Today of the Kelty Red Wing 44. This is a 44 litre backpack with hip straps. And a bunch of external pockets it’s a relatively new release based on the. Most recent version of the Kelty Red Wing 50 which is a long-standing popular backpack on the market there’s also a much smaller Red Wing 32 which is the 32 litre. And Kelty’s got a whole range of products there’s a. Few reviews of this backpack on YouTube but. Iwanted to give some personal perspectives. And also some up close you’ll notice I’m actually quite zoomed in. You can’t actually see the whole backpack. And that’s on purpose. Because I’m actually well it’s probably because of how my camera setup is here in my studio. And it’s also because I’m going to be really focusing on a lot of the details. You can look at Kelty’s own product video. Or other YouTube videos for what it looks like on somebody’s back walking down the street but.

Iwant to focus on a. Few details and hopefully. This will be a pretty quick. And dirty review I purchased. This backpack just under a month ago so. Idon’t have a huge amount of experience with. Ipurchased it initially. And used it right away for a week trip to Hawaii with my family. Iwanted something. That could basically be a carry-on suitcase bag. It does fit carry-on parameters. One pretty full as well as. Igot there a day hike bag. That wasn’t too oversized. Or under sized as well as a diaper bag. Or just handling baby stuff which I’ve got going on in my life were. You know I may not need to pack a bunch of stuff for a six-hour day hike but. We might be just going to the beach. And there’s big beach blankets. And so forth that take up a lot of space.

That would be too bulky for a regular day pack. Something is more of a backpack style think so. That was my reason for purchasing it. This video could be useful to. Anyone who wants to use. It for hiking or travel again. Because it’s a sort of nice backpack but carry-on size for pretty much. Any airline I think would let. You on the plane with. You the basic overview again I’m going to start with I’m gonna focus pretty much on details I’m not gonna do. Everything that every other reviewers done but just. Some standout things. Ithink are relevant to a purchasing decision on. This pack because it’s been very well reviewed sort of as a legacy of. All the great reviews of the Redoing 50 which. Idon’t own, so I’m just coming to. It could my review is kind of next. You my feedback by the way.

This is orange tape here. And here as well as. This nite ize red plastic SP nor our add-ons. Everything else here is stopped so let. Me start with the straps. Most people most reviewers finished with the straps but let. Me start with the straps in general good lumbar support big padded hip strap with a good sized waist belt that’s easy to adjust little manali type attachments on the waist on the padded portion of the waist strap so shoulder straps are nicely padded with load lifters which actually did work in my experience with. What little Hawaii load. Ihad for my trip chest strap is included pretty normal with the adjustments up. And down on the chest zipping right along pat pockets there are sorts of the visually defining feature. This pack is that there’s. These vertical pockets on the left. And right both sides nice and spacious there’s a pass-through pocket. That goes all the way through which. Ididn’t really have much use for and put.

Some water bottle pocket the standard mesh pretty deep here from small to large there’s a. What I guess people call an admin pocket with. All the various slots for pens. And notebooks in your iPhone here no little mini zip pocket but pretty packed admin pocket with a little key loop in the lid actually let. Me in the main compartment has. This top loader feature. You keep the compression straps. That sort of stops the top load. And just lets you stuff from above. You quickly undo quickly is the key feature here. You quickly undo it unzips pretty completely I’d say 80% of the way down to be a panel loader finally last but not least there’s a little tiny pocket in the lid for sunglasses. Or your wallet keys. Or whatnot that’s what I use.

It for and that’s pretty much. It for basic specs and that’s. What you’ll see in other reviews let. Me point out a few specific features. That may or may not also be in other reviews there’s a pretty heavy-duty handle here on the front for lifting this. More like a suitcase horizontally. Than typical backpack loop on top. Although as you saw with the orange tape there is a small issue loop on top as well so that’s an interesting add-on. Idid use it’s an iceberg I’ll leave. Imentioned this briefly earlier but. Ididn’t use this trip. Iappreciate it there being little sort of straps here for potentially adding pouches. Or just putting a flashlight with a little pocket clip. Something for hiking outdoors use also on the bottom of the pack. Each other and ears have mentioned there is also webbing two rows of webbing for a bedroll with lashing straps.

You really wanted to expand. This to make this up two. Or three day backpacking bags so those are nice the last little detail thing I’ll mention. Idid find useful is on the backpack strap there’s. This little elastic tensioner. Where no matter what your level of tightening of the main tie there’s always a little tension because of. This elastic that actually very useful for keeping this functional as a chest strap as. Iwas walking along with a full load as well as the hip strap as well. One thing I will go over. Ithink is particularly relevant to folks shopping for this bag is water bottles for the side pockets. These side pockets scream out to be used with sort of your classic water bottle.

You can always put the things in the mesh pockets but a lot of people complain oh. If I’m packing along. II don’t know this could fall out along the trail. Iwouldn’t know till. Igot to my camp I had fallen out so people liked the idea of having the bottle storage on the side. It just seems common sense. You look at the design of the bag. However in their infinite wisdom healthy knowing. That there’s pretty much. One universal size of Nalgene bottle made. It a little small sea. It is a little snug. It does fit that last little bend. And the zipper was a little tight. Iwill tell this backpack is empty. You have a full pack. Everything has bulged out. This is extremely hard to close. And actually risks damaging the zipper so. Iwanted to just mention a. Few things first they as well. Ihave a clean canteen here. That really doesn’t fit. It sticks all the way out the top so. What I discovered well first of. All there’s these little 16-ounce. No jeans and outfit no problem those are great.

You don’t need a huge water supply but a solution. That worked you keep the 30 ounce sorry 32 ounce full liter capacity of the. Now gene of this guy but fitting in here with a little less hassle. Now gene makes these old school canteens shaped flat water bottles. And I’ll tell you again. These fit easier as I’m demonstrating it. Because the pole pack isn’t bulging at the seams but. This fits with a lot of room. And despair not a lot but. More room to spare less stress on the zipper. When you’re loading up so. This isn’t it’s still sort of knock against the backpack. That the standard bottle doesn’t fit easily.

This is just Universal among. Everybody but I know but there is a workaround. You still want a full liter water same capacity to fit in. These side pockets these pockets are also good for putting a little over shirt. You want to walk with layers. And not open your main pack over. And over again throughout the hike. Someone who’s walking with. You unzip and take. It out for you or a hat without having to take off the pack. And break all down anyway water bottle holders for the side given. Ifound a workable 1 litre bottle. These pockets you got is. One of these one of these. You may be in trouble. You may have to use the mesh.

And the risk of falling out so. This pack is just straight from Hawaii. Ididn’t wash anything my first general observation from the experience. You can see this with your own eyes here. Although the black is a little hard to see in the video is. It stays pretty clean the fabric is pretty good at standard distances a. Few marks but it down on the bottom not too bad unknown long-term durability again I’ve had. This just over one month. And really just took. One real trip to Hawaii not. That country hiking or. Anything but it worked good prose the main capacity main pocket capacity is very good it’s shaped in a way. It bubbles out all the maximum cubic inches inside. You can use the water bladder holder. You want to I didn’t use. That but it’s its well-designed. And a compress straps at least the way they’re designed to pull out.

And back to the four corners are good at holding the contents of the main pocket in as intended. Another Pro is that the fit. And weight distribution with the small amount of framing here with the aluminum rod. And the pack design. And the straps and the load lifters. All the strapping for me anyway was great for fit. And weight distribution. Ihad a pretty late load of mostly clothing I wasn’t carrying and that’ll cook kit for a backpack trip. Anything but I think for loads of. You know thirty pounds. Even forty pounds it’s its a comfortable pack. Another pro the final. That I’ll list is the looks. Or subjective in all consumer products but. Ilike minimal badging and labeling and reflective strips. And contrasting zipper pulls. And stuff this amount of badging just so. Icould see it on earth from a distance. And know it was my bag but really. Ilike the minimum minimalist look. You can decide in and other videos. You like the look there are. Some other colors but.

