Lib Technologies Split Brd Splitboard – Men’s

Okay, so maybe our top line is hyperbolic to some extent, seeing that skinning up the lines of your dreams is never a truly effortless affair. However, it’s safe to say the newest Lib Tech Split Brd makes bagging descents down drool-worthy lines easier than you’ve ever imagined, thanks to its lightweight construction, C3 profile for skinning ease, and directional shape for surfing pow on the way down. This early-release model is the result of Lib Tech’s extensive focus on a split that skins uphill just as competently as it rips down, making it an excellent choice for long days in the backcountry where saving energy is crucial to making one more lap along your favorite stash.

Delving into its board profile, you’ll find C3 is predominately camber from tip-to-tail, with a subtle rocker between the bindings for a bit more maneuverability and easier float—without it being as loose and freestyle-specific as Lib Tech’s original Banana profile. C3 is ideal for a splitboard, as the touring brackets have camber directly underneath to help you gain confidence and control on the uphill skin. Another benefit of C3 is the excellent edge hold afforded by a predominately camber design, especially considering its use with serrated Magne-Traction edges. And because it’s not as floaty as more rocker-dominant profiles, Lib Tech adds a bit of rocker to the large nose, so you can plane across deep powder without it bogging down.

  • Lib Tech’s touring machine devours untouched backcountry lines
  • C3 profile is camber-dominant for powerful response and edge hold
  • Directional shape with large, rockered nose for enhanced float
  • Medium-stiff flex pattern maintains stability at higher speeds
  • Karakoram Ultra Clips eliminate centerline slop and unnerving flex
  • Lightweight paulownia wood core reinforced with beech along rails
  • Triax/biax fiberglass lay-up for torsional responsiveness
  • TNT base is extruded for easier maintenance and repair

Lib Technologies Split Brd Splitboard – Wide

When fresh snow is measured in feet along the local pass, grab your backcountry pack, snow safety tools, and Lib Tech Wide Split Brd before skinning up and ripping lines worthy of a magazine cover. Tailored to the needs of bigger riders seeking a bit more stability and float for devouring the steep and deep, the Wide Splitboard comes in longer and wider shape outlines to provide unflappable confidence in the backcountry.

Lib Tech designed the Wide Split Brd to make bagging descents down drool-worthy lines easier than you’ve ever imagined, thanks to its lightweight construction, C3 profile for skinning ease, and directional shape for surfing pow on the way down. This early-release model is the result of Lib Tech’s extensive focus on a split that skins uphill just as competently as it rips down, making it an excellent choice for long days in the backcountry where saving energy is crucial to making one more lap of your favorite stash.

And because it’s not as floaty as more rocker-dominant profiles, Lib Tech adds a bit of rocker to the large nose, so you can float across powder without helplessly bogging down.

Burton Flight Attendant Splitboard – Men’s

Building on the iconic performance of the original Flight Attendant, the Burton Flight Attendant Splitboard brings a soulful freeride spirit to your human-propelled backcountry adventures. Not quite as stiff and aggressive as the Dump Truck split, the Flight Attendant Split is poppy and playful on natural hits, yet stable and responsive across bigger lines and high-speed descents. Slashing fresh turns between tight aspens, launching stacked pillows, and charging springtime steeps are the Flight Attendant Split’s preferred uses.

The secret to the Flight Attendant Split’s intuition across steep terrain, fresh powder, and hardpack snow lies within its Balanced Freeride Geometry. This geometry combines a tapered directional shape (10mm of taper) with set-back camber and an early-rise nose to deliver effortless float in deep snow, without sacrificing the board’s ability to lay an aggressive edge on sloughed steeps and icy chutes. By placing the camber’s most prominent section along the rear of the board, the Flight Attendant has a powerful feel for blasting turns off the back foot. The prominent camber also comes into play on the ascent by providing extra stability under the touring brackets. And much like a twin-shaped board, the sidecut is centered along the reference stance, allowing you to ride backcountry terrain with a freestyle perspective.

Boosting this board’s eco-conscious credentials, it features bio-based Super Sap resin that reduces the board’s carbon footprint by 50% from traditional boards’ petroleum-based epoxies. Shaving precious weight, the FSC-certified Super Fly II 700G Core decreases energy expenditure on the uphill while maximizing float with its lightweight woods. Squeezebox core profiling thins out the core for increased energy transfer, making the board surprisingly nimble for darting in the trees and ripping carves. Plus, Burton equipped this board with the Split Channel system and mounting pucks, which makes dialing in your backcountry setup easier than ever.

