SHARPENING
To re-sharpen your knife, use a whetstone at an angle of 15°– 20°. This will result in a cutting angle of 30°– 40°. If sharpening on a grinding wheel, always cool with plenty of water to avoid excessive temperatures and the resulting damages that may occur.
CLEANING
If the blades of knife begin to stick together, open and close the blades in warm water several times – this will allow the tools to move easily again. Once dry, apply a drop of Swiss Army Knife Oil between each tool and its spring. Do not put Swiss Army Knives in the dishwasher.
HISTORY & HERITAGE
In 1884, Master Cutler Karl Elsener opened a cutlery shop in Ibach, Switzerland. There, he and his cutlers’ union produced the finest steel cutlery, finished with the now-famous proprietary edge preferred globally by professionals and home cooks. Karl supplied the Swiss Army with its standard issue Soldier’s Knife and Officer’s Knife. After the death of his mother, and with the advent of stainless steel, Karl changed the name of the company to Victorinox. It is from those humble beginnings that a worldwide icon was born. Today, Victorinox is still owned and operated by the Elsener family, and both the company and family still resides in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland. EVERYDAY SUPERHERO

Hey, what’s up guys she’s doing a quick knife, I picked up off, Amazon I, think small as Victorian axe, knives, scaler logo right there, and this one has a it’s a three leaf clover on this side and it’s a good little pocket knife I like it get your scissors standard stuff, little blade. You know file and to pick worse well, tweezers think everybody has one of these or heads had one at one time with the end they’re, just a little keychain pocket knife cutting open boxes- stuff like that, but uh I like it, but you always look real smooth and then, after a while your keychain to get a little scuffed up little scratch stuff like this one is here, but still works really good, really liked it and yeah just thought.
I’d share that with y’all thanks a lot. You.
Hey everybody in Zack and thanks for a product review of the Victorinox Swiss Army knife classic SD model classic SD has been around for years. It’s really well known in the Swiss Army knife lineup and it’s really small, but it packs a powerful punch. Its height is 0 4 inches its length is 2, 3 inches and it weighs in at zero point 7 ounces.
So if you’re carrying this in your pocket on a key ring, you’re not really gonna even notice, it’s there, the classic se comes in a variety of different colors. It comes in the classic, Swiss Army red. You can get it in yellow. As you see here, they’ve got it in in just a variety of different colors. I personally picked the yellow, because, if I dropped this outside I wanted some bright that would be able to easily see these classic.
Sd has seven tools and let’s take a look at those tools right now, the main feature you know any multi-tool is gonna, be your blade, so it’s a two hand open, and it is not a lock blade. It will not lock. So you do have to you know, watch yourself it will. You know spring back on you, but right here you should be able to tell so this Victorinox Swiss made.
It is stainless, it does feature a stainless steel blade and it is quite sharp works quite well. It’s really useful I’m going to close that up and then on the other side we will open it up, and what you have here is a nail file and a screwdriver. This screwdriver here works really well as well. The screwdriver works really well on smaller screws.
You know we’re straight on, say: electronics I have used it on that. If the screws are torqued down really tight, it may not work as well as you would hope, but he does work and it will get you out of a jam and I really do like having that functionality with me, but on the bottom side or top of over how you want to look at.
It is my favorite feature, and that is the scissors and that’s because you know I can easily pull out the scissors. I can cut string with it. I can cut paper with it. I can cut whatever I need to to get the job done. They work quite well. It’s a great little hinge in there. I’m gonna pull out a piece of paper here right here, I’ve actually got the paper doubled and you can see right there.
It cuts through easily no problems with that at all. That’s, like I, said: that’s my favorite favorite feature of this another there’s a couple more great features to that’s really nice to have is right here on the side that has the shield is your tweezers. You know you see these in the larger Swiss Army knives. These are great, you know, say if you have a splinter or if you’re out in the field- and you have a ticker, so I mean you need to pull that tick off or pull that splinter out.
They work great and they just store right there on the right there and side of it and then on the flip side, you also have a toothpick. You know this can be used for multiple things punching holes and you know maybe like some fabric or a bag, or something like that. If you have to works quite well and then the last feature is the keyring I’ve seen people, you know the old top hair cord on this make like a little paracord chain off there CSI rope with you, but but you know, just whatever I mean kind of make it like a key tag, pull thing but yeah there you guys go, that is the Victoria Knox classic SD model like I, say it comes in a variety of different colors.
Come on a link to this model here in the description below so be sure to check that out, and you can he’ll get these for around 20 dollars or less. They are well worth it. In my opinion, you know they’re just a great great multi-tool to have with you. This video helped. You guys out be sure to give it a thumbs up, don’t forget to hit that subscribe button to stay notified of all my newest videos and you guys take care.