This sort of two-tone fabric. One is sort of smooth nylon. One is a little bit of a texture to. It is nice gives it a little bit of distinctive look but is minimalist which. Ilike let me talk about the things. And I’m rushing through here but let. Iwant to keep this quick let. Me talk about the things. Ididn’t like about. This bag first and foremost the buckles. All the buckles seemed incredibly cheap in terms of the quality of the plastic. And the design these are guaranteed to break so the material of the buckles. Ireally don’t like. And also the size these are the compression straps. It hard to even thread the tab into the slide. Many times it was just so small. Ifelt like I was threading a needle the chest strap which.

Iused every time it on it’s a little bigger. Then the compression straps but. Ifound myself you know trying 10 10 times sometimes to get. It aligned and then. Ifelt like again it was so cheap. Ithought and didn’t. And pushed I could very easily snap off. One of these guys the waist strap which is substantially bigger still feels for what it is super cheap. You just the hardware is like the material the fabric it’s the fundamental of the bag it’s got to work. Idid not have nothing broke on. This trip but is the first trip. Idid not have confidence in the quality of the buckles especially the compression straps which are tiny. And the chest rack which is still pretty small the other thing I did not like on the subject of small. And weak is the zippers. And the zipper poles are about as small as. You can get on a full-size pack again.

They work they didn’t break this trip but. They did not inspire confidence a pull cord seems like a big cut corners. You know it’s not so much an issue for. That in the pocket but. You fill out this big 44 litre main compartments let. You’re really yanking on these zippers. You come around the corner in. This sort of s-curve to get the lid shut. It did not inspire confidence. It again made me feel like. This is gonna break sooner. Then later it’s fine in Hawaii but. Iwouldn’t want this to break. Either the zippers of the clasps in a back country hiking situation the last sort of con. That I’ll talk about they’re really left out at. Iwas using this bag for my first trip is. That the pocket capacity in the pocket design didn’t seem great.

Icommented that the main compartment is great. Istand by it opens almost completely. It the sort of bubble shape of the pack. That sort of rounds. All serves to give the maximum capacity to the main compartment. This guy I feel like. Iput a shirt anything I mean there is like half an inch at the top of depth in. This bag and really not. That much at the bottom. Either there may be two inches. Ireally couldn’t get. That much in here I couldn’t access. Anything on the admin panels the other thing I’ll say is. Itry to flip this open as. You would do in an admin panel situation trying to give it. Something this thing shut every time. Icould like jam and open but eventually. It going going it would just shut on. It was like someone was putting a prank on. Something every time. Itry to open this thing and again. Iwanted to fall back. It what’s in here it was doubly hard. This goes for the top lid compartment to the pockets not.

That small but the opening is inexplicably small. They could have just made the zipper curved around just a little. You could get in there but again the pocket is maybe an inch deep at the front. And tapers to nothing at the back so you’re just really excite. When your wallet or sunglasses not getting a lot of. Anything in there it seems like it’s just a little. More thought of the design. These various issues. These various issues could have been addressed. One small break that won’t really say it’s a complaint but small bright. Idon’t know if it’ll come during the video is on the back you’ve got. All the padding for your back you’ve got the padding on the chest strap.

You got the padding on the waist belt the padding this won’t come through in the video but the padding that’s on the back surface is a nice sort of closed cell foam feeling like. You would expect in. This kind of padding however in the belt the waist strap. And the shoulder strap listen your. That crunchy it’s like. They crumpled up a bunch of saran wrap. Something I mean there is foam in there but it’s like it’s somehow it’s not just. This kind of traditional nice soft plush. Yet firm padding they just use. Something different in Enix Lucas inexplicably thinner. And a little noisier. Idon’t know it didn’t it’s not a deal-breaker for me but. Ithought I’d point. Ihaven’t seen it in other videos. Idon’t know why there’re two kinds of foam. If there’s just some other shape holding material in their anyway not a pro definitely at least a grape so. Some pros and cons. And a grape again sorry. Iput the clothes up here by the way the s beaner from night eyes. This is the number for size fits perfectly in the two lower loops here.

You want to have something to easily attach a couple doodads to just a little backpack hack. Icame up with after purchasing the bag okay bottom line Kelty Red Wing 44 it’s a good basic design. Isee why people like. Ilike the idea of outer pockets. And the mesh pocket. And multiple pockets in the main body of the bag the carry system is relatively sophisticated for a moderately priced bag. All the adjustments in the strap. And load carrying system are pretty good I’ll give Kelty credit for. Ihave to say the zippers the material the clasps my gosh the clips are just. Idon’t want to say unacceptable but just inexplicably low quality. And not confidence-inspiring for a bag of. This cost I got a deal on Amazon. Iwas sort of watching prices go up. And down as they do on. Any Amazon from about a hundred.

And twenty-two ninety-nine to. Whatever this bag on a day. It was actually about $80. Few cents and that’s pretty reasonable. And I’ll have to say for $80. This is a fairly priced bag. It does have quite a bit of capacity. It does have the weight bearing carry system for if. You are gonna go backpacking with. This for 80 bucks it’s a reasonable value. Ican recommend I don’t have a comparison with. Another bag of similar costs but. Ithink for 80 bucks its fair for a hundred. And twenty whatever else it’s been going for even a hundred. Even ninety I don’t know. Ijust think the materials are too weak to take. And carry out on a plane to go on vacation with your family in Hawaii maybe it’s not a big deal cuz. If a clip breaks oh well. You just go down the road to get a repair. You went back home on the airline with a broken buckle but.

One of the very essential zippers. Or clasp break in a backpacking situation for which. This bag was designed that’s no good. You can’t do your compression straps. Or get your chest strap on. When you’re carrying your load to pack out of the mountains. If a zipper breaks you can’t. Even keep a flap closed. Ijust think that’s unacceptable. Iwould not recommend. This really at any price certainly not over $100 to. Someone just going to use. This for backpacking use. It in the city use it for air travel use. It with my little water bottle hack for not breaking the zip. Or getting your bottle in. And out of the side pocket. You know as this sort of backpack diaper bag for a vacation. That worked for me I don’t think I’m going to use.

This for its secondary intended use of hiking and backpacking and camping which. Ihope to use it for but it’s just not up to snuff that’s. This review has been helpful again sorry I’m sort of zoomed in here. This is kind of how my setup was but. Iput the black bag. Everything I wanted to be able to gather enough detail to show. What I was talking about with. All the various pros. And cons I’ve talked about what’s important to. And relevant based on my use of the bag for a month tell. What you think in the comments. You disagree or agree. You have a different Kelty bag of different attributes. Or weaknesses another brand. You think I should try. Idon’t want this for backpacking would love to hear comments.

And get the dialogue going if. You liked the video. You like my other videos like comment. Or subscribe love feedback. And we’ll see if the next video.

