Hey here we are 2016 media day at the range of John Cho new Browning this year is the name speed is going to be seen in apparel firearms. You name a speed kills baby. And for new this year is the expo else Canyon speed rifle featuring the new attacks camo pattern seracote on. All the metal finishes. We have a really nice fluted barrel new muzzle brake system on the end it’s going to come through. All the fun little caliber six five thirty dots 6 to 7. You name it’s going to come out in. All those calibers neat little rifle about six pounds done just right for not only the mountain guide with the individual sitting in the tree stand awesome gun a tax camel pattern. You name it they’ve got. All new for 2016 hex bolt the speed rifle.

Hey Chad’s Garret again your host for signal seven outdoors thanks for joining today I’m going to go over a little bit of a partial rifle review for a new firearm. That I picked up and really excited about its the Browning Expo health canyon speed Edition. And what that means in layman’s terms are. What the speed Edition is it’s basically a Mountain typewriter lightweight short fluted barrel muzzle break simple to operate. Ioriginally bought. This rifle to go on a sheep hunt. And I’m awarding something like to be hiking up in the hill country of Texas so. Ibought the rifle and. Ioutput it originally with thirty millimeters Cali scope rings. That are made specifically for the browning X bolt. And a nikon pro staff series seven scope. And it’s four by sixteen by fifty. That was my original plan. And we all know how original plans turn into plan b CD so on. And so forth so I took. These rifles arranged. Iwas really excited about. It the colors awesome as. You can see in digital type attacks camouflage it’s got a beautiful barrel it’s Sarah coated. This bronze color it feels great in your hands it’s lightweight — the big scope. Ilike but it’s just an all-around. It feels solid it feels good we’ve got a super solid polymer drop box magazine. Iwas super excited until. Ishot it first and foremost. Iam a huge browning fan.

Ilove their shotguns. And I would look and never own. Anything besides of riding shotgun. Ihave a mattress and. Ihappen to Tory specifically is an amazing weapon but the x-bow trifle speed Edition the Hells Canyon left. Me walking if I’m being honest my test. And sign is a drive rifle with. Something like this. Istarted off with the 143 grain precision hunter gmx board sir I’m sorry the LD X bullet three shot group didn’t work out for me. These are the exact targets. That I was using and. Idon’t have the targets. That I shot but out of the three shot group. Icould not get all three shots in the center bull’s eye. And that’s about five x bullseye after. Iused the precision hunter bullets. Ihave another box which. Ididn’t have with me it’s already match 120 grain a max bullets performed the same. Icould not get a group. Itried corner D 129 grain SST ammunition performance Disney Groups. Itried 129 grain horny American whitetails didn’t group the only ammunition. Icould get to even group in.

This rifle with federal fusion 140 grain. And the 65 Creed moor so. Itook this rifle derangement begins. You shoot it inside. It in I didn’t do a barrel break-in. Because for $1000 I for modern age firearms. You don’t need to do a barrel breakdown. Or anybody says I have 250 dollar Remington rifles. That shoot Richard roots. That touch each other. That I never get a barrel break in four so just put the metal to the pedal to the metal. And start shooting and. Itested five different grains of ammunition. All in six five threes. More tested the hosta recording precision hunter quality a max warranty America whitetail. And 40 super performance.

And the federal fusion the best. Icould get with all five of those around is. Icould shoot seven rounds. That would all be inside the six-inch bullseye. And typically the way. That I shoot a rifle which is. How I try to shoot. It in the field sometimes. You have to take one. Sometimes you have to do quick follow-up shots so. All the rounds that. Iput through the trifle I’ve buried sometimes. Iwas wait I’ll do a cold war shot wait 20 minutes to a cold bore shot other times. Iwould shoot reload shoot just to see. What happened the 140 grams who prefer the 140 gram in federal fusion actually group the best like.

Isaid 7 rounds inside the six inch bullseye for only two rounds such for me that’s unacceptable is unacceptable for $1000 rifle listen guys. This is the deal on. This rifle I’m not a professional hunter I’m not a professional shooter I’m a normal guy just like. You do normal guy stuff. And my opinion is this rifle as. It sits with me trying to cite. It in a hundred yards. It is not for me I’m going to contact browning send. It back to them see. If they can fix it could be a defect. Idon’t know I would hope. That it’s just a defect knowing bronze quality. However take it for what it’s worth. And I hope it’s helped. You out in some way from. How I’m jazz Gary sickles 7 outdoors your resource for the normal guy.

