These videos for jim show you the three. Classic trick press. This is one of the turrets I've got the. Leaf or die set installed in here for. Forty five cold so install just dropping. Then like that now this is the auto. Indexing rod it's got a little plastic. Piece on the top that engages in with. The turret and then this piece sits down. Here on the bottom and it's held in. Place with a screw i took that off as well. Because i like to do the indexing. Manually like this and when they removed you can turn this thing in any direction as you want you can skip a station if. You want to just have a lot of. Flexibility on I'm used to doing it that way now it comes with two primer arms. And they both added at a glance they. Look the same and even looking at them. This way you have to look close to tell which ones for large and which ones for small primers so what i did was i took. Some nail polish and just put an l on. The large and an s on the small that way. I can tell it a glance so this is 45. Long colt which takes a large primer arm. So you just take them and drop them down. In their like that's how they. That's how they go in. There's a rope there's a roll there's a roll pin in there that engages into this. Little hook area right there that. So keeps it in like scott and then. Here's your shell holder for a 45 long cold. That's it rights there now when this. Thing is lowered all the way you'll notice that that primer pin is sticking. Out through the shell holder well what. That also means is if you have a shell in there and you lower it all the way you can't you can't pull the shell out. Or put one in because that that primer. Devices is holding it captive so because. Of that what i do is i do all of my. This is the d capping and resizing guy. So i put up i put a shell in there that. Needs resizing i pick up a primer i drop. It in there and then i run that up into the die and then when i lower it i push. It forwards and reprime then i have to. Raise it up just a little bit so i can take this one off and put the next one on okay so after I've done my batch like. That then what i do is i just pop this. Off take the primer arm out and put the. Shall holder back in now i can lower the. Shall holder down as low as i want to. And it won't interfere the primer arm. Won't interfere effect of you know. Taking shells in and out so i use. The primer arm for this very first stage. And that's it then after that i just remove it and i don't worry about it for. The rest of the operation now in the. Second die this is your expander die it. Flares the mouth of the cartridge so. That you can get a bullet to start. That one's already flared and see now if. If you don't flare it you can't that the boy the board will go. In there to start it now what you got to. Do these dyes come there's a hole in the. Middle of them which lets you flare the. Mouth and also drop the powder in now. When you get it from lead they have this little aluminum plug at the top which has got a hole in the middle of it and lee makes a funnel the fits in there just perfect like that so you can run. Your casing up like this and just dump. In a measure charge let's say you let's. Say you were doing real precision shooting and you were measuring every. One of them on your on your scale you take it off the pan and. Just dump it in okay now what I'm doing. Is I'm using this auto drum. Measuring device and I've already got a. Riser screwed on there and what you have. To do is when we first install the. Turret gun the unscrew this plug and. Take the little o-ring off put the plug. Back in the box so you don't lose it the. O-ring goes on here and they need to. Screw down and you die okay like that. Now that's already adjusted and I've. Locked the adjustment with this dial operate now what you'll notice. What when i run this up in there you'll see that it's operating the mechanism. For dumping the powder. And then here's the here's the hopper. Powder sits on top like that okay so the. Adjustment here with this audio drum is that you've got to get this thing so it comes up far enough if. It doesn't come up far enough it won't operate it all the way it or just be a partial operation like that it will drop any powder or maybe not enough after a. While you'll see how far you have to bring it up now if you bring it up too far then you'll start crushing your cases so you have to bring it up almost. Really to a full stroke but without. Going too far alright so that's that. Stage the next stage these guys have the. Potential to do two things they can see. The bullet and crimp at the same time but because you've got a ford i set the. Fourth guy is your crimper so what you do with these is you screw them down. Until you can feel the crimping part touching the case and then you back it. Out I'll back it out about a turn and then this knob up here is used to. Control how deep the bullet is put. In so you start like this and you rate run it up in there and you keep turning. This down until the bullet is seated to the proper depth and the proper depth. Depends on the caliber and what type of bullet you're using etc and then the. Fourth die is the crimper now in the for. Die set this also does two things it's. Got a carbide insert because if you're using cash led bullets some sometimes. These aren't perfectly round and. There you can end up with little small. Little bulges in the case from the. Bullets not being perfectly round but. When it goes in through this carbide winging it is out any. Imperfections in the cast bullet. And then this knob adjusts the crimp. Right here the other thing i wanted to. Show you is when you've got four dies in. There you can see that the dialect rings are pretty close to each