Is going to keep the weight of the boot down but these overlays with nu buck leather is going to add a lot of durability to the shoe it is gore-tex. Construction so you have complete. Waterproof protection and it has a gusseted tongue so that comes up most of. The way up to the top of the boot so you can be confident in rainy weather or. Just when the trails really wet stream. Crossings that sort of thing and you’re gonna be protected there. An important part is the toe cap so a really protective rubber toe cap it. Doesn’t weigh the boot down a lot but it adds a lot of protection on rocky and rugged terrain towards the back you have. A Solomon’s heel strap this gives a lot. Of durability to the boot but that as well. Helps to lock in your heel when you lace. Your boots down and just all throughout. The boot here you’ve got overlays in. Specific areas of the boot that’s gonna give it more durability there are a. Mixture of metal eyelets and fabric. Eyelets so you’ve got mostly metal eyelets here the eyelet in between. The kind of the forefoot of the shoe and. Up towards your heel but really helps you cinch that down and lock in your. Heel to the heel of the boot so you. Don’t have a lot of movement and a lot of rubbing cuts down on hotspots cuts down on blisters and the other thing is. They have a really economic tongue and a. Really padded tongue in the boot so when. You do need to cinch down your boots it’s not gonna feel super tight because you have that padding and you have that. Shaping on the tongue in the name you. Taken out you can put your own insoles in there but by itself this is a pretty. Nice insult compared to some of the ones I’ve seen in other backpacking boots so the porthole in soil definitely. Breathable wicks away sweat and like i said is. Removable if you want to use your own insulin as far as fit and feel trying. These boots on for the first time they definitely take a little bit of break-in time just to soften them up a little bit but they don’t take as much break-in time as you would expect in a full leather hard core back packing boot so. They feel great out of the box you can see you do have some give with these. Boots they’re not an ultra. Lightweight boot so like i said you do get that stability and that protection that you would expect in a back packing boot all in a pretty lightweight package. All in all with the contractor without. Job of giving you traction these out soles are going to really stick to the trail and something you’ll notice is a hinged heal this is going to really help. On braking as you’re going downhill and. It’s going to help on heel strike if we. Move up into the mid sole you have the adiprene foam cushioning when you’re. Moving fast on the trail this mid sole is. Going to really move you forward and give you good energy return the. Lightweight eba provides a lot of long-term cushioning. You can see places in the mid sole here that actually come up and wrap up into. The upper part of the shoe and that is. Nice for kind of cradling your foot so. If i were to peel away the upper part of. The shoe you would still be able to sink. Into that mid sole and it would actually cradle your foot really well so that’s going to be great when you’re moving fast on the trail when your feet might be moving around in the shoe it cradles your foot and it cuts down on hot spots and it’s really comfortable it as well. Offers a little bit more durability to the upper part of the shoe you’ve got a completely synthetic upper here, and they’ve got a bunch of different types of materials to give a lot of durability. To lighten up the shoe as well and it. Is vortex so you’re completely protected from water what i like about these. Overlays is the part of the shoe that is. Subject to more use and abuse the front. Here you have a really nice toe cap same thing on the heel we’ve got a durable material back here so that when you cinch down the laces your heel is really. Pushed into the back your skills not going anywhere in those shoes along the. Side here you do have a more durable material so as you cinch down those laces the parts of this shoe are a. Little bit more rigid and it’s going to cradle your foot even more so the. Midsole works really well with the outsole as you lace everything up you’ve. Got mostly fabric eyelets working your way up the shoe but the top two eyelets are metal, and they’re really durable so. That’s going to let you really cinch down the top i like the interior of the. Shoe here right at the top that’s the part where your ankle moves around a little bit and it’s a really soft cushioning material you’ve got a lot of breath ability so there’s mesh in there as well so i like the top of the boot. And then you do have a removable sock liner this sock liner is meant to. Just give a little bit more cushioning and to wick away any perspiration so you. Gonna surround your foot here so those shallow creek crossings mud. Rain and wet grass aren’t gonna be no. Match for this gore-tex liner your feet. Are gonna stay nice and dry again with that mesh it’s gonna be able to wick. Away the sweat from the inside of the shoe so gonna be comfortable inside. These shoes as well and then all the synthetic materials on this upper half. Overlays in those key areas that wear out quickly so you’ve got overlays back. Here you’ve got a nice heel counter it’s. Gonna keep your heel in the right spot. If you’re going uphill downhill your heel is really going to be locked in and then you have those speed laces here so. You can really cinch down those laces and lock in your heel as well. Fabric eyelets here and then you do have a more durable eyelet right here at the top the great thing about these speed. Laces is while you know that that cord. Is very lightweight it’s also very durable so you just have to cinch them down and there’s even a lace bungee down. Here where you can secure those so those. Extra part of the laces that’s not going. To go anywhere so that’s a really nice design and then moving here to the front of the shoe along with the heel counter in the back you’ve got a nice toe. Counter so rocks sticks anything like. That your toes are going to be protected. You do have a removable sock liner. This adds a little bit of cushioning and it also wicks away sweat but if you do. Have your own insoles or your own orthotics these are easily removable moving down. To the