Gonna be doing a review on the Pflueger president spinning reel, so here’s the spinning reel. Let me show you guys right here, Pflueger president spinning reel and then I also have one on this rod. So I think you guys already know what I’m gonna say about this reel, just by showing you guys that I have two of them. I have two of these reels because they’re, absolutely fantastic I’m, not sponsored about Pflueger, not sponsor about any rod, companies or any fishing companies for that matter, but Pflueger makes good spinning reels they’re cheap.

They seem like something that wouldn’t be very good, but they make good spinning reels. They really do. I think that Pflueger makes probably the best spinning reel as far as bang for your buck. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on fishing rods and reels. If you guys are in that same boat, and you want to budget reel, especially a spinning reel, then I would highly recommend Pflueger before I even get into this video.

As far as breaking down the spinning reel, I think that companies that make good products should get rewarded for it. That’s why I’m fine with plugging it in my video, if you guys, are thinking about buying a Pflueger reel, then go pick. One up I will link down the this flooger reel down in the description below that way, you guys can go pick it up yourselves. So these flooger presidents, let me just show one at a time that would probably make it way easier.

So these flooger present reels that I have. They are actually the older model of the flooger president. The reason why I have the older model flooger president, is because I’ve owned these for a while now and at the time I bought these I think was about two years ago. The new version of the flooger president had just came out so Bass Pro had these on sale and I looked up tried to find the differences between the two and there wasn’t a lot of differences between the old model in the new bundle to me, I looked up reviews that the old model solve the good reviews of it and I was like this has been I mean it’s tried and true it’s it’s really been tested.

It’s been a lot of tournament. Fishermen use these reels and I’m like. Why do tournament? Fishermen use Pflueger, spinning reels, but then use one company for all their bait casters and all their rods like I, know. People who fish with all loose rods and all lose reels, but they use flooger, spinning reels I’m like why do they do that Luger, cheap rills lose makes way more expensive reels than flooger? Does wise, flooger so good.

So I had to get a couple of these reels, but again, the reason why I got the old model is because they had them on sale, and I was like why not these seem like they’re good people have given them good reviews and I’ve never really fished with the new president. So if you guys are trying to get the new Pflueger president real, then I really don’t know a whole lot about it. But I would assume it’s a good product, just like the older model, if you guys can find the older model for cheaper I would recommend getting it because you can probably get it for cheaper.

Basically just said that twice but yeah you can probably get the older model cheaper. So if you’re looking for the real I mean go with the older model or at least I would I, don’t think that the Pflueger president, the new one can’t or the new model can beat this one so much that it’s worth paying more for it. So the real I have I believe it’s the 2000, sighs I want to say: I’ve had these reels for so long now, it seems like I believe it’s the 2000, sighs real flooger may not call it the 2000 sighs they may call it a 20 or something like that.

It’s like a mm sighs, spinning reel and that’s what I like for bass, fishing and just all around like walleye fishing trout fishing. If you want something, that’s really versatile. I really recommend the mm size spinning reel and that will suit you just fine on like a seven-foot rod or a six six rod. But if you’re trying to you know, use a spinning rod for deep-sea fishing or something like that, then this is not the right.

This is not the real for you, I’m, not even sure that you can use this in saltwater. Probably not I would have to double check on that, but this reel is a 5 point. 2 to 1 gear ratio reel there recently has been a shift where everybody wants a high gear ratio reel when it comes to bait casters and for a lot of applications. I agree with that. You should have a high gear ratio reel when it comes to bait, casting applications and that’s sort of been the trend when it comes to spinning reels too people won’t like the 7 to 1, spinning reels or the 8 to 1 spinning reels that they make now like crazy, fast, spinning reels.

It used to be that a spinning reel was nowhere near that high of a gear ratio, but now they are, but this is just a five point two to one. Why would I buy a five point, two to one that’s a slow reel. Why would I get such a slow reel? Well, the reason why you get such a slow reel is one. This reel is amazing and two with spinning applications. I’m using this rod primarily for bass, finesse baits whenever I’m trying to slow it down whenever I want to bring my bait in slower a lot of times when I’m out there, fishing and the bite stuff I need to switch to the spinning rod and what I’ll do is I’ll put like a drop, shot or I’ll.

Put a shaky head on here or I will put a wacky worm on it or an eco rig, or something like that, just to try to get a bite or an ed rig and with those baits. You are reeling up slack a lot and you do want a high gear ratio reel for that. But I’m gonna take a different approach when it comes to finesse fishing with a spinning rod, you should have a high gear ratio reel as far as picking up slack I think that makes perfect sense.

But one of my arguments would be. Is that me personally, when I get out there and I’m fishing I like to crank in my reel, handle a lot I, don’t like this? Is steel and so I can’t sit there and just turn my handle like really slow I can’t do that. That’s just not how a fish I can either not turn it at all or I can turn it pretty steadily, and so, with a slower gear ratio reel, you can do that. You can turn it steadily without having to with a higher gear ratio, reel just barely crank it if you’re actually using like a moving bait.

What like right now I have a jerk bait on it or, if you’re, using a crank bait or something like that, because I do use these reels for moving baits and slow moving baits like the finesse tactics and when you’re using it for a variety of applications. I actually prefer the slower gear ratio reel, because whenever I’m fishing with this rod, it is probably because the bite is tough and me using a slower gear ratio reel means that I’m picking up less line.

It means that my bait is moving slower and my bait is likely looking a lot more natural in the water. So that’s my theory. That’s what I think when it comes to spinning reels I would recommend the five point two to one or like a 6 to 1 gear ratio reel not that fast of a spinning reel I’m, just not into the high gear ratio, spinning reels yet, but that might change in the future and I’ll. Let you guys know if my opinion does change on it, but right now, I’m gonna, stick with these five point, two to 1 gear ratio, spinning reels and then as far as bait casters go I will continue to use 7, 1 and 8 1 to gear ratio reels for for the slower moving baits.

Okay. That was a mouthful anyway. So the durability of this reel, it’s held up just perfectly I, would say for the past two years. It does have some scuffs on it, where I’ve kind of tossed it around quite a bit. I, don’t know if you guys can see that or not, but there’s some scuffs on it. Your reels are gonna, get scuffs on them and there’s especially something right here yeah. So this reel is scuffed up. It’s been used, reels are tools, they’re, not toys, so I treat them like tools.

I do take care of them. How I can but again, I do just toss them around a lot in the boat and stuff like that, when I’m trying to catch fish- and this thing is held up well, haven’t we loaded up or anything like that? I have taken it apart, a couple times just to clean it, but besides that I mean, if you just try to take care of this reel to the best of your ability and the best of my ability isn’t very high. But if you do that, then you’re gonna get good use out of this reel.

It’s gonna last you a long time. This reel remains smooth both of these that I’ve owned for two years now or one for two years and one for like a year and a half. Both of these reels are really smooth. The ball bearings are not corroded at all in either of them and I’m so impressed by that I’ve dumped these things in the water so many times, I take these out wading and in the kayak. Whenever I go do that all the time these things are constantly in the water and I’m surprised they haven’t rusted, yet I always try to put them in a dry place after I get done.

