Scott designed The Ski to be a versatile daily driver that can handle any conditions and terrain, from groomer laps to off-piste exploring to some fresh turns on a quick backcountry tour. The 91-93 millimeter waist adds to the skis do-it-all-nature by providing just the right amount of float in deeper snow without being overwhelming on hardpack. A rockered tip adds to the Ski’s aptitude in all conditions, and Scott’s 3D sidecut improves edge control, adds stability throughout turns, and delivers an overall playful feel.
The Ski features a full-length paulownia core that keeps the ski light and responsive while also maintaining a smooth, consistent flex. Scott’s Elliptic Sandwich construction is responsible for the torsionally stiff, powerful overall feel, which you’ll enjoy whether you’re ripping East Coast groomers or West Coast fluff.
This is scott the ski it’s a brilliant. Super all-round ski for anybody from an. Intermediate level to an advanced level skier reason being the construction of the ski an intermediate level will allow. You to be quite Cruz and very easy. Turning but if you pick up the pace you. Push it a bit more you ski faster you ski more aggressively the ski construction will still allow you to get. Good grip good edge hold good stability. At speed the way this ski shape is made. It has a long tip profile at the front. Here so the contact point with the ground is much further back on piste that gives you the feeling of a more. Agile playful ski but once you ski off. Piece this longer length of ski allows. You to float through the powder it gives you a smooth cruiser feel off-piste. Scott the ski is a brilliant ski for. Anyone who wants a playful fun feeling. Ski whether you’re an intermediate level. Skier or higher but the beauty of this ski is it will progress with you and it will help your skiing if you want more information please visit us at. Hillingdon or have a look on our website at ski Bartlett calm.
Hop on the Nordica Enforcer 100 Ski before you head to your local hill to provide yourself with versatile carving prowess. The combination of the 100mm waist and rocker-camber-rocker profile can go quickly edge to edge on groomers, power through chop, and float though fresh powder. The rocker in the tail and limited swing weight also helps you break your edge free and pivot on a dime when you find yourself in tight situations. To tie it all together beefy metal and carbon layers laminate a full wood core to create a powerful and stable base that can handle any conditions you come across.
Thanks guys. Hi skiers jeff from ski essentials calm. And we’re here today to take a look at another 2020 ski and happens to be. Another 2020 nordic as ski the reason. Why you’re seeing some extra nordica content from us this month is January is. The nordica ski happy month in our ski. Happy photo contest so if you remember. From the enforcer 88 review if you caught that nordic is giving away a pair. Of next year’s enforcer 88 or Santana 88. So really cool super easy to enter. There’s a link to contest details in. This video there’s also a link at the. Bottom of the written article so. Definitely encourage you to enter that it’s really fun and it’s fun kind of. Just looking through other people’s photos do there’s a link to entries for. The month of January on the contest page so check that out and you could win some. Enforcer 88’s which are really cool if. You haven’t seen that in for 388 review definitely go take a look at it really. Exciting new ski and very similar theme. As this one oh for free that we’re gonna look at today so let’s kind of dive. Right into it we kind of touched on the enforcer 104 when we did the 88 review but. Essentially if you missed that kind of. The general theme of the enforcer collection for 2020 has been split into. The enforcers and the enforcer free so. The enforcer collection is basically the. 88 the 90 3 and the 100 and the free is the 104. The 110 and the 15 or 115 which you just. Used to be called the pro so to kind of. Subsections of the enforcer collection. The Easiest way to think about it is the. Enforcer ski is the 88 93 and 100 are. You know kind of more traditional all-mountain skis in terms of their mix. Of performance characteristics and then the free skis are a little bit softer. Snow oriented more playful stuff like. That so really cool i like that they. Kind of differentiated the two collections like that i think it makes more sense which we’ll get to at the end of this video I’m going to compare this ski the 104 to the 110 and to also to the 100 which i think is just a natural. Comparison because it’s width falls between those two skis so that’s kind of. A bit of a summary of the 20/20 enforcer collection we’ve skied this 104 for like. Over a month now a lot of our different a lot of different staff members of skeeted we’ve gotten some different perspectives from different people i personally have had it in a lot of different snow conditions so really I’ve been able to put it to the test and let’s kind of just summarize some changes as we mentioned in the 88. Review the 88 and the 104 as the two new. Skis of the collection they get some construction updates so the first is. There are true tip technology if you. Remember they removed some abs plastic. Material and extended the lightweight wood core further into the tip i really. Like that i think a decrease swing weight we’re going to talk about that a little bit more but i think that was a valuable change to this 104 and then the. Other is their carbon reinforced chassis so basically the fiberglass mock-up of the ski now has full-length carbon. Strips through it and that’s as well. Lighter it’s 35% lighter than. Traditional fiberglass mock-ups or layups so and it’s also increasing. Power it’s kind of how nordica put it to. Me it’s maybe it is powerful but i felt. An energetic responsive feel that. Might not be all there in the 110 the one times a great ski but there are some differences between these skis so that’s. Kind of the new construction techniques that true tip and the carbon reinforced chassis really cool the shape. Of the 104 free is basically the same. As the 110 so going back to the. Difference between the 88 93 100 and the. 104 110 115 basically the three narrower. Skis share a shape cheryl would core two and then the three. Wider skis also share a shape there is. Some slight differences because the length breakdown is different on these. 