We’ve got the X 9 in the X 7 by Razi and you’re, the X 7 is you are sort of more appropriate boot for recreational use, just a little bit less expensive or we have it kind of paired up in a package on the sign. X, you know a skate ski is all about lateral stiffness, so any skate boot is gonna have a cuff, but you can definitely feel the difference between the stiffness of this cuff and what’s on the X 9, this is a much beefier cuff.
It also has a ratcheting, strap versus just a velcro, strap, so you’re going to get a more refined custom type fit with this boot, as well as more power to the ski. So for more competitive racing rate, you know use racing and that kind of thing the X 9, is definitely the better choice. But for your sort of beginning skier, the X 7 is a great option as well, both of them by the way have Rossignol thermal fit liner, which means the lining actually has sort of heat activated foam in it.
Obviously, if you’re buying this online we’re gonna ship it to you, we can’t form it for you, but Rossignol has a tool that heats the foam up and a custom fit, otherwise it will actually customize on its own after a few uses just from your body heat. So that’s a really nice thing. After a few times of skiing, you’ll have a much more comfortable boot on your foot and that’s critical, so X 9 by Razi, X 7 by Razi, both skate boots and smart as bindings.
It’s got a few options here for a non ni: ass, ski, like design, X, meaning that plate isn’t there. We have the r3 and you can see the screws hanging off the bottom. Those are ready to be drilled into the ski and mounted. You know if skate bindings are typically manual, you lift up the toe you step down and lock it into place, but the Fisher has the MIS plate, so that works with NIS bindings and these bindings as I said, slide on and click into place, and we have two options: we have the Fisher extra size skate.
This is just sort of a basic skate binding. This is the front part. There is a heel piece as well and we have the brand-new ah fella accelerator. This thing is so light it it’s the lightest race binding in the world. Actually it is really really sleek low-profile. It has a really unique clamping mechanism. This is just one piece of metal that you lift up and this kind of got these hooks that grab the tow bar right on the outside.
So it gives you a real real good contact to the ski you pair that up with the NIS system, another advantage of the NIF is instead of being drilled in sort of the center of the binding. This thing is clamping onto the edge, so it’s a real real, tight connection to the ski and you saw how easily that thing went on there, there’s a tool provided and that tool you slide into one of these slots and again you can move the binding for and out to the balance point which is really nice.
So that’s the accelerator and it looks really nice on the SES skate and I’m, telling you with the exponent boot. That is a hot race package and for a more recreational use, the sign X and the x3 binding x7 boot. And if you want to save a little money and get a nicer speak and certainly pair up the exercise. Ni ass, binding on the SES ski with the x7 boot. You.
Sort of another ski that we have in there it’s a much wider ski it still will fit in the track and the width. The extra width means two things. One is going to be a lot more stable for learning. So, if you’re worried that you know you’re gonna, maybe turn your ankle when you’re learning how to ski. This is a great choice. It also because it’s wider, it will work better in you know off trail situations.
So if you do have a trail in your backyard and maybe it snowed last night, you know a nice wide ski will help to break a trail a little bit easier. So stability and flotation are the benefits of a wider profile. Otherwise you know it’s still a great ski all-around rate and touring Center great on your backyard trail and whacks list. Just like all the other skis are that’s the ebo trail from Rossignol picking the ski is one piece of the puzzle: the other is the boot.
You got to make sure you have a nice boot here. We kind of have them lined up from the basic Alpina t-ten touring boot and by the way any of these boots will work perfectly fine on any of these skis. The alpena t30 and ether t men’s and women’s have a cuff and a strap and a plastic heel counter. So the whole heel and upper portion of this of the boot is more powerful, so it can make easier, turns and steeper terrain and then the Rossi X, 5 and X 5.
W same kind of idea has a cuff, with a strap for more support. Cozy comfortable, warm touring, boots, you’ll love any of these boots, but think about what you want to do. You want a little more control. Are you thinking you know having a cuff for more powers of is a nice feature, then consider looking at these two and also having a women’s option is nice.
Otherwise, you know if you’re just trying to get in going to 10 it’s great boot. We have that paired up in ok and a package on the solution, as I said work great on any of these. We have the t30 as an offering with any of these skis, and we have a nice package built around the Rossignol Evo tour with the X 5 or X 5 fw. As far as bindings go here, we saw the Evo tour, which has the mis system.
This is et for auto, auto, meaning that the binding is sort of automatic. You take your boot. It’s got a little bar on it. This is the NNN boot they’re, all n and n boots. I, don’t know if I mentioned that or not, but in turn n Touring versus n, n n BC and then means there’s two grooves and a single bar. The Touring means that it’s the touring sole, the BC, is a little bit different.
It’s wider, so they’re not compatible so make sure if you have an internet touring binding that you get in a Natori Moot like this, you step down. Click in and hockey go to release. You take your ski pole. You push down on that and you pop out other skis, like the solution, do not have that black bonded plate and you just well I was gonna. Show you the NS plate leather binding on it, but you have to drill into the ski and screw the binding on the fighting is essentially the same thing only it’s called the t3 auto and once it’s mounted it works in the same fashion.
So there’s your two sort of binding options.
Hey this is Jans Expert Patrick Coffey here to talk about the Rossignol WCS S1 Skate Ski and their Premium Boot So I’m, going to start with the ski This ski was designed by Rossignol to perform best on hard tracks. My favorite, feature:, It corners, so well, It’s got a low long. Camber pocket makes it really stable on hardpack conditions. Because of that, you don’t get those hot spots that are gonna make the ski feel squirrely at all. This thing run very very quickly.
