Providing, reliable protection from the elements the Women’s Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket- is the perfect travel piece where you might be in towns and you might be in the back country. It would be great for hiking and back packing and just every day use The first thing to talk about with any rain jacket is the fabric and how it protects.
You from the rain. So Patagonia uses a two and a half layered H2No fabric, which is a proprietary Patagonia fabric that allows you to breathe, as you are moving. So in warmer temperatures. This is a breathable fully waterproof piece. It is seam taped, so you don’t have to worry about water. Sneaking, though the seams and the H2No fabric keeps you dry from the in-side by being breathable And, it keeps you dry from the outside from the rain.
It is 100 percent nylon rip stop material And, something else that just keeps you a little bit more dry from the inside and more breathable. Is the integrated pit zips in this piece So, the pit zips just allow warm air to escape. It is underneath of your arm, so you are still protected from the rain, but it is just going to allow you to be a little bit more comfortable as you are moving and as you are hiking This is a fully featured rain jacket, So, starting with the full length zipper.
You have two layers of protection in front of that zipper. You also have a storm flap behind the zipper, so that is really going to protect water from sneaking in through the zipper Down at the bottom of the jacket around the hem. You have points of adjustability on both sides. So. You can really cinch that down If, you are wearing a back pack with a hip belt or you are wearing a climbing harness.
This is definitely going to keep the bottom of the jacket cinched down around you. There are two hand level pockets on this piece and one of the pockets. You can actually stuff the jacket down into that pocket. But. These are really comfortable hand, level pockets, So. They are set up height enough that if you are wearing a back pack or a harness, you can still access the top of the pocket.
They are not set up too high that it is uncomfortable for every day use Again. You do have pit zips under your arms and right here on the cuff. You just have an adjustable Velcro cuff, on either side Moving up to the collar and the hood. You have a lot of adjustability there So the hood is big enough. You could wear a helmet underneath of it But.
It is not so big and bulky with all of the adjustability. You have there that if you are wearing it for every day use you can cinch it down and it is it doesn’t feel too big. The jacket actually has an area where you can roll up the hood So. If you aren’t wearing this jacket in the rain, if you are just wearing it as a windbreaker, you can roll down that hood so that it is out of the way- and it is not bulky The fit of this jacket- is exactly what I would expect from Patagonia in their more relaxed fit in their rain pieces.
I am wearing a small right now and I normally wear smalls in Patagonia. In most of their other women’s outerwear pieces, I have enough room to move I don’t feel confined wearing this size. Small And I am wearing a light weight, fleece piece underneath of this and a light weight, t-shirt So. There is definitely room to layer up underneath If you like to wear your jackets a little bit tighter I might size down, but all in all, this fits really well I feel like I can move in this, and there is enough room in the shoulders that if I am moving around I don’t feel like the jacket is going to ride up on me.
All in all this is the perfect all around rain jacket. You are going to be completely protect-ed from the elements with that H2No fabric And. It comes in fun, colors, fun, style lines, So, it is going to be just as at home, downtown as it is in the backcountry It is the Women’s Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket.
Torrentshell jacket: this is a simple waterproof breathable jacket that you can wear anywhere and know that you’re going to be protected from the elements Patagonia is using their proprietary h2no performance standard fabric, so you’ve got different layers in the construction here. It is a completely waterproof, seam taped piece and you also have a DWR finish on the outside, so that water is going to bead up and run off with that.
Durable water repellant finish, but the fabric here is waterproof, so it’s going to also be breathable with that DWR coating, keeping the water off of the outside of the fabric, the thing I love about the torrentshell line and this torrentshell jacket is that you can wear it downtown. You can wear it to class, you can wear it in the backcountry and you know that it’s going to protect you you’re gonna, fit in, and it’s just going to be a really comfortable piece now.
The features here are simple starting down here on the hem. You do have an adjustable draw cord. That goes all the way around, so you can definitely cinch that down. You’ve got a full length zipper here and the interesting thing about the zipper is you have two layers on the outside of protection, so water isn’t gonna sneak its way in through the zipper and then you also have a storm flap behind the zipper.