Hey guys, thanks for checking out this swiss army classic SD knife- and this is one of your most common sought after pocket knives, that’s ever been created and I thought what the heck I’m just gonna, I’m gonna just review this knife and do a quick review, so everybody can just get a better idea. What this knife is comes in lots of different colors lots of different flavors lots of different scales. They have pretty much every color, you can imagine, they may have stainless steel.
There’s been special designs, there’s been silver gold, all sorts of scales you can. You can buy these in the nice thing about this knife. Is it small? It’s really small and it fits well in your pocket. I’ll see if I can I’ll see if I can get some of these markings here you can tell if you got a real one: buy, buy the stuff on the blade, it’ll always say: Victorinox, Switzerland, right on the blade and stainless Ross free. So that’s the best way that you can tell if you got a real Victorinox, Swiss, Army knife, it’ll always say Victorinox in it and on top of it you can tell it’s a once.
You have a couple of these you’ll see how they engrave it. It’s really important because I’ve seen fakes that are also engraved, but they don’t do a very good job. There’s nothing on the other side, but on the main, blade I’ll, always say Victorinox. So yeah. This is the knife. What it comes with. It’s got a small blade. It’s got. It’s got a scissors, little just a little scissors, it’s got on the other side, it’s got the knife and it’s got. It’s got a file and it’s got a screwdriver tip.
So if you ever needed a screwdriver or anything, you got that nice tip there. You’ve also got a tweezers and you got a toothpick and you got a keyring. It’s got the keyring right there and on top of it all these little knives come with a lifetime warranty. So if the scissors breaks, if the knife blade breaks, if anything breaks on this knife, they will replace this for the life of the knife. Another thing: that’s important: is this logo? That’s the Victorinox logo, there’s also another brand that carries Swiss Army knives and that’s Winger I, like the Victorinox a little bit better than the Wenger once and this.
This is the classic Victorinox SD a little tiny, Swiss Army knife, but it’s a it’s a great little knife and it fits fits in your hand. Well, you can put it on a keychain you can put in your pocket. You can put in a survival kit, there’s a lot of functions on this knife that work really well for all sorts of circumstances that you may get yourself in a lot it. You may need to cut something. If you’re out in the woods you may need to do some stitching, you may need to open something you may need to do a little carving, it’s just a little nice, tiny, backup knife that you can put in your pocket and it’ll.
Just be a nice little handy knife. You don’t know how many times I’ve used these tweezers and I’ve used the toothpick and just needed a little knife or a scissors or a file. Lots of handy features with this little knife and you can usually get these for a buck. Two bucks on eBay I think this knife in the stores retails for ten or twenty dollars. You know it’s different stores have it for different amounts, I’m going to actually review quite a few other Swiss Army knives, because I really like the Swiss Army and the Victorinox brand.
This is just one that everybody’s seen. They probably have one laying around, but it’s a great little pocket knife and you will love this knife. And how can you go wrong? You buy something for a couple bucks and it’s guaranteed forever. You really can’t go wrong. So thanks a lot for checking out this sweet knife. This is the Victorinox classic. Sd have a great day.
Hey youtube sweet knives here coming to you, I got a sweet tip of the day, I’m about to tell you, but before I get into that, if you’re new to the channel hit the subscribe button check out the description, I got awesome links to amazon content and just all kinds of good deals on knives and other gear, so check out that stuff we’re gonna get right into it, guys we are looking at one of the most popular uh knives of all time.
This is the swiss army classic sd and the reason I got these four is these are one two three four different colors and if you were to buy these brand new you’re looking at 14 bucks and sometimes I’ve seen these even almost 20 in the store, so 20 40 60, you know 80 bucks or even if you’re saying 10, 10, 20, 30, 40 50 bucks right here on the table unbelievable well.
This is the tip of the day. I’m about to show you how you can get these really cheap and usually it’s a pretty good deal check this out guys. This here is a whole bunch of those knives, and how did I get this? I went on ebay and I literally won an auction and I think I paid like 50 bucks and I think, there’s I don’t even know how many there’s here 30 to 50, maybe 60 different knives here and yes, these do have little logos on them.
Some are bigger than others, but I’m about to tell you a secret and not all of these are going to be perfect. I mean you’re going to run into some that you know they’re they’re, just you know, for whatever reason: they’re, not you know exactly how you would how you would want it um, that’s okay! I mean not. Every single one is going to be perfect, but you got a really nice victorinox knife here and you got a whole bunch of them and the reason I’m showing you.