other and you don't have a lot of room in here to get a wrench i think that's an inch and a quarter so. Rcbs makes a thin-walled. Socket i think i paid eight dollars for. This thing and of course it works on our cbs lock rings but it also fits needs. These lis ones and works just perfect so. You can now when you lock when you lock. This one down good you might have to. Unscrew this so you can get this over it. But the rest of them you can just put. This right over top of it and help hold your turret and you can loosen. These up now there is some play in here but it engages on all that all the. Corners and it will it'll tighten to loosen no problem and then the way i. Store these turrets is i went out and. Bought a three-eighths inch hardwood. Dowel and if you've cut these i got a. Scrap piece of lumber and drill 3/8 inch. Holes in it with my drill press and then. Pound a section of this stuff into the piece of wood and then these just. Sit will sit right up on their like that, and they're under stable three-eighths. Inch hardwood dowel. At the bottom i don't know if it's in the field of view at the bottom you've got this tube that catches the. Primers and i have on the end of it i. Have the little red cap and when i see. It's getting full I'll just empty it into a can some people probably just. Leave it open at the bottom and just set a small trash can down there to catch all the primers so hope this. Helps.

The Easiest way to do it is for me to just take a video and show you how i did it i. Don't think you need any help trying to. Figure out how to model it's your bench the most important thing is to have a flush surface that you see here with very little overhang because there is enough torque in these machine when you pull that handle down to curl over an. Edge and also you want to reinforce. Underneath the bench all the way back to. The wall and i would say at the very. Minimum two or three ganged up two by. Fours or two by sixes front to rear and. Screwed all the way through at the front. My bench doesn't have any legs on the. Back I've got it anchored directly to the wall but many people put it on four. Legs and they do fine with it. The most important thing is to simply have a good attachment to the wall so it won't pull forward when you mount the. Bench when you mount the press to the. Bench one of the things that you'll notice is that the handle comes detached. The most important thing to keep in mind. Is that this handle has a bend to. It that particular bend is to clear the. Primer feed attachment so you want to. Have a curled away from the machine and the other thing is to notice that the bottom of the tube has to go all the way. Through the press i would pass it. Through at least so you have a quarter of an inch through the other side you. Can pass as much through as you want to which allows you to have a little bit shorter swing but this presses get. Compound leverage so whatever way feels. Most comfortable for you is fine then. Once you get a set up you'll notice that. The there's a couple of extra parts that. Come in the bag one of them is this. Primer feed hanger and let me. Stop the video and I'll bring it up closer so you can see that no right. There pete you can see the primer feed hanger the way that's attached. Now you notice pete that looking on from. The front of the machine I've got a slightly angled you'll be able to figure. Out the best angle once you get the primer feet attachment hung as you see. Right now with the primer feed hanging. In the direction that's hanging it's actually swinging on the axis of the. Main shaft that you want to have the. Primer feed swing directly towards the center of that shaft which is where the primer is actually going to sit on the. Top of the ram and another important. Thing to notice here is the washer goes. Above the spacer and the flats are. Toward the machine one of the really. Nice things about the lis machine is the. Way they have the primer disposal system. Many companies have nothing at all. Except a tray which gets dirty and messy the tube is just simply pushed onto the. Attachment at the end of the press what i did was just wrap a piece of wire around it but a cable tie would be a lot. Prettier a lot nicer now these are the. Remaining parts that actually come with the press these are both to feed the. Primer feed arms and there is one for. Small primer in one for large primarily pretty easy to identify you can mark them on the side with a magic marker to make things easier for. If you want but you'll you'll find this pretty simple the other thing is the. Rotation shaft this is actually what. Actuates the turning mechanism on the one. The turret it can be left out for. Single-stage operation or to control. Feed or you can put it in during full. Automation of course anything that you. Really need to know is listed in their. Manual if there's any failing with the lis. System is that i think they presume that everybody who buys one of these machines. Is mechanically adept and they don't go. Into specific details on how to turn screws but most of it's pretty simple to. Figure out now that's pretty much the. Basic stuff with regard to mounting the press now we'll get into how too actually. Attach the dies and the powder mechanism. First of all simply take turret and. Place it on top of the machine without the rotation axle and just. Index it into place now your dies will. Come with these three right here the. First one is a decapping die and. Resizing dial in one you'll see at the. Bottom there's a in the center there's a. Decamping pin that pushes out the old. Primer and the body of the die is shaped. The same exact dimensions as your chamber perhaps it's supposed to be a