Everyone’s I’m going to be doing a video talking to. You about how I have my site set up on. This 300 blackout upper. That I have if you haven’t seen. It I do have a build series for this during a blackout upper. Where I talk about. All the different things. That I have on here. You see how it they’re installed. And a little bit about why I chose. What I chose however the thing that’s come through. That most transformation since the initial building of. This has been the way my life has been set up. Iknew this was where. It would end up but. It took me a little bit of time before. Iwas able to get all the components to do. It I’m going to be breaking this up into two parts. One specifically about the light. And then another specifically about the light mount. That I’m using because. This is not the factory mount. That comes with this light but at the end of. This video I’ll go ahead. And put a link to the other video. And then vice versa so. That oneness so if.

You found your way here. That was obviously you already know. That so in this video I’m going to be focusing on the stream light protac rail. One which is obviously the. One attached here there’s a lot to like a lot of really high value. Ithink for what you’re getting with. This light but let’s go ahead. And show you this up close. And then we’ll talk a little bit. More about it okay so as. You can see I have. This attached to my Midwest industries rail. And the nice thing about. This Midwest industries rail is. How small it is in diameter so. Idon’t want to make. This thing super bulky. When it’s designed to be nice and tight so that’s why I have. It set up the way I do. You can tell here just again going on about the light specifically.

Because I’m probably going to get sidetracked I’m going to do my best to avoid. That it’s not super long I’ll go ahead. And put the exact like specs down here as far as length. And all that but basically. It has a very similar look. And feel and operation to the surefire Scout lights so. If you’re familiar with the surefire Scout. This is not going to be a stranger to. You everything is pretty much identical other. Than the price which is to. Me the most appealing aspect of. This light but I’ll talk about. That more later so. It will either come. While I actually come with. Both a tail cap just a regular cable cap. That you can manually operate.

Or it also comes with. This tape switch so. You have both options available to. You right off the bat obviously. You can tell that I ran the tapes which. Now the tapes which does come with the zip ties to attach. It more directly which is excellent. Ihave used my own zip ties. Because I went through a bunch of them trying to figure. Everything out so these are my own zip tie is not the ones. That came with it however. They do come with them as well the tapes which has a bunch of different operation methods the way. Ihave it set up is to do momentary only with just the main bar here the rear button is with a toggle to do constant on. And then if you double tap the big bar. You get the strobe as. You can see there on the break. Now one of the reasons. That I chose to go the tapes which is again. It gives me a lot more versatility no matter.

What hand I’m using I can access. That tape switch and I’m using the strike industries si link here. And that gives me a really good reference point to know. Where that tapes which is. Now I don’t want to go super deep into the theory behind using a light in. These videos however mainly. What I’m going to be using this light for is momentary only so by having the si link. Where it is it puts my thumb in a position to. Where it’s very difficult for me to accidentally toggle. That constant on it’s only going to be. That momentary or that strobe which is. How I want to set up personally obviously. If you are the other way around. You can swap the tape switch around do. Whatever you want that’s. How I have a set up. And it works very well for me.

One of the other things. That I like is if let’s say I’m doing daylight operations. Or I’m in a situation. Where I don’t want. Any possibility of this light going off. You can just unscrew the back here a little bit. And now I guess not enough. Now it totally deactivates the light which is excellent so again. If you don’t want to be accidentally envying your light. Or anything like that. You can just unscrew. It just screw it back in. And it will return to full function as far as the brightness of. It they do have a longer version which is obviously going to be brighter. However for me for the kind of ideas. That I’m going to be using light for I don’t need.

Something super crazy bright for me. This one works perfectly well for kind of working inside. And as well you’ll see. When I demonstrate kind of going through the shoot house here. Even just with these white walls the concept of self blinding can be a pretty significant. If you’re not in a lit room like. This you’re going into a dark room like the shoot house so. That light bouncing off of there. If it’s super bright you’re going to start dealing with self blinding not a huge deal here but. Something to keep in mind so before. Imove on I also just want to briefly mention the amount done I’m using because again. This is not the factory mount. This is an arasaka in Lion mount. It directs attach Li to the M lock. And as you can tell. It sucks it down really close to. That rail even up here. You can see that’s about as close as. You can get without. It negatively affect anything else.

And also I have a kicked back far enough to. Where because I’ve shot with. This light in this position. Idon’t know many hundreds of rounds. And I haven’t had any issues with. It totally cloud up the lens. If you do caught up the lens obviously it’s not a big deal. If you’re just you know shooting on a Sunday afternoon but. If you’re actually using this to defend yourself. You want this light being as capable as possible. Now one of the things. That I like most about. This white is the ability to use a couple different types of batteries as. You know cr123 s are very prevalent among the tactical light world. And that these this does accept. Ibelieve it’s one cr123a battery. And that’s how you’re going to get the brightest light out of. It however but to me the coolest thing is.

That this will also take double-a batteries so. If you are in a shit hits the fan situation. And you don’t have access to cr123 s you’re going to be able to find double-a just about anywhere. Or even if you’re taking the training class. And your battery dies. You know double-a batteries are pretty ubiquitous you’re going to find them anywhere. And this will run off double-a batteries. Now won’t be as bright. However it will run those double e’s which to. Me is excellent I can’t imagine a. More ideal situation as far as batteries go to be able to run batteries. That are both prevalent in the firearms community so that’s really excellent so. What I’m going to do. Now is I’m going to take. You inside the shoot house which just FYI. Iam here at Spartan training concepts we’re doing a force-on-force class. This weekend, so I’m kind of hijacked the shoot house. Now that the first day is over to use for this video.

If you guys are interested in taking a force-on-force class. Ihighly recommend Spartan training concepts over here on the west coast. And again kind of more applicable to the video I’m doing now. They are going to be doing low light no light classes as well so very applicable. Ihighly encourage you to get training but. That quick plug out of the way let’s take. You inside and show. You how this light actually works in a dynamic environment. All right so I have the light on right. Now just you can kind of see. What I’m talking about before. Istart actually showing you but just. Some idea behind why has the light set up the way. Ido on the right side is being a right-handed shooter I’m going to be predominantly shooting around the right side of cover obviously should be able.

You should be able to do. Both but as a righty that’s probably. Where I’m going to find myself the majority of the time so. What I’m going to do is I’m going to kick the light off. And actually it just based off the viewfinder. This does seem to be a pretty adequate depiction of the light pattern. That I’m seeing with my naked eye so hopefully. That should give you a good idea of what kind of lighting you can expect with your light so. When I kick this off I’m going to show. You kind of more organically. What it could look like using this light in a room like. This so the nice thing is because of the way the light is super sucked up against my gun.

Idon’t have to come around cover very much to be able to fully light my target so basically. Once they get to the point. Where my tripod is on the target my life is covering. That target as well. And by coming around to the right. Ihave a lot of ability to keep. Everything lit that is coming into my field of view which is ideally. What I want I’m going to come around the other side just. You can see me I’m going to come around the other side using my left shoulder. And you can kind of see. Some difference there hopefully. Idon’t blind the camera, but we’ll see. All right, so I had to move the camera just so. You could see this better. However you’re going to see. When I’m peeling off to the left coming around the corner buying a corner obviously my guns gonna have to kick out a little bit.

