This is Salomon XA Pro 3-d. I've been wearing these for a few months. Now I've taken them on multiple trips and put a lot of miles on them and again.I am just completely impressed with the durability and quality that shoes and boots continue to put out. They have the same well-built construction as my 4d. XA is a little bit lower cut so it's more like a shoe. A lot of people you know trail run with these I don't necessarily run on the trails but I do walk a lot of trails hike. A lot of trails now. A lot of people when they're looking for a trail running shoe or a lower cut boot such as this.

They will go with something that is very breathable because the thinking there is that. If you do get wet and you continue to walk on your feet will dry out over time. Now that may be true for some areas or for some applications. Maybe if you're going on a really long through hike or something like that where you're not stopping you're not camping that may be great. But I do a lot of just shorter hikes and I do a lot of camping. So I wanted something that had the gore-tex protection. And I was willing to sacrifice a little bit of that breathability for the all-over protection now just like my 4d 2's the Higher Boots.

These didn't let me down. When it came to the gore-tex either I was able to step in puddles, walk through shallow riverbeds, and shallow streams. And my feet did not get wet at all. I went on a two-day overnight in Ohio. It rained the entire time. All our gear was soaked. My pants were completely soaked. Raincoat was completely soaked through it but my feet were dry so breathability aside.

These again are very well-constructed. They don't offer as much ankle support but I was very impressed with the amount that you get out of a low-cut shoe like this I did walk up and. Down several pretty steep incline hills again it was raining and muddy when I did so and the state on my feet. I felt like I had adequate protection. Now they did slip a little bit more than the 40s. They don't have quite the deep quite as deep traction on the bottom but again for a shoe that's built to be lightweight a trail running shoe.

We're taking a look at the men's and women's Bushido Trail Running shoe by La Sportiva.

This is a fully featured lightweight trail shoe that I can see. Being great for someone who's hiking or just fast backpacking with more of a minimal mindset. It's not a minimalist shoe by any means but La Sportiva has put some features on this trail shoe that makes it really stable for how lightweight it is.

The most interesting feature about this shoe is a TPU frame. That kind of starts here on the upper part of the shoe and connects to the midsole seamlessly. It actually wraps around the bottom of the shoe and around the other side. So that gives a lot of stability in the shoe and just makes a really dialed in fit as well.

The rest of the upper part of the shoe is basically a really lightweight mesh. Now it's one of the first things that struck me about this shoe is that the mesh is really flexible. It's really comfortable, and they have even put some overlays on the shoe in key areas where you do need a little bit more durability on the heel you know. Here on the toe, there's a really nice toe cap. You know on the front of the shoe to protect against rocks and that sort of. Think but right above your toe area you. Now if you're moving fast if you're running it's going to breathe really well should the shoe become wet it's going to dry out really fast

Taking a look at the tongue you have a nicely padded tongue here so if you do need to cinch down those laces it's comfortable. Against your foot and just really soft the material inside the shoe I mentioned. The laces you have sort of asymmetrical design on the laces so you. No fit your foot anatomically and you can really dial in the fit.

The outsole of this shoe has really aggressive lugs, and they actually come up they're rounded they come up into even the midsole of the shoe so against mud against loose gravel. You're really going to have a lot of traction starting at the bottom. You can really see that La Sportiva is impact the brake system is you know something that's really going to give you a lot of traction on ascending and descending you know when. You need that extra traction but all in. All this shoe has an excellent balance of weight and stability. It's going to give you a lot of confidence on the trail on your next trail running adventure it's the men's and women's Bushido trail running shoe by La Sportiva.

