Penn Battle III 3000 Spinning Fishing Reel Fishing Reel
Arm yourself for the most punishing saltwater battles with the Penn Battle II Spinning Fishing Reel. Crafted from durable materials and packed with fish-fighting features, this saltwater reel is engineered to catch fish year after year. From the full metal body, sideplate, and rotor to the five sealed stainless steel ball bearings, each component is designed to help you land your catch. The reel’s HT-100 Versa-Drag carbon fiber drag system leverages both sides of each drag washer to provide maximum drag, and its instant anti-reverse bearing eliminates pullback so you reel without interruption. Additionally, the drag washers are treated with a proprietary grease to ensure long-lasting performance. Suitable for use with Berkley or Spiderwire Superline, the spool is fitted with a rubber gasket that prevents the Superline from slipping under pressure–meaning anglers can use braided line without a monofilament backing. And thanks to its line capacity rings, the spool displays at a glance how much line is remaining.

Talk to you about an exciting new spinning reel, not not exactly new, but a relaunch of the battle too. So the original battle came out quite a few years ago, and we’ve now made some improvements. The relevant talk to you about, but let’s start with the sizes, so we’ve got a 1 000, a 2 000, a new size of 2 500, a 3 000, a 4 000, a 5 000, 6 000 and our biggest size, the 8 000. So one thousand eight thousand so think light light, light, inshore or really even light freshwater.
All the way up to a near shore off shore think sailfish think dolphin that type of stuff. So let’s talk a little bit about the real first of all on the sizing with the new 2500. The reel is on the mm size body. It also. It has a new rotor, so a bigger rotor and a bigger spool. So it filled a gap that we have between the two thousand three thousand size, so think. Really technical lightweight, graphite rods, think 10 15 pound braid. There was a little bit of a gap in our spinning reel line up for that technical, inshore guy and we’ve now filled it with a 2500 size, really light weight balances out really nice loans on a nice graphite, 7 foot rod in addition to the new size.
Let’s talk a little bit about the features that set this new battle apart, so we’ve added line capacity range to the spool. That’s something you’ve seen on all pen reels for the past few years, so it kind of helps the angler understand well how much line they have left on the reel, especially when fishing from a dead boat, big fish. How much line do I have left? Do we need to go? Can we stay that type of conversation? You have a better idea how much line you have left on the reel because of the line capacity rings.
Another thing we did is we keyed the drag washers into the spool, so by keying the drag washers into the spool and I’m talking about HT 100 right washers. We’re now able to use both sides of the drag washer and I should mention that all penn drag systems now are greased. On the spinning reels, we use our penn blue lube, which I’m sure you’re familiar with it’s inside all our rails. We also greased our HT 100 with that and for our spinning reel drags back to the the keen of the drag washers.
What that does by by using both sides of the drag washer we’re now able to get about 20% more aggghhhhh than the previous battle, not that a lot of people max out the drug. But it’s always nice to know you have it if you have to stop a Phish heading for cover or that’s about to spool you. Another big upgrade in my mind is that we’re going to sealed bearings in the battle. So in the past, we’ve use stainless steel, shielded ball bearings that shield protects the race from basically saltwater intrusion, but the sealed ball bearings have an added layer of protection.
I mean it’s actually a tight system. That’s that prevents saltwater from getting into the bearing the number one reason reals come back to the repair shop is because salt were got into a bearing it, dried out it crystallized and now the bearing sounds rough and the reel feels rough by having a seal bearing we’re able to avoid that situation a little longer than if we were using shielded bearings. It’s not a hundred percent sure, but the bearings are sealed from the manufacturer.
So so that’s where that’s where we are we’re sticking around the same same retail, so basically ninety nine to 129 on the biggest size. The battle battle reel will be available at your retailer. This fall fall, 2014 check them out.