Both downhill and uphill. A lot of low-cambered skis can sometimes not feel as free. Climbing This thing is great in all conditions. It’s, probably definitively my favorite new ski that I’ve got It even has its own specific factory grind intended for cold hardpack, condtions Premium Boot from Rossignol: It’s, a new boot for them this year, It’s incredibly light It has a full carbon sole that goes into the heel counter Such a stiff boot High performing the reason for that.
Not a lot of give I really enjoy that about this They also switched back to a Velcro system, There’s no ratchet it’s simple, fully adjustable and again, incredibly lightweight Thermo-moldable on the inside So they’ve also made it so it’s just the lower bootie There’s, not the piece from last year that comes up around the ankle. Less material, Again lighter and streamlined New, locking, lace system, It’s, smaller, very effective Still has the pull.
So you can cinch up around the base the foot and then move up so that you get a nice wrap all the way around the foot Makes it really comfortable. You can make this boot your own For, more information on the WCS S1 Skate Ski, or the Premium Skate Boot from Rossignol visit us at jans com.
I am the 2019 American Birkebeiner champion today. I wanted to talk to you about some of my favorite raw signal products that I’ve been using over the last eight years. This here we have is the s2 it’s kind of my go-to ski. It covers the widest variety of conditions and resources, and so I really love my s2 s that I use this past year during the American Birkebeiner I was racing on s2 s and with about 5k to go, I got a feed from the raw signal.
Rep and I dropped. My water belt and I decided. These are the last Hills of the course I need to kind of make my move here and so I put in a surge and some of the elite men we’re starting to catch us and go buy us women and so I. Try it as hard as I could to draft it off of some of those men and I made it about until the lake and then over. My shoulder I kept seeing these two figures right behind me and I.
Just kept thinking I have to go, I have to go I, don’t know. If I can do. This I’ve still got a lot of racing left in me, and it wasn’t until I went down Main, Street and I finally crossed that finish line that I realized I have done it, and these s twos had carried me the whole way.

Hey it’s Steve with Fisher I’m here to for nineteen, twenty, we’ll start with the World Cup boot. The speed max this is our top-end boot. It’s our lightest boot. This one features a full one-piece carbon chassis for great energy transfer and a full carbon cuff up on the top. It’s got a new outsole on it this year. The Nutri mech 2-piece outsole, is a lighter choice than what we’ve had in the past. This one has a unique inner boot compared to the other models in the lineup.
It’s a little bit lower cut, so it takes weight out of the boot, but it’s done in a really solid fabric, with a lacing system that really wraps the foot and really locks you in for good control. That’s also available in a women’s fit it’s a little bit narrower cut, but do realize that the the black version comes in smaller sizes as well. So if you do have a wider foot, you can try that option next step down is the carbon light. The carbon light is also a former World Cup champion on this one, still full carbon components on the heel counter and on the cuff, but it goes to appiy backs sole.
This one on the inside has a more of a traditional high cup inner boot still full speed lacing on this one. So you get a little more comfort, a little more warmth. Out of this boot and you’ve got a full instep strap to help walk you in for a good, a good, solid, fit and energy transfer. This one also features triple F on the zip cover and that’s simply a waterproof breathable membrane that helps let heat out when you’re moving and keeps the weather from from getting in snow and ice.
The rcs there’s two boots in this collection, so here we’ve got the carbon version. This features a carbon heel counter down low. You get a lot of your power and stability off the base of the boot here, so we’ve maintained carbon for its stiffness down here, also a high-cut interview with the triple left membrane, and this one also adds now insulation to it. So if you’re in a colder climate for feet, just looking for a comfortable everyday boot, the carbon could be a good good fit for you, a few dollars less all the same features in the RCS skate now you’re going to full injection molded components, so no carbon in the scoop, but still the high cut, still the triple F and still the insulation, if you’re just getting into it, whether your team, skier or a fitness skier, you do have a couple of more water priced boots, the RC 5 skate.
This is still done on the race lap, so it’s got a nice performance, fit to it once again: injection molded components, installation and triple F, and then the RC 3 is the first price point that we offer in escape boo, and this is done on a slightly wider sport, lass, so very comfortable boot on this one. The cuff is, is just an injection mold and there’s no padding behind it, but still offers the triple F and still offers insulation. So there’s a full range of performance options here.
For you, the full range of price points go check these out at your Fisher dealer today,.
Here we have the Esk Pro top-of-the-line course. I say that, but seriously we took a brand new approach to the development of the boot start from the bottom here with the Rockefeller accelerator, sole, the one-piece carbon that wraps around- and actually here you can’t see it, but it goes forward as a spring. There’s a point that goes forward and then goes back. This allows the skier to get response when you ski around corners, this boot will respond to to the your movement moving up.
We have one of the biggest news out of the market within 30 seconds. You can screw off the cuff me cuff. Less a lot of our athletes have really wanted that to have the freedom and be able to to decide the forward movement yourself instead of having the cuff to decide it. So now, with our boot, you have the option brand new carbon rock hard rock solid, very torsional, stiff height outside cover, and then, when you move on the inside, you will se see one of the things that we take great pride in with Alpina.
We have very, very sophisticated lacing system, and this lacing system goes around the whole foot but, most importantly, it’s set up in a way to really create the best fit for your feet. So we carry these this. We take the elements of the top level boots and carry it down through our other models and touring and recreation, but it really sets a standard and we spend a lot of money on R&D on the top level. You can see it go really far forward to ensure that your your your toe is locked in then moving back.
We have in the heel silicone injected heel, counter that allows you to lock the lock the foot down and have no friction whatsoever when you push off with maximal power to ensure that older power goes straight down into the ground when you push off and you don’t have to use an energy other than that, we used Thinsulate in all our boots to ensure that there’s somewhat warm, of course, top raising product not created to be a super warm product, but a fast, quick and will ensure that gets you the quickest from A to B.
We take great pride in our race product and we’re we’re psyched to see people out here today on on our boots.
