Front, rear and roof are crafted of 68-denier polyester ripstop for high tear strength and puncture-resistant reliability. Proprietary, ultrastrong anodized-aluminum DAC 17 poles absorb punishing weather and combine with Frame Weld Pole Technology that uses side poles throughout the frame for added structural stability. Large D-shaped door allows easy entry and exit.

Vestibule has two polyurethane windows. Stove jack on fly sheet and roof fits a chimney. Included pole bag converts into a floor protector for your stove to protect your tent floor from heat and falling embers.  I’m back home. I just realized I deleted the first scene on my 10th video, so I’ll catch up to speed but to Colorado we came to about 9000 feet try out the wood-burning stove with the new stove jack installed so here all right. We’re the team cutter Scylla. We burn stove first. We got silicone mat. There’s a second one.

It’s a forty-six outside. Right it seems way hotter. I’ve got a couple little thermometers here. They give you the minimum and the maximum temperature but take the battery out and pop back in for the night out – one outside, one inside. And we’ll see what happens mainly worried about condensation on the tent because before this was all open.

Outside the tent was wet but this was dry, so we will find out supposed to be down to 25 tonight which doesn’t seem that cold out there. Right now sup that’s the following morning plan to get out here before Sun comes up. Let’s get real windy around there 562 right how a 79 low in the 1054 not setting down here, lows little thing because it’s why we’re rule.

You seem you can understand how sound look at that 32 now with the 32 now. 50- 65 high was some shine on yesterday 30 for a low. I’m not really got cold enough to use as a stove but stayed going real good that kept it toasty inside there.

You go the wood-burning stove in the tent with the new stove Jack worked perfectly. It should it came like that.

Hey guys! I want to welcome you back to the channel. My name is Justin and you’re watching Survival Mindset. Today we’re going to be reviewing the Cabela’s 13 by 27 black neck then. So follow me around the tent, and then we’ll get a sneak peek on what’s inside the tent.

How much room you do have? These are incredible tents, they’re excellent for any kind of harsh weather such as rain and snow. Here’s the front door of the tent with a hood over. It’ll keep all the snow and rain from you. Track it inside the tent and then coming down the right-hand side. This is 27 feet long right here so you guys a lot a room in this tent.

Now we’re looking at the window. It does have Leno, you’re gonna unzip this part right here. You can roll the vinyl up. So, what the vinyl looks like? The material on this tent is 250 deniers. Above here you do have a spot for your chimney. So yes, you just zip that down.

You can reach if you’re 6 foot tall. I can barely reach it. Here’s the top of the tent let. These windows are incredible because of the fact they have hoods over them. You got snow coming down here. It just sheds right off these hoods. This is the window. These windows are approximately four feet long here’s. What it looks like underneath? it’s right this kneeling down and I’m showing you the first window right here.

Another thing I did forget to mention is these windows you have them zipped down. It allows natural lighting to come right through into your tent. You have that window. Iwas just talking about right there. Another 4-foot window here as well. And then you have another window right here with the vinyl here is the back side of the tent guys so yes.

You do have this back door so. You do have two doors. How awesome so you got a back door right here. You got plenty of room for everyone. This makes an excellent Huntington camping tent. What have you so look at. That inside the cabala’s alack knack tent the 13 by 27. You guys probably want to know. It is a good tent for humid weather well first off. This tent does not sweat at. Islept in it overnight it’s an excellent tent there are two large doors. One in the front one in the back the floor plan is excellent the footprint on. It can sleep up to 11 people inside. This tent the height in. This tent is coming in at 9 feet 8 inches. It has full down shelves with cupholders gear pockets. This is a high-end Outfitter 10. This 10 is outstanding and has lots of room. It has heavy-duty 10 YKK zippers there are screen doors so. You can let the cool breeze in. And also to keep the bugs out. This is a rugged waterproof 250 deniers it’s an excellent breathable tent it’s UV ray resistance.

