We're taking a look at the therm-a-rest pro light plus self inflating sleeping. Pad this is a lightweight and warm self. Inflating pad that offers a lot of comfort and convenience for colder. Weather adventures ski touring or just all-around backpacking let's take a look at its construction some of the materials and some of its features this. Pad is constructed with a 50 d mini hex. Tiptop nylon material on the top side. So it is a very durable but still lightweight material it's also a lot. Softer than some of those super ultra light fabrics so it's going to be a nice quiet pad for when you're sleeping at night on the bottom we have a 50 d. Polyester material so again very soft kind of brushed material they're still. Very durable and pack able on the inside. Of the pad we've got a patent-pending diagonal cut urethane foam it's a really. Thick foam material and there are a lot. Of little pores in that foam you can see them it's actually these raised bumps here that are going to cut down on the weight and allow for a lot of insulation in that foam it also reduces the pack. Size so you can fold this thing up roll it up stuff it into the included stuff. Sack and pack it away for your trip so it's a really convenient blend of materials that make a very lightweight but still very warm pad the thickness is. One and a half inches so it is fairly. Plush in the thickness of the pad that foam is a very comfortable foam and it's. Easy to inflate all you have to do is open the nozzle at the top of the pad to. Get that inflated and the foam essentially sucks in the air and self inflates you certainly might want to top. It off with a few extra breaths just to get your own personalized level of comfort but it is a self-inflating. Mattress so you really don't have to if you don't want to the weight of this pad. Is just around one pound six ounces and. The dimensions are 20 inches wide by 72. Inches long does taper a little bit at the bottom so it won't be that full 20. Inches the whole way down i will mention I'm looking at the regular size here this pad does come in other sizes small. And large so the specs the weights and. The dimensions will change with those pads you can check those out right on our product page so for compressible warmth and convenience while backpacking camping. Ski touring or virtually any adventure. The therm-a-rest pro lite plus self. Inflating sleeping pad is a convenient. Option for your adventures.

Hi this is becca I'm tyler they were. Ripped off for two so today we're going to talk about our therm-a-rest neoair x-lite sleeping pads so this is actually. A pretty fairly recent purchase that. We've had for the upcoming backpacking season, so we have not used this yet in our backpacking adventures but in the. Past we've gone with various inflatable. Pads but we've had a mummy style sleeping bag and more recently we've. Switched over to quilts and so for that. Reason that god is kind of thinking about other options for sleeping pads, and so we came across this therm-a-rest. Neo air x-lite and obviously there are pros and cons to it, so we'll go ahead and blow these up so you can see it, and then we'll talk about what some of those are. All right so we'll go ahead and talk. About each of these we each chose to get. A different version mine is the short version it's lighter it's the lightest. Of them but i typically bring a sip pad. Along with me also it's using my wrap which is this little neo eric pad so. I'll typically um you know use a 3/4. Length pad and then use my pad for my wrapped down at my foot end to have that. Support there so i thought if i have. This already it may as well make use of it and i got the shorter length pad so. This is a total of 8 ounces for this. Short pad and it has an r-value of 3.2. And so you know that obviously is a. Benefit to when using quilts you don't. Have anything under you we thought you know getting warmer pads beneath us would help out a lot and i chose to go with the women's pad. It's lighter than the regular men's pad. It's one ounce lighter so it's 11 ounces and the regular men's pad comes in. To 12 ounces they also have an r value of 3.9 so it's really warm and I'm a. Cold sleeper so i really like that factor about it and a couple things that. I don't like is this actually takes a really long time to blow up unless you have some kind of inflation device which. I think there were ourselves but it wasn't worth it to us um also the thing. That i don't like it but it's really creepily so every time you move you're making lots of noise and supposedly. That's supposed to go away over time, but we haven't seen that go away yet so those are my cons but overall i. Really like this pad it's really comfortable it has four inches of. Inflation so it brings you pretty high. Up off the ground and like i said it was really warm so yeah so just to kind of compare the women's is a little bit. Shorter than the regular length men's cut also so that was one reason and the. One thing one difference between the women's and the men's regular is that the women's pad is a little bit wider but it is shorter and overall it is slightly. Less heavy but I'm just looking at it. Here this short version one even then. The women's version is quite a bit shorter so it no really just depends. What they have they also have they have. A small the regular and then a long size and then obviously the women's specific one which becca said has the higher. R-value because women tend to sleep a. Little bit colder, but we're very excited for these, so we think it's going to be a good addition to our sleep system especially using quilts having that higher r-value. You.