  • Versatile split for slaying natural backcountry features
  • Channel mounting offers easy set up with infinite options
  • Camber with rocker nose offers power with float in pow
  • Directional, tapered shape for aggressive, floaty feel
  • Carbon I-Beam increases pop for boosting natural hits
  • Pro-Tip tapered tips reduce swing weight
  • Infinite Ride makes board feel same after years of riding
  • Ultra-fast Sintered WFO base made with recycled material
  • Item #BUR02J2
  • What’s up this is trevor with tactics and right now you’re checking out the 2020 burton flight attendant design for. Stability both on the ground and in the air the flight attendant features a directional camber profile 10 millimeters of taper and a powerful medium to stiff flex pattern complete with the superfly 2 core and carbon i-beams this board packs power in response for high speeds deep carves first impressions of this board as soon. As i got on it felt super stable i really enjoyed the tapered shape. Especially on edge and where we came up. Here to mount bachelor today and had some really good groomers and then just. A little chattery snow off the groomer and this thing just wanted to charge i think this board would be perfect for anybody whose kind of free ride minded. Who likes to go fast no matter what the conditions are and also is looking for a good amount of versatility this board ride switch really comfortably even with the tapered shape and i have no. Question that in some deep snow the same would float with ease the base was really fast it kept its speed great on. Edge i think the tapered shape and kind of mellow side could really help with that the tail felt really responsive had. A good amount of pop to it wasn’t too stiff not too soft I’m a real big guy I’m like 210 pounds 6 foot 3 and this is. The 162 wide and i was just really impressed with how much stability and landing gear this thing brings being so. Short for a guy my size overall i think. This is a perfect board if you’re kind of free ride minded guy who’s looking for kind of quiver killer board on board that you could ride on any single day no matter what the conditions are is hard pack out here today but there is a couple stashes of fluff and the trees and this thing just wants to grip it and. Rip it like even on the tundra snow charge in like this thing you know you. Get tossed around a little bit but the edge is still right there and it just wants to go if you want to learn more about this board or any other board in the burton lineup check them out at tactics. You.

What about crew we’re down here at the bottom of Kosciusko chair thread though, so we’re gonna talk to you briefly about how this board for us this is the burton flight attendant so. The flight attendants a directional board that means the nose is longer than the tail so actually what i felt is when. I was going in and out of my turns it was even easier to initiate my turns which is really cool I’m really starting to fall in love with directional boards even though i still do like to be able to ride switch and do 180s you’ll find that you can still do it even though it’s directional you can still ride both ways once you kind of know how to do it which is great held up really good speed. When i was carving it really held a good edge i was impressed pop was great as. Well i can really see how nikolas has. Put some input into this and how marc rides it in the pow so this is kind of board for someone who wants to carve around the mountain someone who wants to take on board over to japan you know. You could still add some kickers with this guy but this is definitely not your park board that you’re gonna be riding switch bit more of an all mountain carver bowl surfy feel.

This is the flight attendant split board. It’s the exact same shape as our flight. Attendant inline solid board so every. Burton split board has our proprietary. Channel system and our puck system this. Is the easiest way to set up your stance. Out there for split boards so this is. Lovingly called the back country bow tie it is the setup gauge for dialing in. Your stance it basically locks the two pucks together at a set distance and allows you to dial in your exact toe. Heel adjustment angle anything lock the. Screws down and you’re perfect super easy we also make the flight. Attendants split x this is air out. Mystery construction making it the lightest flipboard that we’ve ever offered.

Hey what’s up guys — j here today I’m. Back out riding whistler blackcomb with kevin we’ve got a little bit of fresh snow overnight there’s some nice pockets. Of powder all over the place accessible with some short hikes and today I’m gonna be feeling out the burton and flight attendant all right guys just got. Gone chasing kevin through a nice little powder run and i gotta say the flight attendant was holding up really well this is the type of snowboard that you can really charge through some powder with just keeping your weight centered focusing on making those turns and not. Having to focus on shifting your weight back to keep the nose afloat this guy is gonna float really well in powder for you and there’s a few pieces in the construction that are gonna make that happen so first off it has a shifted camber so. Camber running from the front insert pack down all the way to the tail with a rocker knows it’s also gonna have a 10. Millimeter taper so just a little bit of a skinnier tail the nose also help and. Drop that back into the snowboard and powder help and keep that nose up but the stance is actually centered within the side cut so on hardpack this guy is. Actually gonna ride and feel more like a true twin even though it does have all those directional capabilities it also has a directional flex so a little bit. Stiffer in the tail than in the nose giving you a little bit more power and responds when you’re driving those turns and powder doing more tactical lines or hitting drops really any situation where. You need more stability in the tail the flight attendant is gonna offer that for you also have that softer nose is gonna make the board a little bit damper while also making it a little bit more buttery so if you want to lay out some butters on the nose you’re able to do that on the flight attendant as well. Another cool little feature on the flight attendant is they put a little window in the nose so in the sun you can kind of see it going through the fiberglass of the board. You’re also gonna find all the high-end features from burton in this snowboard you’re gonna have a wintered base keeping you nice and fast it’s gonna have squeezebox tech which is a milling. Of the core thicker and thinner in certain zones to give it the flex profile that they want it’s going to have infinite ride so it’s gonna have a predictable feel for the life of the snowboarding and overall basically just have all the bells and whistles from burton so definitely one of the flagship. Boards from burton the flight attendant been a lot of fun out here today i as well. Want to quickly talk about the contact points on the snowboard so that’s the. The Widest points on the board where you get most of your control with that shifted camber profile or that camber starts just outside the front insert pack on hardpack snow and you have that camber activated it lifts that rocker knows it. Almost pulls back the front contact point giving you that twin ish feel and making this board more maneuverable and feeling and riding more like a true twin as far as the flex goes on this guy as i. Said it has directional flex feeling. More like a six in the tail and a pretty true medium five out of ten in the nose. As far as rider and mine goes for the flight attendant I’d say more of a. Freebie leaning rider looking for something that’s gonna do good in powder gonna do well in those more technical free ride situations but still like to. Throw some freestyle into their riding and it’s looking for something that’s gonna feel kind of like a twin on hardpack snow on those groomer days that. Sounds like you check out the flight attendant if you’re looking to try some burtons and you’re in whistler make sure to check out showcase board shop shout out to them for loaning us the demo for the day thanks for watching guys i appreciate you we’ll see you next time.