And has high tear strength. That is resistant to punctures for long-lasting so. This tent is not gonna have. Any puncture marks whatsoever. It does have a high denier on. It the windows have zipper covers in a clear vinyl window. And the clear vinyl window is excellent for this letting like natural lights in your tent as well. They have excellent ventilation screens on them as well the floor plan also has a zipper compartment. You can put a stove. Irecommend a stove. Then like a mr heater for sure. Now there is a couple things. Iwould be buying for this tent in the long run such as the Camp Chef wall tent barrel stove kit it’s an excellent item to have. Than like the mr heater as well. You guys can see I do for Cabala’s outfitters XL with the pivoting arm. These cuts are 85 inches long 40 inches wide. And 19 inches high it has an excellent sleeping area of 80 inches long. And 36 wide you can throw your gear on there. You can also be sleeping on these cuts they’re.

That big they do hold up to 600 pounds. It has an aluminum frame. And 600 deniers I have revealed. These cuts in the past so check out my other videos on the Cabala’s XL their outstanding cots. You just have to have a big tent in itself in order to use. These cuts but the cots are heavy so. If your car camping or at a local area. You will be hunting these are the ideal cuts to have. Ido want to thank you guys for tuning in to the channel. And checking out my review on the Cabala’s alack knack 13 by 27 10 have a great day peace out you’re watching survival mindset.

All right this is our new Cabala’s outfitter use ultimate alack neck 10 to 12 by 12. Me in the boy about maybe 35 minutes. Or so to set it up it’s fairly easy just took our time it’s pretty straightforward. One person could set. If they wanted just started raining well. You can see that a rainbow that’s kind of cool so but anyways let’s get out of the ring go inside okay so. We also have the Alaskan guide cuts. And the Alaskan guide ground pads what’s your pretty nice two. And a half inches thick self-inflating real comfortable. This tent some of the features. It has real big vents on. Each side there’s ventilation up top. You have the front door zipped there’s a vent right there. And then you wanted. More ventilation you could actually unzip the clear windows. And there’s bug netting there so. You could have actually. More ventilation and then. This also get one fold. You can block that window. You want has the fold down drink holders. And accessory pouches. Whatever you want to stick in there. These cots are actually the deluxe cots Alaskan guide deluxe. They come with this little pouch deal. That goes along the bottom. And as your little water bottle holder. You can stick and store. Whatever kind of stuff in there.

You want it also came with the little rack little coat rack. Whatever you want hang on. It your camera something it just velcros on. It doesn’t seem like. It would be pretty sturdy but. Ithink it’s sturdy it’ll hold your jacket. Whatever you throw on there but. We also got with this tent the floor protector which just hooks up in the corners. It just lays right down on the floor there. They recommend you have cots so naturally. That but also there’s. This spot here for a stove. Ithink I’m going to get. One just so this tent. We did a lot of shopping online. And was looking at a lot of pictures. And there was a couple of videos but couldn’t really get a feel for it so. And the boy we actually drove up to Cabala’s in Nevada at boomtown. You know that’s because California sucks. They don’t have a cool place to like Cabala’s to go so that’s. What you got to do you got to. Either order stuffs online. Or take a drive so we took a drive. They actually had this tent set up outside.

It was a pretty easy decision to make lots of room. And the reason this tent was for. That was for room and a little bit. More comfort the back of the expedition was not the best so. We have nice comfort features. And a lot of space this tent is so nice. That my wife even wants to go camping now. She laid down on that cot in the ground pad. She was like oh I can go camping on. That so we’re gonna get her a cot. And a pad and probably. Some fancy highfalutin sleeping bag. That she’ll want but we’ll get. And we’re going to take her up on. That so that’s a that’s a good thing for us but anyways the boy was real excited about getting the tent.

And so we’re going to do. Some urban camping here in the backyard. And he’s he’s already to go so it’s a nice tent it’s a little expensive but. You compare it to other tents. And the same caliber well actually. Idon’t think there’s. Anything else out their in. This caliber this is definitely in a class by itself as far as I’m concerned. And the price yeah it’s worth. It so buy and press your wife, so she’ll go camping with. Or maybe you don’t want her to go camping with. It works out so thanks for watching.

Hey guys! Thanks for watching again. I’m doing some cleaning. As you can see, so one of the things. I want to talk to you about, I talked about in my original video. I shot the I went camping was to weigh the mistakes versus the tent well. I might’ve exaggerated just a little bit so I wait the stakes way 25 ounces each.

