You I’ve tried I have to say I’m a real big fan of the stream lights I’ve tried really expensive lights I’ve tried sure fires I’ve tried really cheap ones. That we’ve all been able to snag off Amazon for $3 the stream lights have been the. Most reliable most durable for me. What I have here I’ve been kind of demoing for the last month. And a half is stream light protac two AAA runs off two double-a batteries 155 lumens on high output low output is. Iforget what low up. It is 11 lumens comes with a strobe. It also uses stream lights proprietary 10 tap system let. You a quick close up of the. You could see it is tap back here ten times. It will change your default programming for the light so in. This certain situation. You push once you’ll get a bright light. You push twice you get a stroke but. Ican set this to push. Once bright push twice. And it’s the low or push three times. And it’s the stroke. It set my way for one time is the bright light. And the second push gives. Me the strobe that way. Ican’t really see using it on low power. Ihave other flashlights with. Iwant a lower lumen flashlight but. This has been my daily carry. Now for about Oh a month. And a half these come anodized aluminum. Ihave to say this one’s held up very nicely it’s been in my pocket banging against my pocketknife for a month about a month. And a half and there’s not a single scratch on. It my only real complaint. And it’s kind of good complaint. You could call this pocket clip.

You notice the first little hump here. It is a bear to get. That in your pocket but. Once it’s in there it’s not coming out it’s not falling out I’ve lost lights in the past from pocket clips giving up bending falling out. And it’s nice to know. You know well this isn’t a super expensive light I’m not gonna lose. It easily we’ve been paying around $50 for it burn in my shop. Iwork in the shop started carrying all the stream lights. This is the c4 LED so it’s a very bright clean white. Most of these legs from their ten tap system. Iexplained it before but. You get three different programs to meet your lighting application NEADS so. You push you get your low medium. And stroke on this particular model. Although I’ve been really happy with. Then bright enough for me for my daily work which. You know when I’m working it usually involves. Either looking inside computers. Or looking inside radio systems.

Or looking inside gun bores. Then bright enough for. This particular 10 tabs is high strobe low high only. Or low high it for high strobe. Ileft them the factory default it’s. What works for me but. If you’re looking for a compact flashlight. You know you can’t beat. Something like it just runs on two doublea’s no proprietary special batteries no cr123 x’ for an everyday calorie light I’m really pleased with. It so that’s about it that’s about. Ihave for it all it’s a it’s a definite plus for me thanks for watching don’t forget to subscribe. Ipromise for you guys on Jamie time I’m gonna have to start digging out. Some of my knives and doing some nice reviews talk to.

    You guys later buy you.

Hey folks Fernando Joyner video for more survivalist. And today we’re gonna be taking a look at the stream light protac 1 l1 AAA which is its flashlight. That actual flashlight let. Me talking about the company stream light extreme light is a company. That has been around for several years I’ve known about. It for quite some time. And it’s one of those companies. That is extremely high value in terms of. That Sun a flashlight for your money. You think of high-end flashlights to think of maybe surefire you’re talking about expensive flashlights they’re good but. They cost quite a bit of money. Now surefire and Streetlight. Both provide a US Army US military with their products the difference is. These come at a you know fraction of the cost the protect. One l-1a is right now on Amazon. And I’m gonna be leaving a link below as. Iusually do is it’s going for like 40 bucks. Ithink it’s 43 at the moment. And for 40 40 bucks. Or take you’re getting a very tested product it’s on the same price range as. Some other XY companies. They send their manufacturing to China. Some of them are actually very good. Some of them not so much but here you’re talking about a company. That invests millions of dollars maybe in research development. And testing which many of these are companies simply do not. And pretty much the same price yes. Isound like a Streetlight salesperson no I’m not no. Ididn’t even get this for free. Ibought it out of my own pocket. It really wouldn’t change. Anything I just know.

What I know and extreme light is a quality a company. Now it’s not the first a stream lights a flashlight. They reviewed back a. Few years are going to review. This is the stream light Sidewinder compact -. It the best survivalist flashlight mostly. It can handle double-a. And cr123a batteries. And here we go with stream light protac 1l AAA. This is a dual fuel flashlight utilizes. Both cr123a and double-a batteries. What you see here in the package itself that’s. It comes so-and-so we’re showing you. It can handle it can take. Both of these that is from the modern survival point of view. It is a great asset it’s the ability of using new. These two in distinctively without. Any adapters any weird thing. You may lose or whatnot. It always happens yes. Ihave a drawer full of. That crap with you just throw. It in there it works. That alone makes it a very high end in acid to have in a survival situation. Ireviewed I said.

Idon’t know someone from Streetlight. They thought about I did the video. Isaid guys anyone from streamline watching this to put. This same system in. This kind of format just utilize. That ability of running is see. Iwent to 3s and double A’s in a typical flashlight. That would be a great EDC flashlight from the perspective of using anything you come across. Now the thing is one also worked with triple A’s. And let’s test one as well. We already have these two. We know work and yeah I’m gonna be ruining the surprise. Ido know that worse but. You know just showing it to. You guys you’ve Center. It there somewhat you know. Isuppose they are not advertising it as a triple fuel. It may not work as ideally as. They wish as they wish. It would I guess that’s. It but man I mean I’ve tried. Many times you impact it does not move out of place so. It does run for more for most practical purposes. It does run on a triple-a battery as well stream light protac.

One AAA yep double-a battery a triple-a battery running using the modes. All works without a hiccup think of. It again I go back to the purpose of. This channel modern survivalism you’re stuck in. Some crappy motel after a disaster storm. Whatever you know maybe you’re in Puerto Rico having been four months without power people running out of bed in a crappy motel. You find half use triple-a battery in a remote control you’re gonna be able to run. It in the same flash as you’ve been using all along with your. More powerful 350 lumens capable flashlight without touching changing a thing. That is great that is fantastic that’s.

