Hey jay here with bsc today's a little bunch of video we're out the shop because we're looking at this I'm athena book I'm sorry this item here the quantity and one page target now i. Picked this thing up online for about. Twenty three dollars now because of that. We were gonna put it on the hundred twenty-five video but i got an extraordinary good deal on well that story but i got a good deal on retail price on average for this across the. Board it was about thirty-five to forty. Dollars i just have to get this one on sale. Which is the only reason why i actually think that what the heck was given shop was tumbling all my stuff in this. Three-dollar Walmart cooler little salt. And vinegar methods bigger than you and shake it up don't let it sit for a little bit come back shake it up lets it pop over the. Weeks and that kind of stuff so it's kind of messy and i figure what the heck Britain's excuse me $23 we go credit to buy this thing. And just see what happens so just check. All right so the horny in one taste tumbler excuse me ma'am. So we're gonna check this thing out here so this popper open i don't do a lot of. Unboxing this kind of like to see what I'm getting into before i actually do something with it what the heck we'll. Both be surprised i guess so says here. On the box holds up to 438 special cases. Aren't 80386 cases or the equipment like size. Cases so i have high hopes for this. Little thing even though it was like a. Few bucks i guess you get a lid to top. It accessory kit here's the screw shaft. Get your owner's manual. Styrofoam is the base so it's not too. Bad feel story it's not super heavy nice. Big bowl here leave the bulk here. General warnings the warnings base the. Bowl the lid sifter which is this thing. Here this kind of comes with a sifter i. Lost my page here i guessed everything. Needed it bowls base lid scepter quarter. 20 inch quarter 27 ranches a flat washer. Uses mantle not sure. Okay so should be pretty straightforward. Just open up our packet here. And i say shooting straight forward we. Keep on these washes on here. Another washer i notice it has this. Little indent here i don't you see that. Well on camera it has this little end in here I'm assuming cornets with this one here. On the lid so you can pour stuff out. There's no I'm sure it does say I'm just. Not going. I'm assuming it's just so you can pour it out and get rid of the media while. Keeping the brass still inside but then this is ten to four it is I'm sure where. There's a hole in that but anyways now. This looks like it's supposed to fit perfectly in a bucket 5 gallon buckets that's what that's for i think that's pretty awesome definitely test that out i get a bucket so my rank. But anyways so that goes there this goes. On and then our washer your wing that. Goes on top of that yeah corey out. Let's clean up locked ourselves here. Using a hoffman see what she sounds like. It's not bad it's pretty quick we're. Gonna try this i got this at Walmart on. Sale it is crushed walnut cat litter but. It's all natural but it's 9 pounds of. Crushed walnut that i picked up for about $3 so 9 pounds for 3 bucks. Figure we couldn't beat that so it's not. Bad nice of the walnut shell so just try. That do it in here i figured for 3 bucks. We'll give it a shot if that doesn't. Work out then well cats have more. Literature see what she does. All right so that's there i have some. Prints so this is some of the salt and. Vinegar brass that i had I'm sorry no. It's not that's the salt vinegar grass this is just grass that has been d. Capped and sized so we're just gonna so. We will check that out put our lid on so. Actually this is so this what we're. Gonna do we're gonna go ahead, and we turn this for 30 60 90 so 30 minutes. We'll come back check in 60 minutes. We'll come back to check it in the 90 minutes, and then we'll just see where we're at actually we pull pull three these. Out just do a random comparison. We need. Let's keep that on there so now you don't want it too tight because it is plastic so i don't want to break it the. First day all right so here it is the. Morning in one case thomas see what she does. All right so we are at the one-hour mark. It has been 60 minutes since the initial. Start of it let's see where we're at so. I want you to pull it a thirty-minute. Out but it's dead compare that to where. We are now but i didn't oh well you'll. Jump over there alright so this is where. We are 30 minutes to do it is very. Dusty it is a little dirty it does have. It you see here marks but i think that's the actual ground not the media that is. Doing that excuse me to taste. Yeah might be that medium so here we are. 30 minutes or 60 minutes into it they. Are still a little dirty they are dusty. Primer pockets aren't doing so bad. Prepared to is to pick to this from this time so when we've been tumbling and. Then the one that hasn't been tumbled so our primer pockets aren't doing too bad i did not get my flashlight out to look. Inside i should actually do that so. There's that now i was looking at the. Manual well it was tumbling and doing. Some reading so down here in the introduction it says it features the. Case tumbler features of the case now. Excuse me include a three and a half. Quart working capacity thick bowls so the bowl is three and a half quarts then it goes on to a quiet fan cold. Motor with steel ball bearings. Something else pick us back here let's. See oh so now the maximum total fill. Weight is five pounds the unit works. Best with 2 to 4 pounds of taste and. Media cases of media so it holds 5 pound. Capacity of media and cases but it says. 2 to 4 panels that works at best which makes more sense i guess it's kinda like not overloading washing machine what. There's that, so we were at the our mark. Cases don't look too bad i should. Probably try some natural corn cob and see if that actually works better i don't know if i care much for this media but the best need to be getting into the grooves like this primer pocket this looks a lot cleaner let's dig down in. Here in fine. Yeah so the primer pockets are actually coming out pretty good so lighting's not. Very good on but you're not too bad so yeah let's go ahead and write some. More and we'll go from there. All right so we are at the three hour. Mark is delivering we're at two three hour mark let's see where we are. Stuff all right so three hours here's. Where we're at is our case there is out. Timer pocket so our patrol these are 12. Primer pockets these is the luggage is. Clean this is actually not too bad i think that's the one i did yeah so i. Actually use a primer pipe cleaner at one time during 125 video so this is in. A tumbler this has not and i guess we. Could look at another one just in case they did do disturb all those primer. Pockets where the car fell during that. Video so here's another one a little bit. Of media stuck in there a little bit of gum still stuck in there as you can see. Yeah so these are the ones that are just. Now coming out of the tumblr the boys they don't look too bad they're not. Absolutely perfect these this is old brain fest it was actually picked up off the range i did not fire it somebody else did i just. Have to have it i picked it up long ago. A lot of ranges and local ranges will. Allow you to do that does it just suppose work on their part. If you do all the cleanup for them most. Of are more than happy to provide you. With all the brass you can take so well. Put this back on there because i want to test this out so our little hole here is. Supposed to be able to just do that i. Guess if the grass is falling out with it. I don't like that so that was a bad. Example of trying to figure out what I'm. Doing so let's just do this a smart way. And dump it i guess the absolute wrong way would be. To take this bling that off remove this. Wing nut just take the whole bowl off but I'm not going to do that either so let's go dump this whole thing like so. Aggravated as much as possible let's get. Our tote bag here and we'll just go. Through their's still quite a bit caught. In their so these don't look too bad. They are dusty see that's got a lot of. Dust on it they are pretty dusty. But they look alright it looks fairly. It'll fit in this way. now can't get it down there we go seem. To work pretty good flipping it upside. Down with the lid on it seemed to work pretty good so like i said this is. All dusty I'll get these separated. Separated media said i don't know if i. Care much for this media i know I've. Seen people just walnut for us i wanted. To give it a shot if you remember the. Before look has broken down quite a bit. So we'll revisit that nigga today so out. Control is here to go out of box right a. Bucket so tumbled. Not tumbled there's a huge difference. That you can see trying to talk it's a. Nasty tumble with its pretty good. This one's pure this one's not still got. A little more in their maybe and it looks like dust or something — rather so. I'm okay with that now i did do why we're i was waiting. Excuse me yeah little dust my i did these and just. A little bit of salt vinegar bath so through these in salt vinegar a little. Bit of dish soap and it's warm water or. Hot shake it for a few minutes let it. Sit for about 5-10 minutes sugar but i said should we let it sit and then i had to rent it out so this took about 20. Minutes this is the control. This is still wet primary pockets let's. Do this so this is our control page neck. Control salt and vinegar and tumbler for. Three hours so I'm very good 20 minutes tumbler for three hours not seeing a. Lot of difference honestly the. Tumbler worked better with the primer pockets in the 20 minutes are vinegary. Obviously their control + c this was. That this is that but now you know. You're just thinking 20 minutes away to get the same result for mr. salt vinegar you do but you have to little dry so. Whether you throw these in the oven them. Sit for an hour in the oven before you just lay them out on the town with the dry on their own or you just did the air. Compressor out and just blow them out. And get them dry it off real quick now that'll work as well I'm not gonna fire. To air compressor so I'm just gonna let. These dry like this the tumbler self. Work great i like the product hornady. Doesn't make good products and I'm not gonna it anyways i think they're great. Needed i see you actually do look pretty good yeah in the white they look pretty. Decent got some hot some medium some of. These but actually looked pretty good they actually i look fairly clean better. I think than when we started with. Initially I'm happy with them, so they're. Definitely reloadable so. The dollar worked good. I'm happy with it think of a good. Purchase so what's pretty to purchase that thing supposed to the price like i said i got a really good deal on their's some. Places obviously looking at it in just. About an hour ago uppers to seventy. Eighty dollars amazon right now 38 i. Picked up 423 i just got lucky i guess. Randomly I'll just go through and look at different places what I'm starting to kind of be like a pullout and i think i. Pulled this from that pretty good so the. Hey everybody as you saw in my earlier. Cabala's video i bought a hornady case. Tumbler and my lyman recipe book and. Looks like it's pretty extensive on. Everything you know as far as this is. The one i was recommended to buy and. This is the 49th edition so but it's i. Wanted to do my unboxing here my. Benchmark and give you guys the. Opportunity to check this out so as i. Said before i ordered a hornady lock and. Load press for my press just because. Of the awesome deal they had going at cabala's I've been debating on. Whether to do a single-stage or whether. To order a. And you know in the end i just decided. It's I'm only gonna be lugging pistol so. In the end it really doesn't make sense. To me to do anything but progressive. Just for the sheer amount of what the. Progressive can do you know i saw this. One tadpole 696 he has one of. These and that's what's made me when i. Go out and get it that seemed like it was a really nice tumbler for the money and cabala's had it on sale to shit i drove a washer hmm, but we'll see. It seemed relatively quiet and that. Was what i liked about it so it's not. Like its rocket science here you put some media in you put some bullets in. And you go from there so once i get this. Together will. Put some media in there and get some brass going it looks completely. Different then I'll clear the camera to pick this. Up it's completely different than the media tadpole guys this looks much smaller like he was having he was having problems with the getting stuck in his cases and this looks like it's a. Much smaller media so maybe that's. And i don't think he bought standard media so maybe that's the difference. Yeah where this is made this is pistol. Pistol and rifle media it says on the. Boxes its fourteen twenty grit fine so. We'll give it a shot and see what happens so anyway for some medium there. 45 acp which also i didn't know let me. Just show this really quick i didn't. Now for those of you who are starting to reload like myself I've been I've. Been doing some reading I'd always assumed and thought that 45 acp all had. The large primer you won't be able to. See what it says on there but you can see the large primer well come to find. Out some 45 acp has been loaded with. Small pistol primers and i don't know if. I block it out if the camera will show. That any better but you can see the one. On the left has a large pistol primer and the one on the right has the small pistol primer so you got to be careful. And sort your 45 brass because i only. Found one in all of my brass that i. Picked up so but it's definitely. Something you want to make sure you pay. Attention to because you don't want to try to be cramming up 45 or a small. Pistol prime are a large pistol primer into a small case i mean that could. Cause a boom you know that's generally not a good thing so keep an eye on that. I'm glad reading on that because i. Wouldn't have never known to keep an eye. Out for that so let's see what does it say oh. Directions three or four cupfuls. Directly into the media. That's three or four capsules let's five. It a whirl we'll come back and do an. Update and check it out later pretty. Quiet.

