Hey guys michelle here from the house comm and today I’m talking about the 2018 at fisher my ranger 85 women skis a. Great do-it-all ski for an intermediate level rider so it’s really meant for all. Mountain riding i think that’s where it really shines but you can do a little bit free ride a little bit freestyle riding if you like and if you take them in the powder you’ll even have surprisingly good time is a pretty surfy. Feel there so with the profile of this we have a free ski rocker with just a little bit of camber underfoot and that. Rocker and the front is really what’s gonna help it stays afloat on those. Powder days and the camber underfoot is really gonna help that turn initiation and the stability in this now for. Measurements we have 116 under the nose 84 underfoot and 105 in the tail we as well. Have a wintered base on these guys and a. Sandwich sidewall construction so it’s gonna go to very balanced flex which i would definitely agree with i would say that it’s probably a medium stiffness and i think that it was very consistent. Throughout the entire ski now with the nose we have some unique features it is a slim shovel nose on these guys if you. Can’t tell and it’s actually made at a carbon so it’s gonna increase the maneuverability and really just make for chatter free ride with these we. Shiva skis and what kind of skis saw these well this is. The shiva models are the skis that we designed specifically for a free ride news we have three main models the shiva 9 shiva 10 and shiva 11 and of course we. Have a junior version called the shiva team so these are meant to work at their. Best in a free ride environment so deeper snow different conditions etc but. They work fantastically also on piste we worked a lot on the side cutting on the construction for the skis to perform well thin and well in any conditions so what is the key factor that makes these. Keys special and worked really well is the. Layup we used and the type of material and the work we did on the specific material so it’s a rocker camber rocker ski with a slightly pronounced rocker you know free ride oriented and perfect. For deeper snow forgiving easy to use. And we gave it a bit of a forgiving character with this detail layer so it’s a strong fairly strong construction, but we shape this theta layer which we call. Brt in a specific way so it takes away. Some torsional rigidity from the tip and makes for a more playful fun and. Forgiving ski so a bit softer than. In the tip since there’re no teeth on all the way correct a nice tip that helps you when you need to float and also you know just charges. Through stuff if you have broken snow different conditions it just will absorb better anything that you throw at it. Sounds good and if we go to the back. Just the teeth on I’ll go all the way there it’s the same story it’s the same. Story it’s basically the same principle we have here we have in the back also because you don’t want that tail to be too catchy you want it to be again helping you float and helping you as well. Even if you’re in a carving the condition you want to be able to push and let this key bend flex properly in. The words supposed to go and now i guess you hold. Kind of the most versatile it’s the. Shiva 10 here what width are we talking about we’re talking about 102 millimeters underfoot so it’s its a. Good width to do really anything you’d. Like we also have a 9 the shiva 9 which. Is 92 waist width which is slightly you. No more on piste oriented if you will i mean you can use it more it’s more mostly from a mindset point of view more. Closer to an on piste configuration. Something interesting that we did with the our drt is also that we adapted it. To the lengths of the ski and also to the width of this case so you know a 9 you will be using it a little more on piste so you need a little bit more strength and stiffness so as you can see the teta. Goes a little bit further ahead in the tip and as you go up and as you go grow. With the length and sorry and with it shortens a little bit and if you. Go inside of the shiva 10 what other. Materials are we talking about except for the teton oh well we’re talking about of course a full wood core a bunch of different woods in there it’s very special wood core complicated we wanted to keep the wood core strong yet. Light in the right way because you. Now you need a certain amount of weight. To the ski to be able to perform properly what else is there well there’s. A unidirectional carbon fiber in the tip. And in the tail unidirectional that you. Have to explain that so carbon fiber is in many many in many different ways so what we normally see is what we. Call bi-directional carbon fiber so you know your typical cross carbon fiber so. Unidirectional just means that the carbon fiber fibers are laid in one direction only, so they’re going in this case from tip towards the tail as in the. Direction and roughly stay in the tip area and what does that mean then it still is a bit softer torsion ally or correct it’s. A bit softer torsion ally it still it has some strength as far as flex goes but you know it’s a present ski without. Being too strong so does it help tip not. To flap as many does it give it a bit it. Gives it a little bit more stability but at the same time it lets it you know. Come towards you when you’re in deeper snow and let you float properly so it’s. It’s a good compromise of making the tip. Work in the right way and the shiva turn. Here are 172 centimetres what radius. Do you have on that ski so right here. We’re around 60 metre radius in the 10. So it’s very versatile side cut we manage. To work on the side cut so it’s still very playful even when and when you’re in snow in deeper snow but very playful. Also on please and 16 metres then you can do some really quick turns as well yeah for sure for sure and the side cut is set up so that you know you have a nice tip that is free to go when it’s in deeper snow you don’t have that catchy feeling that sometimes hooky but. At the same time you know when you really put it on an edge it will turn really nicely sounds super and what can. You is there a longer length as well on. The shiva tongue yes up to 180 and then. In the 11 which is the more you know free ride purely free ride ski we’re going. Up to 188 yeah i know that’s a lot. Interesting athletes out there that want. To use you know women’s ski alley stock. hello this is blizzard shiva 9 that i. Have been testing today it’s aimed at. Somebody who wants to start getting into skiing a fatter ski 92 underfoot but not. The least bit scary it is really an. Amazing ski very versatile do anything. If you only wanted to take away one pair of skis, but we’re hoping for a bit of powder hoping for something a bit far to give you the flotation but would still do everything you wanted on piste then this could be the ski for you super value as well nice graphics have a go.

