So good day, I’m clive and welcome to cdp outdoors just got home from work, and this has been delivered today and I thought I’d show this one, because it’s the titanium, long spoon with the polished on it. That’s really really nice and I want to compare it with this one. I did a review of about two years ago and let’s get it open. The outside looks almost identical, I’m looking at the spoon and it’s almost identical, but this is the one from exada now, if you’ve seen the video about this, I’ve got a few comments.

Some personal message sent to me and someone that nice everybody was saying it’s exactly the same spoon as the tokes titanium one made in the same factory just with a different name stamped on it. Now I’ve had a look at this and it’s not exactly the same spoon. I don’t think it’s made in the same factory and the quality is completely different. So if you’re looking at getting a cheaper one, just save two or three dollars or you get the original totes one. Hopefully, this video will show you so the first thing I’m going to do is weigh them.

I’m going to weigh these in grams, the spoon on its own alexada comes in at 15 grams, so here’s another way of turning that they’re, not exactly the same with a different name, but on because the totes titanium one comes in at 20 grams and just picking it up very similar I’ll. Give you that, but the print oh, should I say the indentation of the laxative. One is much much deeper there where the tokes is a lot shallower and not so harsh, and I don’t know if you can see the totes, nice and clean and nice clean print there luxada the titanium is not like.

I don’t know you when you get the little dirty bit around the outside like a sticker. That’s how this one looks. It is actually etched into the spoon by the feels of it, but the quality of just the printing is nowhere near as good. Now in my previous video, I didn’t like this because it arrived quite scratched. You can’t really see it on the video, but the scratches going across here, getting all different angles and they’re, not just a normal manufacturing, scratches they are like a damage, and this is the alexander.

One is very, very poor quality as far as I’m concerned, because in the polish bit here it’s like a pitting and it’s as if there’s a bit of rust in or it’s got some steel or iron filings onto it, and it’s rusted into the polish, where, with the topes one you’ve got, the manufacturing would have polished it they’re all going in the same direction. There’s a couple of very fine, but not as harsh as the elixir one we’ve got a couple of scratches here, but all the rest, a couple of fine ones.

So all the rest are going in the same direction and if I put them together, it’s the same size whole, but it looks it. I said the quality it’s just like I said histoloxide. I can fill them bits where it’s all pitted and this one is all nice and smooth from tokes bags. People always ask about the bags. Okay, this looks a glance. The same as the tokes quality one, but when you look closer at it, the actual stitching doesn’t look like it’s actual rip, stop stitching like you got in here.

Oh no! This is like a lighter, it might be rip stop, but the box is on this. One, it’s gonna be pedantic, are smaller and he’s like when you get something cheap or knock off, they just print and they’re, not very accurate. The bag is not as wide, so that’s where the elixir one stops and the tokes one stops there. The cord, I don’t know good quality, bad quality. I actually like this one. It’s a little bit shiny and smoother, but the line pull on. It is just a little cheap and nasty one.

It does the job it does what it’s meant to do. I cinch it up and stay cinched, but then you look at the tokes one. It is nice dense cord on it, but it is a good good quality one, but the feels and look to it. The finish up here with a knot is not as good as the elixir one. This is quite clean finish on it. This just needs a bit of a trim and um the light on it to mount it really actually line pool, there’s a lot better quality. One kind of you can see that let’s move this out of the way.

Yes, it is a lot better quality one. This is from totes and the bag. Actually, this one feels all smooth like that has been printed on, but this one it does feel a little bit more more durable. So I prefer this bag, which is the tokes one. Well, what else can we say about this? The company I got this one was commonly called tom, shu they’re excited and it was very, very, very poor, customer service. It took long, they were very fresh, they weren’t very polite. They refused to help in any way.

That’s why I made the first video to let people know. I don’t see that at all or black and like there’s bits of other metal, actually mixed in with the polish bit but, like I said the company got this on time shoe they were just they were disgusting, they were and I’ve known other people who’ve had stuff the alexada from tom shoe and they haven’t been happy with them. They’ve had the so-called titanium pots and they’ve ended up with all rust spots inside and smaller stains, and that’s after just one or two uses so yeah you just see here.