This is because you can you can clean these. You can clean these knives and they can become really usable. You can clean every part in here and you can oil them and a lot of them are are almost perfect. So the other neat thing is sometimes you can find uh more expensive ones in the mix, for instance this one here, you probably didn’t see it. This isn’t your normal one, it’s a little bit different, and so you can sometimes find these rare ones in the mix that are a little bit more money.
But here I wanted to show you something, and you know I didn’t bring out the sandpaper and stuff, but there’s a sequence of using you know different types of sandpaper like 400 grit and then like 800 or a thousand, and you just use this sandpaper really lightly, and then you can buff out with this plastic, plastic, plastic, stuff and I’ll put the link in the description to amazon.
You buy this plastic stuff and you buff it out and you can take off these logos really easily, in fact emler. He did this in one of his videos and I’ll even link to one of his videos. I don’t need to recreate the whole wheel, but he has an awesome idea where you just you basically just sand this stuff off. Put this plastic stuff on, and I’ve done this with a few of them and then all of a sudden.
This logo is no longer there and you got a perfectly good swiss army knife because a lot of these ones on ebay, the lots they have, these logos from companies. You know that they’re sample edition type companies. So look you just pick out a few that you like and put the rest in a drawer, give them away. They got all different colors literally. What am I going to do with all these? I mean I literally have no idea what I’m going to do with all these.
You could literally pick out a few of the ones you really like and fix them up. You know, buff them up, get them looking nice and then you can sell the rest, give them away, do whatever you want with them, but I mean it’s amazing and you get all the different hardware for all these. You get the toothpicks you get the tweezers all the stuff can be cleaned and is actually pretty valuable and worth money.
So I’m just letting you guys know. This is simple tip of the day: go to ebay and search victorinox swiss army knife lot and you will pull up tons of listings and there’s already people that know about this and are doing this. So I’m not telling anybody anything new, but um. You can do this and you can actually make really good. You can get really good deals.
I mean I literally got this whole thing of. I don’t even know 50 knives for like 50 bucks, so anyways guys, that’s my simple tip of the day check it out. I mean there’s nothing more simple than this. If you love victorinox and you love these swiss armies um, you can put one of these in your car every single carpet, a couple of them in your car backpacks.
You can literally have one everywhere and you don’t have to break the bank. So it’s a phenomenal deal and it’s a. I just think it’s an unbelievable tip just go to ebay, search, swiss army knife lot or victorinox swiss army lot and you’ll you’ll see what I’m saying so: hey thanks again guys thanks for checking it out, and I wish you guys all the best have a great day.
Hello, youtube how’s it going brian’s here and today we’ll be doing a swiss army knife sapphire mini. I think it’s like a mini one, I’m going to put the exact name on the description. I mean the title so yeah. So this is it’s tiny compared to a metro card. It is big. I actually keep this on my wallets because it’s super tiny and it has a nice little keyring so back to the main attraction. Why do I like this? Because it’s tiny, it’s simple: it has a little keyring.
You can attach it to your keychain. A word of caution. I don’t want to over stretch this so because, once you over stretch it it won’t come back. So be gentle be quick and gentle when you put this into your key ring, so uh forgot exactly all right so main feature first feature: we have a nice little stainless steel knife. That’s does it shave the hair? Okay, not sharp enough to shave my arm here so sharp, but not like. I’m pretty sure you can sharpen it to be like razor thin, so anyway, standard knife be careful because there’s no locking mechanism.
It’s just basically, you gotta finger nail, it come out and then here you go so standard knife. I think it’s like less than two inches- probably california legal- probably maybe maybe not don’t quote me on that, but it’s tiny um. Second one nail filer, I think it’s a diamond nail filer! It’s like a nail file: yeah yeah, nail filer with a flathead screwdriver, so nail, filer, flathead screwdrivers, that’s tool, number two, so that basically takes care of that. The other side has a pair of is that’s the only tool scissors.
I think that’s the only tool here right, so yeah scissors. I guess it’s good for cutting paper. Yeah, tiny scissors, nice little spring bar automatically opens up pretty sure it’s good for cutting paper of some sort. So mini scissors takes care of that here we have a toothpick for my teeth in case I have something stuck in between my teeth. I have a little toothpick thingy. Is this spent out of shape? I’m not sure? Yes, no a little oddly shaped but yeah I mean it’s not exactly.
Even maybe I bent it out of shape. Maybe it did me didn’t anyway, plastic, springy, toothpick, and you can lock it here and here my personal favorite tweezers good for plucking those unwanted hairs or anything. You need like tweezers for not sure about the grip. It’s really weird because it doesn’t feel like the most, because this is springy right, like you notice that springy it doesn’t feel as solid like grabbing stuff as possible. I mean I’ve picked out a hair or two with it and it’s worked, but I’m not sure like what the grip factor is.
