You we’re outside it again look at this weather. How cool is this? It’s beautiful and spring really has sprung with a vengeance. Now it’s awesome and everything is popping up. Carnival birds are singing it’s just so cool to get out of the four walls, and here we are here on YouTube land with another video, and this is my new jacket. Now I can’t wait to show you so many ideas that I plan to use with this jacket, I’m wearing it for a couple of weeks now and just getting the feel of it, you know for everyday use, etc for work for down the city into the woods and I can’t fault it I’m honest, it’s really really cool.

So that’s for every Jew! It’s have a closer look at this awesome deck. Okay. This is going to be a bit of a challenge to film this outside a lot of people. Do reviews like this inside with nice lighting a nice flat surface, but out here in the woods, with the noises and the shadows and light etc and we’re going to try our best right. So, let’s start from this jacket, one of the things I was after wasn’t a windproof jacket, something that was lightweight and when he was out for a walk and whoever was dry and it was really windy.

It actually worked. Okay, now lots of jackets say they windproof. Not all of them are so. We’ve had some real strong high winds here in UK and recently I’ll be wearing it and, to be honest, it’s awesome now I’m not going to lie and tell you that everything is amazing about this jacket. If there’s a few things about it, which are not too happy about I will say so, okay, so one of the good things that I like about this jacket.

Now, let me see these zips all of these lips throughout the whole jacket, they’re, sealed. Okay. So when you are having a bit of a shower or bit of rain, they will not get in front of zips and I. Do like that. Okay, now a lots of them getting equipment have opens it anything I’m, just not a fan of okay, anything made for the outdoors which aren’t have enclose it I, just don’t like at all.

Alright, these ones cool, as you can see now straight away, I thought if you can see that, but inside there it’s going to be a challenge right inside there. Can you see that little X now that can be from anything from a water bladder with your hydration hose? Maybe some calms. If you’re charging up phones for solar power, it’s going to go inside your jacket and go where it needs to okay.

So that’s a nice little touch. Obviously your velcro. You can put insignia or patches on there. Now you can probably see by the outline how much limb you’ve got. This is in the arm, all right, which is awesome because not many pockets. Sorry not really. Jackets have pockets on the arms all right. It’s all reinforced on the forearm there. So, if you’re getting down to business, it’s not going to rip it as easy right factor seems to be the way things are going these days.

That’s a quick, easy fastening. Obviously this is wind proof. So if you want to keep all of the wind out, you tighten it up as much as you can to stop the wind getting in up your arms. Okay, it’s the same old thing. You want to keep your core body temperature constant! You don’t want it cold to be done too hot. So that’s what it’s all about! Speaking of cold and hot, a cool little design about this and yeah lots of jackets have them these days.

But when you get too hot and you on the move, we’ve got for insulation straight to your armpits right now on both arms, obviously, but not so much the arms on the back as well. Can you see there on the lower back? You got print elation there, underneath it’s Mitch I, don’t think you see my hand fooder so yeah if you’re having a sweet time of it, you can prevent your body accordingly, that’s pretty cool and also I’ve checked, and you can fit an ordinary map inside there just an extra way of carrying things, okay, which is really cool, obviously the pockets on the front I’m really liking.

Let me see it some notes in there again, you’ve got the little cross there, so you can put your tube or drink, etc. Now, inside you’ve got some pockets, 9-millimeter pistol magazine, maybe a tactical pen or a torch you’ve got a little clip there for keys or anything, that’s important, maybe something off the compass or whistle something that you really don’t wanna lose out on the felt okay.

It’s good idea to keep this method personally. I’ll use s penis. Let’s not let me down yet okay, so that is the pocket on the front and of course, you’ve got exactly the same here on this side, exactly the same pocket arrangement internally. Alright, it just gives you a bit of a chance to carry stuff in front of you, but then it all getting jumbled up.

