Hello, Dwight Norris of fishing at work today, I finally get back out rain storm just finished I, don’t know if you can see the water on the in the area, but just got here just in time and now we’re gonna do a continuing of the unboxing of the Eagle Claw packet and its use. So right now, I just pull out the line and I’m about to put on a new berkeley worm which I haven’t used here yet so we’ll see how the worm to the Texas style, weight work or on those lily pads where I caught those nice bass earlier I’ll have to walk a little further down the down the way, but there’s some lily pads right here, where I’ve never caught anything, but just you gotta be some fish under there.

Maybe I could coax them out of a worm. Let’s give it a quick try, and just before that, you can watch me beat up my line just for this for reference, so you know just skip forward to the actual fishing later. If you want I’ll talk a little bit while I get this together, so I got to go. Call packing here, I pulled the line out. It’s good I, have it through the the guys here doesn’t seem to be in damage on a tip, so I’m not gonna, bother like snipping off the brand-new end.

It should work just fine, virtually alarms here, they’re, actually fun old, but it sure smell like they’re new, so I’m gonna throw them on. There hope that I get a fish to hold 18 times longer. As originally stated, you might have changed that over the years, so enough learn quickly. I got the hook and also have a texas-style weight bullet weight. It looks like a bullet, and you know obviously, bullets I haven’t sure about that.

But does matter, Cowboys are from so I’m gonna read that along I got my off shank here didn’t actually buy this leverage and purchase I actually had some already. This should work. Just fine I’m gonna use a slip that here, which is one of the things that I know how to do. Best. I have recently found a better not to use, but I haven’t taken any time to actually practice that maybe I’ll do a couple of lion.

Tying lessons or you can see my follows: there’s water coming from the skies you might even see what villains know this water, that’s left in the trees, I’m gonna snip off this extra piece of line. Remember when you’re stepping off extra line on your hook. Excuse me sorry about that. Normally is snipping off extra line from your hook that you place it in the proper trash receptacle or at least your book bag.

Until you can get the one plastic pretty much tell everything, especially aquatic or the aquatic life akise pliers again says it says, there’s a better for pet for braided line, but this my old fires here will work. Just fine I’ll just use the tool at the end, easy peasy now for the worm. Here we have it. We have a book, have the worm. We see that there’s a little bit of I.

Think it’s a couple: centimeters, that’s 2, centimeters! That’s how far you want to go into the top pin of the hook of the the worm pretty much to the end of the joint here. Then you want to pull it out, see where the hooks clamp. Then you drag it down and you put that so that’d be. The joint here is actually showing them see. That’s the head part is in and it actually covers up the knife, which is pretty cool.

There are some times. I have a little like extra point in here after that, what’s called a gripper, a gripper hook, and it keeps it from falling back down, but oh we’re onto that too many problems too many times. So here you, you technical, you want to make it like this, so it comes out and it goes slow you back in so it gives it a little bit of a No. That’s the what I’m gonna use this.

It won’t get hung on stuff. So you do it like this. You figure out exactly where you need to insert it so between there pull it through and now it’s flat, so I go back a little bit put this the tip barely under the skin, and that makes it virtually hang proof, but I’ve learned the situations where that’s not true make sure you keep checking that that hook is under the work inside of the worm.

Every time you cast it because it made him sell their hand come dislodged, and then you lose your ability to not get hung on things. So now we’re ready to go you’re wondering a little kindness in it. I think it’s a pumpkin seed, birth to bake, a lot of people have good luck with pumpkin seed or green pumpkin seed or even like black I’ll, be getting those soon. They don’t have the tails and stuff so much, but this gives a little bit more action going to wonder.

You know enticing the fish, so let’s go out there, but norsu fish Network here again and I’ve score pay dirt. In that last place, I got the big bass. So no wonder is this the same fish I caught last time? I won’t see the hook part in the top of his mouth but boom. He built he bit this Berkeley worm and took it big time so get out here and get some fishing done. Man, you never know what will happen it’s time to go home now, I actually pushed a limit by two minutes: I’ll be back and I’ll walk a little faster.