Not all of them. Each they’re really heavy all of them together. That’s about 40 ounces which equals two and a half pounds. The tent all by itself nothing else no poles no center poles just a tent itself. Where the BB back it’s at eight point nine seven ounces weight 140 35 ounces which is eight point nine seven pounds so shy of nine pounds so. I remember that’s including the beauty so the baby itself. Idon’t know give it a couple ounces four. Or five ounces so probably the tip itself it’s about eight. And a half pounds then. You got center pole. And then the 4 pulse level. What I was trying to do is. Iwas thinking of going with the re. Imean groundhog stakes they’re a little expensive but then it’s like 22 hours.

And fifty cents for one so. One is going to cost two dollars on fifty cents which. Ithink it’s a little bit expensive it’s better anyways oh there’s a 16 16 of those steaks. That come with the tent so yeah so with the rei crown pox. They actually waypoint 35 ounces for 16 you’re looking at five point six ounces which in pounds equals point 35 pounds so 16 of those. That came with a tent was two. And a half pounds 16 of those for 16 rei groundhog stakes 16. Or way point 35 pounds which is not. Even half a pound and there are six inches long. Iguess, so I went with the reiI’m saving almost 21 pounds off the weight of my backpack whichI’m thinking of doing I might pay the price but again. You want to be conservative. You have a bubble bag. Or a backpack you go hiking because the less weight the. You can travel the less red stops the less water. You have to consume the lice exhauster you’re going to be. You get to camp and you’re going to have. More time to set up for tent go hunting if.

You have to go get water things like. It also really heavy. Iwish cabala’s can do. Something about them hopefully they’re watching this video. And they’ll do something about the six heads. Ithink they’re too heavy personally the other thing is. Iwas thinking of going with the plastic ones from what’s a one-word brand Oh what’s a Walmart brand. All right I had to. You a pause and go look for it. I didn’t I was going to drive myself crazy Coleman stakes there the yellow ones. You can buy from Walmart. Ithe only promo you have with those type of steaks instead like with. If there’s a rock underneath the ground you’re not going to see. You start pounding it really hard. If it’s plastic it’s going to break with. These the worst case scenario it’ll Bend but that’s about. It so with the yellow ones they’re also lightweight but. We hit a rock it really hard it’s going to break. That steak and a half so. Now you’re not going to have a steak so that’s.

What with the rei I through they’re made of aluminum. I might be wrong these are think are made out of steel I’m no metal s expert but so yeah I’m gonna go with the rei soon decisive up. More money again you guys want to continue watching this reviews continue watching product reviews continue watching you know field test reviews please subscribe thanks for watching.

Today I’m gonna go over my kodiak two-man tent. You guys know I prefer the spring bars over the Kodiaks but in the big tents. That is true but in a two-man. Iactually prefer the Kodiak over the spring bar. And it’s pretty simplistic reason the Kodiak has a bigger top the roof is bigger. And the spring bar comes to a curve over here comes to a lot. Sharper curve it actually comes up like here. And doesn’t give you as much room in the top so. When I’m by myself I don’t have the wife with. And I’m on the bike. This is the tent all know. Ilove my canvas tents but. This has got the my Alps mountaineering pad in. Ilike a few things about. This tent number if it’s raining you can still have the side windows open it’s got front. And rear doors it’s about 85 by 6. Ibelieve is what it actually measures out to be. Now a lot of you guys will be like well don’t to make my motorcycle tents. And yeah they do but my biggest thing is. Ineed a tent that will not fail. And that’s why I use a bigger spring bar. We have the trailer which is right over there. When I’m by myself I use a small Kodiak. Now the Kodiak they have the metal at the bottom here on the — man.

They don’t have the rope across on the edging of the floors like the spring bar does. You remember I said I’m not saying anything else is a bad tent the Kodiak doesn’t make a bad tent. Ido prefer spring barn to bigger ones but I’ll tell. What this is a tough little tent. You can easily fit a queen-sized in. Iknow there’s another video. Where they’re comparing it. Another tenth and that’s just a crap video. You put the Marmot next to. It would hold up in the wind just as good but. This is a strong tent. And it’ll take a lot to blow. It over so when I’m out on the road on the bike. Ineed a ten I can depend on. This is the I use hopefully.