If you want your pistol mag, you can get it easy. It’s something to be jumbled up everything else. Ok, so it up front two pockets. They seem to ride quite high, so I think the purpose for that design is, if you’re carrying a weapon or fail order. Your belt will be down there somewhere. So this is a good way to see what better pain, so it’s quite handy having them up there and also it’s quite comfortable to keep your arms we’re hands, set on your chest.

Rather than then we waste the Arias alright. Now most people are right-handed these days, so on the right arm on the forearm. You’ve got another little pocket down there now I’m absolutely loving this, because it just gives you extra room to carry stuff. Okay, obviously, you’ve got the vent underneath there again like we saw earlier I just put my glow-in-the-dark Union Jack on there and, of course you have another pocket on your arm with your little tube there and you can carry drinks or comms try to phone for our phone.

Our order rest of it now, one of the things that I really did set me off about this jacket was the hood now check this out again. This is all waterproof zips. All of the zips, incidentally, have pull tags on them, so it’s nice and easy to undo. Now what I’ve decided to do? It’s distill, some cable ties in it now I wanna do a separate video and about an emergency get out of jail card.

Regarding cable ties. Okay, let me coming real soon, so a good thing, the special things like that in there and your hood is a very generous size as well comes with its own without bro crap and fastening clasp, there I’m sorry about that, Louie’s interrupted there. What was we talking about? Oh yeah, the hood now I think this hood is going to be great for a walk carrier.

You turn this hood inside out and I’m, probably sure you can carry some water in there and I’ve actually put water over this to see the runoff and the a for a light shower is great. It just feeds off like you just waxed a car, you know, but in prolonged rains it’s just going to seep through because this isn’t really a waterproof jacket, but at a pinch you could carry some water or bit a short distance to put out a fire to make a brew, etc.

Now I just love the way they expose away in the hood like that, it’s awesome right turn it over it’s all of that nice soft fleece line. Okay. So it’s not too bad at keeping it a bit warm as well. So it’s one of those jackets which is a bit intermediate all right. It’s not going to protect you like really freezing cold temperatures, and it’s not going to make you actually sweat buckets on a hot day.

It’s right around where ”tis that sits just in the middle. It’s perfect, especially in the UK right now, when weather’s going to change and it’s starting to get me at warmer. It’s not as cold. Something like this with just a t-shirt is perfect. I’ve also been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and I already do like it’s very comfortable too now, as I said earlier, I’m not going to just bang on about how good it is, there’s a few things that I’m not too keen on, but we’re going to talk about now, as I say, better fruit.

Now the hood is great. It is a bit of a large size. Now it’s because it’s a bit on the large side once this collar is folded over. It is quite bulky right, it’s not very flexible when a neck. It does tend to go straight like this all right, so it’s not the most comfortable go around a neck, whether it changes in time. You know we sort grows on it as it were, and it molds to your body in shape and won’t get a bit.

Looser I don’t know, but it’s just one of those things or for wish that the Hat was a little bit smaller, all right, so the in fact I’ve seen my spoke in there. Secondly, the length of the jacket now, as you can see, from the top there, the collar down to the bottom, it’s not very long right now, personally, I’d have been a bit more happier if this were set up three or four inches longer.

It just rides just above the ass, so the ladies are going to like it when the guys word is sorry, but for us guys it’s nice to get to come down just a little bit further. Apart from that, that’s the only things I’m not impressed with everything else is absolutely spot-on. I do love it and again it’s the age of things compromise. You know it might be okay for some, it might not be okay for others, but that’s just my own personal thoughts on it other than actually really cool jacket.

Now, let’s go on to the second part of the video we talked about. What can we put in this jacket.

Hey guys, Dave more idea, more calm talking today about a jacket more specifically this here, Rothko spec, ops jacket, so the down-and-dirty brand is Rothko. The model is the spec ops and you can buy it on Amazon for about $100, so it’s very affordable, it’s along with all of the other jackets out there. So let’s talk about what does it have sizing fit all that good stuff? As you can see, this is the OD green. The OD green color is kind of an off color, but nonetheless it is still green.