More or there’s another technique. That I’m going to show. You as well so if I’m keeping the fire I’m totally upright at. This point my res outs on the target. However I am totally laying the wall in front of myself, so I’m doing nothing to illuminate. Any potential targets in the other room so. What I can do is either kick further out. And get more of myself as a potential target to. Anyone that is in the other room. Or I can just turn over a little bit at which point. It can be a little bit uncomfortable but my light is. More or less in line with my boar. And I have less than. Me sticking out not necessarily ideal hence why again as a righty probably going to trying to come around the right side to cover as best. Ican but obviously in a house like. This that’s not always going to be an option but hopefully. You can kind of get an idea just of the patterning in here of what the lighting is going to look like I’m.

Even going to move you back around just so. You can see what the strobe is going to look like as well so from. This point I can take my light on you’ll see what’s kind of going on over here. And if I turn my strobe on. Idon’t know how well. It looks again according to my viewfinder. It does seem to be a pretty accurate representation of what I see but. Ican still come around. And see everything just I’ll tell. You around the right side alright so hopefully we’re able to get a pretty good idea of what you can expect from the Elias as far as the output from. This little light in. That other room there were mirrors the walls weren’t totally white there were. Some you know kind of plywood II type walls, so I’m not super worried about self planning in. This shoot house but again having. That mirror straight across from. Where I was coming around. That corner if I had a much brighter light. Iprobably dealing be dealing with. Some pretty significant self-winding especially.

When I was coming on the left side of cover since. This was still behind the wall. When my sights were not. If I were to take that off coming around the left side of cover I’m going to be blinding myself pretty significantly which is obviously not. Something to have fun to do but again. You can see that even coming around with my right-hand being my support hand. Ican still very easily activate. That tape switch and do. Everything that I need to do which to. Me is a little bit better. Then just having that regular kill cap but obviously there are applications for. That as well so hopefully. That gave you a little bit. More of an idea about. This light again I highly recommend. It again surefire is. Something you can absolutely trust your life to.

However for a lot of. Us myself included I can’t really afford to outfit. All my guns with surefire light full-time student. Ican’t do that stream light is giving you a very good option at a much. More budget-friendly price. That as far as I’m concerned works just about as well does. Everything I needed to at a very appealing price. And a very clean nice package we’re getting a lot with. It both the regular tail cap. And the tape switch it’s excellent. And because it has the same footprint as surefire Scout lights there’s a full after market for it include the mount. That I have so if. You want to learn more about. This arasaka mount I’m going to talk a little bit. More about it in another video which I’ll link in the bottom. And I’ll have a click through after. This video as well I’m a really big fan of. It’s very again affordable which is good. When you’re going with. One of these also it’s been very sturdy for me but. It and I’ll talk a little bit.

More about that in the next video. If you have any questions comments concerns go. And throw those in the comment section below. If you want to see. More videos like this please feel free to subscribe to my channel. And again I highly encourage. You especially if you’re using lights. Or anything like that get training support. And training concepts is. One school here in the northwest. That I highly recommend I’ve taken just about every single class. They offer to the point. Where now they’re having me help out with classes here which has been pretty fun again with force-on-force classes. Ithink I caught a sim round through my mask into the lip today. Idon’t know if you’re going to be able to see. That but excellent classes especially. If you need to learn. How to use the light which can isolate alert as I’m sure a lot of. You watch that video we’re probably cringing pretty bad so anyway. Ihope you’re able to get.

Something out of this video. And I appreciate you watching, so I’m going to try to do my best to show. You exactly how this thing mounts up it’s going to be a little bit difficult. Because this room isn’t super well lit just FYI I’m in the sporting.

Hey what’s going on guys. This chart of the Dead I’m coming at. You two real quick with a with into the video I’m coming at. You with a review for my smith & wesson M&P; flashlight. Ipicked this up for tactical flashlight. Iwanted something. That was durable lightweight. Something I cannot come utilize for mounting Toya I’m shotgun. Iwanted to use it for home defense it’s. Something like a yield utilizing my cam EDC for everyday carry. Something that wasn’t too heavy it’s still durable strong since. Icould deal you know strike. Somebody with and be okay the positive side of the flashlight is. It is pretty durable as far as. You know the strength of the casing is concerned. It is pretty lightweight as. You know it’s the aluminum alloy. It does have strobe which is the main reason. Iwanted it strobe works pretty well. One of the downfalls is. It comes with a clip on. Iwent to pull the clip off the first day. It scratched the crap out of. It character marks whatever. You can see I’ve had. It for a while so it started. Where around the edges which is fine it’s a piece of equipment so it’s going to get wore out that’s just the way of. It well here’s my issue is a. Idon’t like the little clip thing but my mother thing is. It has a bright and a dim setting on the flashlight unfortunately. This for 2 20 more times the bright will become as dim as the dim. And then you hit the fly the strobe. And the strobe is still as bright as the brightness supposed to be I’ve changed the batteries out in. It didn’t make any difference, so I’ve had.

Some issues with it as far as that’s concerned. That the bright will lose its oomph. When the dim doesn’t. And the stroke doesn’t so there’s. Something inherently wrong with. Idon’t know if it’s the specific flashlight. If I’ve got a lemon. If it’s just this model. And potato is a really expensive flashlight. They sell for 100 hundred fifty bucks. One of different sides. And stuff I actually got lucky. And found one for like 75 bucks on Walmart. Ibelieve that was with free shipping so. Iactually I lucked out. And in terms of price but maybe that’s why it is a problem with. Idon’t know I did pick up a secondary flashlight. Iactually utilize and oddly enough. Even with the issues with. One involved by the way. They also take one two three batteries which are expensive. And not as is readily defined as others so.

Iwasn’t quite as pleased with. What the one two three batteries as I’d hoped. They the battery life is not as long as I’d like them to be, so I’m. All its I don’t hate the flashlight but it’s not my favorite. Ibought you can see it’s also Smith & Wesson. It also has the same stupid freaking little clip on. These fracking clips. You can see they wrap around there on the edge really tight. You go to try to remove. These things you find a way to pry them off then. You scar the flashlight. You can’t just remove them. It back on at your whim without scarring your flashlight but. Ididn’t pick this takes double-a so. This takes two doe blaze is primarily why I picked. It is only like it was only like 30 bucks. Or so 30 or 35 bucks at academy.

It is a singular you know why it does not have. Any bright or dim settings. One brightness no stroke. You push it on the back to make. You can twist and leave. All the time you know old batteries. That had forever in my bug-out bag. Iactually have a solar-powered charging kit. Ihave a set of double A’s. Or rechargeable, so I can actually recharge batteries on the go so. Iutilize this flashlight. Ireally like this flashlight same. You know same thing it’s light. It is durable I feel like. Icould strike somebody with. And it’s okay it is a little smaller. Then its brother but. Ibelieve it impacts. More off whatever one was working properly. Ihad them comparison side-by-side for bright. And bright one was almost as bright as the brightest setting on. And the dem setting was much dimmer. This is between the two. And then of course one had the stroke destroyed option but. You know I really wanted to do. Something stupid I could do.

