Links on description if you want to get one of these, for yourself, hey, what’s going on Richard Beck, another awesome video for you just picked up a hat for the winter, and this is by a company called -33 and it is 100% merino wool and the reason we wanted to get one of these is I’ve. Had some darn tough socks in the past.

That’s the name of the company darn tough. They make really really amazing. Merino wool socks, really cool thing about merino wool is its antimicrobial, so you could wear them for days at a time and they won’t smell at all. It eats up all the the microbes which is causing the sweat you live out in the cold or you’re a contractor. You work outside or do something like that. Like me, you basically need something.

That’s going to keep you warm, it’s gonna be lightweight it’s something from nature: it comes from cheap, obviously its merino wool and it’s just an amazing amazing thing. So they are kind of expensive they’re. Not cheap but they’re totally totally worth it and I’m going to show you this hat it’s from my -33, but when I’m black too, which is really nice but I wanted to get a nice bright one for the winter is both working outside and I had to be out in the street or something cars could see me and they don’t run me over here is what they make check out other all season stuff to suit your adventure.

They make hats balaclavas in case you’re a ninja neck, aiders socks, scarves and gloves. So they make a whole bunch of really cool stuff, and she was the inside looks like he’s extremely late. That’s the one thing I will tell you about it’s very, very, very lightweight. It’s super super soft feel so comfortable, I’m gonna try this on I just tried it on, and it is extremely extremely comfortable. I got a pretty big head and it fits me very nicely.

You could pull it. It does stretch some of the hats that are merino. Wool do not stretch once you put them on. That’s it they’re super tight. You don’t like orange. They have black blue green red. They also have high vis yellow, like highlighter, yellow in case you need it for safety for working outside the other cool thing is merino. Wool keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, so believe it or not.

I wear the same wool socks that I wear in the winter. To keep my feet. Warm I wear those in the summer and it keeps my feet cool and it’s kind of an amazing thing, because it’s the only thing like in nature. That can do that. Hello, everybody I’m mr Rhodes and I’m the road today, we’re gonna do a review on the -33, specifically merino, wool shirts and under Bruce. That’s underwear for all you english-speaking folk or panties. Now, merino wool is different than your average. Run-Of-The-Mill wool, it is high-performance, it’s soft on the skin. It’s warm it’s durable! It comes from a specific type of sheep. -33 actually gets their merino wool from Australian sheep. That’s not all. There is the same as sheep I think so so.

Merino wool has a high warmth to weight ratio, meaning that for the amount of weight it has, it holds in an incredible amount of warmth. So it doesn’t take a big bulky thing to keep you warm that’s good for backpackers lightweight campers: you can wear this in all kinds of weather. In the warm weather it will keep you cool in the cold weather. It’ll. Keep you warm. Wool is really great for that better than cotton, synthetics I think I already said why I named to say you alright? Yes, they also are labeled lightweight and medium white, going back to kind of the weight, warmth ratio and when you’re gonna wear it.

The shirts that we have are a medium weight, so I’m wearing it now and it’s really cold outside and it’s doing its job yep. But this would be equally good for a nice 70 degree day. Yeah, the underwear are lightweight so you’d wear more often they’re, not gonna, be as warm then again, hopefully, if it’s cold outside you’re wearing more another benefit of merino wool is that it is a high wicking fabric should I, say hi. Another benefit of merino wool is its wicking abilities.

That means that it takes the moisture and I can’t even whatever. That means that the moisture okay start from the beginning, yeah. It just takes the sweat and it evaporates it go with it. That means that it takes your sweat right and disperses it and evaporates. Oh no I measure a wet day, even if it’s cold, so especially if you’re, an active which obviously you’re gonna wear this being active hiking in the snow or hiking in the Sun, you’re, gonna, sweat, and when you sweat water makes you cold.

So you want to get that off your skin. So even when wet just like any wool, it keeps you warm when it’s wet I think it actually says our merino wool wicks moisture away from the skin 30% faster than any synthetic which, speaking of the wicking abilities of these merino wool products when wearing the underwear it prevents a horrible hiking condition called butt chafing. It happens to the best of us and the worst of us happens: everybody yeah, it’s just master and friction and uncomfortable agitation.

It’s bad! These prevent that wicking away. The moisture keeps everything like a nice powdered room makes your mouth feel like feather pillow. Recently, my last summer went on a long hike in Yosemite and I wore the underwear and it was just smooth sailing. The whole time didn’t have any pain, agitation. Other members of my family, who were not blessed with the big wonderful marine it was earlier, they didn’t have a great time, but that leads into another segment. Merino wool is flame retardant, meaning that it doesn’t easily catch fire, and this is a big concern with, but Schafer’s it’s not a well-known issue.

This problem friction equals heat heat equals fire, so remember only you can prevent butt, chafing fires, I’m, pretty sure. That’s what happened when your simony was burning down last summer. Did it burn down? Well part of it was burning down, so I never caught myself on fire to see. If, if it’s true the flame retardant this but um, it is supposed to be a water resistant and just today, I wore this today by the way I spilt, coffee, down myself, which usually soaks in and leave stains, but it not only came off I seriously, just took a napkin and dabbed it and it was gone.

So there’s no wetness, no stain so I will say it is very awesome when it comes to the water resistant. Miss that’s a word. Another awesome benefit is the UV protection right, mm-hmm, especially beneficial in the underwear when you’re hiking, even in the wintertime I, guess there’s you know some problems, but especially in the summer when you’re hiking, sometimes you forget, sunblock, it’s always nice to have you meet protection right, always always nice not sometimes always boys.

Unlike other wool products, merino wool is washable, which is very important when you’re gonna sweat in something all day. Most wool isn’t middle shrink. You can also dry this tumble dry. It’s also fashionable I’m wearing it right now, just a scarf um, it’s really good in the winter, because you can kind of layer over it. It’s just a basic leather, get them in lots of different colors. So if you wanted something brighter yeah, but if you want to go to an art, show you got your black long-sleeve shirt, French art not to offend anyone, but French art show anybody.

You can buy merino wool products from a lot of different makers. Why Patagonia, REI, I’m sure North Face makes marina wool stuff buff head wear makes a marina wool buff. If you know what those are we’ll do over know on those later, it’s awesome yeah, it’s just a good I mean it’s a good material and a lot of people are seeing the benefit of the material and using it in their products. We opted for -33 because it is 100% merino wool, some of the other ones, are blends which they say have different benefits and negatives.

It’s it’s just up to you to the decide, what’s right for you, but you can buy -33 at Amazon, which is where we got it from and you can. Most of them are prime. So if you have prime Amazon Prime, that’s always a benefit. Yeah I find the best deal for you and enjoy your merino wool. It’ll treat you good for many years. It’s very durable, very warm, very cool, warm one, wet I, don’t know what else to say about it. It’s wonderful material and it’ll treat you right and our video really only scratches I think the surface of how great it is.