So it’s like really just tiny it doesn’t it’s not sharp or pointy, just tiny tweezers. I guess you pick up some small stuff and I think these two are interchangeable inside. So I think it doesn’t matter what side you go in so yeah word of caution squeeze this down. I don’t think it matters. What the site is. There’s a nice click feel to it. Doesn’t I don’t think it matters what side it goes in so yeah we have the one two, I’m not going to put that all the way. Three, four five, so one two three four flat head: five: six! Two square: if I missed one, let me know in the comments section below and uh yeah here we go thanks for watching.
Because I just didn’t think the knife was sexy enough, but you know what the more I’ve had it, the more I like it, the more functional I think it is so I think it does deserve its own review. I’ll, be it it’ll, probably be very short. This is the Victoria Knox classic XD is a very small knife and it has a lot of functionality to it now, as I suggested, if you’re in a room full of a bunch of knife people- and you pull this out- it’s probably not going to turn heads or people aren’t going to in awe at it.
But the thing is just so handy to have around it’s a great one to have in your inventory. Let me go over it real, quick, let’s got on it, it’s got a blade and it comes. It comes very sharp I, like the sharpness of the blade. Just out of the box works very well. It does not lock it’s just more of a penknife type. You have a nail file and you’ve also got a screwdriver head on the top of that. On the other side, you’ve got a small pair of scissors and I use these all the time.
It’s amazing how much I use these also you’ve got a pair of tweezers and again I use these for a ton of stuff stuff. You’d. Imagine you know. Slivers working with a lot of wood, do a lot of carving that kind of a thing, but also I’ve, pulled glass out of my boys. Finger and I have pulled a bee stinger out of my boy’s foot. All kinds of thing that has come in handy for oh I pulled a sliver too out of my boy’s fingernail.
It went from here all the way down and had to get in there and pull that out and then on the other side you have a toothpick and then the third function. What they’re, counting as a function on this is a little key ring. So you can put that on your car keys. If you want and just have it around with you, what I do with this is actually put it in my coin, pocket of my Levi’s pants and use it as a secondary blade to whatever main blade I’m carrying it’s a great one for the office.
If you work in one of those offices where you know maybe something like this is going to scare people, and this is a great option to have, because then you can pull this out and around the office. Typically, if you’re in one of those types, this will work for pretty much anything you would need, but wanted to get this one out there guys it’s about eleven twelve bucks depending on where you get it, and there is a model if you’re really interested and 135 dollars.
My point in saying that is that there’s a lot of options with this little model, a lot of color variations, a lot of patterns on that on the handles here and then that one, that’s really expensive is I. Think it’s a sterling silver, but anyway, yeah for 11 bucks I should have brought the other one down. I have one for myself: I have one for my son they’re well worth the purchase. If you lose it yeah go out and buy another one.
There’s a chapstick. You can see the size comparison of the classic XD compared to that. So it’s a very small knife, it’s very thin, very lightweight. Obviously, a great knife check it out. If you haven’t see you later.
That’s correct, so nothing I, put laid as quite a few of my videos on now, but well know. You’ve had some app reviews. I’ve done, please I think I needed I saw them do that slip away out of the way, and here we go is what I had bought from Amazon actually and more more of animals at Amazon. Amazon sellers is the original Swiss Army knife made in Switzerland. Obviously it’s the classic SD with seven functions.
Seven functions. We have the thin blade, not dial fall nail file, screwdriver scissors, keyring, toothpick and tweezers so yeah. This is the white version. I’ll just get this for some unboxing videos. This is a brick, it’s pretty ugly horrible. This is more places it’s supposed to be 10 times sharper to us, hoping it’s gonna, be anyway or after sharpen it. But this is. This is a much nicer, looking knife to be used in videos zoom in really slow camera.
As you can see, Swiss Army knife logo there, the keyring pop out this side, you have the real good scissors, really good scissors. These are try two more another penknife the same one. Obviously, down here we have the thin blade, can’t really see what says down there, son or father or the says Victorinox Swiss made stainless yeah interesting, so it close it up pop out the back one, which is actually a flathead screwdriver on top and nail file there as you’ll know these.
Well, you probably if you don’t know about these anyway, but yeah, the tweezers toothpick, if you’re more information about any knives or stuff like that and guns and stuff anything well, he does loads of stuff check out cutlery, lover and definitely hit awesome. Channel I love his videos and everything so go check him out. I, don’t know ever to do a review on this knife or not.