Hey guys josh over j h. This is the pen battle. 3 3000 spinning reel brand new from penn supposed to be an icast introduction, of course, no icast because of covid, but doesn’t mean that this isn’t the best bang for your buck, 3 000 all metal reel. It really is they’ve, taken the spin fisher slammer architecture and applied it to this drill, it’s very very similar to a spin fisher uh, except without all the seals. So seals in this is really just the drag, is sealed and and then it’s got six seals stainless steel ball, bearings other than that no seals.
So if you’re looking for seals, upgrade get yourself a spin fisher, they are awesome. But if you’re looking for real, that’s 125 bucks and has most of the features, this is definitely it again. All metal construction really really feels nice due to those cnc gears. It’s got a brass, pinion and aluminum main gear, and just when you do the cnc gearing it’s just so much more precise, it feels so much more rigid, less flex to it, and it’s just going to give you smooth performance and you’re going to have a lot of fun on the water weighs in at 11 6 ounces and puts out 15 pounds of drag with that ht 100 drag system holds 205 yards of 15 pound test braid, with a 6 2 to 1 gear ratio.
You can switch the handle from left to right and it’s just a nice looking reel. It just looks really really good. It’s going to perform really good and I think you’re going to have a lot of fun with it. It really feels so much better than the previous generation nice aluminum handle. The knob here is rubberized feels really good in your hand, if you get wet or you get, you know guts on there, whatever you’re still going to be able to turn the handle, feels really nice and it’s just a a really well done reel from pen we’re going to sell a ton of these they’re going to be very, very popular and you’re, going to get a lot of happy anglers.
Getting the the pen battle 3 so check it out. Pen battle, 3, 3000, spinning rail, you can get yours at jh com or on the jna chap you.
[Applause], [Applause], hey everybody! Welcome to another edition of angler video uh we’re gonna profile. Today, the new brand new just came in yesterday, penn battle, 3, spinning rail. Pretty excited about these reels, some pretty nice additions to the pen lineup little advancement over last year’s model. The previous battle, two um big deal is going to be new cnc gear, not new to pen. They’ve got in some of the higher end models, so it’s making its way into these more price point based models which is really nice.
It’s a nice feature. A couple of other nice features that they have round rubber gripped handles on some of the larger sizes. So it’s better in your hands absolutely gives you better grip, especially when your hands are wet early morning late afternoon um, you know, like miss rainy days. Um 1000 through 5000 reels, are going to have the aluminum machine, the cnc gear main gear, and then the 6 through 10 000, which is a new size for them, is going to have the brass cnc gear and that 10 000 is a pretty good, pretty beast.
This would be great for offshore applications if you’re looking to jig for tuna um, big giant 15-foot surf rod if you’re fishing down on the outer banks get some good distance on this load, it up with some decent size, braid 40 pound max drag. Oh my gosh, so you’re talking big behemoth fish with this guy um other favorites that we would have would be cobia in the lower part of the bank yeah five. Six thousand. We even have the 6 000 on a combo um loaded up with some 50 pound brake.
This is totally ready for kobe yeah, a little redesign on the battle three rods: nice new, much more comfortable, real seat, you’re feeling the blank through that skeleton frame, which is really really nice, very, very lightweight because of the aluminum main gear. In these reels they are a little bit lighter than the previous models, which is nice. So it’s a little easier on the elbow they do feel smoother. They still have six bearings in them.
Stainless steel sealed bearings just like the previous models, so they’re going to be nice and smooth retrieval and it’ll be durable to hold up. So I think the big news with these is the high speed versions, so they’ve got three high-speed versions in stock. Four thousand six thousand and eight thousand much faster gear ratios on these. To give you an example on the 4 000 size battle, we’re talking, 37 inches per turn of line retrieval on the high speed, 4 thousand 47 inches.
Oh, my big difference. Um really ripping those lures through the water with less crank right help saves on the arm. Um so definitely want to check these reels out. Uh we’ve got a good number in stock, but they’re going to go fast because these things are great. They really are. I’m really excited about them. I mean brand new stuff uh every year, but they really outdid themselves with that for the price point they did and they I think they still wanted.