Hi thanks for joining me today I'm reviewing the therm-a-rest pro light mattress this is an inflatable mattress. And this is about how big it is there. This is how big it is when it's packed up and the advantage of an air mattress. Over a foam pad is that is one of the. Main things as the size is that you can compact it this size and so therefore. This is my choice sleeping pad when. Traveling getting on airplanes and. Traveling internationally you know it fits into my backpack i don't have to strap to the outside like i would with a foam pad so I'll tell you so they call. This a self-inflating mattress which. Means that as you know when you open it. Up it has like a foam element to it on. The inside foam layer and so that kind. Of expands itself and you know it fills. With air some of the way and then you just have to add a couple breaths so graaff about one thing you can see is. That it's a bright orange color for some reason they make most of these air. Mattresses and these really bright colors some people don't care i don't really like it i prefer having natural colors blend in a little bit more anyway. See you open it up and then if you need to just add a few breaths at the end or. You can just you know assist it from the beginning if you're impatient so it's a. Little bit a more little bit heavier. Slightly heavier than a foam pad a foam. Mattress and it's also significantly more expensive foam mattresses are typically like can be like 40 bucks this. Can be like a hundred 130 bucks. For something like this. Something to keep in mind is if you're traveling with a an air mattress you. Have to take a patch kit with. You because it will pop you like you'll. Poke it on things on. Horns and such and it will definitely pop so basically you need to have what i. Use what I've travel with this i have one of those little it's like a little. Square plastic thing it's called park tools they make glueless patches for. Bicycle inner tubes and therm-a-rest has. Their own kit, but they're like very large patches i prefer those small ones. It's super compact and it's very lightweight and it does the job it's the same thing basically or you could use a mini roll of duct tape but you have to take something with another thing that. I'm not sure entirely sure about having you know this is the second one of these that i owns and the last one i did a lot of international traveling with and therefore had to patch it a lot as well the one thing i noticed that was. Different on the newer model is that the bottom seems to be like a kind of. Different material the last one was very abrasive and very tough feeling so and. This one feels a little bit thinner and smoother so that might even make it more prone to punctures but you know just. Something to keep in mind i don't know yet personally but anyway all of them. They're gonna pop anyway it's like i. Said it's a great product this is what i take oh that was one other thing i. Wanted to tell you so there are others. Air mattresses this is like i said a. Self inflating one but there's also ones that are lighter weight and smaller and those are not self inflating and. You know because doesn't have the foam inside it makes a little bit lighter and more compact however i found that those my experience with those have been that. They've been very uncomfortable like very strange to sleep on this is a. Very comfortable sleep also another. Thing is if this pops in the middle of the night i you'll have at least a. Little bit of insulation from the ground with a little bit of foam that's in there but if you're on a one of those purely air mattresses when that thing. Pops in the you're gonna be on the cold ground anyway that's pretty much it. Thanks for watching.