The size is extra-large, at least for me now. This jacket does fit to size. So if you’re an extra-large and you like a jacket to fit like an extra-large with a little bit of room to fit a holster, all that good stuff go ahead and get an extra large as a reference, I’m, 5/8 and I weighed 230, and this jacket, as you can tell it’s me pretty well so extra large I’m gonna start at the sleeves to talk about the features here so around the wrist.

We have some velcro, really strong velcro. The velcro attachment here is actually built-in. So is that real thick kind of industrial type of velcro and that’s around two sleeves to adjust them to fit the size down here on a sleeve we have a little pocket. This is where I keep like a chapstick or something moving up. We have a pocket on either side of the arm here, just pull it down, just like that. You can put stuff in it and it even has a little black loop thing here to put an mp3 player and feed your cord up into your ears.

So once again, the other side same thing: open pocket with a little mp3 attachment. Each sleeve has velcro that industrial velcro. So you put your patches here like I. Have cuz I’ve got sage Dynamics American flag in my blood type, the zipper is actually very smooth. Remember you zip it zips right up! There’s no jittering or anything like that in those cheeks that present so I’m Jack is 10 have on the inside. We’ve got a pocket right here.

This is where I keep my tax tip, so I have with me at all times over here. Another pocket same concept, so your main pockets are right here on the sides. These are the pockets that you’re probably going to use the most inside of them. There is elastic loop and net, so you can put in a knife or a flashlight. What have you? It’s got all that in it, as well as a keyring loop, which I don’t really use, but we kind of pull this inside out.

Do you see that there’s some netting you’ve got these elastic loops to put stuff in and that’s on, both sides of this jacket so main pocket right there? As you can see, this jacket does have a hood. The cool thing about this hood is: it is removable and it is stove in this collar compartment here and has a velcro tab to keep it in place when you’re not wearing it. Also, on the back and on the sides of this hood, there are elastic adjustment bands.

What that does is it allows you to adjust at the top of the hood to fit more like a hat, and you can pull the sides tight to allow you to still have peripheral visions even while wearing this hood. So as you can see, the interior lining of this jacket is fleece, which is nice now mind you. This is not a wintertime, parka type jacket, but I will tell you I’ve worn this all winter and I tend to not get cold very easy, and this kept me warm just fine.

The outer layer is that soft shell type of material. It is a little bit squishy, so probably not the best for hunting, but it is water, repellent I, don’t want to say waterproof, because I assume, if you’re in a torrential downpour, there’s going to be a little bit of leakage, but in a basic rain. This keeps the water off of you no problem. So a downfall to this jacket is most likely the hood here, not the hood itself, but the stowable aspect of it.

We all know that most jackets have this collar with a zipper compartment that you can fold the hood up, toss it in there and it out of mind. But since this hood is also fleece-lined and rather thick when it is put into this collar, it’s very bulky. It tends to be a little bit uncomfortable on your neck, so you might want to just remove the collar, remove the hood altogether or just leave the hood hanging in the back like I. Do there are also adjustable elastic straps here in the waistband.

Now, that’s both good and bad. We all know carrying on the hip carrying appendix what-have-you those drawstrings tend to get inside of holsters. So these might be one thing that you cut and just remove from the jacket I haven’t done it just yet. Last but not least, is this back compartment here on either side of the back? There is a zipper which allows you to store hat gloves. What-Have-You. Let me tell you here: I’ve got gloves and a hat, so it’s a really cool pocket like an ass pocket that you can just put wherever you want, and it’s right there easy to grab.

My final thoughts on this jacket are thumbs up. It is warm, but not too warm. There’s water resistant. It’s got pockets everywhere, to put all your gizmos and gadgets and whatnot I like the ass flap, because I can put my hat and my gloves in there and he gets a little bit too cold. The design of the hood is awesome. I do like that and I like that. It is removable because, if I know, I’m not gonna be in inclement weather I can just take it off and be even more comfortable.