Let’s just say that: well, here, I go you get out there, you catch some bass like this. Whatever else you have their bodies shooting release as well back in the water I actually want to make an extra statement. There I noticed that the fish actually fit it a little bit before. I noticed it, but point of the fact is actually went slack. They went to a left, I saw it happen and I was like that’s weird and then I had tighten the line.

I arrived I was waiting. I was, like all got a log. How do I get stuck on a log? I got my snag: proof, worm oil and then I, say: okay, I think it was a good, maybe five to six seconds of time. I went by before I got it and maybe that’s a testament to the Berkeley power worm and it’s 18 times longer. You know ability for fish to hold or longer it give you time to actually set the hook and even at its age of well over a couple of years it still had a potent smell and I got the weight and I still caught.

That fish, it was kind of amazing I’ve, really caught a fish on the Texas rig style worm and buy some time, I’m kind of avoiding them, and you know dealing with easier things like the small little bite to baits, jigs, spinner, baits and stuff, where he does. You know, cast and reel cast and reel cast and reel, not too much like technique, but uh via the new eco claw packet was able to easily enable me to actually sense what was happening besides, actually see it.

If a larger rod, it was like a medium action. I probably would have noticed. I would have been a little too stiff, but this five and a half foot rod. That’s that’s a light action, but it’s more like a medium light action and in between I was able to. Let me uh actually feel that bass pretty well. Those are on a two pound bass, no more unhappy catch, something you know it was actually the last spot on the catch I mean actually the last pile is going to fish at.

It was time to go as I’m going back to work now and another fish right in the same spot under the same log. Some reason the bass like to sit there I will know this I’ll try the other areas and see if I can find spots like that and if I flunk out I’ll roll back to the failsafe, though a little log catch the bass and don’t get skunked, no mine was gone too anyway. Hey everybody fishing fool here again for two weeks for work: it’s pretty cold. We went fishing last Friday and Saturday and managed to catch a couple of decent bass and some crappie and a couple of bluegill but figured I’d. Do this quick video and show you a telescoping rod that I bought it’s a decent little rod? It’s called the Eagle Claw packet telescopes out to be about five and a half feet long. It’s a not bad for the price at this fifteen bucks I bought it at Dick’s, no dunham sports up here in Ohio up in northern Ohio, but I think it’s a great little option to have.

If you’re like me, you can’t leave well enough alone and I’ve been stuck in a hotel room for two weeks, so I had to get out and do some fishing but I think it’s a great little option to have. You can throw this in a backpack. I’ve got the Maxpedition whatever you call this, the rollup backpack and it fits in there. Fine I kept it in the car and doesn’t get in the way. This thing breaks down to be really really short and it doesn’t weight. Hardly anything, but, as you can see, I mean this thing is absolutely tiny.

I, don’t know exactly how long the scene is closed, but it’s freaking tiny. This is not the real that came on it. This is the Akuma Stratos V, 25 and I’ve got ten pound tests parade on there. The real that came on here is pretty crappy 15 bucks. You can’t expect much. It came with a little yellow reel and the anti backing or anti reverse on it was horrible, so I bought this reel. It was like twenty nine dollars on sale at Dick’s, Sporting Goods, so I got it and slapped it on here and I’ve been pretty pretty impressed with this little rod, I mean it’s not a top of the line, rod and it’s medium action.

It is kind of flimsy and you’re not gonna, be able to make it. Those long casts on the flats, but if you come places like this, a Silver Creek, Park and close to wodsworth about ten minutes from my hotel, where I’m staying but I’ve come here. It caught some bass, Joe and ended up catching look to be about a two and a half pound bass, but he’s got the same rod and spent fifteen bucks on it and he’s using the crappy reel that came on it with some mono, but throwing these little little repellers.

This thing is spot-on for it. It works great and I really can’t wait to get this thing back to Florida and see what I’ll do up against some peacock bass or some trout, or something like that and see what how the longevity of this rod is, how long it’ll last it’s fiberglass so I think it’ll last a good. Why a good way a good bit! I can’t talk it’s freezing out here, but uh yeah, I figured I’d. Just do this quick little video and show you guys a little option. I know: there’s other options out there that you can get of telescoping rods.