70 to 79 186 and then 191 which is a. Little bit different than what we’ve seen in the traditional or classic. And forester models but really the key here is the 104 has quite a lot of tail. Rocker just like the 110 and the free. Nice long tip rocker — that’s kind of. Trait of vol enforcer skis but the. Difference is that tail shape quite a. But different than the 100 and the flex patterns a little bit softer — but we’ll we’ll touch on that at the very end of this video but yeah what do we think so. I’ve skied the 110 a lot so it was. Really fun for me to get to ski the 104. I’m gonna start with soft snow performance because i think that’s more their focus then than anything else. Although the 104 it’s starting to feel. Pretty versatile which we’ll get to so. We’ve gotten a lot of snow this year in Vermont we’ve had a lot of good days to test both these skis i skied it on a really deep day I’ve skied it on. Multiple kind of not so deep but still. Soft days. The 110 feels more like a true powder. Ski so there were a couple days when i. Had both pairs with me the 110 and the 104 we got like a 20-inch storm recently. And i did kind of want to take my. One tens but what i was finding is i. Wasn’t losing too much float on the 104. Right away there is a little bit you. Lose a little bit of float between the 110 and the 104 but not a huge amount so. Those first couple runs like imagine the. First run of a powder day maybe even the second run of a big powder day i. Preferred skiing the 110 in most. Scenarios but pretty much right away after that i preferred being on the 104. And again it’s not really losing too. Much float on the 104 and what you get. Is a lot of versatility so when the. Snow got choppy kind of what i was. Saying in the written portion of the article too is here at stowe things get tracked out really quickly so if you want to keep skiing fresh lines and. You’re kind of forced to go into tight trees whether i was skiing chopped up. Snow or whether i was getting into tight. Trees the 104 was an absolute blast i. Think the lighter the weight that. They took out of the 104 if you were to. Compare it to the 110 it’s more noticeable the difference between the 110 and the 104 then the 93 to the 88. Which i think makes sense because the 88. When you’re on a ski like that you spend more time kind of like driving the ski down the fall line you’re not as likely. To like flick it around and pivot it as. A ski like the 104 with the turned up tail and i think because of that what. You want to do on a ski like the 104 or the 110 you notice that lighter swing weight so it’s also a little quicker. Edge to edge so when i was getting into trees i really valued the perform. Of the 104 i have a blast skiing the 110. — but i did find that the 104 was a little bit quicker kind of i mean it’s what you’d expect they took weight out of the tips and tails they lighten the swing weight and it’s narrower so of course it’s quicker. But i think that’s an important thing to consider when you’re when you’re going through these skis the 110 is it. Blast through crud really well i think. It stays a little bit more stable than the 104 if you’re kind of like straight. Lining through choppy snow but the 104. Does it really well too so that was. Really fun for me and then i think on. Infirm snow so that was kind of we kind. Of just compared it to the 110 and on. Firm snow the natural comparison is to. The 100 and i think going back a moment. Something that nordica says with in this. Free collection you can pretty much just. Like kind of focus on how deep the snow. Is that you normally ski like if you’re if you live in british columbia and you’re constantly skiing like super deep tis the extra width is valuable but here. On the east i mean this could easily be your kind of dedicated powder ski so you. Kind of just pick and choose based on how much snow you’re skiing there’s more. Of a difference between the 100 and the. 104 than the 104 to the 110 in my. Opinion i mean that comes from the shape and between these skis you can really. Focus more on your skiing style so. Can the 104 carve turns on groomers. Absolutely omit it actually does it. Really well it like i said it’s noticeably quicker than the 110 edge-to-edge the difference there is you. Get not quite as much power in the 104. As the 1/100 but you also get a softer. Flexing platform that’s a little bit more forgiving and more playful so for me if you’re say you’re looking at an. All-mountain ski in the enforcer collection and you want to do a little bit of everything on this all-mountain ski and. You want to be around 100 underfoot your two choices are the enforcer 100 and the. Enforcer of 100 for free and between the. Two to me you just focus on your skiing. Style so if you’re a more down the fall. Line charging type skier really likes to. Drive your ski the 100 is probably going. To