So that’s definitely gonna protect you there. If you’ve got a lot of rain coming down, you’ve got two hand, level pockets and these pockets are also protected by a flap. This flap here also kind of gives it a clean look. So it doesn’t look like a super technical jacket again, allowing you to wear it anywhere and then moving up. You do have a nice collar so because this is a waterproof piece, its wind proof as well.
So if you need to zip it all the way up comes up to a nice collar in there to protect you and you’ve got a pretty big hood. It’s definitely a helmet compatible hood, so you can climb with this piece. The hood is nice and big, but you can adjust it with two points of adjustability. There’s one there on the back that adjusts the volume of the hood, and then you have another adjustment that comes out here and you can cinch down around this area and the thing I love about this adjustment.
Is it actually comes out of the outside of the jacket and sometimes on waterproof pieces with a big hood. I need to cinch it down, and then it gets kind of bunchy on the inside. So they pulled that cord out to the outside. It’s a small feature, but it makes a big difference to give a little bit more breathability. You do have underarm vents, they’re really easy to get to and the vents are pretty big.
So that’s going to dump out a lot of that excess heat. So if you are hiking backpacking or if it’s simply a warmer day, you can unzip both of those and have a lot of ventilation. Now the fit of this jacket is spot-on to what I would expect from Patagonia. It is a regular fit, so they give you a little bit more room to move plenty of room in the shoulders and in the back, so it’s not going to constrict movement, I’m wearing a small right now and I, normally, wear smalls and I can definitely layer underneath of it.
If I need to right now, I have a lightweight t-shirt and a base layer on and I feel like it’s really comfortable. This is exactly the size that I would get with so overall, the torrentshell jacket is your do-it-all piece that you can grab day-to-day. You can take it into the backcountry and know you’re going to be protected. It’s the women’s Patagonia torrentshell jacket.
Fully waterproof breathable h2no performance standard hardshell made for torrential downpours. We make the tuna half layer torn shell with durable, 100%, recycled, nylon, ripstop with a waterproof breathable barrier and a DWR finish. The fabric is also blue. This jacket has a three panel hood with a built-in visor and elasticized under the brim, gusset provides a protective fit.

It has a pair of zippered hand-warmer pockets with reflective, webbing poles and an internal mesh drop-in pocket to carry what’s needed. Just try to keep your child indoors, get the most from winter torrents and summer monsoons with our waterproof breathable girls, torrentshell jacket,.
Hey there clay king with granite sports me today, one of my favorite new products brand-new from Patagonia. We just got them in the store. This is the insulated torrentshell jacket just in time for winter. This is the perfect jacket for extremely cold and wet conditions which we’re gonna have all the time. Now it’s winter in South Dakota, starting with the outside of this jacket, it is waterproof the material that they’ve used for the outer layer of this hard.
Shell jacket is Patagonia’s h2no fabric, which, if you can see here, is a waterproof, extremely durable and yet breathable waterproof fabric. You can just feel it it. You can just tell how heavy-duty it is. It’s gonna last a really really long time. The nice thing about Patagonia’s, waterproof fabrics. A lot of companies sometimes will test their waterproof fabric on their jackets with a brand new jacket. So they’ll take one off the showroom floor, they’ll test it to see if it’s waterproof and a lot of times it is, but the problem is after years and years of use a lot of times that waterproof fabric will break down in the jacket will no longer be a waterproof.
What Patagonia does is that they will take. They will test the garment when it’s first brand-new and then also they’ll, take it and subject it to a machine that simulates three four five six years of rugged use and then retest it again to see if it’s waterproof, if it hasn’t maintained its waterproofing back to the drawing board. So you know you’re getting a jacket. That’s gonna be truly waterproof for years and years to come. The great thing about this jacket is it’s your also durable water-resistant, and that means that any water that falls on here it’s waterproof, but it’s not going to spread out over this surface either.