The fit of this jacket is to size. So if you wear an extra large get an extra large, if you want your jacket, much much bigger, get a size up, and if you like your jackets, a little bit tighter, get a size down, but for the most part these do fit to size, which is nice, and the zipper is a dual zipper. So you’ve got the top zipper and then obviously your bottom zipper here if you want to flash people or for whatever that’s really for, but it is a smooth zipper and haven’t had any problems with it.

So far. So if you’re looking for a medium warm jacket and you kind of want that tactical look go ahead and check it out, Rothko’s SpecOps softshell jacket, the only thing is the color isn’t an exact we OD green, but I’ve really had no problems with it. Hi I’m proud from my woolen skills today I’m going to talk about this jacket, I’m wearing it’s a Rothko special-ops tactical softshell jacket. It is really nice and I really like it. It’s really soft to wear because of the fleece lining and it’s a hundred percent waterproof due to the polyester shell, it’s equipped with the eight pockets in total and integrated hood here in the color, and the hood is actually one of the only bear things. I have to say about the jacket, as you can see, when I try to close the color is quite difficult due to the big size of the hood and if I’m going to show see it’s a quite big, but you can adjust this here with the pull strings on the sides and that’s also one here in the neck.

The good thing about the hood, though, is that you can take it off like this. Then you can just fold it up, open your poverty on the back and put it inside and now, while I’m on the back here, there’s two zippers on this pocket and the public goes all the way through. So you can get rid of your stuff in here. Your gloves are, or you hurt or anything you close up the color again and now it’s really nice close it all the way up. All a nice detail. It’s a small patch here with Velcro this particular chip and the part of your neck.

When you sip it up, so we won’t bite you anything and won’t be cold young with the time the pockets on the jacket is – on the left side, one on the low arm. You can have small things like your plucks or something and this one a larger pocket on our bomb. You can have an iPhone or some kind of Walkman or something this is equipped with the hole. So you can put the wire from your microphone so or the headphones, so you can hide the other wires inside your jacket.

It is also equipped with the four by four inch velcro patch, where you can put on some of the more I’ll practice your own. Maybe the same goes for the pocket here on the on. The left arm also had the hole for the headphones or microphone or wherever you’re wearing you have to a larger pockets here, which are really deep, go all the way down here and to this side they are equipped with some where’s more details. That’s a two smaller pockets inside where you can have you, the knife or a flashlight like this Phoenix OPP 32, which gives you the option that you don’t need to roam around in the bottom of the jacket, and you have a lot of stuff laying around here.

So you can just place some of the most important items up here, just rather easy to reach it’s also equipped with a smaller d-ring, where you can put a small carabiner with your keys or something and both of the prophets. They identical I, also quit with the with a small hole for your earphones or ie microphone or something inside of the jacket. It’s aligned with the soft fleece and two pockets on the inside and they’re, also identical again they’re, not so big that you can easily carry our wallet or something in the inside here and here you can actually see the wire from a microphone going inside of the hole to the to the transmitter.

The jacket is also equipped with the to elastic bands here on the bottom, which you can cinch down, so you can ensure that they won’t be put in the cold air underneath their jackets and keep your really nice and hot inside the cufflinks are well CRO. Really nice, they don’t come, undone really easy, let some of the other jackets. They have a problem this. This is really nice a rubber top, and then the female part of the UL crew is on the coffin itself.

Size wise. This is a large and I, normally use large in my jackets and so on, and this one fits me perfectly. No problem at all I will normally use this a jacket in the in the late autumn, during winter time and in the early spring.

Welcome to another edition of the camping survival, comm video blog- it’s had a chance to make one, but I just got a new product in today. Actually you put it up on the site. I think it was last week, I ordered one for myself and I’m. A very excited about is this new jacket I think it’s we’re off to -, 98 75 on the website, and it’s about 70 bucks or so take a peek in the website.