Oh I don’t know if you can, but under the polish there’s one two three four about five little bits where it’s got as if there’s a some filings underneath the actual polish bit. The finish is just bad, so elixir from now on. Unless somebody just sends me one for free to review and they improve it, then this looks hard is a no-no. For me, tom shoe, oh my tongue, shoe. Excuse me the tokes. I’ve got, I think, all my or nearly all my pots and everything are titanium ones from tokes.

I’ve never ever had a problem with the topes titanium. I said this one is just nice and clean: there’s, no pitting, there’s nothing under the polish by the field of it. It’s like this one was actually polish polished and this one feels and looks like it was actually dipped to make it look like a polished end. So getting back to the tokes. I bought this one directly from tokes themselves and I have bought a lot from tokes and never ever ever had a problem even with the predicaments at the moment in the world, with this virus going around and the postage being slow.

This didn’t take that long to turn up. I’ve been waiting now just got some straps turned up. They were sent five weeks ago and I suppose it’s been delivered in five days and if I remember this turned up within two weeks, so the service at tokes is good. So I’d probably like I said, probably going through the same dispatch and everything has something like this, but no this seems to get the priority that takes like saying again it’s very good quality. I will continue to buy things I need from tokes and there is another company.

I’ve been looking at as well to get some of their stuff and have a look, because in this sort of thing you never stop looking for a better gear or something you actually see you like and just want, not necessarily need, but just want so the top spoon. Would I recommend it me personally? Yes, I would uh, I would recommend it. I was trying to think of the right words. I’m not telling people go out and buy it, and this is just a review of how I see and what I think of it. It’s going to work for me, yeah looks it again is taupes.

The quality of all their gear has always been good. So hello youtube we’re going to look at today’s. The talks long-handled spoon have here. I ordered this for one simple reason: it’s long and titanium cups of this nice little bag. So much you can say about spoon really that works or it doesn’t, but the long handle is very important if you eat from a lot of I bagged, all types food like MREs, etc. Actually, having the extra long spoon helps you get to the bottom of the bag that happen to kind of crunch your hand it.

The quality is very good like this for less than $20 I think I paid for it, and this is a hoax brand. He looks great nice. The end is polished, as you can see, and the rest has. Some salt looks like a ya, be blast finish on the rest of it. So looks pretty good I like that, let’s, let’s try it out. Let’s get out of rent, you can test a spoon really how it goes on your face or it isn’t. This is my sea2summit spoon which is obviously inferior to the longest food I’ve.

Had this spoon for a very long time. I love it, it’s great, has a little hiss raishin, so you can pick stuff up with it as well. I, don’t think this will replace it by Modest. I said cut some serrations into it, because this is pretty poor for me and this an opposite light lighter weight, but it’s titanium their way. Nothing anyway. It’s an example, even from this bacon, cheddar mashed, potato bag and your basic spoon was a struggle to get to the bottom, the longest boond, no problems.

So if easy eating from a bag is important to you, this is probably the spoon to buy. If you just want to have regular titanium spoon, it’s probably do you fine- and this is lasted me for a long time, but I’ve never really had a complaint. Until I saw the longest food, then I need to buy that it was somebody one. They were a good time. As me, the assignment was George. It’s breakfast time confirm that the long spoon dis work and you find that when you grab it the edges kind of maybe she’ll interested yeah.

My sea2summit, the the edges, are key beveled these homes on so so there you go. Yeah you choose. A shop scream actually has to grab it. If you grab it pretty hard, we would have thought that you could buy a bad spoon spoon spin around for, like thousands of years, people know how to make them. Obviously, whoever made this never grabbed it. So, in summary, you’re looking for a long-handled spoon that doesn’t have to grasp it and probably don’t buy this one, how can you hook up a spoon design seriously? Well then, now have a new appreciation for a good spoon.

This is pepper and cricket, and pepper and cricket outdoors today we’re going to be doing a review on the taupe, titanium, long-handled spork, there’s only so much you can review with a spoon, let’s be honest, but I mean as far as the reason we bought these. Let me show you why we bought these so before we got the long handle. This is what we were using. So it was one of these folding titanium spoons. So the idea behind this is that you set the handle out lock it in place, it’s nice because you can fold it and it will fit inside of your cook kit.