Hi I'm kevin from gear to go outfitters today we're going to show you how to use your sleeping pad today we have the thermos pearlite plus sleeping pad this is a regular size we do also offer a. Larger size if you need it but most people's will do so this is a self inflating pad that you can see right now we have it uninflated if you want to. Actually use the self inflating feature you're going to lay it out with nothing on it we're going to open the valve over here and since it's probably been rolled. Up for a while we're going to be waiting so it's a good time they may make some dinners let it kind of do its thing sure. That does work though this is actually an old thermal pro-life plush chair full. Section of the same mattress so it but. It kept inflated and small but to show you this go over the valve can't get the. Air out of it's going to self inflate almost instantaneously again it kept. Inflated and it's pretty small so it. Does work but it gives us some time if. You don't want to wait that long or you want even after you have self inflated you want a little firmer mattress you do need to still blow some air into the mattress now to accommodate you on this since there's a rental we included alcohol prep pads with each sleeping pad rental so just open it up. And we're gonna get this out and then. They take the valves I'm going to kind of clean the valve okay now I've cleaned the valve on their just blow air into pad. All right so I've been fighting enough. That every nice firm mattress here so. Really nice to do one sure if you can do to is if you weren't sure you know which. I was hire you or your head to be a little higher than feet put your analogy in bottle your water bottle it's like a level on the sleeping. Pad and kind of see which end i mean longitudinally see which is higher and kind of put your head up higher when we can test it out you know so let's say I'm gonna lay on it and. Kind of see if you felt comfortable if. Not i can let a little air out if i want to be firm work and that's more air but very good to go and this pie is really. Nice because it has been a really good r-value a really good thermal resistance value so you can use it basically around other than extreme conditions alright so packing up your pad is sometimes a. Challenge we've seen pads come back at all different shapes and forms so I'll show you how to do it properly first thing we're going to do is we're going to open the valve on some in the air up. So we will flip it over we're going to fold it in half, and we're going to start. Rolling from the toe go from the bottom. To the top trying to keep it in line as we go we're going to do this again so. Don't worry if you don't get all the air out right away they're really important as we get to the end we want to close the valve okay and now we're going to. Unroll it a second time with the valve. Closed and get a little tighter roll. This time left air in it and now i can. Get a little bit a bubble at the end so now we're going to open the valve keeping pressure on the pad casing. You're rolling it and you can kind of figure weight on it really get all the air out of it a really important and. Critical final step is to close the valve otherwise it could itself inflate inside. The stuff sack so now we have a really. Tight roll if you're really easy to get back into the stuff set. Annie's way back into your package.

Hey what's up youtube mets fan one to. One on zero here and today I'll be doing a review on the therm-a-rest pro light. Sleeping pad um so yeah so I've had this. Even pad for over two years now i think. Definitely i and i probably have over 60. Maybe more nights I'm using this. Sleeping pad so i can probably test to you know how i. Like it you know the quality and how it holds up over time so yeah so let's jump it to. Some specs on this thing so i have the. Regular size which is like the standard. 72 inch by 20 inches and by 1 inch so. The whole pads one inch thick and that is true along all the other sizes they. Also sell this in a small which is 47. Inches long and 20 inches wide or no. Yeah short that's 47 inches long. Twenty-twos wide and they sell it in a. Large which is 77 inches long and it is. 25 inches wide so as your size is. There for the small it comes in at 11. Ounces for the regular size which is what i have here it comes in at exactly 16 ounces or 1 pound and for the large. Model it comes in at 1 pound 6 ounces so. Yeah so that's about it for the specs. And it also has an r-value of 2.4 so. It's definitely not a true for seasoned. Sleeping pad it's not like the therm-a-rest pro lite plus which is very. Similar pad but has a higher r-value but. It is march offensive and heavier so. This is definitely a more of a three-season sleeping pad but you can. Stretch it to like late fall early spring if you have to it's not like a. Super lightweight sleeping pad. That is has like no r-value essentially. And so i say the comfort because that's. Really what's most important with a sleeping pad it's its its decent it's. Not like a super thick plush sleeping. Pad but what it doesn't have in. Comfort necessarily oh yeah it's still good i mean it's definitely a lot better than a you know closed cell foam mat or. You know something like that but it's its only an inch thick so it's. Not like the biggest evening pad in the world but it is plenty supported enough. With the open soul because there's like open cell foam in here, and they kind of. Call it a self inflating so you pad which I've never really understood because it never really a flights that. Much i mean i guess it you know does a little but i always have to blow it up more so i never really understood that. But you know being the only inch thick it's not