It that's the deal Evan oh yeah. That is a good one right there. You choke that babe. That is true and that's. Something that it's kind of unique to. You know the red eye shadow at. It of course the spade Hauser — is. That that's really so the shimmy the best fall. You call I mean that's that's. Something that's unique just to. That baby I mean there's a ton of lipless crank baits in the world but that's. Something that. This design the way it's made. It just doesn't better yeah. You kill this faith it's gonna do. And other lip especially told. Me himself out there. And talking about the red eye shadow. Whether it's the quarter ounce the half ounce the 3/4 ounce in the regular red eyes are the new tungsten to tap. And half ounce all have. One thing in common. One thing that sets them apart from the competition. You slack the line it falls on slack line. That baits gonna stay horizontal scan a shimmy on the fall. That allows you to really work a deeper water column it's not just a cast. It out winds it in bait. You can yo-yo it falls back down almost like fishing a jig.
Or a plastic worm and with the rattling and the shimmy on the fall specially in colder water temperatures it'll really perform. More important than Italy series. All right fine these have been so barely hooked today I'm hoping. One is at least he'll get he's choking over. It easy on that troll buddy. Imean he's choking it. Ican't see the baby that's the way. You want to be right there look at. That tungsten tooth out. All the way down a throat. We just had to come in here later. You know like and their mood has changed. We came through this little creek earlier Phil lost a five pounder. You know a good three. And a half four pounder we'll come back. And let him just choke on. What this is a good day. You know we're we may be here at Rayburn a little bit too early to make. It shines but this is gonna be a star for us right here that's the tungsten to tap nice.
All know one right here the strike king red-eyed shad. And really is there a bait in the last five to ten years. That has caught more bass throughout the country then a red-eyed Shadwell new for 2016 the strike king red-eyed shad tungsten to tap. And really it's just a much different duller sound with. That tungsten in there. If you're to take both baits. And put them up really. What you're gonna be able to do is give your fish give your school of bass a much different sound we've. All pretty much just locked the red-eye shad the regular red-eyed shad in our hand. And gone well the new tungsten to tap really is an alternative to. One of the best baits out there the regular Strike King red-eyed Chad the new Strike King red-eyed shad tungsten to.
Ifeel like I'm playing the maracas hey. These are my straight King guess Elevens get your own.

It at high speed up to 17 knots so 10 to 12 knots is not a problem at. All why does it get a good look at a bait oftentimes coming and going the color change technology is. What triggers our strike anytime I'm working a spread I'm always going to have at least. Or two of these baits in. It comes in two sizes. And a multitude of colors. Ipromise if there's Wahoo's around. They will absolutely smash. It at a high rate of speed yo Zuri.

Hey what's going on guys so. Ispent so long since I've done a review. Itook my family on vacation out of town for the last week. And a half, so I've been gone have been able to be around YouTube a lot so a lot of your comments. You guys have commented on my. All my videos I'm going to be getting to those here in the next couple days. And start thumbing through those so sorry. Ihaven't gotten back to. You guys but I'm gonna push out a couple reviews. That I've been wanting to do for the last. Few weeks so the first. That I'm going to do is a striking red eye shadow for some of. You guys this is a really long way to review. This is a very popular lure probably the. Most purchased lipless crank bait right next to the xr-50 by Excalibur, so I'm going to go over my thoughts about. And just tell you a little bit about. This lure alright guys so the Strike King red eye shed you've got two different versions essentially at the red eye shed. You order there were their website they've got a PDF file of a catalogue. They show a silent red eye shadow which only comes in a half ounce version. And then they've got three sizes in the rattling version. We have the rattling version so the first smallest size is a quarter ounce version so it's two. And a quarter inches quarter of an ounce variable diving depth sinking lower the next.
One is the half ounce version which is probably the. Most popular not only in the strike team version but probably in. Any lipless crank bait. That two and a half inch sized half ounce seems to really get the job done for a lot of people so. This is the half ounce version two. And a half inches like. Isaid half ounce verbal dive in depth sinking noir. And then they have the big. One which is a the three-quarter ounce version so it's three inches three quarters of an ounce. And again variable diving depth sinking lower let. Me go ahead and show. You guys the measurement especially since. Itend to forget this a lot my measurement is saying about 2.