Fishing I think that flooger has made a durable product when it comes to this reel, so they’re really smooth they’re durable and they also cast really well I. Just have a light, little jerk bait on here now and this thing just flies. It really does it’s just a great reel? It really is. It really is haha anyway. So the last thing I want to say, which is a con of the reel, and one of my complaints for Pflueger is I’ve.

Had three flu girls, these two and also another one- that’s called the trowel on which it I think is a lower tiered reel that I can review. If you guys want to see a video on that, then let me know down in the comment section below this is my complaint, the little screw that goes or the little cap that goes on the side opposite to where your real handle is likes to fall off. I’ve had that happen on this particular reel, the other one it’s the cap still on it, thankfully, but then it also happened on that little trial on reel I have as well that’s just something that happens with these Pflueger reels.

I’ve made sure they’re tight, because I knew it was an issue before I even got these reels, but somehow I managed to lose the cap on one of them anyway. I made sure that they were cinched down all the way as tight as I could get them without stripping them or anything like that, and they just fall off. That’s a problem with them, even though that cap is falling off I’ve used this anyway. This is like my live bait rod, so I’m, not too picky about its looks, and everything and I don’t like how I can get dirt in there, because that caps, not there.

Eventually that will just mess up the reel more. But who cares at this point? I’ve had it for two years, I’ve got good use out of it and it continues to work well and I’ll just keep using it until it breaks on me. Today I want to do a gear review of the fluger president. Spinning reel never done a gear review before, but I know a lot of you guys are watching my videos, they’re fishing, the same gear, that I am the same areas that I am- and I know fluger is a popular brand, and this is by far their most popular rod and reel combo gonna, be an excellent way to bring you guys, some new content and some more diverse content.

So, let’s get into it now I like this reel a lot. I like it so much that I actually have two of them. I have the 35 and I have the 25. Now I started out with 25, and eventually I got myself. A 35 35 is about perfect for bass fishing. With this reel. They did something really smart, where they made all of them. Just a five two one gear ratio- nice, slow gear ratio, is good for most people to pull those senkos.

Those live baits things like that. Some good action, this reel looks good too. It’s got the gold bale with some steel blue type powder coating on the outside. Now this is a 10 bearing system very smooth, real action. Nice handle the body is graphite. The handle is aluminum oversized comfort type handle. This will take a 10 pound line at 125 yards it’ll take 14 pounds of braid at 160 yards.

I like this because it’s got the anti-reverse on or off in case. You need to use that this has a 25 3 inch, retrieve rate, which means every single time you reel that handle around it’s gonna pull 25 3 inches of line this reel is just felt perfect for a beginner or a bank angler, but I wouldn’t shy away from it as uh intermediate or advanced now, when you first get the reel, it’s more than likely going to come on a blank like this now fluger is pretty smart, where they offer a lot of different variations.

This one is a six foot, six inch medium action. This looks up the six to twelve pound line. It’s the flue gear president rod. It’s got a nice core candle on it uh it’s kind of thicker me myself. I like a thinner handle, but this comes in so many different variations. All the way up to a seven foot, medium heavy graphite rod with all the different variations, there’s really something to suit.

Almost every angler out there and another thing that I really like is: it’s got the aluminum uh just brushed eyelets, where even some of the saint croises stuff they have the painted or powder coated ones and that wears off, and then it just doesn’t look good. If you pay attention to detail in your stuff, the rod seat isn’t too bad. I think that’s got to be steel or aluminum right there, and then it just kind of seats in to their basic, like that part of the seat is integrated into the handle.

So you just screw the whole handle down like this and you’re ready to go. It’s pretty comfortable handle, like I said it’s nice and thick um. If you like that, I personally prefer a thinner one but um. You know if you like a thicker handle. This is gonna, be great for you. This is uh what I would consider an excellent all-around reel, but also a really good bass reel with the 35 and the 521 gear ratio.

Um. I’ve had 15 pound braid on this, and you know I could still cast it out a mile, really nice rod and reel overall looks good too graphite rod with all the different variations. There’s really something to suit. Fluger’s done really well with these over the years. Um complaints with it, I would say that a lot of times the line can get twisted, especially if you’re throwing one of those weightless senkos uh.

Your lines can get twisted down here through here. You gotta watch it and it always seems to happen at the wrong time when you got that big bass on there. Other than that, I really have no complaints about it. I would put this on a you know: 140 saint croix rod or I would keep the ones they come with they’re, really excellent rods. In the beginning of the season, I caught a lot of big bass on these rods.

I really like this reel. I think that you guys will like it too. If this is your first reel, definitely great if you have some experience with spinning rails and you’re, just looking for a great one. If this is your price point, then I would definitely grab it. It’s worth every penny of the 84 99 that you’ll pay for a combo like this. What’s going on fishing friends, this is Steve with badger outdoors today, I wanted to do a little review on a spinning. Reel I picked up a while back, and that is the Luger president XT spinning reel I also own a the original president reel, which I’ve had for about five years now and it’s been an absolute workhorse.

I’d beat the crud up and caught hundreds of fish on it and it still still performs the way it should I mean it doesn’t perform as good as it did out the box when I bought it, but it’s it still performs pretty flawlessly for the age and the wear on it. So I was looking to maybe upgrade a little bit and I saw the the president has an XT model and when I picked it up and I’ve been pretty happy with it.

It has a few upgrades from the original president reel, which is I. Guess if you can call an update, it’s got the cork handle on it, which I’m not a huge fan of I like the foam a little bit better, but this one’s held up pretty well, it’s not getting grocery thing. I’ve had some of them get real little black and touch them too much and stuff like that, and it also has the carbon fiber real handle on it.

Instead of the aluminum, like the original president, real does it’s a 10 bearing system which is pretty nice pretty high for a spinning reel, so it’s nice and smooth, it has a six two to one ratio, which is about average for Spain trail I mean don’t really need too much more than that. It’s got the reverse on it, which I like it’s a nice feature to have I believe, and it comes in five models. It’s it starts with the the 20 X, which is like an ultra light, spinning wheel and all the way up to a 40 X, which this is a 35.

So there’s one a little bit larger than this, and then it just goes down from there to the 25 X – 30 X, +, 35, X, +, 40 X, so I I mean I thought this was a pretty decent size for for bass. Fishing I didn’t want to go too big. With a the 40 I mean it gets a little a little bit bigger and a little bit more bulkier, so I I could actually maybe went with the 30 but 35. This is the same. I got in my president reel as well and I like the size.

It’s pretty decent. This one actually seems a little bit smaller than the 35 in the president, but I’m not sure I mean it’s got a line. Capacity of 10 pound mono 155 yards or 14 pound braid at 160 yards. So this one retails at $79 99, which is $20 more than the original president and I, know Pflueger, isn’t really a brand that really markets itself too much they’re a old company and they don’t really get out there and promote that much I mean, but they do make a very reliable product.

