If your kid thinks running away from mountain monkeys in a video game is fun, wait until he experiences the real thing (minus the monkeys, of course). The Salomon Boys’ XA Pro 3D Trail Running Shoe doesn’t just supply Junior with the cushion, support, and traction he needs when he’s beating you to the top of the hill, but it comes with a breathable stretch mesh upper to keep his little pawlets comfortable and Agion antimicrobial treatment to repel the notorious little-kid foot smell. Salomon was smart to use its Quick Lace closure system, so he can cinch them down tight with just a quick pull, and the laces feature a Breakaway system that won’t get caught up on sticks, logs and rocks when he’s setting the pace on your next family trail run.
Hey everyone has been from living survival and today we’re going to take a look at the hiking or trail running shoes that I’ve chosen to wear this spring and this summer so i previously. Did a video on the hiking boots that I’ve been using for the past two years winter and summer and i let you guys know that i wanted to get a lighter weight option that was maybe a little bit more breathable for the summer months the salomon 4dg tx’s that i was. Wearing in the winter in the summer fantastic boot i feel it’s the best hiking boot out there and I’m not alone a lot of magazines a lot of websites feel the same way to great boots but. Again they are not the coolest in the. Hot summer months so i wanted to get something that again was a little bit lighter and maybe a little bit more breathable so in a previous video i showed you these are the quest 42 gt x’s the fantastic boot i believe it’s. The best boot I’ve ever had i called it the best all-around hiking boot in that video I’m not alone a lot of other websites and a lot of other magazines rated this as the top boot as well. It’s got gore-tex protection I’ve walked through you know countless little streams with these where the water’s gotten up to here I’ve stepped in really deep puddles and my feet have yet to get. Wet they have excellent traction so if you’re going up hills down hills even in wet muddy conditions they have excellent traction, and they work well for that they are a little bit on the warm side so in the hot summer months i found myself even with a very light liner. Sock i felt my feet getting a little bit hot and that’s the only problem with issue that got gore-tex and how leather. And things like that it’s fully protected so it’s not the best when it comes to breath ability I’d still say. Definitely for the fall months the winter months in the spring month when you got cooler temperatures this is definitely the best all-around boot you can buy but I’m going to show you the new trail runners that i picked up specifically for those warmer summer. Months so this shoe is a brand-new shoe for 2017 from salomon this is their xa. Pro 3-d I’ve been wearing these for a few months now I’ve taken them on multiple trips and put a lot of miles on them and again i am just completely. Completely impressed with the durability. And the quality that shoes and boots continue to put out they have the same well-built construction as my 4d gtx is a little bit lower cut so. It’s more like a shoe you know a lot of people you know trail run with these i don’t necessarily run on the trails but i do walk a lot of trails hike a lot of trails now a lot of people when they’re looking for a trail running shoe or a lower cut boot such as this they will go. With something that is very breathable because the you know the thinking there is that if you do get wet and you continue to walk on your feet. Will dry out over time now that may be true for some areas or for some applications maybe if you’re going on a really long through hike or something like that where you’re not stopping you’re not camping that may be great but. I do a lot of just shorter hikes and i. Do a lot of camping so i wanted something that had the gore-tex protection and i was willing to sacrifice a little bit of that breath ability for the all-over protection now just like my 4d 2’s the. Higher boots these didn’t let me down. When it came to the gore-tex either i was able to step in puddles walk through shallow riverbeds and shallow streams. And my feet did not get wet at all i. Went on a two-day overnight in ohio it rained the entire time all our gear was. Soaked my pants were completely soaked raincoat was completely soaked through it but my feet were dry so breath ability. Aside these again are very well. Constructed they don’t offer as much ankle support but i was very impressed with the amount that you get out of a low-cut shoe like this i did walk up and. Down several pretty steep incline hills again it was raining and muddy when i. Did so and the state on my feet i felt like i had adequate protection now they did slip a little bit more than the 40s. They don’t have quite the deep quite as deep traction on the bottom but again for a shoe that’s built to be lightweight a trail running shoe I’m again overly impressed so just like the. Forties you have the gore-tex protection here you have a protection cap on the. Toe here a protection toe which is nice. And then you do have the contact grip on the bottom just like you do on the four. Ds however on the 40s even though these are quite worn out because i put hundreds of miles on these they aren’t quite as deep or the grooves aren’t quite the same so these are going. To give you a lot