Once my local bass pro shop and. We're gonna see how well this. Cleaner so we're gonna do this and it says that it cleans all gun parts safe for all firearms finishes quickly removes carbon dirt grease and powder. Residue probably do about I'm gonna go. Ahead and run it through one cycle see how it do i got a feeling it's gonna. Take more than that because that one. Shot is probably not designed to work on. Ninety plus year old gunk didn't crap. But we'll see how it goes just a minute. Alright here we are down at where the. Ultrasonic cleaner is i have an eye sonic two point one quart it's supposed. To say that's supposed to hold two point one cords but it's actually a little smaller than that I've got the one shot here we're gonna try it now the direction state let's see here shake. Gently before using protection freezing. Alright dilute is a forty to one ratio. Or a half ounce a solution to twenty. Ounces of distilled water tap water. Can't be used however distilled water will improve cleaning action and reduce water spots when drying rinse cleaning solution from parts after cleaning safe for use with all gun parts all right so. I'm gonna go ahead and do that I've already got my parts in here now. I'm not gonna bore you with watching me fill this thing up with water and trying to figure out how much it's gonna take, but we've got that we got the distilled water, and we're gonna plug it in and get. It go back in a second okay so it. Only ended up taking one ounce of the. Hornady one shot cleaning gun cleaning. Solution and 40 ounces of water let's go. Ahead and put it in there we go. Parts are in there now I'm gonna set. This for thirty minutes the instructions did not say how long to. Do it for so I'm gonna go ahead and do one thirty minute cycle and then also on. Top of that I'm gonna set the heater that way it gives a heating. To help clean it all rights so we will. See you again after 30 minutes okay. So it is coming to the end of the cycle we're gonna see how it looks off here. Oh wow look how nasty that solution is. Wow that's kind of surprising i didn't. Think it was gonna work that well obviously there is a lot of crap in. There oh geez hey look at the sides i really scrubbed. Off a lot of stuff it looks like possibly mm that looks a lot better than. What it was the first time or when it went in now wearing gloves cuz i have no. Idea how caustic this stuff is dad focus. Ding you remember this was like. Totally coated black. A lot more pitting and rust that's kind. Of disappointing it's really hoping. What's gonna be like that thing go ahead. And run it through another 30. Minutes and see how it looks after that. All right so according to the ultrasonic. Cleaner company i got to let it sit for about 20 minutes and then i can go ahead and start it up again and i will be back. After the second cycles get done with the second cycle wow that's its still. Surprising me that's my help i kept it. On frame huh sorry guys all right that. Is definitely a lot cleaner because i. Was looking at this thing earlier and i mean it was just caked on with crap. Definitely good yeah i mean for the most. Part looks like it did pretty good but uh still seen some gunk spots and. But considering what it just went through and how much stuff was on it i. Think it's one shot stuff works right. Extremely well. Hey it does have the tick marks on it. Couldn't tell earlier yeah I'm gonna go. Ahead and set this soak this and hops overnight and then get a brush out to scrub it all down but yeah it's it. Actually really surprised me i mean it got a lot of the crap off of it. Wow not bad at all. All right so that horny one shot stuff. In it seems like it works really good i definitely recommend it especially if you're not trying to do. Something like this you know nine decade old parts and stuff for the mosin nag ant. But well even then i mean it's gonna. Really help your cleaning process time. Go down lot less scrubbing your gonna. Have to do — yeah i totally recommend. This stuff is honest i think this stuff worked fantastic like i said considering how it was. Before okay there you go. Workaday one shot stuff fantastic gun. Parts formula if you got an ultrasonic cleaner definitely recommend it now i. Just have to clean out my clear all. Right take care guys. You.

I for anyone who has the horny lock and. Load sonic cleaner and i was looking at this stuff here the cleaning Sullivan to. Go solvent it goes with it i saw this. Container here on amazon and going by. The shake i thought i had an idea of how. Big it was i was a little surprised when. I got it cuz the shape of it looks to me like a yeah looks like rainier food like. That the kind of container radiator fluid going just to give you a size. Comparison ah it's pretty small it's 32. Fluid ounces i wasn't paying attention when i ordered it said i just looked at the shape i figured it was something. Like that there's some nitty-gritty little. Bottle you don't use a lot and it. Says she used about a half ounce for 20. Ounces of water i guess would be enough. To fill that thing up but i just thought. I'd point that out for anyone who was. Looking into this.

Okay so let's open her up using my handy. Dandy kershaw scallion we open the box. And we'll be fine on top is a sippy pan. And then your six pounds of corn cob. Media and under that is one well packed. And inside of the tumbler is your. Metallic brass polish so let's go ahead. And get this puppy set up let's see if we can't polish some brass okay I've. Wiped out the inside there was some residue i don't know if that's from packing or from window during assembly. Because it looks like there's some. Oil there where they assembled via the carriage bolt they're in the washer but. The instructions yes I've read the instructions say to fill the bowl about two-thirds full of your dry corn cob media. Yeah it looks about two-thirds full. I'm guessing yeah i say it's about right. And then set the tumbler on a flat. Concrete surface I'm going to move it from here and move down to the floor. Eventually and it says if you want to. Add your two cupfuls of that brass. Bright polish to each load oops if. Desired so let's do that right now one. Cap full two cupfuls okay not quite as. Clean as i would like it to be but hey it'll work okay add brass c capacity. Chart capacity for two to three is 450 i. Don't know if you can see that right here see if i can get that in focus here. We go a thousand nine millimeters 645. Acp 450 223 or 250 30.6 i have probably. About 150 of them here so you want to. Add your brass. And put the lid on and of course tighten. The lid and let's go ahead and put this. On a concrete surface like it says okay i found a spot on the floor that's close enough to a plug and so i've went ahead. And set it all it plugged it all in made sure that everything's good to go the sheet says if you're just going to clean the brass go with about 30 to 60 minutes but I'm going to polish the brass you want to go more like several hours so that's going to do i put gumby up there to you know give a little ride i know it's not gonna last very long up there but let's go ahead see what happens. No it's like he's swimming oh that's. Awesome go gumby go come to go well I'll come. Back at several hours and see how it turns out okay it's been about i guess. Three hours i guess cops assemble and no company didn't end up staying on their i just put them right back on their see what else he would do. But there seems to be yeah okay. Actually it's pretty quiet well we could. Not hear it from inside the house in the. Garage so it's actually i thought so. Let's go ahead and dump out the media see how clean the brass is ok comes with. This really neat handy-dandy sifter pan this is just a cat litter box container. That we've used it's empty now well be. Have a couple cats so these are actually quite handy for a number of other things as well but let's go ahead and try. Sipping let's see what we come up with i. Guess i could try something yeah all. Right so it's like panning for gold. I worked out really well so next thing. I'm not gonna go ahead and put the clean brass in a separate container just so i. Can separate it kind of figure out when they're doing it next so obviously you still have stuff in the brass but if you look that's actually. Really clean it was actually very dirty around the case mouth obviously because they've been fired the primers are still in them i didn't want to go ahead and. Deep prime and lube dirty cases so I'll. Say they turned out most of these are actually lake city brass because i got these from most of these are my georgia arms ammo box already once fired brass. From georgia arms but like i said it's. All lake city here's a couple this is i believe a winchester so it's a little. But mix but mostly it's going to be the. It's gonna be the lake city brass so I'd. Go through this. All right of course this media is. Reusable it's not like you use it once and you gotta toss it so and save as. Much as oh yeah now as far as the brass polisher it says to add some every time. You do it so i think not really well. There're the media that i have used and i. Think I'm gonna go ahead and do some 45 acp brass cases here my 223 right in. Cases you can see the primers distilling them and let me tell you something this. I think did an amazing job there you. Now if you look really carefully you can see you know some you know spots. Where it's not perfectly clean i guess if i had left them in longer then i think was just a little under three hours it probably would have gotten it but like the case mouths were or. Especially on the neck area they were actually very dark very black. These look great so this is the cabala's. Model 400 vibratory case tumbler i got. The kit so like i said it pretties much came with everything including the media the polish of course the. Tumbler and the sifting basket which is kind of like panning for brass so i. Highly recommend it as far as longevity of course I've only used it once so but initial impressions. Are fantastic so you're thinking your. Getting what i think this was like um almost like 70 bucks i believe at. Cabala's it wasn't it was under a hundred well under 100 i know that much but if you're looking for a brass tumbler and wanted to get a starting kit. Starter kit this actually is very nice so thanks for watching and i think I'm gonna go clean more brass.