I believe I know they make some. The patriarch I think it’s the patriotic XT, which is like retails at like 250, or something like that, which is a little crazy. For me, I mean the weekend: bass, fishermen paying 250 for reals a little little much I. Think when you can get by with you know a $60 president reel or I mean if you want to get a little bit more fancy and what you can spend a little bit more I mean 20 bucks, more gets yeah, the president, XT and I think they got a supreme.

Then I goes to Supreme, X T and then the patriarch and patriotic XT, which is 254 the the patriarch XT. They also make baitcaster real, to which I have a few of which I think are pretty nice. Also I’m, still kind of breaking those in and um I haven’t any issues with them. Yet so, but I mean I’ve owned, Pflueger products for four years now and I like him, a lot they’re real, reliable and therefore the price point, they’re they’re, pretty good, buy pretty good deal I.

Have it paired up with kind of sure you went, throwing it on its a 7-foot, medium, heavy Abu, Garcia or Abu Garcia, the vendetta, rod which I like I. Like so far. One of the main reasons I won’t lie that I bought this rod was it matches with the Pflueger reel. It’s got that red and black on it, and the reels also got the red and black with the silver body. So it matches up real well. So that’s one of the main reasons: I did do some research on it and did get decent reviews and I liked it so far.

I use it for a lot of wacky rig and Texas rig type applications, and it’s done a good job but yeah but yeah. It also has that nice color matching color to it. So that’s a plus too, but I just kind of wanted to show you guys and kind of explain a little bit about the flooger president xt reel and so far I’m pretty happy customer with it and I would I would definitely recommend it. Maybe start out with the president first and see how you like that I mean you need to look online.

It’s pretty good reviews on every website. Eagle go on, and this one does too there’s always gonna, be those those people that have have have to find something wrong and everything they got and there’s there’s bad reviews too, but not too many of them to tell you the truth and there’s always gonna be that person. That’s gotta, be gotta, be negative about something you can never make happy, but uh I enjoy it um.

It’s been, it’s been doing a good job. It’s fun catching me fish, which is the main point and it hasn’t gonna be any issues which is also good, so I hope you enjoyed the review and I’ll be coming out with, hopefully some more videos soon. Hello guys fishing for fun 30 through here today, I’m going to be making use of lighting that I. Have you want to take a look? That’s really quick! Look at that got some lamps I think it’ll work pretty well shut, it pretty good, but yeah. So, let’s get start so today, I am going to be giving you guys a review on the P figure. President fishing reel, as you see here, I do own a couple of these I, don’t – and the great great reels.

Hopefully this is a good good review to stage but yeah I think these reels are really actually pretty great reels, especially for what you pay now. These weasels reels are going to retail around $60 00 a standard. Wherever you go, you know Amazon Dick’s, Sporting, warehouse, Cabela’s, Bass, Pro anywhere you go really. These reels are going to run you around $60, 00, so I think it’s a very, very high, valued price.

You know I mean if you run in here, you could buy yourself. You know a rod like this by yourself: Cabela’s tourney, trail item 7 about $70 Rob and that P flooger reel, and then you would be set, not a good value. That’s right! Really what I think these real are value high performance reels, which brings me to my next topic. You know this reel in my opinion, is the best reel under $100, but that’s just my opinion.

So almost get start with the specs. As you see here, they come in quite a few different sizes. They come in the 20 size of 25 size and the 30 size 35, and the 40 now I actually have the 35 and the 40 that’s great, because you need a lot of species of fish with this one $60 reel. So that is great, so um they do have ten ball bearings, that’s very good for $60 reel a lot of reels.

Do not have ten ball bearings, especially nowadays, trying to cut prices, but this real really will have that ten ball bearings! That’s great! Now, um other thing I want to know about these reels. They’re very, very durable I. Have this one right here: I’ve had this reel for almost a year now that’s 40 and no durability issues I mean I’ve, taken it steelhead fishing and you know it’s been in the mud.

It’s you’ve been in the water a little bit just I can’t avoid that as part of steelhead fishing, and it’s still greatly performs. That’s all I’m going to say: I really don’t have anything negative to say about these reels. That’s for this one I’m going to use it for bass. It’s long enough, but and I have not. You know really run into any durability things, but this really put it through its paces.

I think you’re not going to really have much more hardship to go through with the real than that, but um yeah, ten ball bearings very durable I mean that’s really all you need to know. As you see, rubberized handles very great. Another rebel Erised handle p Pflueger, always great reels. Another thing I forgot to mention there one way instant anti reversed. You can back reel, so I mean it’s always great.

Not always there with a $60 reel. You’re gonna have features about 150 to $200 reel in this small bracket package, so anyways guys I definitely suggest you pick up this reel $60 go wherever you like, Cabela’s I, like bells a lot, and you should be happy. Real review, and today we’re gonna be talking about the Pflueger president spinning reel now I’ve owned this reel for a well over two years now so I’m gonna give you a full review on. You know, what’s up with this reel, how it performs, how it’s been over the past two years that I’ve had this reel and just run over the specs one more time with it and then give my honest opinion. So, let’s get to it so this reel retails for about 50 bucks, it’s definitely a fair price for the quality you get out of the reel great beginner reel beginner up to expert.

You know whatever your budget is for reels, but this reel definitely stands above all, the other reels in that price range. No doubt when I initially picked up this reel, I was looking for something smooth, something that wouldn’t break the bank and something I felt. That would last me a good while, when I picked, this up I noticed that the reel was pretty lightweight for being only fifty bucks. It weighs in at eight point eight ounces and I noticed that this reel was buttery, smooth right when I picked it up, and it still is to this day after two years.

This reel is built with an advanced ten bearing system and ensures smooth performance cast after cast. This reel has an encased graphite body and it features a stainless steel and oil felt drag that provides consistent, drag pressure and increased corrosion resistance. It comes with an aluminum bail. It’s got the really soft and grippy knob here, along with the aluminum handle that goes to the body of the reel. Now, when I first got this reel, I was younger and I was.

This was before my bait casting day. I would throw everything on spinning reel, so this reel has taken a lot of abuse from heavy lures I think the heaviest War I threw on this was a three-quarter ounce jig when I had braids on this and a 130 size block were floppers. This reel has caught over 300 fish easily in the past two years, and I am seriously impressed with how this thing performed and still performs to this day. This is the 30 size, I like to use usually six to eight pound line, and it holds about 145 yards of 6 and 130 yards of 8 pound line.

To this day, this reel is still like I said before it’s very smooth, very sleek, looking I took good care of it. The bail is still super smooth on it clicks into place. Cast it out, clicks back down very smooth, real, no wobble on it at all. The only thing I really have to complain about what this real and it’s not even that bad. The drag sort of wore out a little bit on me, obviously I’ve, been using it for well over two years caught plenty of fish on it through lures that I, probably shouldn’t have been on it, and when I used to get lures snagged and I had heavy braids on it.