tiny bit smaller than your chamber of. Your rifle so that the round will feed. Correctly and at the top of it you'll. Notice that there is the pin protrude through the nut that nut is simply a. Collet nut which is screwed down under. Force if you should for any reason need. To adjust that or you get a stuck case you can loosen you can loosen that nut. Up and then drive down with a ball-peen. Hammer or if that's a hardened that the hardened pin you can drive down with a ball-peen hammer and drive the stuck case out that's that's an eventualities. An away from though if you can avoid it because it wastes the case and it takes. About ten minutes to get back into operation but the first thing that we're going to want to do is to first of all. Just place this in the press to get it started. And then we need to place a shell holder on the top of the ram to do our final. Adjustments now your set of dies may. Just come with one shell holder someday. If you have enough calibers you probably want to buy a kit full of them and that. Will give you all the primary shell holders that you'll need for the lion's share of cartridges in the world and. Packed inside the shell holder set on. The back you'll find the card which. Lists all the different calibers and if. You look for two to three Remington you'll find it right here down about an inch and a half from the top and the first column and it says right there. That we need shell holder number four about shell holder number four and then. Place that snap it rights in it should. Come to a dead stop now this. Machine that really comes clean from the factory but i would be careful to take. Any possible chips of metal out of. Grooves so get yourself a small little pink brush and wipe those out, and we. Don't need the primer feet arm in there. Right now and it gets in the way but the. First thing we'll do is we'll raise the ram all the way to the top and then. Screw the die all the way down until the. Die contacts the top of the shell holder. Now you'll notice that you'll notice. That each of these dies has a 7/8 oh. Ring wrapped around the body that o-ring. Is a special lee invention that allows. You to tighten this die down without the. Use of lock screws and all sorts of. Widgets that other companies have come up with that really don't work this doesn't in any way damage the die and it. Makes the adjustment very simple with fingers only most of the time but. What you want to do is back off that locking ring sufficiently so that you can be sure that you've bought them and once you bottomed out on the rim as. You can see here and you make sure that. You're not boiled out on the locknut until the ram is contacted then screw. Down with your fingers onto your locking. Ring now what moved there was just. Simply the i turn the turret but you. Just want to turn that down until it's finger tight and if you wish you can. Give it an extra forceful turn with your. Fingers until you're sure that oring is crushed that's once that's. Adjusted and set into operation there's. No need to move that ever again now just. Simply raise the lever and move the ram. All the way these stations index. Clockwise so simply move your turret. Clockwise to the next index position now. One of the accessories that you purchase with allay rifle charging die that's a. Special powder dump die and it's tall. Enough so that it will clear all the other dies in the turret and it says on. Italy rifle and it should say c2 perhaps. Now again will raise the ram and will. Back the lock ring off enough so that we. Can be sure that we're either all the. Way down in these are standard seven. Eighths by fourteen machine threads very. Universal thread this year throughout the industry lead eyes will accept anybody else's leaf presses will accept. Anybody else's dies and vice versa. Now this time rather than screwing the. Dye all the way down in we first want to remove how to funnel at the top this. Powder funnel by the way will accept a. Regular standard li powder funnel to. Used out of the powder reservoir what. But what we'll do right now is remove that place to the side, and we'll take. The powder charging mechanism now your. Your powder charger came with a number of parts but it's all set up and ready to go the one thing that you want to. Make sure you have on it is this attachment right here which is the quick detaching mechanism if it's not. Installed on it you'll do just as i show. Here you may need to remove the arm that. Came with it there's a tea arm that may. Come with the charging mechanism remove. It by taking the screw off being careful. This spring is under tremendous pressure. Just take that screw off and replace it. With this abbreviated control arm and. Then place that down inside and simply. Tighten it all the way down now once. It's all the way down and it's secure. You can tighten it with the black. Knurled ring and you'll notice that this. Can be this can be swung in any direction it'll be preferable to have it. Positioned over the turret for most of. Your operations but if you need to make any adjustments you can swing it out of the way and then turn it back again now. At the top of it you'll notice that does this arm and this arm right here which. Is actuated by the contact of the case. Inside the die as the case comes up inside the die there is a sleeve inside. That pushes up and actuates this control. Arm and that control pivots and then pushes the disk you feed. Discs over this hole and this discharge. Hole is always remaining open so the. Putter simply drops free fall and you. Always want to make sure that you can see this hopper in case you should have. Any obstruction or anything that would prevent powder from freely dropping.