you know a huge sleeping pad. And you know if there is a if you were lying on like a big rock you will you. No feel it i guess but the inch-thick is plenty thick enough for me who's you. Known as a bigger guy and sleeps on their side is still plenty supportive if you inflate it all the way it's plenty so. It's plenty supportive in that way and it's you know in my mind it's plenty. Comfortable you said it's a lot more comfortable and safe on the ground or just sleeping on a closed cell foam mat so it's definitely better than nothing but although it might not be the most comfortable pad it has a ton going for. It and that is that it's one i think it's really is its a high-value piece. Of gear the regular size comes in at. About $90 and you can easily find this. On sale a lot of places if you look at the right time so and it's super durable. In mum in my estimation the fabric here. Is it's like a quiet more fabric it's. Not like a you know neoair i guess by. Thumb rest where it's like super loud and crunchy it's more of like a brushed. Nylon so that's super comfortable I'm. Against the skin it's not noisy and it's. Pretty thick so plenty durable after all of my nights in. It I've only gotten one hole and that. Was because i was sleeping on wood like. A wood plank without anything underneath it so that was probably the reason why it popped so that was more just by. Neglect of you know keeping it um. Protected but very durable the pack down. Size is pretty small it's not super big. So yeah so the weight only pounds the pack down size is so here's this stuff. Sack it didn't come with this but this is what i use out have the when it comes with anymore but it was a little smaller than this stuff sack so i just like this. One because it's bigger so it's not as hard to don't roll it up and the other. One you really have to roll it up super tight to get in there this one it's a little easier to get it in and um. Next part so i said more our value 2.4. Plenty warm for all your three season. Use ii to inflation i said super easy to. Inflate so i guess that's where the self inflating kind of comes in handy is that when you get to camp I'd recommend taking this out of your pack you know and just letting it inflate kind of by itself and so that's when you so when. You go into your tent you only need a couple of breaths to really dial it in. And so-and-so it makes it really easy so. You know I'm spending like an hour you know blowing into this thing at night it. Just has a mouthpiece here that you just you know i shut never had an issue with. Anything around here became such nice um. So yeah and that durability i mean. That's what i mean that's i think the. The Best part of the seeking pad it's super durable you know it's just one of those that you know it's a time proven design. And peace i don't know if you buy one of these you're gonna have it for a long time if you take care of it and i said no sleep at is impervious to punctures best when you're like sleeping on wood, or they might be like a nail or something and it doesn't come with i. Mean it pretties much just comes with the stuff sack and the pad nothing else there's no doesn't come with like a educate those are pretty cheap to purchase so yeah really likes a sleeping. Pad super awesome i would highly. Recommend it ain't i mean the person who we want to buy this is telling who's looking for you know high-value good. Quality sleeping pad and dean doesn't. Want to spend a ton of money and just looking for a high-quality sleeping pad that will last for a long time thank you.

Hey everyone this is david woman and today I'm going to do a review of this mountain hardwear torch lamina z. Sleeping bag and it's a five-degree bag. And it's about 70 up so I'm a little. Warm right now mo toasty a little ready. To get out Oh. All right so in case you missed it this. Is the mountain hardwear torch lam ZEE which is the men's version of their five. Degree Fahrenheit sleeping bag overall i want to say i really like this bag and i would keep it. Except for one factor which I'll talk about later and but it's been I've had. It for almost a year now it's been across the u.s. with me japan in snow storms it's been in summer. It's been in a living room lots of aluminum and i can fairly accurately. Attest that it's a great sleeping bag i put it through the wringer for sure I'm going to start with a few things that i do like about it first of. All i do like the brand mountain hardwear and i do like the color. Important i do also like one thing i liked about. It is the welded pam construction now if. You know anything about baffle construction in these kind of products is anywhere that is if you don't well. Depending on the kind of construction typically if it's sewn then you're going to have this spot where the two fabrics meet together for the zone and it's a spot where he can easily escape. Because there's very few barriers by doing the welded you end up having loft all the way through the bag which is really nice less heat escapes that way i. Do like the zippers have been very good it's a large ykk zipper. And the air guard on the zipper does. Occasionally get stuck but I'm not going to call it a complaint because it's pretty minor it's got one strap that. Goes from the outside and then swings towards the inside so you can access it. From either side it is a double zipper so if you tend to get hot feet at night. You can unzip this and stick your feet out the bottom or for airing it out or. However you want to use that and it is a. Double zipper the velcro around the neck. I haven't had any issues with some people typically complain about that on. Sleeping bags that use velcro i haven't had an issue with that granted i don't use it a ton