be a little bit more up your alley. The tail is stiffer there’s not as much rocker in the tail so you get a little bit more power like finishing a carving turn but if you’re more the playful. Freebie type guy i don’t think the. Enforcer 104 is gonna lack any edge grip any carving ability especially for. Skiers that the kind of ski in that style so i think it really just positions itself as its filling a. Gap in the line that like i didn’t even. Realize existed until they made this ski. But there is there’s there’s a void. Between that and force or 100 and the. 110 if you want that more playful. Freebie freestyle inspired feel but you. Don’t want to go all the way up to a width that really feels like a powder. Ski a full-on powder ski that’s 104 is a. Great new choice and i think a lot of. Skiers are going to at least consider it. As their new kind of do everything all-mountain ski you know i don’t want. To take anything away from either of these skis the 110 certainly has its place and the 100 certainly has its place and also the 100 it’s its not a. Slouch in soft snow conditions by any means we took this ski up to the top of the. Chin here in stowe so kind of above treeline groomed side country. Backcountry terrain and i was on these. And there were a couple people on 100s. The people on the 102 they weren’t like. Struggling i think this ski just allowed. Me to be a little bit more playful i think gave. Me a little bit more confidence because it was easier to kick that tail out i think that’s that’s definitely a. Noticeable difference between this ski and the 100 is the ability to release the tail edge especially in soft snow conditions so yeah definitely a valuable. Addition to this line you know like i. Was saying it pretties many offers there pretty many presents it’s not a whole new level of performance it’s its still. Very enforcer desk you can tell like we. Said about the 88 — you can tell that you have an enforcer on your feet but it. Gives you the option to get that playfulness in a ski that’s quicker edge to edge a little bit easier to throw around and say arguably more. (Maneuverable) than the 110 just because they lighten that swing weight up and because the quicker edge to edge feel so definitely a really cool ski i. Said at the beginning that we’d kind of do a little bit of a flex comparison so. It’s not super soft but what i like. About the enforcer 104 and the 110 — it’s one of the things that that makes that ski a lot of fun for me is its a pretty even flex from tip to tail it’s. Not like super soft but it’s not super firm either and then the 100 is not a. Crazy stiff ski but i feel like. It’s its definitely stiffer when i flex it and when i ski it and again. You feel a difference out of that tail shape too so that’s it. Really exciting to present this new enforcer 100 for free like i said we’ve. We’ve tested it in a wide range of snow. Conditions a wide range of terrain so. Let us know if you have any questions I’m more than happy to talk more about this ski i could spend i could probably. Spend the rest of the afternoon just talking about this ski and in kind of the subtleties and differences in performance between this existing nordica ski is used from other collections but let us know if you have. Any questions, and we’ll do our best to answer in the comments I’m sure they’re. Going to be a lot of skis that people want to compare this to i can think of a lot of off the top of my head if you remember when we. Release the fisher ranger 102 f our. Review and kind of compared that to the 98 this feels like a pretty similar. Comparison so if you know is the ranger. 102 f r is to the ranger 98 i think. It’s a very similar comparison to compare the 104 to the 100 here so. Hopefully I’ll have some more opportunities to ski them nordica kind. Of left us with this pair and as far as i know they’re not gonna come take them from us, so we’ll keep skiing them still. Only January here and snow, so we’re gonna have a bunch of more bunch of more. Powder days or whatever kind of conditions plenty of more. Opportunities to test this ski the rest of the season, so we’ll let you know if anything changes or if our opinion changes or if we have anything to add to this review we will certainly let you. Now but i encourage you to check them. Our si a or outdoor retailer the trade show is next week chances are you’re. Gonna start seeing a lot more content about them after that’s usually the. Week where companies start releasing more information so you’ll see. More about them definitely a cool ski. Like we said about the 88 it’s definitely a valuable addition to the line in general and i think no more. Than ever it’s its easier to look at. The enforcer collection and really. Really choose the ski that’s. Specifically tailored to how you like to. Ski and the snow conditions that you ski you know so say you’re more of that down. The fall lines directional skier you like. To drive your ski you basically pick the. Width that makes more sense to you between the 88 to 93 and the 100 and. Then say you’re more of a playful skier or you’re really looking for a powder ski you can kind of do the same with the. 104 110 and 115 so that’s it let us know. If you have any questions we will be out at si a lor next week so follow us on social media. If you don’t already we’ll be updating. You throughout the show with exciting stuff that word that we’re seeing we were actually down at piko yesterday for a non snow demo so ski skied some more. 20 20 skis so we will continue to. Release reviews should have at least one. A week for the rest of the season so. Keep checking back, and we will see you on the slopes.
