Now these trail running shoes here are built to handle just about anything the trail or nature throws at you it's got that gore-tex membrane in there which is fantastic because it means it's gonna stay nice and breathable for you during those warmer seasons but if you counter any wet or rainy situations it's gonna help. Keep that moisture on the outside so your feet don't get wet on the inside it. Does have a waterproof of leather rear. Quarter back here with a mud garden to really keep everything protected with a mesh lined interior very comfortable in their feeling good once you lace up but. They really thick epa mid sole beneath all that to give you that shock absorption that you need and down here a bomb we got that really solid rubber outsole here with those lugs that you see throughout handle all different types terrain so go ahead and lace yours up today they're from the north face

You guys since i finished the georgia portion of. The appalachian trail it's been raining almost non-stop it's finally. Right now just drizzly so i just came. Out to walk around the neighborhood and i found this really cool old fireplace. That i don't know. Must have belonged to some kind of home. And look at that's like the biggest. Rhododendron i have ever seen at least. I'm pretty sure it's a rhododendron and right now of course it's starting to. Rain hopefully i won't get soaked but i have. Been going stir-crazy so i wanted to. Tell you about the new shoes that i got. From rei gosh i think i got them maybe. Like a month ago over six weeks ago i. Can't even remember now oh hey. I found what appears to be a bit of. Betrayal If my suspicions are correct if this. Should be going the link might be for. Launching back to the shoe story i. Picked up a pair of oboes and. I have been toying with the idea of trying ovo's ever since i came down with. The plantar fasciitis in my right heel. And let me tell you seven months later. My heel is one well. Not 100% but i want to say like 90%. Pain-free finally and the minute that i. Put the oboz on and walked in them like. Five steps. I knew that my foot was gonna feel. Better because the arch in it is just. Like the arch and my choco sandals and. Those were the only other shoes that. Allowed my foot to feel okay. We are These shoes have been a lifesaver and. The best part is that i found out that. Oboes the insole that goes with the shoe. Phobos makes the insole as a standalone. So i was able to buy a set of insoles to. Put in my work shoes my hope does and. Between using the new hiking shoes and. Using the insoles in my hoe cos my foot. Is finally better and it is so exciting. it's raining harder and i have no umbrella or hat but. Assured you love the way the brain. Well i came back to the road and i have. My improvised makeshift costume to keep. My head and shoulders dry. In other news four weeks from now i will. Be hitting the road heading south to. Florida thanks for praying for me and I'm really. Excited because i found out that I'm. Gonna be living like less than a mile. From a section of the florida trail so. That's exciting funny story i lived in south florida for. 11 years and had no idea there was a. Long trail in florida because i mean. When you say florida what do you think. You think beach you think palm trees. Umbrella drinks nobody thinks about. Hiking in florida that's like not my. Goat like it's not a go-to thought like oh yeah i bet the trails in florida are fantastic so. When i moved to arizona three years ago. And discovered the arizona trail that's what i discovered the florida trail and i was like what like wait really i could. Have been hiking in florida all those years that's my life. Tends to be ironic. Oh and a rainbow look at that. Right okay the rain has stopped again. And i am going to head home. And take a hot shower. And watch Christmas shows anyway i was. Okay this is a review of the women's. Oboes low top hiking shoe i did buy. These at a local store i did not buy them from amazon but i wanted to add this review i have a wide foot and a. High arch and these shoes work very well. They have a nice wide toe box and they. Have a narrow, but they have a narrow heel they have a good arch support on the inside and i like the fact that it. Has a very aggressive tread so it works. Very well been a lot of hikes with these i have not had any trouble hiking on a. Lot of loose scree and these catch very. Well i don't slip and slide it will fall. Walked on wet rocks and other surfaces. That were not very stationary and they. Work very well i can walk them in all day and even though they have a tough aggressive tread they do have enough cushion on the inside that they are comfortable enough to wear all day and. They don't hurt my feet a lot of shoes. When they put a pretty tough tread on the bottom end up being too hard on your. Feet but these have just the right amount of arch support and cushion and a. Nice rugged sole.