Hello I’m matt guf my house calm and I’m. Here with jesse Henderson from burt’s um where’s welcome back yeah thank you welcome jase is back in town can i walk through. Some stuff we got we’re actually out of great lord the flight attendant this is you how. Many uses five just four five i. Forget but i mean it started in the family tree and it just kind of took off it’s just one of those boards that the. Market was ready for and mm-hmm because it is a killer just all-mountain charger like you know you want one board. That does everything well but if you are. You know living in those western territories are you getting a lot of snow you know this might even be a. Little a little bit better choice than like a custom we’re just we’re just kind. Of hard to say sometimes it is you know nice because of the nose right has the. Balance free ride so against the tapers past the upturn okay so when you’re riding you know on hardpack things like that you know it’s gonna ride very neutral especially you know groomers those days when it doesn’t snow but once you get into the snow, and they start getting deep that’s where that you know wider nose yeah you know taller nose past the upturned that’s where that really gives you that float but you know the body the board is it’s. Camber so try x-class carbon i-beams it. Is a little bit more on the medium to stiff end of things so it’s still gonna hold a really good edge for you guys would like to lay down carves you know and you know ice and hard pack and things like that but you know you get. Into some of that really wet heavy snow like you’ve got anything on colorado or the northwest things like that it just really cuts the roll out of. That chop and a lot of that joiner so right I’ve notified 10 seem to be like this i would summarize it i was like a sturdy board but it’s not it’s not too. Too aggressive yeah it’s not you know. Crazy aggressive like a speed data or custom x but it’s got you know get in the body the board is stiff and camber it’s stiff enough to cut through all that right and the carbon i mean which you can see through them through the bottom is a yeah we’re talking about that earlier it’s just like there’s so much going on in the inside her boards you know it’s like um this gives you a little bit of a. Window you guys probably can’t see it you know to bad oh yeah so i mean. What we do is engineer drain direction, so we take the wood grains we land you know 45 degrees or you know 90 degrees. To the edge here but you know running perpendicular to the edge basically for the length so what that does is it anytime you add you know different angles to the wood it becomes more structurally sound right it just you know makes the board ride better they can use lighter weight wood mm-hmm you know that sort of thing and then obviously we use the you know the carbon stringers and run you know tip-to-tail right so yeah. There’s there’s its kind of weird it’s like you know one of those things it’s like we wish that everybody see everything that’s going on in all the boards but right this is one of those that gives you a little bit of a peak to it so mm-hmm yeah there’s a fun looking board i really like the graph there’s a kind of combination between some like matte finish and some gloves okay. Completely different direction than what we’ve seen the graphic at work still kind of worn you know it’s got some like. Some kind of water and stuff like that so it’s a little bit more nature it’s kind of what the flight attendants been mm-hmm a little bit and probably can’t. See it with the with our shot those get. Lost yeah if you can hold it up to the light it’ll say get lost in it yeah that’s pretty cool well there’s a fun board i can imagine right yep i mean then since it has. Become such a staple in our line as far as like a good go-to all-mountain all-around board it’s definitely broadened you know we’ve got a lot we’ve got wide sizes we’ve got you know smaller sizes bigger sizes right so. Something for everybody on that so awesome well men what would be good it’ll be good to get on this thing again maybe we can get up to bohemian or something go get a flight attendant or something oh yeah cool awesome thanks. For being here man oh man thanks for having me you’re all welcome and thank you guys of course for watching comment a question let us know what you think of the burton flight attendants snowboard this board sells up fast ever see. What gear I’m actually kind of surprised you still have this one um make sure you check them up at the house comm of course subscribe to channel their check them more vids down there and hopefully we see you guys I’m sorry.

Burton Tourist Snowboard Boot – Men’s

From Shasta’s snow-capped rim to the Eastern Sierra’s remote depths, the Burton Men’s Tourist Snowboard Boot is your partner in crime for skinning up the biggest, baddest peaks, then charging down with equal parts precision and poise. Speed Zone lacing tightens the upper and lower separately, allowing you to fine-tune the flex for skinning up and charging bigger lines.