104 99 all the way up to 150 154 99 for the larger size yeah. So it’s uh really you’re getting a lot for your money. On that absolutely absolutely like you said we got everything for like little perch fishing. All the way to you know your favorite rockfish styles, with the 2500 3000 sizes. I mean can’t ask for a better. You know reel for the price point there. Abs absolutely absolutely well be sure to stop by and check them out, give them a spin and uh.
Let’s help you pick out the next ones to fit on your boat or or your tackle box. Good luck out. There guys have fun.
Another episode of quick review wednesday today we’re going to be talking about one of my favorite reels that I’ve ever purchased uh is my very first inshore reel and it is the pen battle, 3 3000, let’s get into it all right, boys and girls. After getting my very first false albacore tuna, I decided it was time to invest in my very first saltwater setup. This is an inshore setup and uh. I got the pen battle, 3 3000 and we’re pairing it up with this here triumph.
It is a seven foot, medium fast action. This thing these two paired up together. Let me tell you something: it’s fierce folks, fierce, let’s get into the reel, because that’s we’re here to talk about today. Now we gotta make this short and sweet because uh I am literally about to leave, to go down to lake powell, meet the guys from gary yamamoto and do a bunch of cool stuff over the next five days and we’re gonna finish at lake mead in nevada right outside of las vegas.
So we got a bunch of rods already packed up, and this is the last one that needs to be packed and I’ve been waiting to do it, because I wanted to do this review. This is the last video I have to edit and get together before I finish packing we’re leaving tomorrow morning, super super early, so really we’re leaving tonight we’re staying at a friend’s house close to the airport and then we’re jetting super early in the morning. Let’s talk about this incredible reel before we get into it, I’m going to tell you a quick story now.
I know this reel right here is not sealed, meaning you probably shouldn’t just completely douse it in salt water, but the other day I was on my boat that I worked at out in newport I caught a striper on my other rod and my buddy went to grab the net knocked this clean out of the rod holder and it went down to the bottom of the ocean. I actually thought she was a goner. I thought we would never see her again, which stinks, because I’m absolutely in love with this setup.
So I took my other rod and I tied an eight-ounce weight where I put my hook and then right above that I tied up a treble hook and uh. It wasn’t working I’d cast at the thing, a ton of times the captain grabbed this like long pole thing and we tried to get it, we couldn’t get it at all. It was just not looking good. I had one more idea in my brain right above the treble hook, I tied another weight, so I went eight ounce weight treble hook. Eight ounce weight I took one more cast, took a couple cranks and felt this baby hook into it.
I lost my freaking marbles, like pretty sure. Matt was even happier because he was freaking devastated, that he dropped this thing down to the bottom of the ocean and uh. When it came up, we were pumped, I rinsed it with fresh water, and then I took about a hundred casts until we actually left on the next trip. The reason why I kept casting is because it was completely covered in water like it was soaked and in order to get it to drain, you want to cast and reel and cast some reel.
The casting really doesn’t do anything, it’s the reeling that helps it drain. The spinning shoots all the water out of it, and I have not had a single issue since we’ve caught a bunch of stripers on it. Since this thing is a freaking powerhouse 15 pound drag on this thing is amazing: it is perfect for fighting stripers and albies and blues and literally anything in the ocean around us, except for maybe sharks or something. I am absolutely in love with this reel.
It has cnc gears, it’s a cnc gear system, meaning the gears were forged out of one block of steel. It’s a solid system, if you know what I mean, and that makes it super freaking smooth like reeling. This thing is so smooth. I actually had another reel in my hand when I went to pick this one up and this one like I. It just felt that much better without any line on it. Without anything, I was just like keep it putting it in my hand, reeling seeing what it felt like.
That’s why I ended up purchasing this. It’s also only 11 6 ounces. So it’s pretty light for an all metal reel. This everything everything here is solid metal. There’s, no plastic, anything! It’s all metal, the only like plasticky part at all. Is this handle it’s like smooth kind of plastic. I’m just broke the rod. This part here like I said this is not sealed, so this is only 125 dollar reel. If you want a sealed reel, that’s pretty much the same thing and does almost the exact same stuff, you’re gonna have to upgrade to the spin fisher, okay and by pen.