The Kelty Red Wing 44 is able to carry. All of your gear for a long day hikes overnight travel. Or day to day use if you’re looking for a larger capacity pack but. You don’t want to go into a full-fledged multi-day pack it’s got convenient pockets for all your gear a large u-shaped zipper access into the main compartment small side pockets spot for your water bottle. And lots of organization for your smaller items on the front the rigid back panel. And padding on the shoulder straps gives support but the mesh gives a lot of ventilation. Even remove the hip belt. When you’re not using it. Ican see using this pack as a carry-on. Or an overnight backpack for lighter loads. This as being a mid sized pack. It falls somewhere in-between a smaller day pack. And a full-fledged multi day pack but. That means you can get a lot of different uses out of. If you’re packing lightweight. You could probably take. This on an overnight. Or weekend backpacking but. You can also really cinch down the compression straps. And make it a much smaller pack for those day hikes for travel. Ican see this being great. It would fit into an overhead bin. You can really pack. Even know someone who uses. It as a diaper bag day-to-day. And it’s the perfect size for. That so digging into. All the pockets want to start at the top here. You have a pretty shallow pocket up here. You can store some smaller shallow items, so we’ve got. One up there it’s even got a key clip on the inside so. You can access your keys so. They don’t get lost in the rest of the pack feature. Ireally love about. You have a large u-shaped zipper into the main compartment so.

It starts here runs. All the way around the pack. And over to the other side. You have these compression straps on top. You can actually open. It up just as a top lid. And almost use it as a top loader so. You don’t have to open. All up to get to the items the top of your pack but as. Iremove some of the items here. You can see how much space. You really have to get in there. You open these compression straps. You can open this pack almost like a piece of luggage so. You can really fold. That down you can see. All the access you’ve got here. It has a zipper on either side. Even open the pack just on the side. And grab some things on the side. Or the bottom of the pack so really convenient zipper there. Iremove some of the things in there I’ve. Even got a sleeping bag tucked away in there. Some other items you can see. That big pocket on the front you’ve got an organizational pocket.

Isee the pack shining for kind of the day to day use I’ve got a little notebook my phone in there. Some pens and actually. Ihave a tablet it fits really nicely into. That sleeve as well so. You have access to put the tablet different places. And then just got an extra layer tucked down in there so it’s a pretty deep pocket. You do have stretchy water bottle access there on. Either side and then. These side pockets are really nice. These bellows pocket. When you’re not using them. They actually tuck away really nicely but. You do have access into the back so. You could store something longer like. You have tent poles. You can store them back there.

If you’ve got trekking poles. You have that pass-through to the stretchy pocket down there. And then again all kinds of compression straps on. You can make it a much smaller pack. You need to on the outside here. You have a tuck away carry handle. You can use to pick up the pack it’s a nice durable handle. When the packs on the ground. Or laying on the floor it’s really easy to pick. It up by you have daisy chain attachments there as well. And those tuck away really nicely so. If you’re just using this day-to-day those don’t get in the way moving down. You do have some tool loops here. You can use them as ice axe loops. Or trekking pole loops. You have these compression straps up here. They work really nicely. And attaching gear to the front of the pack. It around check out the back panel. And the shoulder straps. Ireally like the design here with. All the mesh this is called hex mesh.

And it’s really wide open mesh. That allows a lot of breath ability turn the pack to the side. You can see how much padding there is on those key areas of your back so as you’re wearing it. That padding is really going to keep the back panel up away from your back a little bit. And with these channels it’s going to breathe well down here on the bottom. You can see a really nice lumbar pad that’s going to really transfer the load of the pack to your hips. You have that same mesh in through the hip belt a pretty substantial hip belt for this size pack. You can really cinch. That down to carry the load on your hips. Now again you can remove. If you’re just using this as an everyday pack. You don’t need this big of a hip belt but. This works really well nice contours in the shoulder straps. And really good padding there so.

Ican see that lasting a long time. Now as far as stability. You have an HDPE frame sheet there keeps the weight down but. It has nice rigidity in the back panel. And then this is a slightly larger pack there’s a single aluminum stay there behind the scenes just to give it. More rigidity to transfer. That load down to your hips. This pack does just come in. One size but you can adjust. These shoulder straps with the load lifter straps up here so. You can adjust you can adjust. It up depending on your torso length. This is considered a man’s pack it’s got a woman’s version that’s a little bit shorter in the torso but. Ican see this pack working well for a lot of different people overall with. All the features you get here.

This is a great pack for traveling again store. It in Handover then a pack. You can use for lightweight backpacking if you’re just going out for the weekend. Or doing an overnight just a multi-use pack that’s really durable. And it’s going to last a long time it’s the Kelty Red Wing 44 you.

That pack open and really tensions up. That suspension system providing a really nice stable fit Going back up to the top here. We have got innovative stiffeners in the load lifter portion of the backpack which allow really good weight distribution without weighing down the shoulders The shoulder straps do have. That nice padded open foam as well as. Some nice lighter weight down lower. You don’t quite need as much stability The harness is adjustable up.

And down about three to four inches So. You can grab the sides here. It will slide up and down so. You can really dial in the proper harness. And torso adjustment We do have a sliding sternum strap with a buckle. It has got an emergency whistle built into. That buckle as well So a nice feature there again to really dial in the right fit for yourself Back down to the hip belt again tension hip belt. We have to Osprey’s fit on the fly hip belt which is a nice again a nice attachment there so. You can really open. It up If you are in between sizes. It will allow you to alter. That size to really get the proper fit So overall really smart. And just well engineered suspension system from Osprey We are going to take a look. Some organizational features on the Atmos 65 AG Starting on the suspension side. We have got two lower hip belt pockets They are big enough to small food.

Or small items like granola bars. Anything like I have also got looks like a cell phone fits in the pocket nicely there So two sizable pockets for any items. You would need to get your hands on quickly Going back up to the top. We have got two pockets on the hood of the pack One lower pocket is pretty sizable You can get. Some larger items in there. You know it is food a headlamp maps books. Anything like that And a smaller pocket on the top for any extra items. You may want to store. You know that are quickly accessible Turning the pack back around to the front. This is a top loading pack So the majority of the access is going to be from the very top You have got a floating lid. That will adjust up. And down depending on. You want to store any gear under. It But opening we have got just. One big top loading compartment.

That up there Very sizable en-trance So. You can really get in. And access things easily There is also a flap jacket cover for lidless use So. You can actually take the entire hood portion of. This pack off and just use. This cover as a kind of minimalist style hood. That gives some extra weather protection So. It is a nice feature It comes built into the pack. That is a pretty cool little feature. They have got here Moving down the front of the pack. You have got a stretch mesh front pocket You have got two side pockets so. You can store any items in their like bug sprays. Or head lamps Again. Any smaller items you might want to access quickly Moving down again.

You have got two side mesh pockets. Either side water bottles. Ihave got some trekking poles in their good pockets for multiple types of equipment And at the bottom. You have got a sleeping bag compartment So. You actually have top. And bottom access to. This pack Now there is a divider built into the pack between the main compartment. The sleeping bag compartment but. You can separate one large tubular style pack. You would like to do. That A neat feature about the water bottle pockets on the side of. This pack you can actually access them two different ways So right. Ihave got my water bottle pocket in their kind of the standard way But there is actually a side opening here.

That will allow you to place the water bottle in on an angle so. You are wearing the pack. You can have much easier access. You know instead of awkwardly reaching back You can just simply grab. And take a drink So. That is a nice a feature on. Each of the water bottle pockets there Going through. Some other features on. This pack we will start at the top We do have an internal hydration sleeve with a port. That accesses out of the suspension area The hydration is not included but there is a sleeve so. You can use a system. You would like to Going down. We have got who compression straps on the top sides of the pack A little bit farther down. We have got compression straps lower as well So there is two different areas of compression on.

Either side On the front. We have got you know ice tool loops. And bungee cord attachments So there is two of those right on the front of the pack And a little bit farther down. We actually have removable sleeping pad straps So. You can lash your sleeping pad. Any other gear with. These straps And you don’t want to use them. You can simply take them off So. Some pretty nice features there Back on the other side Osprey includes third stow on the go trekking pole attachment And. We have also got a nice gear loop down at the bottom there So. That is helpful you know. You don’t want to actually pack away your trekking poles. And set them aside You can just use. This bungee attachment.