Please, but um, it’s just a terrific jacket for several reasons: one! It’s a hundred percent waterproof! It’s nylon and it’s got the fleece lining here and it’s got a hood which is terrific, it’s nice to have that ability to cover your head and say you’re, going out for a day trip or you’re on the soccer field or you’re, going on a serious hike, versatility and options are nice.

Also I need shoulder, there’s a place for a patch you can attach those on each arm shoulder and the left. Sleeve you’ve got a shoulder pocket and a forearm pocket and and the right sleeve you just have a forearm pocket, and this was very cool too, and the back you actually had a socket, a big pocket. You can see the inside right here, so reversible lots of options, and you also have two inside pockets here, which is very cool -.

Some of the options and another thing that I was happy about too, is you know, say you dress properly, think for a legging and you get out in the woods and you start moving around and all the sudden you start getting warm. This jacket actually has a zipper compartment and a zipper rather overreach. Unpack get some ventilation in there. That’s really nice. Other features doesn’t have their little drawstring here around her waist.

It just looks really good too I. Think some of the big real fogs have been put into this thing. Oh and then the wrists here of the sleeves you can cinch it up tightly around your gloves that type of thing that the velcro and that’s rubber, strap nice, durable, strong stretch to looks like there’s, not a piece of fabric, it’s actually rubber, so it’ll last a long time.

Hey everybody how’s it going this a daily shooter and today we’re gonna be softshell jacket if you’ve ever wanted a jacket that did pretty much everything and had more pockets that even suits would have enough gear to fill. This might actually be the jacket for you. Don’t have enough depth to get the entire jacket on camera, so I’ll go ahead and show you guys all the details that I can, while I’m wearing it and then we’ll switch over to the table.

I’ll also roll in some shooting video, so you guys can actually see how the jacket sits and how it wears. But first, let’s go over the features like I said this jacket has a ton of pockets and it really does do everything. Let’s start off with the material. It’s got a really nice like inside soft shell material.

That is completely water resistant. It has a second layer which is a wicking thermal layer, and then it has a nice fleece lining on the inside. So you can see that. Has this really nice fleece lining on the inside? What I’ve noticed about this jacket before we get into the specs I’ll? Tell you that a little bit, how I, like it, I, really like this jacket down to about 38 degrees once you started getting colder towards freezing, you need to start layering up underneath this, but I can actually wear a t-shirt of just maybe just a long-sleeve shirt underneath this jacket down to about 38 degrees and I’m fairly comfortable.

So it’s a warm jacket. The three different layers do help quite a bit now this particular one is in coyote tan. They do sell them in other colors as well. I picked this one off of Amazon and I bought it, for it was about 100 bucks. I think I actually had to pay tax on this, since it shipped from my hometown, but I paid 100 ollars for this and I’m really happy with the money that I’ve invested.

So basically here’s what we have here, starting from the arms and the sleeves up, we have these cuffs, which are a hard material. This is actually kind of like a hard plastic material or a rubberized plastic material. Now I want to say that it’s hard, it’s just it’s not really hard, but it’s not soft. Like actual cloth, okay, so you have this material right here and this will allow you to tighten the cuffs around the jacket.

So, if you’re wearing gloves- or you just want to keep that wind out of your arms, you can really bring this down and because the hook and loop is actually made into the plastic, it’s not going to wear out as fast as some other ones might. Obviously it has that on both arms, as we move up the arm here, you’ll see that there is a pocket on the top of the arm.

This pocket big enough to put in like a wallet if you want maybe a flashlight whatever EDC, you might have, there’s also a spot here where you can put. Maybe your cell phone and run headphone cables up to the top, so it does have a pretty nice pocket right there. As you can see, it also has velcro. So you can add like a morale patch or maybe, if you know you’re in the military or law enforcement.

