This is a good day to talk about waterproofing your gear as it’s thundering and have a great storm just to the north of me here by this river, and what I want to talk to you about is the Kiwi heavy duty water repellent, and this is a camp dry. It’s a silicon spray, it’s very easy to apply. You just follow the directions. I would call this more of a water resistant spray than a waterproof. It says for two applications for best results.

I would say even maybe do four it just doesn’t really build up. It has to dry and cure also for a day to two days. I applied it here on my hiking boots, which are the Isola fugitive, gore-tex boots, and also just some leather work gloves that I showed or I will be showing here so, but as far as applying it very easy, very simple to do you just clean clean off, whatever you’re going to do ahead of time, get up as much dirt any sort of grease or anything like that.

You know wash it up a little bit and let it dry out and then apply it and you can apply it every four hours. Just follow the instructions on the can it’s six dollars a can or that’s what I pay for it at Walmart, and it’s very easy to find. It usually can find it into your big-box stores. Next to the shoe polish and shoe strings and all that, but some other products that you might want to consider would be snow seal and also Nick wax has a huge line of products I’m going to probably give Nick, quacks and maybe snow sell an advantage over this Kiwi heavy duty, water repellent, but this for what it is for it for its price and just its ease of use.

It’s worth recommending I wanted to throw that your way. It’s not going to be a hundred percent. It wasn’t for me, it helped the water to beat up slightly better, but it wasn’t a hundred percent after at some point that silicon is going to break down and you just got to retreat and retreat. So that’s it I’m going to try to keep this one short again trying to keep these review. Videos short anyways thanks for checking in guys and take care.

Those guys don’t need any silicone spray. Do they supposedly breathable. So you know as your, for example, on your feet. If you’re using it you’re, not gonna, be using it on your feet,.

Spray boots with some camp dry here, where it’s warm and pretty open and fairly ventilated and kind of, let it soak in instead of trying to spray them at home, because this stuff will smell up a small house or an apartment, real, easy and it’ll kind of linger by the time anybody comes back into where we shut the plant down tonight. So by the time anybody comes back into work, smell will have dissipated. It’s a much larger area here. It’s a lot easier to do.

Ordinarily, I would spray this on in the summertime and just leave them in the shed for the weekend. But it’s it’s wintertime right now, it’s too cold out! You want to really spray this like room temperature or warmer. So we’ve got our Belleville 600 C T, the C T stands for compost site. Oh no I’m just kidding composite, so it’s a safety toe, but it’s composite instead of steel, so it won’t conduct electricity and also in cold weather. You know these are hot weather boots and cold weather that composite toe is and isn’t going to.

Freeze your your foot as much that steel toe kind of tends to hold on for that cold air. So these are american-made boots. Belleville makes a really good quality. Boot I decided to get some in sage, green I, typically get them in a coyote I get the Marine Corps issue aircrew boots. I thought I’d keep these aside, so we’re going to go ahead and we’re gonna spray. Some can’t dry on them. When I get his tag, Walter dear person get out the old Leatherman waiting again lace them up later.

So you’re gonna have to forgive the camera angle. Typically, I just start with the tongue, I make sure I get inside he’s trying to saturate everything. Try to get all the surfaces covered inside your little looks and crannies. That’s places that are easily overlooked, and this will change the color. A little bit might darken it just a little bit. I do kind of lay it on a little heavy. You probably don’t need to apply this much, but the way I’ve always done it.

You can’t fry is just just to help out in those wet weather situations around all the eyelets seems so there’s the Belleville logo on the back there right around the Seoul I’m, not sure how well the cameras getting this I’ve got it propped up against the box, so I try to make sure I get the tongue first and then the stitching and around the soul before I just do the main area. I mean it’s pretty much saturated, as is I’m just kind of filling in and this stuff the boots will will kind of smell all weekend.

It’s a little bit a little bit like a military supply depot which I like that smell, but most people don’t so I’ll. Let them sit here and work for about the next I’ve got about a four and a half hours, let’s work and then I’ll bring them home with all the areas in between, and this right here, I don’t mind that it darkens up the food a little bit and get right inside here too inside on and how to do it. One more thing: I’m gonna go ahead and spray the laces I.

Typically, don’t, but why not right here and if I get a little overspray on the boots so much the better now I’ve never gone back and treated boots, afterward I just do them when they’re new, so I’m not really sure what the life expectancy is on this or if they recommend going back. Maybe it’s just because I wear my boots out fast enough and I will be putting in these insoles after they dry and I lace them up. This is an american-made insole that you can buy at Walmart, believe it or not, and these tend to work pretty good I, replace them about every six months.