This loop down here. They sit nicely at your side so. They are ready to go. You are So there you have It is the Osprey Atmos 65 AG a really exciting pack with a really innovative suspension system. That is sure to provide lots of comfort. And breath ability on the trail.

Hey guys how much today with a gear favourite backpack. This for all kinds of trips it’s an osprey daylight it’s a 15 liter bag that’s. What I remember I purchased itI’ve used. This thing on several international trips. Several domestic trips through flights it’s perfect as a carry-on personal item that’s. What I use it for get a small enough. It fits underneath the seat in front of. That counted as best. You can still bring a big carry-on bag. That is a double or rolling suitcase. Something like that so super right back for. That it’s also great for hiking or just for anything you want to go walking around going on a trip I’m used for all sorts of things I’ve been happy to have. It in pretty much every situation it’s small enough. You don’t feel like you’re carrying around a big bag a lot of stuff but it’s big enough. You can fit in pretty much. Everything you might need so for example. Icould fit a day’s worth of clothes like just. One chain to close a jacket like a body charger just different accessories for the day.

Ican have and maybe like a packed lunch. Or snacks all that’s no problem to fit in here. And carry around in your back it’s got. One big compartment right here. That’s the bulk of what you’re carrying and. It actually fits a surprisingly large amount of items in there that’s that’s. Iput the bulk of stuff with. Any of those small things right up here. This little pouch has two little mesh pockets so that’s why I usually put like up a charger pack. And then like headphones. Or phone charger for like just the accessories I’m taking those pouches. And then also I can put like an energy bar. Or my sunglasses in the pouch itself that’s easy access on top not to go digging around for it that’s.

Ilike to put it the bag is super durable I’ve used. It heavily on the trip. We went on last summer. Iliterally used this bag every day for at least two months with heavy use wearing it. All day long constantly taking stuff in. And out of it so the zippers have gotten a lot of use they’re still going justify the material itself super sturdy mesh here super sturdy like zero complaints as far as durability goes. And it’s also a super comfortable bag so the straps are great for them especially burgers you’re outside doing kind of exerting activities. This keeps cool it breathes very well so does. This back porcelains up against your back it’s got a pad in there. And the match ups that breathe very well as well.

If you’re using this for hiking it has a spot right here. You can put like that like Camel back water bag there’s kind of hydration accessory there. Idon’t have one of those. More of a hiking for Mike. And best didn’t want to get. One so it’s really cool to have. That option it’s also for the straps it’s got to go across your chest right here which you’re great. You know what every time. It on the ones I don’t use as much but. It still has is hip straps so it’s carrying a lot of weight for some reason your buckle goes around your hips. And just helps trigger the weight. If say you’re like cycling you know using riding a bike that’ll help keep. It from so much in the back the only complaint. Ihave of it the couch is for putting your water bottle they’re not exactly shaped well in my opinion at the back of the bottle for example I’ve got. That sticks out at an angle.

And so you’re moving around much it’s really easy for to slip out especially the bags packed. This area right here kind of bulges out. And there’s not really a lot of room for bottleneck but. That with carabiner. Ijust clip it on to. This strap right here that’s hang. It there is on. Both sides that isn’t really. That strap intended for but. Iwant to use it last summer two months drink full bottle of water every single day on. That strap it’s not. One out so it can obviously handle. It so that’s what I use. That for and it’s just an amazing bag. Ihighly recommend one in fact actually. It was convincing my brother just the other day. How great a fabulous. He just went to work. He just couldn’t take anymore put on a trip. That he’s coming with. Ijust convinced him. He had to have these bags in fact. It for a deal — they’re usually around $50 regular price so. If you’re already out on the Amazon but just the other day.

What actually was talking him about. They were going for like $35 on Amazon set. That is just one heck of a deal. And then you want to buy a second. One just to have you know. Even need because that’s such a good deal so. If you’re interested in. One I’d say go check. You can see you can find it for $35. Ijust buy it Reds in their okay can’t say enough good things about. This bag and it’s Osprey so. You know it’s good quality. And a really great guarantee on other bags. Ilove their stuff anyway thanks for watching this review guys great bag. You need one great for carry-on the personal items. They for anything you want for you’ll do the job. All right you like. This video push that like button. You want to see more content like. That is going to carry a lot of weight comfortably. And is going to give. You a lot of features. And an extremely custom fit The first thing to talk about with. Any back pack is the way. It carries the load. And the suspension system So. Iam going to turn this pack around just to see. What is going on be-hind the scenes here The stand out feature of the Ariel series is the inform hip belt. And harness So the hip belt. And harness are swappable You can put different size components on. This pack So the pack itself comes in a couple of different sizes. And the harness and hip belt also come in different sizes So. You can get that perfect custom fit Someone who has a long torso. And skinny hips you know get a large pack with a small hip belt. You know all the different combinations. That are in their So really stand out feature with his series Again with the suspension system there is a light wire aluminum frame. That goes around the outside of the pack. That just comfortably transfers the load right to your hips right. It needs to be You have Osprey’s airs cape back panel. This has some mesh material It has also got foam. That allows that heat to escape from your back So. You are not going to overheat. You know you are going to be really comfortable a really breathable back panel With the breath ability the inform harness. And hip belt also have really nice mesh So.

That is going to allow perspiration to wick. It is going to allow. You to breathe I do want to mention. That there is also an adjustable back panel So. While the pack comes in different sizes. You can also adjust. This back panel here It is really easy It is Velcro So. You have to do is undo the Velcro. And move the back panel up. And down so more of a custom fit there You can really dial. It in for your torso length On the back. You do have a hydration compatible sleeve And. This is actually accessed from outside of the pack So. You don’t have to open up the body of the pack take your gear out in order for you to replace the hydration system. That is in there It doesn’t come with a hydration reservoir but. You can buy one separately Moving down to the hip belt. You have a hip belt pocket on. Either side big enough for a cell phone. Or a granola bar something you want to get your hands on quickly There is an adjustable sternum strap here a safety whistle on their And. One thing I do want to mention.

We are at this side of the pack. They have stowed on the go trekking pole loops And. Something I really love about Osprey packs You know. You are hiking with your trekking poles. You want to just unload them for a little bit. You don’t have to take your pack off. And attach them You can just put the trekking poles right here on the stow on the go trekking pole loops. And continue on your way There is really smart pockets. And organization for people who like to organize their gear Starting with the top lid. You have a really nice open pocket up here on the top for items. You want to get your hands on quickly like a first aid kit. Or lighter weight items And. This top lid is floating so. You can adjust and down depending on the size of your load Really great thing about. You can actually take the top lid completely off. It as a hip pack So a great feature there It adds a lot of value. You just want to go on day trips.

This pack for shorter trips If. Iturn the pack around. And just expose the top lid here. You can see that folds back And the top of the pack opens up really wide so. This is a true top loading pack You also have a J shaped zipper right here so. You can get into the body of the pack But. This is really easy to use You can see. Ihave got some gear in there. And there is an internal compression strap So. You don’t have it packed out completely. You can really cinch down the gear. That is inside And you can see. This pack being great for a guide. Or for someone that is thru-hiking where your load might be really big at. One point you need a lot of room but. This has a lot of compression straps in different place so as your load gets smaller. You are calling a smaller load.

