12 Good Gun Storage – Range Bags

hey guys it’s Billy the p3 tactical we’re out the range today thought we’d take just a couple minutes and show you a product that I use all the time and really really like and it’s the 5.11

Hello i wanted to do a quick tabletop review of the 511 range ready bag and. Kind of show everybody the different compartments everything i got it in a few weeks don’t haven’t had a chance to get on camera and do a review of it and so now i want to take an opportunity to show everybody what to expect with that type of fat so here is the 511 tactical. Range ready bag i bought some combat tactical gear a few weeks ago they actually had the best price on it but nonetheless i kinda want to show everybody kind of here what to expect with it so here on the front side of the pouch you got two main packs that you got 511 their logo here kind of on a rubberized. Patch here you have two padded front tuck pockets which are separated as you. Can see here and as i spin this around you do have a water bottle carrier or. Whatever you’re drinking at the time for. The side you love to have a smaller pouch and I’ll get into all these games that i support i give you overview you have a larger patch here in the back now all these have dual zippers with grab ropes on and plastic ends. On them here and then you also have an n flanking piece that you can put contact. Information the bag is lost i kind of think there’s this card thing as well as stuff on the side now it does come with a padded strap for the shoulder I’ll. Kind of zoom out here towards the end give you guys a general idea about the biggest bag but nonetheless each one of these bought main pouches here in the front is that the same side open means. Up and what i like about both these bags is at the end of each of the zippers there’s one of those nylon type of. Backpacking straps which prevent the zipper from really bearing out and coming undone so it’s well pitched and then in each chest and each one of these bags here you actually have some decent. Room in here at the stable pocket and these are actually padded it’s tough to show that on camera but there actually is a type of air or pocket foam that’s. Been here for padding so you have two pouches here which are roughly the same size where they have the same size here in the front for various items here then if you come onto the side once again i said they have spots for water folder and it actually had it actually. Had a hole in the bottom of it so that it leaks or anything comes out net i will be able to do it sure of course you can see there the bottom skip seeks to protect the bottom of the bag there is also the side pocket here once. Again padded and it’s the size you can. See pop besides my hand cc size bag here. On the side for it and just like all their other zippers have the nylon stop here on the corner and as we come around. To the main the larger pocket here that. Is actually on this from both sides and the thing on your shooting application actually open out to be a little work bench or workstation you have some area in here although it’s not supported so that to fill with pretty flimsy depending on what you’re using it for and this is not this is not a tatted side you do however have a pretty decent-sized house right here’s where all your little individual magazine holders go if you were to point you can double up some of your 1911 plumbing your single stack magazines in here this pouch here actually between where your magazines going where my fans lighting and is pad so here we’ll topper. The seat once again you can kind of see the different items that you could put across the side there, and then they zip this up I’ll show you the final pocket or kind of showing that off of it and. Here’s your last pocket here on the side for your business card or whatever can go and this opens up and this is. Actually about the same size of the pocket of these here on front so. Front side now as we start taking a look. At what’s inside they actually give you a pretty beefy shoulder strap and like i. Said I’m going to show you what that looks like here a little bit later on and then you can see here this actually. Opens up a bit difficult you know sports bettor kind of application then. There’s this huge 511 flaps with dual zippers and you can see here and here. That it’s protected on the zippers like i said earlier a decent d-ring hooks and then you can see here the clip that come. Our well when it’s a piece of plastic clip in this case with the metal retainer here on it for your shoulder straps then what you can do here you actually take this cord here which opens these nippers at simultaneously and. There’s velcro shut here at the bottom let’s give another file 11 logos here and. Then that just comes undone then i open it up is actually a bag inside of a bad computer now i will say that this is actually permanently attached here to the top of the bag so it’s not like a an individual piece that’s just going to get removed in it’s permanently attached with the zipper here so i have been open this up there’s actually a. Smaller bag inside as I’m i said the big package by this for a little bit so we can focus on the smaller bag so here’s the smaller bag you can see here there’s also a little d-rings here it’s kind of chrome d-rings and