You know you can add any type of identifying marker that you would need to write here. It also has that on both sides, so velcro on both sides of the arms, and then we have this as a little bit of a kind of like a bungee material right there. Now on the other arm, we have an extra pocket down here, so this extra pocket, which is kind of small, would be nice.

If you need to hide, you know not hide, but if you need to store Bill’s money change, whatever the case might be, you can put some type of small item in there. I think this would be great for maybe a very small notebook and writing utensil or something like that and then moving up the arm. We have the same thing.

We have a zipper pocket right here, also has a spot for a cable to reach up for headphones, so a lot of great features. Now we also have these chest pockets. Okay, these chest pockets are really nice and wide very, very deep, and you can put a ton of stuff in there. You could very easily put a small compact pistol pistol in there.

Maybe something like a an M&P shield, something around that size. It a very nice compact pistol would fit in there. There are also pockets within these pockets and d-rings. So if you need to hang something you don’t want something to get lost, maybe your keys! There’s a d-ring in there also there’s extra pockets of a pens to put flashlights in both sides of these pockets.

Now this actually runs from here, almost all the way down to the bottom of the jacket. So it’s a large area now this does not have standard pockets. If you are the tech person I like to just there put your hands in your pockets, it’s not really going to work for you because obviously they’re up here and you can see I’m kind of chicken winged out in order to get up to them.

So it’s not really a hand, warming pocket whatsoever. Now this does have a hood on it as well. One of the things that I like about this hood is it’s removable. It’s also storable. So if you want to you could take this and I’ll show you you can take the hood and store it in the collar or you can completely take the hood off and not have it.

So it’s a really nice feature. Let’s go to the table. I’ll show you guys the rest. Ok. So here we have our jacket on the table. Like I said this is lined in fleece, so it’s really nice. You can see right here. This is where the actual pockets are. That I was showing you from the outside. This is the actual size of the pockets from the outside.

To the inside has another pocket right here. You can obviously fit a wall at a cellphone. Whatever helps you need to put in there. It has this small pocket on either side, and these are really nicely stitched. Everything is really well reinforced and just a good overall design, so this particular jacket right here you can see it actually has a mesh lining at the bottom.

Now here’s what’s neat about this mesh lining. You can see this mesh lining goes down to this fleece layer. Well, if you take this and you flip it over, this is actually the back of the jacket on the very back of the jacket. There are two more zippers. These zippers lead to a completely hollow section right here between this mesh material and the fleas.

So if you have anything like beanies gloves things like that that you want to keep stored, you don’t have room in the pockets, whatever the case might be any type of soft material, you can just throw this and it’s accessible from either right or left hand, and this is on your back and you know what I haven’t had to use this yet, but I think would be really convenient, especially if you’re going to switch from a beanie to a hat.

Maybe the temperature changes you can throw all that stuff in the back and just kind of keep it out of the way. So you know again a really nice feature now. Another feature is this: now these were kind of I think these aren’t actually actually a great feature what they are zippers underneath your armpits. Ok, so we have the jacket on and you’re wearing it all.

You have to do if it starts to get warm out, but maybe it’s still raining or drizzling. Whatever the case might be, you’re just working really hard and sweating. You could open these up and it will still keep you obviously dry from any moisture that might be falling whatever the case might be, but you have this large opening that will ventilate your arms.

Ok, so you’ll you’ll be able to basically get some air breathing through the jacket and help cool you off and then, when you feel need just zip these right back up and you’re good to go. It has them on both sides. So here you have this. You can ventilate from both sides get some air going through there if you’re just working really hard, you get really hot.

It’s a nice feature and something to have so now we’re going to take a look at the hood. The hood is a nice feature it actually. It’s really well thought-out, believe it or not. So here’s the hood here we have our collar right here. The hood does have a little bit of a visor and they were smart enough to put hook and loop on the tip of the visor so that your hoods not kind of flapping around back here, blowing in the wind getting caught and blown over your head, whatever the case might be, you have that hook and loop push that down, and it holds the whole thing together.

