Now Midland is adding not. One not two but three new micro Mobile's to. This series the MXT 105 MXT 115. And MXT 400 the MXT 105 replaces the original MXT 100. And it's almost the same radio the package includes an MX t105 5 watt micro bubble radio a detachable hand microphone with a coiled cord a 12-volt power cable the vehicle adapter a flip frame detachable mount for horizontal. Or vertical mounting on. Or under the dash a microphone hanger mounting hardware. And a mobile magnet mount antenna with 19 feet of cable the MXT 105 has 5 watts of power 15 gmrs channels 10 NOAA Weather Channel's 142 ctc SS DCS codes channel scan adjustable squelch signal strength meter monitor function keypad lock. And a 35 millimeter external speaker jack. It also has a built-in internal speaker. And a front panel backlit LCD with five levels of adjustable brightness the MXT 105 is designed for flexible mounting the display flip feature allows the unit to be installed upside down with an option to flip the readout on the screen to keep.

It upright and readable the MXT 115 is the next model in the line. More power and features. You guys watched our red knob pill video you'll remember. That our walkie-talkies conked out. We weren't really sure. We were about two miles away from our shuttle my friend Jen. She came back up to see. This weekend these are the midland x hawker t51. We decided it would be a perfect time to test. These walkie-talkies out again to see. That twenty-eight mile range is really real. Or there's something wrong with. What we have so let's see. What happens who is a Nene — peanut I'm gonna point to five miles over I'm at the hip mile mark I've made. It safely across the road 980 peanut I'm at the point seven five mile mark. Iwill continue on over. Now I need to be not copied. That oh yeah you got a half mile further. Ithought one mile continue on would. You like me to continue on. Or turn back in a day to peanut uh-uh. One my oh my yet nine ate a peanut do. You hear I believe we're out of touch Nene Ican't hear you I'm heading back. You don't do things a piece of crap. This is why we are not riding our bikes. They named a peanut yeah. You heard and then. That was and went dead.

Now I'm at the I think there's supposed to be a decimal point after the two. And twenty-eight there's no way. This is a 28-mile range radio copy. These are $50 radios they're supposed to have a 28-mile range which is really hard to believe. Iwent a mile that was a stretch. Ididn't really go through. Anything major we're not in an inner city just in open woods. Iwent through one intersection at a mile. She could hear I could hear her but then. That was it cut out so legitimately. These for free from work for doing a good job. And I'm not gonna complain but I'm definitely not gonna bring these out on the trail again. And we're gonna take a look at. Some other options what we can pick up. You guys have a suggestion for a walkie-talkie. That works a lot better. That could kind of save our ass. When we're out in the desert. Or especially when we're skiing out in the glades.

okay this is a review of the Midland two-way radios the G XT Pro Series ones. Ihave here are the GX t 1030 VP Forces that's the yellow also comes in GX t 1000 which is black. And silver in the 1050 which is camouflage comes with the two radios two batteries two headsets a charger. And a 120 or 12 volt adapters for the charger as for the battery goes right in the back here comes with. This battery pack you can actually put four double A batteries in there that's in. And actually the charger is actually pretty nice. It actually snaps in charger locks in their comes with actually quite a. Few features turn it on you'll get a Roger beep. It shows you the channel change the channel. You press menu again. And that's the privacy codes. You can turn on CT CCS. Or DC s press again there's your privacy club. One is the power this radio has three power levels so. Ican change it from L low meeting it. Now with high you can only transmit on your GMA. Or s channels your FRS channels are only transmittable in low voice activation on. Or off your beeps on. Or off your Roger beep.

You can turn on this is your right menu again. And that's your vibrate mode. You can turn or off WI is your whisper mode. You can actually set. This for whisper mode. You can whisper into the mic. And it'll amplify your voice fever Esper. This is a dual scan meaning you can scan two different channels at. They want to scan channel. And give you can set channel 1 & 5 in there. And then you have a scan box that's to open up the channel. You can just press and it'll scan. All 50 channels just press your push-to-talk to go back. Because a NOAA weather alert press. And hold you know whether total Falls gonna Laura told. You it's not her hey oh okay. Iwent a little journeys I'll be official National Weather Service forecast. What another Holman are. You again you cooler yesterday temperatures again buddy as. We said weather alarm. Iin the background will run. You get a Whitney's weather alert hello come along a radio double press your push-to-talk key. It has 50 program channels 1 through 22.