So that’s another question for you. Do you want a review on this knife? If I get some requests, I’ll do one and put it up there. You don’t have to watch if you don’t want to you can if you want to, but you know tell me if you want to tell me if you want a review on this or not. If you say no, then if there’s a lot of people saying no, it looks like one person saying it: life as anybody says.
Yes and I’ll do a review on you, but if not then I probably won’t do a review, so that has been the unboxing of the original Swiss Army knife I’m shaky very excited to eat, so stay tuned to channel subscribe over there there there or there, wherever the house pour over there there there or there that’s where wherever the subscription button is going to be now subscribe for the latest videos and follow me on Twitter for updates- and you would have already known about this if you’re on Twitter a few more bits and stuff I, don’t talk about on YouTube.
So follow me on Twitter we do video twitter com, 4/10 begins the aa8 and subscribe comment and write thumbs up. We will see them out, come on camera thumbs up thumbs down. If you read our nice video, obviously, but and yep, hopefully, I’ll be a thumbs up comment. What are you doing with your iPad and wait for 3g 2g bought it buying it? What you doing and a review honest, yes, woman, so ok, see you guys in the next video.
Hopefully something exciting for you, guys, I, don’t know yet, but I’ll see in the next video and take care.
Talking about why you should be carrying one of these, let’s talk knives and go how’s. It going guys welcome to knife banner, and today we are talking about the top five Swiss Army knives of all time. Kicking it off with the SD classic Andrew. Tell us all about this. Jim yeah, guys, I, don’t think it could be any other knife, because this has to be the most confiscated knife in history. Everybody’s got one of these on their keys. I think my dad alone is lost over a hundred of these since I’ve been alive.
These come with a blade scissors, a file, a screwdriver. This is an awesome piece, pick it up for just $18 99 1899. It comes in a bunch of different flavors. This is the walnut version that just got released and, of course, that sweet, sweet, lady HQ exclusive mermaid I, almost answer her siren song, yeah great great fit a pocket knife, great keychain knife, alright. So next up guys we have the cadet. Now this is the a locks version of the cadet, which means that the scales are made out of aluminum.
So what you get is you get a sturdier scale feels really nice looks super classy, but you do miss out on getting the tweezers or the toothpick. With this particular version. This version goes for. $31 99 on the website has nine tools inside of it and my favorite tool on this particular one is the can opener. Now you might ask yourself: when was the last time you needed a can opener, probably not often, but it’s one of those tools when you need it, you need it and that’s what I love about the Swiss Army knife? Is you take it you throw it in your pocket and you’ve got what you need when you need it.
You can just forget about yeah, so anyways super-sweet knife. This is the cadet nice and slim very classy, and it’s going for $31 99. You can’t go wrong with those a locks variance, that’s so premium yeah guys, the next one we’re gonna talk about. This is my personal favorite knife from Victorinox. This is the Tinker in a blade, atchoo exclusive, lobo, loco, colorway, hello, guys so much you don’t know. That means crazy wolf! It’s like something straight out of a minor league baseball team, but this nice awesome going from that classic SD.
This knifes gonna get you a few more features. You’re gonna get two blades that awesome can opener bottle, not opener some screwdrivers you’re getting a lot of tools. This is kind of that first, full multi-tool in a very compact package. Take it anywhere with you, I love it and guys. If you want to step up just to the next level, going from the tinker to the super tinker is gonna get you the beautiful and amazing feature of spring loaded scissors. You can’t go wrong with this on your Victorinox knife, it’s one of my favorite things.
So this would be my pick. The super tinker coming in at $31 99, while our regular tinker comes in at just 26 1940, our just like cheap made little like tchotchkes, you buy it at tourist, easy times. These are like real tools made in Switzerland. Just like a ten thousand dollar Rolex yeah, you know Swiss craftsmanship as they say, and then the thing that I love about the scissors on that is that it’s one of those things this knife guys. Of course, you always want to just cut with the knife in your pocket, so I carry a Swiss, Army knife and my regular pocketknife, so only when nobody else is around well I.
Take the scissors out and I’ll use this as your stuff, but I’ve got it when I need I stand for the scissors, guys, not all the time, but they have it plain they have their place. They have a good place all right guys. As you know, with knife banner we like to take the knives on the table out and have a little fun, so we actually took out one of these Swiss Army knives and did a little cookout. Let’s see what we got into alright guys today, we’re gonna be doing some food prep with a Swiss Army knife.
Now, for you guys watching at home our awesome national knife day celebration was a couple weeks ago, but right now, while we’re filming we’re in the middle of trying to get all your orders out, we’ve been working overtime, double time, so I figure, if I got to do food, prep I, might as well make something tasty for the guys inside and cool thing is I finally found a use for the parcel hook. Do you want some skewers I definitely want to do it. Hugga hugga.
