We’re excited we’re learning a lot sharing we’re checking out some new products. Just got this in the mail today, I watching loud and Scott Martin challenge videos got more than one of my favorite fishermen just excited and loves fishing. Definitely prior to me, it’s one of my favorite fishermen to be under garnishing video building he’s practicing casts but uh you Scott Warren, one of my favorites.

Also and also I’ll show you the tackle box, and then you got this nice case with everything and you can tear the lines up in there right right in the inside there. So, basically, if you’re looking the fish light, you know enjoy a quick turn up, something you can pack in the car the top.

Then you just slide in the back or put in the backseat or something. This is a really small package of this line. Ringing – ie survivors from the Berkeley Berkeley line design is type stuff. When it comes it’s really light. All this passage speaks right in here and like I mentioned before it has been you guys yourself like on screen little tackle box that it comes with.

So my co-host, you got a little tackle box. I mean with this pack of light, bring them they you made, but you could put a couple of nice when you Jeeves soft plastics, you can put them in there. Hey guys, dude fishings back with everybody go and, as you can see, I’m in reviews it if you’ve been here since beginning you’ve, seen a bunch of the reviews and unboxings I did in here, but um today, we’re gonna be reviewing the Akuma Voyager travel, spinning rod and reel so I’m gonna be on one take with these tribes, so they’re storage.

Let’s talk about the storage here so here is where you store the rod. You start right up top here, guys guides on the wide side, the end of it on here it fits all five sections of the rods, obviously and then um. So the rod fits in right there we’re going to talk about the rod flat work at it. You have a full grip cork handle with an Akuma real seat, red black and gold cross, wraps for just for a better looking cosmetic finish right about the foregrip, and then you have a little red and gold wrap right there and then five pieces.

You have five guys, including the guide on the tip of the rod and then just it is a six foot, medium light or light. However, you want to classify it power rod because it’s it’s not it’s not blatantly said, but sixteenth to 3/8 ounce I think it’s a medium light. Six foot, long rod you can handle a fairly wide variety of fish species.

Okay, it can handle catfishing, probably small carp if you play them right, but this is a very limber rod. I wasn’t able to bend it in a full you and it didn’t break so pretty strong limbs are broad and then in this compartment you have it’s meant for Ixtapa boxes. It comes with this Okuma tackle box right here, um this okay.

This came with the entire set and you could fit well. You have a long partment there and three smaller ones, getting smaller and smaller, each one, but I’ve been able to fit some fairly large jerkbaits in here poppers and here spoons and rooster tails and other stuff, like that in there and another hack, I’ve learned grabbed an Eagle Claw, like hook box thing that comes with a treble hook, so you can clip terminal tackle on small lures in it and you can fit two or three of these.

With the tackle box teen this compartment, which is a pretty good hack, and then you have this slot right here, which I use for smaller soft plastic bags, but right now, I just had my pliers in it, because bag I was losing was a 20 pack of zoom trip corners and that cannot fit in here. So if you just rest it on top- and since this is a soft nylon case, the very minimal bold, you can still zip it up perfectly fine.

Can you do that all the way across? If you want, and it works just fine and then the real I sold the reel to an old gentleman at my old neighborhood? So I? Don’t have it with me, but it was a. It was a pretty good real excuse me. He had one bearing is very suited for having one bearing and it had very, very strong drag.

My cousin has this reel and it has some very, very good drag and it can hold around a hundred drugs make contest, which I think is just fine for a 2000, 2500 and 3000 size reel spinning reel. So the reel that came with it is fairly good, but if you can upgrade, I definitely do recommend it and right here, I have a Shimano, syncopate, 2500 FG, spinning reel.

This has anti reverse, but not instant, inter verse. As you can see, it always goes back right in front of your hand, so you can use the Quickfire two mechanism, just pull it back, make one in two casts and then flip trail over. It’s not really. This can hold 140 yards of eight pound test. This Rios 30 bucks has four bearings.

The second video I ever made was a review on this. I. Do go a little bit in depth on that. Not the greatest video ever, but definitely I. Think you should check it out. I have popular videos section or most most viewed section, I’m, not sure what it’s called it’s on there at the third I think, but I’m great real in this compartment right here can hold up to a twenty five hundred Assizes real comfortably.

If you get a three thousand sized real, then you’re cramming it too much and it’s bad for the bail wire and the handle, because you do have to fold up the handle and put the bail wire in a certain position for it to fit right. Thankfully, it’s kind of annoying, but not really not too much of a hassle at all. I take this one out of traveling.

You can toss it in a truck or a car or something when you’re driving see you can fish in spot. Next, your ten minutes or so just go fishing, it’s great for that, but back on top get real. I can fit two thousand and twenty five hundred sized reels just fine get any smaller and it will wobble around in here and any real real bigger that will not fit, or it will be bad for the real.

If you do manage to fit it into the slot so- and this case is let me let me see it’s about 18 by 9 18 by 9 by three and a half and four inches tall. Well, four inches thick! Sorry and you have a handle right here which can be velcro together. Then you have a strap right here. You can just sling over your shoulder and just like this so carrying it is no problem and I definitely do recommend this too.