Or your standard FRS gmrs channels so. One two seven or shared FRS gmrs. You can only transmit on FRS. And low-power channels 8 to 14. Or FRS only and then. You have 15 32 or your gmrs only. And then the last couple between 33. And 50 are basically just FRS. Or gmrs channels with a privacy code reprogrammed in by midland. You cannot change the privacy code on them upper channels actually has a pretty good distance pretty solid feeling they claim to go 36 miles that's mountaintop to mountaintop line-of-sight no interference generally around town. Or out camping in the woods you're going to get between 1 two three miles pretty clear gmrs is actually. More power so you have gmrs on you're going to get better transmission.

And receive rates just remember. You have gmrs you do need a GM RS license from the FCC right. Now they're running seventy dollars it's five years no test. You just apply online. You usually receive. It within a day or two overall excellent packages uh very pleased I'll leave a link to. You can get them on Amazon again the yellows are hard to find there's only a couple places to get them the black. And silver and the camouflage pretty much anywhere but Amazon does have the black. Paddles right camera radios. This is the Midland 75 - 8 - 2 CB radio. We commonly refer to. This one as our Swiss Army knife a CB radios. Because you know it can kind of cover. All bases and a bunch of different scenarios right. Now the radio is set up as a handheld has. This really short you know eight-inch duct antenna on. It and then it has a battery pack on the bottom here but. You can actually easily remove the battery pack just like. That and then attach on an included car kit. And then use the antenna in your vehicle power. It with it you know you're just traditional cigarette lighter. And then attach you know PL 259 connection. And an external antenna. And then use the antenna in the same way. You would of course also pop off the little rubber duck antenna there let's take a closer look at. All these features so. You can see what the Midland 75 looks like with just a car kit attached on there. And then you know it's just easy as. You know initial pulling up on. That little button there. And then sliding it off.

And then you can attach. Either this battery pack. This battery pack right here holds um six batteries six double-a batteries but. It also comes with a battery pack. That holds eight double-a rechargeable batteries. And a battery charger. Now just keep in mind. If you are going to use. This battery pack you have to use rechargeable batteries. And that's the only time. That you can use you know your AC wall charger. And that just plugs in. You know to the side of. That just keep in mind again rechargeable batteries only with. This and then here is. That small duct style antenna so. If you are using that. You just twist that onto the radio. And it's that easy the radio itself has a bunch of different features. It actually has NOAA Weather Channel's in addition to traditional TV channels. And it also has some channel scanning features. You can actually set five of your. Iguess favorite channels on. This and then you can set the radio to scan in between those. It also has channel 9 to 19 a back light has a port for you know a speaker.

And a microphone so. Whether you just want to. You know use headphones with the radio. Or something like that. Or if you want to attach. Some kind of look lapel mic. You can also do that with the midland 75 8 to 2 like. Isaid this radio is gonna be ideal for just. Anybody looking you know for flexibility to use the radio in the field. Or use it in a car. Or if they're just looking for a CB radio. That can be easily moved from vehicle to vehicle that's kind of nice at the car kit. You know maybe paired up with a magnetic antenna only probably real downside to know about the 7580 too is. That if you are using it as a handheld just kind of like similar with. All CB radio handhelds you're not really gonna get out. That far with this. Iprobably wouldn't count on a handheld CB to. You know probably communicate. More than like a quarter to a half a mile but. If you want to get out just make use the car kit.

And you know attach. You know Wilson little will. Or Wilson 1000 who really be able to get out. And communicate well again. This is Midland 75 8 to 2.

You know it's important to be able to communicate with others in business. That relates to Skype. It relates to using your phone. And there's a lot of ways to do. You know I'm a huge fan of Cobra. You can use it as a stereo headset so. If you'd like to pair. It with your phone you can listen to music wirelessly. You can pair it with your computer. You can Skype with you know keep in touch overseas stuff like. We could use this with Skype. You have one of these. You can put on your ear so. We can see what it looks like. Because your ear looks so nice and it's always so good to see. That it's a nice small headset it's a comfortable fit it's got a five-hour talk time five hours of music streaming and 300 hours of standby time. You can use as the mono headset with just the. One ear hook you can simply remove. This ear hook and put in the wired earbud.

And turn it into a stereo headset it's great. You want to go running if. You want to go skiing and you're listening to music. And a call comes in the music will shut off. And then you can take the call. Or choose to ignore. And keep jamming out to your music very nice. Iwould imagine something like. This so we're going to buy. This is probably going to cost. Is a couple thousand dollars. Because it's worth that right, so I'm setting you up on. What about you so in but. It doesn't cost a thousand dollars. You know for a CES special. Iwill give you a deal I'm going to say 5995 5995. How about that at least it's not $60 exactly. You five cents there. We go alright more information on. This is the CVT h5 from Cobra. Even scan it there.

You got a little scanner there standing but. Idon't know we can scan. Once it's on video I don't know. We can try but somebody out there. Somebody out there in the land of computers.