Hi skiers I’m jeff from ski essentials. Comm we’re here today to take a look at. The 2019 nordica enforcer 93 the. Enforcer 93 is unchanged for 2019 so it. Remains the same as it’s been this season and last season as well, but we’ve. Never actually done a video review of the enforcement 93, so we thought we’d. Take a look at it and kind of round out our video reviews and written. Reviews of the 2019 enforcer collection. So this is the 2019 and for 293 just to. Take a look at the graphics really quick so 2019 and for 293 this is the 2019. Enforcer 100 which we recently did a review of and this is the 2018 enforcer. Ninety-three graphic so essentially this season’s graphic or the season that. We’re in right now even though ski. Seasons almost over this season’s graphic is there on the end, and we do have some some of the 2018. Graphic left i think we’re down to just 185 and 190 3s but anybody that’s. Looking for an enforcer 93 in those. Lights keep in mind that we do have the 2018 graphic still probably the least. Change in terms of graphics from 2018 to. 2019 for the enforcer 93 it does change. Its old darker and it has these topo. Lines that all the 2019 enforcers have but it still kind of retains that. Gray muted feel with the red highlights. On it so cool new graphics for 2019 but. But no structural changes let’s take a. Quick look kind of talk real quickly about the construction and performance of this ski the wood core in it is. Poplar and ash so relatively dense but. Not exceptionally heavy poplar is pretty. Lightweight and then that’s supported. There’s sandwich construction in the enforcer 93 like all the other enforcers. With point four millimeter thickness tit anal layers. Above and below that wood core so 0.4. Millimeters is relatively narrow when it. Comes to metal laminates which is fairly. Important when we’re talking about the enforcer ninety-three we’ll get into its. Performance in a little bit here but. Because the metal is a little bit thinner it allows for a slightly softer. Flex overall while still kind of. Retaining the power and vibration. Damping and all those benefits of metal, so we’ll talk a little bit more about that thickness of the metal and what it does to the ski but that’s the overall. Construction and then the shape of the. Enforcer ninety-three actually let’s grab another one here quite a bit of. Camber underfoot so i think it’s. Important to remember which i think well we’ll touch on again when we get to confirm snow performance but mostly. Camber in the enforcer ninety-three so from where my hand is to where the other. Hand is that’s all camber and you know. If you take away the rockered portions. Of the ski what’s what’s left what’s. Left is camber a wood core and two. Sheets of metal on paper that’s like. Race deconstruction so again that metal. Is thinner but it’s important to. Remember that the heart of this ski is camber with a wood core of two sheets of. Metal now there is a fair amount of. Rocker both in the tail there’s the tail. Rocker there so a little bit of rise out of the tail a little bit more rise out. Of the tip so longer tip rocker than. Tail rocker and then both the tip in the tail have what i like to call some very. Subtle early taper which is something. That I’ve talked about on other enforcer. Reviews and other ski reviews but i. Really like that subtle early taper. Shape which I’ll get to why i like that so much. When we talked about kind of soft snow performance and as well as turn engagement so firm snow let’s let’s dive. Into performance here on firms now the. Enforcer 93 carves exceptionally well. For an all-mountain ski with a 93. Millimeter waist width or another way to put that is it carves exceptionally well. For how versatile of a ski it is that. Wood core it gives it you know that’s where the performance really starts that wood core already providing good torsional. Stiffness a nice stable platform those. Two sheets of metal really give it a nice smooth feel I’m firm snow so you. Now you’re charging down a groomer linking gs turns very damp and. Stable ski you do get a little movement. Out of the tips because the rockers fairly long i would definitely not call. It tips chatter really just a little bit. Of movement in the rocker which is not uncommon by any means and i think. Something that you won’t even notice unless you’re looking at your skis which. You really shouldn’t be doing anyways so. A little bit of Monera but overall it’s. A very stable ski very smooth great. Vibration damping really fun to. Link turns on so this 185 this is as well. Somewhat unique to the enforcer line the turn radius is 18 point 5 which for a. Ski this long with two sheets of metal. That’s relatively small for a turn. Radius so in my opinion it gives it a. Very nice responsive feel pretty quick. When you’re when you’re linking carving turns I’m almost like cheater gs ski. Turn radius there so you kind of can. Just lay on edge and get a really. Snappy carving turn without having to. Get the ski to flex a ton, so we don’t. Have to ski like ted ligety to make it look like we’re skiing like ted ligety which is the whole point right. And then i think something that’s important to note about the enforcer 93. Considering its performance considering the fact that it’s a wood core ski with two sheets of metal how powerful it is how damp it is at speed it’s quiet. Forgiving i wouldn’t point a beginner skier. Towards it i certainly wouldn’t point a timid intermediate towards it but. Among these skis with two sheets of. Metal i think it’s arguably the most. Approachable i think if you’re a fairly. Athletic or fairly aggressive intermediate level skier you can’t you. Can ski it and you’ll get a lot out of it not like the ski is fighting people. And in that ability level and part of. The reason for that it’s pretty easy to. Release your tail edge so you know. You’re linking carving turns linking carving turn linking carving turns maybe you get going a