That kind of wasted time I’ll just pick up attack like to take care of my strobe needs but. You know this isn’t as girthy. Imean the front of the flashlight is about as bad as griffey is a weirdo flashlight on. One so it’s a little bit smaller package looking more compact but it’s much. More versatile as far as that’s concerned. Idon’t mind the clip so bad on the placement on. Idid on one Garland was really horrible. This was not so bad still it’s. Both homework really d. Ilike the cree LED as starting to get somewhere marks on. This is my everyday carry flashlight. It stays on my back my bug-out bag my EDC. And like you know I’ll grab. And I’ll throw at my bug-out bag I’ve got space for it in there. Ican utilize those rechargeable batteries so. These are my Smith & Wesson flashlights.

This is the MMP version. Iwas very very displeased with. One overall speaking how it’s starting to lose its hump with in just a short amount of time. Iwould suspect it would have lasted longer coming from Smith & Wesson. One I’m actually proud of like. Ipaid like half the price for this. Or less actually less. Then half the price for this. Idid for this I found a far better bargain out of. This picked it up at academy so. You have a couple flashlights go to academy. You know pick up yourself. This little bitty Smith & Wesson it’s a good little flashlight. These batteries have been in there for oh manI’d say at least a year. It regularly thenI’ll use. It every day we had an outage at work in my office. Iturned you know for a couple of hours straight things like. And just saw I’ve used. Several times other. You know to find stuff here. And there the parameter things. Iusually it frequently. And the batteries have been lost in a long time.

They haven’t just been sitting there draining over time. It still works great so. This was a helpful video hope. This might help you with up with your particular flashlight needs there’s. Some other flashlights out there on the market. That I’m starting to look into. Iam going to pick up. Some other flashlights. And add them to my gear as. Igo but those are a couple. Ihappen to have one hand. Ihaven’t done a flashlight with. You before so I thought. Iwould go ahead I do like the. Ido like the idea on the concept of having me a stroke. Ilike to have the SOS flash would be kind of nice little feature to have. You have to check on my buddy grifter 6 yeah. He did a couple of videos. He actually has a flashlight. That has a couple of features. Ikind of like but it was a little bit higher price flashlight. Ireally didn’t want to spend.

That much money on a flashlight is over. One hundred bucks whenever. Icould pick one up for a buck seventy-five. They had the features. Iwas really interested in which was. You know to settings of brightness. And a strobe effect. And then I was disappointed with the outcome later but. You know what you pay for it was my thought. And then till I bought. This little jewel for like 30 bucks so. This was helpful I was a shot of the Dead saying thanks for watching and. Iplease don’t forget to subscribe.

All right this is John with the fossil Channel. And today I got in. Some new toys multi-tools. Ikind of like the idea of a pen with. More stuff in it I’m an artist by Nature. Ido like my writing utilities my mechanical pencils different kinds of pens markers whatnot so. Idecided to combine my interest in everyday carry stuff. You could call prepping gear I’m. Iwent online I looked around at different types of writing utensils tactical writing utensils. One of the ones that fit my needs was the M&P; Smith & Wesson Delta Force PL triple a laser pen light. Ibought two I have an EDC bag. Ihave a radio go bag. These two gonna be in. Both banks so I didn’t open. One just to show what the packaging looks like. It comes with a triple-a battery which is nice. Ican replace that with a nickel metal hydride. Ican recharge that out in a field the nice thing about. That it’s got a good texture grip here in a center it’s got. Some knurling on it which is pretty good in case it’s wet out. You got to grip it does 100 130 lumens on the light color is a decent tint kind of tints knob it’s no Nietzsche 219 but it’ll do. It has a on/off and basic on/off rotation program. You turn the twist the pen here so. It goes light to laser. And then back to light so there’s no different brightness modes unfortunately not. Iwould expect to find something like. Any pen to engage the pen reading device. You simply twist the front part. And the pen comes out. You can write initials good pen so.

That is the writings black ink. It takes Schmidt p900 blacken like ink inserts. Isuppose you can change the color. You go on Amazon another website to look up the refills on. You can probably get. Some off the Internet. It might have different tip sizes like medium fine broad. Whatever I haven’t tested those I’m just using the stock. That comes with one of my reasons for choosing this Smith & Wesson pen light was. Because I’m out in the field. When my job’s is to patrol. And assist campers and hikers. And sometimes you might be caught out later in the day possibly at night. You have to do a sort of rescue. Or find a lost hiker situation. And there are much better lasers out there for marking targets. And other items on the trail but. Ifigured I would have a pen on. Most likely I don’t have a laser at an actual rescue search laser.

Or type device like. That but I figured on a pen. Ican use that as a general-purpose item. Iwould have than likely in a situation like. This laser is about 1 milliwatt it’s read the wavelength is 650 NM. And the class 2 laser products because of. That it’s not the best laser out there it’s pretty common it’s no green laser. Iprefer green personally. That picks up better in the. If I’m not mistaken in night-vision type. Or the IR scopes whatever the rescue craft is using but. Ifigured even with the little blow power laser light. You should be able to still pick. Ican mark a target with. They know what to search.

What section they can end. They can see where it’s originating from so. They know my position so. Ifigured that would be a useful item for marking my position. Idon’t have a GPS on. Me the secondary function on. This is the light like. Ishowed before I do use. That from day to day. Icarry a H 52 zebra light my on my neck actually on a small little piece of para cord with a knife a little neck knife. And sometimes it’s kind of awkward to take. That out of my shirt. And start shining light out so. This would be more of a practical device right in my hand especially. When I’m doing ham radio operations I’ll be taking notes on a pad. Ineed to see something like really quickly. Ican take and flip. And turn the thing and then. Ican see you know. What I’m looking for especially.

That night the laser function is definitely practical. And an emergency use of course. If I’m marking say a target out in the woods with my friend. Or a brother I could say. You know get set up over. This position here if I’m going over a map especially with the lost hikers. Or just in general purpose information. Ican it’s obviously. You can point you know. What we’re looking at with the laser. Ipoint on add an item so self-explanatory. It is about I don’t know the water resistance on. Idon’t remember or don’t recall reading it online. They did market some type of water resistant see. You unscrew this here the battery compartment there’re two sections. Or three rather that are connected by two threads you do see a small little o-ring here so. That indicates it could.

Than likely will keep out water the Triple A goes in here. And the light unit and laser unit is right here with the clip appears to be removable. Ihaven’t done and might not be removed out but. That is the tail section of the pen. Idon’t like you keep. It on the off position it’s kind of loose. Ican see it going on in my pocket sometimes. It gets twisted just too much do. You know pressure and just crap jingling around in your bag. Or your pocket sometimes. You can secure to bypass. That would be my one of the negative things. Idon’t like about this light is. That there’s no click. Any kind of resistance to stop. It from accidentally turning on so maybe in the future but. They come out with a new model. They kind of give it a little bit like a click. Even like a little push button type thing or probably a click turn would be the best the front part is pretty simple to engage the writing device. You turn the tip and it’s got a good resistance so. It won’t accidentally turn down.