I’ve used this in high winds and it’s it’s fantastic. It just basically keeps this from becoming a parachute. Now, like I said you can take this, you can roll it up. You could put it inside the collar, but you’re, probably not going to do just for the simple fact that well I guess I can, but for the sake of the time of the video, you can see right there that you can fold this into the collar.

The collar does become a little bit thick, in which case it doesn’t fold down. Obviously, at that point the collar stands up. So basically, what I like to do if the weather is really nice I’m, just out going shooting for the day I will just completely remove the hood all together. Now, you know before I show you that I should mention this.

This does have straps on the sides of the hood, so that you can close the face part of the hood and then one of the smartest things ever is because this was kind of a big hood. You put it and it falls over your face and you know how it is when you’re not wearing a hat, and it falls over your face and you can’t see it gets in the way they actually have a bungee in the back right here that you can pull and it will pull the hood back on your head.

So once you pull this back on your head, it’s not going to be in the way of anything anymore and then obviously has a little retention system right here. So you can do that, pull it tight and you’re good to go so a nice feature I, like that. A lot, especially with the rainy season coming up. I think this is something that a lot of people can appreciate.

So just take this lid off set that aside, you have your collar and then the caller does fold down. If you want to now another thing that I like about this is when you bring this all the way up to your neck: okay, when you bring it all the way up to your neck, this doesn’t get in your way at all, because they put this little flap right here.

This flap sits in there and helps protect your neck. So if you’re somebody like me who has a beard and your beard always gets stuck in his zipper stuff right here, they were smart enough to put something right there and it’s that soft fleece material. So when you have this all the way up around your neck, which is something that I’ve actually been doing a lot lately, given the fact that it’s been, you know well below where I, where I live well, below freezing I’ve been using this jacket quite a bit.

It’s got a little bit dirty, but it’s held up really well I, just like having that neck. All the way up, it provides me extra warmth, extra comfort and I’m really happy with the jacket now I know. $100 can be a lot of money for some people, but you know consider it an investment you’re going to have most investments, investments don’t last for very long, but something like this, you put it away for the season.

You bring it back out and you’ll have yourself a jacket for a long time. Bet so I ordered myself a jacket, I’m gonna, open it wearing a pair of spikes. Today, I’m gonna use my Kershaw prior to open up the box, so the main reason why I ordered this jacket is simply because I recently got into owning patches I’ve owned about I hold about. Oh, no, more, almost two dozen, now, probably more and I don’t own in the way of something that I can wear it with my backpack. Nothing I have has velcro on it.

So I, don’t worry hats, so I definitely need something that I can wear well crowing and that’s why I ordered this jacket. This jacket is the rothko soft sell soft soft shell tactical jacket. You can see. I got my velcro on each sleeve I’ll be able to rock my patches, proud, other people that own this jacket are James Jaeger and military arms channel Mac I actually saw Mac wearing this during shot show and I became interested in it.

James Jagger’s video said he got the jacket for $75 I found it on Amazon for 83, plus free shipping, so I picked it up. This is the olive drab cover. I got it in a size, large I, usually rock a 1x. So hopefully large will do me just fine. Those come with a hood, that’s already in the back right here. Another thing that James Yeager said during his review, because Mac I actually haven’t done a review on this jacket.

That I know he’s not a fan of these little pull tabs as far as this elastic string on on the I. Guess: it’s not really the waistband, but the bottom of the jacket. So he says for concealed carrying these things will get you killed, go ahead and leave a comment in the in the video, and let me know if you guys agree with that: I’ve got pockets over here, there’s a little rubber hole in there, so you can actually feed your headphone wire straight through here.