less slip if you’re going up and down hills especially when. It’s raining or muddy out but these did the trick and again for just an all-around shoe for camp and for short hikes and even longer trails great. Shoe and I’m glad that i switched to them they do keep my feet cooler because they are lighter weight and even with that gore-tex protection i don’t find my myself ah or my feet heating up as much. As they did with the 42s again here on. The bottom you can see the contour grip not quite as you know we’re not quite as. Deep as on the more full height. Hiking boot but again for trails and camping perfect as far as traction goes. It does have the 3d chassis and then. Another thing that i really like is that they are super easy to slip on and off so even if you did come up to a deeper. River or stream or even a small lake or something that you had to cross you could flip these off throw them in your waterproof bag barefoot it and then flip them right back on it’s got you know the easy lay system you just pull that tight, and they’re laced so you just put it rights on your foot I’ll pull that up and it’s laced and you can either leave this like that there is a lace pocket here which is just a little pocket in the. Tongue of the shoe here you can go ahead and you can tuck that in there or what I’ll do is I’ll just tuck it in the tip of the shoe here under that last lace. That kind of goes diagonally across their so either way I’ve done it all three ways and you know these don’t come. Loose at all even again with serious inclines and serious declines they stay. Nice and tight and the beauty there is that they’re easy to pull off their easy to slip on and I’ve even worn them just like that just you know around the house or running out to the car i don’t even pull the lace but i love that. Factor i love the fact they’re you know easy on easy off i can just clip them right to my pack if i were making a smaller river or stream crossing but. Just like the hiking boots these have the porthole liner in them although the sticker wore off a lot quicker in these even though i have hundreds of miles on these sticker hasn’t worn off yet, but they do have the same porthole liner now hundreds of miles on the hiking boots and plenty of miles on these so far find that i do not need to replace that liner at all it gives me plenty of protection for my foot size wise these go a little bit bigger or I’d say more. True to fit then the boots are these I’ve heard from other people and for me as well maybe a little bit snug when you get thicker socks on again i generally. Just use these with liners even the winter I’ll wear a light wool sock and these work just fine these with just your typical you know lightweight sock i have a little bit more room in them so that’s nice I’d say maybe fit wise these. Are a little bit truer to fit than the four ds overall just a fantastic. Pair of shoes for the summer months especially if you’re around water or in rainy conditions as i often find myself in again if you prefer a shoe that’s. Going to dry out maybe these aren’t going to be for you know you want something a little bit more breathable but I’ve had the keens the marrows those are all more breathable the second that. It starts raining even a drizzle or the second that i mistakenly step in a puddle my foot my toe even if I’m walking in wet grass is soaked and again. I’m willing to give up that for the. Gore-tex protection where i can literally just stop down in puddles keep these in all day out in the rain and my feet are going to stay dry so hope you guys enjoyed the video today taking a look at the salomon trail runners that i decided to pick up for the summer they have not let me down at all in their quality and their durability in their. Protection from the elements as i said i took them on my hike i took them on. Several camp outs i took them on my camp out to ohio where rain both days i mean they were completely soaked on the. Outside i was completely soaked my raincoat was completely soaked everything was completely soaked but my socks and feet were completely dry so again I’m willing to give up a little bit of that breath ability for the. Gore-tex protection not everyone’s like that some people want a qu that if it does get wet it’s going to dry out really quickly for me for what i do for. The trails that i hike and for the conditions that I’m in I’d rather have that gore-tex protection that’s going to keep my feet dry from the start I’m. Going to place a link below to where you guys can pick these up if you choose to do so either way if you like the more supportive higher boot or the lower cut. Lighter weight running shoe salomon is. An awesome company i haven’t been let down by any of their so far I’ve tried the rest and now i. Feel like i do have the best so again I’m going to put a link below where you guys can find out more information and pick a pair up for yourself hope you guys enjoyed the video today please give it a big thumbs up for me make sure you leave me a comment below please share this video to anybody who might be interested on your social media and as always click that red subscribe button subscribe to my channel for more. Adams Hiking Boots. Made in America, the Mt. Danner put a sturdy Vibram sole at the base of the boot to ensure long-lasting performance when you’re wearing your boots day in and day out, or counting on them to carry you through a week-long backpacking trip.