Hey guys this is Alistair from trend care once again thanks for joining me on. This next review which is of the last. Boat eva Bushido — now if you've been following the blog you've probably seen I've already done a full review of this shoe and it rated really highly well i rated. It really high v it's about i think it was nine point two out of ten on that. This is my first la sportive trail. Running shoe that I've ever worn and my. First impressions using it were amazing and it's currently my go-to trail and. I'm sure so firstly it's a very. Comfortable shoe fits very smugly if you. Are buying this in the uk then sizing is. Very accurate but if you're in the u.s. then i would advise you size up by about. Half size the shoes got excellent. Cushioning in the mid sole and the upper. Is also it's got a little bit of stretch. In there and feels very comfortable. Flexibility of assumed also very good. Flexing more towards the forefoot rather. Than complete flex which is good i think. That's its kind of what you want on a. Trail running shoes you don't want to be completely flexible you need a bit of stability there and whilst I'm talking. About stability this shoe is extremely. Responsive the tread on the bottom is. Very aggressive you can see there should. Focus yeah excuse the dirty shoe by the. Way I've been wearing this a lot lately so yet the traction on this shoe i can. Confirm that it's also excellent in wet. Conditions as well as dry conditions and over buffed trails and technical trails. So I've got full confidence in the tread. And the grip of the issue I'm also if you can. See in here there is an internal sock. Inside here so it's very comfortable. Slips on very nicely it's not a complete. Wraparound sock like you will see on my. Review of the last 40 the captive. But it is excellent what else have we. Got so toe boxes of medium width there's a. Finger loop at the back for slipping the. Shoe one laces really good length so. There's no excess laces once that done. And overall for performance of this shoe it's its extremely good. So la sportive is relatively new brand. To me and my experiences with it so far. Have been excellent so i can't recommend this shoot enough so I'll put a link down below of the full review on trin. And cal go have a look at that because I've added lots of extra pictures and. Concluded oh and also some people have been asking me what the shoe is like over long distances so i haven't gone. Crazy distances with it yet but seeing. Hello it's jonathan wyatt here and I'm a. Product developer working for la sportive and here today we have one of. Our highlights arriving in spring/summer. 2019 and it's the Bushido 2 so as the. Name suggests it's an update of the already very popular Bushido and of. Course when you're updating an existing product you want to keep all the best points of that existing product but add in some new features that where we know. People are going to appreciate so the. Bushido is a well-known shoe for having very good stability being a very good shoe over technical and mountain and. Difficult terrain so we've kept that. Idea with the stability so you have a very good foothold on the shoe so. You can see the laces come all the way down to a low point on the shoe to give. You a really good a really good way of. Controlling the tightness of the. Shoe on the foot what we've done with the Bushido 2 is we've cleaned up the outside of the shoe we have a more streamlined finish, and we have less. Pieces with stitching that could give. You any points of difficulty or. Discomfort in the shoe the biggest. Change that we know you're going to feel in the shoe is we've added some comfort with the cushy dough too, so we've added. A small layer of comfort material that. When you're running in the shoe you're going to feel a nice comfortable and. Cushioned feeling in the shoe so we know. That this Bushido to update is going to be a great shoe for medium and long. Distance trail running and it's a premium shoe we have been trail running from la sportive and now let's talk. About the outsole on the Bushido too so. You can see we have a two color compound. Here on the outsole of the shoe, so we have our most high-performing sticky rubber on the red part of the shoe and then on the yellow part of the. Shoe we are ever more abrasion resistant material to give you a longer life on the shoe so it's a it's a nice compromise between the best grip and in a long-lasting. Performance.

So in the Ghost Eleven the key technologies are the DNA left so it's our bio mogo DNA material. We have also now added more air to make it softer, and we've mixed in polyurethane as well to give you a little bit more about part of the shoe.

There is an engineered match so it's just really nice lightweight breathable dissipating the outsole. So you've got carbon rubber back at the heel. It's really hard wearing and you've got some blowing other at the boy face so you get a really nice soft toe-off.

Also, on the floor we have this little spot here. There actually isn't rubber and so that's actually purposely done, so we call it a flush transition zone. They're just really smooths out that yields a tear transition the ghost 11 is suitable. Really any runner so I mean it can be your person who's just starting couch to 5k so you're well-experienced nursing style runner. So it's quite a versatile one. Just really cushions there anybody looking for that supersoft plush experience that's going to be with.

This is the outdoor research women's Helium Hybrid Hooded jacket.