Where the rest of it’s an anodized aluminum flashlight yep. It does have a little bit of a longer head here in terms of it’s. More of a thrower right. And that’s great I mean for a flashlight of. This size I do want decent enough throw that’s. What you get it’s a plain it’s not. One of those orange peel. And models where it’s. More of a fluorine light no. All about having good throw for the size of a flashlight of course don’t expect. You know having a terrible amount of like a thousand women flashlights but it’s very decent. You have an S shade pocket clip going. Both way so we can use. Now in a baseball cap hat sort of thing yep. It does not stand on the tail which. You know would have been nice and. It has somewhat of a strike bezel so. You can get it to use as an as a striking tool going to the modes. It has with cr123a it has 350 lumens for an hour. And 30 minutes that double-a is 150 lumens which is a be expected at an hour.

And 20 minutes so yes. You get the most lumens obviously out of the leaf tiem battery not. These ones but. This is quite decent. This is going to be. This quite similar to a double-a so from a triple-a expect somewhat of the performance. You can of course less right. Because it’s a smaller battery but it’s pretty much up there in terms of the user interface maybe there’s a couple things. They had done better. And guys anyone from Streetlight is listening and pay attention. Because don’t wanna sound like a jerk but there really is. Something you could clearly have done a lot better. This flashlight comes with a three mode option.

You basically access those by clicking on. It 10 times like it’s called ten tap system as. You just turn it works on. It only maximum output of hoomans. You turn you double tap. It goes into the strobe mode which is very defensive oriented makes a lot of sense. And tapping it three times. You go into that low mode okay so. You just turn on maximum DoubleTap strobe. And at three goes into a low mode. Now the low mode is really not low enough. What I mean by many flashlights for some time. Now come with a very low mode in terms of ah maybe a moonlight mode like. You get in your and your zebra light. That honestly guys were Peppers for survivalists that’s. What your end up using a lot that’s nice. You have and I’m moonlight mode is maybe. One two three maybe five woman stops but really with.

Or two lumens you get enough light in a very dark room. That extends the use of. This a flashlight for you know maybe a month. That would be something to have great to have here as. Ihave as that a basic setup mode. Ijust showed and then. They have another mode. That is basically a high only that’s great. Some people just want to have a flashlight. That simply turns on. And that’s and then the other. One is a high that same high. And low without the struggling basically. Iwould have loved you guys have given. That had a moon light mode in their somewhat easily accessible at least. You know figure it out just. One of those modes give. Some point a real low mode.

Where I’m getting maybe moonlight. Or maybe 10 lumens tops. Ireally extend the use of. That a flashlight for a really long period of time. Nothing else if I’m in on my last battery in Puerto Rico. And I’m screwed basically. Iat least have that low mode to use as. It is with cr123a s in my low mode for e lumens it’s just too much for a low mode. Iwish there were that sounds like morale. And Serine yet medium mode of. Some kind 40 lumens with my cr123a it’s gonna be giving me 14 14 hours with double a on low mode still 40 lumens it’s gonna be giving me seven hours eight. And a half seven hours. And 30 minutes again. If you’re gonna be giving me three modes. It would have been awesome. One of those was that included a very low mode. Some kind of moonlight mode alright. Ireally like I think it’s.

That great EDC lights especially. This ability of using pretty much three types of batteries guys let’s keep. It honest double a triple a cr123a. All work here without a problem. That is fantastic and that’s why I highly recommend the stream light protac. One l-1a a that guy’s gonna be off for now remember to subscribe take care see.

Everyone is — cat badger calm here to bring you into the gear review. And today we’re talking about flashlights. This little guy right here which is the stream light protac 1 l1 double-a I’m constantly looking for ways to improve. Whether it’s a technique for something or maybe a better tool that’s gonna serve. Me in a better capacity to. And everyday carry life for a. Icarried the stream light protac. One Triple A honestly. It did a great job in 99% of the situations. You need that everyday carry light for enough lumens to do. All those little tasks. Whether it’s looking under the seat in the car for one of my kids gloves. Or maybe in the back of the garage. Where the lights not quite shining and. You need to look for something it’s their really handy really small compact package really nice and. It worked but it lack is. That 1% albeit crucial 1% of everyday carry light ie. Ineed a light that is gonna throw beam far enough. And be bright enough in the event of concealed carry. Where actually have to identify a threat.

And address that threat to. That end I find the stream light protac 1 l1 double-a to be much better in. That capacity throws a much better beam much brighter. And to the name 1 l1 double-a it’s a dual fuel flashlight. That means is either put my rechargeable doublea’s which is really handy especially. When my kids decide. They want to borrow. This light I don’t know play around in the closet. Something or I can also throw a cr123 battery in there. What that’s going to do for me is give. Me two Max bright settings. One with the double-a being about 150 lumens gonna throw a beam a little over a hundred meters. Or with the cr123 having. That extra power in there it’s going to give. Me 350 lumens and throw a beam about 350 yards. Both of those are great honestly. Iusually the double-a just. That 150 lumens to do fine for me.

