That was fun oh you know. This isn't fall as just is here. What we're doing is we've had the first front come through last night cooling the water off a little bit. This is going to be a fun show. Igot a new bait to show. And a couple options for summer going into fall don't miss. This gonna be a great episode. This is hooking on TV we're not sound pop at the PI gonna take a little drive down 49 good time Prairie groom shotgun sports Columbia Missouri's premier shooting facility with the widest range of disciplines in the Midwest including an awesome 90-foot tower shooting fun for the entire family Prairie Grove shotgun sports the official lake rushing Club of hookin hunt TV hey. When we're on the road. We are officially hauled by Illinois trailer sales hitch up with them at Illinois trailer sales calm the boat yes. We got to show what we're doing here that's a nice fish okay I'm gonna show. Something because that just key to sin to. What is going on the water is dropping here my cameraman pans over to the bank. You can see that the water is definitely after summer. We had a drought, so I'm staying off the bank. What I'm on right now is a drop. Or a break right here drops off into about seven. Or eight foot of water I've made I'm throwing there's a really cool little bait from z-man it's their brand-new cross.
Ijig okay fantastic little bait I'm going to tell. You a little bit about. They may come in a couple different sizes there's a flippin jig. And then there's this power finesse jig. These were designed by jig expert David Walker fantastic design the weed guards actually cut the skirt is hand tight. It never slips down okay which. Ireally really like about. It great hook on and on the back of. It I'm putting their turbo craw trailer the elastic here. This stuff's just stretches like crazy I've had. This out on three different trips the bait still on it's its it's amazingly tough its durable. And the thing is about a last tech the. It the higher floats the stuff is fantastic.
It actually stays off the bottom. And I'll show you a picture of. That bait hits the bottom. That jig will literally just pick up. That trailer will actually pick up the jig off the bottom its. Ishould have been fishing this stuff years ago it's. More realistic anything. That I've ever seen. It comes to the baby. And on the bottom like. That actually fantastic. Now think we're doing today is not only am. Ihopping as jig I'm swimming it since the waters down. And we're trying to stay off the bank they're still coming up. Any we're gonna tell. You a little bit more about. This fall pattern because it's. That a lot of people might not do. You really need to try let's go catch. Another from sunup to sundown world's around countless years of tug-of-war that's. That is fun that is just fun that's. It just flat-out fun. You come and swim that beat like.
That it's a great design. That cool hey look at. These folks it's fish after fish. And then the trailer still on it's just fantastic skirt she's not slipping down. You talk about a good bang for your buck that's just it's very well-put-together product. Now it's time for your Nord outdoor power tip of the week hey. This is Doug we're Nord after a prayer. Another tip for you. Now we're gonna take a look at seasonings today. One of the things you want to do is know who you're cooking for why do. You guys like stuff really hot but the people you're cooking for don't watch out for them the other thing is watch out for your sugar versus your salt based rub. Some people can handle the sugar. Some people can't handle the salt again it's knowing who you're cooking for to make. That meal really special we've got a great selection. One of the things you always want to look for is just check. And see do they happen to have a little sample packs available so. You can give a seasoning a try.
Than buying a whole big bottle of. That seasoning anyway stop out. And take a look but make sure think about. It who are you cooking for when you're choosing a seasoning. That was your north outdoor power tip of the week hook up with our outdoor power source at north power com. All right hey as always. Iwant to tell you a little bit about. What we're fishing how we're fishing for these fish today okay two ways we're catching one we're staying off the bank. And we're swimming the jig out okay. Iget up to a wood or lay downs then I'm working the jig through there. And with a little cross-eyed jig right here as. You it's got that nice round head so it's easy for me to swim. That bait because of the eye placement on the bait. All right with that turbo car trailer. And here's what it looks like. All right you can see. It rights there this'll last text up is really strong cool thing about.
That the longer it stays in the water the. More boring it becomes. And the softer because I'm still using the same craw. Isaid earlier I've used. This amount about three trips. Now fantastic doesn't lose its color. It becomes or gets a lot of action in the water, so we're casting it out. And I'm swimming we get to a lay down then. Ilet the jig drop down. And then it through like a would a rep. Or jig I'm using a 7-foot medium heavy Savior rods. This is just like I said up seven foot that's the. Ilike for throwing a big spinner bait throwing a jig sometimes throwing a frog. Or a big plastic worm great stick from multiple uses. These in a 6 3 2 1 gear ratio reel with 17 pound test Pro mix. You always hear me talk about suffix elements on the show. And there's a reason for. That it's very strong it's very abrasion resistant.