And 5/8 of an inch so it's right around. That two and a half inch size. Whatever you guys um. You guys like phishing those half ounce size. This is the is that that average size for a lipless crank baits. This is the that. Most people are going to buy here, so I'm going to go over the rattling system inside of. It a little bit I've got my light here to kind of show. This is a this one's called Japanese shed let's see just make sure yeah. This is Japanese shed. Ibought this just so. Ican kind of see through. It to kind of show you guys the inside of. It here, so we've got we've got two different chambers here I'm going to try to focus.
You can kind of see. It we're going to do the best. We can but you can see you've got you've got. This baffle here on the inside. And you've got that that partition is separating the two chambers so you've got the chamber in the middle here. That has about eight. Or nine looks like lead balls. And then you've got a chamber in the back. That houses looks like only three balls in the back. And then you've got a chunk LED weight here on the bottom. And a chunk LED weight here on the top as far as rattling systems goes it's not the loudest rattling system I've ever heard for four lipless crank baits. This is a one knocker. Iin a in a xr-50 but. Ijust wanted to show.
You guys that's not why I didn't show. You guys for the rattle. Iwanted to show you guys for just the comparison from side-by-side but I'll show. You guys what it sounds like versus like on the Bill Russell. Something like or not Bill Russell excuse. Me I'm Bill Lewis cheese basketball on my wine so those are bill Lewis. And there's a striking so. You guys can kind of see. What I mean by the fact. That it's not a it's not the loudest lipless crank bait out there but it's going to kind of tie in to whatI'm going to talk about here in a minute the outside of the bait tends to not have. It doesn't have a lot of features on.
It it's its a it doesn't have. Any scales on it has a very subtle Gill plate on. It does have three-dimensional holographic guys. They call it a red eye shadow. You can see one has a red eye but. One has a silver holographic guy, so they've got uh. II haven't had any problems with. These hooks they're not the strong soaks. They do yield very easily to pressure from my finger here setting your drag on your under reel will help alleviate the issues possibly. You might have from hooks. You can just change them out. You don't like them but I've never really lost fish because of. Because of the fact. That the hooks failed. Anything like that maybe on a great big giant fish. If you're out there fish hunting for. That ten pounder with a lipless crank bait. You might want to change out those hooks to. Something that's a little stronger um here's the thing.
Ireally really like about. This thing it's not the rattling system it's the it's the shimmy on the fall a lot of people talk about. This unique shimmy that has on the fall out. That compared to a lot of crank bait. Or lipless crank baits out there. Some of them have a really subtle. This has a really nice controlled shimmy on the fall. When it's falling when it's falling down it's got like a really nice shake on the fall. It falls down at a medium speed. You were to buy this crank bait. You were to be somebody. That just kind of likes fishing with lipless crank baits. You have all sorts of them. One would have a good spot in somebody's tackle box because of the fact of.
That has that unique shimmy on the Follett's it's. Something that should be exploited. When using this lure meaning. You throw this lure. You should be making sure. It has a lot of time to fall down. That shimmy I think would be. Something that could catch. You a lot of fish when other lipless crank baits won't mean. You were throwing it out there. And just letting it fall. That shimmy one does probably does. It ten times better. Than other ones out there. It is its a it's a subtle shimmy but. It very well these big chunk lead weights really help keep. This thing controlled. While it's falling it doesn't fall over. And on its side it doesn't go forward. Anything it falls straight down. It has a nice flutter to. And I'm thinking something to do with.
This design of the body. It looks almost by accident but. You can kind of see. How towards the back here it's a got almost like a sharper edge compared to the belly which is nice and fat. And then you've got. Another kind of pushed in sides here right. Where the hook hanger is. They designed that shimmy into. This lure so that way. It falls it'll go like it'll do. That nice little flutter on the way down. And like I said it's. Something you should exploit. You are using this lure as. You can see on the top it's got a an oval split ring something that's very overlooked by a lot of companies is. That oval split ring for me. Ithink it's really nice to have. It especially when you're tying difficult knots. Or knots that are really involved. They tend to make time easier. You start tying you really have to keep track of where the breaks are in the split ring so that's.