And mark up your pocket. Or your bag whatever. Or tear a hole so you got control of. That to access the ink compartment. You simply unscrew here’re the threads they’re also lubricated which is nice there’s a ring there so. You get access to the Schmidt refill p9. Igot the medium tip here as periods. It says 703 at the tail end of. And the inside is just a holder for. That is the third part. And obviously or rather the second part of the pen. That there are third parts the center piece which joins. Both of them together the clip is okay. This guy could semi-decent retention it’ll it’ll hold up okay the length comparison for this let’s get. Another pen out over here. This is a normal everyday type of pen so it’s about six. And a half inches for the shield versus say about six inches. Or a little bit a more little less for a normal pen so it’s not too awkward to hold in the hand. And write with top a little bit top-heavy obviously.

You have the battery compartment. And the light electronics up there with the laser it’s made out of aluminum. Ibelieve it’s aircraft aluminum. If I’m not mistaken I’ll turn over the pad here I’ll go over. It again heads diameter point zero six. One point six two ounces with the battery not too bad decent weight. Iguess for a pen with multi use let’s see 130 lumens is not bad especially for a pen light. And it’s creepy to LED. Ihappen to like the x PG 2 LED. One in my old age 51 zebra light headlight which uses a double-a battery. And that’s a pretty decent light the reflector inside the pen light appears to be smooth so you’re gonna get a little bit throw out of. It but the front part. It looks like it feels like it’s plastic. And it’s got a little hole. Iguess in the center to allow the emitter to shoot.

More of a spotty kind of flood that’s the best way to describe. Imean I’ll just turn. It on so you can see for yourselves so it’s not exactly a dot it’s not a big wide flood it’s sort of like a mixture which is nice the profile there’s no weird artifacts in the in the throw here which is nice it’s kind of reminds. Me a little bit of the high quality. Iget out of my zebra light lights so not too bad that’s pretty much. Igot a off a battery junction for about $25 on sale. And it’s not a bad investment. Igot to like I said for my EDC bag. And my radio bag so. Ithink that’s gonna fit pretty well in there the lasers a fun little add-on. It works for my needs. One final thing is you could theoretically. While you’re writing and. Someone comes up on. You can take your thumb place. It on the top it as a sort of stabby kind of weapon to protect yourself with it’s not gonna be the best of the.

Iguess tactical defense pens out there but. It does offer a little bit. More of everyday use tools like a light. And laser on I don’t I’m not sure. This point would break windows. Or not but it’s better. Nothing in any situation so again Delta Force PL. One triple a laser pen light at 130 lumens aircraft aluminum decent buy 25 bucks. Nothing to really scoff at. It does the job of writing does have the handy tools the only negative thing is. That loose activation switch. Ijust wanted to see. More of a clique based. One which gives some resistance. And prevent you from accidentally activating the laser. Or the light, so I am John with the fossil channel thank.

Alaskan ballistics here going over. This Delta Force our m10 a flashlight by Smith & Wesson I’m not impressed. Iam NOT impressed for several reasons about $59 light first of. All it comes with its own mounting hardware. And it is loose in. That hardware now you might say well Chuck. You can just tighten up. These screws and you can but. It doesn’t come with. Any allen head wrench to do. That so those two screws are no good there. And tightening this up the main tightening screw does not make. It any tighter but that’s not the real reason why I don’t like. It the real reason why I don’t like. It is because it’s modes on its very first mode. It goes to strobe that’s its first mode. And yet to click it again for high then. You have to click it again for low alright. And the low is actually pretty nice and tolerable indoors but the strobe not so much what’s gonna give. Me some jitters from later tonight probably. And the high look at.

That I hit it again is inconsistent. Now it’s to the high it’s very inconsistent. This has nothing to do. It pressures it seems like. It just goes in order. Ican do the same pressure. And it does different things. And I’m clicking it they’re just. Even on the pressure switch. It goes into order and the first order always seems to be strobe. If we wait a few seconds it’ll be on strobe again no matter. What so it seems to always return to strobe as its thing it is bright is 500 lumens 59 bucks. Ithought oh this is a good deal. And I saw it at Cabala’s I’m like oh that’ll finish out my pistol project. That y’all see me shoot them channel before but no.

Iam sadly mistaken okay here’s. That Smith & Wesson flight flashlight hit on low. And that’s the strobe it’s got. It now orders playing with. It and then we have the high as. You can see there it’s pretty nice just looking at the backyard here there’s the low. And then strobe and high. Igot it out of order so. If you have a recommendation for a decent little rail mounted light to go on the side of an AR pistol go put. It in the comments below. Idon’t want to spend. More than like 75 bucks so put. It in the comments below thanks for watching guys god bless take care we’ll see. You at the range

Because this room isn’t super well lit just FYI I’m in the sporting.

appreciate support so. This light here in the channel today for review. This live for a long time here in the channel. This is the stream light protac rail mount. Igot good things to say about. Igot bad things to say about. It as well and first of. Iwas sent to the channel by Streetlight. We definitely appreciate. And I’m gonna tell you I’m a fanboy I’m a fanboy. Or shrimp like I’ll be running the tlr-1 on a couple of my pistols for a long time. They actually send one of them to a shell to the channel as well but before. Even thought about sending a life to the channel. Ihad him you know. Iremember the first a shell. Ihad tlr-1 a shell was given to. Ithink Father’s Day. Something like that about my wife so. Idefinitely appreciate. Iwas a fanboy already. Igot to tell you guys for the price. These lies are fantastic. You get a lot we have put hundreds. And hundreds of rounds through the steel r1 as well as. This protac right here. And it’s still kicking and it’s still working fantastic.

Igot a couple of good things to say about. This lie I got a couple of bad things to say about the light as always, so I’m gonna get I’m gonna get the bat out-of-the-way first of. One right here are 350 lumens. And the deal with that we’re gonna get into philosophy right. Now you’re right and the philosophy is simple. You know for home defense. And things like some people feel. That 350 lumens is okay. And essentially the biggest reason why is. You don’t want to blind yourself so. You find yourself in a situation. Where you’ve been ban ban. You clear your cleaner looking for the bad guy. Or maybe walking for enough from point A to point B maybe to go. And check out your kiss. Or in a ruin something like. That in case you’re turning this flashlight on.

You don’t want to blind yourself totally an argument. Some people feel that’s the right thing so people don’t. Me personally I want to have as much life as. This gun it like the Sun to come inside my house. And bang I could see. Everything so I could have. That possibly identification right but again. You know there’s a possibility. That you’re gonna blind yourself as well so again it’s a debatable topic so it’s not really it’s not really a vulnerability. Something bad about the light just keep in mind. That it’s 350 lumens. And for some people. That may be enough for some people. That may not be enough for me in my case I’m gonna be changing this to. Something to push out at a minimum 1000 lumens which we’re Streetlight hats probably we’re gonna get. It for a review here in the channel. And I’m gonna link it down below for you guys to check. That out now the other thing. Ireally don’t like has to do with. This pressure plate right here.