Anyone looking for a travel rod reel under 50 bucks, so you can find this for around 40 bucks price may be a little higher. It may be. A little lower just depends on where you get it and prices do fluctuate, so I’ll leave the link to the cheapest one. Fishing tackle and I’ve got an awesome new product for you guys for all those anglers that want to be ready when they run across a lake or river or if you’re gonna be getting on an airplane or traveling at long distance. You would throw something in the backpack, so you’re always ready to fish. We have a new Voyager, select travel kit, I mean what this is.

It’s gonna be six foot and six and a half foot models that are 24 ton carbon blank, the advantage there is going to be very fast, very responsive, something get a great hook set. It’s also going to be extremely lightweight because that 24 ton carbon, so these six foot and six and a half foot rods, will be five piece construction.

So, as you’ll see here, I’m going to pack down very small into this nice rigid travel kit, we also have a six foot telescopic model. It’s going to be really nice. That’s what you see right here. It’s going to telescope all the way down. So, if you’re traveling up into the sea air, is there anywhere the backcountry? You want to throw the rod in the backpack to me really just an awesome setup.

Now, one of the things that you’ll notice it looks like a custom rod because of the grip configurations, the fore grip and the rear grip. We have teepee material, we have compressed cork and we have a grade cork and you’ll, see that all throughout the sequence of the foregrip and the rear grip. So it’s gonna be a really nice.

Custom look looks very high-end, very nice. The other great thing about the voyager select is: it comes with a premium. Real comes with a new altair at 220 size reel, so that size reel is great. If you want a drop shot for bass, you know go target panfish or target trout. It’s a really versatile set up, but it comes with four bearings, so you get three ball bearings plus roller bearings, so you get instant hook set.

The other nice thing is that we have a rigid metal handle design. So if you do hook a trophy fish and you’re cranking out thinking with a lot of drag, you’re, not gonna, get any flex. The great thing about the Voyager select is that it comes with a machined, aluminum spool and it’s available now you.

Hey guys, it’s John again from Fisher comm I spend a lot of time on the road a lot of time. My car I fly occasionally also I, always make sure I have a fishing rod with me all the time, because a lot of time tonight the road I don’t plan on going fishing, but then I end up staying somewhere and right outside the room. You’ve probably been there, the net type of situation.

You look at your hotel room window and there’s a canal or a pond or a lake state park down the street. You end up being a whole lot closer to the water than you thought you were gonna be, and you always wish you had a rod. Well, this is what I’m going to be using this year for 2016, it’s an Akuma, Voyager travel pack, it’s a medium lightweight rod. It’s a five-piece rod.

It comes totally enclosed in this package. It’s a really cool product and a $50 price point. So you know these days. You can’t get a whole lot for $50, but this is a cool thing from Akuma. It’s got a nice on dole handle here and an adjustable shoulder strap by the material package itself. Here simply has a single zipper that goes around it tie. It opens right up here into a nice package.

It comes with a small little lot. You know tackle box. Here is handy. It’s had a couple extra little cutout spots in it the reel itself again for a for a $50 price point on it. It was got a nice quality. One ball bearing reel here. It’s the Akuma, voyager vs 20. So it’s a size 20 reel, and if you look at the selecting spinning reel video we did a month or so back on.

Why things it talks about is looking for a nice, solid, say in my opinion, you know metal spool on it, so there’s a quality, metal spool on it. It’s got a pretty decent, instant anti reverse on it, but it’s pretty smooth, especially considering it’s a small size reel pretty darn beefy its solid, a whole lot more solid than what you might think for a small compact, 50 dollar package, the rod itself and one of the other last videos.

I talked about was how much I love grip has a five-piece rod. So very simple: you got your five pieces to it. It simply goes straight together. It’s not bad at all again you’re, looking at a fifty dollar package on it, so just going to put it together real real quickly, it’s a six foot rod. So a lot of the travel rods you get and I’ve aligned in the past I’ve also used a lot of travel rods that we’re telescoping.

What you’re pretty cool, they’re, really quick, really easy to use and a lot of those and also keep priest pre lined anyway. I simply simply like release the Bale and shoot the rod out. It would be pretty quick but they’re, often like shorter than this. So here we’re looking to get in a six piece run a six foot rod five pieces, not bad! That’s it is. If you can see that quality rod like I said you know, for fifty dollar price point, nice handy, convenient medium light action.

You really can’t be the associate of 50 dollar price point. Akuma really does a great job producing quality products at a really good price point. You just think about how much would a you know a travel rod. Bag like this cost simply by itself with a quality rod, a five piece rod and then the real I mean you could always upgrade the reel to if you’re, really into having a higher quality real honor.

You could do that, but if you’re looking for just something you know it’s always gonna be there, it’s always gonna be in the trunk. You can take this. You could, like probably put it into a you, know a large checked baggage bag when you’re flying- and you can also like I, said I’m- probably to keep a couple, a bunch of room, runners and stuff like that and in a small box here so always have it ready to go and just got to make sure I have a you know a current fishing license with whatever state I’m in, but it’s really cool product.

Take a look at them online. You don’t want a whole bunch different places online or from your local Akuma dealer. Take a look at it.