The other invest, pockets, I believe also have that same hole and I actually like the best pockets, because then you can rock it with your hands up on your chest kind of like a North Face, that’s kind of my style right, there’s. Another reason why I like I like this jacket, so the jacket also has basically like an ass pouch, just hanging off your back right here. It’s a through-and-through pocket. You can go all the way through and they said that’s a good place to store your hat there so and the LA people thought the Hat was a little too big.

The hood itself so we’ll see what happens but I’m excited I got a windbreaker, it’s an inside joke. So, as you can see, this joint has the breast pockets up here: no pockets down there. That’s where things jäger complained about this jacket. You would prefer them down here, like I, said I like the North Face style up here also on the inside these pockets, I’m, not sure, if maybe a receipt for the video, but it does have a primary goal.

One-Inch loop pocket right there. So if you’re like a stylist type, flashlight or anything like that, you’ll, like those pen flashlights, you stand that up right in there got one on each side. Each pocket has one. The only other thing that that I did notice. Also is these thieves are very bunchy down here, but that’s typical for me to expect you know I’m fat and short, so I have short arms, so most of my jackets always have much longer sleeves, but you can see here.

It is pretty bulky and then bunches up down here. Um I also did notice this extra pocket down here, which I had to notice earlier. It only has on the left sleeve. Actually, the most interesting part about this was that I notice, if I’m not sure you guys are Mabel to see that, but the actual male part of the velcro right here, it’s not real velcro. It’s kind of plastic II, so I’m interested to see how well that’s gonna hold up over time.

There’s some patches on here got my Maryland DC flag, clocked over gun channels go to websites, they’ve got them in coyote black bunch of different colors. The camel won’t look tight, but this is a little semi-professional. They don’t thing that I noticed about the Rothko jacket itself. As you can see right here, kind of thick. The hood is already in the jacket some of the reviews that I saw people complain about.

They feel like it’s pushing their neck forward. I, don’t get that sensation right now and if anything I like it because it keeps the collar up, so it acts like an extra protection right there added warmth, I’m, not sure if I’m gonna be able to get it this thin. You know back in there I’m guessing because it’s factory packed or whatever once I, take it out and then try to roll it back in I’m, not sure I’m gonna be able to get that tight in there.

So we’ll see how that works out, but yeah. The other complaint that I heard about reviews into the hood is kind of big. It’s not that cold out today. It’s about 50 degrees out here, early February, so there was no need for me if I got the hood, but I am interested to see how easy it gonna be to pack in the hood again. So the jacket says it’s water-resistant, it’s the soft shell material I, like it’s a little thin, not too thick I’ve, seen some other softshell to be a little bit thicker.

So I’m just looking this to hold up well in the rain I’ll, let you guys know in the future. How well that does? It also does have a somewhat thin fleece in liner, it’s not too thick. So it’s not real winter jacket. It’s um that you would probably maybe put over a hoodie but I like it wore to t-shirts today and it kept me warm, but, like I said it wasn’t even that cold today. The only other complaint that I had is that it is made in China.

It’s really the only complaint that I have Oh last thing, something that James Yeager said he noticed there are zippers in the armpits, so you can get clean ventilation in here, I did notice, as I was wearing a t-shirt, a short sleeve a couple times. While I was indoors my the bottom, the bicep would actually touch the zipper and you’re like oh it’s cold, like do. You think, like your armpits were sweating and yeah and I’m gonna drool a sweat coming down your armpits, but no it’s just a zipper.

So that’s really. The only complaint that I have is that it’s made in China and that it has a zippers there that you can actually feel there isn’t a piece of fleece liner, protecting you from feeling that so it’ll kind of catch you off guard every once in a while, but I do like the fact that has a zipper, because when it is hot, you could probably unzip that and even on, like a warm day, cool night get away with wearing this during the day.

So but yeah I, like it like I, said I normally wear 1x t-shirts. This is a large jacket. I like it fits my size, so I’m happy with it. Man and 84 bucks can’t beat it thanks for watching guys.