Hey there youtube does this here to learn 442 I've got another video with 40 a today i just built this bench for my. Reloading press so i can finally get it set up it's pressure-treated redwood studs in. The front here standard redwood 2 by 6. For the rear pieces and the crossbars. And then this top is an inch and a half. Thick piece of oak it was an oak. Tabletop it's lent its multiple pieces. That are glulam i guess but they're. They're pretty sturdy solid made. Together here and like i said it's an. Inch and a half thick it was a tabletop. Like i said it's not anymore now it's top of my bench it is two and a quarter. Feet and depth here cut down from three. Foot width and it is five feet long from. End to end here so sorry i don't have a. Wider view on my camera but there she is. Figured before i get into mounting my. Press and setting everything up I'd show. You guys what comes inside of the league. Classic turret press kit which seems to. Be about the best value for the dollar. Out there for a full press kit for. Reloading the only thing that's on this. Bench right now that did not come in the. Kit or I'm sorry that's missing that did. Come in the kit is the reloading manual. That you get along with this kit so that. Being said this is the box for the press this here of course is the press itself. It's correct press at auto indexes that turrets popping out right now. It's got a cast iron base everything. Else seems to be pretty well-made high-quality steel some of its coated. This particular model has a hole in the. Bottom for the spent primer catch now. The other things that come in the box. With the depress are of course small. Pieces in parts including the different. Different parts for loading different. Sized primers for the auto prime or. Safety prime system. It's nice handle it's got a nice ball on. The end it does have a little bit of a taper to it so that you can get a little. Bit of extra clearance some people like. To put an extended nob on it that comes out the side we'll see how it works once. I get it loaded in there and of course here we go. With our tube to catch our primers which. Goes and slips on down here and just. Slips over there and the primers are. Going to fall into there can either take off this bottom part or just take the whole tube back off up here so that's. All that comes in the press box move. That stuff all over here well it as well. Comes with the instructions miniature. Instructions kind of mounting instructions as well as a quick overview of how to reload the li precision. Catalog for 2013 came with it also in. The press boxes now along with the press box. We had these small parts. There were just in a sleeve this is. Primer pocket cleaner chamfering tool. Cutter and lock stud for your rifle. Cases mainly and for new brass as. Opposed to once fired or twice fired so. On and so forth auto disk riser everybody told me all. The reviews that i read said that you had to buy one of those separately mine. Came with it in the kit you know i don't. Now if that's just because of where i bought it from, and they're cool like. That knowing that you're going to need the riser or if lee has realized that. People got to have that riser, and so they started including it I'm not sure but it does come the kit now or it came. In mind and then resizing lubricant for. Full length resizing of cases the dyes. That i have four five six and two to three have a full full-length case. Sizing die and that's what I'll be using i did not get the set with the neck only. Die because frankly my ar is not a. Bolt-action rifle and i probably will. Reload ammunition that will be shot out of other people's by five six and two. Two three chambered rifles besides mine. So i do want a full length size all of. My cases now that said also in the main. Box a classic turret press kit box. Safety primer feed large and small go. Ahead. Open that up so you can see in here they. Have different colors one is black one is white there's obviously some. Instructions in there in the back I'll. Just take one out here and show you so. The way this works is you pop the front. Case off here and dump your primers in and then lightly tap the bottom of it. And we'll turn around then you flip it. Up like this on top of the press and. The primers come out one at a time down. Here to be loaded so it does come with. Both large and small safety prime kits. Framer feeder kids safety primer feed. Kit it comes with both large and small. Primers also comes with the pro auto. Disc powder measure that's what we need. The riser for there're instructions for. The powder measure there is the powder measure itself there's the top that. Holds the powder the base and the discs. There's four disks in their i will be. Reloading rifle cartridges mainly well. I'll probably be loading rifle and pistol cartridges but since I'll be loading rifle cartridges and I'm not. Sure what powders I'll be using i may be loading some seven six to worsen 308 at. Some point i did purchase separately a. Double disc kit for this powder measure. Which allows you to go up to a much. Larger powder measure or powder drop. For rifle cases so i have that