Now the pressure plate is fantastic really fantastic. You press here you guys can see. That’s the operation is on. And then you have dust momentary by the way momentary again. You press here momentary so again allows. You know you grab that rifle. You can use this right here to operate the light right so that’s great the other thing. You have is the constant on which is. One right here it kind of clicks. Idon’t think it’s a big deal but. You know noise management. It does click but again. Idon’t think it’s a big deal but again. You want if you’ve got. One constant pressing on boom it’s on right turn. It off again you want Bob. And Terry press enough pressure. Or pressure plate and release right. You press twice it goes into the setting you’ve seen. It goes into that setting so again.

Idon’t use that as much but it’s very simple things. Idon’t like is the ass. You shoot you putting rounds downrange. It starts moving forward. It comes out of place so again that’s. Something you got to keep in mind there is a company. That makes kind of like a metal plate. That goes around I thought about getting one for review. Or thought about getting one just in general but. They cost about $70. Iwas like you know. What I don’t think $70 a good value. Idon’t review well. Idon’t do videos I don’t think. That they’re good I think it’s too expensive. Iwouldn’t spend $70 on. Iwouldn’t expect you to spend $70 so. Idecided not too now to review. What I saw that catechol men did. You saw in his ar-15 rifle which by the way. He has the that pulls out a thousand lumens. He has sypt eyes but. It through here he put him through here. And the zip tie actually holds the plate. This pressure pad on place so.

Ithink it’s not a big deal at. Ithink for $2 you can fix. It up the fact this move. Ithink it’s gonna be just great I’m gonna be doing. That to my rifle and like. He has hit with two zip ties. He worked checks fine. No other that guys. It comes with everything I kind of like Tommy comes ready to mount. This one do it right here on camera. And just so you guys to see. And again you know very simple to use. You guys can see this so very simple obviously. You got the Pirating rail there. It up right their boom. And screw it back in place so obviously. Ihave a little bit loose just for the purpose of the video but obviously. You want to tight you want to tie too good so. It won’t it won’t be moving anywhere obviously. You have this cable here. You can manage the cable. Some kind of way maybe. You start sit tight like. Isay in the past and kind of put.

That cable tie to the rifle. Once again you don’t want. You don’t want to have cable just lose. Whatever again you know for the purpose of the video. Ijust wanted to show. You guys it does come with the other cap right here so. You could use it as a regular fly slide so again. You release you put the basic cap with the basic clip-on. And clip off right so that’s good so again. You could use it on your own on a firearm on a right foot just like. You could just simply put the cap on. It as a regular flashlight. You guys gonna see now I’m in the backyard. You can see you know it’s shining up. And kind of like you know kind of giving you an example.

What you can expect on a rifle again 350 lumens is not a lot at. All but inside a house. It would give you know enough life for you to check out whose out there. Or who’s in your house. Or identify a threat again 350 lumens is not a lot. Iwould definitely recommend. You guys to get something more. Something to keep in mind is. Iused two types of batteries use double eight which is fantastic double a common. And that’s something. Ireally enjoy you never know what’s gonna happen. And again double a is very common but it’s gonna give. Iwanna say like a hundred. And fifty lumens it reduces the amount of lumens. That you’re gonna get out of the light so. You gotta keep that in mind. You use the Sierra one two three. Ibelieve then you’re gonna get the full 205-356-6025. You got like about this much it’s not a big. And it’s a good setup. If it’s good in the rifle.

It doesn’t weigh that much easy to install. Ilike the fact that pressure plate right here I’ll ask. Me to set wherever. Iwant in my case it in the top of the rail right here so again. Icould use this really nice to set up. You know working really good again. Ithink it’s a good deal 90 bucks so really not. That crazy much and it’s a good flashlight with a good reputation again let. What you thing will come is down below. You like this top of a just click like stasis crying we got a lot of videos coming up. And as always good I st control

you guys is Dr Drake 63 here today we’re gonna look at a weapons mounted light. This particular one is the stream light protac rail mount to. This boasts 625 lumens about put which is a vast improvement over the 200 lumens. Ihave on my enforced wml we’ll compare. That a little bit here in a minute but not much of an unboxing when. It comes in a plastic light I’ve seen. This as a very well reviewed light. And it is a rail mounted light. That you don’t need Hardware. You can just turn it with a thumb screw. And this particular. One there is a pro Tek rail mount. One which is shorter. Because it only holds. One battery this one holds two. And has features more power so in addition. This comes with a pressure switch which I’m usually reticent to use those just. Because I take these on enough of a firearm quite a bit, but we’re gonna we’re going to give. This a good-looking at. And in talk about it a little bit compared to. Some other weapons light we’ve had I’ve had good luck with the steam stream light. You might have seen my review on the tlr3. And that’s been a good weapons light for me so far so let’s see.

What do we have okay, so I’ve got three different weapons mounted lights out real quick today obviously we’re reviewing this protect but. You have here is an enforce wml in. This particular one is 200 okay so. Now no contest in terms of brightness. Imean this is going to be. Something that just isn’t going to be anywhere near as far-reaching at 200 lumens is. This one is when we do. Some nighttime shots here a little bit later in the video you’ll see. That but mostly wanted to talk about the way. That this particular. One mounts and some things. Ilike and don’t like about. It and here you have a 200 lumen. This is also a stream light. This is a TRL 3 and the TLR has served. Me pretty well right. Now it’s sitting on top of a Glock 19. And I was shooting the heck out of. It with the 45 caliber Glock 20. And outside of getting some carbon buildup on the light is.

Where it was positioned like liked. It great so that’s the kind of thing you want to see. Now I don’t have the ability to show. You videos of me shooting something at night. Because their ranges. Igo to and so forth. Idon’t have that kind of ability so. Something to do later out in the woods. Or something that in a future video but mostly just looking at air goes. And telling you what I do. And don’t like about the lights. And we can look at. Some comparisons first up want to talk a little bit about. This setup and why I don’t want to use a taper a pressure switch. And the main reason is. Ihave this about where. Iwant it anyway okays. When I have an accurate var I’m typically gripping it about like. This okay a little bit. More of an overhand grip occasionally I’ll get a little bit of a little bit of the fore grip in my hand. Ireally don’t ever grip. It like that okay but.

Where it needs to be is convenient to turn on. This light on and more. Than anything else. What I found is it’s right here. Now if I was gonna put a pressure switch on. It I’ll be careful it isn’t a place. Where my hand goes and since my hand kind of goes. All over the place you know. It would have to be. Some that would either be secured to the top of the rail over here on the side. And really this is the. Most the most convenient for me so that’s why you see. This position for a rail light. Both on this fuller sized AR. And on this SBR and 300 blackouts in. Both cases I’m able to access. That light very easily okay. Now I have seen a lot of ins in. What I call the follow-the-leader rifle setups in other words.