There you go -, mr Choi. Thank you guys do the best. You know that right, not bad I broke your bottle. Oh, you may not want to drink that. There’s my tea glass inside the bottle, so I was pretty excited. I should have had you out there. Cuz you’re, the chef right but I was just excited. I got a process, some proteins in my pocket knife. Oh man, that they’ve been processed process death process. You know it was a great slicer. I was actually really stoked at how well it handled that’s the thing man.
These are thin. Blades, good steel and they’re gonna perform yeah they’re gonna, look great dude, yeah yeah, all right guys, let’s check in with our product team for some sales and grails alright guys. So we have brought back the amazing George and he’s gonna run us through some sales and grails how you doing fellas, hey, hey, hey today, we’ve got in the way of sale. I’ve got that Kershaw I knew this agile, agile, agile. This thing was on sale for knife day and it’s still on sale and it is awesome.
Hinderer design Slim’s got that modular back spacer yeah and for 20 bucks. 20 bucks looks just like an ex m18 I know, wait! Whoops, that’s a good! Well, you can say it I guess: cuz I mean it’s designed by Rick. What is this beast George? This is this? Is the ckf crow car whoa? It’s it’s just big I mean it would make any si lot warrior proud. It’s got this fancy I, don’t know what kind of lock this is Giusti yeah, oh with your thumb, okay, how’s, that, like rebellious edge hanging out it’s Vince, that’s quite the grip elegance edge I like this wood, and how much does this go for 750 750? It’s definitely spendy, but it’s pretty awesome interesting! Alright! Now we can’t have you on and not ask what’s in your pocket.
So what are you carrying? No purist I’m going super tinkerer super teen care, alright guys, so we actually already know we actually knew. We had a super tinker on him. He has another pocket knife, but guys we’re talking specimen knife, so we’re gonna show you George is always carrying a super tinkerer I’m, always using it – there you go two edges one to junk around with yeah. I could go all day about that. Well, thanks for come on, hey thanks, fellows George.
Take it easy all right, guys, let’s jump back in to the table, and we are going to look at the ever impressive, the always amazing Victorinox compact. Now you guys have been along on the the wild ride. That has been me. Falling back in love with Swiss Army knives, and the compact has has been the thing that’s done for me: I have just loved this compact man, since we did the Swiss Army knife video that we did a few minutes ago back in the spring. This has not left my pocket, and this is actually my personal one.
It’s the one that I did all the food prep within the video that you saw and the most used tool on this, for me, is probably that screwdriver end yeah and I use it as a pry bar. So it’s saved a ton of knives tips as well. A well-rounded feature set on that I guess see why you carry it. It’s super slim. You know compared to the tinkerer yeah. It’s got to be like 25 percent, thinner, guys, yeah I, think it’s an awesome, carry and I’m not surprised to see it on the top five I love it I love it! It’s it’s not even my from my top five.
This is from you guys as well what you guys like to buy as well. So the compact is a super stellar one $43 99 for the compact and it’s got 13 tools. So if you’re gonna carry any of the knives on the table, that’s the one, that’s the one yeah and if you guys buy that one you’re, probably gonna, get in a collection connection in the future. Yes that’ll be like man, amazing taste. If I see that compact I’m- probably like you, know all right guys, the last one we’re gonna be talking about.
This is a cool piece. This is the Huntsman and I feel like with a name like the Huntsman you’re gonna get a little bit of an idea of what type of features you’re getting with this knife. You’re gonna get that awesome. Serrated saw $35 99. This is a bargain very similar to some of the other knives you’ve. Seen on the table, you’re gonna get a big feature set from these thicker Victorinox knives. I think that it’s really a good time to emphasize that if one of these knives doesn’t have the tools you want go to the website, we have a category built out with awesome, Victorinox, knives and you’re gonna find one that has the special mix of tools that you want, and the thing that’s crazy about it is.
There are knives so like with the compact, for example, the compact is made in another knife called the climber, and it’s just one feature different. So if you wanted to compact with let’s say a Phillips head, screwdriver right instead of a corkscrew boom, you got the climber. So there are some amazing options on the website to very out things like that. Yeah so I mean guys. I would really encourage you to take a look at our category, who spent a lot of time building that out to make it function really well for you, but you’ll find this beautiful, Huntsman very similar to the Tinker or the super tanker, but you’re getting corkscrew and a saw along with a lot of other beautiful tools, yeah and and I would say for me personally.