And on top of that it’s a lot easier for me to go ahead. And just charge up these batteries continue to swap them out. Than burn through fairly expensive cr123 s. Iget a lot of the stream lights. This has their tint app technology basically. You have this tail cap. You can tap it ten times. And cycle through different modes but way example. This has a strobe setting I don’t really have. Any use for a strobe setting aside from like an impromptu rave but don’t really use. That it’s consequently. Idon’t have that setting turn on. You can also have where there’s the high low being 40 lumens personally. Ithink 40 lumens is a little bit high don’t really need. That much light for most of those kind of 99% of your everyday tasks but it’s there. And burn time for that usually get between 7 & 14 hours depending on what kind of battery speaking of burn time. You have it on the max setting you’re gonna get anywhere from usually the hour.

And a half at the cr123. And depending on the type of double-a battery anywhere from like an hour. And a half to four hours with like a lithium ultimately. Though a lot of features built in. This package and with. That tin tap technology. Ibasically have it on the setting where. Idepress this it’s on full that’s. It there’s no in-between there’s no swapping through settings. Because as every day carry light. Idon’t find it convenient to have to try. And cycle through settings. Ineed a lot of light granted it’s. That 1% time going back to concealed carry but. Idon’t want to mess with. It so consequently I just keep. It on the highest setting all the time as. Imentioned the switch on. This tail cap you depress. It lightly halfway or so it’s gonna turn on press. All the way it’ll click at which point they’ll stay on otherwise.

You can press and get momentary on. And off the way this is pretty much regardless of the pants I’m wearing I’ll have. This clipped in over on my left side my off hand side. And its small enough unobtrusive doesn’t get in the way but it’s always there. It speak to that 1% of the time. You need that everyday carry light then conceal carry depending on the weather. You might not be able to conceal a weapon mounted light at which point. This is going to be invaluable. Both in identifying the threat. And assisting you in dealing with. That potential threat to. That end you are relatively limited with the surefire lights in the number of other lights. They have basically a ring around here which in effect allows. You to hold your weapon here. And pretty easily depress. While maintaining a pretty natural grip. This doesn’t have that in albeit. You can kind of make. What I find usually does a better job. He is just indexing it here being able to point out threats.

Or basically kind of modified here. Where maila create some tension use my weapon light move. It with my pistol as. Ineed too ultimately. It does a pretty good job at night throwing to being far enough illuminating enough to identify those threats. And break those shots. This is 150 lumens with the single double-a at 10 yards. This is 350 lumens with the cr123 at 10 yards the target here is illuminated at 25 yards with a single double-a battery at 150 lumens the targets at 25 yards illuminated with 350 lumens from a single cr123 battery. And here’s the target straight out in front 50 yards illuminated with 150 lumens from a single double a honestly.

This is further I would shoot especially with having a flashlight in my support hand. This is the target illuminated at 50 yards with a single cr123 battery at 350 lumens again further. Iwould comfortably shoot. Another thing I really like about. This flashlight with respect to the design is the clip. It allows me to obviously pretty much every day. And keep this clipped in my pocket but. If I’m out and I’m somewhere. Both hands than biting down on. This thing having it in my mouth about time. You wear a hat I can use the same clip. It onto the bill in my hat which point turn. This guy on I basically have an impromptu headlamp. And headlamps gonna win out. Any day of the week. You actually have a task. That requires both hands. It comes to everyday carry light. This stream light protac 1 l1 double-a has a lot of good stuff going for it especially with. That duel fuel think about traveling abroad overseas who knows. What kind of batteries are available pretty handy being able to throw.

Either a double-a or cr123 in there. If you’re looking for everyday carry light. You pick one up let. It does for your best place. Ifound price-wise amazon can find them for about 38 bucks but as always thanks for joining us at Kipp adhikam look forward to seeing you next time

Some of my knives and doing some nice reviews talk to.

    You guys later buy you.

What’s up everybody. This is a short line actually was called protect instead of PT. They are calling it PT. Idon’t know what. That is about but that’s just. What it is this is the flashlight. It uses two double-a batteries. This is the package. You can see here high output LED flashlight three electronic modes high low strobe actually not in. That order it’s actually high strobe. And then low comes with a nylon sheath. You guys I have not used. And carried and the sheath. Imake has very strong velcro well it’s brand-new. It should be strong right. It fits in there quite well so a little bit of wiggle room not super tight. You just slip and close. It does not come out. It will shift a little bit side to side but. That actually doesn’t really matter. You can only carry vertically. It has a velcro loop. You can use for your belt as well so. You don’t always you know have to take off your belt. And then slip it onto your belt. And loop the belt back in so. You can just loop it on your belt as. You are so to the flashlight yes. It looks ugly especially my mods.

Me explain the whole barrel of. This flashlight is smooth. It fills my hand quite well so a lot of purchase. Ijust wished there was. Some nerdling like you know gives. You bit better purchase. This waffle iron nerdling but there is not. Idon’t know why it is supposed to be a tactical flashlight. It definitely is the interface is tactically usable the size is tactically usable the construction is tactically usable besides the smoothness of the barrel. Idon’t know you call. It barrels yeah the outside in the back so um. You carry and pocket. Or at least I do pocket clip is not too bad. These scratch marks are from. Itry to put this pocket clip up top but it’s too wide there. And the pocket clip won’t stay on there so just. Some scratch marks do’t really matter that’s. It carries in pocket quite bit sticking out. Ido not tend to like. That but this much is in pocket so it’s not. All too bad it well for the past. Few days I carried. It rights side on my strong side in my front pocket clip to my front pocket.

Ihave not had a clippable knife on. Me at least not in that pocket so. You want to extract. You have slippery fingers. You know it just used. Some hand lotion something or. You have wet hands it’s not super good. Because the serrations are in the direction of. You know you want to grasp. It so just have to grip. It very firmly extract. It the clip is not super strong. Idon’t really mind. Because a lot of the flashlight is in the pocket. This much is in the pocket. Ijust modded some very ugly skateboard grip tape sanded l. It off just a little bit so. It doesn’t you know file away the skin. You grab it just gives. Me the right amount of purchase right. Now under that under there. It just says Streetlight PT to AAA. And yeah I just like to grab. That way it’s really ugly but. It is so much better right.