And it's extremely easy to cast it's a co polymer line so that's a set up of the stuff. That we're due to using right like. That hopefully your equipment can match the same. And will tell one thing it definitely works. It definitely is you kidding me. That jig oh my goodness look at the size of. That channel cat oh my goodness. Now there's something you don't see every day biggest I've ever taught about Oh County hit. That thing hard oh look at. These folks I'm gonna get. They got this thing ate. That jig so hard I'm really just trying to get. That thing is not happy. Ihad a fish would you look at the size of. That thing you talk about a fiasco my goodness look at the size of. What I do is I just press the weed guard down like so. And then I'm gonna thread the trailer back on their okay a couple holes in. It already but it's still good just like so there okay make sure the weed guards. All the way in the skirts out-of-the-way well push. That keeper just like. That okay that will keep her hold the plastic bait on there really good. This before this is true the longer. These elastic plastics the higher. They float in the softer. They become amazing product. That baits gonna stand up on the bottom just like. That an apparently catfish as much as bats as. It lets's go back we can catch the back there's a big. One that's the we wanted buddy oh man. Need to move you need to search. You have to cover water the paddle til. Somebody has been one of those things. That have consistently caught them it's just a profile. That gets bit no matter. Where you're at that's a little chunky fish on the swimmer cast. It anywhere catches fish everywhere ever since. Ican remember being a kid. That was some type of boot tell swim bait 360 GTA is the easiest swim bait to use in my opinion. You have to do is just go get the package it's not complicated the. One bait you will see. Any Elite Pro on the Bass master tournament trail use which. You can also take somebody fishing for the first time. They can use a swim bag effectively. And catch bass on last year early on my niece sends. Me a picture they're holding a six. And a half got it on the 360. One of the key ingredients to catching fish is to find the first group of fish cover water I've got miles of things. That look good so instead of just moving along slow. This search bait I can cover a mile in the same amount of time. Someone else might just go 100 yards. You know one of the cool things about the 360 GT then the first packaging it was. All right there it's. You need it was a perfect head size for the body. That sort of thing it was easy. It was simple but hey. All know bass fishermen they've got to have. Something different so. We package up that the head size has made. Some bigger sizes quarter 3/8. And 1/2 ounce the plastic bodies. You can get them separately in a six-pack changing up the head color.
And the body color that perfect combination. You want you can have. You can customize for what works for you on. Anybody of water that you're fishing the really good swim make fishermen. That I've known kid keep. That bait at a certain depth range down deeper. Isay deeper five 10 maybe 15 feet deep. This is a new version of the 360 GT with. This bill only called the swimmer. This lip on the front of the swim bait head will help. You keep this bait down in. That depth range you want. It got really good action starts kicking the boot tail immediately. You have this resistance here. You first start moving the bait but. This head keeps that bait down there so no matter.
How hard it's not gonna hinder the action by. Any means but it's gonna keep. That bait down and in a strike zone Bob. All wet got that little search big beautiful buys then. You get much better. That here's another really cool thing you see. This hanger right here. You can put a spinner on there. You can put a treble hook on there. Whatever you want to hang on there on these longer points. These fish are schooled up sometimes adding a blade makes. More like a school of bait fish. One single swim bait out there so it's definitely. Something that adds a little. More opportunity for those guys who'd like to modify their mates oh my gosh good. Iobtained this is a perfect example I'm talking about. You know filling this bait around cover. This little wire we've guarded big fish a lot of times we'll live way back up in the cover so beavin will cast further back in there. And have some that's weedless especially the swim bait.
They don't see a lot that's a lot of time as a way to get bit. You can just get the weedless jig head version in a 2-pack so. You can use whenever. You want to would. Any of your color you want so easy to customize. You get also really ideal for fishing around grass especially submerged grass. You know I'd roll a little foil. You don't tell you guys a couple different things. That makes this so unique it's not a normal just let head jig head. Imean it's really got a lot of detail. And you've got a real 3d eye. And the hooks are good really good quality BMC hook. And the thing I really love the. Most about this is the keeper literally for your first. One minute you just rig.
It looks point in the old hole. All the way down the bait. And there's a little place. Where the hook comes out. You know with this way. This is set up its gonna run true every time. Everything needs to be aligned up perfectly. You want that swim mate to swim back to. You naturally just like a bait fish would swim it's foolproof do. What you want to see right there the whole bay 360 GT search mate swimmers. It go catch a No you.