Hi big bear 1946 here today we're going. To take a look at cabala's model 400 vibratory case tumbler kit well here's. The box says it arrived here last night. Inside was the case tumbler kit the. Packing list with the read turn order. Label and a sample of allegra the kit. Includes cabala's model 400 vibratory case tumbler 8 ounce bottle of brass. Case polish six pounds of corn cob media. A sifter pan and one page of. Instructions the instructions say to. Fill the tumbler bowl two-thirds full of dry cleaning media then if desired. At about two cupfuls of brass case. Polish. I have some recently picked up brats from the range 9-millimeter the. Instructions say the capacity for nine. Millimeters is approximately one thousand shells line we have about 200. But we'll give it a try now the. Instructions say to set the tumbler on a flat concrete surface which we'll do. Right after we take a look make sure. That everything is working as it should. Instructions also say that to clean the. Brash should take 30 to 60 minutes and to polish the brass several hours so. We're going to take this and put it on the floor for one hour take a look what the brass looks like one more hour take a look at so the. Brass looks like and then a final hour to see what it looks like after three hours of tumbling well after the first. Hour i pulled out a sampling of shells to look at, and they're pretty darn clean i like to of course see them go for. Another hour see if we can polish him up. To a nice shine well as promised here's. Another sampling after the second hour as you can see they're pretty clean and. Shiny looking i don't know how much cleaner they are than the first hour but. They look good enough to me to be. Possibly reloaded at this point they're. Not highly polished on the inside, but they don't really need it I'm pretty. Happy with the way this thing is working I'm also very happy with how quiet it is. It's not very noisy at all well okay. We're going to put these in for one more hour, and then we'll see what they look like it's been three hours now, so we're. Going to empty the media and the shells into the sifter pan. They look very clean very polished. They look clean inside although they're not polished well there might not be 200. Shells here maybe closer to a hundred. And maybe the more shells or the fewer shells might make a difference on the. Outcome but it seemed to do a pretty good job so that was a look at cabala's. Model 400 vibratory case tumbler kit. Hey thanks for stopping by and checking out this video today we're taking a look at the frankfort arsenal tumbler and i. Gotta say this thing is impressive but this is not going to be a long time review i recently got this about two weeks ago so this is really like a first time use and comparison with what i. Started with which was this rock tumbler. Over here so you know you buy cheap you. Bag twice and i only started reloading about six months ago so this is my little champ and this did a lot of rounds but look at the damage to me having to pry open the lid and it's. Really it's not made for brass you know it's made for kids and rocks so does it. Work yeah it worked really well and it still works just fine so hers right. Along it can rumble off the table so I'm. Gonna test that today and see if this one will do the same thing now this was. A scratch and dent open box model from. Amazon so i got it for about 30 bucks off and was a little disappointed. Because it was the first warehouse deal. I got from amazon that was actually missing parts and so i contacted amazon said hey they're supposed to be steel. Pins in there, and they refunded me 40 bucks and was able to pick up some of. This that goes with it so overall i like. The fact that it has a timer that'll shut off automatically know this thing. Let's do a side-by-side sound comparison. First what we're getting into this i used to have in the house and my wife was like what is that. And it's really not that loud let's turn. On this one that's a lot louder. Quite the difference there but it doesn't matter out here because I've got the air conditioner running to dehumidifier running and all that stuff so the biggest thing about this is big. It is huge and definitely made for the. Task of cleaning brass so really like in. The big bold construction of this i mean. It just feels like it's gonna last forever nice grippy rubber inside of. Here and just the capacity alone i got a. Backup in camera to get this thing in frame the maximum capacity i could do in. The rock tumbler i was i could do little over actually about a 100 45 acp and it. Was really crowded so actually couldn't even do this batch by itself i had to this is the last thing i washed in that. So today we're going to oh and i weighed. This and did the math on it this is over a thousand cases of nine-millimeter we. Were just gonna dump that in and see how. It goes. Wow and oh i can't believe that there is. Plenty of room to spare with about 1,100. Of those in there so for a cleaner i. Started using this lemme shine mixed. With a couple drops of dish soap that. Works except for when this goes in the. Water it starts to fizz and bubble it can build up pressure so you have to let. It sits for a while so I'm just going to. Go ahead and dump in this whole thing. For years i used the tried-and-true. Method of the cookie sheet in the oven. To dry my cases after wet tumbling and. This works well i really had no problems. With it other than sometimes with. Bottleneck cases i would end up with a little water down the bottom here. Wouldn't come out because of the bottleneck and after drying in the oven. It would the inside of the case was still damp which of course causes a problem when i put powder in it so I'd. Have to you know make sure that i got all the water out before i put in the cookie sheet and it worked well for. Me for several years a while back i had. A brilliant idea i thought well if i had. A plate that i could attach screws to. And put the cases on it face down that. Would allow the water to run out and dry. Then at the same time so he made me a. Couple of these plates with number eight holes in them even father coated it. Hornady red for me which i thought was kind of nice having and what i do with. These as i put some number eight screws. On the in each of the holes here and i. Just put my cases on like that so if. They're facing down the water would run out and now that actually worked quite a. But better i didn't have the problem. With you know water getting. Stuck in bottleneck cases and having the insides still dance after i. Did the drying the problem with. Using the oven of course is the energy consumption i use a lot of power. My electric bill on months when I'm. Doing a lot of a lot of cases was. Noticeably higher so i decided I'd break. Down and pick up a case dryer so this is. The frankfort arsenal brass dryer it. Hold about a thousand two twenty-three cases about two thousand a nine. Millimeter i believe it is and basically it consists of the top unit which has. The heater and the fan unit in it and. Then below that are a series of plates. That's the whole be the brass there's. Five of them so there're five levels but you can load brass and then of course. Down at the bottom this base unit which will catch any water and whatnot that. May drop down three days from the cases. Works pretty well I've only used it a. Couple times at this point but it does. Actually work quite well and the power. Consumption is quite a bit less than using my oven the problem with my plate. Idea that i had was i can only do a few. A Hundred cases at a time and even though i only had them in their fifteen or twenty minutes I'd still you know for a. A Thousand cases it would still take me an hour or so to get them all dry the. Frankfort arsenal i run for about an. Hour and it dries the case is just as. Well with quite a bit lower power consumption it's got an adjustment to. Heat adjustment at the top here so i can. You know just to eat between 95 and 155. Degrees the increments they have on here. A little weird it starts at 95 and then goes to 106 to. 115 to 120 6 to 136 144 and then 155 i. Thought that was a little odd you know normally it's in you know tens or fives but for whatever reason they have been in. Kind of unusual temperature increments. It's got a three-foot cord on it which. Is one of my pet peeves about it the. Other major thing that i really don't like about it is there's no on/off switch I'd like to be able to just plug. It in and turn it on and off with a. Switch and the fact it's only got a three-foot cord means i have to kind of be close to my power outlet in order to. Use it so a minor issue the way i set up. My bench it doesn't do't work quiet. As well as i would have hoped but it. Does work pretty well the blower in the. Middle here notice the plates here have. A hole in the middle and that runs all the way down through the center of the. Unit so the blower will blow the air the hot air down and go all the way to the bottom and then the air gets to plate the base at the bottom and kind of comes. Back up so it keeps an airflow going all. The way around the unit to help with the. Drying process now one of these coming. Out with one for 2016 it's a new product. And I'll probably pick it up as well and. I am one day loader after all and i do. Have a little bit of brand loyalty but. Frankford arsenal looked a little bit better as far as only has three levels. Vibe 18 cartridge case vibratory cleaner and I've owned this for at least 15. Years and actually i purchased this unit. Secondhand so I'm really not sure how old it is it could be as old as 25 years. Old for all i know i believe they've been making these tumblers for about 30. Years so i think I'm pretty well-versed. With this product to be able to speak on it now this is a vibratory case cleaner. As i mentioned and it's very heavy-duty. Construction now there's a lot of. Different case tumblers on the market, and they vary in price quite considerably, and they also vary in their construction and quality quite a bit and I've seen some of the cheaper tumblers. That are out there, and they're quite lightly built and of course the prices. Are quite cheap compared to this one these sell for about a hundred and. Eighty to two hundred dollars depending upon where you purchase them but i think. That's money that's very well spent because I've used this extensively for. As i said about 15 years or so and it saw us before i got it and it has never. Given me any problems at all so