Everybody wants to do the same setup. And what you see a lot of right. Now with lights and lasers is they’ll take. This front sight and they’ll set. It back so that the light can be mounted up top. And in front of the front sight. And the only thing I don’t like about. That is now you’re shortening your sight radius. And you say well okay well. If we’re using a dot anyway who cares. If you have backup sights okay. It will do the whole thing I like having my sight. All the way out on the front. Ijust do and yeah okay. If I’m using a red dot. It doesn’t matter and then. When you look at this SBR. What you have to I mean. You can’t you can’t have your sight radius be the same as a doggone pistol so that’s. Another reason but I won’t play follow-the-leader on my rifle setup for. That reason know what you will see is. Some shorter lights again they’ll move. This front sight back oh maybe to about here.

And then you’ll see a laser. And a laser or a light okay so as. You can see looking forward at. This you know this is sitting up away from the rail a little bit not a ton but a little bit okay. And if you compare the out here to the wml. It does sit a little bit tighter to the rail okay. Now if the distance is. Where these lights are going to really make a difference in. What you’re looking at being up off the rail a little bit. And certainly whatever. Because around the rail does not matter at. All I mean if we’re gonna go with. That logic then I guess you’d better have. All your optics I’ll be sitting right on the rail in other words. It really isn’t gonna make a difference. If especially at the distances. That we’re talking about it’s gonna illuminate. What you need to luminate quite well so. Idon’t buy into the thought. That you need to have. It either on top or. You need to have it located on the bottom. Or it needs to be at 11 o’clock.

Or whatever it needs to be. Wherever you can comfortably get your hand on. This rifle and that’s. What counts the most again as discussed like. Isaid you’ve got a little bit of an offset here but. What I like about that is. This really gives me the ability to still get my hand. Where I like it to be. When I shoe which it’s not like. This but I don’t go. All the way out front like. Some guys do either. Ilike a little bit of a combination right here as. You see and I have no problem reaching out. And turning this light on no problem at. All now we are gonna hear from. Some people I’m sure you’re gonna say oh man. You know you do have to move your hand a little bit out of a comfortable position. And maybe it’s not quite is ergonomically friendly to an on/off switch type of situation.

Where it’s where it’s just a momentary on right. Now that may or may not be the case but again. Ineed something that is not going to give the way on my hand. And I don’t want to give up my sight radius so that’s as. You see here seem goes with. This SPR now on the SBR because of the shorter barrel. You know this is where. Iwant to put my hands not gonna happen so. Iam actually going to use. This vertical fore grip as an actual grip. And not just a bit of a stop but here again. Ihave the ability to get on. This light no problem it’s real easy real quick. Ijust moved my thumb a little bit. That right there is gonna do. It for me so that’s kind of how. Iview that as far as using a nighttime setup with. Something like this. Something else that’s important to. Me and maybe another reason why I’m not a big fan of using pressure switches.

Iwant whatever light. Iput on a firearm to be. Something that is relatively easy. And quick to take off for a lot of reasons but mostly. Because I’m gonna go to the range. And shoot during the day. Idon’t typically need to have my light on there for weight reasons for a lot of reasons it’s. All allowed coming up so. How easy is it to take off. If we look at this wml. You basically have a little cleat here. That yeun screw and. It comes right off you can see right there it’s spring-loaded so that’s. How you attach okay as far as far as. This particular stream light goes. This is real nice because. All you’re doing is you’ve got a nice metal. And you turn that so you’ve just got a metal knob. That you turn it and. That comes offs real easily so very quickly I’m without the extra bulk without the extra weight the after. Or whatever and that’s the kind of thing.

That you could just very easily put in a backpack right the weight is next to. Nothing and you could put. This in a backpack and hey it’s nighttime I’m going to shoot. How hard is it — how hard is. It to go ahead and just crank. This on and then you tighten. That down and you’re good to go okay wml same thing okay. Now this tends to be a little bit. More of a Wiggly type of affair but. It does the trick on a. Now real quickly in terms of comparing this Streetlight. And this w ml saved by side a couple things to notice here. One is made out of metal. This is completely made out of metal in terms of in terms of your rail mount the terms of your knob in terms of the casing itself it’s. All made out of metal. This is all made of plastic. And it’s hardened plastic it’s its. Nothing that I’m 100% sure is gonna break but the end of the day I’m willing to bet.

That if I was the kind of guy. That wanted to go ahead. And take these products. And torture test them ie throw money out the window trying to break them. This is gonna hold up. This is going to hold up better just because of the way it’s made its gonna hold up a lot better. Idon’t know it’s gonna be easier to crack. This polymer though. And I think that this assistant for attachment you’ve got right here is. What I consider to be your weak link. Idon’t know if you can see. That or not but there’s just a little cleat in there. That tightens down and. Ibelieve that’s gonna be your weak link at the end of the day could be wrong. You know everybody thought Glocks were gonna break. When those key by the wave heard. Some really bad things said about the in force. And in particular owe it’s just cheap.

And it’s its not very good quality. Iwould disagree with. That I would disagree with. That I think that’s from the same group of folks. That thing any parts. That are made out of polymer. Or plastic are crap. And like I said happy to talk to. You about that anytime so but in terms of in terms of what people will talk about. You either like something made out of metal. Or you don’t you do have a scenario going on where you’re gonna have. Some components that are made out of polymer right here right here. And so forth so I think. We just are conditioned to trust metal. And I get that but. That doesn’t necessarily mean. That metal is always the way to go you’re going to see. That with including the rail mount. This weighs 51 ounces so let’s see. How that compares to the enforce 29 5 ounces just getting a view of up.

Some brightness here. And so forth and so on do. You want to go ahead. And point out to you. That you know here you’ve got a muzzle device in the blast ports for lack of a better word going back. This far so you’re gonna get. Some some build up. Some residue buildup on the front of. This light if it’s mounted up close. This far because that’s that’s. Where your Flash comes so. That means you have. You have flame and gunpowder coming out of there. And that is going to. That is going to get on their just like. It will here with this type of compensator. Everything happening at the end here you’re not going to see.

That but just something to think about is. If you you are gonna fire. This a lot with your light on how far up next to your compensator the end of the barrel is going to have a determining factor with. Whether the lights gonna get dirtier so. Something to think about earlier. We were talking about. We were talking about the pressure switch basically. All you do this is. This is the normal on/off end plate basically. All you do with the pressure switch which same thing has a sealed o ring on. It to make this water to water tight. You basically just screw. This guy on and now you’ve got a switch. That can be activated. Either by this strip right here.

Or this simple on/off switch so. It comes with either an adhesive. Or some zip ties on which. You can mount this. Wherever you like you can find a good place. That makes sense for you as. Imentioned it’s just not my preference to put. This kind of scenario on the rifle. Now I know that there’s going to be guys. That really do have duty rifles in my definition of a duty rifle is. That when someone has official duty. That involves your rifle it’s a duty rifle for the rest of. Is it’s a made-up word. That has little import but in terms of where would. You put this you know as. Ishowed you earlier with my hand to my hand around so much. Where would I want. It to be to not hit. It and that’s what I like about using just the regular end plate on. That or the end ends which is basically. It that’s that particular situation it’s a little bit. More deliberate and. Ihave to try to do. It and that’s that’s a little bit.