Oh hey internet friends. Something cool to show. This is the new Ruger American ranch rifle. What you’re thinking another boring bolt-action rifle but wait there’s. Something different about. This little guy here is chambered in the ultra affordable 7 62 by 39 cartridge which means lots. And lots of cheap practice. This little biscuit here is a mash-up of two of our. Most popular workingman rifles hence the name American ranch so. You have the ranch rifle which were sold as mini-14 variants. These are the semi-automatic two to three varmint killing machines then. You have the accurate American series which is. Both action at entry-level pricing mash. These up nine months later. This little guy here is our rifle here the barrel is 16 inches long the overall length is about 36 inches the rifle weighs in at 6 pounds the only stock color offered right. This FD II which is flat dark earth. You can’t get any other color at the moment but. This color is not that bad. It does ship with the five round magazine. This is the same magazine. You will find in the mini 30 the rifle does come with a Ruger adjustable marksman trigger which can be adjusted between three. And five pounds you can see right there is very similar to the Savage Accu trigger so it’s two stages. This rifle does come with a Pirating rail which replaces the standard American rifle scope based system your rifle will also come with swivel studs.

Both on the front in the rear. You want to put a sling on. That the rifle comes with a cold hammer-forged barrel. It is threaded for a suppressor the rifle has a tang safety on the back well then very audible click so. You know if it’s on. If it’s off the rifle also features a softer. You think rubber butt pad I’m telling you. This thing is way softer. You think you have a one-piece three lug bolts here with a 70 degree throw 70 degrees means. It stays clear of your scope in. This whole package here sells in Canada for about $699 without the scope sorry not the whole package. We added the scope it does not include. That just, so we’re clear the only thing the gun ships with is. That five round detachable mag. And an owner’s manual so. This particular Ruger American ranch rifle. We use was outfitted with a Bushnell 1 to 4 by 24 scope. And just so you’re aware. We packed about a thousand rounds of the fanciest surplus Communist Soviet ammo. We could find to the range.

It here is my thoughts I’ll start with pros so let. Me start off by saying this rifle comes with an awesome barrel the rifle comes with a cold hammer-forged barrel. It is made in-house which means it’s excellent quality. It can stand up to lots. And lots and lots of crappy surplus Soviet ammo. Something else we loved was the three lug bolt. This is a fancy upgrade typically found in. More expensive rifles like its older brother the Ruger precision rifle. Something else we really loved was the 70 degree bolt throw as opposed to the 90 degree bolt throw the 70 degree bolt throw allows for more clearance between the knob. And the scope that means. It is quicker throws. It has less room to travel. Something else I really enjoyed about the rifle was its point ability. And we’re still arguing as to. That is a word it is very compact.

And surprisingly economic. This means that as soon as. Ipicked this guy up. It literally points everywhere. Ipointed but to put. This in perspective. Icould hit multiple targets. Iwas moving I mean. We really pushed this rifle. Another suite upgrade. This rifle comes with for free is the Ruger marksman adjustable trigger. You can adjust it between 3. And 5 pounds and I’m telling you it’s better. You expect so here’s. One I’m not sure to put. This in the pro or the con category it’s the plastic synthetic stock. Ifelt like I shouldn’t like. Imean at a glance it’s kind of cheap looking and. It kind of feels cheap but. It was surprisingly ergonomic. It was actually comfortable so. Idon’t know if it’s a pro. You guys grabbed it up hold. What you think leave. It in the comments below ok here’s a slight little con maybe. This is due to the ammunition.

We were using because. We did use some cheap surplus steel stuff but had issues feeding around so no issues with extraction but as. We pushed our bolt forward trying to feed them from the mag into the chamber. We noticed we would get them stuck up there in the feed ramp on the way. It seemed to auto correct itself after like 20. Or 25 rounds but it was a problem at first 7 62 by 39 rounds have a bad rap on the Internet. Idon’t know why but people seem to think. You would have a better chance hitting a target with buckshot. Then a 760 by 39 round but. We were hitting 1 MOA groups with. This guy here so and that’s. What she familes, so I’m starting to think. That maybe more to do with the barrel. Than the actual cartridge. This particular rifle had no problems at.