that's money that is you know well. Well spent i think i paid $100 for this. Secondhand which at the time seemed like a bit more than you know might have been. Justified but I'm quite happy that i spent that money back then because like i said its given me all those years of service so let's have a closer look at. This machine it's got a capacity of. About a gallon and a half is gallons. Which is 6 pounds of tumbling media they. Rated four and a total capacity of. Eighteen pounds with media and the brass. Added to it and that equates to somewhere between 200 and 700 cartridges. Cases depending upon of course the caliber and the size of cases i would. Probably refrain from putting too. Much in it because it does tend to slow down the cleaning action a little bit but i routinely tumble up to 500. Nine-millimeter cases in it without any particular problem at all know this is of course this is the ultra vibe 18 there. Are a couple of other tumblers in their vibratory cleaning range which are on. Each side of the case capacity wise. There's the model 10 which is smaller of. Course and the model 45 which is larger this is a nice size with a fairly decent. Capacity for cleaning now this unit as well. Has some features that motor is a. Thermally protected ball bearing motor. One thirtieth of a horsepower and it. Seems to run fairly quietly oh get the. Camera set up a little better here we'll have a closer look at some of the features of this tumbler okay the top of. The tumbler is held on with a wing nut on top of this threaded rod remove the. Wing nut take the top off there's a washer below that the washer has a. Backing on it a rubber backing on it and. One thing you'll notice right away when you compare this to most of the other tumblers which are cheaper is how heavy everything is on it quite a substantial. Piece of plastic for a lid and it's as well. Lined inside with a rubber liner to keep noise to a minimum which is a nice feature some of the cheaper tumblers do not have that type of feature they have a very thin plastic lid also the. Thickness of the polyethylene bowl quite a bit more substantial than a lot of those cheaper brands of tumbler now if. We look inside the machine here a little. Closer up here this one a little bit. There you can see that the bowl is held on by this once again by this threaded rod this runs down to the motor and the. Bowl can be removed if you needed to replace it for some reason or another some people will use have a couple of. These bowls though use one for liquid case cleaning and one. For dry case cleaning I've only ever had experience using the dry case cleaning method I'll just turn the machine on here you can see the action of it when it's running you can see the media roles. Around in a kind of cyclonic effect. Comes up from the outside rolls over and. Goes towards the center and carries the cartridge cases with it i got some nine-millimeter in here at the moment being clean and if you overload these. Machines they do not clean the brass but. As quickly so it's best to make sure that you don't put too much in them you want to make sure that there's that rotation of the media inside there to get a good effect. One thing about these machines is there's no on/off switch on them they start immediately when you plug them into the wall so one thing that i like to do is to use an appliance timer like. This is kind of like the lamp timers except it's got a little bit bigger rating and you've got a rating on. The back here that tells you the capacity that this timer will handle you. Want to buy one of these timers which will handle the rating of the motor so i. Basically like to plug the machine into one of these timers and then i can set. The timer up to run when I'm not around so now the list of the machine run although it's not really all that loud but it might as well run while I'm not here listening to it and then you can run it for whatever number hours you'd like to run it for so that's a one thing. That some of the other machines do have a switch on the cord really no big deal. One way or the other in my opinion whether they have that feature or not some people would like that i guess if you're setting these machines up in a place where it's hard to access the wall socket it's nice. To have the switch on the cord you could always put a switch on these cords if you really needed that feature moving down on the tumbler you'll see that it's mounted on top of this the bowl here is mounted on top of this metal stamping and between the metal base plate i guess. You'd call it and the bowl there is a. Foam rubber piece which is sandwiched in. Here that's to hold everything good and firmly and below that the whole thing is. Sitting on top of these springs a little. Closer there with the zoom so the whole. Think sits on top of these springs, and they are in turn on top of rubber like a. Rubber bushing inside that there's the. Rubber bushing underneath there so that. All keeps the vibration from moving down to the surface that you have the tumbler. Sitting on top of will go back out here. A little bit further and you can see that the base itself here is a steel. Stamping and the feet are rubber. Bought and they have a steel screw. Holding those in place so all in all. Really very robust construction and. We'll flip it over here a little bit. That's the cobwebs under there should clean that up before i turn the camera. On and there's the motor underneath so. The motor is a pretty decent-sized motor. For this type of application quite a bit. Bigger than you'll find on some of the smaller capacity cheap tumblers you can. See this is the weight which is clamped to the shaft that is actually what gives you the vibrating motion that that weight is clamped on and that makes the whole thing on ballast which when it spins gives you the shaking action and these are supposed to vibrate at about. 3,000 vibratory cycles per minute so see. If we can look at the can look at the. Motor tag there and it is osco. Industrial incorporated 115 volts. Thermally protected sealed ball bearing. So given lots of good service so far so. Hey guys going to be cleanin some brass. Today at my lyman turbo 1200 total flow. Tumbler here thought I'd give a little. Overview of it in case anybody's. Interested in buying one of these it has. A pretty tight-fitting lid you don't get. A lot of dust when you're tumbling and. You can see its kind of like spring-loaded the unique thing about this one. Is versus a lot of the other ones on the. Market has this plug you can take out and when it's running a lot media will. Fall out that hole and it comes with a. Pan so you stick your pan under there it. Drains all the media at that time it's. Going to make it kind of dusty then so. You may want to do this in a garage or. Outside or the basement area where your. Kids aren't going to be because a lead content and always wear gloves whenever. I'm working with dirty brass so this. Came with three bags of this media i. Haven't actually tried this media yet I've been using his first walnut shells. I got from a pet store so kind of finely. Crushed walnut shell that's been working. Out I'm ready for a media change. I've probably cleaned approximately i. Don't know a couple thousand bret maybe. More than that three four thousand breast cases. Pistol rounds and before i had to change. The media also i like to put a few drops of this new finished car polish in there. That puts a little waxy finish it. Polishes the case but it also puts a. Little like wax onto the brass and it. Makes resizing easier it hasn't caused. Any trouble I've never had any miss. Fighters on any of the rounds I've shot. Plenty any of my reloads so give you a. Look inside here well that works the way. You can train your media it has like a bowl inside a bowl there's a wing nut. Here that holds a the two together so. That's basically it I'll load this up and I'll get a shot of. That way guys i got to load it up with a couple hundred brass cases just so wrong. So i got some 380 so 357 magnums and some. Nine-millimeter in there another good. Think about this lyman tumbler that's. Right there it's made in usa i did a. Little research before i bought this one. And i heard of some people buying some. Imported ones, and they weren't so good and tumbled a brasserie gotten it in. Last very long so i think you can't go wrong when you buy something made in usa like this so i ended up putting in about. I put in to the bags in there and I'll. Turn the tumbler around take a look at the action. I'll let that go for about an hour -. With walnut' media that I've used in the. Past i let that go about two hours and. That was that real good what i usually. Do all this control. We finished our polish on a couple of. Drips. That'll work itself of them. I was like yeah to the dust on. This wing nut sort of thing is made out. Of rubber so it doesn't loosen up for the vibrations also this has rubber feet. On the bottom so it doesn't skip around. On your counter top or wherever you have it located but it's not a bad idea get a. To get a rubber mat like this put it. Down sir that's a vibrator on him all. Right so come back in a couple hours and. We'll take a look at that grass and see. All nice and shiny there all right it's been about two hours or so and the brass. Is looking pretty good nice and clean so. I'm going to empty out no take this plug. Out and turn it on put the hood back on. So i don't get a lot of us. Once sadder media's i really know you. Tell me want to put some here in perfection in a little bit this points. What I'll do is I'll I'll take the lid. Off you got probably like 90% of the. Media out of there now and basically. It's just your brass but you still have media inside the brass so what you have. To do is turn it on. Yeah. All right guys it is the finished. Product this time i use the media that came with. Alignment tumbler and previously I've. Been using the katie walnut pepper. Letter i notice the brass is coming out. A little lighter with the lyman. Media i think that's going to make a difference but cl yeah this looks a. Little more yellow the brass something. Like lois i don't think it makes a difference but yeah I'd recommend the. Alignment brand if you're going to get a tumbler seems to be had been real. Reliable for me I've had it about two years had no problems with it you know. In about two hours your brass is done if. You want to save a little money I'd recommend getting some of this walnut crushed walnut shells works good. Alright take care.