set aside. And I'll show you that in a minute the. Other thing that comes in here besides. What we've seen and the reloading book. Is the safety powder scale here it says. It's magnetically dampened lifetime accurate safety beam approach to weight being lift it is a beam scale so it's. Like you used in chemistry class in. High school or anywhere where you had to. Accurately check weights before we. Had our digital scales everywhere so the. Pieces to that or the bar the container. And the base here and of course the. Instructions are here so I'll set that. Up later and that's what comes in the. Box like i said for some rifle cases. You're going to need a double-disc kit. So i believe i have that over here if i. Can get around my motorcycle. I do there's my double-disc it auto disc. Powder measure so all it is another. Set of four desks and some hardware. Small baggie of hardware so that you can. Run a double dose if you will of powder. And of course i have my different dyes. Over here so this is my two to three. Remington die set comes with a full. Length sizing die seeding die shell. Holder and powder measure if you want to use the gas at it version of measuring. Powder with the scoop as far as i know. It's only accurate with certain types of powder I've been reading the book and it. Says it should be good with most powders but some powders are denser and some are lighter so you know i probably will go. Based upon weight and probably won't use. The powder measure at all and it also has the factory crimped die which was important to me to have and. Then i separate lea bought this rifle. Charging die you know it's a powder through charging. Die since the full length sizing die is. Not a powder through die so that's my. Setup to get started loading five. Six and two three I'll show you guys some more video of this once i get it all set up i am and i. Go ahead and mount my press and. Get it to get it set up and go in here. You. If folks just here with a quick tip for. The for those of you with the workaday lock and load and the case feeder if. You're like me you love the case feeder but can occasionally be frustrating with. Having various issues you know feeding. The cases either when the plate comes up. And the shell drops onto the shell plate. You know if you don't have this push rod. And the feed tube and just adjust. Perfectly you sometimes know the case drops a little too early or a little too late and the result of that is that it. Will land on bounce off and you know. Kind of slow you down so I've seen a couple different people, and they will. Attach a small piece of tape cardboard. Or something right here to help kind of. Catch the case as it comes down out of. The drop tube i didn't really like that. Because as the next case came down if. For instance, it was upside down or whatever instead of tape would get. Start getting bent just kind of got in the way so what i found to be the. The Easiest solution is simply taken a piece of index card this is a actually a piece. Of business card that you would print at. Home roll it up in a tube the exact. Diameter of this piece of tape and a. Piece of cardboard here put it over this over the drop tube you can see i put a. Little notch in here to cut it out for where the vblock feeds up and it feeds. Up just in there and you just slide it. Up i don't have it attached nothing's holding that on other than friction and it will stay there had it on for thousands of rounds and when the cases come down, and they. Drop down into the tube you can see that it is now entirely captured by this. Magus extended tube and pretty much salt. Any of the issues that i had with the. Cases dropping off of the shell plate so. That was very convenient the other mice. Think about this solution is that one of. The things that really bothered me with this whole feed mechanism is the time. That it takes to switch this drop tube out when changing from a smaller case. Like a nine millimeter to a larger case like 45 or maybe a rimmed case like. These 357 that won't fit into the three. Four seven so you fit in there but a forty-five case you know won't fit into. This to the smaller drop tube so you get. To work really reliably you know you have to keep swapping that out but with this i never have to change this too bad i just leave a large tube in all the time which means that i don't have to take this pivot body out which as you. Now you know in order to get this dropped tooth out you know you have to. Take this pivot body out which means. Undoing this screw at the top here which is kind of pain you have to pull this whole thing out put it back on but with this a simple little piece of rolled-up. Index card sit right on their like that. Just we've large tube on all the time and it solves any bouncing case issues. That I've had so now the only thing that i have to swap out is the inside little. Sizing piece which you don't need to. Remove this for you don't even need to take that tube out you know just drop that in when you're using a small case take it out when you're using a large case and you're off to the races so i. Hope that helps it's all the 15 seconds and it works. Great.