Hey guys michelle here from the house comm and today we’re talking about the full tilt plush six boots or I’m here with the full tilt rep john schmoke thanks for being with here with us today thank you for having me in the show so I’m super exciting to talk about these boots um to start i will talk about the liner in these boots, so we have a wraparound intuition liner so what can. You tell me that’s kind of just one of the better features of why it’s a wraparound and what intuition liner really means well here’s another example of it the wraparound intuition liner is. We use more interest intuition on this. Particular liner so it’s gonna be the warmer liner that we have our there and because it’s more intuition it’s gonna be more heat moldable for that customer but intuition liners are the lightest weight liners out there other the warmest liners out there and are totally heated moldable and if i like the. Wraparound feel better because i feel like it covers more different sizes of. Calves and ankles and stuff like that. Super hot which is super important and as super important on the ladies but on the ladies liners that you can see we do have a it’s cut out so it’s lower so. It’s gonna encompass more of their it’s gonna be less problem with any kind of ankle or calf pressure and women coming. It’s kind of complaining about that a little bit experiencing that with their ski boots, so they look nice a very nice solution to that to jump into the next. Thing is we’re gonna talk about this ribbed tongue so it’s super different from what any other company is doing what can you tell me about that well the rip tongue that we the reason we put a rib tongue on there is because has a. More consistent flex out of the tongue and it’s like ripped straws that you can. Buy at the girls shoe store totally when you flex that straw the diameter stays the same and that’s what this the theory behind this is that when you flex it stays the same shape so you’re not deforming the boot or anything and then it gives you a progressive flex all the boots so you can always keep your. Ankle engaged and you can engage it more or less or anything like that you know when you’re out skiing so it’s gonna give you a better performance just because you can keep that ankle engaged and keep all the muscles in the foot working and stuff it’s not going to change the shape of the you’d have to deform the boot or anything like that everybody hung on it so it’s way more responsive is what you’re saying — yes which is super helpful because you know with the warm liner a comfortable liner and a responsive tongue that doesn’t make you work harder than you need to you can ski much longer than you would in another ski boot, so we also have some adjustable features on here i know that full tilt boots are super customizable so with this boot here we do have the six flex which is about a 90 mm know kind of average scale there so it’s a little bit of a stiffer flex but i know that we can adjust that the tongue is that right yes. The tongues we have a flex four. Tongue we have a flex six we have a flex ate a 10 and a 12, so we’ll just. Replace the 12 is a stiffest so if you. Buy this boot and you want a softer flexing tongue maybe for a certain type. Of skiing style you can have that for park riders and i think that and then if you want to upgrade that tongue into a stiffer boot for our free riding you can buy that as another tongue you. Can just replace them very easily and then you can go out and you can have a stiffer feel to the tongue and so you can get more response better power and. Performance all the boot with a different drama tour tongues that we have our there that’s awesome i think it’s really nice to have that kind of feature that customizable is just. Absolutely amazing — and i know some of the straps and about calls and everything are replaceable as well — yes all the buckles are replaceable they’re screw onto stuff, and we use as you can see we use the cables on here the cables. Give it less pressure so the service of. Pressure more evenly out on the boot itself so you don’t have all the pressure right over the buckle and the. Buckles have micro adjustments on them so you can micro adjust those so you can get their best custom fit that you want. Out of the boot for whatever kind of. Writing you’re gonna do we do it on this particular boot — we do have a stiffer material we put at the bottom of the boot so it’s gonna have better edge in side-to-side edge had better control. And then we have a softer drummer. Up in this part of the boot so it rapture on your foot and gives you more comfort yeah super comfortable and then. As you mentioned too if you want to change out the flex um just because if you want to ride park or if you want to do some kind of trick skiing we also have that’s a shock absorbing it’s a. Foot board everywhere okay and yes this. Foot board in this particular boot is made out of a rubber material so it’s gonna if they’re doing jumps or anything daft a more freestyle right it’s gonna give a better feel and a softer landing. On it let’s shock to him or if you’re. Out and you put a ten flex tongue on air and you’re out and you’re aggressive skier it’s gonna be more dampening out there so it’s going to be less fatiguing for you on your boot on your feet and. More comfort that’s awesome these are a truly supreme ski but i know one other. Think that women’s super appreciate with these is just how easy they are to get on and off yeah we have with the tongue. That we have on earth when you unbuckle the boot and take it apart the whole. Tongue basically will flip up and. Totally flips all the way so it’s very. So that’s crazy like that’s super. Awesome i think these are absolutely stellar i know whenever i go with my girlfriends, and they want to get in their ski boots like be right back in 10-15 minutes i gotta go for my ski boots on it really shouldn’t be that much of