Designed in conjunction with the split gurus at Spark R&D, the Tourist Boot serves up a medium-stiff flex that’s ideal for ripping down steeps, arcing soulful carves, and precarious positions where jump turns are mandatory. Most impressive, it features the most negative flex of any boot in Burton’s line for less energy expenditure on the skin track. It’s packed with the thermally-activated warmth of DryRide Heat Cycle lining and Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil for maximum heat retention on those icy dawn patrols and frigid overnights in the backcountry.

Newly developed for this season, the thermo-moldable Life liner is shared with Burton’s legendary Ion Boot, delivering plush support and extra resistance to breakdown. The liner’s PU-embedded tongue enhances energy transfer while preventing the boot from becoming noodly soft after a season’s worth of backcountry excursions.

Looking to the midsole, the low-profile, EST-optimized design creates better board feel without sacrificing vibration dampening, courtesy of its B3 Gel and ReBounce cushioning underfoot. And because it’s meant for treacherous scrambles along knife edges and bootpacks up steep chutes, Burton equipped the Tourist with a Vibram EcoStep sole, complete with rubber Ice Spikes along the toe for mastering kick-steps into crusty snow.

  • Hard-charging boot for splitboarding adventures
  • More negative flex for easier glide on the skin track
  • Speed Zone laces adjust upper and lower separately
  • Shrinkage tech reduces footprint by an entire size
  • Life liner with PU-embedded tongue and DryRide Heat Cycle
  • EST-Optimized midsole with B3 Gel and ReBounce Cushioning
  • Vibrame EcoStep sole with Ice Spikes for aggressive traction

Great just the outsoles aren’t as good you know it’s like a it’s not a beaver mountain solar sure so depending on your. Budget and what you’re looking for but there’s just a lot of options and i don’t think there’s a right or wrong but. You know like what’s the best performance boot and that depends on the. Person it depends on what they’re looking for and what fits their foot you. Now so try different boots on but some. People like different boots for freestyle riding mm-hmm some people like. Softer boots for freestyle riding people like stiff boots for free riding big mountains i like softer boot so it just depends on which surprised me so much. Feel so it’s your hands i think it’s a personal preference thing yeah why do you like a softer feel your boots. I like comfort i like to snowboard with. My feet yeah the way i turn aboard i. Don’t use the boot that much so i don’t want the stiff boot yeah you know i like. A softer i don’t know yeah i don’t think. It’s right or wrong i just think it’s why sure like you know for me so everybody’s different right and like you. Said you know it comes down to personal preference like every we get a lot of comments in our youtube channel which i love and there’s some sometimes they’re like what’s the best boot for park it’s like well there’s some boots that maybe designed a little bit there’s no right answer you could ride the invader or you. Ride the slx like it doesn’t matter sure you know I’m sure you’ve heard that people that looking for a free ride booth sure what is your favorite. All-time boot ever bottom line like don’t like in the last 30 years yeah either the jamie jones bit. Sure or the the hail was really good. That was a good soft it was really good it was a basic boot at that time it was. Really soft comfortable and traditional. Lace right that was traditionally kind. Of like what the ramping is now yeah but I’ve come to really like bella you know i like they print three liners. It’s really you know i love it would you were saying to about like when you hike back country and do that sometimes with speed zone and lace it’s it takes a little bit longer to undo you the tension and when you’re hiking you just like bend over undo the bow it’s super. Easy nice nun will be a lot to select okay so I’ll just like pop those dials and. Relieve the pressure you know and I’m snowmobiling and then I’m like I’m gonna take a run on my snowboard I’m gonna tighten them up you know yes I’m real it’s nice to have that it’s a good option for sure yeah there’s its amazing thing what burton has done with the styles of fit they have across the entire line so even if you’re getting an entry price point boot they’re gonna fit amazing and you know i. Think one of the other videos we shot was like you they brought up the lacing. To the top of the foot more home comfort yeah and what does that do again total comfort is just be brought back. The lacing about an inch and it just opens up your toe box area so you’re not having pressure over the forefoot part of your foot yeah like your toes aren’t cramped you know sure you don’t want your toes cramped yeah well ladies. And gentlemen um thanks so much for watching dave man appreciate you being here yeah cool leave a comment or question. Subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already and make sure to check out some of the other videos that we shot today with dave downing peace out.