Tents and other gear can be subjected to a lot of abuse when we’re out on the trail. Abrasion and high winds are both challenges that our gear has to stand up to, but there’s another factor which can seriously affect your gears abilities to deal with these challenges, and that is uv radiation. We all know that strong, sunlight at high altitudes or during the summer months can have a seriously damaging effect on our skin, but many people don’t realize how much it affects fabrics.

Also, in just two weeks of summertime exposure, synthetic fabrics can lose up to half their strength, making them much more vulnerable to tearing and puncture tent and gear. Solid proof protects your gear from uv radiation, whilst at the same time adding water dependency. A single application can double the useful life of a tent fabric, delaying the need to replace what is often expensive equipment, tent and gear sided proof is easy and safe to use at home since, like all nick wax products, it’s non-flammable and fluorocarbon free for best results, rinse the fabric first with water to remove any dirt.

There’s no need to dry before treatment simply apply the solder proof evenly to the fabric with a spray brush or sponge using a damp cloth take care to wipe off surplus product as you go along once your gear is dried off, it will be protected from both water and ultraviolet. It will last much longer than it would otherwise helping you to get the absolute most out of your kit.

Hi welcome to our first review. Hopefully this is working. I have a feeling. It’s not, but we’ll see anyway. I wanted to review ear aids, durable, waterproofing spray, this on your coat or your backpack or your pants, and you can air dry it for 48 hours or you can put it into the dryer and heat dry. It I sprayed the heck out of my coat and my snow pants I.

Take them some Billy regularly and I also have to clear snow in our parking lot. All the time and I’ll tell you that this stuff just didn’t work I, put it in the dryer and let it dry all my things that I sprayed and it didn’t take very long to dry, even though I soaked, the outside of the items but well the first time I got out snowmobiling, it I got snow on the coat and it was pretty pretty cold, and so it wasn’t really wet and so I didn’t get any penetration, which is how it usually is.

But then, like the next day, I came home and had two snow blow, my driveway and it was pretty warm and that snow was melting on my coat and my snow, pants and I just got wet all the way down to my skin, so it didn’t work, didn’t work at all. I’m totally unsatisfied I would recommend something else. I hope. Other people have better luck with it because it looks like it sells a lot on Amazon, but I would not recommend this product for waterproofing.

Anything that you use I wouldn’t take a camping but wouldn’t use it on my tent. It just didn’t. Do the job I followed the instructions I watched, the video online of how to do it, it didn’t work, might be that I got a faulty bottle. I’d be happy to correct this, but I’m not gonna pay for more. If this is not a good bottle, I would I would try it again, but it just didn’t work.

So that’s my first review. This is my first live video, Eddy and any time in my life, so I hope that you enjoyed the video I, hope it helps. You find the right product you’re looking for and if you want to get more reviews, you can subscribe to our channel like our like our page, and if you want to do your own review, you can email our our email address with the link in the description thanks.

Hello guys today, I will be introducing to you the best tent waterproofing spray. Whenever kids go camping as Boy Scouts, they need to learn everything from the best ways to set up a tent or even going for its regular maintenance, though many tents, these come with waterproofing, exteriors or even double lining interiors to keep the tent dry inside. However, for others, you may use waterproofing sprays.

These come in aerosol cans or as sprays. The aerosol bottle can produce a finer mist to settle and give the fabric better waterproofing. Also, while buying these sprays note that you have to take care of tent fabrics, these fabrics could be from nylon or polyester, and this also decides the type of sprays for waterproofing in the market. Many brands have come up with their compositions of tent sprays.

I am starting from the last in the list, and the product is the mary-kate fabric waterproof for tent the product is the premium heavy duty material ideal for making a synthetic and cotton fabric dense. Waterproof the water repellent has no color or dyes and is safe to use. It can be put to use on boat covers or on marine grade fabrics to the fourth product is the Kiwi tent waterproofing spray.

The product is ideal for use on hunting, apparel and leather. It has synthetic bonds and contains silicone while allowing the material to breathe the product forms a strong barrier and allows the tents to remain dry while being odor free after spring. The third product is the nikah xdx direct spray and waterproofing. The product comes as a spray-on application that does not contain voc special brighteners or any PFC s.

The waterproofing spray revives the breath ability of all the waterproof garments. The spray is ideal for use on waterproof, outerwear too. Besides, it is perfect for synthetic and sleeping bags. The second product is the 303 products tent waterproofing spray. The product is safe for all types of fabrics and can repel moisture or stains. It can restore the lost water, while also increasing the resistance to soiling the product does not change the fabric odor or feel while providing complete water resistance.