The Huntsman is probably as wide as I would go. Yeah like that in my pocket, I don’t think I’d carry daily either like for me personally, it’s a little too much knife, yeah yeah but I mean a few of those like contractor pants yeah, throw it in one of those pockets beside and you wouldn’t even notice they wouldn’t even notice or take it backpacking or hiking or zactly yeah, all right guys. Well, we’ve had a ton of fun going through the Swiss Army knives Andrew out of all the knives on the table, which one would you which one would you take home, which ones you carry the most I’ve I’d say which one that I carry a LOX cadet one.
What I use cuz it’s sitting on my desk right, super super ticker, I love, it great I’ve owned it for a great one and when what I originally was doing, research on these, like I, said like months ago, I almost grabbed a supertanker, but the compact is stolen, my heart, so you guys aren’t in my answer. But let us know down the comments. What do you guys carry? What are you using your Swiss Army knives for we’d love to hear you’ve gotten one of these taken away? Let us know I want to know, but that’d be great and tell us the story, and so there’s always a good story with get them taken away, all right, guys um.
So, as you know, with knife manner, now it is time for the collection connection. All right guys. Welcome to the collection connection. This is your corner, your space on knife, better, if you use hashtag bhq collection on Instagram, post pictures post, your collections post your adventure as we go through that hashtag every week, and we find things that speak to our heart. And today we have got a picture from our good buddy, slow, flips at slow flips on Instagram, and it’s just a nice little collection picture.
Man I think it yeah I think that a lot of people probably have collections. That start out. Looking a lot like this yeah I bet, I bet, epic snuggle, bunnies collection started out. Looking like that, yeah yeah I know he’s got a squiddy he’s got a bug-out he’s got a couple: Victorian oxes and a mora this guy, this guy’s rocking it he’s a real knife lover. You can tell that much love, slow, flips, I love, your collection guys, give him a follow. Yeah, that’s what it’s all about.
So it’s all about all right guys and now to end knife banner. We got to figure out what the heck we’re doing next time with the knives on the table. So we have brought Mitchell from he is he works kind of all over like he works in the warehouse he does some receiving. He works in the workshop I think workshop specialist. Doesn’t your official yeah he’s a workshop specialist he’s gonna spin, the wheel of indecision for us? So let’s see we’re doing master suite cut paper.
We haven’t done that one. Yet all right, so we’re gonna have to cook up something real special of that, because boy does that sound kind of boring? We have guys. Have we let you down yet let us know in the comments how you feel about these field tests. Have we let you down yet we always have a good time all right Mitchell. So since you’re here, what do you got your pockets? Nate I’ve got my native 5 in maximum my favorite yeah. If that knife kicked the crap out of it works all the time and then my bushcrafter barker, barbara crafter in 3 V, so, okay, yeah super killer creature for super steel.
Nice, no I always see you with a fixed blade on your hip. Is it usually your bark or you just kind of trade? I mean kind of trade I’m, just I like fixed blades, more than I like yeah, but yeah, but we’re gonna have to something ran through a collection, video, sometimes okay, good stuff. Awesome man! Well, thanks for coming on, appreciate, you’re, welcome and thank you guys for following along. It’s been a blast. Please consider, subscribing and hitting the notification.

Ah buck knives is a family business. We want to make sure everything we make. That’s exactly what people want. This is a family legacy. It really is a a giving back so to speak. My grandfather started buck knives, and so it’s definitely a family business. He was about 15 and then later on, he got married and he was pastoring a church in mountain home, idaho and when the hawaii got bombed there was a call that went out for the servicemen to get get some knives and stuff, and so he thought well.
I could do that. So in the basement of that church, he made two thousand knives out of old files. He got the handle material from the canopies of the warplanes that they had in the scrap out there and they were at the air base right next door, and so he used those for the handles and that’s how it got started. The foundation of manufacturing is people and its processes and its attention to detail. We talked a little bit about a family company families care that attention to detail is truly what happens when nobody’s looking and that attention to detail is what you’ll notice, when you’re out in the middle of nowhere- and you got to depend on a tool to get you out of there so from heat treat to the people actually manufacturing to assembly the fabrication of parts.
All of those elements combined, we just pay attention. We just pay attention so making sure that this company continues to function at the level of an american icon, it’s more than just products, it’s more than just messages. It is a a heartfelt desire to inspire confidence in people so that, if they’re out on an adventure, if they’re in the field in everyday life, they’ve got a trusted companion that they can depend on everywhere. We go. We hear stories from customers about how this knife saved their life or how I went through the war or came back home or whatever adventure they got through.
This knife has become part of them. It’s an extension of them, it’s very personal, and so, if you’re going to build something, that’s going to connect with somebody so much it better, be darn good! That’s the that’s! The bottom line of what of what buck nines is all about. You.