Hello today I'm going to be polishing. Some brass with my brand-new lyman turbo. 1200 tumbler and i got some media. This is the doughnut it's made from. Crushed load walnut shells we're going. To take that and put some medium through. The bowl put it about half full and i. Started i got a bunch of brats either saving over the years and I'm. Going to do some on 45 this is just some. Pretty rough-looking brass then. Put lid on and take this down till. That's a slight bulge in the middle. There we go little bulb, and we'll plug it in at my. Power cord here. Sound right and i started that quarter after 6:00 I'm gonna let it run for about two or three hours and check. Okay well i fell asleep and didn't get. That gonna check on this so it ran now. Uh three and a half hours later so let's. Just see how it looks after three halves. Hours there we go looks great before and. After a couple of uh we better see the. Difference there you go bottom row the. Top row isn't that his polish and these. Are the range breath is these are three. Hours like kid runs do it's just corn. Cob and do a final polish on but nice. And smooth and clean off right now so. The next step would be a corn plain corn cob as opposed just the walnut here well. I got to sort him out and put in a next. Container and start another batch thanks for watching well they had they've been. Polished now they've tumbled for about three and a half hours and I'm gonna. Just try to dump them off you this. Filters up the cover sister. Probably a better way done. If i had a round container and then he. Had out of a gallon bucket with it i. Could just stick that lid in on a bucket. And then do it that way so if i get my. Wife here hold that one hand so this would fall. I had to make a better way of doing this. The litter you just roll it and tumble it through but let's just grab me a. Dollar if you can I'm not done okay. Start now it's recording okay so I'm. Done here I've poured everything out of here and i kind of shifted it through the lid and i. Made a little bit of a mess you can see. The video and here's the finish brass. This is 45 acp and that's filmed under. Led lighting by the way under my workbench so looks pretty good I'm on. Throw this back into the tumbler. And throwing the rest of my. Hado my name is Courtney watching hammer heart outdoors for today's video i picked up a lineman turbo sonic cleaner. If you hear something that sounds like a little gremlin behind me it's my daughter running around what's up yeah. Anyway um i wanted to pick one of these. Up for a little while but mostly just using a rcbs media tumbler for brass cleaning but the. Nice part about this is i can use this one clean other metal stuff like you. No gun components and stuff like that alright so i picked up two things. There's a basically two types of solution ones usually for like metal like the steel gun parts and then. There's another different one for brass. Right now I'm just going to be taking apart a couple bolt carrier groups for our ars and throwing them in there and seeing how well they do or how well it. Goes cleaning them. All right so this power cable the top a. Little plastic basket and stuff and then the inside essentially just like a. Little metal thing that basically heats up the water solution stuff to clean the metal parts off. Nothing really cosmic at all i mean it. Looks pretty simple a setup and everything like that I'm gonna go get those bolt carriers and throw them into here and see how well. This thing does leave him alone remember i told you he's the mean one it's gonna bite you again. Yeah all right so this is the bolt. Carrier I'm just gonna pull it all apart to throw it all in their i read. Somewhere that and the only thing i was kind of batman this bolt is dirty i. Really only thing i shot a couple. A Hundred rounds to this thing but the. Firing pins all greased up notice like. With this newer bolts especially these bcm bolts like just working in a little. Bit and stuff, and they just seem to operate a lot better yeah this one's definitely pretty gummed up this would take a decent amount of time to clean if i was just doing it by hand but anyway. Like i was saying it mentioned some. People say that this little spring on the inside of the extractor can get broke i guess so i might just leave the. Extractor out of it and just clean that by hand and everything else should be good I'm just trying to think if there's any other plastic parts or i sometimes know extractors will have a little. Like a little rubber grommet and there. And stuff i don't know if it's safe to run that through their i personally just either pull the thing off or just clean. It by hand all right so on the back it's. Got the va's cleaning solution it's got basically the measurements so for light. Duty 1/2 balance to 20 ounces of distilled water 4:41 ratio i want to say this is for. Medium to heavy-duty just because it seems pretty dirty to put one out. To 20 ounces of water so I'm using. Distilled water it mentions that you use regular water but there's this what. Exactly it says tap water can be used however distilled water will improve cleaning action and reduced. Water spots from drying. All right got everything in their i. Didn't put the extractor pin or the. Little retainer pin for the firing pin. In there just because it says about not putting the or having anything i need the parts come in contact with the actual the base of the august the. Heating element but anyway see set 180 seconds for. What's at 8 minutes or i try this. All right so you actually have to turn on the heater separate apparently it's. Supposed to make this buzzing noise are. You went someone needs a diaper change where you gone hey gotcha. Alright so i ran through an eight minutes cycle I'm just gonna kind of pull it out i use the heater just probably uh turn the heater off i think. It only gets up to about 150 degrees and. Be careful pulling it out then 100% sure. How caustic this stuff is so i just put some gloves on the bolt face is still a. Little dirty but right around here where. The bolt really gets a lot of carbon buildup is pretty much like completely. Clean so usually after you shoot and stuff that the whole thing gets pretty dirty i mean that's there just a tiny bit of dirt on the paper towel the inside of. The bolt where basically this part comes. In contact that usually gets pretty dirty toots there's still a little bit. Of keto fits the edges geez the thing is. Like almost completely cleaned off this. Is actually pretty awesome surprise it actually took me this long to pick one of these things up just the ability to. Kind of get this whole like you know all the internal parts of the bolt not. Necessarily the internal parts just the parts that are really hard to get to and it's just really clean anyway the. Only other thing is the reason i went with alignment i normally don't go with one just because I've had some just bad. Luck with their dies and stuff i just think their guys are pretty england just garbage so usually stick with our cbs or hornet. Ii or higher quality reloading stuff but. I like this i like the fact that you just throw the bolt carrier group in a combo swisher you just take the whole turd throw it in there but i don't think you. Tumblr that would only do a small amount. And extend my polishing time and end up. Either buying a second one or buying a bigger one so right off the bat i got. The same walnut' media except this is. Untreated i didn't have a need to treat. This one yet as you see i still got a. Good size so if ever run out what's. In my tumblr and the two cans i can move. On to this like i said it's going to last your life well pretty down dag on. Close to the lifetime now treating the. Media what i do is a don't don't get any. Kind of polish that's got ammonia in it. Ammonia will hurt your brass so what i. Do is I'll take whatever container that. I'm going to be storing it in so let's say I'm gonna store it in this bucket i use wicked metal polish you get them up. Most flying j truck stops you can use mother's there's you can use fits it's. Got money in it put a couple drops in. It covers it up let it air out for a couple of days lets the money evaporate. But with a wicked metal polish it will. Last you a long time to squeeze the bottle one two three drops maybe about. Three dime size drops cover it up mix it. Up real good shake your bucket. Then it's ready to go it's that simple. It's no rocket science or else i can't. Do it any rate i got a big folder can. I've got a mixture of 270 brass and 6.5. Grendel brass and there's quite a bit in. There i just dumped almir ok put the lid. On washer wingnut you don't want to over. Tighten this he'll crack the lid but you do want to get to somewhat tight so it's not rivaling i just go by feel now like. I said you hear this it's going to be a. Little bit loud to begin with once the. Cases fill up you'll notice you'll get. Quite so let me go ahead and plug it in. Ok now right there. It's moving together the cases are. Filling up I've not changed my voice allowing us in any way now it's at its. Prime it's just going to sit there and. That's a lot it's going to get during the whole tumble section session. So before i and let me show you what i. Used to sift my brass with okay get in a. Walmart it's just a plastic bucket made. In china so you know they got to good. Use one I've got. Colander that i drilled the holes a. Little bit bigger a couple more brides. Trying to fill up that the media will fall through but not the brass I've got. Two holes couple of bolts mountains. Mounted to it i picture tumblr up for it. In here the media falls through the. Brass stays on top shake it and you get. The brass out or the media out of the. Brass pick each price up shake it what have you cool thing is there's an opening here once you get all your brass. Cleaned out you pick it up for all your. Welcome to raise your armory as you can see i finally after waiting about eight. Months hornady finally shipped out there. Rotary case tumbler and i got mine from. Midway yesterday if you were the specs. On it as you can see I've already open. The box and here is the tumbler itself. This is the top and screws on it's got. The octagon size to help it tumbles it does come with media stainless steel. Pins and the base is down here i have it. On i have not putting anything in it yet. I just got it last night. It does give by 30 in it minute. Increments all the way up to 8 hours I'm. Actually gonna set mine for about an. Hour we go with an hour for first I've. Been using some dawns dish soap one drop. Of this about a teaspoon of this and. Then down here they got the cartridge. Hornady cartridge case formula i use. About a cap full of that i have some. Stuff to put in there some pretty bad. Brass that need to be cleaned so I'm. Gonna fill it up with water and then. I'll add these stuff in and show you the. Brass before i dump it in, and we'll add the stainless steel pins in there, and then we'll turn it on see how loud it is. And then we'll go from there so let me. Add the wallet hot water and all of that, and we'll go ahead and put the brass in. And go from there alright as you can see I've got. Everything out of it in their stainless steel pins and here is the brass tip I'm. Get you in some light you see how dirty it is and um this is there yes i have it is range. Class it's not a lot just nothing get started you can go ahead and dump that in here. All right like i said it's not a lot. Just enough to fill it in their get this on there and then you just tighten it down. Like i said i did one drop of this. Teaspoon to this and a cap full of this. And about a gallon of water now before i put it on their i want to make sure it doesn't leak so I'm gonna do a leak test. It is leaking a little bit so write it. Down really good might be some meters. Water off so i can tell. Got a little bit of a drip but. We're gonna set it down on here we could. Do it one-handed sits down here. All right that's how it sits on there. And then you just press start. Pretty well review in conjunction with the tumblr it's still going it's got. About 50 minutes this is the media. Sifter from hornady clear top the reason. I like it is not only the two parts but. As you can see it's got this little handle here that when you're getting ready to dump media to keep it spilling on you can push it straight down won't go anywhere so you can dump your. Media and stuff in there your stainless steel pins corn cob if you use that kind. Of stuff lock the top back on put your. Top on and roll it and when you're done. Lock it in pull it off another thing it. Came with this bag so like me i use. Stainless steel pins you can put it over one side of it and drain your water. Dirty water out and keep your pins from. Getting all over the floor or something we'll do a video showing this in action once these are done so like i said they. Got about 49 minutes left so once those. Are done we will come back to that. Alright it's finished running as you can. See it's still warm an important tumbler. These are what it's kind of dirty. See right here the brass was dirty now. It's all clean out this top back on. You know let this brass slips in there. Look at the pins are out you can see the. Brass came up nice and clean I'll shiny. And ready to be trimmed and reloaded one. Of the primer pockets got really clean. So we're extremely dirty before and all. The pins are contained in that nasty dirty water I'll probably rinse this out. Dump the dirty water out contain the. Pins but with this sifter and this. Coming with the pins helped a lot so if. You're looking for a new tumbler and you're wanting to get into what tumbling. Of your brass and start getting clean i. Would suggest getting the hornady rotary. Case tumbler it's new it's on midway they just came in there about 157 i. Believe right now on sale this thing right here is about 32 to 35 dollars. Hey guys lock and load channel here one. Do a quick review for you today on a product that i just purchased as you know i reload and i'm always looking for a better easier way to clean brats. That's probably the one part of reloading that i really do not enjoy is clean the brats there really isn't a good way of doing it i've been tumbling using a corn cob media for most of my. Brass i've got a line of turbo tumbler. It does okay it takes anywhere from two. To three hours depending on how dirty the brass is i like to tumble it before i run through my dies so i don't scratch. The dies so what i have behind me here is i've got some 40 smith & wesson cases some of them i've already tumbled and then i have some that are dirty that i'm going to run through this this new hornaday lock and load cleaner i got. This from midway usa okay it's a sonic. Cleaner there's different ways of cleaning brass this was on sale so i thought i would try it made it sound. Pretty simple and easy i know there's also a rotary method of wet method we. Put your brass in in a rotary tumbler with steel pins i have a friend of mine. That does that and he said that works real well i don't have one of those but. I thought i would try this i've been. Using this this sauna cleaner now for. About three weeks but i'm not gonna saying it i'll let you see how it does and then i'll give you my impressions and then you can make up your mind what you think but let's go ahead get started here i'll show you what i got going and we'll see how it does okay guys here's. What we got going this is the sonic cleaner alright it's pretty nice little. Unit not as big a hopper who i thought. It would have but not too small either. It does okay stainless steel container and it has this little basket here that. You put your brass in okay and then you. Put your solution inside the cleaner and. Drop that down in there and then what it has is a timer here for how many seconds. You want to want to run it to uh the cleaner is one hundred eighty two eighty three eighty and four eighty. Resolved 90 seconds - okay so it's 90. 