I am going to test the waterproof. Abilities of these brand-new uncoated. And did not many aftermarket coating on these are the merrill moab mid. Waterproof these are not the gore-tex. Version this is exclusively the waterproof version I’ve seen a lot of reviews on the internet and on youtube. But none of them actually showed the waterproofing ability and i have heard a lot about the fact that they don’t repel the water like they should, so we’re. Going to put these to the test right now i realize that you’re probably not going. To go stand directly in a stream and these aren’t gonna be for fishing or things of that nature but if you’re planning out hiking anywhere where there’s gonna be streams or running water or if you slip off from a rock you hate to have your feet get wet right off the bat these are supposedly. Waterproof they have the merrill em drive. Membrane these are again been not the gore-tex so I’m standing in water as you. Can see it’s about halfway up the boot this is definitely much more than i. Would ever do when am at a hiking trip but i didn’t have to cross the occasional stream or something like that i have read where these are not waterproof at all and the people. Complain that they got wet just walking through tall wet rats and things of that nature so again as you can see them. About halfway up the boot been in here for about a half a minute so far again these are brand-new i have not put any kind of aftermarket spray or anything of. That nature on these and so far my feet. Are absolutely dry it has no problem at all been wiggling my toes and the boots have been kind of moving around a little bit here so merrill moab mid waterproof. This is these are men’s size 11s I’ve. Had no trouble at all i don’t feel any water penetrating the membrane my feet. Are completely dry i don’t feel any. Dampness and again this is far more than. I would ever imagined doing during real. Hiking i would never be exposing to this much direct water contact so if you’re reviewing this shoe i found that it’s very comfortable that warm around and work the other day I’ve not had any hot spots didn’t have any discomfort they fit great coming out. Straight out of the box i think they look nice they’re very comfortable they have the vibram soles that are get a. Great traction and again I’ve been in here for about a minute if not two minutes and again no water no. Penetration my feet are completely dry. So hopefully if you’re looking to buy this boot this will give some confidence or at least a video to watch the shows that they do what they say they’re gonna. Do my feet are completely dry after. Standing in this bathtub full of water and hopefully this will help you make a decision of course i haven’t really. Hiked outside of giving them a lot of abuse but my intention is going to be to spray these with an aftermarket spray anyhow just to kind of reinforce the. Waterproofing but just so you know right. Out of the box you can definitely stand in some water with these merrill moab mid water proofs and your feet will stay. Dry, thank you very much hope this helps.
Hi everyone its craig for get out their gear reviews and these are merrill’s moab to waterproof hikers I’ve given. Then a very good test over many kilometers on many hikes across many different trails here’s what i thought of them as you would expect from merrill they are very good shoe with many high quality features that made my hiking a. Very pleasurable experience first of all. I really like their solid construction when i put them on i could feel that they were a hiking shoe that would perform well and last a long time the. Core of the shoe is rugged and provides lots of support and protection for rocky. Technical trails the upper is a durable suede leather and mesh and of course you. Have a substantial protective rubber toe cap for added protection something you won’t necessarily find in cheaper shoes are these bellows here attached to a closed cell foam tongue that’s going to. Help keep out moisture and debris and of. Course only in a premium shoe are you going to find excellent waterproofing the moab twos have merrill’s m select. Dry which seals out water but let’s moisture escape so you stay dry when you’re on the move i want to point out the webbing eyelets that go in this shoe i prefer this kind of eyelet because it. Just seemed to provide a better fit to wrap it all up they have a v blum sole with a 5 millimeter lug depth that gives them excellent grip on a wide variety of terrain all of fits adds up to a shoe that weighs in at two pounds one ounce for nine hundred and forty grams each of. These features contribute to a very solid shoe that make it very likely that. This shoe will continue performing for many kilometers for many years to come. Finally, i was curious about the name moab and it turns out that’s an acronym for a mother of all boots that’s a bold. Statement but i think it’s one that meryl can get away with on this hiking shoe it is very comfortable and an incredibly functional hiker you won’t be disappointed.