it’s a smaller bag and this opens up now there’s a. Smaller pouch inside with a drawstring. On it so you can cinch down on this there’s also a little hook so that you can clip this that you like to collect brass or various other items and look. You’ll see this but actually fluted in the bottom of it there’s like a mess site so if anything dry or you’re. Picking up a lot of wet brass whatever allows it to drain properly so you get that one small bag has like a leather type of bottom with that that mesh. Structure on it more another water bottle whatever you’d like to put in it so you have one of those then you have a larger bay out here and center what i. Like about this is there’s actually removable these women’s baffle sections that are. In there, so they’re actually velcroed on both sides and there was actually padding between them and what this allows you to do is they’re strict there. Are strips velcro or one at the bottom will one at the top that allow you to place these wherever you want they come with two of these in the bag it allows you to put those wherever you want panel what you’re trying to divide up with in your bag then there’s also on either side here and hear their side pouches. And pockets so if i open this up you can see there is pocket here and there’s a. Pocket up here see there both sides with the symmetrically grind and then it finishes that once again you. Got your other little case that goes inside so this actually nests inside at the finger back we’ll bring that back at the picture here and i trigger back once i open this up then. You have a main large compartment with inside the bag then you have padding. Here and padding here and this is symmetrical so then you actually have a section inside here and a section inside. Here so we actually get quite a bit of storage space in here well the only down downsides to the bag that i see it aside depending on how much stuff you put in it’s actually gonna get pretty heavy i mean ammunition and some shooting you know stuff can get pretty heavy so definitely a sizable bag from that perspective and there’s no locking pocket so if you have anything of real value that you’re going to keep none of these pockets actually lock shut per se the way it’s currently. Designed so that’s kind of one of the few drawbacks to it and it’s the only color that they offered it was black at least at this time so I’ll run about 100 dollars maybe give or take depending where you find it like i said i found with a combat tactical let me show you what it looks like when it’s on my shoulder just to give you a overall relative size of it so you can nothing see here if your pull your bag you can see me I’m about five eleven hundred eighty pounds so you can see the size of the bag roughly has compared to my size. So if there’s a decent sized bag once. Again when this is laid down with ammunition and everything else like that it actually gets kind of heavy the thing. On how much stuff you put into a bit for all-inclusive gear bag it’s actually worked really well so I’d like to thank everybody for taking the time to watch this and once again this was the 511 tactical range ready bag that i picked. Hello and welcome to milk it reviews all. You shooters out there you know exactly what this is if you don’t I’m very surprised if 511 is range ready bag it’s. Been about for a number of years they. Are extremely good I’ve got a different. Range bag of its the dusting element i. Think it’s called we’ve been working really well. Someone did this one right because slightly different features but I’m not saying one’s better than the other but there’s slightly different features right now at the end of the I’m gonna crack on with this because there’s an awful lot to this I’ve removed the shoulder strap it’s a simple sort of snap-on shoulder strap with that wonderful non-slip coating on the inside. Right purely and simply just gets in the way for filming right so it’s a shoulder strap and it’s adjustable on either end. Okay so that helps you making your mind. Up then drill right we’re gonna run. Around the outside on this first, and then we delve into the darkest depths. Right on the outside you’ve got to these. Are. 8 by 9 inches okay both of those and. They are 2 inches deep okay they just. Straightforward empty but padded. External pockets okay now one thing you. Will notice if you pull this down. You might see a strap in there and it’s. Exactly the same with this side okay. Exactly the same we’re two men to this. And we’ve got a nice thing of their so. You’ll get probably a 500 mil drinks. Bottle in there so drinks bottle holder there is a grommet in the bottom there to allow any water drainage going on the. And here another padded which is five. And a half by nine inches and they. Gained two inches in depth okay I’ll move on to the other end right. Again these are all padded these pockets. Which is really good because we all know the sensitivity to some of our shooting equipment any better protection we can. Get for it the better right and that one. Again I’m sure would be about nine that. One yep and again two inches things on. This one you’ve got an id panel which is. Really helpful especially when you start getting popular bags like this at the ranch same right and very easily could. You pick up the wrong one now