It’s just gonna, it’s gonna form into beads and then just roll right off of here. The same goes for the inside here. It’s also water repellant here. So if you’re, if you’re walking around and let’s say you’re hiking and it starts to raining dude- you don’t zip up right away and you have water falling right here. It’s not gonna soak into the insulation. It’s not gonna soak into the inside and compromise your warmth or insulation. It’s just gonna beat up and roll right off and keep you warm.
So that’s really great another one of my favorite things about this jacket is these zippers are actually a coated, watertight zippers. If you see, if you have a opportunity to feel them, you can feel that they’re almost rubberized they feel like rubber, and so when you’re, when you’re zipping this up, you can just see all that come together into a completely waterproof seam, because you don’t want to be buying a really nice waterproof jacket.
That’s really not going to keep you waterproof if it’s leaking everywhere that there’s a zipper, and so that’s a really important element of this jacket. A couple other things: the insulation on this jacket to be keeping you warm and waterproof, is the 60 gram, Primaloft eco, a synthetic insulation which is a really fantastic insulation. It can hold its own up against any down. That’s out there, not only that, but it’s also stitch into this jacket.
It’s got kind of like a quilted pattern here, so it’s keeping all the insulation distributed throughout the jacket, and so that’s going to prevent there from being hot spots or cold spots in the jacket and make sure that you keep equally warm throughout. This jacket also has is helmet compatible. That means that this helmet this this, this hood right here, is structured in such a way that can accommodate a helmet if you’re into any sort of alpine sports that might require a helmet to keep you safe and so that’ll be really important.
If that’s what you’re into a couple other things, this is gotta love the color I love this green. Not only is this gonna be keeping you warm and dry, but it’s gonna be you’re gonna, look great! Well, it does. It’s got a real nice athletic fit to it, but it doesn’t feel constricting in any way shape or form. So if this is your thing, if you need to stay warm dry, this winter come check it out. It’s one of the best jackets we have for this.
The weather that’s coming up and you’ll be glad. You did.

I have owned the patagonia men’s torrentshell rain jacket for a number of of hiking and traveling with me. So I thought it’s about time. That I give you guys my honest review. Let’s go hello, long-distance hikers and long-term world travelers Russ here, bringing you the best tips and inspiration for hiking around the world. As I said, I’ll have this jacket for quite some time now in a bit I’ll go over the things that I liked and especially the things that I didn’t like.
So you guys know all about that, but first, let’s go over some of the features and the specs also stick around to the end of this video, where you’ll get a top tip on waterproof clothing or this jacket back in 2016 for my six-month travel stint, around Southeast Asia I bought it from an Ellis brigham shop in London for about 110 quid I’ll put a link below in the description, so you can find out where to buy this from, and you also find my entire kit this there as well.
I’ve just needed a really good water resistant, breathable shell. That was gonna compact down really well. In my bag and was lightweight okay, let’s talk about some of the features. It has two really good, amply sized front zipper pockets see left pocket acts as a double sliding zipper, so it acts as a stuff sack. It has pit zips for venting those sweaty pits. It has velcro adjustable cuff straps, adjustable straps around the hood and the hip so that you can adjust the fit a visor cap on the hood and a really high zip to cover the neck.
Okay, now we’ve talked about some of the features. Let’s talk about some of the specs it’s made out of two fabrics which are 50 denier, nylon, ripstop and h2. Now I think H to note is Patagonia is patented, waterproof material I’m, not entirely sure, even though it sounds a little bit gimmicky. Overall, the jacket weighs just 343 grams, which is 12 ounces. Now we’ve gone over some of the specs and features. Let’s talk about some of the things that I’ve really loved about this jacket.
I, really love how light and compressible this jacket is. It does have these stuff sack in the left side pocket, but I find it actually compresses much better if you just roll it up, really tight and stuff it into the hood. It’s a really good fit for walking. I, wouldn’t say it’s a very good jacket to wear while running it’s really simple and minimal, and I really love that the zip comes right up to the neck, so you can actually tuck your face into the jacket when it gets a bit cold and keep you know than your face.