You have a tail clicky. It has a new stream like logo. It is supposed to be. Idon’t know which way it’s supposed to be an S but. Ireally have no idea. How it’s supposed to be Oh check ya like. This s L is on the tail flicky it’s black. You have momentary on high let. Me do head again high strobe. And high is 120 lumens yeah. It runs for around one hour. And 45 minutes waterproof to. One meter I think it’s 15 on low but. You can read the specs online the reviews not for. That it’s just it carries. How much this is definitely a tactical flashlight there’s a great article on the internet on a website called The Art of Manliness The Art of Manliness. And the article is I think called tactical flashlight use. You should definitely read. This article it changed my life pretty much. Or at least the way I’m looking at flashlights. Ialways carry a tactical flashlight a large flashlight.

Ican use as a baton as a kubaton cool bolt on google pan. And a small flashlight. Most likely one double-a. One Triple A plus the Streetlight Nano on my keys so three flashlights. This is a weapon if you’re intended to use. It as such everything is. This flashlight particularly. It has a hard anodized aluminum body with my modifications. It features some very nice grip. It has 120 lumens on high. You can definitely disorient a would-be attacker with 120 lumens with 80 lumens on. This stream light protac to triple-a not recommended by tactical instructors 80 lumens is just enough. One has been carried a lot. This flashlight initially. Ithought this two double-a would be the exact same light just a tad larger. Then d2 triple-a it is not it’s longer the head is designed differently it’s also smooth on the mid portion has a different pocket clip actually goes there but here.

It fits on there it doesn’t have. That line nerdling and. It has a completely different push-button. One is a little bit set in has those raised crowns on the side, but we’ll call. It crowns I don’t know the correct term I’m sorry. You use momentary on. You feel the knurling or not know the Crown’s. You know the race part. You feel it on your thumb fat with. On the button is exposed. And very hard also has momentary on same three modes very nice flashlight unfortunately a little bit too slim for me. It shifts you know. It rotates in my hand. And it’s also very smooth. It just doesn’t have. That higher output 80 lumens on high by the way on. This flashlight I am using two rechargeables nickel metal high hydride ya rechargeables from amazon com the proprietary amazon com doublea’s.

Ihave just used one layer of medical tape around. Because the batteries would rattle inside there is just a millimeter of extra space in there with just a layer of medical tape. It works very nicely I’m so nervous okay so. All well no this is the O light s 15 baton also a two double a battery powered flashlight not a tactical flashlight. Ihave separate review about. This light on my channel there are also other reviews. This is a great EDC light. You choose to carry. That way I don’t it’s too big for me for just an EDC light. Iuse a 1 double-a 1 triple a battery powered flashlight. It just fits for my users. Idon’t need that higher output as a primary. You know EDC light this is my primary EDC light. Ican use tactically. Ican’t use a flashlight. Ican use a flashlight but. Icannot legally own a gun. This should have to make do um let’s just not hope so but. Ijust wanted to give. You a quick size comparison the Olight s15 is definitely shorter.

And the construction is about well it’s a two. And a half times as good it’s much better. You have both of those lights in your hand. You just feel the quality on the Oh light is much better. Ipaid for this flashlight for the Streetlight 43 euros. It usually goes for $43 but um. Ijust wanted to get together. Then Germany directly in case there were problems. And there this is the second stream light PT 2 AAA. Because the first one had a electronics problem so the electronic was kind of screwed up from Streetlight directly quality control issue so. You had high okay high strobe. And after two to three seconds on the other model the low would change switch to the high mode just by not pressing anything not doing anything so the low mode was but barely existing for two.

Or three seconds and then. It switched to high by itself so. Ihad to send you know ordered. It from ebay from an American seller. Or Chinese seller whatever. Iwouldn’t have done. That’s because it would have cost. Me a lot of money to ship. Idon’t know they would have paid for it. Ijust stayed out of trouble. Iam glad I did 43 euros 44 bucks. You know us dollars probably it’s a great flashlight for. This is a great alternative. You don’t have the cash to buy yourself no surefire Illuma max. Any really tactical really expensive flashlights for tactical use. This is a great option um. Ipersonally like it runs on double-a batteries not cr123 s. Because they’re you know just too expensive. And it’s not economically enough.

It as an EDC light primarily. Iwill use it in a tactical fashion. You know if needed but for now that’s. You very much for watching if. You have any question please post a comment. Me a private message. Iwill try to answer. And have a good night roll tide.

Today we’re looking at what I consider to be the best compact light. That runs on one triple-a battery. And has a push button switch. This is the stream light protac. One Triple A so let’s go. Some details. You have the bi-directional pocket clip. That can clip either form. This side which a lot of people like on the streamline micro stream well. You get the same thing on. One on the business end. We have a cree xpg to emitter inside a smooth reflector. You can see you also have anti-reflective coating on the glass its kind of magenta tinted reflections. That is actually the first time I’ve seen anti reflective glass on the stream light product so that’s good news. Because you’re gonna get about 7%. More brightness for the same power consumption. And my favorite feature of. This is the user interface so. You have two modes right. It set up to start on low mode. This flickering it’s only visible on camera it’s not visible to my eyes. And then you click. It twice you get high mode the high mode is about 590 Candelas which is about comparable to the brightness level of. Us stream let Stiles Pro. That runs in two triple A batteries so.