All hitting that Eastern primer with. That Western firing pin so. We were a little bit concerned. That surplus ammo has deep-seated primers but. This firing pin had no problem in them every time. One of those rifles. Where the pros category far outweighs the cons category, so I’m gonna say today’s keyword is right here. You there’s your keyword for today bang for your buck value it’s hard to beat the fun factor the reliability the build quality at. This price point so my rating on. This guy is 8 point 7 out of 10 crappy Soviet ammo crates thanks for watching like subscribe comment see.

All right this is true patriot au nom it’s been a. While since I’ve done a video last week it’s kind of funny. Igot out here I’ll shoot my new rifle. And forgot to hit play on my low action camera so. You got recorded but it’s going to do quick shooting review on the Ruger American ranch in five six. Now in my tabletop I had mentioned. Ido have a nice ar-15 great gun but there’s. Something about a bolt-action gun. Ijust love I compared a couple of different calibers six-and-a-half Grendel which. Iknow is completely different beast since five six buts. This isn’t a gun I’m going to hump. It I’ve got plenty of rifles. Igo into the woods. And hunt with and the game. We have here in Virginia. Ilove shooting paper five six amo is plentiful it’s inexpensive. And it’s such a fun gun to shoot. Idid change the optics out. Ihad a primary arms optic on. And I’ll be honest with. Igot up here was a day like today kind of overcast. You had your eye I mean it’s just in the perfect spot then. That primary arms object was just kind of blurry. Ijust wasn’t a big fan of. It twice and could not get to work for me. Iwent back to a red field on my 308. Now I’ve got a Bushnell a are three nine by forty on line five six bolt guns which I’ll show. You here in a second. Now with this gun today I’m at a hundred yards I’ve got five-inch little sticky targets. And I’m shooting three different types of ammo we’re going to be shooting the Hornet II still match 55 grain the Winchester match-grade 77 grain. And the quantity two 23:55 grain spire points, so we’ll set the camera up.

And we’ll go down here. And we’ll see. What the accuracy is like we’re going to shoot three shot groups I’m going to start off with the Hornet II still match which. Ireally really love. That analyst great ammo I’ve already got the gun loaded up so. This video may take a. Few minutes I’m gonna have to reload. Each magazine with three rounds we’re going to start on the left hand target work our way to the right starting off with a still match then the winchester match. And then the Hornady the salt tip point so get the camera set up. And we’ll shoot some targets. What happens that group looked really good so. That was the Warner. He still match we’re going to the 55 our newsmen 77 grain Winchester match ammo so. This is 77 grain Winchester match. We just shot the Hornet II still match in 55 great middle targets. Now with the match grade Winchester. That last one was really low for some reason I’m not for sure alright last three shots going to be with the quantity going to be the two to three fifty-five grain salt point so get.

These loaded up three shot groups. This sheets that looked like a really nice fruit so go down here. And check it out the process I’m going to. One of my last videos. You can’t see me but in. One of my last videos. Iwas going to get some exploding targets. That were a little bit better. Imay have found. We may see a pretty good boom yeah but it’s a nice cold day it’s New Years Eve 2016-2017 will be here tonight. Everybody has a wonderful. And safe New Year’s Eve. Most of the time this for the last part of my videos but. Iwant to go ahead you know looking forward to 2017 see a lot of good things happening I just want to pray for military first res ponders their families. We have a safe year in 2017. You know I just want to change. This nation through God through Jesus Christ who is our Savior. And just want to have a good year.

Ireally do so you can see. Isaid a little bit of snow in the background here, but we’re going set up exploding target will go back down will look at the targets. Idid shoot you compare so first. One whore dirty still match it’s a hundred yards about a five-inch little sticky target the Winchester 77 grain match not really impressed. And the Hornady soft point. You can see there’re two shots here. And then two beside of. One down here the Hornady steel match shot a little bit low but there are three shots. All touching that’s pretty good shooting eye that’s the Ruger American ranch I’m telling you it’s a nice firearm I’ve got. It a 300 blackout as well. This is the target that actually initially shot. And then got it dialed in. That was the last shot so doubt. It in at 50 yards I dialed. It in at 50 yards with five six two threes. It dialed in fifty to seventy-five yards.