You can really cinch down the pack. And your gear stays secure Moving to. This J shaped zipper. This gives you really nice access into the body of the pack So. It is a little bit bigger of a pack. Ijust set you can see. How wide that opens. Ican access stuff that is here on the bottom. Ihave just got a little stove in there. And access stuff all the way up to the top A really convenient feature. You don’t have to take a lot of things out of your pack in order to get hands on what you want. This bottom compartment here is your typical sleeping bag compartment That opens up really wide You can see. Ihave a sleeping bag in there So there is a divider between the bottom sleeping bag compartment. And the main body of the pack But. You want you can take. That divider out and just have.

One big pocket Stretchy mesh pocket on the front. Ilike to keep an extra layer. Or a map something I want to get my hands on quickly. Something that is lightweight On the side. You have got really long. What I normally call water bottle pockets Right here. Ihave just tent poles in their So. You can see the depths of. That pocket You have got two entry points into. This pocket one from the top. One from the side So. Ihave got my water bottle in the other side And. This has just an angled entry So. It is really easy to just grab your water. You need it You don’t have to take your pack off. And reach into this deep pocket The other cool thing about. This pocket is there is compression straps There is. You can put them underneath of.

This stretchy pocket Or as. You can see on this side. Ihave the compression strap on the outside So again really versatile pack You can compress. And adjust the volume One of the things. Most about this pack is the versatility. And the different ways. It can be used So going through the little features. That make a big difference in the top. You have got some webbing attachments Working my way down here on the front there are two compression straps So. One thing they can do is just compress the volume of the pack down But. You can use these to attach a snow board Or skis. Or snow shoes or any-thing to the front of. This pack so nice feature there And on. This pack in my opinion. These are two curious little buckles but. You really have a small load. You need to com-press the pack down. These buckles right her are meant to reach over buckle there.

One down there So what these two are used for Working my way down the pack. More there is two nice really sturdy tool loops on the bottom So just to give. You an idea of how big those loops are. You have got attachment points up here So. Any mountaineering tools ice axes things like. You can attach them really easily there And then. Iam working my way down to the bottom There are two nice adjustable webbing loops All in. One of the most versatile packs It has got extremely great customization You can dial in the fit. You know the fit of. This pack it is going to last. You for a really long time. And just continue to offer support.

And comfort in the back country It is the Osprey women’s Ariel 65 backpack.

Hey guys this is Jason from my 10 feet. And today I’m going to review my new backpack with. You well actually is not. That new I’ve been using this backpack for the last four. Or five months I already want to live like seven. Or eight different countries with. And Samantha I we’ve been using it. And it’s a great product in. Ithink the four or five months of use actually continuously used actually. This is my house right. Everything I own is in here will give. Me enough knowledge do. You know to give you know a best a good review okay so let’s start with the brand it’s a High Sierra actually my previous backpack was a High Sierra. Istill have this brand it’s a really good brand. Something different. One of those huge backpacks. You know like the 50 60 leaders so. You sometimes know your shoulders get tired so. Iwas like okay let’s go. Something else you know. You know whenever you have like those big ones. You want to like take. Something that is in the middle of the backpack. You have to take everything away so it’s freaking messy. You know like you have to like take. Everything out and then put. It back in but with. This back but you just have to open. And there we go that’s. It so the first attribute of. This backpack is it a carry-on size so. You can bring it with. And then whenever you go to an airplane, so I’m gonna be put in a list of. All the airplane models. Ihave used for the last three months so. You guys will see on which one’s fits very good. And other ones we have to like take.

And the front is out but. Iwill give all the information ok so first the beauty about. This backpack is well like. Isaid it’s a carry-on backpack so. You can see the sizes are perfect for carry-on but. This top part you can actually remove. This part and I’m telling you right. Now the backpack is full so. Ididn’t want to like make a review without. Nothing inside so we just arrived here yesterday so. Ihave an impact I wanted to give. You know like a full backpack reveal okay so let. Me just move the camera a little bit so. You guys can see what I’m doing okay so here. Ican take this front part away. They have a zipper right here. You can take it out so your backpack automatically converts into a day backpack. You can see you can take. This out and then you can just carry. It carries on Isis the election is very comfortable.

And you’ll be amazed of. All the stuff you can fit in on my last events I’ve been using it, so I’ve been carrying my laptop inside is a 15 inches laptop. If it’s perfectly actually. Ican feel like a bigger. All the cables I already. Iput always my rain jacket so as. You actually I’m gonna open. You guys can see I have a lot of a lot of crap inside right. And it’s all my cables mouse actually. Some medicines. Ialways carry with. Me just in case and then in the front pocket see. Igot my sunblock I have my waterproof cover. And then you can have like pans here. You can put your cell phone. You can put like all your work stuff here then on the sides. You can put like bottle waters like. These ones see it fits perfectly so. You can actually have two so that’s a really good thing so. You can have liked you know like. You carry on then for your day fact. You can use you don’t have to carry. One then with the backpack itself. That brought this out. You can have a right here.

You can feel like you don’t know. Anything you want and here on the top. You have the handle so. You can pretty much just carry. Whatever you want if you’re in the airport. If you’re on the streets. You can just carry you know yeah I’d be using it actually. All over New York carried. And the wheels work perfectly. Whenever you’re in the airport are not noisy at. All they’re very smooth. And very stable the handle is a case made by aluminum. And so far I’ve been using it like. You know super long. You know the handle. He hasn’t broken yet, so I’ve been ain’t no gonna broke it’s very stable. You know the materials. All good so as you can see. You just take out in an hour desk. You can have you can just close. This zipper so you hide the handle then. These are the wheels right here I’ve been using them for like. Isaid for months like almost every day. They still look very good.

They haven’t get stuck. They still roll like very good so no problem. Iwill show more pictures on. And the post so you guys can see like. More details and then. Another great feature about. This backpack is this just look so. You can just take this down. And then you just put. This here you just tie. It up here it has like a Velcro. He doesn’t like a Velcro thing so just put. It right here you go quick. And then you’d have. Another backpack here so pretty much. You are in a place where is very hard to roll your backpack. You can just like you know like open. And carry on as you can see so. It works very well and of course. You can wear whenever. You have like the outside part too so that’s a great feature of.

This backpack because pretty much. You can have like a three backpacks in. You have like the day backpack. One right here then. You have the rolling backpack. When everybody’s look just like. They hang out and then. You can just wear that’s a big. You like a lot of options like the other day. We were into a ferry. You know close to the ocean. We were just making the line. It was impossible to roll. It was a lot of scent so it’s perfectly just take. This out you just you know. You just wear on your back. You know like a normal backpack so it’s very good. This space inside I’m gonna just take the camera. You know as you guys can see. This secure things right here. These lots so in case. You have a lot of stuff it’s not gonna break open. And I’m telling you it’s very messy okay so.

This is a few of the clothes. We got actually we fit around 20 pieces of clothes here. You have this stripes here. You can just like tight. You have a lot of clothes but. You mean as you guys can see. You can fit a lot of stuff here. You will be able to carry. It on an airplane so. You don’t have to pay for it check back. You don’t have to deal. You know with the earnings loosing your bags so. This is a great item. Ihighly recommended for travelers. You can use it for different purposes like. You know like we are always traveling so the item was perfect. Ihave use several times so. If you’re looking for a new backpack. Irecommend you to use. One it’s very good the price is good. Ican tell you the qualities is its perfect. Imean it’s not like no like. II have it just for four.

Or five months but so far it’s. Nothing happening and. You know everything is. It looks just like new so. You want more details about. This product just check the post. You have any question just feel free to ask.