The key is right here this little guy. Right here needs to just barely be. Finger tight and that allows the beat block can actually move on the slider. And a little bit of slop greatly. Eliminates about a hundred percent. Eliminates but you know huge improvement. Over a problem before of keys tipping thanks for watching.

I just wanted to share a quick. Modification that i made you might want a lock and load as you can see it has the case feeder which has. Been fantastic once i got it adjusted properly and figured out exactly when to adjust all. Various settings depending on what caliber i was loading but the very first. Time that i used the case feeder i managed to break this little fiberglass. Rod that follows the primer stone and. The way that it happened was when the. Press is at the top of its stroke and if you were full of your primers you can. See that the rod would come up without there and what happened was it didn't go. Straight up but it was leaning a little bit to the side and it got caught. Underneath this lip of the case here. Right there now the result of that was a. Broken tube which you can see here i. Taped while i was waiting for a replacement just to have something following it but essentially it got stuck right under their flexed like that. And snapped because i was looking. Obviously at the cases and i was loading. Then i didn't notice that and the resistance was so slight that i didn't. Even feel that the rod was bending until. I heard it just go crunch so all i did was i took a piece of plastic i think. This might have been from an old cd case or something like that cut it out and made it so that it extends just past. That lip so now if the rod should be leaning off to that side it hits that and just rides up to the side and avoids. Getting stuck under there originally i. Had tried to construct something I'm a big piece of cardboard or something that. Can't kind of came down like this but it was ugly and just terribly realized it. Obviously much simpler solution was to do this just making sure that the bottom of it was far enough down that the rod. Didn't get stuck on me bottom side of that problem solved and. It doesn't look atrocious. In fact, you hardly even notice that it's there so that was my one quick modification to my la commode everything. Else to equal this has been a fantastic press for me I've loaded tens of. Thousands of rounds with it and if. That's the biggest problem i have well i consider myself lucky.

Gentlemen for those of you that have been experiencing case tipping problems with the hornady lock and load. Particularly with nine-millimeter luger. Z-- which is what these three shall. Plates fit i understand there may be a. Problem also with 223 s. Think it's a different plate but the result may be the same here's what I've. Discovered after working with hornady for the last couple of weeks this is the. Original plate that i received and each. Almost each and every shell that was fed. From the case feeder in tipped we i. Believe that the reason is if you notice. Right on this edge there's about a 45 degree bevel and this flat surface on. The top is quite narrow they sent me a new plate which is this. Plate and as you can see the this flat. Boss area is much wider there is still a. Slight bevel on the outside edge if you. Look at it from the end it's visible and. I put this case excuse me this plate on and had no longer had tipping problems. But two other problems cropped up it. Would not eject nearly in fact every. Single bullet loaded bullet jammed on. The ez jecht boss also i was having. Troubles with it lining up with my. Number one sizing station without. Changing anything if i swapped plates out those two problems went away when i. Put this one back on but the tipping returned so in a long. Discussion with them the other day they. Decided to send me a third plate which. Is this plate i have put a micrometer on. All the various surfaces between these. Two because they vary they look virtually identical the only differences. I found is this channel is slightly shallower in the. Third plate than it is in the second plate here and the width from. Here to here and here to here is slightly different we're only talking a couple of thousands i don't know if that's what was the. Issue or not but in any case this third. Plate definitely did the trick yeah the cases are all feeding great, and they are all ejecting great they're all. Lining up with the primer station they're all lining up with the number one sizing station so I'm not sure. Visually i can't find any differences between these and as i said i ran the micrometer across both of them and could. Not find any major differences i don't. No but the long and short of it is this one works these two don't they did. Send them to me under their warranty