This is for an ounce-counting backpacker who needs protection from wind and rain but doesn't want to lose breathability. This hybrid design gives you stretch and venting where you need it most and has waterproof materials throughout to give you the best of both worlds.

Ynder your arms and down the side excess body heat is dumped through this panel. This is an area of the jacket that's protected by your arms and body. So it's less critical that waterproof materials need to be here. Keep in mind that this part of the jacket is not waterproof so it might not be for everyone.

The main body is made of 100% waterproof and seam taped 30 deniers pertex shield fabric. This is an ultra light and packable material. There's a storm flap in front of and behind the front as if err and the two hand level pockets have a storm flap. As well the jacket packs down and stuffs into one of these pockets. Now the chest pocket has an aqua guard watertight zipper and is perfect for something small like a lip balm. The cuffs are stretchy and the lightweight drawcord and the hem seals out drafts.

The hood is adjustable and the stiffened brim keeps rainwater off your face. This is a trim fit so if you're typically in between sizes I would size up. I'm wearing a small right now and it fits but I would probably size them to a medium. Just have a little bit more room. It's the women's outdoor research Helium Hybrid Hooded jacket.

What's up everybody so today we have the. New balance fresh foam beacon this shoe. Really impressed me I've never been much. Of a new balance fan but the lightweight. And flexible mid sole really. Really impressed me product specs all. Right so this is a six millimeter drop. Shoe 26 millimeters in the heel and 20. Millimeters in the forefoot definitely a. Shoe i would use for my everyday easy. Runs some people might prefer it as kind. Of a tempo shoe i feel it's a little too flexible as a race day shoot for myself but others might enjoy that as a soft. Cushioned marathon workout type shoe where it's got the protection but still. Very lightweight so since i love this shoe so much I'll start with the cons. Ankle collar this can be a pro or con. Personally i thought it was a little. Soft around the ankle which with the. Tongue moving around in your ankle right. Around the collar it just seemed that it didn't offer a. Lot of support for me it wasn't an issue but i could see it being a problem if you're looking for a little bit more support in issue durability. As you can see it's got a lot of exposed. Foam here personally I'm okay with giving up a little bit of the rubber in. The outsole they've got a little here in. The forefoot they've got a little here in the heel and I'm alright with giving. Up a little bit of durability if it means a lighter more comfortable softer. Flexible pliable shoe so it's all personal preference here and for me this you really hit it home now for the pros. Great breath ability very soft very. Comfortable could not go for a better. Feeling upper material liability this. Shoe really capitalizes on the ability. To move with your foot as opposed to dictating the direction your foots gonna move i really liked the way it felt. Smooth and efficient under my foot lastly weight this is a reason i. Purchased this shoe i really wanted to. See the amount of cushioning it could offer at just seven point five ounces and the size nine for men's just over 8. Ounces for me and a size 10.5 very. Impressed with the amount of cushioning and protection i felt under my foot while feeling like i had nothing under. My foot at all so very lightweight very. Efficient very suck like very. Comfortable ride very recommended love. It new balance fresh foam beacon very impressed i purchased this pair up at. Hi I'm thomas i believe in the run and today we are talking about the new balance beacon so this is a pretty. Simple shoe so hopefully this will be a pretty simple review and then I'll talk a little bit about how i liked running in it you have a pretty simple mesh upper and inside it has a pretty simple. Tongue that is hiding a little secret because that's where the booty feel comes in it's an attached tongue that goes over both sides of your foot as the tongue comes in up towards here inside the shoe. You have two areas that are locking your foot down nicely into the shoe keeps it. From feeling too sloppy simple flat lacing a lot of shoes are coming out now with a flatter lace i really like flatter laces i think they tie and stay tied better, and they just feel right on my foot and locking down my foot no problems with the heel counter here it's not even that highly padded so you know they've done a good job of fitting it for this shoe and the upper no problems true to size ran great fries well no. Issues at all as far as the insert it's got a pretty thin insert as you can see not much pushing in there if you wanted to make this shoe a little softer you could always add in your own insert so coming down to the mid sole you have one piece of fresh foam to give you all the cushioning you need this is actually where i wish fresh foam had always been it's a very nice mid sole it feels nice. And cushioned under your foot but still responsive you don't feel like it dies in a marshmallowy feel and the shoe kind of reminds me if i had to say the closest shoe to this shoe for me would. Be the sketchers ride 7 so if you like. The ride 7 or you're interested in a shoe that feels light and cushioned without feeling too squishy you may want to try the new balance beacon outsole. People are worried about exposed eba that's gonna wear down i have over 20 miles in these you can see there's barely any wear on it there's some dirt but not a lot of wear and you have some strategic places for high abrasion rubber to add into that durability the. New balance fresh foam beacon waisting. 