If, if you want to stick with pen, you’re gonna have to upgrade to the spin fisher so you’re talking about you, know a lot more expensive. Like I said earlier, the ht-100 drag system is freaking flawless, as you guys can see right here. This thing’s flying it just sounds beautiful. With these albies just ripping drag I’m in love. If you can’t tell I’m in love absolutely in love for a beginner saltwater fisherman who doesn’t like to buy cheap because I actually want my stuff to last- I I couldn’t ask for a better purchase.
Couldn’t ask for a better purchase this one, like best in show, I believe at this year’s I cast, even though they didn’t have an icast this real. This is. This was like one of the top dogs at icast that wasn’t outcast for braid. It holds 250 yards of 15 pound test, braid 180 yards at 20, pound test parade and 130 yards at 30 pound test braid for mono. You get 200 yards at eight pound test, 165 yards a 10 pound test and 120 yards at 12 pound test.
This reel holds a ton off line. That’s why you know it’s a three thousand. If you need to hold more line, you’re going to want to upgrade to the four thousand, if you want less line, you can go down to the 2000 they’re, all roughly in the same price range. This thing cranks in 35, inches of line per turn, it’s sick! It’s a 6 2 1 gear ratio, so it’s fast, but it’s not extremely fast. It is absolutely perfect for throwing this some. This yozuri spook pencil there hydro pencil, works beautifully for that.
It’s okay jesus. We were using this on the last saltwater video and it was flawless. That’s like one of the reasons why I got this setup too, was to throw stuff like this for stripers, because I absolutely love top water striper pits. I like topwater hits period. I don’t care if it’s striper or largemouth or smallmouth. You know me, so it’s got five plus one. So that’s six stainless steel, bearings and those bearings are sealed. Bearing case is sealed, the drag system is sealed.
So those are the only two things sealed on here now, if you’re looking for real for inshore and you’re, not looking to break the bank and get something that’s like 400 bucks, plus I’m telling you right now, this pen battle, 3 3000, is the best bang for your buck out there, this thing’s gonna last it freaking works like a charm and it’s not ridiculously expensive, because I know that that saltwater gear can get really really really expensive. This thing is a freaking champion, and that’s it guys I got to get out of here.
I have a ton of packing to do and I don’t have much time we’re going to be leaving here shortly, so I got to edit this get it up on youtube after exporting and importing and exporting and all that fine stuff, and I got to create the thumbnail all that we got to get this done. So I’m going to be doing that right now, guys. Do me a favor if you like what you saw today hit that subscribe button. If you have ideas for me things, you want to see me review on the channel quick review wednesday.

Please subscribe hit the like button hit the bell, so you can be notified when we’re dropping all these banging videos folks banging videos, no, but seriously um. We got a ton of good stuff coming out. I don’t even know what’s about to happen down in arizona, but I have a great feeling about the videos that we’re going to be able to crank out when we get back.
I’m super excited- and I already edited all the videos leading up to it, as you guys have seen I’m actually getting back today when this video is posting so starting next monday, these arizona videos are going to start cranking out and you guys are going to want to be notified when we do so so thanks for tuning in guys bishop in the jump for the on top. When I speak all cap with the speech today, caught up in the rapture, I’m still out of line with the phrase just running through the fields.
All right, so, what’s going on guys, welcome back here to another video in today’s video, I got something different for you guys. I want to go ahead and do a review of the new pen battle 3. So let’s go ahead and get right into it and um I’m going to go ahead and unbox this and show you guys what it’s all about. Let’s go all right guys so right off the bat here, you guys could see, probably that the packaging has not changed at all pretty much same packaging that came in the older wheels um.
Let’s go ahead and take off the wrapper here and try to take a closer look at it. So you guys could see more of the details here as we um take off the the packaging here, we’ll notice the color is pretty much the same as the other reels and literally the morphe they’re curious to see what that was. One thing to note is that this is a full metal body reel um very strong, very durable pen always makes some awesome incredible gear.