You don’t have to hold over up to about two hundred yards. Now mind you that’s going to be is. When going to play a factor in the bullet is. It a light bullet it’s. Some factors that play in. It but typically you cite. It in at 50 to 75 out to 200. You don’t really have. Any holdover shouldn’t have. Any issues so anyway we’ll get the camera set back up we’ll go out with a boom. This is a little bit bigger. Iwas told they were supposed to be really good. If they are I’ll buy. More so let’s shoot. What happens It was a pretty good boon. This is true patriot o9. This is the Ruger American ranch five six Bushnell a our optics Redfield scope mounts god bless. All like I always say. Ithink our first res ponders think our military pray for them. And their families let’s have a wonderful 2017 god bless. And thank you for watching.

about an inch And that’s God hey guys. And welcome to Z reviews today I’m checking out the Ruger American ranch rifle. And 450 Bushmaster, so I’ll start off with showing you. What it comes with, so we’ve got the rugelach we’ve got the end cap for the threaded muzzle. And we’ve got the manual. And just some promotional material from Ruger to clear. It to start with heat noise I’ll give. You a run by oven you can just see. These ranch rifles really are short. And compact one here is obviously in flat dark earth. And we’ve got the synthetic stock. Now the barrel on this is only sixteen point. One two inches or 41 centimeters it’s free-floating cold hammer forged steel the end piece here is threaded 11 16 by 24 thread. And we’ve got the Ruger muzzle break on the end there. Now I’ve got the sling attachments at the front here. And also at the rear but a nice comfortable soft rubber kick pad which is going to come in handy for 450 Bushmaster let’s be honest. Now coming back having a look the magazine here is just a three round palmer mag so. You know obviously the 450 Bushmaster is a fairly. You know thick round so you’re not going to get a lot into a magazine there without a really protruding the trigger on.

This is the Ruger marksman adjustable trigger so. You can adjust that between three. And five pounds now the bulb has three locking lugs. And we’ve got a 70 degree throw so it’s going to be able to clear the scope. Everything no problem at. All the safety on it is the Tang safety so just at the back here so. You can see there it’s got fire okay. And just pull it back there. And it’s on safe when it’s on safe. You can still manipulate the action. However naturally you can’t fire. You know on top here guys are there’s a Pirating rail. That comes the rifle I’ve got the Leopold q RW two mounts. And I’ve also got the Leopold mark 4 50 Bushmaster scope with the CTS dial. This comes standard for the 450 Bushmaster so it’ll be very interesting to see. And don’t you know to see. What sort of accuracy. Ican get from now the overall weight of. This is only five-and-a-half pounds. Or just a tad under two. And a half kilo so you know a great brush gun.

You ain’t getting around in the scrub nice and lightweight not a really long barrel on. It you’re not going to get caught up. If you’re swinging around in the thick scrub with. You know to be really good I’m sure for. That purpose now the overall length on. It thirty-six inches. Or 110 centimeters okay so. It is fairly compact. Now the price of these bout eight hundred. And ninety-nine dollars retail price. And the ammo guys look isn’t gonna be cheap you’re going to be looking at about three dollars a shot here in Australia. Now just to touch on the 450 Bushmaster caliber itself okay. What do people think years are just. One of these new fan dangled type calibers look in a way. It is the best way to describe. It is it’s the same ballistics just slightly better. Then a 45 70 but obviously into a lot shorter case okay the advantages of. It as well as there’s a lot of different manufacturers Ruger savage Moss berg bug era. And Christensen arms are.

All making bolt-action rifles chambered in 450 Bushmasters so there’s a. Few advantages there as well. Now the ballistics on the 4570 compared to the 450 Bushmaster is pretty similar. Now the 450 Bushmaster does have a little bit of an advantage so. We take a hundred yards which is going to be probably your average shot. Now the 450 Bushmaster using a 250 grain FTX round is traveling at eighteen hundred. And forty feet a second for 1879 foot-pounds of energy. Now the 4570 at that same distance is traveling slower at sixteen hundred. And sixteen feet per second for fourteen hundred. And fifty foot-pounds of energy okay say we’re about tar four hundred foot-pounds of energy lower at. That hundred yards and about two hundred feet per second slower so yeah does the 450 bushmaster have the edge. You look at it on paper but anyhow guys the real test is going to be. Now let’s get out on the farm.