That might be better. A little bit longer. I bought this one just because it’s fiberglass and it’s got decent action to it, and it’s short I mean you can see how small this thing is. So it’s gonna be able to fit in my bag. It’s much traveling as I. Do I want to be able to get out there and do some fishing, because I don’t want to just sit in a hotel room and rot. Oh right away, watching TV, but I mean this will get you out there you’ll be able to catch fish slap a different reel on there.

If you want there’s some braided line on there and go out and fish have fun, but as always, I’m fishing, full and I. All righty, so I just picked up this new. This eagle claw pad rod and had two or three trips fishing with it now so I can a few words I want to think of it for 20 dollars. It’s I think it’s a good value. It’s not worth more than 20 dollars, that’s for sure, but if you just want something, that’s cheap, small light portable. Then this is a great rod for that application.

The fact that I can just break down a super small is really really nice. It’s just right here. It’s just like super compact, really easy to put a backpacker or some sort of bag, or anything like that downsides to it. It’s kind of a it’s not very sensitive. It’s a very slow action, which means the whole rod will Bend from through ours rather than at the tip, which is usually more preferable, at least for my style of fishing.

Another downside is the wheel. This one is a Shakespeare contender. The one that came with this is it’s garbage. I would not recommend using it whatsoever. Put it on take a cast with that light. No, not gonna use it. So we’re gonna use that again, but this video is like twenty dollars, so you can smell a little bit more and get a nice set up if you’re looking for a better package will rot.

This is another one that I use. It’s a it’s like a quantum telecast I think that’s called it’s a lot nicer OTT and this one was maybe 35 40 hours, so I’m gonna spend a little bit more I definitely recommend this one. This is a 5 foot, 6 light. This one is like a 5 foot, 6 medium, so there’s same length, this one’s just nice, much nicer, quality, better, handle design more sensitive, yeah I would recommend this one over the Eagle Claw, but or just a basic, packed rod.

This one’s definitely worth your time just using it for trout. So far, that’s been working great. The one thing I do love about. It is that I can fit inside of this tube here. So all three of those rods tube, which is really nice for just traveling light and packing light compact. So for this packed rod, good value, not worth 120 dollars, but hopefully you got something good out of that review and roll some footage of me fishing with it here.

So hopefully you can see what I’m talking about. What’s this little action that, coupled with flight mana flow, a lot of stretch so you’re not gonna, have really good hook setting power, but just to get the job got it to a trot. It’s a bunch of chart over here, surfacing I, don’t know what they were feeding out exactly though this one.

Oh, that’s a nicer one on this little red and white jig. This is actually a pretty nice fish yeah. This is one of the best fish I’ve caught here healthy, rainbow trout. It’s getting back, he’s fine I’m, just fishing with this little, it’s a white soft plastic, minnow bait with the red jig head and treating it very radically quickly that guy nailed it um yeah I’ve caught two.

So far, um I had a little minnow jig head on this rod and then some gulp bait on this rod. First, ever fish on this gulp bait looks like it’s working pretty decent there. He goes there’s one on the middle bait again move spots, so this rocky area where the dam is and this area tends to be one of the best areas, see him down there, not a couple of them there.

We go. It’s not too big. Let me think this. Oh yes, that’s a bigger one. Oh yes, so much bigger fish until right away! This one is gonna, be my dinner another decent one. That’s a little bit better! Hey, what’s going on guys, this is Cody Wilson and it’s my very first video and I just wanted to take a minute and show you my brand new table. I, finally, have a camera set up so that you can see me out there in YouTube land and hopefully might get eclipsed with my beard. My first video today is going to be an unboxing video, because I think they’re, cool and I think it’s fun to see that you know my reaction to something that I just bought online and it’s it’s a brand new fishing pole as promised and I’m really excited about it because when I bought it it was an impulse, buy I’ll say that much, but I really didn’t know how much I needed one until I saw it.