YouTube marine sniper coming back after with. Another video about the kelty trekker the Celts tracker has three thousand nine hundred cubic inches in. It for space this at sports authority for about a hundred. And forty dollars um. You get a good cell. You can get them for cheaper but. This was about around the holidays so. This is the small/medium version. Ihad to sum this backpack up in. One word it would be. It would be sizable in every which way. You can adjust and it’s a great backpack. All around it has great mesh support in here so. It doesn’t wear down. And cut into your shoulder shoulders. Anything I also like. It has like a Molly type of things up here. You can put all sorts of different bags on top. Even your sleeping pad. And stuff can still be on. It also has an external frame very light. It weighs in at four pounds eight ounces very nice the first pocket is right here big enough put. Some socks something right there then going on to the left side. We have a pocket down here which is very decent. This pocket up here which can fit a good sized water bottle. This side the right side. We have an adjustable pocket so. One is completely adjustable. You can put a canteen water bottle. Anything like that cooking supplies then on top of the bag. This pocket which can fit like.

Another water bottles. Any supplies like it also comes with two pins to adjust. Because order adjusting. It to your size you have to take out the pins. And resize and it’s completely re sizable. It can fit anyone from. Any height then like on the opposite side. We have the same that’s the same pouch down here. Now get into the insides of the kelty trekker. This bucket right here it’s pockets very decent size memory. Or pair of pants anything like. That then right here. We have a space for lanyard a clip. Anything like that then. We have a grab handle so. We can carry it then down here. This pocket was made for a sleeping bag it’s pretty small for my sleeping bag so.

Ican’t carry my sleeping bag on there. Or in here so it’s a good thing. It comes down here with adjustable lengths put your sleeping bag in completely adjustable. You can put your it’s got lots of room down here so. You can put your sleeping bag your tents your sleeping pad a claw. Anything like that then down here it’s completely adjustable to very light bag like. Isaid four pounds eight ounces 3900 cubic inches um. This is the kelty trekker. You can buy any sports shop like a sports authority cabala’s. Anything like I would highly recommend. This bag out of the. One through ten did. This is at least a nine bag a very great bag comes in. All sorts of different colors. Because it’s what they had very great bag very supportive Marine sniper help.

Dr Z man here with a Fox opening some camping supplies. One of the things we got was thermal rust Z light that’s only 14 ounces. It packs up really compactly. And is easy to undo too so that’s. One new addition to the project. And we’ve got a Kellie rain cover a large. Igot a rain cover based upon my buddy Crockett’s experience on the glacier call with having a little trouble with his gear getting the wet so decided. You know might where’s. It to get a rain cover. Iwent ahead and got the Kelty brand as. Igot a Kelty backpack. Italked with the salesman at back country edge. He suggested that the Kelty covers will were. More expensive it might be good to go. Because they’re designed with an external frame backpack in mind. Some other covers. It has its own oh and it’s attached to mesh pouch. And the mesh I thought was really cool. Ihadn’t noticed that until. Ijust opened the box here but. If you’re using a rain cover maybe it’s. Because it’s raining or snowing and so it’s probably gonna be wet so. You pack it in the mesh. It can dry more easily. It wasn’t mesh based upon. Nothing fancies reviews as well as other research. That did on the internet. And talking to other backpackers. They were serious about backpacking I decided to for my first back pack first real backpack to go with an external frame expand ability being able to strap things onto the frame.

And keeping it cooler of keeping it up off my back internal frame packs are closer to your back which is nice for weight balancing but realistically. Most of the time that I’ll be back packing I’ll be building up. Somebody heat it would like. Some ventilation here who knows. Imight do some winter hiking where. Iwon’t sweat it almost the time. Ithink I’m really gonna appreciate the ventilation has a sternum strap. Some strap to hook some things on here adjustable whip for the straps. Both here and here nice mesh support here. Ihaven’t looked into. This a lot yet I’m wondering if. Ican expand and move the frame make. It higher I’m not sure I’ll have to look at the owner’s manual I’m just getting it out of the box. Now so I’m getting to know. We speak now the fact. Igot was the Kelty trekker 3950 so. That holds three thousand nine hundred. And fifty cubic inches. Or 65 litres starting at the waist drop. They package wrapped around the back.

Or the ball those straps. It has two-tone foam. It feels like you’ll be very comfortable, so I’m looking forward to trying it with. Some weight in one thing I liked about. Some other models. Ididn’t get they tend to be. More expensive models. And that’s part of why I didn’t get. Some of them had zip pockets here. Ithought that was super practical. Idon’t have to take my pack off to reach small items. This is a cheaper model. And does not have any pockets on the waist. One version even had maybe a space for small Nalgene bottle so there’re trade-offs. More features this pack retails for 139. Ipaid last at back country edge. Ithink is like 80 some dollars maybe.

You know price is very. Isay 12% on signing up for a review program. They have there’s free shipping so. Ifelt like I got a pretty good deal okay. This front flap there’s a pocket inside Spri roomy. It actually comes with an owner’s manual again I’m new to buying new backpacks. More thorough video I’ll roll in the last little thing. Iused so as impressed. It has an owner’s manual, so I’ll get into. Then Ron got some Molly style straps obviously they’re not one-inch they’re wider but. They are useful for hanging stuff on got the clips here. And that’s the first time I’m opening this up here so. Idon’t know what all. Igot here viewing it on the website is. One thing seeing in person is quiet. Another so these small pouches. Ican tell by the size. Ican fit my small Nalgene bottle in here. This in a similar size pocket on my winter Swiss Army backpack. And it’s a nice size of course to be nice size for camcorders cameras by the electronic gear.

Anything else that says there’s. Some larger pockets. Or I’m going to look forward to sparing. These it’s like some compression straps. And then this is labored the sleeping bag pocket I’m not sure. If the sleeping bag. Ihave is gonna fit in. That tiny space or not I’ll have to look it’s a nice handle here. And place it’s an anchor. More gear on the outside better zipped pocket I’m gonna drag the pocket inside okay hey again there’s a logo trekker 3950 apparently the trekker has been around for many years for Kelty. This general ballpark from 39 to 3950 has been a popular size for them okay looks like we’ve got a weather cover. You can cinch up the main cargo area oh look at. That there’s some internal pockets.

Ihadn’t realized or again looking at a couple of photos on the website doesn’t do. It justice so you can see. How far my hand is going down for this project the wide open space inside there so there’s the unboxing of the Kelty tractor 3950 his. You who’ve been watching my videos can tell. Iobsessed just a little bit about things every. Once in a and so obsessed a little bit about which size to get. Ihad narrowed I weren’t a external frame pack. Inarrowed I said well I’ll go ahead. And do Kelty I like North Face was just a little. More expensive I chose to go. More the value route so then. It was down the size. Ihad settled on the 39 50. And then I looked at the website. More time I saw the five thousand. And fifty-five hundred.

Ithought well for just a. More dollars you know. This extra room who knows. Imight be able to need. It down the road I’m a novice Packer right. Now but maybe down the road. Icould expand I don’t use. Icould always use straps to kind of compress. It up against my back again. Italked with a back country edge salesman. Or the main difference between the 3950. And the 5000 5500 was. That in the 5000 5900. They take this space. They just add more pack material so other. That it’s about the same so. Ican have a similar amount of space as the 5058 guy 5500. Ijust have to strap. It on the frame so since I’m a novice as.

This might be awhile since. Iget till I get real crazy about packing really heavy loads. Ithought this might be a nice place to start. Ican also pass along to the kids. Or my wife she would like to get into. Ithought it might be a nice starter pack well thanks for watching all. You guys updated it works on the trail.