mid sole here you have the adiprene mid sole which gives you. Lightweight support but it also gives. Amazon shopper steve here today and i want to briefly go over the sadita tara swift our mid gtx hiking boot guys. I’ve done several reviews on hiking boots over the last couple of years including some very big name hiking. Boots Solomon and keen and timberlands. And there’s several that i have on amazon the guys that wear hiking boots pretty much every day i wear a heavier. Well-built hiking boot for work i walk. Ten to twelve miles at the post office every day six days a week and i needed a really nice heavy-duty boot that was going to last me so i went with a. Different brand on that one and absolutely love them outside of work i also like to wear a. Hiking boot i do a lot of stuff we do a lot of rain shooting and stuff like that i just like hiking boots to wear good ankle support lightweight almost tennis shoe kind of style hiking. Boots and i had some bought some Solomon’s and paid a lot of money for him guys and had a crack right here. In the bend of the toe within about three weeks of purchasing i had a hard. Seventy bucks i was not impressed with that they worked with me they sent me. Another pair of boots and within three weeks i had the same crack on both sides. So definitely not going back with that company i kept looking at this boot online i had this my wish list for a. Long time the boot looks almost identical to the other boot and the. Quick lace system that’s on there that Adidas has on this one was on there and. And i finally just took chance and got. Then now these are a little over a month old now and I’ve warm. Every single day for that four month and. I just want to go in here and just give you a little bit of a kind of show you. What they look like and how they’re lasting me right now usually i won’t. Do a boot review unless something goes wrong pretty quick or I’ve had them for. A long time so i can show you the wear and tear but this is a month old and i did just want to get them on camera here for you real quick to show you what you’re going to get if you do decide this is the boot for you like i said really nice lightweight boot super. Comfortable right out of the box guys good arch support in these as well the. Fitting was dead-on i wear a ten and a half and every single boot I’ve ever ordered a ten and a half wide addy and so that’s what i ordered. And that’s what i got they fit perfect guys i know it’s a little tricky buying. Boots online unless you can find this boot in a store and you can go try it on and then come back home and order it online which I’ve done in the past you know amazon’s a beat the prices of local. Shoe stores, and they’ll have the boot and I’ll go try it on just to make sure it fits and then I’ll come home and order it but i haven’t even seen these. Boots in the stores so i was pretty impressed when i got them and i just want to show them to you that’s about a month’s worth of wear have good tread on. Then good thick nice tread on here. Like i said comfortable and lightweight and the quickly system on here guys a. Little bit different than the other ones i have this eyelet over here is completely solid the shoe string doesn’t come out what you do is once you get it on as you take that one and you loop it. Over the other ones open and then you. Just cinch this down and then right down here in the toe you have a little strap but you can pick up and put that under and that keeps that tugged away just. Like that so you have a nice clean line this big thing you’re just flopping around everywhere you just tuck it rights down in their then you get it off you just simply pull. Down like that the little button right there as you release it with so pretty. Awesome little quick lay system i did just want touch on the gore-tex a little bit guys uh it’s a wording issue with me. Gore-tex and saying something is waterproof guys not waterproof its water resistant. If the gore-tex is any good in the shoes. It will hold out water as long as you’re not standing in water over a long period. Of time waterproof to me would be something i could stand in water over a. Long period of time and it’s not going to get my feet wet so it’s not waterproof its water resistance that’s how gore-tex works i just have an issue with the way they throw that word around so easily but the gore-tex and these. Shoes have been great i went to the. Range several times in these boots and it’s wet and mucky out there and walking through grass and some fields and stuff my feet stay dry guys now common sense. Tells me in a state don’t stand in puddles so you know that’s that’s gore-tex you can’t stand in a puddle. And expect the water to eventually not start getting in so just kind of bear that in mind guys he got the gore-tex works as advertised and it’s just that. Word waterproof it’s water-resistant so definitely a five star review for me on. These boots everything has there they’re performing well for me and if anything changes during my use of these boots i will update my review and let you guys know but as of right now a. System so that makes it really simple and quick to lace these boots up get them nice and tight and be on your way and also really simple and easy to. Loosen as well so really durable speed. They are they’re cut pretty. Narrow and i have a very wide foot so i. Am I finding them to be a little bit pinchy right here at the widest point. And i also found the sizing to be like. Totally out of whack with most other shoe companies for example i usually wear a 39 and that would equate too about. An eighth or an eight and a half these are a seven and a half us, but they are a. 39 and a third european so i got the 39. 1/3 thinking that would fit me i usually wear a 39 and i don’t mind having a little extra room for my toes but my big toe on my big foot only comes. Up to right here so I’m not really. Getting to take advantage of the little rubbery end of the toe and when i. Have been climbing in them they my feet. To sort of slide forward and backward a little bit i also found the back gave me. A fair bit of pressure when i was taking in them it’s not really their intended use so do. Take that with a grain of salt also i think there’s extra pressure because the soul is quite stiff and it’s intended. To be that way of course so that you can edge and smear and you know really make.