I’ve been using pen for quite a long time and I’m very satisfied with their products um. Taking a look at the um real foot. There you can notice. It’s got a weird curvature, something a little bit different that I noticed. I don’t know if it’s going to be a little bit better to grab or something like that, but um we’ll see as we try this reel later on very smooth, very smooth reel.
As you could see, one thing I did notice a difference is the actual spool there. It’s got a different design compared to the older models. This reel does feature the cnc gears technology, which is something that pen um includes in their reels and um. It’s um also includes some carbon drag washers, making it a very strong and durable drag system.
As you can see, a very strong and well put together reel here, um, nothing less to expect from pen fishing. They make some incredible products. I’ve been using their wheels for quite a few years now and um they perform incredibly. I use them both in salt, water and fresh water, and I have nothing but good things to say about them.
So yeah we’re gonna, go ahead and put this reel to the test, and hopefully we could land some nice fish on it all right guys. So I hope you guys enjoyed that quick little video of the new pen battle 3. This is definitely an awesome reel at a great price point super affordable and they hold up super awesome to the salt water.
I’ve had um pen battles for a while. Now I’ve been running them both in freshwater and saltwater, and they hold up great, absolutely love them. So hope you guys enjoyed that little video and um saw the differences that this reel has against its older model. If you guys have any questions, make sure to leave it down in the comments below make sure to hit a thumbs up and I’ll see you guys on the next video.

Hi I’m Ben Joyce Penn brand manager here today to talk to you about an exciting new launch for us, the pursuit 3, the pursuit 3 is the third generation in the pursuit line and we’ve added some extra features to it to make it the best value in the pen lineup. Before we take a look at all the new features. Let’s take a look at the sizes that we offer we’ve added a new 25-hundred size and we’ve kept the remaining sizes from our prior generation, which was a 3 000 4 000, 5, 000, 6, 000 and 8 000.
Overall, we’ve kept a lot of the same features from the previous generation. We have a corrosion resistant, graphite body and rotor with a metal side plate to ensure the gears stay in precise alignment. We have a four plus one bearing system. We have two bearings on the main gear: two bearings on the pinion gear. We have a double anodized spool, with line capacity rings and some of the exciting new features we have are the HT 100 carbon fiber drag washers, as well as the super line.
Gasparian we’re up back here in the backcountry catching a few sharks on the new Pursuit three, we upgraded the drag material into HT 100, so Penn’s lowest price, spinning reel and now comes equipped with HD 100 drag and it’s perfect for catching big sharks. The HT 100 carbon drag washers are a big upgrade from the oiled felt that we used in the past. We get asked a lot. What HT 100 stands for the HT stands for high tech and the 100 means that a hundred miles of line can be run off without showing anywhere on these drag washers.
The super line gasket. What this gasket allows you to do is tie braid directly onto the Arbor of the spool, so that you don’t have lines slipping on there. We also offer all of these size reels in combos. One of the main additions that we’ve added is our Pender guides. These are a one-piece stainless steel guide, so you no longer have to worry about inserts popping out. We also added as a compliment to our 2500, reel a 2500 combo. So now in the pursuit, 3 lineup, you have a combo for everything.
From freshwater pond fishing to surf fishing so that wraps up the pursuit, three line, look for them fall 2018 at your local retailer.
Hi I’m Mike rise, pin, brand manager and I want to talk to you about a new spinner row. We have coming out fall 2013. This is the pursuit -. So the pursuit – is, is what what I would consider our our lower pricepoint spinning, real, still still very high quality, spinning real. This is the second version of the pursuit. We’ve made some improvements over the first generation. So what we have here is a graphite body, a metal side plate and a graphite rotor.