Hello I’m matt guff from house comm and this is a pair of 2018 burton tourist. Snowboard bindings are designed for anyone who likes skinning or hiking in. The back country that were in, and we need to advance level riders i want a stiff boot that has a negative style flex. That’s easier and more mobile while. You’re skinning up the month there’s actually flexed notches within the shell panels along that back side that allowed. To like kind of shift this direction and then same thing along the lateral and medial sides of that mid Stephenson kind of like articulation but not it actually allows the boot to flex in the kind of. Obtuse angle direction but it still has. A good amount of support panels on that backside a little heel counter in the rubberized toe box so when you’re hiking up you can kick your boot into the snow and you’re not gonna worry about like jamming your foot up you’ll see that. There’s actually a speed zone lacing system there’s two different pull handles one that’s tightens a lower. Section one that tightens the upper section generally when i ride i tend to. Keep these upper sections super tight these lower sections of loose for better circulation but it’s great that these things have new england ropes are ultra strong and when you’re hiking up it’s easy to like kind of loosen those things and kind of move about whereas if you’re in a traditional lace it’d be a little bit more difficult to tighten and loosen to ping on what you’re doing in your hike but there’s a cool thing about it you can actually convert these speed zone systems actually into a lacing system there is lace loops basically throughout the boot too and then there’s. Like the stuff on the inside now the tourist features you know a stiffer flex rating even though it has like kind of like fore-and-aft it has a negative style flex it does still have that tough. Cuff liner lacing system that tough cuff. Actually goes up fairly high it has a lot of lateral and medial kind of stiffness and then there’s inside as well. The sleeping bag reflective foil that’s. Reflective foil that kind of reflects heat back towards your body to keep you warmer for longer one thing to note that. Was like i think burton’s website still shows that the tourist has a rebound. Internal it does not as you see you have. Rebounce technology so kind of keep that. In mind than of course underneath your foot is this is a vm eco stepped. Out so it’s the same also that you’ll find in the drive of x this is the most rugged outsole that burton offers there’s a kind of levee a style mid step and then of course is that super. Rugged and dense and really deep people outsole for hiking around this is a boot that’s very mobile. You know what you need some play in it when you’re skinning and hiking up so you can have a good day you don’t want a skin up and basically a ski. Boot so burn a little bit a little. Bit of flex in it and then of course is a this thing this is that life liner it’s custom heat moldable but you can use your body heat to activate its molding properties has perforations throughout so it’s breathable support panels on a lateral medial side without snow to keep the tongue nice and centered and then the inside is actually kind of features dry ride heat cycle that means that if you have a colder section in your boot the. Warmer section will kind of like feed warmth to those cooler sections, so she enjoyed a bars too and then there’s that level to foot bet it has antimicrobial. Coating moisture bikini top ess the pork. Shank a little bit of a heel cradle to it overall though a few if you someone who likes to back country you like the. Skin you want a boot that’s mobile but still rigid enough to do a lot of different things with a lot of aggressive tread you should check out. The tourists and you know again it features that shrinkage footprint reduction technology so this size 11 boot actually leaves an imprint on the snow of a size 10 check out the tours at. The house by just selecting the link below in the description leave a comment or question let me know what you think of these things here subscribe to the channel better check out more vids there and hopefully I’ll see you on snow.

Hello I’m matt guf in house comm and this is a pair of 2018 burton slx all-mountain free ride a. Backcountry style snowboard boots designed for intermediate to advanced level riders i want a great amount of board feel a lightweight boot a comfortable firm style flex and shrinkage footprint reduction technology these size 11s actually have a size 10. Imprint on the snow the sl x boots are. Kind of like the top tier boot from burton that feature fluctuating about seven a little bit stiffer than your average boot but not overly aggressive like the driver x features of course new. England ropes with the speed zone pull handles there’re two zones and you can tighten the upper and lower zone and i usually we’re gonna ride the sol axis i have this extremely tight this is a little bit more loose so i can get better circulation in my feet the upper has actually been upgraded this season 2018 for sl x with the new ultra weave. Shall this is the same shell or similar show to what you’ll find in the old mighty boot except where this has a more tight style weave it’s actually really light to a touch and of course it has it reduces overall month weights that burden has in a manufacturing process with an ultra weave and also as i nice little grippy style back stain with little nubs then really keep the heel pocket like locked in against the back of the boot underneath your foot is. Actually an awesome outsole this is a veer am x wing style also extra kind of. Hard style rubber in those much-needed areas they still have a lightweight va. Styled mid sole and then inside is actually a rebounce cushioning that helps to absorb negative. Vibrations and impact and sleeping bag. Reflective foil that reflects heat back toward your body instead of it being lost throughout the under section of the boot another cool thing about what can. Happen on the inside of the boot is are these heel inserts now these heel inserts do two things the first one it helps to absorb a little bit more shock in landings if you’re like doing cliff jumps or whatever but also provide just. A little bit of tilt and I’ve written boots to have like what’s called drop where you know it’s a couple millimeter drop in the toe area or it feels like you’re kind of anger a little bit i kind of like that especially for free riding because it gives a little bit more of like a for a natural style forward lean so that’s a. Kind of cool little additional piece to the slx that i don’t think any other boots within the line have also on the. Inside is going to be a great tough cuff now this cuff system actually wrapped around this life liner it’s a little bit taller a little bit firmer support and goes well past the ankle and then of. Course this is the next big thing this is the life liner the liner was i. Believe upgraded or introduced to the burton line two years ago it’s very breathable and has external style support panels velcro closures with the. Tongue centered and then dry ride heat cyclic technology that regulates where the heat is in your boot so you don’t get cold or hot spots and then inside of. That of course it’s going to be a level 3 footbeds now this is a big step up from the level 2 it still has the ess support. Shank a little bit more structure for support underneath your arch and of course a heel cradle and then a dual density style padding to absorb a little bit more impact um these are comfortable boots again they’re not too. Stiff you know they’re about a 7 on that flex rating scale they have the ultra we’ve new shell fabric and an awesome life liner and of course their heat moldable this is an awesome boob slx. Basically if you see someone riding this they really know what’s going on it’s snowboarding hopefully they can have the skills to kind of match up to how great these boots are this is the 2018 burton. Slx an awesome boot that you can find at the house calm i select in the link below leave a comment or question let us know what do you think of these awesome things i think they look pretty sweet actually and subscribe the channel there. And watch more videos their thanks for watching and hopefully I’ll see you guys on snow.