Warm it’s really good for that. It’s perfect for wearing on top of a base layer or a fleece, mid layer. It’s also incredibly durable stitching on this thing is incredible: I’ve had this thing for years and there’s not really any snags or anything like that, it’s still as good as new you. Okay, now we’ve gone over some of the things that I really liked about this jacket. Let’s talk about some of the things that I just didn’t like. So much is this jacket actually waterproof? Now they say it is on their website.
If you go onto the product page of this site, there’s some copy there. That says this is a waterproof jacket. In my opinion, nothing is completely and utterly waterproof. When I was in Indonesia, I was riding my moped and it completely bucketed it down. I was completely drenched and the rain just cut straight through it. I wasn’t working out, I wasn’t like walking or anything like that, so I wasn’t sweating, but on the inside it was all quite wet and my base layer was getting soaked as well.
However, I would say that this jacket is perfectly fine in light or consistent, drizzle or like a shower that isn’t too heavy. So is this thing waterproof? No, it isn’t in really heavy downpours and you are gonna definitely expect to get wet whilst wearing this thing for what this jackets gonna do, and what it does very very well is that it actually extends the amount of time that you stay dry. If you know you’re gonna be hiking somewhere and it’s going to be a torrential rain like rain forest star rain, then I’ll definitely bring this, but also bring like a disposable poncho, or something like that with you just to give you that added layer of complete and utter waterproof material, if you have a disposable poncho, even though they’re not very durable, at least you’ll have that layer of completely waterproof plastic that will just allow the rain to run completely off.
Another thing I didn’t like so much is that even when you’re walking with this thing on with the pit zips open, it doesn’t vent very well at all, because it’s quite a straight fit you’re still gonna sweat in this thing anyway, also when it’s in hot conditions and raining- and you put this thing on in your hiking, all of the condensation from your sweat just sticks on the inside, so I really don’t enjoy wearing water-resistant shells. Just like this one I think that’s consistent across all of the waterproof shells out there I mean I, just find it a bit icky when it’s hot and rainy and you’re walking and you’re all covered in sweat.
So but hey, that’s part of embracing the suck. Isn’t it the last thing that I’m not too keen on about this jacket? Is that quite often the zipper on the way up to do it up gets really stuck with a bit of akut I’ll? Actually, do it right now, so I’m gonna take it off and they’re already at the very bottom. It’s stuck just like that, and you have to keep constantly like taking the thing out and then putting it back in and then taking it back out like.
Are they gay? So it’s done it, but that’s every time, I just don’t know why they don’t design these jackets so that that doesn’t happen. It’s a bit like a teapot that drips I. Just think these things can definitely be easily avoided in the design process and when you’re testing them. This thing must have been obvious, so either I’m doing something wrong, but how hard can it be to do is if I up I don’t know overall, the patagonia men’s torrentshell water resistant breathable.
Shell is a fantastic jacket. It’s made of very high quality materials. It’s got a very strong stitch on it. This thing is gonna. Last me for that absolutely years it’s comfy to wear it’s a good fit. Obviously, there’s gonna be a few things that I don’t like about it. There’s gonna be a few things that you don’t like about it, but for 110 quid and for this quality and the protection against the elements that it gives you. You can’t really complain.
Okay, top tip, as promised waterproof clothing is only designed to keep you drier for longer. It doesn’t guarantee that you’re not gonna, get wet. If you’re out there in tarantula rain, you’re gonna get wet. These things are going to happen. You just have to embrace that. Obviously, the better the waterproof layer, you have the longer you’re going to stay dry, but eventually you’re gonna get soaked so just manage your expectations with this kind of clothing, but I do wish on their website.
They would say: okay. This is waterproof for like light rain and drizzle, but not for heavy downpours when you’re on a moped I mean that’s quite an extreme kind of case there. I don’t like these companies sometimes make a claim on their websites, and it’s just not true, so yeah manage your expectations with that. Okay, everyone, a campfire question: what waterproof breathable shells do you own and why let the Trail Hunter community know in the comment section below.