Something that's really nice casting it's got average casting for a lipless crank bait it's just average for any other bait in your tackle boxes probably again a lipless crank bait is probably just going to be your best casting lure. You have it has a nice vibration that's felt really well in the rod tip. It stays true when you're running it on a medium to slow retrieve so meaning. When it's running through the water it'll stay true on a medium to slow retrieve but. You start jacking it through the water really quick it's going to start turning over on. You so it's probably not much of a burning crank bait I'm sure there's people out there. That have caught lots of fish on them.
All is burning but it wouldn't be my number. One choice for burning crank bait so let's go up with. These colors we have here like. Isaid already that Japanese shad right here then the only reason. One of the more transparent bait set. They have on tackle warehouse but it's got. That shad not the shad out but the chartreuse dot here on the bottom. And it's just an overall Brown slightly transparent crank bait here it's got a silver kind of pearl belly. And nice-looking bait probably wouldn't be my first choice of a color for a lipless crank bait but again that's not the reason. Ibought it but I'm going to show. You guys anyway so here's Japanese shad next. One I'm going to show. Ibelieve is sexy lavender shad yeah we're going to go with sexy lavender shad it's just.
Another shad variation strike King does a million of these shad variations. This is just got a lavender on the top. And then you've got a little bit of a scale pattern going down the side on the top chartreuse line shad dot. And just an overall kind of a white body crank bait so should work well in those situations. You have you need to have a good shadow imitation, so they're sexy lavender shed um. Iwant to throw out. Something about this crank bait. That um people have had issues in. You know with lipless crank baits. They really get beat up. All of them get beat up. All of them on the market. Some eyes will fall out eventually on bait so. If an eye falls out on. You on a striking red eye shadows. Nothing in the world. You can always buy ones after market the striking red eye shadow so cheap. You can always just buy. Another lure all together but the thing I want to talk about is the the finishes it's its been a point of contention with striking.
That they've had a lot of issues with. Some of their finishes. That a lot of people have complained. They come off relatively easy. You stay with the more solid colors like. These like the opaque ones here with the shad imitations. These clear transparent ones. Ithink you're going to be okay. That they're going to stay on there a lot. They have an issue which a lot of companies have issues with foil patterns but. It seems like Strike King has just possibly maybe a little bit. More of an issue with. It I'm not going to throw them under the bus for it. Or condemn them for having issues with foil patterns but. You want to have a bait that's probably going to keep its finished for a little bit longer maybe. You might want to stay away from the foil pattern finishes probably. One of the most successful lipless crank bait colors is a chrome blue back. Or chrome black back lipless crank bait so.
What are you gonna do just wanted to throw. That out there for you guys. That have issues with. It's just something to be aware of so anyway does the striking red eye shadow very popular bait like. Isaid um it's really it's not expensive it's $5 so. You can buy a lot of these for not a lot of money. You lose one it's not going to it's not going to kill. And make you cry yourself to sleep. You lose that that shimmy on the fall is definitely. That should be that should be utilized. And utilized well in your tackle box so. You pull out a lipless crank bait. You know what I really want to have. Something that has a lot of action on the fall meaning. That they're not biting something that's that's being burned very well. Something that's really active so. You need something. That has a lot of fall so maybe fill the striking right. Isaid that's the way I'm going to use. It so that's the way. Ilike using this bait. Ithink it's a good bait in. That respect the hooks are okay.
Everything about the bit about the bait is just kind of average outside of. That but it's a really good bait. Idon't want you guys to think it's not a good bait. It is a really good bait so that's just my two cents about. You guys liked the video hit the like button down here over here in the left-hand corner. And sorry the video was a little bit choppy it's been my first. Few weeks, so we'll try to make them better thanks a lot of guys. And we'll talk to you soon leave a comment. You have any questions Thanks.