I would just pull and pull and pull, and you know I’d be peel and drag I’d crank it all the way up and still be peeling, and that really just wore down the gears, and this I’m a Shimano guy and I I got into higher-end reels. At this point, like I, like the strata canned everything and that’s a completely different class from these type of reels, but if you’re, if you’re looking for a good price range reel 50 to 100 dollars, I wouldn’t even spend the extra 50 bucks for $100 reel.

This thing will perform like any $100 reel. Will so, overall, my honest opinion is: you should definitely consider buying this reel if you’re in that price range 50 to 100 dollars, I hope you guys enjoyed and learned a bit from the short review. We are going to do some ice fishing it’ll probably be a week or two, but I’m gonna get those videos off for you guys and so hope you guys enjoy those videos. I’m gonna, stop wasting guys time. Let’s go review. The reel look guys so, as you guys saw, I will be going ice fishing very, very soon, and so I’ll get some ice cream videos out for guys, but till then I’ll be doing a shout outs video.

So if you have not checked that video go check it out now, the shout outs from last video will be in from two sensitive will be in Friday’s video. So if you want to be on that comment on Tuesdays video, and so today’s video I have a very special one, I have never done in these kinds of videos, so I’m hoping it’ll, look right, I, don’t know how they just give me really cringey. Who knows, but I am going to review the Fleur president ultralight.

It is the new 2017 version. New colors and everything, and so uh this is a brand new I just took it out of the box. My brother actually got a first Christmas present, so it’s actually not mine, but I’m gonna make the video anyway, and so the best thing I like about this. It is only 50 dollars. It’s cheap is effective, he’ll catch fish on it, and so it is per 20, is braid 200 yards for four pounds hundred 40 yards for six pounds and 110 yards for eight pounds.

If you want to use mono 220 yards for two pounds, 110 yards for four pounds and 90 is for six pounds, so I usually use two pound tests for trout, then I will use these kind of small ultra light out of pflueger’s for trout. I have eight different kinds so that yeah I have a lot, and so I’ll put my childhood you in right now. Oh yes, first cast right there, nice, trout, oh-ho- that is just nice first Castro, okay, so that was the video of me using one of these reels.

It is a very smooth, real, very effective. Then that was two pound test on for trouble, so you can use this thing. If you want use four pound test for panfish and stuff I mean I, don’t know when you’re done. Can you need four pound test for panfish, but you never know, and so you can all see you six pound test or six pound braid or eight pound braid. If you want to go for some big pass or pike and stuff and still have enough line that you can actually use this thing effectively, this is the new version of it.

The 2017 version I’ll put the old version in right now, alright guys. So that is the old version. This is the new looks a lot better version. It makes it look a lot better, a lot smoother it I, really like it a lot better, and so it has a. What is the thing is 7 5, that’s how much it weighs in its max drag is 8 pounds and each time you turn this thing. One time that is twenty two point, four inches of line going out, and so its gear ratios five to two to one, and it has ten ball bearings in this thing.

So you’re gonna have a lot of a smooth reeling smooth casting the only problem with these things, with all reels is, do not get them sandy. If you get sand in it, I will ruin the reel and so try your hardest. Not to get this thing sandy, and you should have a great a lot of time with this. So if you’re willing to spend $200 and go buy a nice really, you go do that. But if you don’t have $200 and you want still an amazing, very nice, effective reel- you should go with this and if you only want to buy $30 reel, you can do that too.

I mean I, really don’t care to come out whatever you really want. But if you are willing to spend $50- and you want to get a good reel go with this- it is the best for the price most effective reel that you’re ever gonna get for $50. Alright guys! So don’t keep you guys, can smash that like button. For me, it does mean a lot to me so hope you guys loved this video peace out.

Backward you are with another unboxing. This time is the Pflueger president size, 20 I think this is the 2017 model. Yes, you can see comes in hi, I’m Shelly package, there’s something like that. Couldn’t even give me a box, then again it’s 50 bucks, but my dial crossfire at $23 came with a box, so I don’t expect a whole lot out of this. Yet so we’ll see what happens when I open this up, so no I had the older model before this and I am very impressed with that model.

It lasted me about three years, which is not bad for a forty dollar wheel, but this one is a fifty dollar real. So drag sound. Okay, but you know I think it’s good for a fifty dollar over now the bail here pretty good size, it’s two-piece bail, it looks like almost like a die, wasn’t designed. Then this thing here has what six pound dragged. It weighs six point two hours and twenty eight point, two inch per turn.

Gary shows five point two to one line capacity for our braid. It is a 125 at six pound and if you use mono, it’s 200 yards at two pounds, it is brave, ready, plastic, don’t know how long that’s gonna last I saw it to them. You see, I can feel how good this reel is already compared to that last review. I did with their crush lose cross. This is a lot better. Real screwin handle I think this is um pflueger’s bread-and-butter here to make a lot of sales at the user.

That’s a lot of people like them. They had a good price, really impressed with this real here. It’s not you know it’s smooth, I’m, not crazy, smooth but like a refined smooth. Surprisingly, at this price point, that’s a good quality there. So far, I have not found any defects. Yet it’s got a graphite body. Stainless steel drag aluminum handle see what the flexes like that. Oh, yes, flex, there, actually, no there’s no flex.

Barely it’s barely flexed, they’re very good, so far see what’s going on here. No cuts, no scream well I, like it wow I, didn’t think. I was gonna like this, but pretty impressed with this right now. That’s $50 I, don’t see any flaws, I’m, looking really hard and I don’t see any flaws in her. Okay, the handles a bit hard, the little paddle from the door here, not very comfortable, but it feels smooth it’s slippery.

So that’s just nitpicking. It’s gonna pop soon out of the box, I’m gonna give this guy at 8 5. You know for the prices at $50 and because it didn’t come with a box. It came with this clamshell. It’s a half a point deduction there I don’t want nobody got him in line or something impress her just real comfort. A tiny seal do extremely balanced, see how long it’ll turn not very long. It’s smooth, though I really like to live around her, so 8 5 is the score.

I gave it. So let me know what you guys think. Alright, let’s see what this guy’s way. This says: 6 2, ounces after 20, sighs, so see it’s true the size for those of you who don’t live in America. What’s happening, folks, welcome back to the test. Lake tonight is gorgeous man. That’s like what 76 77 degrees, welcome, no wind, it’s beautiful night in Kansas, City and tonight we’re gonna review the president hold on yeah the Pflueger president yeah yeah corny joke. So we got a Mary Kay sea bass, guys the flu, your presidents available in a number of different configurations, I have the baitcasting version, Tom’s getting real yeah a little bit about these Pflueger has been around forever it.

Well. Actually, it says right here on the box since 1881 is how long pflueger’s been around I, don’t know specifically about the president model, but wanted to give you guys some of the stats on at least the baitcasting version here, let’s see, first up gear ratio, seven point three: two one easily the fastest reel that I own at this point, I think my next closest is six point. Six one, let’s see inches per turn. I thought was an interesting stats, 31 inches per turn on the bait caster.