We also have added the line capacity rings onto the spool. We have a thick bail wire, so something you’ll see on all pen. Spinning reels going forward is the thick bail wire. Now we’ve upgraded the handle knobs you can see on this. This is a 6000 size. Here we have what we call our football mini. We do a paddle knob on the three and four thousand. Then we do the football mini on the five and six and then we go up to the football jr on the biggest 8000 size.
So you can see here the the full range of sizes as we do it, 3000 4000. They both have to paddle knob. We did the 5 and the 6, they both have to the football mini, and then we do the big 8000, which has the what we call the football jr on it. So a big power knob there, the reels get between 10 and 25 pounds of drag so 25 pounds on the big pursuit, 8000 10 pounds on the smaller 3 000. It is an oiled felt, drag system old, felt racks have have been used in spinning reels for a long time and our proven drag material 4+1 bearings, so they have an incident in reverse, bearing they also have four stainless steel.
Shielded ball bearings, so they have two on the main gear and two on the pinion gear. There’s a bushing and the line roller line roller bearings typically go bad. We try to put bare bushings in our line rollers. So this is the pursuit to available fall. 2013 retails are $40 on the three and four $50 on the five and six and then $60 on the big 8 000 size, I’m, Mike rice- and this is the pursuit to you.
All right welcome everybody. Today, I’m going to be doing a comparison between two budget, uh friendly reels, I’m going to be putting them right down here on the table, uh doing a side by side comparison between the two uh going over the pros and cons of each one and uh I do have, and I’ve had these two reels for over a year now, uh I’ve used them frequently in salt water. I know they’re both good reels all right, so let’s go ahead and take a look at them.
Here we go the kastking, crixus 3000, spinning reel and the pin pursuit 3 3000. Now, let’s take a look at these two reels sitting here: side by side. Both of these reels are lightweight and are graphite reels, but the casting is a little lighter than the pen. So for me, that’s going to get a green check mark there. The crixus 3000 has a weight of 9 1 ounces and the pen pursuit three weighs in at eleven point: eight ounces.
So it’s a little heavier, so I’m gonna go with the crixus on this round. Next we have the gear ratio of the crixus 3000 and it’s a five two to one gear ratio. While the pen pursuit three is a six two to one ratio, so you’re gonna be bringing in those fish a little faster with this pin spinning reel. So I’m gonna give pen pursuit three this category. All right next up is the ball bearings.
The pen pursuit 3 has a 4 plus 1 stainless steel bearing system, but the casting has a 5 1 double shielded: stainless steel ball bearings! That’s right! Six and I can’t stress enough if you’re fishing, salt water, you definitely you know, want those double shielded ball bearings, because that salt can work its way into every nook and cranny of your reels and that’s why it’s always good to rinse your reels with fresh water after returning from a day out on the water all right, I know each one of these reels has carbon fiber washers.
But let’s just take a look inside and see what’s going on in here: okay they’re, both aluminum spools and, as you can see right here on the pen, pursuit three uh, you don’t have any um. You know the the ball bearings there, but you do on the crixus. A big surprise was the uh. The crixus actually has three carbon fiber discs compared to the two on the pin pursuit three but uh. I should you know expect that, because the cryxis does have up to 17 and a half pounds of drag compared to the pen pursuit 3, which is only 12 pounds of drag so uh there you go, I mean uh.
The uh qixis definitely wins this round. Both these reels do have an aluminum spool, but, as you can see on the pen, it’s braid ready and I definitely like that as far as the qriksis you’re going to need to add some backing before adding any braid to the spool. But another option, if you don’t want to add mono to you know, has backing tsunami. Uh sells a three pack of braid ready, spool bands and it’s less than like five dollars, only a couple dollars um and then you don’t have to worry about adding backing to your spool.
So that’s something to think about uh. The last I want to compare is with the arms of this, of these two reels and the grip now um. This is really a user preference uh per each reel on the pen. It has the t-handle and I do like this handle and it it lets me, get a nice firm grip and with my fingers you know wrapped around the handle and uh those I mean, I’m not slipping off. You know.