That makes it convenient. The problem is that as anyone who’s used, one of these mountain house- things pouches cook pouches knows, and this is a double portion. When you go down to stir the bottom, you can see how far your hand has to be in the bag to get to the bottom. So you wind up with chili mac with beef, knuckle right or wrong. She does that I don’t. But this is the problem she had anyway. So, to avoid that problem and frustration of having to lick your fingers, your knuckles clean, we decided to go with the titanium, a long handle spork, as you can see that with this, you can reach the bottom of the bag without your fingers having actually get down inside of it, so keeps your hands cleaner when you’re using one of these mountain house meals.

As far as the spork itself, you know, I, don’t know how what can you say about a spork I think the only the only thing I would have liked. They have this hole here at the end of the handle. Probably would have been better if that was a hook, so that it can be used to say lift of the pot lid off or grip, something that’s hot other than that has the polished bowl but I think that’s kind of trivial. You know if you’re in the backcountry and you’re wearing the same underwear for five days and you haven’t taken a shower polished bowl seems a little bit trivial, but it does have a polish bowl for people who, like that, our old spork did not have a Polish bowl I.

Don’t think it made that big of a difference so other than that designed really well very sturdy. The handle is kind of rid we’re going to weigh it. So as far as weight goes, the manufacturer claims that it’s point six five ounces. Let’s see what we get we’re, showing zero point: six, seven ounces! So don’t know if my scale is thousand percent accurate down to the hundredths, but we show point zero, six, seven ounces. It also does come with a little orange since cinch sack I, don’t think we’re going to be using that we could throw that on the scale and just see how much weight that contributes.

That brings it up to zero point. Seven, eight ounces, all right. So that is our review for the tokes long-handled, titanium spork. We haven’t used it yet we plan on using it for the first time next weekend but, like I said almost only so much you can review when it comes to a spork. We’re gonna be taking a look at a spork, this, it’s just fun to say: spork, but anyway, this I picked up off Amazon before my last hiking trip and wanted to give a review for you guys, I use it that whole trip and I’ve tested it out a little bit.

So I want to give you guys a review if you’re in the market, for this particular one you’re searching for this term the name and give you something to look at. So this is a no I’m gonna butcher, the name of it. But it’s a rocket rockin RAK you eat in. How do you pronounce it? I know: I butchered it, but it comes in this little neon green, yellow rip, stop carry bag with a drawstring and, like I, said I picked this up off.

Amazon and I had not had a long-handled sport before I had just not had any need for one but I’ve started using like the mountain house. I’ve started using that a little bit more and I do use like a ziploc bag to eat. Out of so having something like this is very handy. So what this is is a titanium long-handled spork alright, so it measures out at eight and a half inches long and it weighs in at 0 6 five ounces.

So it’s very lightweight it is titanium and it is very, very strong. I could probably bend it if I wanted to, but it’s very strong and very lightweight this one does have the polished Bowl. So it’s easier to clean this part here. If you can tell it’s kind of textured and it’s not shiny, so it makes that part a little bit hard to clean. But you rarely get food right here. So I picked this up off Amazon right now, at the time of filming this video, it is less than $15 for this spork.

Now, if you’re eating, if you like mountain house meals, if you like any kind of freeze-dried meals other than mountain house- and you are having to scoop in or you have a large pot- that you’re eating out of having a long-handled spork is very very handy. So this is I think a very good investment that I made and I highly recommend this one. This one is really well I. Think I’ve had a couple cheaper ones that weren’t long handle and they just didn’t hold up.

They were plastic, so they were lighter weight, but you can break a plastic spork very easily, so this one I’m not worried about it when I put it in my food bag, when I put it in my pack, I’m not worried about it. Getting bent broke anything like that, because it is pretty durable and it’s lightweight too so, and it comes with this little carry bag. So you can keep it if you do miss a little bit of food when you’re cleaning it.

It goes right in here and you don’t have to worry and I can’t hold on to it and it goes right into this carry bag. You don’t have to worry about anything getting anywhere else in your bag and your food pack or anything like that. So short, video I just wanted to. Let you guys know about this I think it’s a very durable, very easy to clean, very good purchase for either yourself or for a gift for somebody.