So every turn of the handle results in 31 inches of line coming in yeah I didn’t know that I thought that was really impressive. Max drag. One of you asked about max, drag I, think on the black max video I didn’t know. That was a thing, so it shows how much I know this one is twelve pounds. It says so, for what that’s worth to you max drag is twelve pounds and then they’ve got your line. Capacity and stuff like that. So anyway, a couple of the things: seven bearing system, graphite frame and side plate magnetic braking system and aluminum handles.

So that’s the the president baitcaster. What do you have for stats on the? Nor is there I got five point two to one which is still pretty darn good, at least in my opinion, Tony bearings. Does that say all right? Oh ten, ten Barry Wow all right got that going, so we don’t have any. We don’t have any lures to try out tonight or anything like that. Nothing, nothing, fancy we’re gonna fish with the president and see if we can get anything in the boat with it of Lugar’s.

Depe pflueger’s so initial impressions on the president, I love it. It’s extremely smooth casting very little effort and the thing just sales really really fast retrieve like so we’re pressed for time tonight. So we’re doing I’m doing a lot of power. Fishing I’m, just throwing a crankbait, but yeah. This thing is super impressive. I really really dig it. That’s my real choice. Two years ago my uncle got me turned on to the flooger and honestly ad. Unless something better comes along out.

Think I’m gonna be changing anytime soon, yeah this thing’s super impressive. It’s not a bluegill! That is a bass, then put this on record as the smallest bass ever caught at this scorecard time on the poof lugar category, one price: is it priced well in comparison to other products of similar nature and purpose, so I got mine off of Amazon, because that was really the only place I could find it readily available. I got it for 50, 399 I think that’s actually a pretty reasonable price for a solid bait caster for a smooth, as this thing is, and first quick as the retrieve is yeah I’m.

Actually, gonna go with a 5 out of 5 on the price, so line. There’s a couple different sizes that comes in the smaller ones you get for $49 99, at least at Dick’s, Sporting Goods. The one I got here is a slightly bigger version. I think I got that one for 59 99, so I mean as far as its durability and everything I mean. For me, it’s worth the money as far as compared to other products and similar nature. It’s that’s alright I mean that’s not the perfect score from me on that one.

But I’m gonna go with the four on that. Okay, next up is a function. Did it perform the way that was supposed to perform? So in all of our real reviews, it’s usually been a question of. Can you throw a lure out, and can you retrieve that lure without much issue? Yes, you absolutely can with with the p”f lugar. So so you absolutely can the I don’t really have any issues. The only thing that that I can even remotely think of is. You can hear a little bit of the bearing noise in the bait caster, but it’s not it’s not so bad that you’re you’re worried that’s gonna break or anything like that.

So, but for me, I’m gonna call that excellent, so I’m gonna go with a 5 again: oh yeah I’ll go with the 5 on that one too. It may be slightly noisy, I guess on the the bait caster, but on the spinning reel here. It’s a well oiled machine out here anything out of it. So yeah like I, said: I love this product. It’s a it’s a 5 out of 5. For me, next up is a usability. How easy is the product to use? This is where I I can’t give a perfect score because of a caster is unless you’ve used a bait caster before I mean this one’s a user-friendly bait.

Caster! Don’t get me wrong, you’re not going to get backlash every other caster! Anything like that, but assuming you dial it in correctly, but you do have to dial it in correctly for the way that you cast and that’s it’s a lot to do with preference. But for me, I am gonna, call it above average because the settings are very responsive. So when you turn it all that when you turn the dial up to ten, you can tell that it’s at a ten, but it doesn’t inhibit your ability to cast a distance and that anytime I’m throwing a new real I, always crank it to ten and just see how far I can go with it before I trim it back down a little bit, but I am gonna, go to the floor on it’s usability, because the baitcaster by nature does need to be dialed in usability.

For the spinning is really easy. It’s a it’s I guess account nature of the beast as well in this one, but no I mean for all intensive purposes it’s about as easy as it comes. So all right, next up is durability. Did it hold up during the test? So I mentioned this, that you can hear some of the bearing noise on the baitcaster, but I don’t know if that has as much to do with the reel itself as it did with the settings that I had it on. You know, like I, said: I crank it all the way down any time, I’m throwing a reel that I’m not familiar with so but yeah I mean it’s durability.

It held up just fine I didn’t have any issues with backlash, which really kind of surprised me for a real I’ve never thrown before so. I am gonna, go another five on its durability because it did hold up through the night. I’m sure you know properly, taken care of its gonna hold up for years to come. Definitely five out of five for me on this one here as well short term and long term. It is a great product and I’ve used this in all kinds of weather, I’ve used it even in snow I’ve, taken with the flora to use it in salt water.

As long as you wash it off, I mean this thing will last forever and this one here that I’ve been using this thing. I wear you can see on the camera here, but this is at least five years old and honestly, for all intents and purposes it looks like it’s brand-new, so short term and long term. It is a very durable product, so, like I said for the price of $59 99, it’s a it’s a well worth the investment. Absolutely last but not least, is category five, its effectiveness that it produced the expected result.

So once again, the expected result in any time we do. A real review is to be able to cast and retrieve a lure, maybe catch finish, that’s a bonus, but we did both tonight. So for me, its effectiveness absolutely gets 5 out of 5 I, don’t know that I’ve ever thrown unless, as I hate to say it I. Even my rivo um I, don’t know that I’ve ever thrown a smoother or faster retrieve on real. So, yes, excellent product puff Luger, you guys knocked it out of the park, so this is yeah.

It really is a good one for me for sure Oh easy, five out of five I mean as far as everything goes, like you said, have blown us tonight. Cuz we didn’t catch some fish, they weren’t granted the biggest fast but I’m thinking blame down the real, oh yeah, but no like I, said: I love this product and until like I said something else comes out. That’s better than this I will don’t think I’ll change anytime soon, absolutely so guys. What we do from here is we take our two scores: add them together and take the average of that each of us are able to award as many as 25 possible points for the product that that we’ve tested I’m, giving away 20 Forks tonight.

What about um 24 all right? Well, then, the official KC bass, guys score, is 24 out of 25 on the per Pflueger president, so Pflueger excellent job. This is an excellent reel for sure you may have changed my mind. I may have to add a few more pflueger’s to my to my lineup yeah excellent product, guys. Doesn’t break the bank when you’re trying to find a spinning reel for a drop shot technique or shaky head or any other finesse bait type technique, stay tuned, Shawn, rugged outdoors and today we’re gonna be talking about the Pflueger president xt spinning reel comes in an under 80 bucks, it’s seventy nine, ninety, five retail, which is unbelievable, considering the quality of the reel you’re gonna get so when this spinning reel here a couple of the things that are important about it.