We would absolutely love to hear from you thanks for watching this video everyone. If you liked it then hit that thumbs up be sure to watch either of the videos to my site here. Also, if you aren’t already do consider subscribing to my channel for more videos, just like this one and I’ll see you guys in the next.

Hi I’m Sara from get out there, gear reviews and the past few months, I’ve been testing out the Patagonia women’s torrentshell jacket, whether I was commuting to and from work walking the dog or hiking at the cottage. This jacket kept me a hundred percent dry and it also provided great break from the wind. The 2 5 layer, nylon, torn shell jacket, provides h2no performance, standard protection, that’s durable, waterproof, versatile and packable, making it a go-to choice when you’re out and about it has a lot of great features that help keep the rain and wind away, including one of my favorite ones, being the two-way adjustable hood with laminated visor draw strings to pull tight and that rolls down and Stow’s away when you don’t need it.
It also has a micro fleece lined neck, which provides some warmth and comfort on cool and damp days. A couple of other features: I love about this rain jacket, is how light it is weighing in at only 362 grams or 12 8 ounces, as well as having the venting zippers under the armpits. Not many rain. Jackets have this feature, but Wow do they ever come in handy, especially when the weather is warmer and you need some air circulation. Patagonia’s proprietary, durable water, repellent fabric, finish deluge, DWR lasts substantially longer than standard DW RS.
The jackets with this technology have proven to have a like-new water and win for palin c. After years of extensive use, which is part of why Patagonia has such great gear, the breathability isn’t the greatest, but with the help of the underarm zips, you can certainly remain comfortable I found that the fabric felt and sounded a bit crunchy at first, but it did soften up the more I wore it. It has self fabric hook and loop, cuff closures and an adjustable draw cord hem to seal out the elements.
When the Sun comes out, this jacket stoves in a self stuff hand warmer pocket with a carabiner clip-in, a loop which is great when you’re out on the trails and the weather changes you just pull the pocket out with the double zipper start stuffing the jacket into the pocket and zip it up to make a pouch patagonia offers an ironclad guarantee on all their products. So if you’re, not a hundred percent happy with something when you get it or it doesn’t perform to your satisfaction, you can return it for repair replacement or a refund.
This shows great pride in their products, confidence in their brand and goes a long way with customer loyalty. This no frills rain jacket delivers all day waterproof and durable comfort worthy of the worst conditions that you could face while out and about check out all the colors and sizes on the Patagonia website, I’m Sara, for get out there gear reviews now get out there and enjoy the great outdoors. You.
Hey guys how’s it going Jordan here and purchased and received and I just wanted to kind of do a quick review of it. Show you what it looks like this is a men’s, medium and I’m kind of a medium build. So that’s what it kind of looks like. Has this little hood thing going on it’ll, zip, all the way up very protected from the rain, the wind, especially you can wear it like this as well on the inside is white, so it’s pretty shockingly white Tom.
It also has these arm pit zips to let out some of the heat while you’re hiking and such what I was going to tell you about it as the classic wrist size. It has this little pulley in the back of the hood, which I’ve never really seen before, which tightens a string around the top and literally make it sink right onto your head, and this little bill will act is the same as a little hat, and so it’ll literally like tighten up to where it’s just like your eyes and your nose and so um.
If you’re really I mean it looks a little funny, but if you’re really hurting hurting out there, that’s some to enjoy, and this tightens the standard circle um, let’s gonna show you there’s a Patagonia. Also the waist size will tighten as well and I’m, not sure the exact make all you need to know is that is the classic Patagonia windbreaker type deal. It is a awesome jacket and I’ll leave a link down below where I got mine and I’ll have the actual model of it wouldn’t be on Amazon.
You can check it out and check out other written reviews about it and stuff, but the reason I went with this one is I was looking actually for a North Face. One and I was looking through a bunch from the ones. I wanted we’re about 250 bucks. This one ended up being about a hundred and thirty hundred twenty somewhere in there and I actually liked it better, and so I ordered this one and having been more pleased, I’m a Patagonia fan anyway, but um yeah I’ll.