typically i just zip it up. But i haven't issues with it some things i don't really like about this pag and take this. With a grain of salt because they're not huge issues to me like i said i have the. Only reason I'm not going to keep it is for one reason and it's not one of these so i don't really like the fit of it now. That's something that i should have looked into more when i got this bag and it's something that i just didn't know at the time or thing to consider but just because something is a mummy bag does not mean it's going to fit you exactly the same every manufacturer has. A different fit and sizing chart and this bag in particular is quite broad. And has a lots of space in it which is great if you want to move around and twist a lot but for me I'm typically. Looking for something that is compressible small and holds in my. Warmth really well so i need to look more carefully next time at a bag fits me really well this one just has a lot. Of space around the shoulders and even the head when we cinch it up I've still got a bunch of dead air space next to my head and it's just unnecessary energy. Being wasted and heat being wasted so. That's that's my fault not necessarily the bags thing just something to know it seems to be a little bit wider than other bags to things that don't really like about this bag the drawstring the. Drawstring is difficult in my opinion it. Is a elastic shock cord which isn't. Necessarily a bad thing but the actual mechanism itself is a very stiff spring which is hard to open especially when. You're tired but also i think more. Importantly i don't like the angle of it some bags put it on the inside so that. You can easily access it but if you're all zipped up they're nice and cozy and snuggly for the night it's really. Difficult to kind of reach out through the neck and tighten things it's just. It's just difficult and it's stiff i don't know I'm not a big fan of the draw cord i wish it was on the inside and i wish it was a little easier to adjust that's just me also they have this. Zipper on the outside a very small. Little pouch good for like a cell phone. I use it for well use it i would use it. For a camera or like camera batteries. Sorry not a full camera a camera batteries or by phone to keep it warm at. Night so that the batteries don't end up going kaput well that would be great except that. They put it on the outside of the bag on the outside of the insulation which means your body heat doesn't keep it warm and there's nothing from the outside keeping it warm so basically anything you put in this bag is going to. Be freezing by morning and so that doesn't do me any good for me personally i would prefer it was on me inside then. It might have some use that's pretty. Much it oh the one thing dun-dun-dun the one. Reason I'm not going to keep this bag for too much longer is compressibility and that's not necessarily the bags fault it's just because of what i do a lot of backpacking and hiking and i. Need something more compressible because this guy even at its smallest point with. Me sitting on it and squeezing the life. Out of it doesn't really fit into my 70 liter backpack very well and so it's. Just not a good fit for me if you're. Doing a lot of car camping this may still be a great bag and I'd recommend it but if your goal is ultra light and small i would not recommend this bag all. Things considering i suppose that being. A synthetic 5 degree bags it compresses. Pretty well but i know it's a little big. For me it does come with its own compression sack which is great and its own storage bag closet storage bag the. Compression sack i will say is well fitted to the bag i do like that is if. You buy another one you're actually not going to get it any smaller they pretty much made the compression sack to be at. Its smallest point which i do like a lot so a well-fitted compression sack and a. Nice storage bag those come with it i do like that i do like the bag i would. Recommend someone else i won't be keeping it for much longer because I'm going to get a nice down one and that. Will compress a little bit more and be better suited for my adventures but. Overall this is a great bag you can find. More info about it on mountain hardwear's website or like rei website as far as actual weight and. Fill weight and it is a synthetic now. Down i don't know if i mentioned that and it's a good bag it's a good bag i. Would definitely recommend us if you guys have questions feel free as always. So one of the most important items in. Camping gear that you need is your. Sleeping bag absolutely let me tell you. What i know what it's like to be miserable without one what do we mean by that well let's take a look morning yes he slept for an hour today. Good morning kelsey i didn't pay more. Than two hours of sleep i think i didn't. Miss a little bit it's about 3 a.m. and. I'm, and she's what do you want me to do. Just we're gonna spoon. 