Hey what’s going on guys it’s getting here at zappos calm and the moab to. Smooth mid waterproof from meryl I’m gonna take you to the top this rugged. Tons of support up here near the ankle and tons of padding while still keeping it flexible to give you all that range of motion you’re looking for out on the trail you’ve got a protective rubber toe. Cap because if you’re clumsy you’re going to be kicking your toes and inside. Hey everyone I’m adam with merrill i want to talk to you about my favorite hiking boots the moab to mid waterproof this boot is awesome and i think you’re going to love it as well it’s known for its out of the box comfort so as soon as you put your foot in it you’re gonna get that merrill wild moment and just want to go hit the trails so let’s talk about what makes it so great when we look at the outsole of this boot we’ve got a vibram outsole so it’s super grippy super durable so when you’re hitting the trails they’re wet they’re muddy you’re gonna be gripping just fine and it’s gonna last you for years in the mid sole here we have our merrill air cushion right under the heel so it’s essentially a little cutout like if you took an ice-cream scoop right to the foam and put another layer right over it creates a little trampoline effect for that heel feels amazing right underfoot getting into the upper. Here we’ve got a nice performance was that’s going to be really durable it’s gonna shed dirt clean up nice, and we. Also have this silicone stability band here that wraps around both sides of the foot so when you’ve got a light to medium pack you’re gonna be supported in that boot it features our m select drive. Waterproof membrane which is both breathable and waterproof so even though this boot looks really messy it allows your foot to sweat and that sweat will evaporate out of the boot but it does not allow water into the boot this boot features our typical narrow fit which is going to be snug in the heel precise over this instep and really roomy in that toe box so it’s an anatomical fit and it’s comfortable right out of the box so you can gear up and hit the trail today
Hello and today we are testing out the moab — made of water food boom as you. Can see i also have my leg gaiters on. As you can see I’m in the water this is. Not staged my feet first we. Have the m select drive which locks out moisture so i can stomp through rocky creeks or city gutters without kidding. My socks way i am going to brand-new. These are the barrel moab mid waterproof. These are not the cortex version this is exclusively the waterproof version I’ve. Seen a lot of reviews on the internet. And on youtube but none of them showed the waterproofing ability and i. Have heard a lot about the fact that they don’t propel the water like they. Should so we’re going to put these to the test right now i realize that you’re. Probably not going to go stand directly in a stream and these aren’t gonna be for fishing or things of that nature but if you’re planning out hiking anywhere where there’s gonna be streams or running water or if you slip off from a rock you hate to have your feet get wet. Right off the bat these are supposedly. Waterproof they have the meril end right. Membrane these are again been not the gore-tex so I’m standing in water as you. Can see it’s about halfway up the boot this is definitely much more than i would ever do in am that a hiking trip but again if you have to cross the occasional stream or something like that i have read where these are not waterproof at all and the people. Complain that they got wet just walking through tall wet grass and things of that nature so again as you can see them. About halfway up the boot but in here for about a half a minute so far again these are brand-new i have not put any. Kind of aftermarket spray or anything of that nature on these and so far my feet. Are absolutely dry have no problem at. All been wiggling my toes and the boots have been kind of moving around a little bit here so a meryl moab mid waterproof. This is these are men’s size 11s I’ve had no trouble at all don’t feel any water penetrating the membrane my feet are completely dry i don’t feel any. Dampness and again this is far more than. I would ever imagined doing during real. Hiking i would never expose it to this much direct water contact so if you’re. Reviewing this shoe i found that it’s very comfortable i warm around and work the other day I’m not had any hot spots didn’t have any discomfort they fit. Great coming out straight out of the box i think they look nice they’re very. Comfortable they have the vibram soles that are given a great traction and again. Here for about a minute if not two. Minutes and again no water no penetration my feet are completely dry so hopefully. If you’re looking to buy this boot this will give some confidence or at least a video to watch the shows that they do. What they say they’re gonna do my feet are completely dry after standing in. This bathtub full of water and hopefully this will help you make a decision of course i haven’t really hiked outside by giving them a lot of abuse but my intention is going to be to spray these with an aftermarket spray anyhow just to kind of reinforce the waterproofing but. Just so you know right out of the box you can definitely save us some water with these merril moab mid water proofs. And your feet will stay dry thank you. Very much for this helps. You.