You go for comparison. You can also either hold down the switch for momentary activation. You can press it completely to have Carson Apple. You can also program. This light with the stream lights tan tap programming feature so let. Me demonstrate that works. One two three four five six seven eight nine ten. All right now the light will start on high mode. You press it twice to get your strobe. You press it three times to get low output so. This is the configuration. That comes with by default but. Iprefer to start on a low mode for small lot like. And there’s also a third mode. You can program one two three four five six seven eight nine ten so on. This mode it’s only going to work. And hide so you want simple operation don’t. You fuss around with low modes. You can use this mode. Now on high mode this thing is ready to run about thirty minutes of battery life which might not seem. That great but that’s actually on an alkaline battery on a nickel metal hydride cell.

That I’m using right. Iactually measured. And a half hours of battery life in high mode that’s actually a lot better. Ithought I was thinking maybe an hour so an hour. And a half yeah that’s that’s reasonable I’m not gonna complain about. That is its a kind of high mode that’s pretty bright for this size of light but it’s not so ridiculously high. That it’s gonna kill. You better really fast. This light so freakishly hot. You can barely hold. It so a well-designed Apple level. This low Apple level it’s its about forty-seven Candelas according to my measurements so dimmer. Than your typical kitchen line. Something you would only use in a dark environment. You want to preserve your night vision.

Some kind of close up task. You don’t want to bother other people. That might be around. This switch the switch again compared to the stream let stylist pro. You can see it sticks out a little. And it’s easier to activate so. Some people complained. This switch was too hard to activate to make. It clicks one is considerably easier. More likely to activate accident. Ikeep pressing it you can see. That sometimes I really try. Ican make it click but. Ijust accidentally bump. It’s not gonna click on so. Ithink overall that’s an improvement over. This but still not going too far. And not making a switch easy to activate accidentally, so I’m.

Now going to show some pictures of what this light looks like in action in a dark at a distance of 50 feet. And low mode you can’t see much. This small is really too low to be used. This is but you step up to high mode. You can see that’s than enough light to illuminate. Everything around and for you to see the details of things of. That distance you step back to a hundred feet. You can still make out. Some objects at a distance you’re. Now going to see many details but that’s still pretty good for a compact light on. One triple-a battery so there. You go the stream light protac triple-a. What I consider the best. One triple-a light right now.

All right this is John with the fossil Channel. And today I got in. Some new toys multi-tools. Ikind of like the idea of a pen with. More stuff in it I’m an artist by Nature. Ido like my writing utilities my mechanical pencils different kinds of pens markers whatnot so. Idecided to combine my interest in everyday carry stuff. You could call prepping gear I’m. Iwent online I looked around at different types of writing utensils tactical writing utensils. One of the ones that fit my needs was the M&P; Smith & Wesson Delta Force PL triple a laser pen light. Ibought two I have an EDC bag. Ihave a radio go bag. These two gonna be in. Both banks so I didn’t open. One just to show what the packaging looks like. It comes with a triple-a battery which is nice. Ican replace that with a nickel metal hydride. Ican recharge that out in a field the nice thing about. That it’s got a good texture grip here in a center it’s got. Some knurling on it which is pretty good in case it’s wet out. You got to grip it does 100 130 lumens on the light color is a decent tint kind of tints knob it’s no Nietzsche 219 but it’ll do. It has a on/off and basic on/off rotation program. You turn the twist the pen here so. It goes light to laser. And then back to light so there’s no different brightness modes unfortunately not. Iwould expect to find something like. Any pen to engage the pen reading device. You simply twist the front part. And the pen comes out. You can write initials good pen so.

That is the writings black ink. It takes Schmidt p900 blacken like ink inserts. Isuppose you can change the color. You go on Amazon another website to look up the refills on. You can probably get. Some off the Internet. It might have different tip sizes like medium fine broad. Whatever I haven’t tested those I’m just using the stock. That comes with one of my reasons for choosing this Smith & Wesson pen light was. Because I’m out in the field. When my job’s is to patrol. And assist campers and hikers. And sometimes you might be caught out later in the day possibly at night. You have to do a sort of rescue. Or find a lost hiker situation. And there are much better lasers out there for marking targets. And other items on the trail but. Ifigured I would have a pen on. Most likely I don’t have a laser at an actual rescue search laser.

Or type device like. That but I figured on a pen. Ican use that as a general-purpose item. Iwould have than likely in a situation like. This laser is about 1 milliwatt it’s read the wavelength is 650 NM. And the class 2 laser products because of. That it’s not the best laser out there it’s pretty common it’s no green laser. Iprefer green personally. That picks up better in the. If I’m not mistaken in night-vision type. Or the IR scopes whatever the rescue craft is using but. Ifigured even with the little blow power laser light. You should be able to still pick. Ican mark a target with. They know what to search.

What section they can end. They can see where it’s originating from so. They know my position so. Ifigured that would be a useful item for marking my position. Idon’t have a GPS on. Me the secondary function on. This is the light like. Ishowed before I do use. That from day to day. Icarry a H 52 zebra light my on my neck actually on a small little piece of para cord with a knife a little neck knife. And sometimes it’s kind of awkward to take. That out of my shirt. And start shining light out so. This would be more of a practical device right in my hand especially. When I’m doing ham radio operations I’ll be taking notes on a pad. Ineed to see something like really quickly. Ican take and flip. And turn the thing and then. Ican see you know. What I’m looking for especially.