little too fast it’s. Really easy to let that tail slip out. And it’s also very predictable and. Intuitive so you’re not you’re not. Losing that edge grip when you want to. Hold on to your carving turn but. It’s pretty easy to release that carve when you want to i was skiing some. More carving oriented skis with flatter. Stiffer tales recently and in the days. Prior to that i had been skiing me in for 293 a little bit and coming off the. Enforcer 93 onto a ski with a stiffer. Tail it really made me realize that the. Benefit in this specific ski of. Releasing that tail edge for me its. Speed control i think for others if the. Turn if your preferred turn shape is more of a slipping pivoting kind of down. The fall line with lots of short. Pivoting turns it’s gonna be great for that too but for me what i noticed about. It most is speed control it really. Really lets me kind of open up my. Arms and go pretty fast because i know how easy it’s gonna be for me to slow. Down even mid turn you know even like in. A carving turn in a carving turn kick the tail of a tiny bit get back in that. Same carving turn it’s i think. Impressively easy to do stuff like that. Which kind of translates nicely to off. Piste or groomed performance i think. It’s an exceptionally maneuverable ski. Something i talk about in the article as. I think a lot of skiers this is kind of. An opinion of mine a theory that i have i. Would say there’s a fair amount of people that go right past the enforcer. 93 and go straight to the 100 if you’re. The type of skier that’s always seeking out groomed snow train it’s really. Easy to — in your mind say oh i need the. Wider one but i think something that’s. Important to remember about both the 93. And the 100 is they’re both all-mountain skis by all-mountain ski i mean they can. Ski the entire mountain the 93 is certainly no slouch when you take it off of groomers it’s far from a dedicated. Groomer shape very maneuverable in. Soft snow the rocker tips and tails that. Early taper it makes it very catch free you do get a little bit more float out. Of the 100 but to me you don’t always. Need that float i think a good example. Is here at stowe you know we get a lot. Of days when there’s a foot of snow or fresher snow overnight snowfall so. Those first few runs of the day we’re skiing knee-deep snow and in those. First few runs you could make an argument that the wider skis are more appropriate but the conditions here. Get tracked out really quickly and pretty much after the first couple runs. Then you could make an argument that the enforcer’ 93 is more appropriate there. Were definitely some days this season where i was skiing the enforcer 110 or a similar width. Powder ski and it was great right away. But after just a couple of runs i was kind of wishing i had something like the enforcer 93 um really quick for having. Two sheets of metal in it i think the swing way is a little bit lighter than most skis with two sheets of metal that’s something that i find personally so i really enjoy it. In groomed snow. I think it’s quicker i think it’s noticeably quicker than the 100 which i like for trees and moguls and another kind of tight terrain like that so. Definitely no slouch off-piste so you. Now if you’re looking for that type of ski and you’re considering the 100 i. Would consider the 93 — one of my kind. Of big personal recommendations for people is to buy the ski for the snow. Conditions that you ski not for the snow. Conditions that you want to ski which i. Am guilty of i have been guilty of. Buying skis that are too long or an. Unnecessary width in the past, and they’re just not quite as versatile as i wish they were so you know it’s really. Easy in your mind to say i want a ski i can ski super deep powder and open bowls. And you know like heli skiing terrain. But for most of us we spend a lot more. Time in kind of variable snow conditions tight terrain like trees and moguls so. Keep that in mind if you’re shopping for an all-mountain ski be realistic and i. Think the enforcer’ 93 is a great example of that within the rest of the enforcer collection it’s. Perfectly appropriate for a lot of skiers and then you get that little. Extra bit of versatility it’s definitely. Quicker edge to edge on firm snow than the 100 carves really well i. Think you could make the argument that it holds an edge better than the 100 narrow skis just have better torsional. Stiffness you know it’s same construction between these two skis but i think i. Think the 93 does have slightly better edge grip just because of the width. So yeah that’s the enforcer 93 we won’t. Talk too much more about it because we’ve spent a lot of time on chair love. Chat and on our youtube channel talking about the enforcer collection so i think. Most people have asked the. Questions that they want to ask and kind of understand the whole line but. Definitely let us know a lot of people are wanting to compare the enforcer 93. To some new skis that are just coming out without naming names there are some new models in that low to mid 90s. Width range and i think we’re gonna. Start to see I’ll continue to see more. In that range it’s definitely a. Popular segment of all mountain ski is arguably the best single segment for the. The Widest range of skiers so yeah that’s a. 93 let us know if you have any questions, and we will see you on the slopes.