Textile upper gives you breath ability as well as protection great color great look easy to lace up nice padding here around the ankle shows off the logo too on the inside you do have a really soft. Lining that’s breathable it’s mesh as well tons of cushioning in the footbed for that underfoot comfort gives you this lightweight eba mid sole fur cushioning. All right hi everyone today i’ve got a pair of oboes hiking boots and open up and we’ll take a look and see what we got these are the oboz men’s bridger be dry. In the scotch brown color you can see. That that’s the label on the box there and let’s get these open and have a look. See what we’ve got in the box here all. Right yeah these are yeah i do like the. Color of these get a little close-up. Look here this is the scotch brown color. With the red laces obviously comes in a. Variety colors but these are the ones i like these have a nice heel cup rubber. Heel cup they have their be dry. Waterproofing membrane throughout the boot so does a waterproof boot with a nubuck leather outer fabric whatever you. Call it yeah alright so looking good. Let’s see what got hit else here in the box so i can extra pair of laces these. Are brown didn’t expect that so that’s kind of nice looks like that’s it. Alright set that off the side here’s the. Other one you can see it’s just the same everything’s all laced up nice and new oh smells great alright so here’s the. Sole i don’t think i showed the sole yet but you can see it’s got a nice aggressive tread pattern with some deep. Lugs and i like the red eye red. Highlights here pretty cool but these. Are the oboz bridge or mid air. Waterproof one nice thing about them is the toe it’s a little bit reinforced. Here with this rubber rubber piece here it’s not really stiff but it does give. It some extra protection if your toe boots if you’re kicking rocks and roots and stuff like that on the trail that’s. Nice i happen to like that not all i can. Boots have that all right just unlace. This a little bit it’ll look kind of. Inside a little bit here and show you something else that’s kind of nice that oboes does and most other boot manufacturers do not do so you can see. He’s got this piece here what is fully waterproof and we’ll just look inside here that kind of a gray pattern here on. The tongue yeah. Pretty dark can’t really see too well but the one thing i did kind of want to point out is the insole that oboes does. A little extra on their insole insert. It’s a lot better than most. Manufacturers i turn it over you can see. A little bit of a kind of a shock pad here on the forefoot and the heel and. That’s kind of impact point to your foot and it’s a lot stiffer it’s a better it’s a better insole with some good arch. Support most hiking boots just come with. A very very flimsy insert this one has. Some structure to it and will provide some support it’s one of the things that. Oboes does that nobody else really does would it be it just comes stock included. And then inside you know just a quick. Look there’s nothing too interesting but. Anyways that’s the insole it slides in. And out real quick if you’re trying on. Boots in the store pull the insole out. You’ll see that most other manufacturers are very flimsy they really had no structure and provide as much support as. The oboist does so there you go it’s a. Beautiful looking boots extra pair of laces and looking forward to get out on. The trail these would be good yeah hiking backpacking even just general. Mini yard work if you’re a landscaper may you work on a golf course or something these would be a pretty good work boot we spend a lot of time outdoors but definitely good for hiking and. And keep my try outside alright thanks. For watching today i hope this video was helpful please do like the video and. Subscribe to the youtube channel and hope to see here again and hope you. Enjoy the video alright see you later bye.