Everybody sue-shaun thinker Montcalm we. Have a really cool split board specific. Boot review for you it’s the burton tourist boot we’ve tested up i think. Crunch everywhere boot for split boarding the season except for this one so this is pretty exciting stuff we’ve got about three days on them, and they’re really comfortable burton calls them amidst if i would call them mid. Because they flex more than any boot we’ve been using that’s not a bad thing. It’s just a comfort thing oh I’d say. It’s price six out of ten whereas most their ones the boots are very durable. They’re based on the ion they’ve a vibram sole as you expect they are very. Comfortable out of the box they have a nice liner they have a coil on the bottom of the insole below the footbed. That’s supposed to keep heat up and keep. Your feet warm and i haven’t had a guess. You’ve been being cold the fit for me. It’s great size eleven if you like a size 11 all right now the specs very. Thoughtful other typical features you. Find split for boots they do have reinforced toe cap right there. Nice view broom sole heel about like the. Fit well or the jones mtb those will be. Much more rewarding for the crew who. Uses crampons and gets after it this is. More of a person who rides in bounds. They’re great boots for in bonds as well as split board tours and it suits. Their needs most of the time flex wise you can see this neoprene panel right here so it allows for quite a bit of flex yeah and then the part that. Everybody’s probably curious about the. Panel here this negative flex it allows. That’s pretty impressive so allows for a long gated strides when you’re touring. Which makes things way more efficient only downside is there’s no way to lock that in place so you do lose a little. Bit of structural integrity in the boot of course your high back should be right about here anyways and should apply the. Rigidity you need but that’s not always the case so other boots have similar. Features but they involve straps boas or. Some kind of mechanism that i feel would. Probably break over time broken but. Every company is doing their best to redesign things and make them better so. I guess it’s a toss-up do you want a boot you just put in your foot get after. It and have a little more play and have a little more flex and have comfort. Right away then the burton Taurus is. Probably for you if you want to boot that’s stiffer more responsive. Strap and or semi-auto crimp-on. Compatible and you’re gonna be you know. Climb in it the carry pickaxe i don’t. Want these there’s other boots out there. For that but for most people these boots would be totally sufficient and i just. Kind of you know a thousand two hundred. Feet and they were comfortable and to me. That’s the biggest issue is finding a boot that’s comfortable for the user and. These boots are comfortable for me and the price points just about right we’ll have links on where to purchase them they’re available right now, so we’ll. Have all the specs all the details all the product information on and gamer comm as well as we’ll do the research for you where the best place to buy them for the best prices all right it’s a song with anchormen calm hope provides a safe and wonderful season it’s snowing. So I’m gonna go split borden. You.

Checking out our swath speed zone in. Bello boots here and all-new offering in the men’s line for burton boots this is. A great mid flexing lightweight offering. It’s great for somebody that wants to be doing park laps over and over again all season or for somebody that’s taking groomers and just wants a nice soft super comfy boot straight out of the box we have it both in dual boa and. Rossignol XV Splitboard Voile Kit – Men’s

Designed to access and ride the gnarliest, steepest, and most remote big-mountain lines, the Rossignol XV Splitboard Voile Kit features high-powered construction and a nearly unsinkable shape to push freeriding to the next level. This board is built to handle Xavier’s aggressive riding style, featuring a tapered directional shape so you can point it down steeps without the nose diving under icy crusts or submerging in waist-deep powder. As expected, its stiff flex ensures maximum stability at speeds that would simply overwhelm other boards.

Tailored to Xavier’s riding style, the board’s flex pattern is inverted, meaning it’s stiffest along the nose and slightly softer along the tail. This inverted flex pattern delivers the stability needed to charge over chop without being bucked off balance. The XV is predominately camber along the board’s effective edge, with rocker at the nose and tail for increased float and catch-free turns across hardpack. Roller Tip upturns the base along the nose, subtly redirecting snow for smoother tracking. Magne-Traction serrated edges grip onto ice and bulletproof snow without slipping out. Other notable features include basalt fibers for increased pop and damping, and an Aramid reinforcement that smooths out unnerving chatter when you’re hauling at serious speeds.