program I'm assuming if you have. Problems and call them and discuss it with them that you may end up with the. Same result as idea but now with this. Plate I'm happy things are working well. 44 magnum 700 grain 500 smith & wesson. Proper orientation in other words with the base down will be held up by the. Plate so it doesn't the bullet doesn't fall back down into the pile the bullets. Down at the bottom if the bullet is upside down in other words the base is up see if you can see that there what. Will happen then is the plate doesn't come up high enough to catch the tip of. The bullet so the bullet will simply slip down and fall into the batch of. Bullets at the bottom here won't make it to the bullet tube so that's how it how. It makes sure that only bullets and the. Proper orientation go into the bullet tube now as a safeguard to we have a. Couple of wiper springs these springs. Here are adjustable so that you can. Adjust them in or out and up and down and the idea being that a bullet that is. In the proper orientation the tip of. The bullet will pass under the spring so. That you know it's able to pass freely but if the bullet gets to this point and. It's upside-down the fatter part of the. Bullet though the shank of the bullet will hit the wiper spring and be knocked. Back down with the rest of the bullets in the bottom of the tub here okay so. Let me go ahead and turn it on you can. Bullet tube there's also a thin bullet tube for some of the smaller calibers like nine-millimeter this one I'll work. With 45 and 40 calibers and so on now. It's so it's easy enough to change over. From large caliber to smaller caliber. With the pistol both bullet feeder it's. A little different with the rifle bullet feeder with the rifle bullet feeder when. You buy it's set up for 223 if you. Want to use it with 30 calibers you need. To buy the 30 caliber conversion kit now. The conversion kit comes with a. Different rotor it has larger steps on. It for the larger caliber bullet has a larger bullet tube. That you need to install also has a. Larger cutoff device and it also comes. With the 30 caliber bullet feeder and. Seeding die so as you can see changing. Over from 223 to 30 calibers with the. Rifle bullet feeders a little more involved than with the pistol theater. A an arm it's basically the same. Size arm the difference is the arm for. The bullet feeder is not adjustable it's just one big piece. So if you have both the pistol feeder and the rifle bullet theater you'll want. To use the arm from the rifle bullet. Feeder the angle of the top here is. Exactly the same on both and you can adjust the height so when you're using. The pistol bullet feeder you can adjust. The height to be the same as the original arm for the pistol bullet. Feeder or you can adjust it up a little bit for the rifle fear now we. Talked about how the bullet hopper. Collates the bullets and drops them down. Into the tube here well the tube comes. Down and it goes through this cutoff. Device there's a switch inside here once. The bullets load the tube all the way up. To this point here it'll trip that. Switch which will turn the bullet. Hopper off the motor and the bullet hopper okay and down here we have the. Die assembly for the rifle bullet feeder. Now it's a fairly complex die it's all. Kind of one piece we have the actual die. Here the seeder die and then we have the. Bullet feeder extension or attachment on. The die at the top of the extension is. The transverse blocks what they will do. Is when a case is fed into the die this. Block will turn and drop a single bullet. Down into the feeder extension and drop. That into the die itself and then as. But as the ram goes up the bullet. Will be seated in the case and you have your seating adjustment up here at the. Top so let's let me go ahead and show. You how the feeder works, and then we'll take apart this. I died here and I'll show you how this internal workings work in this die so. I'm going to turn the case or the bullet to you're on the first bullet is arrived. Down here at the transfer blocks and the. Tube is filled up to this point here. Where the switch is and has turned the. Bullet feeder off then as a case comes. The die at the top we have the adapter that the bullet tube comes down into just below that we have the transfer. Block that will transfer one bullet at a time into the bullet feeder extension. And then that'll feed the bullet into. The die on the left here which we'll see. Today in the case and as the case goes. Up it'll seat the bullet into the case. And this is the adjustment up here on the tops you can adjust the depth of the. Bullet basically all you do is you. To take it apart you loosen the lock. Knob here and the two pieces come apart. Now the bullet extension here has a. Little ramp on it with a spring and