First thing: you notice: is this nice rubber cork handle well what this does is it’s when it gets wet, it’s still, gonna get a little bit of tackiness, so their hands are not gonna slip off the reel a handle. You also get this carbon fiber shaft here which helps with the lightness of the reel. Overall, it has it’s a 10 bearing system which makes it extremely smooth when you’re reeling it in this particular reel that I’m looking at is a size, 30 spool.

It comes in five different sizes, anywhere from a size, 20 school, the smallest all the way up to a size, 40 being the largest. You can see some statistics here that we’ve got that talks about how much line, particularly as it relates to braid that you can use to put on this, because one of the great things about this reel also is that it comes with the braid ready spool. This brain ready, spool is really slick because a lot of times you get reels that you try to put braids on and it slips well.

This has got grooves in here. That makes it pretty easy to tie that braid right on here, and it’s also got these little rubber pieces here that keeps that braid from spinning as you’re trying to spool this up and I highly recommend if you’re using a drop-shot shaky head or some other finesse type technique, don’t use fluorocarbon on your spinning reel really seriously take a look at using braid to do that. As your main line on here, this 30 size spool will take about 160 yards of a 10-pound braid, and then you use a fluorocarbon leader.

One of the big reasons for that is, if you spool this up with just fluorocarbon when you open that bale fluorocarbon is just so limp, it just kind of falls off and you get a mess everywhere. You spend more time screwing with the line than you do actually fishing. The other things about this real. It’s super light. I think this one weighs like seven point: six ounces, or something like that. This particular spool size comes in at a six point, two to one ratio which retrieves about 31 32 inches of line at a time which, again when you’re drop-shotting one of the nice things about that is, if I’m drop shotting and that fish is down there in the in the brush.

I want to be able, try to get him up and out of that brush as soon as he bites as quickly as I can and a faster retrieve rate helps you do that. The other great thing is this: sucker is only 80 bucks, 7995 I’ve looked at reels that are two hundred dollars. Two hundred and thirty and I can’t justify why overall build quality. Last year, I picked up. One a size, 20 spool, use it all year, long very minimal, wear anywhere on the reel, continue to work and continue to function great.

It has a sealed bearing system, so it stays nice and smooth consistently. If you’re looking for a great sprinting reel, that’s not gonna break the bank and do its job definitely take a look at the Pflueger president xt. Hey all welcome to another episode of fishing with Vance calm in one of our review, videos which we are very excited to do there, especially this time of year and possibly any work. Unfortunately, we can’t get a lot of fishing in. So what are we gonna? Do the next best thing we’re gonna talk about fishing and everything that comes along with it. So what we’re gonna do today is we’re gonna go down and we are gonna review the Pflueger president reel and the different series that come along with it, some of the specs.

You know what we like, what we don’t like and then give you an honest review at the end. We really appreciate you guys, watching and taking the time if you guys are familiar with these have experienced. So please make sure they check that out with some direct links for you to these products. So these are the Pflueger president reels that we have going on here. Today we have a few in a different series, I like to call them by the basic numbers we have the 20. We have the 30, we have the 35 and then we also have the 40 believe if I’m not mistaken, there’s an in-between here that we don’t have it’s a 25 series we’ll check on that and if that’s not right, we’ll get you up to date, but these are the basic ones here.

For the flooger president, a tremendous line very popular line, people really love. This I know Vance was the first one to really get us. As a group turned on to this particular real line. He had found these to be recommended whenever he was on a trip down south. He was in a fishing store. Guy said: hey for the bang for your buck. This is a reel that you want to get. He got. One I was a little skeptical. I had never really heard of them. I never used.

One knew the name a little bit and I was about it, but I tell you what now about a year year and half later of using all these different ones in various fishing applications. These reels literally are for real. So, as I said, we got the twenty series, which is basically gonna, be more of your ultra light series. We got this one paired with a st Croix ultra light, very lightweight, very dependable. You can cast literally a country mile with this guy, even though it has a very small bail, good drag system.

All these are gonna, have the front drag system very smooth, retrieve overall and not a lot of issues with them. To be perfectly honest with you, we’ve really really loved these this, for an ultra light setup very hard to beat, in my opinion, very balanced, very lightweight again, can cast ability to fight and really be able to get the job done. The next one, then the 30, hopefully, as you guys have seen in our other videos. We really love these Fenwick rods, 6, foot, 6 and excuse me: 6 foot, 6, inches pair that up with a 30 and then also the 35, which just gives a little bit more beef and a little bit more muscle, really love these I know Vance as a fan of the 30.

This makes a great all-around rod right here paired with this Fenwick. You can do just about anything that you want to do with this largemouth smallmouth and the river. This is a great application for we’ve even done a little bit of cat fishing with this, but overall the balance, the ratio, the retrieval the ability to be able to cast with this again for this particular setup, for especially for a finesse bass, set up really really hard to be. In our opinion, great set up there.

I know we love that we’re gonna continue to use that the 35 is basically just a big brother. Obviously a little bit beefier a little bit more going on. It has a little bit more weight to it. So you’re probably gonna need something in that 6 foot 6 rod to be able to really balance this guy. Accordingly, as you can see, I was a little bit of the bigger bale. It’s gonna be able to hold more line for you, which is great the other real benefit of that, though, with that bigger bail, this thing you can catch the Canada from here I mean no lie.

You put something on there that crank bait right. There doesn’t have a lot of weight to it seriously. I could put that thing in Youngstown right now. If I wanted to very very impressed with that, this has, with the weight again you’re gonna need that six foot- six, maybe even a seven foot- rod to really balance that out with the correct power ratio, that’s something they’re all applications right there, largemouth smallmouth, pan fish, obviously went get into something a little bit bigger, walleye catfish things like that.

You could definitely do that with that. That front drag very easy to access turn that right on a dime. The handles, as you can see- and the grips here are all pretty similar- very easy. Very ergonomically very easy use in hand to hold really love that setup right there. That’s a great Bassett, the next guy I call him the mini tarpon Vance got this I said man look at the size of that thing. It’s like a little ocean liner. He has this paired with his Abu Garcia rod.

That is a six foot, six, a little bit bigger. Obviously this is the big brother to the 35, so you got a little bit more weight. There really balances well with this particular rod, which we’ll go over in another video on Abu Garcia, but a little bit bigger of a bale there. This thing Vance can put that in cast anything and once pretty much put on the moon. I know that he loves us. He can’t talk enough about it. A little bit of a bigger handle going on very smooth overall, with the retrieval we haven’t, had really any issues with these to speak of, can hold a ton of line, whether it’s gonna be mono or whether it’s gonna be floral or braid, which we’ve used all three of those this past summer, and hopefully you guys have seen those in the video but really love this setup here this he gets after it, especially with a little bit bigger fish, catfish and carp.

He loves using this and getting that fight on with those particular big fish. He uses this a lot for fishing with bass and a little bit of bigger applications or what we would call bigger applications. Some of the bigger crank baits, maybe some of the heavier jigs half ounce which to us are big. He really loves that has had some great success. Hopefully you guys have seen that in the videos before he’s a huge fan of this so right here, it’s a really great setup for him.