this is the big baby right now this pouch on here is sixteen by two by eight. But this is the one just unzip this. Which is the one you’re probably all got. To be really interested in you’ve got one two three four five six seven eights. Magazine pockets there you’ve got a nice. Big area here four licenses that sort of. Thing thought about you in the states bear licenses are like this they’re big. That’s how can i see i think any when you see these straps in here while we’re. On that like let’s just cover that a bit the straps on these bags right they run. Continuously around the bag they’re not just finished off and stitched here where creates massive stress points right eventually it ends up the failure they go right the way. Around the bag okay so just bear that in. Mind while when you’re buying this sort of thing is a lot of what you go put in their bolts on this is loaded okay so have that extra strength in the. Strapping system is all the better right. Move this back so you shot a bit more with this fold it down this is worth. Mentioning I’m sure you point to that before i said anything it creates a nice clean work platform got doing these. Strip downs right it’s nothing worse than crappy calendars at ranges right. And just drop it on there it’s as clean as you’re a man when it to be so the cleanliness of that is down to you right. We just stick that up now for the inside. This is where this starts coming into its own because we’ve got a removable. Internal bag here right you name it. Right you put whatever you want in there. Write these dividers are adjustable one. Felt chrome sure you heard that I’ve been here worth its weight in gold. Somebody dumped all that though the old brass that you i think that with too. Much of it to do things with or if you’re a reload of if you’re not then there’s lots of it you get a few empty cases in their right and there’s a mesh. Bottom to that right so you know plenty. Of storage space and availability in. Again we’ve got to zipper pockets in. Either side there that’s one on the other side you know it allows lots of. Versatility on the inside of the bag. We’ve got another two side pockets here. So there’s plenty of option to store and. Move stuff around in this right we’ve. Got these months that rubberized feet on the bottom well pretty good well they are really good I’ve met this thing go sliding across plan thirty. Twenty hayes please let me know it’s an. Extremely well-made will present his. Range bag i hope that’s gone into it and. That’s the thing for me it’s thought. It’s designed it gives this gives the. Ability for all of us to sit back and say you know we’re actually getting what we need with this because it’s they’ve been put together by a company that does. Five eleven rains qualifier back here is. My short review of the back like the name implies basically this is designed. For carrying a gun and ammunition and. Other care to the counter reins because. Of the size this is obviously for pistol. Sized cons i don’t go to the diamonds in. Details but you can check them from the net but the site is quite compact not. Too small not too big for one pistol you. Can easily include corn ammunition hearing protection and other small stuff. You may need at the range you can as well. Include more cons of tender space is. Getting small depending on what kind of. Cases or padding you want to use with. Your car and what else you are including to the back in this side there’s pocket. For magazines and other small stuff in. This side there is pocket for corn for. Example and you can open this and use it. As a flat work area. On both ends of the back there are as well. Two small pockets one on each side this. Is the main compartment is like this. There is additional ammo carry back. There is some padding on the back itself. So you could carry a gun without any extra case fabric of the pack is 610. Year all-weather always there so this. Bag is quite durable but not too thick. There’s padding inside this but for some. Reason no padding on the bottom so if. You would carry a cone here there would. Be no fighting here you can see the. Mess pockets this side you can see the. Padding because you can remove it from here also no padding in here’s the. Main compartment padding all around on. The sides and of the bottom but not here. So here’s two ammo carry pack two small. Pockets on the sides padding on both. Sides but not want to put them but i guess that it’s meant that this is. Carried inside the bigger pack so that’s. What there is no padding basically you. Can fit full-sized automatic pistol is like these pockets here and a small. Revolver under let’s say y pins better -. Main compartment if you remove the ammo. Kappa you can fit two pistol cases like. This and there is more oh maybe you. Could get even third one here one pistol. Case and the sun goes black it just. Perfectly all-in-all 511 range qualifiers. Pack is quite durable well-made is to. Carry because the size had a. All the straps but maybe little pricey i. Think that 511 should have padding to. Areas where it’s now missing and maybe. Some kind of model or velcro type. Attachment system inside the main compartment so you could add at items by. Choice inside the back also molar. Webbing to toe outside at least one side. Could be nice but design is quite ok.