Hi skiers I’m jeff from ski essentials. Comm we’re here today to do a review of the 2019 nordica enforcer 100 you may. Have seen our review of the 110 a few weeks ago back in december we were able. To meet up with the nordica crew at stowe and got on most of the 2019 skis. So we’ve got a lot of content to share with you guys which is part of the reason why we’re rolling out the 100 review shortly after that 110 review and. Yet pretty exciting stuff but we’ll get. Into that in a second before that we’ve got a couple exciting things going on right now next week is the on snow demo. At stratton mountain so we’ll be testing. You know a lot of skis a lot of 20:19. Skis from a lot of different manufacturers and brands, so we’ll be. Sharing some content from that with you it’s always an exciting time of year to really get to see everything on snow all in one place. And this is the first week of our fourth. Annual ski happy photo contest if you’re. Not familiar with it we were basically we’re giving away like eight thousand. Dollars worth of gear there’s 14 different ways to win and two grand. Prize winners get their pick of 2019. Skis from blizzard and 2019 boots from technical so pretty exciting stuff you. Basically all you have to do is kind of share photos of you having a good. Time on skis there’s lots of different categories so check that out you can. Find links on the website to ski happy and I’ll put a link in the. Description to this video as well so check that out and i know that you guys probably have lots of skiing photos to share with us and you can win a lot of cool stuff so nordica enforcer 100. Probably the most important thing to say is that it’s back and it’s unchanged for. 2019 so no structural changes no changes. To the shape no changes to the action it’s the same enforcer 100 as. It’s been for i think this will be the fourth season for this new enforcer. 100 so no big changes no changes at all. Except for this new top sheet this. Kind of new top sheet theme that carries through all of all the 2019. Enforcers is i brought the current year. This is the 2018 force or 100 over here so you can kind of see the updates to. Graphics they’ve got these cool kind of. Topo lines running through them and. Basically the same theme same imagery to. Cut across all four enforcer skis for next year with different colorways i think the 2019 for 100 is probably. The best-looking enforcer 100 yet let me. Now in the comments if you agree but. Let’s kind of jump right into it what. Makes this ski special I’m assuming that. You’re familiar with it because it’s pretty much one of those popular skis on. The market right now if not the most. Popular in terms especially in terms of all-mountain skis keeps winning a lot of. Reward awards a lot of our staff ski on. It and you know it’s just a great. Ski let’s talk about construction of the. Enforcer 100 it’s a poplar and beech wood. Core so I’m a mix of core materials. There and in the wood but that’s a really both of those are quality wood poplar is also pretty lightweight so it. Helps to keep the total weight down and then that wood core is basically. Sandwiched between two layers of carbon and then two sheets of tit anal that are. Point four millimeters thick so like i. Can see one of the layers the layer. That’s basically against the base you can see it in the sidewall profile you can’t see the top layer but it’s there. So wood core two sheets of metal a bunch. Of carbon in there that construction is. You know on paper it screams. High-performance ski and i think the enforcer 100 is definitely a high-performance ski but. It’s unique in the sense that it’s pretty forgiving and pretty approachable so let’s kind of go through some. Different snow conditions and different turns and stuff like that and talk about what it does well on firm. Snow you know if you’re an expert. Aggressive skier it’s pretty hard to. Push it past its limits so you know if. You’re really putting a lot of energy putting a lot of power into your carving turns you know as long as you’re. Staying relatively balanced you’re not going to feel the edge release definitely that’s really good edge hold. Because tail rocker you may have picked. Up on me saying you have to stay relatively balanced I’d say if your weight starts to get a little far back. Mm you’ll feel yourself kind of lose the turn a little bit but as long. As you’re really balanced on the ski which is easy to do because we’ve got a big sweet spot you push you can. Lay down like gs race style turns on it. One of the guys that was skiing. With us sam during our test day back in. December he has a strong racing. Background and it was pretty fun to watch him just really rip turns on. It and you know you get that stability. And then the power of metal you get. Really good damping properties out of it so you can really get up in charge which i think is a reason why a. Lot of people like the enforcer 100 on. The other end of the spectrum it’s you. Don’t have to be a rippin skier to ski. It you know the amount of tip rocker and. Kind of the tip shape and the tail to. Which I’ll get you but the tips specifically definitely helps turn. Initiation you can kind of type of ski that you can tip it on edge and it’s. Helping take you into the turn so you don’t have to be the most aggressive skier you know you’re not fully d. Cambering a really stiff ski in fact that’s a good point or a good to mention that the overall stiffness of the enforcer 100 although it’s a pretty. Stiff ski it’s not the stiffest out there it’s got a really even flex pattern from tip to tail plenty of you. Now plenty of support and stability but it’s not overly stiff to the point where it feels too demanding also allows you. To release the tail edge when you want to you know i was just saying that it holds an edge really well but if. You’re you know making a series of pivoting turns down a groomer or just. Kind of like a mixture of a carve and a. Smear call it a slav or whatever you. Want to call it does those turns. Really well too so on a groomer it’s a great ski because. You can do a wide range of things you. Can kind of pivot and smear your turns or you can ride your edge you can give it all the power you want and it. Performs accordingly something that we. We often talk about with the enforcer. 