That night the laser function is definitely practical. And an emergency use of course. If I’m marking say a target out in the woods with my friend. Or a brother I could say. You know get set up over. This position here if I’m going over a map especially with the lost hikers. Or just in general purpose information. Ican it’s obviously. You can point you know. What we’re looking at with the laser. Ipoint on add an item so self-explanatory. It is about I don’t know the water resistance on. Idon’t remember or don’t recall reading it online. They did market some type of water resistant see. You unscrew this here the battery compartment there’re two sections. Or three rather that are connected by two threads you do see a small little o-ring here so. That indicates it could.

Than likely will keep out water the Triple A goes in here. And the light unit and laser unit is right here with the clip appears to be removable. Ihaven’t done and might not be removed out but. That is the tail section of the pen. Idon’t like you keep. It on the off position it’s kind of loose. Ican see it going on in my pocket sometimes. It gets twisted just too much do. You know pressure and just crap jingling around in your bag. Or your pocket sometimes. You can secure to bypass. That would be my one of the negative things. Idon’t like about this light is. That there’s no click. Any kind of resistance to stop. It from accidentally turning on so maybe in the future but. They come out with a new model. They kind of give it a little bit like a click. Even like a little push button type thing or probably a click turn would be the best the front part is pretty simple to engage the writing device. You turn the tip and it’s got a good resistance so. It won’t accidentally turn down.

And mark up your pocket. Or your bag whatever. Or tear a hole so you got control of. That to access the ink compartment. You simply unscrew here’re the threads they’re also lubricated which is nice there’s a ring there so. You get access to the Schmidt refill p9. Igot the medium tip here as periods. It says 703 at the tail end of. And the inside is just a holder for. That is the third part. And obviously or rather the second part of the pen. That there are third parts the center piece which joins. Both of them together the clip is okay. This guy could semi-decent retention it’ll it’ll hold up okay the length comparison for this let’s get. Another pen out over here. This is a normal everyday type of pen so it’s about six. And a half inches for the shield versus say about six inches. Or a little bit a more little less for a normal pen so it’s not too awkward to hold in the hand. And write with top a little bit top-heavy obviously.

You have the battery compartment. And the light electronics up there with the laser it’s made out of aluminum. Ibelieve it’s aircraft aluminum. If I’m not mistaken I’ll turn over the pad here I’ll go over. It again heads diameter point zero six. One point six two ounces with the battery not too bad decent weight. Iguess for a pen with multi use let’s see 130 lumens is not bad especially for a pen light. And it’s creepy to LED. Ihappen to like the x PG 2 LED. One in my old age 51 zebra light headlight which uses a double-a battery. And that’s a pretty decent light the reflector inside the pen light appears to be smooth so you’re gonna get a little bit throw out of. It but the front part. It looks like it feels like it’s plastic. And it’s got a little hole. Iguess in the center to allow the emitter to shoot.

More of a spotty kind of flood that’s the best way to describe. Imean I’ll just turn. It on so you can see for yourselves so it’s not exactly a dot it’s not a big wide flood it’s sort of like a mixture which is nice the profile there’s no weird artifacts in the in the throw here which is nice it’s kind of reminds. Me a little bit of the high quality. Iget out of my zebra light lights so not too bad that’s pretty much. Igot a off a battery junction for about $25 on sale. And it’s not a bad investment. Igot to like I said for my EDC bag. And my radio bag so. Ithink that’s gonna fit pretty well in there the lasers a fun little add-on. It works for my needs. One final thing is you could theoretically. While you’re writing and. Someone comes up on. You can take your thumb place. It on the top it as a sort of stabby kind of weapon to protect yourself with it’s not gonna be the best of the.

Iguess tactical defense pens out there but. It does offer a little bit. More of everyday use tools like a light. And laser on I don’t I’m not sure. This point would break windows. Or not but it’s better. Nothing in any situation so again Delta Force PL. One triple a laser pen light at 130 lumens aircraft aluminum decent buy 25 bucks. Nothing to really scoff at. It does the job of writing does have the handy tools the only negative thing is. That loose activation switch. Ijust wanted to see. More of a clique based. One which gives some resistance. And prevent you from accidentally activating the laser. Or the light, so I am John with the fossil channel thank.

Alaskan ballistics here going over. This Delta Force our m10 a flashlight by Smith & Wesson I’m not impressed. Iam NOT impressed for several reasons about $59 light first of. All it comes with its own mounting hardware. And it is loose in. That hardware now you might say well Chuck. You can just tighten up. These screws and you can but. It doesn’t come with. Any allen head wrench to do. That so those two screws are no good there. And tightening this up the main tightening screw does not make. It any tighter but that’s not the real reason why I don’t like. It the real reason why I don’t like. It is because it’s modes on its very first mode. It goes to strobe that’s its first mode. And yet to click it again for high then. You have to click it again for low alright. And the low is actually pretty nice and tolerable indoors but the strobe not so much what’s gonna give. Me some jitters from later tonight probably. And the high look at.

That I hit it again is inconsistent. Now it’s to the high it’s very inconsistent. This has nothing to do. It pressures it seems like. It just goes in order. Ican do the same pressure. And it does different things. And I’m clicking it they’re just. Even on the pressure switch. It goes into order and the first order always seems to be strobe. If we wait a few seconds it’ll be on strobe again no matter. What so it seems to always return to strobe as its thing it is bright is 500 lumens 59 bucks. Ithought oh this is a good deal. And I saw it at Cabala’s I’m like oh that’ll finish out my pistol project. That y’all see me shoot them channel before but no.