20 minutes later i finally stop stirring, but she was chu shivering dude, so we were both like really rough night. For us it was pretty terrible first time. In yellowstone camping my first 70s gone camping and i was absolutely miserable so let me tell you what when. This sleeping bag came around the next year i was happy. Yeah i think it was a little bit different it was a entirely so these. Sleeping bags retail for about 100 to 180 and i know that may seem a little. Pricey for a sleeping bag but it is a hundred and twenty-seven percent worth it and I've had mine for going on three. Years now, and we use them a lot obviously they come in immense, and they. Come in a women's the men's i have a 35. They also have a 20 degree and the. Women's is a 35, and they also have a 20. Degree the men's the 20 degree comes in. A nice blue and i think it's like a great spy rubber quickly and the women's. Is more of what you say kind of look good turquoise like a darker blue yeah. It's like a darker blue also a gray. And obviously these are orange women's. Actually has a updated one called the. Women's north face cat's meow which is. Literally pretty much the newer version of the aleutian for the women's side the guy still does the men's solution i think the cat's meow sounds a little bit better to them than solution exactly. The same features as this sleeping bags different color just different color and a different this is all personal preference depending on what degree you want some people like higher degrees some people like lower i should like the higher degree because i get extremely hot really fast i personally like. Lower degree as in the 20 because i get. Cooled very easily so the 20 degree is perfect for me because i don't have to freeze yeah and the only difference pretty much is how thick it's gonna be alright guys, so we're gonna tell you a little bit about the different features of the sleeping bag so first feature is. These are mummy style sleeping bags what. Does that mean they do exactly that. That your head the whole purpose of it is to have as little exposure for air to come in to freeze you out, so we as well. Have these little things that actually tighten around your head yes right by your head if you tighten so it's nice. And close but this keeps it in a nice cocoon shape so you feel all good and snuggly this is a 30% down synthetic and. They call it the heat seeker eco. Synthetic pretty much what that means is it's gonna stay lightweight but it's gonna keep you warm all the sleeping bags have double zipper on each side one. Into one that's on the men's and women's but there is a difference there is a. Short zipper which is on the left side for me and then a long zipper which is on the right side for me and that's just your preference you can get the different zippers you get opposite basically the purpose of the zippers on both side is to give you that feel that you're at home in bed so basically you. Could zip it up all the way keep all the heat in or you could unzip it to about to this point where it goes about like right underneath there and then zip it on zip. It down on the other side and then you can fold it down so it kind of gives you that like you're under the covers kind of feel so that's the purpose of that and it's really nice to have just kind. Of feel like you can breathe a little bit more too but sometimes a little too snug absolutely depending on what season these are a three season sleeping bag. That is another feature these are not meant for deep winter you know like. Mount everest you're not gonna stay warm in those okay these are meant for spring summer fall you can pretty much get away with any trip that you go on we have done these in 10,000 feet in 20 degrees and stayed completely warm oh these zipper goes all the way around too almost. Basically the other side of the sleeping bag so what's great about the foot section is that it kinda has this square. Shape at the bottom so that it lays flat so you don't have like just yeah you. Don't have access room for it flop all over the place when you're sleeping it's gonna stay completely center so what's great is you can unzip it and give yourself so a little bit of breathing room for your feet and that is a great feature that's a great feature for summer camping when you still want to feel snugly but you kind of feel like. You're getting in a hotbox usually just pop the feet open and you're good other. Think you can zip it like we said all the way and just lay it flats and you can. Literally have it as a blanket we have done that multiple times so one of my. The Biggest dislikes for my bag is i know. Exactly it is so warm and that's not the. Dislike the dislike is because it's the. Lower temperature sleeping bag so the. 20-degree one it's thicker so it does. Not compact easy and that is the biggest. Think i do not like about this thinking value i have to stuff it stuffs. That it takes two people with mine yes and you've got it with one to start. Weight where i grow good on my own but it is that i mean i love this sleeping. Bag but i hate that part am i just like I'm just limited on how cold i can put. Myself back country situations so be it only. Being 35 degrees i do get warm a lot but i can only go so far before i get fruits for me just realizing that it is limited in that. Since that i can't push the boundaries all the way to really do some winter camping that that will really so if you're looking for some car camping or just some local camping i would totally recommend this big sleeping bag is great. Hey everyone this is david woman and today I'm going to do a review of this mountain hardwear torch lamina z. Sleeping bag and it's a five-degree bag. And it's about 70 up so I'm a little. Warm right now mo toasty a little ready. To get out Oh. All right so in case you missed it this. Is the mountain hardwear torch lam ZEE which is the men's version of their five. Degree Fahrenheit sleeping bag overall i want to say i really like this bag and i would keep it. Except for one factor which I'll talk about later and but it's been I've had. It for almost a year now it's been across the u.s. with me japan in snow storms it's been in summer. It's been in a living room lots of aluminum and i can fairly accurately. Attest that it's a great sleeping bag i put it through the wringer for sure I'm going to start with a few things that i do like about it first of. All i do like the brand mountain hardwear and i do like the color. Important i do also like one thing i liked about. It is the welded pam