100 is its very intuitive it’s really. Easy to get on it for the first time and. And feel right at home there’s not. Really an adjustment period which is. True again for a pretty wide range of abilities so pretty cool there i as well. Think along the same lines it’s a very predictable ski it’s not going to do. Something crazy that it’s not going to like catch or hook up really quickly and. Unexpectedly and then shoot you into another turn unexpectedly and quickly. It’s very predictable when you get. Into softer snow the performance is. Really quite similar to the performance. On groomers pretty much everything i said about groomers you can apply to soft snow as well so take you know say. You’re out west on a powder day and an. Hour and a half or two hours into the day all your favorite runs are chopped. Up bumpy conditions you can ski really. Fast over conditions like that because of the tip rocker and the stability from that wood core and the carbon and the two sheets of metal the ski stay is really quiet really smooth. Over choppy snow conditions so that’s. Something that i personally like about it a lot but then you know when you get. Into tighter terrain moguls trees stuff. Like that pretty much all of our terrain here at stowe you’re rarely opening it. Up and then really charging down chopped up snow and unless it’s a powder day and you’re on you’re on a cut trail but one. Where are the trees when we’re in moguls even just a lot of our natural snow on. Groomed trails are pretty tight so you. Really need to get the ski to maneuver quickly and that’s where kind of releasing the tail edge of the ski comes into play pretty easy to pivot again for. A ski with two sheets of metal especially easy to pivot and that to me. Is one of the reasons why this ski. Has developed such a following is it’s its powerful its stable but it’s still. Easy to maneuver easy to pivot pretty. Manageable like i said you don’t have to. Be an expert skier in deep snow. Like true powder conditions you get good. Float out of it i think the tip shape really helps a lot it’s got some kind of slight early taper in the tip or i. Often describe it as it’s a very straight tip you know from about here to. There it’s its pretty straight i mean i. Think that gives it a really predictable again went back to predictable feel in. Soft snow you know you the ski sinks but it sinks. Consistently it’s not like you’re you’re sinking sinking and then the tip has drastic early taper and then that part kind of dives i think it’s a great. Tips you tip shape for first office now and again it’s got a really kind of even. Controllable feel never doesn’t even. Crazy so yeah you know the highlight or. In my opinion the highlight of the. Enforcer’ 100 which isn’t really a not a traditional. Highlight but kind of just its ability to do everything it’s definitely one of. Those skis where you can you. Could is an easy one ski quiver. Even for us here on the east there’s a. Lot of people around here that’s the an enforcer 100 pretty much every. Day i think a little bit more appropriate as a daily driver if you’re more in west coast terrain but there’s. There’s no right or wrong there some. People just prefer wider skis of course there is the enforcer 93 which you know. All in all very similar performance to the 100 but it is a little bit quicker edge to edge and arguably a little bit more appropriate for east coast conditions as a daily driver ski. Depending on where you live perhaps but. Come in its nice it gives you an option. Kind of pick your waist width. And go from there the 110 and the pro. Which we talked more about in the 110 review are more different from the. 100 then the 93 and the 100 are. From each other so that’s the 2019. Enforcer 100 know what changes to it. Like i said when i started this video still a great ski we think it’ll still. Stack up really well against some of the new models and changes that we’re seeing for 2019 i want to touch on length real. Quick we get a lot of questions about length on the enforcer 100 this isn’t a. Cut and dry rule but i would say generally if you’re an advanced skier or. Up and you feel like you’re in between sizes i would say 75 to 80 percent of. The time we recommend going with the longer of the two i think a lot of. People find themselves in between the 177 and 185 myself included and. I’ve found well I’ve spent plenty of time on both lengths i think the 185. Feels a little bit more appropriate but it’s its tough to toss up between those. Lengths for sure i think it’s its. Relatively hard to go wrong when you’re. Choosing your length for the enforcer 100 you know like take me for example i. Love skiing 177 and i also love skiing. 185 but definitely let us know if you have questions or want our feedback on what length to choose and yeah that’s. The force 100 for 2019 keep checking. Back to trail of chat and our youtube channel for more reviews definitely check out the ski happy contest and enter that if you haven’t already, and we got a lot of awesome prizes to give away there and, and we will see you guys on the slopes and if any of you are down at stratton next week keep an eye out for us, and we’ll be there will be there. Skiing and filming and having a good time see you on the slopes.

Prepare yourself for your next deep snow mission by clicking into the Rossignol Black Ops 118 Ski. These powder specific skis boast a 118mm waist that can handle even the deepest days and situates them as Rossignol’s widest freestyle oriented powder ski. The top secret turn radius (believed to be medium length) is centered on the ski giving the Black Ops incredible pivoting control and freestyle prowess for big tricks and switch landings in deep snow. When you find yourself riding them forward, the rocker-camber-rocker profile will keep you floating over deep snow, turning on a dime, and even providing excellent edge hold on firm snow thanks to a surprising 5mm of camber. All of these attributes are wrapped up with a beefy construction centered around a full wood core that creates one of the heavier skis on the market. This added weight may limit your touring options but will give you peace of mind while you are going 100mph through chopped up snow.