8.3 5 ounces for my size 10 and a half. Which is 237 grams simple light shoe has a 6 millimeter. Drop and runs true to size no problem with fitting here this is a fun shoe to. Run in its responsive the fresh foam has got enough that your legs don't get beat up but it doesn't feel like a marshmallow so overall this is a really simple shoe knit it looks good it runs well one of. The only things it's difficult to do with this shoe is categorize it kind of could be used for racing it could be. Used for long runs it could be used for short runs it's really going to depend on your preference on this shoe feel like a lightweight cushion responsive shoe then you're really gonna like the beacon this one is one of the top 10 shoes that we've tried this year i really like it hits all my marks lightweight simple fun to run and. Cushioned can go any distance you want and because of the lightweight feel and the responsiveness you can also use this. One for speed work this is one of those shoes that takes care of all of your. There's something about the shoe that i think is going to be awesome and i don't even know if awesomeness this is where i work for it but it's an awesome shoe really looking forward to sharing with you today about this new shoes new concept shoe by new. Balance and i have to take a line at a. Dumb and dumberer at least part of it new balance you've. Totally redeemed yourself i used to play. A lot of tennis years ago was always the. New balance fan and a user and just then. I found like new balance shoes were just too firm and so when i even went to the. Store after got the email i went to the. New balance store here in atlanta which they're great really appreciate all. Their help i even tried the 1080s on and these are so much more comfortable to walk around in so if you are looking for a really. Comfortable shoe that has to me i think. Is stylish as well price is right then you definitely want to get the beacon. The foam beacon shoe it's the new. Balance fresh phone beacon shoe so as. You can see I'm almost losing my words because I'm so excited about the shoe for the men it comes in three colors this is petrol comes in a black color. And also like a royal blue i love the. Upper knit material for this so. Breathable they've really done a great job it seems like the knit is the thing and i think that's so great because nothing's worse and having shoes that. Are just so hot on your feet so new. Balance just awesome so let's dive in i. Did get a twelve and a half tewi so i had to go up a size and so. That's what i would suggest as well i will put a link where you'd get more information on both the men's version and the woman's version as well not sure the colors for the women's version retail msrp is one 1995 so i think price point. — they're not crazy expensive as. Compared to those $150 shoes many you. Known for the real high-end and i think. You know you're probably the one again getting more than one color as you really love these shoes because you can. Just switch off depending upon what. You're wearing and how you want to and just you know changing up the shoes to. Mix up also for when you're running and walking so i did try the shoes and the. Gym on the treadmill I'm starting to run a little bit i didn't run an extended period of time but i look forward to sharing that experience with you so as. Far as weight wise mine's at 12 and a. Half 2 e and nine ounces it almost. Doesn't even feel like 9 ounces on my. Feet so these are the insoles by the way and it's kind of like got a rubberized. Material on the bottom but i put in the. I have these new balance like sports insoles, and they really work even better. And just make the whole experience great one-two punch if i could find a link to these i will, but they also offer some. Arch support and it just makes my feet. Feel happy so let's dive in a little bit. And just talk to some highlights of the shoe so for the men's new balance fresh. Phone beacon signify winning style in. Your men's new balance fresh foam beacon. Raise your cushion game with already legendary fresh foam cushion smoothing. The way from point-to-point all day stay. In command of cool — with circular knit. Mesh top keeping air flow seize the day. In your fresh foam beacon so as far as. The mesh it was very breathable wearing. Then all day my feet are not feeling. Very hot really if at all and they just. Feel so good with that top mesh now as. Far as the bottom it does use these. Different rubberized lugs on the outside. Which ensures durability at high. Areas during your strike and tow off so. You can see here these five different. Spots they find these are the points to. Where they should be and then this is a very nice soft material you could see. The flexibility on these to just i love. These shoe is fantastic as far as the. Soft collar construction contributes to a comfortable snug fit around the heel. And the drop is a six millimeter drop i. Did find the tongue to be comfortable to. Wear as well it's got a very soft inside material not too thick it is padded. Around the back of the shoe for comfort. And even with a low-cut sock it was very. Comfortable on my feet the shoelace is a. Stretch shoelace and they stay well as. Far as reflective material you've got reflective material at the end the fresh. Foam back here on the end here and then. On the tongue so you get it all the way. Around so all in all i just have to say. This is a fantastic shoe when running on. The treadmill at the gym it just felt. Like i was running on clouds and as I'm. Stepping it's just a nice balance and just rebounding and just feeling so. Good then i went on the stairmaster at. The gym and felt great there as well and. Then wearing them all day at work standing my feet faintly. Fantastic a real test too was walking. Through costco on the hard cement floor. And i was just so comfortable so new. Balance really did a good or a great job. And if you are comparing these again to. The 1080s these to me are much more. Comfortable so there might be other aspects of the 1080s i don't really have. Much experience other than just i try them on so but you could you know certainly read more into the 1080s but i. Just love these beacon shoes and. Amazing job by new balance and hopefully. As they build the additional versions they will make sure to keep the shoe very comfortable on. Your feet because they did a fantastic job and i think this is long overdue new. Balance has come out with a comfortable. Shoe like this and i look forward to. Great workouts and even when I'm mad about just casually whether I'm wearing. My shorts my jeans my headwear my. Camping pants i look styling and I'll. This is the Metal Vapor Glove - and it's a lightweight minimalist road running shoe. I think it really enhances a run but offering you great ground perception and if you keep watching. What I'm going to do is just go over the sheer a little bit and talk about what I like and what I don't like so much so let's just have a quick look at the construction of the shoe to start with.