This helps and thanks for watching.

It out new tent 10×10 Kodiak Canvas Its the Flex-Bow VX so. It has the nice windows on. Either side It is super sturdy Its. All held toge– Held up That 2 support poles. And 16 tent stakes Its got a door. And a window on either side Ugh Look at. That nasty ole back porch Its very nice uh See that? YKK very sturdy YKK zippers Ugh oh god sorry Its the first time putting it up its a little crooked Take a peek inside Its ah its very big inside The windows have overlap which is kind of nice so. You can crack while its raining Look at. That very nice Ugh Yea so 10×10 its got the little gear holders All kinds of attachment points This. One came with a big very big gear loft. And also has like an accessory hanger Ugh Look at those nice reinforced corners And. This Man! Y’all! this feels like a kiddy pool. That kind of material Super thick It is not like normal tents Not not Not — Yea not like them at. All Sorry I am super winded still gettin’ over having the flu Heh So of course. Idecided to put up a tent today Jeremy’s at Wal-Mart getting the ah a spray attachment for the hose so. We can season our tent Look at these big windows Ooahh And. All have that (flap). You can roll and attach. It with the toggle Hope. This isn’t making y’all seasick I’m not the best cameraman in the world See.

Ithink it’ll be cramped with a queen in here uh coming out. This way gosh that would probably be like taking up almost. Everything But Yea that would probably come out Right about there That’s okay though!. Imean You don’t need. That much room And it ju- golly — just. How tall this thing is Its probably let. Me get on the ground 6ft 6in. Iwant to say is what they said the height was. Ireally wish I could get a better — Get. You guys a better sense of how big. It is cus I was really worried about. That Super worried about. Iam short But I was worried about. This angle right here. How much it would cut in But. It really I mean its very nice.

You maybe were like a family of 4. Iwould definitely recommend the 10×14 You’d have a little bit. More room But y’all know. We glamping over here at Sherwood. We gunna be glamping up at Sherwood As good as. We can anyway With 8 weeks Yea. This is so sturdy Oh! You know. Ishould probably mention. That whole “seasoning” thing So y’all are probably wondering “uh. You mean by that?” So basically. You ah hose the canvas get. It soaked And it will expand. All the canvas fibers. And then it dries it’ll contract so everywhere. That there was stitching done. These holes — you can see em — they’re going close up God damn Ya hear that? It is like a drum Its taught Jesus Sorry I’m amused!. Imean just the quality of. This It is golly its so nice. They have this overlap Its really gunna be helpful for if its raining And y’all know its gunna be raining at. Some point I mean but that’s — that’s gunna be so nice! And the ventilation HHH! Oh yes! Dat’s lovely But anyway This video’s gotten long We’re at 6 minutes.

Isuppose I could go ahead. This But yea I am stuffed into the corner Its got beau coup room It is very nice guys I’m super excited to see. How well it holds up for Sherwood Alright Chat at ya later Bye.

What kinds of tents are there by purpose?

So, you have already planned your vacation, it remains to buy a tent. Where to begin? Start by answering the question “Where are we actually going?”

A camping tent is a large, spacious canopy that is convenient to take with you when traveling by car. Suitable for a summer family trip somewhere in the forest for a few days. Some models can stand upright and accommodate up to 6 people. But hence the disadvantages: it weighs a lot, and in the cool season it is more difficult to heat it because of the volume.

A trekking tent is a compact, temporary shelter that is convenient to carry with you on short hikes. Lightweight, easy to transport. It will allow you to spend the night with relative comfort, but will not save you from strong winds or rainstorms.

Camping tents offer better protection from driving rain and wind. They are also comfortable to wear on long hikes, but mostly on the plains.
If you are going to the mountains where you can meet almost all types of bad weather, then it is better to immediately choose an assault tent (they are also called extreme ones). Heavy-duty, reliable, made of durable materials, but very lightweight. They are not afraid of strong winds. For the sake of quality, you have to sacrifice something, and this is living space. It is sometimes difficult to fit even one person in assault tents, less often you can find two-seater models.