So, let’s get the thing out, and this is the box that was just left at my door just a little bit ago that when I came home and man it is light. I’ll tell you what so not very big. This right here is the Eagle Claw packet, spin, combo, alright. So, first off it’s in this hard plastic that you see when you buy like a screwdriver or something Lowe’s, it’s in it’s hard plastic, but that’s not! That’s, not gonna be a problem because it’s not glued around the edge, so I don’t need to go grab scissors or anything to get in this.

It’s just stapling and I love that about you claw is. They know you’re going to use it probably that same day, so a lot of Eagle over the feed line. It’s really easy over the time. Okay! So now the first thing that I notice about this rod that it comes with is everything’s really loose, and we like that because we want to pull this whole thing. You know some, let’s start with the very last one: I’m gonna pull it out and you can see it extends well beyond the frame of my camera.

So this is over six feet in length. This is a six foot rod. Now the handle is similar to any old spinning. You know rig that you would get it back, Pro, Shops or Walmart or whatever for ten dollars, and it feels like a ten dollar rod. To be honest with you, it feels really light. This whole thing costs about I, would say anywhere from in between the twenty and thirty dollar range. For this thing, I can’t remember the exact amount that I’ve paid for this, but I want to say that it was close about twenty-five dollars for the adventure fishing channel, we’re going to be doing a lot of backwater fishing, a lot of hiking out into the middle of nowhere.

You know to go after those those little bats that hang out under the rocks. So this is gonna be perfect for getting us back in those streams and all I have to do to collapse. It is just start at the base and just push now: I tighten them a little bit so they’re sticking and that kind of hurts my hand, so you know getting it loose when it’s when they’re pulled tight like that and shoving them back in, like that kind of matches it down on your fingers, so watch out for that. Alright, someone pull this all the way out, but I’m not gonna, pull it out too hard because I don’t want them to stick because I want to adjust them right, so I want.

This is where my reels gonna go. So let’s put that on. First, okay goes in the top: let’s try this again I see it okay, so let’s go ahead and get our reel on and it goes in the top this, and that just goes right on there like that, and we want to make sure that that is darn near tight. Alright. So basically this this feels, like you know, any really good quality, one that you get at Bass, Pro Shops. This actually feels pretty heavy and I like the I, like the weight on that pole, but I actually haven’t taken the pole all the way out.

Yet we’re actually going to take this outside in our next video we’re gonna catch some fish with I promise, so a the handle you can see, flips open standard feature almost reels and if I want to lock it down, then my poll around here I want to lock it down. All I got to do is twist this knob down. Just like you do on any poll now. There is also the reverse, lock right there, so you can have this free, spinning both directions or you can lock it down and only spins in one direction right.

So that’s how I like them. Now, let’s get on to the hand grip right was when I’m fishing. This is how I hold it and I always bring this lip up and I grab onto my line like that. So I start with it between these fingers and then I move to this. So really, this right here is more than enough hand grip you have that there. If you want to do a double handed cast like that, so plenty of hand grip, really this. This is this- is a perfect size. It feels like they did their homework and they did their research when they were making this thing, because they knew that backpackers were looking for some like this now right now.

What I’m trying to do is I’m trying to line up all these eyes right because they have to run in a line down. You know they have to line up down slow down the length of whole tip of this pole. I’ve noticed and is actually pretty flimsy. It feels like this I can feel the wire in there and I can feel the fiberglass binding around it or whatever. It’s made out of feel that. So this feels like a really light. Rod like this is something you would catch pan fish with, or little trout, little 16 inch, trout, probably so I got all these lined up and I’m.

Looking at the thing and honestly I know they’re doing it just so, you can use it as soon as you buy it. But honestly, most fishermen take this off and replace it with their favorite line and I’m, probably going to end up putting some kind of and then visibly or something like that. I use, Brighton line and I use a really live, 8 pound and the reason for that is so it flies further right. You want it to fly further and you want it to be able to hold a very small but very heavy lure.

That’s that’s the method for catching things: fish them. This pole is going to work out great, ok, guys, so I really think this is going to be an awesome investment and I’m glad that I bought its money well spent I can’t wait to take it out and show it to you on our next video we’re going to be taking a trip down to Shelbyville Tennessee, so join us for that.