Balance is really well overall, with that particular setup and I think it would really balance great, even with a 7 foot. Rod as well I really love that setup for bass and a little bit of a bigger fish. So overall, then just a quick recap: what do we really like? Overall, very smooth? You can catch that thing in country mile, not a lot of maintenance. We haven’t really done a lot with these guys maintenance wise this year. They pretty much have taken care of themselves.

They’ve been banged around in the back of the truck you know, thrown into pole holders things like that they’ve got wet on the heat, etc. Probably the last thing that we really like about it and I know a lot of other guys like about it is the price point that the Luger president line has, and it’s probably really known for so again, depending on the series you’re looking at anywhere from about 39 to 59 dollars. So we say forty to sixty dollar range, depending on which one that you’re gonna get for everything that you get with that particular reel at that sixty dollar price point to me, almost impossible would be for what you again.

You talk about bang for your buck, whatever analogy that, you want to use they’re, really really tough to beat I know. A lot of guys will enjoy that you’re not gonna break the bank. These things are gonna last forever for you as well, and you’re gonna get a really high performance out of that, especially for your casual everyday angler things like that, a couple of the things that maybe could be improved or that we saw some opportunities with the handles, do come loose and again, that’s from wear and tear come a little bit more loose than what we would say compared to with.

Like my Shimano strata kiff, you guys hopefully saw that review, but overall for the money that you’re paying again versus that price point for the strata I’m. Ok, with that it wasn’t a constant issue, it wasn’t something we had to fight, but they did come loose a few times on the different series and on the different models throughout the course of the year really other than that. I can’t really find a lot of stuff to nitpick up or say hey. We definitely didn’t like about this particular real series.

Overall, great price point, very fluid very smooth can cast a country model. We had a ton of fun with this summer, so very very hard to be my opinion and if we’re gonna look at our new high life rating scale, which we’re using now here efficient, advanced calm, we’re gonna, read everything out of a possible five highlights: I’m, really hard-pressed not to give it a five to be all perfectly honest with you, but with a little issues with a handle, which again is very my new we’re gonna give it a four point.

Five highlights out of five highlights. You know I, think that’s more than fair, great real again for the price point, a lot of different anglers from various backgrounds- and you know, different applications can use this guy I know we’re gonna keep on using these. We have another three or four that we learn higher rods for yet so I would definitely make sure, especially during the holiday season. Various retailers are running specials on the flu presidents and you can get one.

That’s even gonna be below that. Sixty dollar price point you’re getting yourself a heck of a deal, so that’s our flooger president review. Hopefully you guys have found this. You know helpful informational and that you’re gonna be able to use this. Right welcome to another episode of my show in town, just wanna. Let you guys know that I recently purchased this lugar spinning reel it’s a president X T! This is the model SP 20, so it’s the smallest version of the president I believe it’s real. Why do I buy this one? Well, I wanted to use this one to fish for smaller, smaller fish, such as a bluegill crappie, even travel sometime I.

Take this will to go on a stream fishing and so it’ll be a lot easier and a lot lighter features for the reel. Okay, here is a picture of the real, the color as well. It has a second bearing system as a luminaire main shaft. It’s bright, ready school, so that mean I could just put a braided line on this. It has a steel, drag a carbon handle and rubber cord, and here are some of the additional features of it.

So this wheel, because of the smaller size of it, it’s able to handle a six pound, drive the weight of the reel it’s about 5 6 pounds. So it’s very light. The turn is about twenty point. Seven inches per turn. Get ratio is five point two to one. If you look at the mind capacity here, braiding capacity, if I put up my power capacity on a braid I could get about 180 yards on it, but maybe I think I’m gonna put a monel line on this reel, so I will be getting about a hundred yard on this reel, but the mono light so just take a look inside of it.

Okay here nicely packaged here. This is the so here is explore, let’s full view of the Real Talk, the nesting of other parts. So this is the list of the different parts right here: okay and this paper talks about filling spools with the lines and setting the drags yeah sort of stuff, and yes, the to Packers. This is the handle.

The rubber core is quite big, looks feels very nice. This looks like a carbon fiber, but I think it’s aluminum, alloy, okay, so there’s still real I love the color in this red and black and silver see this. You can listen to the sound of the jack system. That’s nice, okay, so smooth, there’s very light as well, so there’s a hyper handle on if you used to the Shimano and da and all of our other wheel.

Normally this will come off as well, but for the looper does not stays it’s not right here to stay put, so all you have to do it just put it in your handle and crank it. The way you will train your reel. Okay, just turn it counterclockwise and when you get it a little snug make sure you don’t tighten it too tight. If you do that, it’s gonna, it might be too tight, and it might not be that smooth.

Okay, now I haven’t my tools now, I might just pull it back a little bit. That’s better! Okay, the handle looks way bigger and taller than the rail Hey. That looks incredible. Looks great I like it so, like I, said, I’m going to put a four pound mono lines on this I usually use a preferred P lines. I’m gonna pair this with my lose American Hero, stick I think the color will match it perfectly and I’m gonna use this to you know fish for travel, pretty much blue gills, probably maybe even bass.

Who knows you never know. I know, I call a lot of pass with this small size reel I had before you know. As long as the fish bite, I’m gonna put it to good use. I will let you know more updates on this. Who sounds nice but yep. This is the real okay. Spinning reel, but you’re not exactly sure which one to get well. Today we have five flooger spinning reels here that we are going to discuss, and this should help you decide which one you should get hey guys how’s it going. This is alex with fishing MN, and today we have a video discussing five different pflueger’s spinning reels here today. We’re going to discuss from the low end to I would consider it a bit be about mid end of fishing reels here. Kind of discuss. Each characteristic of each reel will start to see kind of an increase in quality, as we go through the reels here and will kind of help, pin point you in the right direction to what really you should go for for your next fishing reel today, alright guys so the first real that we have here.

This is the Pflueger Tryon real. Now this is actually size, 24 Pflugerville, so it’s actually a little smaller I actually use this quite often for my ice fishing rigs. But to go over this real here, we’re actually going to discuss the characteristics of the size 30 reel, which is probably the most common size per se of spinning reels, and so the 20 would obviously be used for smaller poles or ice fishing. But in this case we’ll be going over these reels discussing the size, 30 characteristics, but the size 30 reel.

The Tryon is gonna, offer a nice seven ball bearing real system. It’s gonna have a gear ratio of 5 2 on one and it’s gonna be kind of your lower end fishing reel. Now. The size 30 here weighs in at ten point four ounces. So it’s it’s the heaviest reel out of the bunch that we’re gonna go over here today. But what this does offer is a graphite body and rotor, as well as an aluminum spool and as well as a stainless steel, an oil felt tray, which is probably the only one out of the bunch that has that.