I’ve brought many fish in on this reel and you have a nice firm grip and definitely like the t-handle and on the crixus. Casking went with the slip resistant super polymer handle knob, and I can say these are you know these are nice also and I’ve reeled in many fish with this one too, and I haven’t had any issues with my you know my fingers coming off the grip and you can wrap your your two fingers around this and reel in any uh, bigger redfish, all right.
So, as you can see, these two reels are pretty much tied with performance and both being a good budget inshore reel. But where the cast king starts to pull ahead is with their affordable innovation. So you might not see that big of a difference in the lower end series reels in price, but as we go up, you know to the 4000 and 5000 series reels, there’s quite a bit of a difference in price, and this is when casting shines.
I mean, as you can see here. This is a price comparison of the cast king crixus 5000 and pin pursuit 5000 as of today and you’re still getting that great performance. There might be some people out there thinking now that casking real couldn’t bring in those bigger bull reds. You know that I catch well. Let me tell you, I guess again because it can and it has and it continues to bring in those bigger fish.
So I’m gonna uh play this video of this cast king crixus 5000, bringing in this nice bull, red and so enjoy the video and y’all get out the house and go fish. You see something yeah yeah looking at crickets, though oh man yeah shaking his head. Oh man, oh awesome, so we got here 40 you.
Hey guys, it’s Josh over J and H today we’re taking a look at the pen, pursuit, 3, 3000, spinning real brand new from pen introduced at ICAST 2018, and this is a big upgrade from the previous version. You’re looking at HT 100 drag washes in there, so it’s got a really nice dry. They got rid of those oil and felt washers, and what should what you get is really like a pen fierce but with a graphite body and a great price.
You know this reel is just 50 bucks for 50 bucks I, you know, I, don’t think you can get a better real than this. Really well-made, durable, reliable will get the job done, and it’s it’s over built for what it is, which is which is great, which means that if you are an entry-level angler or maybe using this as a second reel for a friend or maybe you want to give it to kids, it’s perfect for that that HT 100 direct systems gonna put out 12 pounds of drag at max.
The reel is: gonna hold 130 yards, a thirty pound test, braid 5 ball bearings in there smooth for $50 reel. It’s got the nice aluminum handle with a bigger knob you nose. Paddle knob is actually larger than what you’d find on most reels of this size. I’ll show you a trip, nice smooth trip and again 50 bucks. You can’t go wrong with this. Reel pen really stepped up their game at the persuit 3, it’s smooth fun to fish.
You know graphite body. So it’s lightweight eleven point. Eight ounces. On this six point, two to 1 gear ratio. You can fish it freshwater saltwater. You want to take it down to the beach to do a little surf fishing with it. Why not? It’s just you know it’s a $50 reel. That’s actually really impressive! So if you’re in the market for a 3, 000 side spinning reel- and you want something that you can have a lot of fun with you- don’t wanna break the bank.
This is this is definitely the way to go so check it out. It’s the brand new pursuit pen, pursuit, 3, 3000, spinning, reel retail, and this is just 50 dollars and you get yours at J&H, calm.
Hi there real, tease anglers. This is Steve Carson here at the ICAST, show at beautiful Orlando, all the exciting new fishing tackle for 2019 and beyond, and there’s some pretty exciting stuff here. But you know what some of the exciting stuff is pretty doggone expensive and if expensive tackle is not on your menu, I’ve got the new pen pursuit, 3, spinning reels.
You want to take a good hard look at these they’re only 39 to 69 dollars. They come in a variety of sizes for a lot of insured freshwater type applications. You will never see a reel of 39 to $69 range. It has as many features as this one, but in particular all of these pursuit threes now have the HD 100 drag and also a metal side plate.
So if you’re fishing for snook for redfish or stripers for calico bass for surf perch for any of those inshore species, I’m not talking about tuna I’m, not talking about Marlin, but you know what? If your text you, what a lot of people like to catch fish, you with your kids, where they might drop them overboard? All those kind of things happen: these are going to be the reels for you, 39 to 69 dollars a bit available fall of 2018 10 Pursuit 3.
You.