  • Aggressive split for charging big-mountain lines
  • Hybrid profile for balance of power and float
  • Stiff flex offers unmatched stability and response
  • Tapered directional shape keeps the nose from submerging
  • Basalt fibers increase snap and energy transfer

  • Includes Voile clips and split kit

  • The euro signal xv magtec split board. Is the pro model of split border and. Big-mountain pioneer xavier de la rue. This board is designed for powder it is. A directional split board that really loves to rip pal the board is. Made to float on the pow surface as you. Can see here i was able to kind of dig it in some of the lighter snow it is. A very poppy board which is really surprising because it’s kind of on the stiff side but what i really liked about this board was the fact that when you. Want to go fast this thing can hold an. Edge it absolutely rips so if you’re the type of person that finds yourself riding your split board on hard pack or. Groomers or any of that kind of terrain that xabier de larue is famous for riding you’re really gonna enjoy this board again it’s a very fast very. Stiff directional powder split board. Last year this board was only made in a size 167 this year they’ve made it a. Little bit more free ride friendly as you can see here and I’m riding the 159 in. This clip it’s also available in a 163 and a 167 sized but i found the 159 was. Great and honestly what i love most about this board was just how it actually planed on the tours with the. Pointed nose that board just really. Floats nicely through the pow.

Voile Revelator BC Splitboard – Men’s

The Revelator BC Splitboard by Voile enhances the skinning efficiency of the best-selling Revelator with its signature Traction-Pattern base. Inspired by the fish scale-like design found on cross-country skis, this base pattern delivers skinless grip when you’re touring over flat-to-rolling terrain, such as open alpine meadows and low-angle tree runs. Ultimately, it’s a great way to improve your touring efficiency when long, drawn-out approaches are mandatory to accessing the goods farther up the mountain. Take note, you’ll still need skins for steep uphill travel, so please don’t leave home without ’em!

You’ll find the fish scale-like base blends into a traditional sintered base at the tip and tail, so you won’t have to sacrifice much in the way of downhill glide when you’re ripping steeps, open bowls, and pristine tree runs. The rest of the Revelator BC is based directly off the standard Regulator, and that’s a good thing if you desire a stable, hard-charging split with ample float in the deep stuff. Its directional shape and cambered profile work in tandem, locking into carves and holding an edge precisely on steeps and dicey snow conditions. There’s a bit of rocker in the nose, as well as subtle tapering going on in the tail, so you’ll reap the benefits of additional float in powder.

Shaving weight without sacrificing structural integrity, the lightweight paulownia wood core is supplemented with two layers of carbon-infused fiberglass for enhanced responsiveness, lively snap, and greater vibration damping at high speeds. Voile’s signature cap construction helps to further reduce weight, as well as reduce damage from impacts with tree branches and other objects lying underneath the snow. Moreover, you’ll find Voile’s Channel Puck mounting system, which gives you nearly infinite mounting options without the hassle of traditional splitboard systems. It includes Voile clips and hooks for a solid connection, as well as Voile pucks for easy binding mounting.

  • Welcome to back country ski in canada. Calm my name is bradley moore today I’ll be doing a split board review for the bolle revelatory bc bullies company based. At a utah they’ve been around for a number of years arguably they started it. All with the do it at home split kit this is where you cut one of your snowboards in half and reattach it with the hardware they provide turning it into a split board and getting you out in the back country the revelatory comes in a few different models this is the bc. Which the biggest feature is the traction. Pattern located on the back of the board this is right under foot where your bindings will be in touring mode the. Fish-scale pattern has been seen on cross-country skis before and works. Really well for low angle approaches you. Get to a trail head and you’re gonna hit. Some roly terrain where there’s gonna be a little bit up and down nothing too steep you might want to leave your skins off right away just carry them in your pack until you hit something steeper to throw them on this fish-scale pattern works really well on low angle. Approaches I’ve used it a number of times and quite enjoy it is tapered. At the tail a little wider at the nose the early rise camber helps keep that. Pow beneath you and gives it quite a surfy feel to it the polonia wood core. Is durable and lightweight the board. Itself only weighs about 6 pounds 8 ounces has a nice flex to it a little. More rigid because you’re gonna be in the back country and shredding the power so that’s what you want for surfing the. Board itself is very easy to take apart and put together you just undo the clips at the top and bottom comes apart to. Sides you can throw your bindings on you’re ready to go putting the board back together is also extremely easy you. Want to put them in on a bit of an angle slide it in flip it up the tip and tail. There you have it ready to go when you. Throw your bindings on it’s gonna help the board stay a lot more rigid and yeah. It’s a great product this board it comes. In four different sizes ranging from a 159 to a 169 this is the 162 which is. Suited well for my height and weight it retails for about 650 dollars and it has. A lifetime warranty so the bindings are. Attached in a riding mode with these four pucks you can set it up at home very easily with the guide that they provide for you the pucks are slanted about three. Degrees this allows for your knees. To be slightly bent this is going to give you a more powerful stance when you’re strapped on your snowboard of course you’re going to be aggressively charging the mountains if you want to a powerful stance that you’re going to be stable and your feet the bindings i have been the light red rail very lightweight about four pounds the aluminum base has this pattern in it. To help keep from icing up snowing up these are very lightweight and durable and also very comfortable I’ve really enjoyed riding with these the rail system works fairly easy just slides right in and then you’ve got a pin on. The toe side it just slides up through. And attaches here very sturdy very. Stable really enjoy these bindings you. Can set them up many different ways so that they’re adjusted to your particular. Snowboard boot you can put the toe piece. Over your toe or around it however you. Feel comfortable the adjustable heel cup. Is great for touring also as you can make your stands aggressive for the downhill are very loose for long strides. When in tour mode a great feature with. The light rail bindings is the avalanche. Rip cord there’s there’re holes located. On the clip side where it’s a cord that. Attaches from both buckles and in the case of an avalanche you can rip the cord and it will unlock your. Ladders slide the board off your feet. And you can ditch it completely this has been a product review for back country skiing canada.com thank you.