Amazon shoppers team here today and i wanted to go over my review on the target two boots from keene these are. The mid tattoos and guys let me give you just a quick background on my experience. In boots my quest for the perfect boot. For me three years at the post office. Been I’ve spent a ton of money trying to. Find the perfect boot that’s durable and. Last and in the right price range guys now i went through several boots in this. Adventure and definitely landed on one. That i absolutely love now guys I’ve tried them all Solomon’s timberlands I’m not going to drop all the names but there’s a lot of boots that i tried and i kept i even started my first start at the post office i was buying some cheaper boots they were lasted me like a month nothing two maybe two guys i walk. Ten to twelve miles a day six days a week that’s a lot of walking yes that’s more than the average person and now that’s through yards on streets concrete up and. Down hills steps all day long it’s it. Takes a toll on you if you don’t have a good pair of boots it really takes a toll on your body so i was I’m like i. Took some advice and from fellow co-workers and bought some of the more expensive salomon boots had trouble with them right out of the box my reviews they’re on amazon if you want to check that out one hundred and seventy-nine dollar boots, and they cracked right here within three weeks they sent me another pair. And they cracked right there within three weeks same boot i wasn’t impressed. With that for the price they were comfortable and a good-looking boot but i can’t have a hundred seventy dollar boots cracking within just a few weeks and there’s other people having issues with that boot as well so just moving on i finally landed on these keens i picked. These one day the target is on amazon there and i got him in, and they look. Like they were going to be a heavy boot but guys really they’re not they’re. They’re no more heavy than the salomon boots they just look like they’re heavier and I’m gonna tell you why these things are built tough man these things are tanks i love them absolutely love. I’m going to show you something real quick let us try to kind of sink in just. A little bit for you guys seven months ten to twelve miles a day six days a. Week that boot right there. Now I’ve walked the heel off these boots right here as you can see now that’s just how i walk that’s a bad habit of. Mine but that’s where they wear right there no splitting between the leather and the. Sole no splitting right here on this material where the toe bends no. Splitting there whatsoever the typical. Problems that you generally have with boots i didn’t with these pins i have. Replaced the insoles about four times i. Think since i got these boots and seven. Months so i tell you the amount of walking and i do smash the footbed pretty bad I’m 205 pounds six. Foot tall and doing that that amount of. Walking in a boots you know the. Insoles need to be replaced about four. Times i think in this pair of boots that’s the most I’ve ever replaced in a pair of boots usually it’s the second time in those boots or trash there’s something wrong with them one thing i want to touch on real quick is the water. Proofing that says again king dry system. In it and i love it but it’s a wording. Think with me I’m not a big fan of it when somebody says that their boot is waterproof guys it’s not waterproof its. Water resistant okay they’re the only. Way to make this boot waterproof is to completely surround it and rubber that’s it that’s waterproof water resistant is. A better word and this boot actually. Does an amazing job of it that water resistance without having to use any can’t dry or anything like that lasted. About four months in these boots and that was through the fall in the winter so a lot of rain and a lot of snow that. I packed i walked with these boots in and my feet stayed dry all day now i did. You know common sense don’t walk in. Water with them try to i mean if you’re walking through wet grass and you step in a puddle occasionally a little bit of. Water but when you start walking in water and it starts getting up into here your feet are going to get wet guys that’s water resistance. So i just i just kind of wanted to touch on that a little bit like i said its kind of wording issue with me the. Way they toss that word around so easily. But you can see like on this pair of boots the shoe strings just in the last couple of months they busted here and i had the time together they busted up here and i tied them together but everything is still amazing about this. Boot all the little eyelets are still attached all the stitching is still good there’s no busted stitching there’s. Nothing there’s no leather coming away from the insole the toes not peeling off the bottom is not cracked i get a lot of. Boots that crack right here just an. Amazing boot i these boots blow my mind ordered my. Second pair just last month and today i felt like i needed to get on there and share that information with you guys absolutely love the boots i will continue to buy this boot as long as. They keep making it comfortable right out of the box absolutely just broken. Right out of the box i love that about these as well they’re not super heavy the water resistance works great and the boots. Just last i really liked them so i just. Want to show you on video what they look like after that now that to the normal person just wearing these boots that’s probably three years worth of wear and. Tear right there so for the price guys if you can get three years out of them not hiking just wearing them around little hiking weekend warrior guys hey. Man well worth the money right there so. I just want to touch on a man with you guys absolutely love them I’ll keep by him as long as they keep making them, and they don’t change anything about the boot the price is right the price is. Actually low for what these boots are. How long these boots last and how well they’re made so 5 stars for me on them. Guys if you have any questions or comments on these boots just leaving the comment box down below and I’ll try to help you the best that i can but until the next review as always be safe and happy shopping you.