We'll start from the top we've got a lightweight mesh mostly all the way. Around the top with a little bit of P. There but 40 tpu around the side just to enhance the heel sling. They're got making a lacing system there with fabric. Eye loops at the back of the shoe. We also have a little heel loop just to help getting shoes on and off or potentially used to hang them up for any reason.

On the bottom we've got Vibram sole and lugs. For these are about two millimeters deep and quite closely spaced together as you can see. The like I said earlier there is a minimalist shoe and the overall stack. Height of this shoe is about five point five millimeters. This shoe we have a zero millimeter drop from the heel to the toe and zero millimeters of cushioning if I remember rightly one of these shoes.

Weighs about 169 grams and in terms of a fit I found. The feet quite narrow around there the head area which i like and. It's a little bit it's in comparison. It's quite broad before but that's something that you'd expect out of a lot with issues days. You can also see how their the soul is extended. Just over the front of the shoe there. Just to give you a bit of extra traction and a bit of extra protection for your toes.

Other points to make the inside of the shoe is coated with that and select fresh technology which means. It should limit the how much the shoe smells. By slowing down the growth of bacteria in the shoe meaning that it it could be used without a sock or with a sock.

Another the other point to make is that it is a vegan-friendly shoe so that means other materials or the glue. In particular no animals have been used to make the shoe. So like I said in instruction. This is a minimalist shoe and in this case. It means is absolutely no cushioning in this year. It does mean that I think you have to embrace a slightly different running form than. A lot of people might be used to so to help with this mail do include a little leaflet just with three key points in really and it cooley's ABC.