Let you guys check it out, you’re thinking about buying it. You search for this video I said yeah, it’s it’s good. You can probably find a sizing chart on Amazon where I got it. I can’t remember, I just know I’m a medium I think it only comes in small, medium XL and an XXL or whatever so pretty standard sizes. Let’s tell you you’re still here, so you want to know more. It is just a kind of like a windbreaker deal going on so uh.
You will have to wear so it’s very thin. Oh I can show you how small I guess. So, if you’re in actually a pretty cold situation, it works great, keeping out water, snow or whatever, but you will have to wear like a you know, some sort of undergarment some sort of wool or something, and that’s really the best way to stay warm as layers anyway. I like these jackets compared to a thick jacket already, but you know that’s all personal preference, but anyway, so it gets really hot.
While you’re out there right, you can literally like just fold this jacket up, pretty pretty small chuck it in the backpack start to raining again, pull it back out. You know so that was another thing I really like about it. It’s got a little quoc thing going on back here. It’s pretty nice in the back of the neck super comfortable, I, wear it a ton since I’ve gotten. It I’ve only had about two weeks now, but uh.
It’s already been in the rain and stuff, and it’s kept me perfectly dry. Actually, it’s been in the wind more than the rain and some of their well. It’s got two pockets here. Both zips I tell you stays clean because we need anything gets on it, swipe it off I’m, scaring I was moving recently and I was carrying a bunch of stuff. So I had these like lines on me from leaning stuff against me. I took a rag, real, quick, wiped it right off clean again um, so yeah check out the link in the description.
I’ll leave the link on Amazon, where I got it I’m, not sure the exact model name or make or whatever so I’ll, leave that there as well and yeah, have fun, hiking and stuff don’t die or anything be safe and I’ll. See you on the next review type deal where I tell you what I bought and why I like it or don’t peace out.
I’m here with the MU it’s hard to go in your torrentshell philia know the pentagon, you tore himself. Hey guys welcome back to another episode, be taking an in-depth look at an oldie but a Goldie. It’s the Patagonia down sweater, hoody, okay, guys. So, let’s jump into some of the specifications for this jacket. So this jacket comes in weighing just under a pound at 428 grams or 15 1 ounces. The shell is a recycled polyester rip, stop with a DWR finish and then for the insulation on this jacket. We have an 800 fill traceable, goose down, I’m gonna go into a little bit more detail later on in the video about what Patagonia has been doing with their traceable down products.
On the front of the jacket, we have a full length zipper with zipper garage to reduce chafing and irritation against the neck. We have two zippered external hand, warmer pockets and one internal zippered chest pocket this internal zippered chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack for the jacket we have elastic, hang around the cuffs and the jacket does have a drawstring hem with dual points of adjustability. So, let’s talk about the fit for this jacket: I’m six-three, 185 pounds and I’m wearing a size large.
The fit on this jacket is contoured and a little bit baggy ur in the waist area. However, I don’t mind it too much. What it allows for in my Fit is that I can comfortably layer without sacrificing any mobility. So, first, let’s touch on down insulation. Some of the benefits about using down as opposed to synthetic in a jacket is that down is going to be highly compressible, as well as the warmth to weight ratio is going to be superb. Now when compared to a synthetic jacket, synthetic jackets aren’t going to lose their heat properties when wet.
Now, when buying a down jacket, it’s really important that you be a conscientious buyer. I’m gonna play a clip right now that just sort of illustrates what goes into making these down jackets when the down is not sourced responsibly, you, and so what Patagonia has been doing over the past couple years, is ensuring that they’re down that’s being used in their products, is being sourced responsibly and is 100 percent traceable, and what that means is that no birds are being live, plucked, force-fed or killed in the process of extracting this down for the application of this jacket.
I think that this jacket performs best when worn around town or in the city would I recommend it for hiking or alpine climbing. It depends. You know it’s not going to be as lightweight or compressible as some of the other jackets in this category, so when compared to the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer or the Arc’teryx cerium LT, this is coming in a little bit heavier a little bit bulkier and it’s not going to move as fluidly as some of those other jackets might.