And chamber a few rounds on. This big boy how much fun. It is okay guys so we’ve only got. One type of ammo the reason for. That is there was just. Nothing else available at on back order so. Icouldn’t get any of the federal ammo, so we’ve just got behind. Me here with the 250 grain FTX round, so I’ve got a target out there at 100 yards we’ll fire three shots through the rifle. And we’ll just see what sort of accuracy. We can get from it well there’s. One thing for certain. You use in a 45 caliber. You can’t miss the holes in Nantucket. Now look at the size of these so guys. Istarted off just doing a. Few adjustments on the scope there. This is the last group there which has come in at about an inch so. You know I’m happy with. Ireally wouldn’t expect much. You know with this setup so. What I’m gonna do now is probably just bring it over yeah maybe about.

Another half an inch. Or an inch to the left. Ithink yeah I’ll bring it over. Another inch to the left. And then we should be pretty much right on. Ihaven’t had any problems whatsoever with the magazine the rounds just slip in very easily okay guys I’m basically at 100 yards here so. What I want to do is to shoot three rounds freehand down there at the gong just to show. You know how lightweight. And versatile this rifle is. You know what it’s made for it’s just shooting off the shoulder. And out there hunting it’s just so much fun. This guy’s hey I must admit. You know I first got the rifle. Ijust didn’t think. It would be as much fun as. What it is its just so nice to shoot from the shoulder. You know and the muzzle brake makes a huge difference there it’s just comfortable white weight just a perfect hunting rig let’s test out.

This CBS system from loophole for the 450 Bushmaster, so we’re sited in at 100 let’s move. It to 2 on the elevation dal. It performs at 200 yards okay, so she’s right on there are 200. Ijust need to bring it over just a little bit to the left. Ithink but um yeah as for the correct elevation I’m really happy with. That’s right on. And that’s got it I’ll tell. What yeah look at that say. You know we got a hunting lightweight rifle here. You know it’s shooting accurately enough out there at 300. You know with this cds system so. You know what more can. You ask for really okay guys I’m gonna wrap up my final thoughts on the Ruger American ranch in 450 Bushmasters. Now honestly I didn’t really know. What to expect I never used the caliber before but geez. You know I found throughout doing the review.

Iwas just laughing and. Iwas having so much fun using this. It was just unbelievable as for the accuracy honestly for such a cheap rifle. Ireally can’t complain about. It naturally have the muzzle brake on the end is a godsend. You know it’s going to tame. That recoil and having a nice comfortable recall pad as well is just perfect. Now honestly if you’re looking at. You know it would be. Something for heavy game. You know like Peaks large Peaks. You know I’d even walk like. One Buffalo over I mean there’s enough punch in. Imean it’s more punch. Then a 45 70, so I don’t know. How much you need just correct shot placement. And a good heavy caliber like. This is just perfect for those large heavy game combination here with the loop hold mark AR scope the CBS system for 450 Bushmasters. Ican’t complain about. Either honestly after.

Idecided in their a hundred yards. It was spot on their two hundred. And then three hundred. It was just that my actual wind age was off naturally. Ihave to adjust for. That depending on the elements but the elevation was just spot-on so. Ireally don’t know. What more you could want from such a budget setup so honestly guys. Ican’t see going wrong. If you’re looking for a really heavy hitter that’s going to be perfect on large game the only thing I’d like to see is just a larger magazine for it. You know three rounds. One up the spout you’ve got four but take. It’d be just nice. You know like a five round mag. Even a ten round mag. You know depending on what sort of hunting you’re doing so yeah.

Ithink it’s a really good rifle. And just set up in general. Now guys the other thing I’ll say to. Us thank you very much to. You who support me through patreon. And also support me through PayPal I’ve been able to upgrade the entire camera system, so we’ve been able to get a lot. More slow-mo especially. That thousand frames per second slow-mo, so I’ve spent about four grand on. That so big thank you guys who do support. Because without I wouldn’t be able to do. Once again thank, and we’ll see on the next review.