this. Arm at the top of the ramp when they bullet put the spring back in when the. Cases comes into the die here it pushes. This up which then activates the. Transfer box you see how the transfer. Block moves there then the transfer. Block will drop a bullet down into the. Bullet feeder and hit this ramp and that. Ramp will drop the bullet down over into. The cedar die now in the cedar die there. The seeding stem in here is actually. Loose it kind of swings back and forth. So as the bullet comes down it will swing back away from the bullet so the. Bullet can get down into the case and. Then as it clears the seeding stem the. Seeding stem comes back to center and then as the case with the bullet now in. In the neck comes up it pushes the. Seedings down then pushes the bullet down into the case and let's teach the. Bullet so it's its unlike any other. Kind of die you probably dealt with before because of the grant and the. Movable seating stem typically they're. Not movable they sit in one. Position put it back together. I put the spring back on the rod at the. Top of the ramp slide the ramp in. Through the bottom. Then i take the die made it with the. Bullet feeder extension bring this down. And lock it all back together okay so. That's really all there is to the. The die assembly it's basically designed. To drop a single bullet in to the feeder. Extension hit that ramp the ramp will. Cause the bullet to come down into the die and then as the case goes up it. Comes in contact with the seeding stem and seats the bullet so it feeds the. Bullet and seats the bullet all in one step in one die on the pistol cedar. Which we'll see here in just a few minutes the bullet will drop down into. The case in one state you know on one. Station on the press and then it'll move. To the next station where it'll actually be seated it's a two-step process with. The rifle bullet feeder it's a one-step process, and we'll see the rifle bullet the feeder in action in another video. Come that's coming up on loading rifle. As the rifle hopper the big differences are external one obviously the. Tube here is much wider than its. Accommodate the larger caliber pistol. Bullets it's got a little hanger here to. Hold the tube up so that it doesn't drop. Down and it's able to feed the bullets properly and the bullet feeder die is a. Little different it's not it doesn't have the extension on the side the both. Peter die only feeds a bullet it doesn't. Seat the bolt as well you'll notice I've moved the cedar die over to station five. And the bullet feeder die is in station. For so we can continue our. Reloading process with the 45 auto with. The 45 auto feeder die installed now you. Need a the appropriate feeder diet for each caliber this one's for 45 calibers. They also have a nine caliber or a nine millimeter and a 40 caliber. Feeder diet this is the 45 caliber. Feeder diets so let's continue our. Reloading process from here one of the difference i did want to mention here the pistol bullet fear does not have a. Cutout switch so when the tube is full. It will keep on going you have to. Manually turn it off when the tube is. Full now when you get really cranking. Along the bullet theater your boats will. Be dropping out of the feeder fast and faster than they go into the feeder so it'll kind of even out you won't need. The cut off but i just wanted to. Mention that the bullet feeder for pistols does not have a cutoff switch. Okay let's continue our 45 caliber. Reloading session with the bullet feeder. Die installed. Pick up the case size and you cry. That case well another comes down to the. Skull plate prime it and as our show. Place fills up here I'm just going to make sure I've got the right powder charge i detected several times now but i want. To just make sure we've got five point. Six grains we're using unique powder from alliant still dropping five point. Six so we're right on track. Powder cop looks good I'm going through. The process now here's where things change a little bit with the bullet feeder notice this case has no bullet in it goes into the bullet theater and. Comes down with a bullet insert it into. The neck of the case and then as it. Comes around to station five this case. Will get a bullet this case will have this peter. Well basically on able to reload without. Having to put a new cake casing the show. Play without happy to add a new ball. Process goes much faster suppose the. Case feeder and the bullet reader installed now I'm gonna go ahead and turn on a bullet peter day is activated. And the bullet are installed and that's. Basically how the both heaters work like. I said we're in another video we'll be using the rifle bullet feeder to do 223. I'm going to go ahead and remove the. Activation bar for the case feeder so. That no more cases are fed and I'll go.
