Vomit, hello and he’s here to talk to you about the new ice. Climbing glove range updated, updated. So, yes, we have our ice. Climbing gloves are awesome and we did. We took all four and we just basically made him better. We hadn’t touched him in a couple years, maybe two or three years. It was time to update them the the range and the name stays the same, and the temperature ratings generally stay.
The same. The biggest difference, if you were to look at him, is we’ve removed all the padding from the front of the gloves, because back in the old days when people were climbing on straight shafts, the padding was there like to protect your knuckles. But now, with you know, modern curved shafts like this, you don’t really need to protect your knuckles because your knife doesn’t get in contact with the ice.
So the biggest difference there’s a bunch of little features, but the biggest difference is the dexterity in these gloves is incredible. Like incredible the lightest one, this is really kind of for dry tooling. This is called the torque and it’s really basically designed to be like a second skin. It’s it’s really tight. It’s super grippy and we have this really cool, seamless, pinky, so that see how there’s no seam there.
So when you’re hanging, when you’re doing your dry, tooling and you’re hanging on your tool, you’re not getting that seam digging into your pinkie, you know: cuz ice climbers are generally weak and soft and a bunch of babies like Matt he’ll, occur and all those guys and British guys. So we wanted to make a gloves that they would stop crybaby in about. So that’s what this glove is for.
So that’s the torque! Really, you know not intended to be warm. I mean it’s warm enough, but it’s intended for like performance dry, tooling, that’s the torque. The next step up, they’re kind of in temperature ranges. So that’s like the least warm the next one up is called the Terminator. It also has the seamless pinky again all the padding removed, so this would be for fairly warm weather ice climbing in Utah, where wear black diamond is.
This is a glove that a lot of us wear most of the time so still called The. Terminator still has the snot wipe material there. You know for when you’re approaching, but the seamless pinky no padding back here, insulation on the back of the hand a little bit in the palm really nice comfortable lining nice, cuff under the glove cuff, really like a high-performance ice glove, that’s the Terminator, then the Punisher is basically the big brother of that one.
Just a little warmer same features, the seamless pinky, really a similar design, again, no padding. So if you use an old Punisher versus this Punisher, the dexterity on this glove is just incredible, and this is when I would say it’s a little bit colder being from North America. This is like a glove that we wear like when we’re in Canada so warmer and then warmer still called the enforcer similar family just bump up up up warmer longer gauntlet, cuff gauntlet, cuff no padding this one because of the construction.
It does still have a seam on the pinky and this would be your warmest technical ice glove more like an Alaska kind of glove or when it’s really cold in Canada, for big warmth, but still the dexterity is unbelievable compared to when we had all the padding that kind of stiffened it up in your hand, was like a cloth now you can really grab this thing. So that’s the new line, the four same gloves all updated dexterity is unbelievable and warmth is the same.
Can we get used to say that all again in British now, yes.
Our crack gloves are highly rated by climbers. A thin rubber layer provides perfect hand protection while simultaneously offering maximum friction and sensitivity when climbing. Thoughtful glove design means the velcro is covered by the rubber, so that it doesn’t get in the way while climbing.