Iam sadly mistaken okay here’s. That Smith & Wesson flight flashlight hit on low. And that’s the strobe it’s got. It now orders playing with. It and then we have the high as. You can see there it’s pretty nice just looking at the backyard here there’s the low. And then strobe and high. Igot it out of order so. If you have a recommendation for a decent little rail mounted light to go on the side of an AR pistol go put. It in the comments below. Idon’t want to spend. More than like 75 bucks so put. It in the comments below thanks for watching guys god bless take care we’ll see. You at the range

Well hey guys how’s. It go welcome back to. This count tactical Channel today an addition to a family of lights. That I’ve already reviewed. And have actually come to love. That kind of hall-of-famers in my book. All of them and use them. All the time kind of my primaries so you’ve seen the streamline first P t1 AAA. And 2a a series now they’re called Pro tech I’ve reviewed those on YouTube. And you’ve seen the newer h l series was jumped at up to over 500 lumens well. They extended the HL. And made the HL headlamp so same kind of quality as you’ve come to expect in the protect family from Streetlight all-metal aluminum anodized construction rugged waterproof. All of those things but. Now it’s in a convenient headlamp so. Ihave to show you I’ve been using this thing for about three months.

And it’s a winner just like the other PT of protac series. Ihave had any trouble. Ihaven’t had any trouble with the headlamps so. What it is its a six point eight ounces which is a little heavy for a headlamp but. It is really recognized it’s adjustable so. You can aim it anywhere. You want while you’re wearing it’s programmable okay the first is normally high. And then you go down to meaning below so. You can do your high only low medium high. You can reverse you know their 10-step programmable stuff. That you’ve seen on the protac HL so. You have the same flashlight basically 540 lemons 68 ounces. It runs off of cr123 s in a hand lamp. It also comes with this nylon strap which is red. And black no big deal but.

It has a rubber band without a top strap for a helmet. Or just a little less flashy of a strap. You wanted something maybe in the honey. Something like that in the woods. You want to be a little darker. Ihaven’t had any problems with. This headlamp as I mentioned but. Iwill say when you’re wearing this in the woods. It is a little bright. You first turn when you’re camping and say you’re in the tent. You hit the headlamp. Or you’re camp you want to cook with. You can use your hands. Or you’re cleaning it there. You want to wear the headlamp so. You can use your hands there’s plenty of good reasons to wear a headlamp especially as a hunter but. It is a little bright. You turn when it’s totally dark outside. You know in the woods. You eyes don’t adjust the same as. You do in town because there’s a lot less light so. You may want to reverse the programming to go low medium high so. Some specs on. That the high is 540 lumens but.

That only lasts an hour. And 45 minutes that’s quite a bit of constant on glass pretty actually handle pretty. Any emergency situation pretty well then. It has a medium of 95 lemons. And then all the way down to low which is only 18 lumens. And perfect for all your little close up at camp chores. That last 36 hours so a day. And a half total straight 36 hours of. It run not bad at. You could take this thing and lay. It down in the tent. Or what-have-you and uses a little bit of a lantern. Or an overhead or what-have-you which. Ihave done before 36 hours on to replaceable cr123 s. And of course just like. Ishowed you with this flashlight. You can take the two cr123 is out. One 18 650 lithium battery which will let. You make it a rechargeable so that’s pretty cool too. You can have one of those.

One on the charger all the time especially. If you’re using it for work say. You know plumber or carpenter a seam is. Something that’s used in your hands then. You need both hands. And still need a light source so highly recommend the piece of gear is six point eight ounces it’s a little heavy for a headlamp compared to. Some pencil stuff which is plastic. And not nearly as durable. And runs on three triple A’s of so cr123 is. Some pencil stuff. You know it’s coming in at three four ounces so it’s nearly double. That but super rugged just like the rest of their pro tack line. And the price is pretty good. It on Amazon a few months ago for about 55 bucks shipped no tags of course I’ve seen them.

All the way up to 79 but you’re at about the $5560 range which is a little less. Than the handheld flashlight with the same lumens. And capability one would think so. If you’re looking for a rugged headland hand lamp. And you’re you like the stream lock name like. This would be a good. One for you the protac HL so guys as always. Iappreciate the views. And subscriptions keep them coming scout tactical. You know is a part of a three channel network with scout tactical scout prepper. And scalp hunter check them. And subscribe and like. All of them please we’re on the web at scout tactical calm on Facebook. And on Instagram and as always thanks for watching.

Welcome to the primitive life ways channel in today’s video. We are going to go over. And test out the stream light protac headlamp so stick around. We got a great show coming up well folks. Iwant to welcome you back. Now before we come back out later on tonight. And I demonstrate how well. This works I want to cover. Some features. And some of the specs. And discuss this headlamp a little bit further so. This has three different modes. It has high medium and low high projects 540 lumens medium 95. And low 18 lumens it weighs six point six ounces so. This is a nice sturdy solid system. And it’s very bright. It projects exceptionally well -. Ilike that it swivels up. And down and stays at its home base the ones. That break free from the home base end up breaking very fast especially. If you throw it in your pack. And you pack heavy. That gear will rattle around. And it’ll break your headlamp so. This has a nice solid stationary base. And that is my favorite feature besides. How well this projects. You have adjustable straps on the top on the side. And then your power button is on the side the downside to. This headlamp is the batteries. It takes two cr123 batteries those are getting fairly difficult to find and. They are pricey so keep. That in mind with the system the best way to find them is on Amazon. You can find them in bulk. And that’s the way to go so wait a. Few hours we’ll come back a little bit later on. And I’ll show you how. This works so as I mentioned before the stream light has three different modes.