Hello and welcome everybody, we’re doing don’t mean this to be sexist I’m. We understand it can be male and female, and one thing I want to address real quick in my previous video about gentleman’s eyes. I talked about one situation, with a grandmother who was intimidated by one of my large tactical knives and I flipped.
It open to open some product to help her out to do some repairs. This is like whoa, that’s a big knife. What are you doing? You know and trying to like close it and try and explain the locking mechanism? Sometimes big tactical knives, just don’t fit it doesn’t matter what age you’re at and didn’t want to 0. That was just one experience.
I had trying to you know identify people who are knife, people versus not knife people, understanding there are lots of people out there who are older than I am who have been handling locking knives a lot longer than I have so um in this gentleman’s category of knives. I would definitely put this buck knife right here.
You can see it the knight right here, and this is a lovely knife, but it is locking. So you need to be aware of that, but I like it, because it’s not intimidating. It is just a really simple, humble knife, no one-handed open because it is locking I, don’t think this would be legal in certain places England for example.
But the finish on this to me is just so high quality, I love, it I love the blade, I love the handle. Here. Let me grab the old timer, and here it’s a little bit out of the way you can see a size difference here, very, not intimidating. So if you need it to open some product or open some packages- and you want to do it in a non intimidating way, pull this out of your pocket.
This would do great I find that this buck knife night fits in my it sticks out a little bit but fits nicely in my coin. Pockets in my jeans and you know, do I carry coins in there. No, never, but this sure fits nicely in there. I thought it introduced this. That’s one of my favorite little what I call this is a what I call him a gentleman’s knife.
Now this lacks one of the old-time look like Alzheimer’s have in that it does have a locking blade. I prefer a locking blade if I’m gonna be using the knife, but sometimes if I’m handing somebody a knife, I still would go with a non-locking blade, because it’s very easy for them to understand. What’s going on, and the other concern that I didn’t address in my other video is that the nice thing about a locking blade, even though sometimes people get confused by it and they’re trying to close the knife and they’re like oh, it’s broad, stuck.
No, it’s locked. You know then again, I, you feel at least I feel like an idiot. Try to explain. Oh, oh! Well, you have to push this down here and then I’m like trying to trying not to mansplain something, and then you can unfold it, but the nice thing about it is if somebody doesn’t know how to use a knife and they’re trying to stab something.
It’s not gonna close on their fingers and cut them. You see so it’s kind of a trade-off, but for me this is right up there in gentlemen’s knife, realm I love, it I love the finish on this. It’s just it’s, but it just makes such a good product and look at this I made in the USA knives and guns supporting the US economy.
Thank you guys. So much for watching. Tell me your thoughts about this little buck knife night here and what are your favorite knives that you might that you can imagine I would put in my gentleman’s category of pocket knife. Thank you so much for watching! Please subscribe. My name is Jon hobby.

Hey guys, I got this awesome pocket knife that I’d love to talk to you about couple days ago just came in, and I am so impressed by this pocket knife. I mean you can see the stainless steel right here and it is a beaut, and you also see the wood design right here, which is absolutely gorgeous so because of this stainless steel right here.
It um provides a very fine cut and it also helps the knife from corroding. So that is really awesome as well. Another cool thing about getting this product is that it comes with a sharpening block, which is perfect, because that way the knife won’t dull out, because you’re able to continue to sharpen it um.
This knife is uh able to be used for a lot of various activities and one of those activities might be hiking or surviving or whether you’re at work. You need a box cutter whatever that may be. Another great thing about this is that it’s a very safe knife. If you look right here, this is what allows you to press out and shut the knife right here, but once you bring all the way back, it locks right.
So I can’t press this knife, so it’s not going to come out suddenly and it’s not going to come back in suddenly and cut yourself. So that is perfect um. This knife is probably just over six inches about the size of my hand, right here, um again beautiful design, um and with the ability to have this sharpening knife.
I’ll show you just how easy it is. So I was taught to always go diagonal from one side to the other when sharpening your knife and then flip it over and do the same thing that way it sharpens from the base to the tip. So if I’m sharp sharpening it like this, I’m going to use it like that all right and if I want to flip it on the other side, do the same thing in that diagonal formation and again that stainless steel, you don’t see any markings on there.
Do you so again, very sharp knife and beautiful and um also comes with a little sack here too. So, if you want to give it as a present, it’s going to look um, nice and thoughtful when you package it up and give it to your uncle or your cousin or wherever that may be um. So I hope you guys, like this knife and um whatever you use this knife, for I know that will be great because of how great of quality this knife is so enjoy.
It.