More important to me so but for those of. You guys that like. This feature it has. It and it seems like it’s very nice. One too I’m gonna have to I’m gonna have to go ahead. And say that compared to. Some I’ve seen this plate seems well-made. And that it would be durable comes with two of these cr123a three volt lithium batteries. And on high brightness claims. That this lasts better. Then two hours and on lower settings quite a bit. More now by lower settings. What do I mean by that well there’s a procedure by. Where you can program different sequences. Or levels of brightness for. Each of your instant-on. And permanent on settings okay. And it’s called the tenth click scenario. You click this thing nine times. And on the tenth time. You have the ability to cycle through. These different settings. This is something that’s covered quite extensively in the owner’s manual so there is. That I’m not going to spend a bunch of time going through.

That this the way it comes is. You can hold it down for instant on. And off for just bright. You can double-click. It quickly and you get strobe instant on. And if you go ahead. And just depress it with the strobe instant on. It stays on and there. You go so that’s the factory set that’s the way. It comes out of the box. And you can change. It you can get a lower intensity light. If that’s what you prefer to the strobe. Idon’t need a lower intensity light. Iprobably don’t need the strobe but. If I need something other. Than the brightest at least in my case it’s going to be the stroke. Because I could see. How that would disorient the living heck out of whoever is giving you a hard time. And maybe you can make. Somebody just get the heck out of your grill without.

Even having that would be better yeah. And if you’ve got that pointing at. You it’s going to be quite disoriented. And I’m getting disoriented just sitting here watching. That but if you’re on the other side of. This and you’re looking through a red dot it’s not. That big a deal really it’s not as disoriented to be on the back side of. This is it is to be on the front side of. This is you guys no I’m not I’m not opposed to spending a little bit of money on decent gear. And when I looked at. When I looked at the stream light. Idid compare very heavily against the top. And shoe fires that are out there. And probably someday. Iwill go ahead and purchase. One of those surefire weapons mounted lights but to be honest. Ididn’t see what kind of value.

Iwas getting by dropping an extra couple hundred bucks. We all know that you get. What you pay for in. This business and you know a guy that’s gonna go out. And buy a complete BCM rig. Or top it off with top. It off with something like a Trijicon. That obviously I am a believer. You do get what you pay for and a lot of times. Ifound that you do get. Some better gear. When you do spend the extra money. However and with respect to. These weapons light the fact. That matter is I’ll need. One to fail me or have a bad experience with. One I think before. Idecide that I absolutely have to spend three hundred. And sixty dollars on a system which is designed. More than anything else to be used with a pressure switch. And I’ve already made. It really clears that’s not my preference the dogs already made. It clears that’s not her preference — but in terms of in terms of being able to illuminate.

What you’re looking at. Now to distance 200 lumens wasn’t going to be enough for me that’s why the in force has its limitations I’m not going to show a video of. Me taking this to the range in the daytime. And doing a bunch of shooting with. This light hanging off I’ve seen. That as a way that a lot of the guys will review. These and it just doesn’t do much for me. Iwant to see how this thing shoots at night. And first hands the way. Iwant to do it the first thing we’re going to look at. You can’t even really see. It but straight down. This driveway right to the left underneath. That streetlight sitting out at about 85 yards is a house it’s not illuminated at. All so the first thing I’m gonna do is I’m gonna eliminate. That house using the wml 200 lumen light okay.

You can kind of see the house. You see it now you don’t see. It okays now for point of reference. Now we’re gonna use the stream light see. What 625 lumens looks like. You see that’s a drastic different difference out of 85 yards. It completely illuminates. What you’re looking at so there’s really no comparison there very effective very bright light looking at. Some things a little bit closer we’re looking at a tree out here that’s about 20 yards away. And this is with the wmo looking at. That same tree using the stream light it’s just so much brighter. It lights it up to much greater extent it’s its not only a lot. More visible but it’s its a lot easier to make out what’s going on. Ihope you’ve enjoyed my rather non-technical review of the stream light protac rail mount — I’ve enjoyed bringing a TIA.

This is dr drake 63 as always reminding you join the NRA. And thanks for watching.

Welcome to the josh wiley channel. Where firearm parts. And modifications and earrings. You knew to the channel consider getting subscribed. And be sure to click the bell icon to be alerted about. All the new video uploads. You can also find us on Instagram. And our website at wwwdecksdirect-dot-com All right so this is the protect rail mount to light. It does have a programming system on. This thing where you can set. It up to go between three different options. You can have a high strobe high only. And high on high this thing puts out 625 lumens a two hundred. And ninety-seven meter beams it’ll run for about two hours. And has a max Candela of 22000. If you’re running this on low. It only puts out sixty lumen 89 meter beams it’ll run for about 21 hours. And puts out a max Candela of 2000. It uses two cr123a batteries it’s made of anodized 6061-t6 aluminum. It also has an impact resistant tempered glass lens. Now has a IP rating of ipx7. If you’re not familiar with the IP ratings it’s the water resistant rating how. Now with the push button tail cap on here.

It is ipx7 which means. It is submersible in. One meter of water you have the pressure switch on here like mounted on a rifle. It is different but we’ll get to. That in a minute the light overall is 5 inches long. It does weigh in at 5 ounces alright so. Now we’re gonna check out the stream light at night. That post right there is about 30 yards away. And then that backhoe bucket over there is about 20. And then we’ve got a cheaper light it’s. One of the cheap like twenty to thirty dollars CV life flight. And there’s the post. One is the 500 lumen light. And then over at the backhoe bucket so up close it’s somewhat comparable but.

Any kind of distance. And then the so that’s the stream light. This is the CV life so. You can see that beam is from the stream light compared to the CV light so very good quality. And very good light so your lens screws right on off. You were to damage something it’s easy to take off put a new. You can see the light but your lens fruisé right back on. It also does have a ring in there to keep. It good waterproof and then your push button tail cap here screws right on off. You can see the red ring there to keep. It waterproofs and then your cr123a batteries. These are Streetlight batteries. You don’t have to use Streetlight batteries in. It just comes with Streetlight zone battery see. You stick the batteries back in their put your cap back on. This is like I said earlier ipx7 waterproof up to a meter. Ibelieve on the website. It just says up to a meter for only 30 minutes but. It is waterproof you do take. This off put your pressure switch on be sure to remember.

That the waterproof rating goes down. And it’s not technically waterproof anymore it’s okay against like splashing water. And stuff like that’s because it’s ipx4 so be sure to remember. This is the up close rail mount but real high quality like alright so putting this light on your rifle you’re gonna take your tail cap off just screw your presser pressure switch. And on their one thing I really like about. This male on here unscrew. That handle won’t come. All the way off so you don’t have to worry about losing any parts just screw. You can get it tight. Iusually use like a pair of channel locks then grab. That make sure it’s really on there.