The Alps Mountaineer mountaineering redtail 4900 talking about in the podcast as a front pocket we’re actually talking back as a sleeping bag stuff area so. You can let leave off the stuff sack have two nylon tops is on the side for holding water bottles. It has various almost too. Many tension straps adjusting straps the top is very interesting it as. Iwas mentioning it not only does. It strapped to the top but. It turns into a big kangaroo pouch in the inside there are it’s a full belt strap so. You can use it as a fanny pack. That just pretty well. Once again it has very well-designed very well thought of the inside has double closing straps shall. And so keep water out. And keep everything in. You can please it is pretty big on the inside be back as full padded back. And have pretty fit lots of tensions lots of straps in the front. This really is not a.

What I would call a very light. Imean it’s not one of the lightest ones will ever see out there so don’t think about. If you’re an ultralight backpacker has a really cool port here on the side for you to put your hydration pack on the inside again there’s a little slot here for your hydration pack so. You can put the bladder right in there. And then the tube comes out. That side very well thought of very well-designed been always a very big fan of Alps mountaineering I think they’re. One of the more unfortunately underrated maybe. They don’t advertise tremendous amount but. This backpack is available. You can go to scout direct calm.

They run specials every. Once in a while so. This is the Alps mountaineering redtail 4900.

     Cancer and Reproductive Harm- www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

The top-of-the-line mountaineering and Alpine expedition pack from Gregory the Denali 75 has a load of Mountain friendly features a heavy-duty suspension system. And an overall design. That caters to those serious alpine adventurers the Denali 75 carries weight so well. Because it’s equipped with Gregory’s fusion flex pro system. This grants load support. And stability through two aluminum stays an anti barreling horizontal stay. And an integrated frame sheet the back panel is built of molded evie a foam. And the harness automatically flexes to move with the user the pre curved hip belt is designed to move with. And conform to the shape of the user the aluminum stays. And the lid of this pack can be completely removed for even. More minimalist lightweight carry loads of features line. This pack including a dual layer laminated front panel for crampons ice tools. Or snow shoes the compression straps can help cinch down a smaller load. And also double as ski. Or snowboard lash straps there’s a removable bivy pad for alpine. Or mountaineering use. And there are attachments on the belt to use with a mountaineering sled let’s take a.

More in-depth look at the Gregory — Natalie 75 the pack is constructed with two 10 D. And 420 D nylon ripstop fabrics so. It is still a lightweight fabric but. It is very durable and abrasion resistant the bottom. However is reinforced with a six thirty high density nylon so. You get really heavy reinforcement on the bottom of the pack so. It down pick it up set. It down again and again it’s really going to help. That to hold up over time. This pack has a really nice beefy suspension system. And that’s how it’s going to maintain comfort with a heavy load it’s using Gregory’s Fusion flex Pro suspension system. It is a very fully featured suspension system we’ve got two aluminum vertical stays from the top. That bring the load. All the way down into the hips there is a horizontal anti barrel stay in there so. That to stabilize the load.

And there is an integrated frame sheet so that’s also going to help to stabilize. That weight the back panel here is a molded EBA back panel. It is very thick very well padded. You can see that there’s no real mesh here. Anything like that’s designed for those snowy adventures so snow has nowhere to build up. Or kind of get caked into you’ve got a really smooth panel it’ll help to shed. That snow that ice the harness is an auto-adjust harness so. Each shoulder strap will adjust individually so it’ll automatically adjust to the user it’ll work with the user. And it’ll move with the user so it’ll provide a really good amount of comfort throughout a long hard hike the hip belt is an auto can’t hip belt as well so. It is individually flexible it’ll move with the user again it’ll still transfer. That load to the hips comfortably but it’ll allow for a lot of movement a lot of mobility.

And flex with that hip belt. It is pre curved it is a unisex pack so. It is designed to fit a wide range of different users. Some neat features about. That suspension system those two aluminum stays can actually be completely removed so. You have a lighter load. You don’t need that extra support. You can take those stays out. You can leave them at home there’s also a removable bivy pad inside the back panel of. This pack so in the main pack body there’s a sleeve. That bivy pad rests there. It acts as an extra padding for the back panel here but. You can simply take. That out you don’t need. That bivy pad as a knee pad. Or just to sit on when you’re in the mountains so. Some extra convenience in. That aspect there are a number of features right on the hip belt with. This pack that make.

It really great for those mountaineering expeditions you’ve got a small hip belt pocket that’s great for some emergency items. You need it but on the right side here we’ve got a gear loop that’s a great place to clip. Some extra carbines. Some ice tools you need. Some emergency cord. And there’s also a slot in. That hip belt for an ice tool holder so a little ice clip carabiner. You can slide that right in there have your ice screws ready at the ready for when. You need them there’s as well. Some loops at the backside of the hip belt. That are going to allow. You to attach a mountaineering sled so for those really big expeditions. You can easily attach a sled to.

This pack comfortably so. It rests right around the hips so. It doesn’t add any unnecessary pressure I’m going to turn the pack back around. And take a look at how. We access all the contents so. This is a top loading pack the main access point for the pack is through the top. You have a really spacious lid on the pack. You do have some additional storage on. That lid but you don’t need the lid. You can take and leave. It at home it’s really easy to do. That you’ve got two buckles on the front you’ve got two buckles on the back. You do have an additional strap on the back as well. That will let you simply take the hood off. And leave it at home. You need to there are two pockets in. That lid you want to use them but otherwise. You don’t need you don’t want. It the pack is accessed through a large top collar you’ve actually got two collars on the pack so you’ve got the main color here. And then you’ve got an extendable spin drift collar above. That so it’ll actually allow.

You to over stuff the pack. You need to get that full capacity so it’s really convenient. It adds a lot of extra space. And a lot of extra organization. You choose to use it there’s also a side entry point on the pack so on. One of the sides of the pack. You have a large vertical zipper. That will allow you to get into the side of the pack quickly. And easily to access. Some of those middle contents. You need them there’s no bottom access on. This pack so there’s no sleeping bag compartment on the pack. That allows for a lot of extra durability. It keeps a lot more streamlined down low so keep. That in mind with the Denali 75. Some other features. That make this pack ski. Or mountaineering specific the front panel here is heavily reinforced so. You can lash some snowshoes to the front.

Some crampons that material is very abrasion resistant. It can certainly hold up to those items. We have a slot down low for some ice axes. You choose to use those there. And you’ve got gear loops as well. And velcro Luc’s to tie those off right at the top of the pack we’ve got upper. And lower compression. And those compression straps can extend around the front of the pack to act as ski. Or snowboard lash straps so it’s really easy to bring those straps around the front of the pack to lash down. Some of those items. We also have dual bottle holders. Or gear pockets on either side so at the bottom right under. That bottom compression strap there’s an extended pocket. You can store water bottle there. You choose to some additional gear those pockets are fairly large. And on the side instead of having another access point we’ve got a small pocket that’s a great place for small maps. Some emergency items things. You just want have quick access to on the outside of the pack finally for some additional gear lashing you have a lot of options on the front you’ve got a ton of loops here to lash.