What’s up guys are on again from lake heck or scuba marina I’ve got a quick gear review for the pelican air 1615 case know me personally I’m a huge pelican fan I’ve been using pelican boxes for about 20 years now here in the dive industry all the way from my camera’s all the way up for all my scuba. Gear now my personal favorite is the pelican 1650 case the problem with the. 1650 is i can’t fly with it’s way too heavy and it’s outside the dimensions. Allowed by most airliners so i need some type of case that i can travel with in an airplane that will still give me the same durability and protection that i need for my scuba gear so I’ve got the. Pelican air 1650 here and i want to show you some of the neat features that comes with this box so let’s take a quick look alright guys so the first thing that you’ll notice is the pelican air is substantially less weight if you will. Then what the standard pelican series is and it’s because of the technology that’s built into the resin basically it’s a honeycomb design versus just a solid piece of resin here this case here comes in around fourteen point six pounds that’s that’s total weight without foam if you add foam it’s about an extra three pounds so it’s around the 17 pound mark but compared to the pelican 1650 case which is 25 pounds. Without foam, you’ve lost about ten pounds there so it’s gonna make it great for air travel moving down to the latches they’ve also dropped two of the latches off so i still got three across the front but instead of two here on the side I’m only going to have one on each side it’s their typical double throat latches so it’s going to be nice and secure you’re also going to have your little areas here that you can put a. Lock if you want to lock up your equipment if you’re flying you want to put a tsa approved lock you can do that as well or you can just simply zipped out it makes it great for traveling to be able to secure your gear as we open. It up you’re going to notice here in the front that there is a little business card or a luggage tag holder that you can add your personalized tag in if you. Want to along the rim of the case of. Course there is a ring that of course seals it makes it waterproof you’re gonna have quite a bit of room here in the center so you can put just about all your dive gear compared to the 1650 case it’s a little. But shorter and a little bit skinnier. Then the 1650 but it still comes in with an internal dimensions of twenty-nine point five inches for the length the width is 15 point five inches and the. Depth of course nine point three eight inches the exterior dimensions on this. Is thirty-two point five eight inches in length eighteen point four inches in width and of course eleven point o two inches in depth so it’s very. Comparable to the 1650 case but of course it’s made with the pelican light technology so it’s going to be great to fly with all pelican cases of. Course you’re going to have your valve over here so that you can relieve pressure or whatnot if you travel it’s going to have the same durability as their standard pelican style or pelican series of cases mature is substantially. Lighter so it’s even up to 40% lighter than what your typical pelican case is. Moving on to some of the handles here of course you’re going to have a handle on both top and bottom so it makes it easy. To carry if one or two people are carrying it you simply just pull up on the handles and you can carry it does have roller wheels now one thing that they did on this model is they took that big back part off that has the typical carry handle on it, so they took it off. And they actually built the carry handle into the case itself so the bottom is a. Little bit thicker than normal and that the housing for the carry handle is actually built into the back this too has just a typical telescoping handle. Here you just pull out on the latch and that way you can travel with it pull it along the airport or whatnot makes it very easy to do it does. Come with the same warranty as all pelican style cases so you know in the. Very unlikely hood event you ever damage this box you simply call pelican take it by your local pelican diller and know they’ll get it replaced for you so guys it’s a great addition if you’re like me you really like protecting your expensive gear go with the pelican style cases once again the only problem is you can’t get on the airplane they’re way too heavy the pelican air solves that. Problem here you get just as much room with the standard cases — an inch or two here there but you’re gonna eliminate all the weight you’re going to be able to get onto the plane with them as well down in the description below I’ll have. All right you guys we’re back it’s time for another product review today we’re. Gonna take a look at the art one bang range bag so as you can see here we. Make the bang in four different colors we have red dry earth. Black and this blue color. You guys probably seen this before, but we haven’t done the video on it so I’m excited to share it with you so come check it out i have this one set up with some of our range stuff and yeah we’ll. Go through the back so inside this is. Pretty unique you have eight different. Divider spots and these can be moved. With velcro so if you have let’s say. Your ear protection or eye protection you can adjust that put your hearing pro in there and that won’t take up the. Entire bag and then you still have it divided for maybe have extra magazines a. Box of ammo different things like that. And like i said these can be completely removed they can be moved forward or. Backwards to make space for exactly what you need to fit inside here there’s also a small pistol sleeve right. Here so as you can see we have two small. Pistols that easily fit right there and. Then this space works really well for. Some of those smaller loose items that. You want to store whether it’s car keys. Gopro things like that you want to take to the range in these side pockets right. Here there are spare magazine holders a. Small little sleeve behind that for some. Other items and a decent-sized pouch there as well on. The other side you have the same type of. Setup same pouch same sleeve and the two. Spare magazine holders what’s really. Cool about this bag is with these straps. On both sides and this molle webbing you can run scabbards on both the front and. The back of this so potentially you. Could put two rifles scabbards two shotgun scabbards and be carrying your bag by the handle. Or by the shoulder strap and have. Everything you need for the range one more thing that’s kind of unique about this bag is underneath you can. Unzip this and there’s a nice flat. Bottom there you can put paper targets. In here you can put extra pistols spare. Magazines things like that those work really well and then with this bottom. This is a poly carbonate base okay so. This is really nice to have at the range because it’s waterproof it does really. Well with dust and rocks and things like that so if you take your bag and you. Take it off and you drop it down on the rocks you don’t have to worry about your stuff getting smashed because this poly carbonate base will protect it from the mud and debris so this is the drier. Color it’s probably our most popular. Selling color people really like this. On the red we designed for medical kits. And medical bags so a lot of like ems paramedics and even guys that you know. Have stuff at their home that they want to be prepared for this works really well as a medical bag exact same design you know it’s just a different color so. This is the red version of it and.