The Asolo Men’s Power Matic 200 GV Backpacking Boot has a waterproof Gore-Tex lining and fatigue-reducing technology to keep you moving for your hardcore winter hikes. The Power Matic sole’s front density gives you maximum support, and a heel density that reduces shock and fatigue. Cylinders throughout the outsole and midsole absorb jarring from your steps, so you can take on the trail and have more energy for the long haul. The waterproof Gore-Tex lining protects your feet from those soggy spring days, and provides high breathability for the long haul. A wide fit gives your feet more comfort without sacrificing support—less squashed toes and more stability.
We do in fact as low as i mentioned. Before has been around for 35 years we’ve made premium brand products for. All that time one product that i have here is actually called the parramatta to 200 gv it is a you know. Traditional-looking leather product this one here has a real classic look to it what we’ve used is a vibram outsole bottom we have some arch supports in. Here you can see this one’s designed with three levels of polyurethane to. Really isolate key areas of the foot give you shock absorption where you want and then give you the support mechanism in areas where again you need it on the. Top we actually have a nice single piece of leather the stitching is actually protected from any snags or poles that. Might happen while you’re out there in the field and then what we really is a unique feature it’s a patented feature is this pulley system which really gives. You a nice enveloped foot wrap over the. Over the foot and isolates key areas. Again another key feature to these boots is that we use what’s called a nozzle flex board it’s been around again for probably 25 years in our line and it’s a. Preformed polypropylene board but what. It does is it disallows anything from poking up underneath gives you the proper flex and support that you need during the excursion and it’s just a key. Component that helps our boots maintain their shape and form over the course of many years just a wonderful fitting boot. You.
Seiyya just wanted to do a review for. Some boots to be solo boots. Ironically one of my body’s good friend. Contacted me last night justified any boot suggestions so I’ll quick background I’ve had danner’s had quite a. Few different kinds of really good food, and they never lasted very long I’m. Kind of rough on stuff so what i want to do is to show you a set of eight solos that I’ve had for six years they’re still running really strong I’m going to. Sit down and just kind of take the boot off and show it to you real quick and tell you why i like them and then just. Show you the leather conditioner that i use and the only reason I’m doing this. Is because i found boots that worked. For me and kind of the conditions that i deal with and i just want to kind of. Share them so yeah I’ll turn the camera. Around and just show you what I’m talking about alright guys so here the boots they’re. Made by a solo i always forget which model these are. Hopefully i can find out. I believe the newer addition of these. Are the rv and my friend literally bottom last night so I’ve had these boots for six years the reason i bought. Dj solos and i was willing to pay 240 bucks for him is because i had gotten a. Pair of a solo fugitive which are the nylon more breathable version from rei. For forty dollars from a scratching them sale, and they lasted three years which were longer than any boots I’ve had so when i started looking for another set i wanted to get all leather because the thing i saw was those fugitives even though they were really good was that the seams were the downfall the seams were where they would end up leaking or splitting so these are a solos made with. Essentially one piece leather a solo. From what i can tell are designed in italy and made in the czech republic i wish these were made stateside but you. Now the czechs are good they’re. Good at manufacturing so when my friend. Called or my friend contacted me. I and him use our stuff and we buy. Similar stuff where we buy high-end stuff, but we use it hard so i had no. Problem recommending these boots and i. Just want to go over a couple reasons why i think they lasted so long and why i like them so one first thing that. These have been they have pulley lace the. Lace holders are pulleys right here so. Not only does it kind of protect your laces they have little rollers i don’t. Now if you can see them pretty high-end little brass rollers i thought they were. A little bit of a gimmick when i first got them but what they end up doing is they make the shoe really easy to lace up and on lace they also allow the laces. To move when you’re walking which. Maintains