180 - 83 80 40 okay and then just has an on/off switch so pretty easy to operate you do have to. Use this cleaner this is a sonic it's. Called one-shot a cartridge case formula. By hornaday calls for a 41 ratio or half. Ounce of solution - 20 ounces of distilled water i have a pre-measured plastic cup i use. But i filter the line it's 20 ounces of water and then i add a basically 2 cap. For this one shot - the cleaner and that. Will do you ok what i have here show you. Up close here is 40 smith & wesson cases. That i've taken to the range if these are once fired okay the one on the left. Here i ran through the corncob media and. That's in the regular tumbler and this. Camera doesn't want to focus but it come. Out pretty good come up pretty clean. Okay that's about two hours of tumbling. And then on the left here you see is the. Dirty breath i haven't done anything with it all okay these have not been d primed or anything these are right from the range and like i said i clean these before i run them through my size or die so i've got 20 or so cases of each so. What i want to do is like i said this has already been tumbled so i'm going to compare after a couple cycles in the. Sonic cleaner here what they look like. Compared to two hours in the in the. Corncob media vibratory tumbler so we'll. Go ahead and we'll get this set up and clean and i'll show you how to how to mix it okay what i have here is a. Remeasured cup this is 20 ounces of distilled water now what i've done is. I've used hot water it doesn't say on. The instructions whether you use hot or cold i just think hot would clean better it seems to anyway so i've actually this. Is a hot tap water and then i put in the. Microwave for a couple minutes just to get it get a good and hot okay so it's. 20 ounces of water. And then this is the cleaner i having. This little pan here this is exactly. Half ounce okay so dump that into the. Water and there's your mixture okay so. Next i want to go ahead and take my basket here and put my dirty brass in it. And again this is a brass right from the. Range right from the ground once fired. We'll go ahead and put that in there put. The lid on and i've tried each setting. Here and i found that the 480 works the. Best and again if it doesn't clean it. You know i've actually gone a couple times so we'll go ahead and run that and. I'm back here in a few minutes when it's. Done okay we're back so that's eight. Minutes of cleaning let's check it out so hot look all right not bad look. Pretty good still some grime on them the. Insides are not too bad but that's. That's just after eight minutes okay now again compared to the tumbled ones. Not quite as clean but definitely. Cleaner and if you can see the water there there's definitely some grime. Laying the bottom of that pan so let's go ahead and run it another cycle up 480. Seconds and we'll come back and check be. Right back. Okay got a couple seconds here and this will be done and we'll check them out this will be the second run-through so. This will be a total of 16 minutes. Looking pretty good inside of cases very. Nice and clean you can see that nice. Outsides looking better still a little. Bit of grime it's not bad overall say. They're not too bad now it's compared to. The tumbled cases the tumble case are a. Little bit a little bit shinier now the big difference is though if you look the inside of the sonic case is much cleaner. Than the inside of the tumbled case but. The outside the tumbled case is cleaner than the outside of the sonic case so what we're going to do is we're going to. Go one more round here we're going to go. Eight more minutes that'll be a total of twenty four minutes and we'll see how it. Looks after that. Okay that's three cycles of eight. Minutes peace 24 minutes and generally. That's what i run and i consider the. Results acceptable as you can see. Outside the case is clean inside the. Case is clean i don't have the primers. Punched out yet but that is the other advantage of this over the vibratory. Media tumbler is that it will clean the primer pockets so is one better than the. Other i don't know but if you compare. We'll do a side by side here and i'll let you be the judge okay i got them all dried off here and. On the right i have the brass that just came out of a 24 minute cleaning cycle. On the corner de sonnet cleaner and this. Is a two hour cleaning in the vibratory. Lime and media tumbler so what do you. Think i would say that they're. Definitely both clean the outside of the cases are definitely clean but the cases. From the tumbler vibratory tumbler or shinier okay now that's not a big deal. To me i just want clean cases it did. Take longer to get this and then if you look at the inside of cases as i showed. You before the sonic cleaner definitely gets the inside the cases cleaner than the vibratory tumbler now once once i do this i punch the. Primers up i have dirty primer pockets. To clean and that's a pain in the ass the vibratory tumbler deterred the. Alignment vibratory tumbler will not clean the primer pockets whereas the. Horner day sonic cleaner will so which. Is better i don't think one's better than the other they both have advantages and they both have disadvantages what i've. Decided to do was use both in combination when i first get my. Range brass back after shooting it first. Thing i do before i do any is i usually just throw it in here for about an hour okay let it tumble it gets it clean. Enough that i can run through my sizing die and that's my main concern i don't want any grit or grime on or to scratch the die so i run it through here first for about an hour okay and it gets it. Clean enough that i can size it i punched the primer out sized then i take. The cases and put it into the sonic. Cleaner and run it three cycles which is. Twenty four minutes and it gets it nice. And clean on the inside and it cleans. The primer pocket so i don't have to take the little brush and clean the primer pockets out which on these ones i do after they tumble two hours i still. Have to punch the primers out and clean the primers pockets so as far as time. Saver i guess it's about a draw because. I'm still using this an hour and about almost a half an hour on that so i'm saving maybe a half an hour okay then. You have cost the media this corncob. Media you can buy five pound bag for. Three bucks at last quite a while months. Whereas you have to buy this sonic. Cleaner for the sonic solution for the. Sonic cleaner okay and this runs about 17 dollars for 32 ounces but it does. Last a while i don't know this was $69 on sale from. 100 this was regular price i think i. Paid $69 for 10 years ago so i don't. Know i just decided to use them both i. Still i still haven't found an optimal. Way one-step process i am looking at the. Rotary cleaning that i mentioned earlier it's a wet cleaning in a rotary drum. That has steel pins friend of mine uses. It as you can throw any kuan and you want in there and you tumble it for. Three hours and take it out they look like brand-new cases inside out and primer pockets the media never wears there is no solution to make send you just used on dish soap and i think they use a lemon shine for to make brass nice. And bright so that may be something i'm. Going to look at down the road i thought i would give this a try the other drawback is you can put up to 150 pistol. Cases in here at a time we're in the. Sonic cleaner here as you can see it's. Quite smaller you know you can only get. Maybe 50 cases okay so capacity is another issue if. You're in a big hurry the sonic cleaner. Would be the way to go but anyway guys i just wanted to show you how that works i've seen these put on midway for a while and i thought i always want to try it see how it worked out. Again you know these cases are clean enough to to resize and reload. Definitely i've saved for me the big. Advantage is it cleans the primer pockets now i don't have to mess around with a brush that's really the biggest thing for me so i still use them both tumblin menhir sonic and sonic them than. Air hour-and-a-half total and i got nice clean cases the only other thing the. Only drawback is they're wet okay so you got to let them sit overnight and dry out put a fan on them or whatever but then you do have nice clean cases so all in all they're both. Okay i guess if they have their drawbacks and their advantages so all. Right guys just want to give you a quick review on that let you know my thoughts and i appreciate you watching later.

Hey guys just doing a little review. Today on the lock and load sonic cleaner i have the 2 liter size i picked this up. Probably a couple months back and wanted. To give it a try for reloading 5 5 6 2 2. 3 rounds and i had about 2,000 cases i. Needed to get cleaned up and the tumbler. Was just being drawn out and it really. Wasn't getting down in the primer pockets and cleaning them up real good so i wanted to give one of these sonic. Cleaners a try I'm just going to give a quick rundown on how it works i actually. Want to do some cleaning on 10 millimeters today if you can see down in. Here you can see how dirty them primer pockets are here's a brand-new 10. Millimeter case and you can see that that pockets just shiny as can be nice. And clean and then this here is just you can see the black in it probably going. To do about the eyelid like 30 or 40 of. Then and I'm just going to go ahead and. Dock these in their okay your up arrow. Down here is just your time you can see it'll jump five minutes up and in one minute down or when you push back up it'll go to the nearest your heat. Setting for what I've read it's not. Really needed or really. Recommended for the brass the function. Key this setting here this will just. It'll pulse for a couple minutes to kind. Of get all the air and stuff worked out of the brass and in between then. You're normal and then you hit it again. Well this here's your heat but there's. Your normal setting and I'm just going to set these the smaller amount you work with the faster it will clean them so. With the two to three with the max fluid. In i could probably clean right around 300. Pieces of brass but I'd have to set this. Think twice for a half hour to get it so. Basically an hour's worth of time but if i just put in say 25 pieces of brass you. No i could clean it in like five to ten minutes at the most you know ten minutes max it would pretty much clean all the primer pocket and everything so I'm just going to go ahead and put the lid on this here myself go ahead and turn it on and you can. Probably hear it kind of making a noise this brass in here has just been fired. One time and this is some of the reloads. That i did or hand loads that i did to start out with and of course you can see. How clean the water is I'll go ahead and let it run for ten minutes here, and we'll see how they turn out. All right I've had it in there for ten. Months I'm just going to lift the basket up here and pull it out a case while the. Ones it's setting on its end here i get. The bowl here we go you can see there that it's cleaned that out it's not a. A Hundred percent perfect you can see there's just a little bit in there for ten minutes i mean you might go ahead. And run it i might run another five minutes just if i want to get it perfectly cleans i can see down inside. The casings even that the you can see. Down around the right there. You can see a little bit down or near the primer where the primer pocket. Is and see how many not when there's a. Lot cleaner on the inside but overall i. Mean it does a great job and i mean i. Would recommend it to 100%. My next step is I'm going to go out. These in a cold water bath and let them just rinse off a little bit then I'm. Going to get them to dry them out, and then we'll be ready to reload again i. Would definitely recommend this like i said i this was right around $100 if you. Can find them 100 to 120 dollars and it's just so nice. And just set it in their turn it on and. It cleans you know inside and out not. Just the outside alright guys thanks for. Watching.