It also rolls the shooting in vemdalen. Don’t forget to walk so you. Don’t miss anything from it the age you have driven a little. Mysterious and so. what is this for? Good question. i got it here given by the suppliers. and he said that. He doesn’t really know what it is built by mystery. You get to test and. Feel. i do not know either what the model is called but the 100. 180. Cm long and 99 feet to find out facts. When we talk to the supplier how was it going on. He described it as that would feel like a complement to going. Be able to get something new. So described he the one who. The feeling of slalom. Ski got stuck in a completely different and it feels like it’s not so. A lot of hockey on it. so you get no help in the turn but you know how. You should. Run on and press hard into the turn so the turn works. Is very good at me as real piste. But at the same time one is. Very hard as well as for soft forward after all. How did you like. How did you like it went outside the podium. It is difficult. When you don’t have any forming their opinion at all is difficult to. Just say short though it works well there. So as it rocks, i enjoy it a lot so you had to work a little. But we. Drove on it works before. But i would like to strike a blow for me. Think it would be lucky today. For one. Park riders. who should go. Over and drive a little more with four or off-piste for prejudice. The. Very many ski. At the same time has these four skills should. Summarize a grade. What can be done where would i give a little more time to drive me in. I just dare give it a third today but i think it also this one. Like driving this a few more go and feel like i think. It has more to give I’ve managed to get out. Max. Now you have also gone on when my Rossini ski mounted. What. Did you like it. it was a little adventure. i am not used to go mid-mounted. It is. Little style. It was a long time since i was small. For a few weeks that was. Test on skis but it was exciting. It was strange the first ride. The second yoke just get into it a little. You came to the ski. It was. Easy to go into the swing though it is difficult it does not really feel. Fair to. as my mounting. Of. Riders were difficult to assess it but it went into the turn fast. It was stiff the stiffer and the. i wanted to play was playful. Wants. Well out at the edge and jump at it. Here, team. What may you for rating. It gets. There it is still a four. i could imagine having a bullet. Had you fitted them in. The middle and everyone cheered red a bit further back. Not really that much. But maybe. Stands jonas from Rosendo. You also have this year, a light clothing selected. Has. You still warm socks. That’s right. Have worked just as well this year. That project is the same pair warm socks this year. That’s right. Good. Well, it’s not just a matter of struggle and throw even if you work in. Industry. What is this for which our skaters have tested. This is black ops 98 and that is a new ski that came last year. Can you say that has been a limited product that we only have. Tried to build a shark around that just circles in social media so. There have been no facts about them. The only thing we all know knows which one. Lengths and which waist measurement it has. then it was for construction. And so on. it’s only secretly simply so that it is. Made with our team skaters in the united states who wanted something special. To go on so based on their wishes. i know the best run on them. Also. That’s right. he is our Swedish. Skaters so that’s right. I’ve heard very well from him. he is very positive. But I’m not really up to it. is this a new width for i year or when he came last year. What was. The same waist size then. It is the same waist size a new one design and construction. Don’t know about it. Not updated but it’s a new one design. Available in a hundred years 1992. and. Then what’s new is that we have a black op 98 ladies then. 160 272. Our skaters almost feel like that you were mine mounted. Now we look. A little closer to it. it is not completely mounted but. What makes it. Is mounted a little further ahead than most other skis. Do it. Something for the ride. What would you say. First of all it is. More this kind of ski more than vc jobs but still a real one. Good skis there because there are opportunity to have it and jump. And spin and so on ends up in my fitting run a bit. Later on. and it is well off the reason it should be one. Very. Versatile ski. But just for that. off-piste skiing so there. Well, no one is right. You have after all, rocker both type and tails. It is. Well more for the park rider maybe who want a wider ski. So. You are now waiting. What do you think about the commercial impact of this. The shark that now comes rushing and sell end or whatever. What do you think. Will go home. It’s taken but i think so that it is still. We don’t know. So much about what it is like it is difficult to talk about consumption but. Always. We have received from those who dare to buy and from our skiers it is. A solid stable ski as well. The here is. a moderate ski like that. Is still playful and has one quiet character but with a little more. Meat on the legs than solo maybe to the one who wants a safe stable. Yet. More breaks. I think that would be enough a very broad target group definitely about. The market is hungry and thinks that it is a good food purchase close. Now let’s just say one thing like that one should do it is to walk on. A certain youtub channel. Which YouTube channel would you go in and. Dominate if you were sitting computer. sweden’s youtube channel clearly. And you will find it here simply. jonas.
Donc le black ops c’est un programme typiquement backcountry big mountain. Sans grosse barbe puisqu’il sa double. Spatule et le répandant s’imputer sur l’âge donc c’est un ski qui sort cette. When he’s flying through the air on his board, the Bern Boys’ Camino Zipmold Helmet keeps his noggin safe from potential spills, and it does so with a lightweight, comfortable design. To counteract this nimble feeling a medium length turn radius provides the stability and confidence you need to go fast in wide open areas.
The slicer from dynastar so skis got. Mountain yeah definitely more freestyle orientated around all mountain ski. Summary this ski is really good. Fun surprisingly good fun all around the mountain loads of playing it really buttery and fun super rad You.
When it comes to snow, the Kastle BMX 105 HP Ski isn’t picky. Whether
you’re cutting first tracks into a few fresh feet or hunting through chopped up crud to find some hidden powder fields, it’ll give you a smooth and stable ride thanks to its innovative construction and high quality materials. The HP in its name stands for “High Performance” and it takes that queue from the quality of the materials used in its construction. From the base to the sidewalls to the core, you’ll find nothing but the best, including a lightweight woodcore made of silver fir and beech, surrounded by dual titanal layers for added dampening characteristics that really smooth out your ride through even the most variable conditions.
This ski’s got a 105mm waist width that’s definitely at home getting first tracks on a powder day, but has enough versatility to not be relegated to a deep-days-only role. Its camber underfoot ensures edge grip when new snow starts to flatten out into harder packed surfaces, while the rockered tip and tail provide playful float when the deep stuff returns in a couple of days. You’ve also got Hollowtech technology in the tip reducing swing weight, enhancing stability, and delivering a more powerful edge grip as you soar down the mountain. Tack on a semi-cap sidewall construction for added durability, and you’ve got a ski that doesn’t wait for the conditions to dictate when it gets to charge.