construction now if. You know anything about baffle construction in these kind of products is anywhere that is if you don't well. Depending on the kind of construction typically if it's sewn then you're going to have this spot where the two fabrics meet together for the zone and it's a spot where he can easily escape. Because there's very few barriers by doing the welded you end up having loft all the way through the bag which is really nice less heat escapes that way i. Do like the zippers have been very good it's a large ykk zipper. And the air guard on the zipper does. Occasionally get stuck but I'm not going to call it a complaint because it's pretty minor it's got one strap that. Goes from the outside and then swings towards the inside so you can access it. From either side it is a double zipper so if you tend to get hot feet at night. You can unzip this and stick your feet out the bottom or for airing it out or. However you want to use that and it is a. Double zipper the velcro around the neck. I haven't had any issues with some people typically complain about that on. Sleeping bags that use velcro i haven't had an issue with that granted i don't use it a ton typically i just zip it up. But i haven't issues with it some things i don't really like about this pag and take this. With a grain of salt because they're not huge issues to me like i said i have the. Only reason I'm not going to keep it is for one reason and it's not one of these so i don't really like the fit of it now. That's something that i should have looked into more when i got this bag and it's something that i just didn't know at the time or thing to consider but just because something is a mummy bag does not mean it's going to fit you exactly the same every manufacturer has. A different fit and sizing chart and this bag in particular is quite broad. And has a lots of space in it which is great if you want to move around and twist a lot but for me I'm typically. Looking for something that is compressible small and holds in my. Warmth really well so i need to look more carefully next time at a bag fits me really well this one just has a lot. Of space around the shoulders and even the head when we cinch it up I've still got a bunch of dead air space next to my head and it's just unnecessary energy. Being wasted and heat being wasted so. That's that's my fault not necessarily the bags thing just something to know it seems to be a little bit wider than other bags to things that don't really like about this bag the drawstring the. Drawstring is difficult in my opinion it. Is a elastic shock cord which isn't. Necessarily a bad thing but the actual mechanism itself is a very stiff spring which is hard to open especially when. You're tired but also i think more. Importantly i don't like the angle of it some bags put it on the inside so that. You can easily access it but if you're all zipped up they're nice and cozy and snuggly for the night it's really. Difficult to kind of reach out through the neck and tighten things it's just. It's just difficult and it's stiff i don't know I'm not a big fan of the draw cord i wish it was on the inside and i wish it was a little easier to adjust that's just me also they have this. Zipper on the outside a very small. Little pouch good for like a cell phone. I use it for well use it i would use it. For a camera or like camera batteries. Sorry not a full camera a camera batteries or by phone to keep it warm at. Night so that the batteries don't end up going kaput well that would be great except that. They put it on the outside of the bag on the outside of the insulation which means your body heat doesn't keep it warm and there's nothing from the outside keeping it warm so basically anything you put in this bag is going to. Be freezing by morning and so that doesn't do me any good for me personally i would prefer it was on me inside then. It might have some use that's pretty. Much it oh the one thing dun-dun-dun the one. Reason I'm not going to keep this bag for too much longer is compressibility and that's not necessarily the bags fault it's just because of what i do a lot of backpacking and hiking and i. Need something more compressible because this guy even at its smallest point with. Me sitting on it and squeezing the life. Out of it doesn't really fit into my 70 liter backpack very well and so it's. Just not a good fit for me if you're. Doing a lot of car camping this may still be a great bag and I'd recommend it but if your goal is ultra light and small i would not recommend this bag all. Things considering i suppose that being. A synthetic 5 degree bags it compresses. Pretty well but i know it's a little big. For me it does come with its own compression sack which is great and its own storage bag closet storage bag the. Compression sack i will say is well fitted to the bag i do like that is if. You buy another one you're actually not going to get it any smaller they pretty much made the compression sack to be at. Its smallest point which i do like a lot so a well-fitted compression sack and a. Nice storage bag those come with it i do like that i do like the bag i would. Recommend someone else i won't be keeping it for much longer because I'm going to get a nice down one and that. Will compress a little bit more and be better suited for my adventures but. Really warm takes you down to about zero degrees so it works great for a hot works great for a tent I've been using it all summer and all fall and it's been fantastic really soft on the inside. Really nice foot box to keep your feet warm and the best part is it fits into this wee tiny bag so you can throw it into your day pack and not have to take a huge package it's great for travelling great for tramping.