Looks like it's even starting to get dry and there is a box that the that's the. Box the tumbler came in and half of a. Minnow trap which I've picked up. Somewhere probably on a fishing trip and. I just closed off the inlet of the. Minnow trap put it in the box. Grab the tub. And there you have that's the easy way. Or the cheap way to separate brass immediate and you just take the box and. Pour the media back in there and there. Yet.

Hey guys gavin gear here from ultimate. Relator calm in this video we're going to take a look at cleaning rifle brass with the rcbs ultrasonic cleaner now in. The last video we use the rcbs weapons. Cleaning solution to clean some dyes and. That worked good in this video we're going to use the ultrasonic case cleaning solution which actually uses. The same ratio from 14 to one highly. Concentrated down to 40 to one diluted. Down to max dilution so I've still got the. Machine full of fluid we're going to start by draining the machine then we'll mix up some solution and start cleaning some brass alright so as you can see. Here I've got the 2-liter bottle in a. Very low-tech manner positioned below. The ultrasonic cleaner and all we. Need to do to initiate the draining is to grab the draining knob and actuate it. So what that's going to do is drain out. Ultrasonic cleaner without making a huge mess which i love the idea of because as. I stated in the previous video whenever. I would clean out my other ultrasonic cleaner it would make a big mess because you basically had to dump it out so. Looks like we're done draining okay so. The next step is going to be to remove. The basket and I'm basically going to just dry everything down here if i was. Going from case cleaning solution back to the weapons solution i might be a. Little bit more deliberate here because that's got a different chemical composition that as i understand it is a little bit harsher on parts we definitely don't want to mix up the uses. Of these fluids because they are. Application specific case cleaning. Solution for brass and weapons cleaning. Solution for metal parts that are in. Grass okay, so we've got the tub and the. Basket kind of wiped down I'm going to. Call that good for this solution. Changeover job throw me rags. Good okay now we're going to mix up the. Case cleaning solutions so I've got this two litres of water here that I'm going to start with I'm going to pour that in. I just double-checked I've got my drain shut that would be very unpleasant if we. Just had a bunch of solution dribble. Across the bench i would not be happy okay, so we've got two litres and again i. Think this time I'm going to go for about the 30 to one ratio got this cap. We need to remove here the factory seal. Okay so we've got one ounce there we're. Going to add a total of two ounces plus. A little i think in this case okay so. We're going to squeeze this it's going to fill us up again okay and add just a. Little bit extra why not. Okay so I'm going to go ahead and. Agitate that when i add the cases. Alright and these are the cases that we're going to be cleaning today this is military 7.62 by 51 the military version. Of 308 winchester. So I've sized and d primed these cases. I've reamed the primer pockets I've. Trimmed the case necks to length and. Deburred them and chambered them so. These cases are grimy they're dirty and. As you can see they're not super clean you know they've got residue inside they've got kind of some black carbon. Buildup around the necks i would like to. See these turn out sparkling clean and. I'm hoping that's what we'll see the next step is to turn the machine on I'm. Going to set my time for thirty minutes. Might as well give it sort of the full time and the temperature I'm going to go up to 131 this time turn. On the heater so it's going to take a little while to warm up see solid red when we're ready to put. The cases in okay so we're up to. Temperature now I'm going to add some cases start with this amount here and. We'll see where we're at this is the. First time I'm cleaning brass in this. Unit i think I'm going to start with that now all we have to do is hit the. On-off button which will initiate the. Cleaning process all right looks like. We're done so these have been cleaning. For a half an hour let's see how things. Turned out we can obviously see some soot in the water there whoo-hoo. Look at that nice and icy steamy and. Shake off some of the water here looky. Looky i got a little bit more water pouring out here still getting used to. The process here because you know I've been a dry temblor here is my first time. Cleaning cases in the ultra so. Okay so look at that we got that looks. Really nice i would say so what am i. Going to do from here i think I'm going to dry these off by oh look at the. Primer pocket on that do you see that and get it nice and close there it looks. Really amazing this is awesome. Anyways back to the drying process i think what I'm going to do is put these. Out in the sun on a towel something like that you know really simple well so far. So good with the brass cleaning in the ultrasonic cleaner it got this rifle. Brass really clean it's probably more practical for a rifle brass where you want a lot of precision in your cleaning. It does help to d-prime first because that's going to help to get the suit and the carbon build up out of the primer pocket area and that's not. As practical for handgun brass but if. You do want to clean hand gun brass in an ultrasonic cleaner there's certainly no reason that you shouldn't as usual. This ultrasonic cleaner have not opened the box I've been good curious to see. What we're gonna find in here together. There we go we've got the instruction manual looks like your kind of typical. Styrofoam cradle kind of thing like knocking down my cleaning concentrate there okay looks pretty nice i would say. It's got a drain or something like that. On the side that's kind of cool okay so. Let me audio this box here it's out of the. Way so that we can see things a little bit better okay, so we've got the basket. Look at that nice stainless steel tub. There we've got it looks like a drain hose now that is handy I'll have to say i have another ultrasonic cleaner it. Does not have any for dances for. Draining so let's just say i don't clean it as often as i should. Okay and we've got a powered power cord. Here okay so that's the basic overview. Of the rcbs ultrasonic cleaner alright. Let's take another quick overview of what's included in the box we've got the drain hose the parts basket we've got the power cord the user manual and of course the unit itself now it's not. Cluded in the box which I'm also going to show a little bit later is the ultrasonic case cleaning solution and the ultra sonic weapons cleaning solution so for the weapons cleaning. Hey guys gabi you here from ultimate. Realtor calm I'm getting ready to load 45 acp on my new rcbs pro checker 5 and. I thought this time i would try something different when it comes to getting my reloading guys ready we're going to use the rcbs ultrasonic cleaner. To ultrasonically clean this brand-new. Die set with some weapons cleaner well. Let's get started what I'm going to start by taking the die set apart so. I've pre-listen the nuts here and what. I'm going to do is just back these. Individually out so this is the plug the. Seating plug for the seating die this is. Going to make it really easy to have everything dry off nicely you can see a. Little bit of copper there i did a test run with these dyes thought i should actually clean them before doing some you know bulk loading that kind of thing, so we've got two seating plugs we've got the flat front seating plug and the. Round nose seating plug and then I'm. Going to take the lock rings off as well. Okay now we've got the expander die. Take the expander body out okay and the. Not again just so that these all dry off. Real easily the nuts are different shapes we don't have to worry about those getting messed up once again we're going to take off lock ring okay. And got the sizing d priming die okay. Now there's a trick to this one you got to take the nut off okay and then you're. Going to screw the decapping stem in and. Then back it out in this manner here. Okay now i could take the actual. Decapping pin out but the holes in the. Basket or larger so i will just take. This apart when I'm done and dry it out now turns out this weapons cleaning. Solution that we're going to be using from our cbs is going to actually put a protective film and anti-corrosion film on these parts so literally all we're. Going to have to do is let these air dry so let's get the machine set up. Alright so the first thing I'm going to do is going to be to add the fluid now our cbs has a range of 14 to 1 all. The way to 40 to 1 i thought we would kind of meet in the middle and do 30 to one I'm using this. Blender jug to measure my fluid. I've got about 60 ounces here don't tell. My wife if you happen to talk to her that I'm using this for this purpose but I'm not going to get a dirty so it doesn't matter so I'm going to put 60 ounces in I've got my dream closed that's always a good idea you know to make sure that we're not. Going to spill water all over the place okay so that puts us above the. Minimum lines handles a total of three. Liters so we've got almost to two liters. There of water and for this die cleaning. Task this is going to be great so it. Looks like our quick dispenser holds. About an ounce and we want to add two. Ounces to be at 30 to one so I'm going. To go ahead and do that and then i think. We can just this is like the rv black. Tank cleaning stuff we can just squeeze this guy we need to looks like a cap on that side squeeze this and it's going to fill the dispenser. Adds more that's about our two ounces. They're interesting smell a little bit. Of air bubbling out there okay now we're. Going to put the basket down in here and kind of mix it up so that our solution. Is evenly mixed in there now it's. Time to fire it up okay the switch is on the back of the machine and because we're basically just. Taking off the protective you know oil. Off of the outside surfaces of the parts. Here I'm not going to go crazy, so we can hit our time button here we can see it cycles through five minute increments. And so i think I'm going to go with five. Minutes we can check our temperature 104. 