an even tightness throughout. The boot okay the other thing is these. Are the original laces typically i go through probably a sutter to laces a year and because they’re they’re. Allowed to move they don’t rip is easily okay my friend. Was asking you know how often do you use the boots and i would say in 2016 on. These i put minimum 200 miles. Walking and I’ve had these for six years i was thinking what’s the minimum amount. Of miles i put on and i put on minimum 600 miles i would say closer to 800. Miles on use the only thing that I’ve. Had to do as far as the repair is i this little tip of the shove the boot on one. Of these was coming off and i owed it back on and now it’s probably two years ago so now i just want to get into just. Want to give you a quick. Description of how i maintain these so. One thing i do after like long hikes or. Any time they’ve gotten real dirty is i take the insole out and i get all that. Sand and all that stuff out of this insole sometimes I’ll wash it and then. The same thing where i shake the boot out really good and I’d say about twice. A year I’ll actually wash the inside of. This boot out that gets rid of all the silica and sand that can puncture this gore-tex liner and that’s that’s a lot of times what happens is you get a puncture in this liner and then the boot leaves but the. Think i love about the all leather boots is since the outside is so robust it. Really protects the inside gore-tex. Layer again as long as you get all that sand and stuff off so that’s my first advice feel good boots clean these. Insoles often clean the inside the. Boot get all that get it silicon and stand out that’s going to wear through your gore-tex liner okay the next thing. Is a shoe treatment i recently. Switched to this stuff i was looking for. My beeswax i forgot it’s called it. Started with sno but anyways it was. Abused black solution and you can’t get it anymore in a excuse me this isn’t the. Stuff I’m talking off but this is a new. Replacement so when i was looking for my old shoe treatment i went to a cobbler. And he said i like this stuff a lot. Better and guess what it’s made in the united states in green bay Wisconsin. It’s important you know i live in. Wisconsin and uh you know it’s important. To keep stuff made here so what i can say is I’ve been using this for a coastal year and what you end up doing is when you see that this leather starts to absorb a little bit of water i take. It and i run them under hot water maybe get a little soapy brush and i just get all the dirt and sand i take the laces out and i just really wash it down then i I’ll take and I’ll put up a good. Layer of this um you know I’ll put some of this on a towel and rub it around now what i do is i take either like a heat gun or a blow-dryer and you want to just. Heat it up enough so this stuff soaks into the leather and you don’t want to put too much or this soaks into the leather and then into the gore-tex liner. And you’d have to put a lot of this stuff but that’s just a little warning so in closing again I’m not doing any. Like walking through the wood scenes or anything but i have run these through. The wringer i use them for deer hunting i use them in winter i use them in the summer the one. Downside of the all leather exterior is that they are going to hold a little bit more moisture inside but for me. In Wisconsin I’d rather keep a little bit of moisture inside and keep all the. Wet dirty muck and stuff outside so I’ve. Literally had my rain pants cinched around these boots and stepped into water up to here and my feet were dry so. All i can say is if you’re looking for a. Set of high end boots i spent about three hundred forty dollars on these and i would not hesitate to do it again and. Again these are six year old boots oftentimes I’ll be it like a job site or a work site and people go man like those are nice boots you just get them they go no they’re six years old and you know other guys that are kind of in the industry that have similar experiences where the boots just fall apart you know they ask how much they are and i tell them, and they’re like you know it seems like it really it seems 100% worth it so. In my opinion these are the best boots. I’ve ever had a solos and once these. Wear out I’m going to end up getting another pair and picard’s picard’s. Leather dressing this is some of the. Best stuff alright guys have a nice day. I’m just sitting in the woods you got to. Go to school and class and then working a little bit thumbs out. She’s got the titanium canteen and the. Centerline pouch I’ll probably end up. Doing some type of review or something for that eventually but yeah just enjoy that’s my shoe selection boot selection. Boot recommendation all day.