Looks like they've done something different we've had these in the past but it looks like they have a little toggle on here to tighten up so if you loosen up or you have a kid with fat feet then you can tighten it down or you. Can loosen it up that's new addition this year oh what's going on yes oh you're you don't like the paper in there here that one's got no paper you can put them on your hands and like walk with them maybe what do you think of. These shoes matron they're so cool huh why did we order red shoes what do you like what's red oh my god they're red light. Red light spider-man red what else is. Red so the what we really like about the. Chandler's is they're really soft and squishy like they're easy like you can go like that they have a gray grippy bay. Which is awesome and what else do we. Like about these they stay pretty dry surprisingly even when though they're. Not waterproof they actually kind of. Feel very waterproof so here high-five. Should we see what mommy got he doesn't. We see in standard sock liners and the. Arched support prevents over pronation the heel cup keeps the back of your foot. Snug so there's no rubbing the plush foam under your heel and forefoot is. Comfortable and the whole thing is perforated for wicking elbows put a lot of research and development into building the sapphires particularly. Designing them for the female foot i typically prefer wider shoes because i. Like to have a lot of room for my toes to splay but the rest of my foot isn't. Wide so when i wear a wide shoes my heel. Is really sloppy the fit of the sapphire boots is perfect for me because they're. Narrower at the heel and wider at the forefoot size eight and a half is perfect for me in this shoe and that's the size i typically wear the overall. Profile of this boot is low so they. Don't look or feel bulky the symmetrical ankle height adapts to the. Irregularities of the human foot you can lace these up tight for support but not. Feel constricted when you're moving forward the b-dry waterproof lining. Means that you can walk downtown in the rain or handle those stream crossings with ease and your feet will stay dry. There's even a dwr finish applied to the. Durable nu buck leather to protect the exterior from getting saturated with water these are fine looking boots with. All right hi everyone today i've got a pair of oboes hiking boots and open up and we'll take a look and see what we got these are the oboz men's bridger be dry. In the scotch brown color you can see. That that's the label on the box there and let's get these open and have a look. See what we've got in the box here all. Right yeah these are yeah i do like the. Color of these get a little close-up. Look here this is the scotch brown color. With the red laces obviously comes in a. Variety colors but these are the ones i like these have a nice heel cup rubber. Heel cup they have their be dry. Waterproofing membrane throughout the boot so does a waterproof boot with a nubuck leather outer fabric whatever you. Call it yeah alright so looking good. Let's see what got hit else here in the box so i can extra pair of laces these. Are brown didn't expect that so that's kind of nice looks like that's it. Alright set that off the side here's the. Other one you can see it's just the same everything's all laced up nice and new oh smells great alright so here's the. Sole i don't think i showed the sole yet but you can see it's got a nice aggressive tread pattern with some deep. Lugs and i like the red eye red. Highlights here pretty cool but these. Are the oboz bridge or mid air. Waterproof one nice thing about them is the toe it's a little bit reinforced. Here with this rubber rubber piece here it's not really stiff but it does give. It some extra protection if your toe boots if you're kicking rocks and roots and stuff like that on the trail that's. Nice i happen to like that not all i can. Boots have that all right just unlace. This a little bit it'll look kind of. Inside a little bit here and show you something else that's kind of nice that oboes does and most other boot manufacturers do not do so you can see. He's got this piece here what is fully waterproof and we'll just look inside here that kind of a gray pattern here on. The tongue yeah. Pretty dark can't really see too well but the one thing i did kind of want to point out is the insole that oboes does. A little extra on their insole insert. It's a lot better than most. Manufacturers i turn it over you can see. A little bit of a kind of a shock pad here on the forefoot and the heel and. That's kind of impact point to your foot and it's a lot stiffer it's a better it's a better insole with some good arch. Support most hiking boots just come with. A very very flimsy insert this one has. Some structure to it and will provide some support it's one of the things that. Oboes does that nobody else really does would it be it just comes stock included. And then inside you know just a quick. Look there's nothing too interesting but. Anyways that's the insole it slides in. And out real quick if you're trying on. Boots in the store pull the insole out. You'll see that most other manufacturers are very flimsy they really had no structure and provide as much support as. The oboist does so there you go it's a. Beautiful looking boots extra pair of laces and looking forward to get out on. The trail these would be good yeah hiking backpacking even just general. Mini yard work if you're a landscaper may you work on a golf course or something these would be a pretty good work boot we spend a lot of time outdoors but definitely good for hiking and. Front and rear pull tabs inside is a breathable mesh lining you do have some padding here around the ankles that way it gives you some extra comfort reinforced toe cap protection great. Cushioning in the footbed and it gives you an injection-molded eba mid sole great shock absorption and gives you durability it's got a stealth ph outsole. With the 510 access climbing zone in the. Going to give you protection almost all the way up to the ankle so it's a really. Nice confident weather protection there a fun fact about asolo is that they. Produce 100% of their footwear in european zolo owned factories and 99% of. The materials that they use are also sourced in europe so it's pretty neat fact about asolo moving down to the mid sole of this boot. We've got a molded eba mid sole for some. Cushion and structure and the boot is. Built on an aza flex lasting board now. It's matched to the last of the shoe and. It gives a customized stiffness and pattern for the gender and size of. The footwear it's gonna provide some underfoot protection while maintaining a lightweight profile and it gives you that durability and a little bit of insulation as well so some nice features that come into play with that aza flex lasting board finally moving down to the.