But it’s also a lower price point. The pricing on this jacket is two hundred and seventy nine dollars which, compared to other jackets in the category, isn’t that high once you get to those high performance, jackets like the cerium LT or the Ghost Whisperer you’re, getting well above three hundred dollars. This jacket performs well especially for the price tag that accompanies it. Overall, my score of this jacket, I, probably give it an eight point: five or a nine out of ten I love having it as a back up layer when I’m at camp or when I’m hiking.
Another thing that I like about this jacket is the style or the look of it. It shouldn’t be too much of a concern when picking out a performance down jacket. However, it’s definitely going to play some role in your choosing of your specific jacket. Okay, guys! Well thanks, so much for stopping by I hope that was helpful. Please click on the subscribe button below and we’ll see you for more reviews in the future.

The jacket has a regular fit so anticipates the likelihood that you are wearing this over top of low profile base layers even mid layers and also leaves open the potential for putting warmer layers. Over top of it.
There is Velcro adjustability at the cuffs, so you can kind of dial in the fit there. There is also dual points of adjustability at the hem, so you can cinch that in as well, It is a hooded jacket and there are multiple points of adjustability to dial in the fit of the hood as well. A couple of other features to call out on the jacket.
While it is constructed of a breathable fabrication. There certainly can still be instances where you are building up heat faster than that fabric is able allow that warm air to escape. Patagonia understands that, and it is why they have incorporated pit zips into the jacket So on either side. You have go ability to vent that jacket in those instances during aerobic activities, where you need a little extra help, pushing out that warm air staying cool and not wetting.
The jacket from the inside There are also zippered pockets. Here on the jacket Allows you to get your hands out of the elements, Those zippers also secure any contents that you may be storing inside the pockets and the left pocket also does double duty as a stuff sack for the jacket So. You can stuff the entire jacket into that pocket.

You.
Men’s torrentshell jacket, it doesn’t look like it right now, but this is how it looks like when it’s all packed up and now I’m gonna go through and I’m gonna show you why this is one of the best rain jackets out there. Honestly, it’s like I have a couple of rain jackets, and this is still one of my three favorites to go to I have a North Face, waterproof shell, but this torrentshell jacket honestly is pretty good.
It’s pretty light and one of the things that I really like about it is that you could pack it just like this. You could just throw it in your bag and you can necessarily just take it anywhere. You go if it doesn’t rain. You know it’s fine, it’s it’s waterproof! That’s like honestly, why you should get it and it’s! You can basically throw this over anything as I mentioned, it’s fine Patagonia and it’s a little pricey I would have to say it’s around one hundred and twenty-nine dollars, but we could get into that in a minute honestly, if you’re just looking and want like a quick reassurance like this is a great jacket.
It’s honestly one of my go-to jackets, for when it starts to rain and other than the North Face. A Patagonia Patagonia overall is like a really great brand. It’s like it’s like. Oh, they have very high values. They have very high standards for their clothing and honestly, it’s like there are a lot of benefits to buying a Patagonia item, especially because I’ve heard they had such good return policy.
Such a good return policy, but it’s up to you I think it’s a great jacket. If anything, it’s like you should at least go try it, but you get into all the details in a few, so I’ll go through and talk about this in a minute. Okay sounds good, okay, I’m about to play a clip right now of how this jacket looks on the body, so you’ll see that in a few minutes or I feel fine. You can see that in a few seconds of me trying this on I have to say beforehand that this is a medium I, always wear medium.
It’s my go to science and almost everything for me. It fits really well but, as you’ll see, there’s a lot of adjustable things on this jacket that make it really great, so I’ll go and show that right now. Okay, so now that you’ve seen how it looks like on the body honestly, the fits great there’s a lot of adjustable things within this jacket that you’re able to do wrist adjustments, you’re able to adjust on the hem and another thing that I didn’t talk about already going to show.