a process and i think you guys are really eliminated that that problem. For people one other thing is we do have a portion here where you can actually. Change the forward lean is that right this is a four lead mechanism we. Have what are on the back of the boot you can just loosen it up so if you want more for lean or less depending on what. Your skiing style is you can make dam adjustments so even more customers right, and we do have replaceable foot soles. Out of two so you the boot sole can be. And i know both tilt is really popular because they have an extremely comfortable boot that’s really easy to get on and off and i definitely would say that this is a super easy boot for women to get on and off especially i don’t lots of my girlfriends when we go skiing they’re like be back in 15 minutes i gotta go put my ski boots on it’s definitely not one of those boots um so what can you tell me about why this boot is just so easy to get on and off compared to all other brands well. Under full tilt we use a three-piece construction on the full-tilt boot, so we. Have the lord part of the boot where your foot goes into, and then we have the. High back on the back that gives you the support and give you the helps to give that performance, and then we have this tongue and this tongue is separate and actually if the whole tongue will flip open as you unbuckle it so you can see. How it flips open like sol unbuckle the. Food like so and then just lift the. Tongue up and the whole boot opens up so it’s very easy to get into and get off. And then once you’ve gone skiing or you’ve been skiing for the day you can put that all back in you just flip this back like that and you’re basically ready to go and ski and it’s easy to go up okay so. Now to talk about a couple of those pieces i know on this one we have a flex four so that’s about a flex 70 compared. To the rest of them yes correct yes. Correct yes the flex four tongue is about a 70 flexed out of other boots and. We have our there, and we have this is a flex four but you can also get a flex six so you can get a flex eight you can get a flexed hand you can get a flex 12 so for the customers buying this boot if. You want something that’s gonna be maybe higher performance more rigid boot you. Can buy a stiffer tongue or if you want to keep the four where its easy gets. Less shouldn’t bay maybe you’re gonna do some freestyle skiing and you can use. That also so you can customize the flex you want all of that boot okay and so i know you guys have a ton of customizable parts specifically as we were talking about the tongue which is super awesome what their parts on this are customizable well you can the liner itself is this. Tongue liner like this so it’s easy to get on and off yeah it’s an intuition liner, so they’re very warm is all right. They’re a heat moldable they’re very warm, and they’re very light so you can. Hear well the liner itself and that. Doesn’t work for you can also mold the whole shell of the boot is a tpu plastic that we use on it so you. Can heat that up and you can put your foot into it will push out wherever you need to push it out i mean you have to pat it up inside a little bit or something like that but you can push it out so you can customize it or you can just do spot heating so it’s just gonna heat up in one spot and if you got a little binding so you can totally. Customize that at any of your ski shops. That’s are out there so this is already in one or two but if you need it to be a little bit bigger um you can make it bigger yes however this is also a woman’s kind of very specific fit is it not yes it is its lower cut in the back. So it doesn’t interfere with their calf. Definitely longer calves that ladies have out there, and we keep it’s a one. Or two last, but we keep it a more little bit narrower in the hue pocket i just. So they have a nice tight fit on it and the performance and the comfort that they want all of that boot so it is designed specifically for a woman’s last. Adjustable or you can get longer straps on it if you need you know in case you have a bigger tank or whatever you can. Make those adjustments on it too so you can customize that whole boot for your. Foot shape and what you want out of the. Had a ski up the mountain absolutely brilliant even guys what do you what do you think of them well i felt that they were a really agile ski that was so simple to. Ski and pretty much anything really to do so it’s a it’s a great confidence. Builder for somebody who’s transferring from kind of peat ski and wanting to do a little bit more all mountain absolutely i mean the 84 underfoot is. It’s the very much just a natural step from a piece to the bottom side and it’s. A really forgiving easy turning ski it’s its yeah and feels very kind of light. On your feet so very agile good in short. Turns you know we would like to and off we see the one piece off-piste and when. We’re off-piste it was you know very kind it wasn’t throwing you around it was easy to ski and even when the snow was chopped up it still felt really good. Yeah a very definitely kind. Confidence booster absolutely in carving on a purdue feast or even a red feast i mean it’s very stable very forgiving i. Mean the ski just grips and grips excellent.

My third year skiing on the Pandora and i can honestly say it’s my favorite ski. I’ve ever had that early rise in the. I’ll take out and pow but it’s also really fun on a groomer if you can totally carve with it and fries I’ll just power through anything don’t let the 115 waste scare you off from doing a bit of Pandora’s it’s so easy to ski it really helps to make those turns and initiate them in the deep snow and on the service as well they’re fun they’re playful star food quick i use it every day whether I’m in. The resort just driving around giving side of the runs with my friends up in. The back country seeing big line suit powder it’s really fun on everything.