It has a high mode a medium mode. And a low mode and the way. That you navigate through. These modes is for the high mode it’s. One solid press for medium it’s too quick presses. And then for low mode it’s three quick presses so. It does take a little bit of getting used to. When you first pick up the light but after a. While again like any piece of kit. You get used to it. And you become quite accustomed to. It, so I’ll first start off with low mode median hi mode. And I’ll shine it rights through. This canyon behind me. This is lo mode you can see right down into. This wash and a little bit on. This hill, so I’m standing on the hill right. Now and then it dips down into a wash. It goes back up onto. Another hill and then. It dips right back down into. Another wash once again that’s low mode absolutely. You can navigate with. It’s not bad medium quite a bit better. You can see up on that hill a lot. More and you have a lot.

Lighter and finally hi a lot brighter. Ican see quite a ways out. And I’ll get you another angle on high mode. And we’ll shoot right down. This wash alright so here. We are again this is high. You can see it really lights up. This field and that’s the wash just traveling right down right in through there that’s. That second hill right up here to the right. And then it goes back up.

This is your new fruitcake ill USB HID lamps it’s 1000 lumens for two hours. And shipped to the lithium-ion Trion battery. This rechargeable inside a head lamp using the USB micro USB cord. This also runs on an 18 650 battery. Or two cr123a features a four hundred lumen light for two point seven hours on medium. And 65 lumens on low for 20 hours MSRP is $145. And availability is April. They have a filter system yes the new filter system is unique his life is a spot the way it’s used then. You can take this filter. And come for the diffuser lens which kind gives. More of a soft flood. And also you ship to the red. And a green insert for God’s doing using it for 900. When not in use pistol’ try their own cloud.

Back today we’re gonna be talking about tactical flashlights. And specifically the stream light protac HL hey youtube welcome back today we’re talking about tactical flashlights so. What exactly makes a flashlight tactical really there’s. Nothing different about a tactical flashlight from. Any other flashlight it’s just. This flashlight that serves its purpose well in austere conditions. And in tactical environments the flashlights. That we’re used to seeing in tactical environments have gotten significantly better since the global war on terror started. Even fairly recently army soldiers have been issued. These crappy angle head flashlights. That shine dimmer than your grandma’s nightlight. And until recently even professional agencies like the FBI we’re teaching ridiculous techniques for holding a flashlight instead of having one directly attached to the weapon thankfully technology has come a long way since then in 2001. You would have seen American troops deploying with mag light flashlights taped to the end of their m16s nowadays the technology is much better weapon lights are mounted directly to the weapons. And also flashlights for combat use have gotten. More rugged more reliable lighter smaller.

And much brighter the advances in technology made to help the global war on terror can also help civilians purchase better equipment for their daily lives. These days consumers have a ton of different options as far as flashlights. That the ones from Streetlight are good offerings. They make good weapon lights. You choose to mount them to a weapon, but they’re also just good everyday bright flashlights that’ll work for any of your needs as far as pio use. Ithink being a cop the stream lights would make a very good flashlight for your duty belt. They have good battery life good brightness. They hold up very well to use. They won’t break after a daily wear. And tear also if you’re a soldier that’s about to deploy. And you’re looking for a good general-purpose flashlight. This would make a great candidate it’s lightweight it’s very bright. It works great as a handheld flashlight but.

It also works really well in a weapon mount mounted to your m4 also available for soldiers is a filter to turn the flashlight into a red lens for tactical situations so. Now let’s get into the specific of which model. Iprefer from Streetlight. And why I think it’s the best general-purpose flashlight on the market today. This is the stream light protac HL flashlight from Streetlight the flashlight is very light at five point five ounces. It makes a handy package at five. And a quarter inches long stream lights unique. And proprietary ten tap tail caps makes. It easy to program what types of lighting you want with. Each click it comes standard with the first click giving you an extremely bright spot light the second click gives.

You an extremely bright strobe. That is very disorienting and the third click gives. You a dimmer light at its brightest the 750 lumens of. This flashlight is ideal for blinding your adversary as a weapon light. This the best weapon light ever. Idon’t think so in fact. Ithink stream light itself makes other weapon lights. That are better if it’s gonna be a dedicated weapon light but for an all-around general flashlight. That works as a handheld. And a weapon light this is your best bet the tail cap among. All the other internal electronics is made to be shockproof so. That the stress of recoil. Or dropping it will not cause the light to turn off the high quality rubber gasket. That seals off the tail cap allows the flashlight to stay underwater. And be waterproof for one meter for thirty minutes.

Although it’s not exclusively designed as a weapon light there are pressure switches available to replace the tail cap. When attached to a weapon the light is much. More confidence inspiring if you’re woken up at 2:00 am then a Glock in. One hand and a mag light in the other as far as my personal experience with the flashlight. Ibought one originally. Ibought my first ar-15 in 2011. It has been mounted on my AR for all. That time and it’s actually switched rifles as I’ve switched my primary rifle the flashlight has been on the weapon with at least two. Or three thousand rounds fired through. And no damage has happened with the recoil no damage has happened with wear. And tear with the rifle being dropped dragged through the dirt. And basically abused the pro tect HL is run off of two cr123 batteries the good thing is. These are really standard. And can get in pretty easily on deployment at its brightest setting of 750 lumens the flashlights batteries will power.

It for an hour and 15 minutes at its dimmest setting which is 35 lumens the batteries will power the flashlight for 8 hours the LED. That comes with the flashlight as well as the slightly dimpled reflective cone cast a nice bright. Even cone of light the aggressive stippling the textures the flashlight makes. It easy to grip in hand. And easy to mount into a weapon so overall. If you’re looking for a flashlight. That is good in the hand. And good on a weapon. This is probably the flashlight for you it’s light waterproof shockproof drop proof. It handles recoil very well. Once again this is cast got 3030 thanks for watching my video on the stream light protac HL.