The first one is to align your posture so be volunteer foot landing there. Just noting that year with these shoes. They recommend landing flat against the ground as opposed to heel striking and see that you're talking about counting your cadence they're working. They're recommending running about 180 steps per minute which again is actually quite a lot more than most people would run out. So I've had these shoes about four months. Now I've done about 400 miles and then due to my quiz some quick calculations I've run quite a few distances. I've run anywhere between 5 miles 13-14 miles in them quite easily. And that's been on a mixture of tarmac. And even some hype at trailer.

As well so the first thing that I really like about issues is just how flexible and lightweight they are. They really weigh nothing. There's no resistance at all that for your firm which some people would see is a bad thing. I see is a good thing and I quite like that which is wild drawn to the shoe. What I find is when I'm running in these shoes I really feel that my foots allowed or allowing itself to move and function. How it feels comfortable and that works really well for me. It so the shoe being so lightweight and so flexible. It's a real positive to me.

The second thing I like about these shoes and it's the sole that I think of made a really clever move going to buy broom find and do. Some fantastic soul compounds and designs.

It is like I mentioned at the beginning is a minimalist shoe so what you tend to get is quite narrow heel area and quite broad forefoot area. The forth of the heel. I think the fit of them is absolutely fantastic. The heel really feels secure around your foot. The forefoot really feels nice and nice, and open. Your toes can really splay the point that I think is the mid fur and you can almost see where the glue is on both sides is around.

The mid fur it's not the back of the front and I think it's just a little bit too wide in the mid-foot fit and that causes. That's caused me to put a little bit tighter in the midfoot on the laces and then that's causing that little bit of extra pressure just there.

I think they'll be worth a try if you are quite keen runner and you're looking at strengthening your yeet in any way. I think a pair of these boot up to five mile runs. Even sprint's I think that could be great because they really do allow you. They really do work your feet in a different way that your traditional running shoes might not be used to.

Hey guys welcome back in this video I'll. Be unboxing and trying on the vapor. Glove 3 by merrill. Okay that's a nice little guide to. Starting barefoot the shoes look pretty. Spectacular i mean vibram sole very. Lightweight fabric it arrived pre laced. Which some people may like some people. Don't i appreciate it okays very thin tongue. Shrim li thin but with a nice cushion. Now for the flex test not as flexible as. Maybe the vibram five fingers. But that's because of the articulation of the toes. I like the toe cap in the front this is. Very well-designed a little bit of the. Plastic that ice i have seen on the vivo. Barefoot primus lights which provides. For more stability and protection of the. Shoe less roll out a roll from this very. Soft fabric seems to have been well. Glued around the edge of the sole. Well immediately i can tell you that. These are very well-made shoes well. Constructed it has all the pain points covered not much lateral play on the. Foot so let's talk about the fit of the. Shoe the shoe has a wide enough toe box. For my feet they aren't the widest toe. Box but they aren't narrow by any means as you can see here okay so you get a. Lot of wiggle room in your toes as well. With the sizing is true to my. Size these are 11 and a half they fit. Well they fit even better with socks on so yes with that i would say that whatever shoe that you we're currently in conventional shoes you can buy the exact same size in these shoes we're. Gonna take it outside but first let's do. Some lunges let's do some squats let's see how they hold up in the gym the. Weighted lunge is a perfect exercise to. Test the stability in the field of shoes. Felt very stable i wasn't a wobbling in. The shoe had great lateral. Support and i appreciate that these shoes are turning out to be a phenomenal pair of shoes okay now that. We've given it a little trial in the gym let's take it outside and let's see how it performs on the road okay so i just. Took a run around the building not even. 400 meters and i have to say that i was. Pleased with the performance of the shoe yes it's definitely not a long run it's. Not four miles that would probably give me a better understanding of how the shoe feels but. At first glance or our first feeling for that short run i would say that they're exceptionally made I've worn these for. About a week so far and i found that. They are pretty impressive in a variety. Of exercises where their weight training. Running just overall agility movements i. Found them to be of great quality in. Construction and design a lot of nice. Features on the vibram sole actually. Creates has a toe cap which prevents you. From basically hitting your toe on many items or by a jump rope i found that the. Tongue was cushioned and when doing long.