For the most part, these reels can be found for about thirty to forty dollars, depending on the size that you get and realistically, where I would point a person into the direction of getting the Tryon is, if you say, for example, you’re starting to fish any by a rod and reel combo, so it might be a cheaper run, reel combo, maybe say forty or fifty dollars but say that reel happens to break on you and you don’t want to spend a lot of money on replacing the reel yeah. But you want something of your quality.

The Tryon is probably perfect for that scenario, so the persons that want to basically replace the reel that they have on their cheaper combos or if they are just kind of moderate fisherman, so they might go every once in a while to fish. That’s where this real really come into play I feel that overall, the build quality of this reel is good as well as it’s taken care of. You should get quite a few years out of this reel. Let’s go on to the next one here and we’ll this. Thus, the upgraded features that the next reel offers alright guys.

So this is the Pflueger president real it’s actually a lot bigger than the real I had before I think it’s either at 30 or 35. But for this real here this is going to be kind of the next step up from the Triad real, where this is really going to add. Some benefits is that it’s going to be lighter and it’s going to have more ball bearings as well as a couple additional features. So this particular president real offers a ten ball bearing system and the size. 30 real comes in at eight point three ounces, which is a little bit more than two ounces lighter than the Triad real.

So it’s a lighter real in general, but this also offers a graphite body and rotor. What’s really cool about this one, and this is where this kind of starts singles up with the other reels, but it actually offers a braid ready, spool, and so you can actually tie braids right to the school itself, which is very convenient, especially nowadays, where a lot of people are getting a wave from a monofilament and going to braid or a fluorocarbon. So that’s a really cool feature. This also has a seal Drake system.

So it’s a little bit different than the Drake system on the trial reel. But overall it is, it is a pretty good reel. This has a gear ratio of 5 2 out of one as well, and it also is kind of in that lower end range for fishermen. Now these reels can be found at about fifty to sixty bucks, obviously depending on where you get them and what size, but where I would suggest this reel to go to if you’re in the market. For is say, you want a simple upgrade to a basic grill that you have on your rider go combo.

This would be the first reel to look at. This is a very, very, very common rail with the flooger wheels. I would actually say it’s probably the most sold real, because it is very easy to find- and it’s really not that much when comparing the reels so I would say, if you’re in the market, to do a simple upgrade for your reel. This would be in the first place, to start alright guys so this next reel here. This is kind of where we start getting into the subtle upgrades as we go up. This is actually a femur president xt reel.

So this is actually the step above yet the normal president reel and what you’re gonna have that’s very similar to the president. Reel is you’re also going to have a nice ten ball, bearing system as well as you’re, going to have the braid ready spool. But what this will also have here. That is a little different is it does have an aluminum main shaft and aluminum pinion gear in this reel as well. This reel at a size, thirty is going to be weighing at 7 6 ounces. So it’s not quite an ounce lighter than the president reel, but pretty significant over this really care does offer a faster gear ratio with realing.

This is now a six point. Two out of one, so every reader would go over, will have that gear ratio as of now, but this reel can be found, give or take for around seventy to eighty dollars, so you’re going to be paying about $20 more than the basic president reel as well as the knob on this one is a different one. It’s kind of got a little bit of a corpse feel to it as well as the shaft. Here is different too, and that’s probably what makes it a little bit lighter, but really where I would suggest this reel to go to if you’re in the market is simply, if you’re going to start to make or basically buy your own rod and your own rails to separate a lot of people will do that, so that they can kind of pinpoint how they want their stuff, but usually when people do that they usually are not going to cheap out on things, and this is where I would start if you’re gonna be buying things separate, because for eighty dollars you’re going to get a heck of a real.

This is a fantastic reel for $80. So that’s who I would suggest is when you’re starting to get into building your own rod reel combos separately, alright guys so now we’re going to get into the next model up. This is the Pflueger supreme reel this reel. Naturally, to me just looks awesome. The gold and the silver just kind of blend very well with this reel but again you’re gonna, have the same features as the two before, with the the braid ready, spool and you’re gonna see the same feature as the one before it with the 6 2 out of 1 gear ratio for real, but what the sign is 30 reel.

This will come in at a weight of seven point: five ounces. So it’s really not that much different in weight when comparing it to the president xt model. Now this is going to downgrade to nine ball bearings. So this is gonna, have a nine ball bearing system, but this is where we’re gonna start seeing corrosion resistant, stainless ball bearings as well as a magnesium body and rotor, and so that’s going to offer a little bit of a lighter system. Pflueger will use the term feather light, but it’s gonna be a letter and quality-wise.

It’s gonna be a little bit better than what you had with the president models again Bray Grady spool. This also has an aluminum handle. So this is a little bit different than the president xt model as well as they went back to its kind of normal rubber type. You know holder there, but overall these reels here can probably be found for about 90 to 100 dollars, so you’re gonna start getting into the triple digit price range when it comes to these reels, but you’re gonna really notice the quality difference when you get to this high range.

So with this type of reel here, where I would really suggest this reel tube is basically again to those people who are gonna, build their own rod and reel combos, but basically just better than an XT model in general, it’s going to be lighter and I feel that this is going to last. You a lot longer, alright guys. So this brings us down to our last model here. This is the supreme XT model. This in general is a pretty cool-looking reel. It’s got that orange spool to it here and it’s you might not pick it up in the camera 12, but it’s kind of a really really dark blue body to it pretty neat-looking reel.

But this again is gonna. Have some subtle upgrades from the supreme that we saw before so the size 30 version of this reel is going to come in at 7 point 1 ounces, sort of shaving about 0 4 ounces off of the previous reeled model, as well as we’re also going to increase the ball bearings to 10 on this reel. So you’re going to have your 10 ball bearings in this room from there. You also have the corrosion resistant stainless steel ball, bearings its feather-light design, as they college as well as you have the brain radial, and this also has a sealed carbon drag and a nice carbon handle which, according to Pflueger, is 21% lighter than aluminum.

So you do shave a little bit of weight that way. This reel, in my opinion, is probably right in that mid range of reels. This reel is really going to be dedicated towards those who are going to be fishing on a weekly basis, because this is going to be handled. The more weekly phase type fishing- it’s going to be able to last longer, as well as just in general, be a better reel for you in the long run, but these rails here can be found for about 140 to 150 dollars, and so these are definitely not on the cheap side of things, and so, if you, in my opinion, if you’re not an avid fisherman, this is overkill for you.

This is definitely for ones that are going to be fishing more on a consistent basis and be able to handle a reel in the long run. So if you are one that kind of puts maintenance of rails to the side, this is probably not for you. This is very nice reel to start if you are really trying to get into that mid to high end stuff. There is a few that are in between these models that definitely don’t leave out when you’re trying to search for a model. I simply don’t have them or and I don’t own them, but I can tell you this. These 5 models here can usually be found at just about any type of sporting goods store. That is just you know, a specific towards fishing. So around my area, you might be able to find most of these at like a Scheels, a Cabela’s, maybe in other areas like a bass pro shops you’ll be able to find these models throughout those stores.