13 122 Fahrenheit we're going to go with. That so we can turn the heater on alright so you can see that we've got. The solid red light here that means we're up to temperature we've got five minutes set go ahead and turn. This on, and we'll see how things look in. Five minutes. Alright looks like we are done okay so. I've got an old shirt that I'm going to use as a drying station we can just. Remove the basket here but most of the. Liquid drip out and kind of feel the. Heat coming off of that i had a conversation with one of the engineers. At our cbs kent sack remote about this. And he indicated that i didn't need to. Blow these off you can let them air dry. And that protective coating i talked about earlier will keep these parts from. From oxidizing so literally all i need. To do is set these on a drawing surface. I'm using this rag here and it. Should require no further attention. Other than reassembly of the parts so. That's what I'm going to do i think it'd. Be fun to clean some brass with this thing i know that's what a lot of you guys are probably interested in seeing. So in the next ultrasonic video i think. I'll do some brass cleaning and here's. What we ended up with these parts look really good they're not sticky anymore and oily so it'll be real interesting to. See how these function and i think I'm. Going to be cleaning a lot more dyes this way. Well there we go it was really easy to. Clean these dyes with the rcbs ultrasonic cleaner and this is going to prepare us to load 45 acp on the pro. Checker 5 we'll get to that but in the. Hey guys what's up found you here tonight i want to talk about the. Frankford arsenal tumblr that i bought. So it's called a quick and easy case. Tumbler the whole package comes with the. Tumbler itself comes with brass polish. And then it also comes with bucket with. The media then it comes with the actual. Media separator you basically pour your. Shells into there with the media and. Media folds out and you basically just. Left with the cases it also comes with. Obviously a top for the tumbler with its. Parts and so forth and then a top for. The bucket and then it also comes with. These little shields that you put. On the bucket i guess to prevent media flying out all over which unless you. Like spinning, it like a madman it's really not going to be flying all over. The place and i actually found those just to get in the way so i don't really use them but i used to do ultrasonic. Cleaning for my brass before i would. Load them and ultrasonic cleaning works. Well if you get down your method and you. Know exactly what you're trying to achieve and do i would say that it. Doesn't get as clean as tumbling because. Tumbling you're basically polishing the. Outside of the brass whereas when you do. I'll just sonic cleaning you're basically vibrating everything off of. The metal so it's not as smooth i mean. You get the brass clean but it's not as clean and then the other thing is once. You finish actually i could just say. Using that they'll just on a cleaner then you have to let all the brass. Trolley and that take at least you know elite i would but. It took me more than a day on most among. Because especially if you leave the primer and it's even worse if you leave in the spent primer before you before. You clean them then what happens is once. You pop out those primers when you think you're ready to load there could still be water in there and then it gets your powder wet and then you can end up with rounds that don't even work you know they won't fire because all the powder got messed up so out of i guess i out of. Times sake i went with the tumbler and. The other thing with ultrasonic clean. Though is it does clean the brass and it. Takes like 15 minutes but it like i said. That wait time that you have too actually. Be able to load the brass it's its. Actually longer than if you just tumbled the media that this comes with is. Corn cob and it works pretty good I'll. Show you my brass that i have done her. Just so you could zoom in on. Sometimes the camera doesn't know i like to focus. And there we go so i mean it gets them. Nice and shiny and the other thing is to. This type of level of like i say. Shininess takes only like two hours i. Just i think these i did tumble with the. Primers out you can see they're still there's still some dirt in there. And stuff but it's definitely clean enough for a new primer and yeah I've. Had no issues as far as my loadings concerned and using those you can use. Different media though you can. Use walnut shell and there's even peopled. That use the stainless steel beads the stainless steel beads are expensive though they're about i remember what the. Cost was but it was a lot and i was looking at probably like 100 plus dollars in media in a decent size tumblr. Bigger than this but it was still quite an investment I'm going to look into it again but the other thing too is the stainless steel beads last pretty much. Forever because stainless steel is. Stronger than the brass is but yeah so. Like i said it comes with the polish and the chro-cop media and it does it. Gets the job done i guess that takes about two hours the system is pretty. Quiet for what you're doing i mean I've had other tumblers for other stuff, and they were pretty lad this one has good. Shock absorption on the bottom and it. Doesn't do't it doesn't make too much. Down for what it is and basically what i. Do is i just put it on my reloading bench and just close the door and. Nobody's bothered by to my house i don't i don't hear it outside of the whole way so it's definitely good for my. Use and the other thing that's nice too. Is the ultrasonic cleaner can only hold. I think maybe about two hundred brants. Maybe 250 this one can hold about 500. And i think that's definitely a bonus. Now the only thing that i caution you. With is when you do the brass polish make sure that you put the media in put. The polish in and let it run for a good amount of time because if you don't and. The polish is gummed up on some of the. The media and it sits inside the brass. It literally like fuses itself to the brass and you have to go in there with like a toothpick and start on each and every piece of brass you have to go and pluck out all the little media pieces. You have to push them off and that is just total waste of time so you have to really make sure that it blends in good with the media and that's basically it. If you guys got any questions comments. Hey guys got an interesting product test today this is the frankfort arsenal brass cleaning solution so i just ran. Out of lemme shine that i was using to clean my brass and this is the last batch that i did with that it works pretty well it's let me shine appliance. Cleaner plus a couple drops of liquid soap like youtube and the internet. Recommends but yeah I'm curious to see. How this compares so I've got another bowl of dirty nine millimeter brass I'm gonna run it for two and a half hours the directions on this say to use distilled water I'm to keep to go out. And buy distilled water so i did run all of this water through the filter on my refrigerator so I'm gonna use that i measured it off to exactly 80 ounces at. The line here and to that I'm going to add two ounces of the liquid which I'm. Going to measure with three ounce cups. I'm gonna say that's about two ounces so. It's half an ounce for every 20 fluid ounces so that should be the correct. Amount. All right so here is the final result i. Have my opinion I'm curious to know what. Do you guys think i can clearly see a. Difference between these two hopefully. The camera will pick it up but i don't. No post a comment down below which do you think is the better looking brass. For years i used the tried-and-true. Method of the cookie sheet in the oven. To dry my cases after wet tumbling and. This works well i really had no problems. With it other than sometimes with. Bottleneck cases i would end up with a little water down the bottom here. Wouldn't come out because of the bottleneck and after drying in the oven. It would the inside of the case was still damp which of course causes a problem when i put powder in it so I'd. Have to you know make sure that i got all the water out before i put in the cookie sheet and it worked well for. Me for several years a while back i had. A brilliant idea i thought well if i had. A plate that i could attach screws to. And put the cases on it face down that. Would allow the water to run out and dry. Then at the same time so he made me a. Couple of these plates with number eight holes in them even father coated it. Hornady red for me which i thought was kind of nice having and what i do with. These as i put some number eight screws. On the in each of the holes here and i. Just put my cases on like that so if. They're facing down the water would run out and now that actually worked quite a. But better i didn't have the problem. With you know water getting. Stuck in bottleneck cases and having the insides still dance after i. Did the drying the problem with. Using the oven of course is the energy consumption i use a lot of power. My electric bill on months when I'm. Doing a lot of a lot of cases was. Noticeably higher so i decided I'd break. Down and pick up a case dryer so this is. The frankfort arsenal brass dryer it. Hold about a thousand two twenty-three cases about two thousand a nine. Millimeter i believe it is and basically it consists of the top unit which has. The heater and the fan unit in it and. Then below that are a series of plates. That's the whole be the brass there's. Five of them so there're five levels but you can load brass and then of course. Down at the bottom this base unit which will catch any water and whatnot that. May drop down three days from the cases. Works pretty well I've only used it a. Couple times at this point but it does. Actually work quite well and the power. Consumption is quite a bit less than using my oven the problem with my plate. Idea that i had was i can only do a few. A Hundred cases at a time and even though i only had them in their fifteen or twenty minutes I'd still you know for a. A Thousand cases it would still take me an hour or so to get them all dry the. Frankfort arsenal i run for about an. Hour and it dries the case is just as. Well with quite a bit lower power consumption it's got an adjustment to. Heat adjustment at the top here so i can. You know just to eat between 95 and 155. Degrees the increments they have on here. A little weird it starts at 95 and then goes to 106 to. 115 to 120 6 to 136 144 and then 155 i. Thought that was a little odd you know normally it's in you know tens or fives but for whatever reason they have been in. Kind of unusual temperature increments. It's got a three-foot cord on it which. Is one of my pet peeves about it the. Other major thing that i really don't like about it is there's no on/off switch I'd like to be able to just plug. It in and turn it on and off with a. Switch and the fact it's only got a three-foot cord means i have to kind of be close to my power outlet in order to. Use it so a minor issue the way i set up. My bench it doesn't do't work quiet. As well as i would have hoped but it. Does work pretty well the blower in the. Middle here notice the plates here have. A hole in the middle and that runs all the way down through the center of the. Unit so the blower will blow the air the hot air down and go all the way to the bottom and then the air gets to plate the base at the bottom and kind of comes. Back up so it keeps an airflow going all. The way around the unit to help with the. Drying process now one of these coming. Out with one for 2016 it's a new product. And I'll probably pick it up as well and. I am one day loader after all and i do. Have a little bit of brand loyalty but. Frankford arsenal looked a little bit better as far as only has three levels. And I'm not sure that it'll drive it dries. As much brass at the frankfort arsenal also i had the frankfort arsenal wet tumbler i had the frankfort arsenal. Media separator so i thought I'd make it a match set basically you know all. Frankfort arsenal equipment does work. Well like i said i want to use it a few times but it gets the cases dry does its. Everyone this is dan with m1911a1 comm. I've just returned from the range and i. Thought i would share my brass tumbling setup with you it is a frankfort arsenal it came with the case tumbler the media a small bottle of brass polish which I've since replaced with a large bottle of brass polish the three gallon bucket and the. Media separator which you used to tumble. And separate the brass from the walnut shells it's a great system I've been using it for about seven months now i usually take the brass polish and I'll. Put it around the edges to keep it from clumping up too much the tumbler itself can actually hold quite a bit of brass. You'd be surprised it'll start to bog down around 150 shells or so but. Generally it can hold a lot more than. You would expect basically you just put your media your polish and put the lid. On and let it sit for two to three hours. Is really good and you can see it's not. Really that loud but you may want to go ahead and run it while you're not here after you get finished tumbling you can separate it in the. Media separator and you will have clean. Brass ready to be deep primed and loaded. This is actually a little dull because it has case lube on it i use one shot case lube before i run these through my lead load master so i hope you enjoyed.