The spray protects olive, oil-based and water-based stains. The final product is the star brite tent waterproofing spray. The product offers a barrier against UV rays, as well as providing waterproofing for boat covers and sail covers. The spray comes with protection for canvas nylon, Sunbrella fabrics along with leather. It does not change the breath, ability or texture of the fabric.

After a lot of research, my choice is the star Brite waterproofing spray. The product is ideal for waterproofing canvas, nylon and other materials, including leather. It repels stain and protects from UV rays. I have attached the product links in the description box below please like and share the video if you find it informative. We’re going to look at some tent waterproofing spray in this video, this one’s by Kiwi camp dry. This is their heavy duty. Water repellent it’s 13% silicone, so it lasts longer. It’s tougher and it’s a better for water protection. As you can see here, it’s the spray style with the cap with the aerosol spray nozzle there. As you can see, this particular spray is effective on all types of breathable materials like tents, tarps and boots as well.

As you can see here, there’s it’s extremely flammable, so be careful when you’re spraying it on the silicone bonds, the leather and fabric, and it makes for a waterproof barrier and it’s odorless. After its dried completely, you can see the performance guarantee and another danger warning there. You can pause if you’d like to go back and read that information. The camp dry products have been great on our boots and tents for many years now, so give it a try, thanks for watching.

Hey Larry: do you hear there’s only then finding out your tent leaks, it’s finding out from your wife or significant other that the leak is on their side of the tent I happen to have this happen. Last time, I, wife and I was out so I’m doing a little waterproofing on my backpacking tent. It’s a small tent to person to people who are very close, the easiest way to do it. What I’ve used is Nick’s Nick walks I’ve had a really good luck with these products. They’re biodegradable non-toxic you spray them on there water-based.

So the neat thing about it is that after you clean the tent, even if it’s damp, you can still spray it on it’ll penetrate they make the tent gear and solar proof in a spray bottle which I like it’s simple. They also make a concentrate and the concentrate. What you do is you mix it up in like a bucket of water and then you can use a brush or a sponge just to put it on to the fabric. The one package supposes you’ll do like a three or four person tent, so I’ll be able to come with this no problem at all.

First thing: you want to do grab a sponge, bring it out. I’ll just do a little area here, wipe off your tent, make sure you get all the dirt off. The tent Nick wax also makes tech wash. If you got like a really filthy tent that you got some sort of emulsion on like a residue oily smoke, whatever try, the tech wash dilute it in the water I’ll wash it and then rinse it down with the holes. So if I do this area here and clean this off like right up in there I’ve done that wipe that down now I can apply the actual Nick wax spray and again super simple to use you just spray it on.

So let me move around a little bit and we’ll get going here. All you have to do is spray this stuff on and you let it sit. It’s set for two minutes on the surface. Now the interesting thing here I can see, see if I can get a closer in here right here. That’s where my waterproofing is failed a bit. So it’s absorbing anymore. So you wait two minutes and then all you have to do is wipe it off. Stuff has a very odd odor, though it’s like a vinegary, strange foreign food, odor or something so.

Okay, we’ll wait our two minutes and then we’ll wipe it off. Okay, it’s been a couple minutes, so you take a damp cloth and when you’re wiping off the excess. What you’re ending up doing, of course, is spreading it evenly and that’s it you’re done you. Let it dry and you’re good to go, couldn’t be much easier than that. But that’s all you need to do damp cloth. You wipe it down and it’s done so could not be easier. It could be easier, but you know it couldn’t be easier. So hey I, hope you get something out of this video.

These Nik Lentz products, again biodegradable non-toxic water-based I’ve used them on everything for boots, two jackets, two backpacks they work great. They work extremely well and no fumes smells a little funky, but no real fumes and you get the job done pretty quick, so there’s they also make washing products for like shells, and they have a fleece washing product. They have down washed, which I’ve used on my dog bags. A bunch of times removes the dirt, doesn’t screw up the down. There’s all kinds of things so check out.

Nick, wax I’ll, put a link there and again Larry G here, I hope you enjoyed this hope. You got something out of it. If you did do me, a favor subscribe tell your friends about it, share the video, but you know if you follow, that would be great and, as always go out, there have some fun of the outdoors and be safe. Well, I had a chance to test the ten out in the rain and check it out. It’s beating up. It’s not often that you just very next day. Actually that night, it started raining after the tent was dry before I got home from being out and I’ve got nice beated up water, so we’re good over there.