You guys is that there’s also adjustments here in the hood to tighten it if needed. So that’s a really great adjustment, honestly they’ve done a really great job. With this jacket, like I mentioned it’s my go-to jacket when it starts to rain. They have a rain guard right here, so the zippers protected, so rain doesn’t get through and another thing that I really like about this jacket is on the Left pocket, as I showed earlier in the video there is you’ll know right away that it’s a two sided zipper right here and what this is meant for is for you to store your jacket, and this is one of the key features and key selling points about this jacket.
I mean I reviewed, another, probably kind of go near jacket. It was the down sweater that had the exact same feature and basically, what it is is you’re able to shove, store to basically store your jacket within itself to make it look nice and compact to put into your bag or anything that you want anything that you want to. So here’s like a little loop that you’re able to just like hang it off the carabiner I’m more of an urban like commuters, so I usually use this jacket with a sweater.
Put this put this over it and I have a water, basically a two-part system where it’s keeps my sweaters keeping me warm, and this is keeping me dry and if someone wouldn’t proof honestly, it’s like if it was like just like a mid April shower like the weather, is kind of nice. I would just wear this by itself and I could use if it gets too. Hot I could always use the ventilators within like armpit region and just like just keep myself a little cool.
So overall I have to say this is a really great jacket for my purposes, if you’re going out hiking or if you’re, going out like just commuting on regular things, it’s a perfect jacket and I could talk a little bit more about this too. So see there we go so this jacket currently gives a hundred and twenty nine dollars. It has two reviews two and a half stars. I could kind of see where they’re coming from with these two and a half stars, I haven’t read the reviews, but some people might feel that it’s not up to Patagonia standards.
I think it’s great I think it’s like honestly, a really great jacket to own, but the price point can put people off so a couple of the other features that it has so product information, no matter what the conditions are stay protected in the Patagonia torrentshell jacket, this lightweight jacket features h2no performance standard, offering you the security you need from the storm available attributes combined with ventilating pit zips create a comfortable breathable style that provides a personalized favored rain, ready rain, ready features include storm flaps and shin guards shield you from the elements so I might have not shown that, but we could go over it still.
So it has a ton of features in here. I’m not gonna, go through all of it. Honestly I would have to say that overall, this jacket for the price I think it’s a little bit worth it. You could look for other waterproof jackets, but, like I mentioned, Patagonia has a really good return policy and honestly, it’s like their stuff for me- hasn’t broken down or anything in a patter for years, not necessarily this jacket, but some other jackets.
Like my down sweater, it’s like a hat for awhile and this one I’ve actually had it for a pretty good amount of time. So it’s honestly like it’s a investment at this price, but we can also talk about this other one that they have on their site. So this is the men’s. Torrentshell 3l, jacket, I, honestly haven’t looked at what the difference is between this jacket and the other one. Honestly, the price is a little bit higher at 149.
There might be some other features, but it looks like it’s almost the same, especially like when you’re going and packing it, so they might just use a different type of fabric or something else, but like I mentioned it’s, this one was closer to the one that I brought. This one looks exactly like the one that I have and a lot of the features that that the jacket I had had. So honestly, let’s see there, we go so honestly, it’s like just just to know.
It’s like you can’t go wrong, buying a Patagonian jacket. If anything, I would have to say you should buy it like see how it fits. If you like it, if you don’t try it like just go out and try it, but overall it’s like I have to say it’s like I bought this myself. I never got any of these products from anyone. I just have a lot of jackets. So let me know what you think. Let me know if you have one.
Let me know if you’re in the market for it and if anything, just if there’s any other comparable jacket that you think is better than this one just like. Let me know I’d like to know too, because I do have a couple of waterproof shell, jackets and honestly, it’s for me. I just use it for like just like commuting, but you might be using it for something else, and you might think this jacket is like complete garbage, but I would have to say for my purposes it’s not.
So let me know what you think if anything I would have to say just like has to throw it out there so like and subscribe. If anything, if you like this video or if you have anything else to say just yeah I think that’s about it. Okay,.
