Hey everyone this is brad paradis I've. Been field testing the new sims challenger jacket and the last few weeks. I've been putting it through all different types of weather conditions from heavy rain fog cold temperatures. And the coats just been absolutely amazing last weekend in particular i had. The coat on it was in the high 30s and. We ran at about 70 miles an hour and the coat kept me nice and warm and the major. Key to this coat that's different compared to some of the other coats that i wore in the past is the maneuverability that you have with it the coat is extremely lightweight and allows you to continue to fish throughout the day and it doesn't feel like you're being constricted in any means like some of the other coats that I've had on in the past so it does an. Incredible job with that it also has a couple of cool features as well including the kill switch clips down to. The bottom of the coat allowing you to hear both for safety purposes and as well. The cinches allowing you to close the waist area up in the coat while you're. Running that cold air out from scooting up there's also some pretty neat. Features like the little side pocket here has a small little terry cloth piece to clean your glasses or even your front gps unit if you wanted to inside. The coat as well just been an incredible. Hey gang we will hear from the ash land fly shop and today we're reviewing the ultralight, or they revised ultralight boot from patagonia and as we're heading. Into our first fall fishing season now. We're really excited to have this boot in the lineup it fits in a really nice place between some of our more heavy-duty boots that are more like hiking boots and then some of our lighter more economic boots that are they're a little bulky a little heavy the ultralight boot sits right in a sweet spot there and it's made with really high-end materials it's very. Lightweight but the revised version we like a lot more because they kind of brought the round up on the boot a. Little bit higher and i think it's gonna end up being a bit more durable boot. Which is some of the issues we had with the original tour ultralight boot i was. Fortunate enough to grab this boot and take it up to bc with me on a trip just a few weeks ago and just perform. Beautifully I'd been having a little trouble with fit and a couple of my other boots and then also i didn't want. To take rubber up there and so the felt. Boot the ultralight boot just worked perfectly it fit fantastic and. Just performed flawlessly for me really a nice supple boot it really. Moved well when i was waiting so if you have trouble with a stiff boot or a boot that's not really moving very well with your foot i encourage you to give this one a try because that's what i really got out of it's really flexible it really moved with me and i appreciated. Hey I'm corey from avid max right now. I'm going to talk to you about the Eddington felix river waders this is a three layer waiter from Eddington excellent value lots of features for the. Money so this waiter first of all we'll. Start at the top has nice comfortable shoulder straps to be worn as a chest. Waiter one of the cool things is that you can also wear this is a waist level. Waiter so the reason you can do that is. These straps are basically opposable so. They hook together so to turn it into a waist level waiter we'll just roll this. Down take those shoulder straps and it. Turns into a belt keeps that all in place like that so that's now a pant. Later so start so that's the shoulder straps. Converted it into a waist pant as well so another cool feature is we have some. Cinch straps right here at the top so you can cinch that down if it's really cold out you want to cinch that up keep. All the cold weather out or it's warm out you want a little extra airflow you can stretch that out or if you're wearing a coat or something heavy you might want to adjust that a little bit inside the waiter here is a flip-out. Pocket this pocket i like to keep like. My wallet or my phone or my car keys in here that way I'm not going to drop them in the water, and they're going to stay waterproof inside here so this different isn't waterproof but because they flip. Inside the waiter like that chances are it's not going to get wet on the outside we have a very water-resistant pocket so. That pocket you can keep some you know fly fishing gear fly box nippers. Clippers leaders tip at all that kind of stuff then we have a fleece-lined hand warmer. Pocket so this pocket goes all the way through fleece line nice and cozy if. You're out there on the water your hands get a little bit chilly you can warm them up warm them up right inside there next thing is we have a waiting belt the. Waiting belt is built-in that basically keeps that does two things for you one. That keeps the pants up, so they don't fall down keeps it nice and snug it has loops so that that belt stays in place but the other thing is for safety waiting belts basically keep it so that if you fall in the water your pant legs don't fill up with water. Right away if your waders completely fill up with water if you fall in the river it's going to be very hard to stand up and you're just going to shoot down the river so it's a safety feature you should always wear a wading belt these waders come with the wading belt. Next thing is they have to layer reinforced knee area so that. Reinforcement goes all the way down to the shin that way if you're kneeling down on the ground if you're landing a fish you kneel down close to the water or if you've got to take a break and kneel down you're not going to mess up the waders a little bit of extra protection there and then the last thing is we have a standard gravel guard that. You about the Eddington ska git river waiting booth it's a great waiting booth from Eddington one of their top-of-the-line booths starting at the top here it's got a great padded ankle. Collar the top of it is really stiff great support it's got a back on it here. That feels really solid i think it's one. Of the things i really like about the boot for putting pins on if I'm going to. Be jumping in and a belly boat that you're not going to have the back of the fins that are digging into your heel to. Your ankle anything like that it also has the deep draw lacing system. Which means when you're when you're out there you can pull them tight once and from bottom to top it's its going to. Fit really well just felt like a glove the metal pieces here are all corrosion resistant so it's really. Durable going to last for a long time you don't have to worry about those falling apart on you at all the one of. The nice features of this boot is these mesh panels right here so these are actually the drainage system on this boot so as you're stepping out of the river you're going to have water. Just coming out of kind of everywhere on the boot so it's going to empty the boots out real quick for you're not going to be wandering around with a boot full of water for quite a while it as well. Has all around the bottom is this rubber toe cap and it's extra thick right here in the front for as you're bouncing. Around in rivers and kickin rocks it has. Got a good bruise on it and i thought oh no what have i done to my waders but when i looked there wasn't a mark on him it's unbelievable just the mud and that was it so yeah they're tough they'll take the knocks and pounding or crawling around the steel head rivers they're wonderful. Also for walking the beaches in Cape Cod i use a mine in Cape Cod and if you've ever walked a beach with a regular wading boots you know that you end up with a couple of pounds of sand in each boot by the end of the day well with boot foot waders you keep the sand out so whether you are fishing a cold.