And then that’s mounted then up here is your pressure switch. Ireally like stream lights pressure switch it’s a lot better. Than the cheaper lights out there. Most of the time you just get the small pressure switch to like stick on your hand gourd. Or your grip it just comes with the double-sided tape. That usually doesn’t stay on their very long. And it’s a pain in the butt. This actually comes with pieces to mount to your rail on your hand guard which. Ireally love and it’s got a piece here. And a piece here you’ll just pop your pressure switch in. These pieces it pops right onto your rail. You ain’t got to worry about. It come out anything I mean it’s really on there. And it’s always in the same place. You don’t worry about. It fall off anything so.

Ireally like this is a pressure switch so right here. You press and let go. And it’ll go off so that’s your momentary on. And then this button back here is the constant on so. You push and it’ll stay on. And then you have to push. It again for it to cut off. Something I didn’t mention earlier for the strobe effect. It works on the with the end cap. Or with the pressure switch on your rifle hold your pressure switch down for it to come on. You double tap and hold. It will the strobe effect will come on. You release the pressure switch the strobe will go off. And then also with your constant on button. It is worth mentioning you can hold. That down and let go. It works as a pressure also but. You push it until it clicks. And let off it will stay on but. You can just hold and let off. And it’ll go on and off for a momentary so that’s. It mounted on the rifle in. Something else worth mentioning the pressure switch does actually have two holes.

Each side it does come with two screws. This in the box it does come with double-sided tape. If you’re interested in using. And two zip ties to put. Whatever you want to put. It on but it does have two holes here. And two screws so you can mount. Anything if you want to just screw. It on the side of your grip. You can do that that is a neat option. They offer this setup with the pressure switch on without your push button in cap. This is only ipx4 so you’re not gonna want to submerge. This underwater but. It is okay against like splashing water. And stuff like that but that’s. All for the pressure switch so that’s. All for this episode. You liked it is sure to give. Me a thumbs up let me know your thoughts down in the comment section below let. You have this lighter. If you’d like to have. If there’s some other lights out there. That you’d like to see a review on the channel. Ido have another light from Streetlight I’ve got a video in the works for.

That should be coming up next. This is your first video be sure to consider getting subscribed to the channel. And be sure to check out watch Josh Wiley comm it’s the all-new website. Iwill see you guys next time Thanks.

You take control and gain the advantage Nothing beats a Streetlight.

Hey guys welcome back to Amer Hart outdoors today’s gonna be a short video. It just do a quick review on. This guy right here it’s a stream light tlr-2 I’ve been. This super cool light right so it’s 150 lumens it’s a it’s kind of unique in the fact. That Trinity blow-dries is um it’s a green light so it’s pretty bright so a hundred fifty lumens but it’s an actual LED it’s not a green cap over the lens um it’s a it’s the real magic. What this thing is just the distance. This light beam light covers. It will illuminate like really dark areas is super cool. Another thing that’s really cool about is apparently like. When you’re hunting hogs. And stuff and like other kind of like coyotes. And other predators. These um these lights won’t spook animals the helical white light. This is specifically designed for hunting hogs at night with night vision is. It also won’t bloom out like a night vision scope. Something like that um I’m not gonna lie to. Istraight-up impulse purchase on. This thing I mean like. Ihave literally no use for this thing up in Alaska other. You know is that down hunting hogs in Florida the guide had. Ithought it was really cool so my god it’s going to get. One maybe uh make a little hug hunting gun but never got around to. It but anyway it a lot. Idon’t really regret. Ijust kind of wish. More stuff to do because up here in Alaska the Fish.

And Game laws don’t allow. You to use artificial light um. Iwas hunting hollows in Florida the guide would use. This thing because you know. When you’re going up. And down these trails looking for hogs. You sometimes know you walk in. And you’ll hear them just right out next to. You in the brush you know like rustling around. Most the times they hear. You they’ll just haul ass in the opposite direction but. You spook them you know. They also can you know rush out a quarry with their tusks so that’s why this guy had. This light on stuff. That the fact it doesn’t bloom out the night-vision goggles give. Me kind of real quick overview so right here it’s got.

This little notch this thing you could swap out. It has diff notches. Iguess for like I guess GL is probably for Glock got enough it’s specifically designed. Ihave to check out yeah. Iremember correctly. Ilook at the box there’re different ones for different um. Iguess pistols but. Idon’t think most people use them for pistols. They probably put them on rail sections um its mounting is actually pretty it’s pretty tough mounting options right here is um it’s got. This little spring mounted deal here. You open up the UH the opposite side of the rail clamp. And then you up tighten down. This little screw right here so. You can take and off with your hands. It takes at two CLR cr123. If that’s what they’re called batteries. Ithink that’s it ahead about a hours with the battery life um yeah like. Isaid really bright. You know just really. It just really penetrates far past.

What like just sit I guess a normal white light does. Ithink that’s mostly in part from. What I call I don’t know. This the actual proper terminology is for this thing right here is. What I call the Bell it’s just a really white bell which is cool but it’s also kind of. One of the downsides of. This thing so you look at. This kind of like normal. Iguess carbon length rail system. You can’t you have to mount. It like right up here in the front end of. You can kind of move down a tiny bit but. You can’t get that far. Because then it starts bumping up against the um the front of the rail system here. And stuff and then. Anything to is you happen to be using one of these kind of rail systems. If so you’re on your a frame. And then you have your barrel sticking out. That barrel is um and the a frame usually ends up. You know casting a shadow on the light which is also kind of. Another thing that’s. Iguess designed for you know. What I noticed more people are going to is those longer rail sections.

Or longer hand guards. And but upright against the flash suppressors. It seems like most people are doing away with. These old-fashioned a-frame front side closed gas blocks. It works really well. That also Heather I guess mounting option. Ifound out is I can’t really mount. It right now into my crossbow. This little knob that the quiver attaches to but a lot of people in their hunting hogs with crossbows come on I’m on. If you’re a rail section right here on the bottom that’s as well. Another spot for it realistically. Imean just with the design. Ikind of wish they just decide. This a little bit better. If you’re real sections right here don’t have. This bell like you know like bump. Where the rails should mount up. You know you want to recess the thing back a tiny bit. You kind of just run out options as far as mounting so. If they just kind of made. Me offset the you know like the bail up here tiny bit. You know I mean then. It would fit all day long.

And Stefan would that big of an issue but anyway like. Nothing I could do with. This thing up in Alaska but still a pretty cool light. Ihave no uh well I do have regrets just the fact. Ican’t really use it but here’s on. One is a surefire this is just like a white light stuff so kind of I’m not sure. Many lumens if it’s pretty bright light but it’s going to give. You a side-by-side uh oh yeah that’s like really bright so yeah. Imean it’s its on par with. You know leather like weapons battle lights. And also has you can do the UH remote which. It the remote little light switch which. Ipersonally don’t I don’t know. Some people might use. Idon’t really use that a bunch. You don’t I mean just wires. And stuff tend to get cut. And melted and stuff. When guns get hot but anyway yeah um. If your hog hunting or predator hunting this is definitely a pretty cool light to have.

Ijust kind of wish sometimes. You know like Alaska would see a big outbreak in hogs. That would be fucking awesome.