Hey my name is garrett tate I’m here with Boulez skis and split boards at the. Tahoe mountain sports about to give a product clinic on the new stuff we have for 2014 and 15 just the kind of basic. Distinction between ski and snowboard. Construction the cap is gonna be lighter. A better for back country the sidewall is. Gonna be heavier but more sturdy and able to give a more specific flex profile as if it’s a better feel on the. Slopes for both skis and snowboards so that’s why i like inbound skis typically have sidewall construction, but they’re not as good for back country because they’re gonna be heavier another disadvantage is especially with skis and the texas split boards when you’re skinning is that the sidewall is vulnerable to getting kind of jacked up. A little bit just because it’s higher and straight there but it gives you the much better ride that much better feel and so this is going to be the park snowboarder the person who is in bounds a lot too but wants to get in the back country and this is a light set up compared to other brands out there and so it’s still a very good everyday touring machine for folks but it’s the. One that’s gonna feel more like the boards that folks are used to so that might be why more people kind of stay towards this where this one is kind of. New and unique to the scene in that it’s the totally touring specific board it’s. Capped construction so it’s gonna be significantly lighter it’s not gonna. Feel quite the same on groomers because it doesn’t have the ability to have the layers on the inside so you don’t have the same flex profile so it won’t be quite as supple and enjoyable on the. Hard pack but then on the powder where we don’t feel that as much it works and the weight savings are huge here, and we. Don’t see as much kind of jacking up at the sides because the way that and then Cartesian that you guys will carry the male and female version obviously just a graphic change and then a size range difference so that’s the. Female one of the top sheets for the female variants and this is this one setup kind of the whole way it goes these pucks are counted three to three. Degrees in so the feet are naturally just a little bit tilted in three degrees or two point seven to be real specific and that’s something that is pretty unique and gives a big difference. In the feel of somebody’s ride when they’re when their feet are just a little bit can’t it like that so these all it takes is popping these out and then resetting them at whatever width or. Stance that you have so this puck system. Doesn’t do’t isn’t the efficiency on this board as much as the revelatory’s it. Is kind of really make that process easier and so this demonstrates kind of. The sluggishness of how you got to move those pups which isn’t necessarily bad if it’s up for up so you can change your stance really easily so that’s the new puck system how this hardware system works you just pop off these ends. And then these boards just slide apart. These get tilted this way so that the. Hardware’s out of the way and then it’s in split mode the Cartesian as a directional twin with two centimeters of setback generous rocker in the tail and. A playful flex so that’s where you see kind of difference you have more ability to design flex into this board with that with the sidewall construction versus that cap which is better to the. The folks that are riding inbound well and playing more on the features in the back country another difference is kind of what the materials are on the inside so the Cartesian is the is aspen. Wood the whole way core where this one. Polonia is kind of the ultralight wood design in there with a carbon top sheet what’s the weight because a back country board that’s one of the biggest things right that you’re thinking about the mail revelatory is six eight ounces and. Then mail Cartesian is seven so. It’s almost a pound difference between these pen a woman’s is six pounds eight ounces in the men’s and women’s have the same camber profile it is yeah they’re. The same board they’re just smaller just the scaled-down version of it and then the skin we sell the skins in a couple different models the cheapest version you can get with just a tip the toe clip. And then they stop the tail may just. Stick tons of people use those, and they work fine it kind of depends on it changes where you are in the snow consistency how well that sticks in my experience. Skiing i travel a lot in the winter and. So i often see that fail on me as soon as it starts to get snow and ice built in their just doesn’t stick anymore it comes off and i’m wishing i had a template so for a little bit more money the tail clips available you can either get the skis with the tuff that pre mounted like this or you can actually start with the cheaper version that doesn’t have a tough clip figure out. That you wish you had the toe clip meters in mine and it’s pretty easy to mount on there.

Dave frisson here from full a manufacturing back country skiing canada talking a little bit about our new split board called the revelatory bc it’s. A one of it’s the first of its kind it. Has a scale or attraction base on each. Split work half unique it’s not the. Skin replacement, but we added the scale, so they keep your skins in your packet more often it’s. More for long low angle approaches if. Your yo-yo riding if you’re on a traverse on a rich diverse and it also features our new channel puck system or. Those channels in lord haves and it. Makes the set up your stance with an angle so much faster you just loosen the. Screws and then you can move the puck spray need to toe and heel and it’s just. Going to make it so much easier for users to set themselves up.

  • Aramid reinforcement dampens high-speed vibration
  • Sintered 7500 base resists damage while remaining fast
  • Includes Voile clips and split kit
  • Item #ROS00DN