Some additional gear. You need to you’ve got a couple loops down at the bottom of the pack to attach. Some extra gear and on the shoulder straps as well there are. Some extra daisy chains so. You can certainly lash. More gear there you choose to. It is a hydration compatible pack there is a hydration sleeve inside but a reservoir is not included so. You would have to purchase. That separately there’s a sleeve on the inside. You can hang and there is a port on the back here. That tube can come out keep in mind. If you’re using it for serious alpine use. You might want to have an insulated tube those would be sold separately as well overall it’s super heavy-duty it’s really rugged holds a lot of weight comfortably. And is great for mountaineering and Alpine expeditions it’s the Gregory Denali 75 thanks for watching if. Any additional questions about the gear. Lo g bolt here trying to do a quick internet searching for videos. That a lot of other people go looking for the unusual are the things. That aren’t being done. Ithought I’d follow up with. One here quick video what’s coming in as far as my stock got nice little package here from the Dutch from Dutch. Where calm and his Blue Goose latest products the first. One of course is the sip pad there. It is right there here’s my order processed always got the thanks. And peace Dutch in the corner nice little touch personal touch greatly appreciated. And here are the his new sit pad kind of cool small lightweight. Nothing to and the hammock thinking of using it also as a foot pad for my feet. And heels it’s not as long as. Iwas thinking I was thinking more backpack long but still it’s good size. Imean there’s nothing wrong with. And definitely your butt can sit on. And it’s easy to put away. It does have it does have a photograph. You look right here um there’s a wide bar here. That goes out and here’s. That goes in so there is a way to fold. It to get it to fold down the easiest phone again. Iwould make I don’t know exactly. Where a stick is but it’s a quick end out of the pad so. You can go almost anywhere on top anywhere for quick access so. When you’re on the trail. Even goes in the pocket there may be a good place board behind the water bottle so it’s quick. And easy to pull out open up.

And set your ear down on so yeah I’m happy with. Idon’t think I think a bigger size would get in the way. You want quick and easy. When you’re on the trail otherwise. You end up not using it which is. What happens to me too great. Many times that was just part of the Dutch order the other part was. This right here on the lightest weight pack cover on the market let’s go back to the amazing thing isI’ll be able to put my head in. That in with it the amazing thing about. This was I left a note. Because at the time. He had been running out of these. And didn’t have and then. They got back online. He put him back online. Iwent there he didn’t have the camo so. Iordered the black but then. Imade a little note. That said look have. You got amylin camel in stock I’ll take the camo print over the black. And sure enough Dutch came through with the camo there’s the lightest backpack there is there’s the bottom little snack there’s a top part to.

It right here, so he’s owned a little loop in there to. Where the loop comes out so. You can see it on top. You can see it on bottom that’s important to. What I’d like to do is I’d almost like to I’d almost like to be able to somehow mitten hook. Or I’m not exactly sure. Yet but somehow maybe hang. This on to the hammock. Some way to drop clothes in. It up to the line so. Iget multiple uses that’s not a bad idea. Icould quick clip that to up to a Sideline matter of fact Dutch may get. Another order because he’s got those quilt books. And I’m thinking that those hooks would work on a Sideline just hold. And throw stuff in. It so it’s above my head. Although I got war bonnet Blackbird. You the one side pocket is wonderful. Everything I need there soI’m not sure butI’m always looking for ways to do things different.

And to change things upI’m going to go ahead. Iwonder which way is which. Iwould imagine I would just imagine. That then this goes on bottom are on top I’m going to have to look to find out which goes. Where but it’s must be a perfect fit on the ohm. And of course I don’t have. Idon’t have a patch but here is the hall pull. That pull this top strap through so. You could hang it up not look to. This especially without the pack not IM in there but it’s going to be a nice fit looking cool. Ilove the camel color. And again for those individuals debating the weight of. This this is under 2 ounces.

Ithink it’s one point nine ounces it’s a life’s. One on the market I looked at. You la’s I looked at other vendors. Ilooked at a storage pouch. Ilooked at impacts which has a human fiber. And z packs is a lighter but. That cuban fiber on a pack. It gets torn and you’re taping it. One was the cheapest on the market for the lightest weight. Imade the right choice. Imade the right call comes in to the number of colors easy on Easy Off I’m pleased. And frightening quite interesting again. Idon’t think you can buy. Anything a Dutch and go wrong you’re going to find some use. If not you’re going to be able to pass on. Somebody else and make them happy so. Ithink it’s a heck of a heck of a deal there thank.

I’m out of the woods today again my nephew. He Samantha found a nice flat spot which is as far away from the path over there as. Ican get particularly have a bit of a play with my poncho basher. And make it fire so yeah. Ibought this sea2summit poncho which is quite nice and in the bag open. One handed the bag it came in. Iused for my cordage tent stakes tie outs. And the shelter and which. Iwill explain later as price we’ve got. Some dinner on the go my licks order v stove those not just cut out in the back. It just seemed to help just let the air flow. That was a tip I saw on. Another guy’s video so yeah wait for these sausages to cook up tuck them in. Some vid all right so got. This sea2summit poncho just put up low for the moment. That is quite low I mean I’ll get him there as a one-man shelter which is. What I made for the end of. It shelters ends was just cheap night on a famine. Some bulldog clips that just loops on there. Either peg it down oh I’ve just put a big piece of stick there for now cuz. That would keep it down it’s not blowing a Julio. Anything but so no that would work for me obviously. It was a all the summer. Iwouldn’t need it quite as low that’s only just to keep the vinyl for me so for my sort of hiking or biking. That would suit me fine I’ve got the adjustable walk. And pole today but I can take.

Ineeded it oh yeah that’s. Something that’s a I’ve got enough size to sleep under for the summer which is mostly. Ido my hikes and bikes you.

Everybody today I’m reviewing the nylon tarp poncho from sea2summit. This is a another seed summit product they’ve uh they’ve had. Me review a couple of different items. This is uh just that maintains the quality. They like to present in their products it’s uh. They mainly target campers backpackers. That sort of thing that need a way to keep their electronic to dry. Or for lightweight ways to carry their gear. This is just another great product do. They offer you can be. One of the Poncho’s. You see here in the picture. You can also convert to a shelter. Some specs here’s lightweight waterproof fabric double stitched. And taped sealed hood construction organ ama Cree panel peak hood accommodates large backpack usually converts to a two-person shoulders reinforcement reinforced attachment points so it’s multi-purpose. And slide that off here so. This is a separate little pouch here. You can stow that aside for now okay so first glance you’ll notice the anchor point is right away. They have a double stitching here at the corners. And the reinforcement stitching for the anchor points so. You can use this as a other shelter. You can anchor this in the corners. And create a two-person shoulder with.

It can also be put on like a poncho to wear with a hood I’ll hold. It up so you can tell what’s going on here alright so has a drawstring here for the hood. You want to tighten. Ilike the fact that the hood the top comes over so. It protects your face from the land but it’s really big. Idon’t know it was the easy dimensions on. That packaging but I’m a pretty big guy. And I’d say this is probably maybe five feet wide. And just about the same length but unsnaps on the sides seeking your eye. This is a shelter which gives. More space all right so. You can get creative with. This as you’d like creating a shoulder I’m not going to do. That today but it’s a really important thing to have in your bag. Some form of shoulder compact shoulder. Because the number one killer out in the wilderness like. That can be hypothermia.

You know having your body temperature so low. You can’t recover you need a way to protect yourself from the elements on a tarp we’ll do. It just seems type of weatherproof covering you know. If you’re just one person just having this on as a hoodie. Or a ponchos is a you know far better. Then having nothing so it’s lightweight it’ll fit right down in your backpack. How small I was in the little bag. It just gets it works great. That serves the purpose it’s not a glory of glorified out on prepper item. And it’s just it’s not. Something people are just going to rave about but it’s really a necessary item. Ican’t really expand upon. That enough so you have. You have a need for some type of protective shouldering the recommend seeing the summit poncho. You can wear you can’t set. It up as a two-person tarp as well so. All their products are well-made.

And are made to last so be sure. And give them a glance. If you’re in the market for. That sort of thing so. Ijust mentioned the dimensions a minute ago 59 inches by 104 inches so pretty big coverage area it’s 13 ounces. And weight so if you’re wanting to order the nylon tarp poncho. You can go to sea2summit calm directly. And over through them. You can go to amazon com. You prefer to order. That way I’ll put both links in the YouTube video description. If you’re watching this on Facebook wait to the very end of the video. And there will be a link. Provided there so you can shop directly.
