It still works it was actually my mom's radio. She gave many years ago. And I've used I actually do listen to the radio quite a bit on Saturday mornings there's an opera program. Ihappen to wake up in time. Ilike to go over to our local classical station. And listen to that opera program. They have. Some neat programs on the radio. Isometimes like to listen to. You so well what kind of radio am. Igoing to replace the. Itook upstairs with uh well I'll get. One close to what I had. And naturally I thought of Crowley. Because Crowley still makes a lot of these cool old style vintage looking products so here. It is the new radio. Ihave to say I'm really pleased with. It I've been using it. Isuppose getting close to a month. And really been very happy with. You turn on the light here so.
You can see a little better beautiful wood details on. This thing as you can see there. And just it's a solid wood cabinet look at. That absolutely gorgeous finish on the thing and. Iwas wondering you know well. It sounds as good it's my old. Imoved upstairs I have to say. Anything this one actually sounds better. And that's it is its just an am/fm radio. And the controls of course are very simple here's. You tune four different stations here's your on. And off in your volume. And then this is to select the am. Or fm you just dial around to hear. Something you like. And stop on it very old-school indeed.
And it's not I have to say I'm thrilled with. Iusually have good luck with Crowley products. Iactually have a lot of Crowley things in the house. Itend to like more vintage looking like tonics. This certainly qualifies here I've never gotten a bad product from Crowley. You know they've been around forever in fact. This radio they were making this a model radio of course the insides are different. Now the electronics are different it's. All outsourced to China. Ibelieve this company has been making radios since the 1930s. And they've been making this cabinet style since the 1930s. Ijust absolutely loved. It sounds so pretty listen good Oh at anyway I'm really thrilled with. It just couldn't be. More pleased I hope it'll give. Many long years of service I'm on my fourth. Or fifth year with the Crowley sort of console style record player CD player. Ireally like but anyway like. Isaid Crowley is a company it's been around for forever done.
Some management changes. And their ownership changes. That stuff that they're still making the thing kind of old school stuff. Ihappen to really love. And originally Crowley was based in Cincinnati it's a Cincinnati company pal Crowley started up Crowley. And became known for all sorts of appliances. And cars now they're probably. Most known for their electronic equipments. Although I think Crowley still makes washers. And dryers that kind of stuff here is the good old ratty of. It my mother had given. Imoved to the upstairs. And as old as it is it's really working haha anyway. Iabsolutely love it looks really cool. And really nice here in my living room well. This isn't my living room actually. This was more like a dining room library area but there. You go that's my thoughts about the Crowley radio. You can get them on Amazon thanks for watching this video I'll see.

Guys welcome back to my channel today I'm here to show kind of reveal. And /um a reveal and review. Irecently purchased a record player. And it's the first record player. That I've ever owned. Ithought I'd share my thoughts with. You guys, so I purchased the Crowley Cruiser three-speed portable turntable. This is the huge box. It came in so here is a V record player. This is the Crowley Cruiser portable record player. And it's set up like a briefcase so. It opens up like so. It opens up like so go. It opens up like so here's like the turntable controls there's the top of. It closes like a briefcase so let. That down for a moment talk a little bit about. And then I'll show you guys. More details mmm I first came across. This record player um shopping in Urban Outfitters. Inoticed they had a record player kind of caught my eye it's very kind of sleek. And styled stylish I don't know. It popped my eye I've been recently shopping for a record player. Ijust wanted to get into listening to vinyl records um growing up my father always had a record player so. He played records you do kind of get used to. That specific role soft vinyl sound it's unique. Idecided to get my own record player. And start collecting records on. Ipersonally have never owned. Or operated a record player.
This is my first and my first go at. Idid want to get something kind of inexpensive. Something I would say is. More like a starter record player just to see. Ireally liked using it. You know felt comfortable with. It before I really shelled out a lot of money on a record player. Iwasn't a hundred percent sure. Iwas going to use regularly um the record player. Ispotted at Urban Outfitters retails for $99. And it's the same one just like. It retails for $99 I kind of eyed. It for a little bit at Urban Outfitters website indicates. This Crowley Cruiser is exclusive to them so. Idid not look for it elsewhere is kind of assumed I'd have to buy.
It from urban I was browsing on Amazon. And then it popped up. That was really exciting to see. Any of Amazon it was a better price. It was about 25% less. Than the Urban Outfitters price which every. It was it's $100 it on Amazon for $75 plus free shipping so. Ikind of thought that was a great value again as a person who's just starting out. And just wanted to kind of try owning a record player. It goes for me so going back to. What I said about the Urban Outfitters item saying it's exclusive to Urban Outfitters. What I did notice is on mine the hardware is silver. Whereas on the Urban Outfitters record player it's like an antique brass, so I'm sure the Urban Outfitters may be the design of.
It is exclusive to them but it's the same record con it's available in a variety of colors. Ichose to go with turquoise with the silver hardware as. You know I love silver hardware so. That was perfect for me. Ireally feel like this is an excellent kind of starter like. Isaid bass a record player Crowley makes. More sophisticated break record players at higher prices so. Iagain again just because I'm just starting out. Ifelt like this hat the way. Ipreviously stated it's shaped like a briefcase. This kind of briefcase buckle here. It opens up like so. This is made out of wood. And like this leather faux leather material speeds. It has three speeds. It also has this head a headphone jack right there so. You can listen to music via your through your headphones there um.
It has volume control. And close and on the back. It has like different jacks as well for uhm power as well as the auxiliary plug. They have a auxiliary plug there which. Ithought was really great. And kind of brings a modern feel to your record player. Because with your auxiliary cord. You can plug in your iPod. Or iPhone and listen to digital music as well which. Ithink is a great feature especially. If you're entertaining and just want to have the ambiance. And look of a record player. You can still play your digital music so. That to be great I mean as a starter as a person who's just starting out. Iof course only own a. Few records so it's great to still be able to listen to my digital music as. Igrow my record collection. One thing I would like to say pros. And cons and talk about like my thoughts about the record player so far I've owned. It for about two weeks. And I've used it regularly.
Iwould say at least every other day. And I'm finding it works out great for me. Imean again I'm a beginner so. Idon't have these high expectations I'm just trying to get accustomed to using and operating a record player. And just again seeing how. It fits into my lifestyle. Something I would continue to use on a regular basis before. Iinvested in a high. You know very you know high-end high quality very expensive record player. Iwas researching this product. Isaw so many terrible reviews about. It like talk basically calling it trash like it's not worth your money. It doesn't work it skips. You know the records skip.
It damages the records it's um the sound is very poor. And by sound I'm guessing their referring to the value um. Because the sound for me again is okay um just terrible reviews on. Iwas really discouraging at first. Because of the stylish look of. It as well as the price. Ikind of wanted to try. Idecided to just purchase. It on my own and go forward. You know for my own opinion on. What I've learned is. Ithink people who reviewed. This item were a little harsh on. It consider the price range. If you're gonna want up a. You know phenomenal record player. You know you have to invest with. Anything if you want a phenomenal camera. You want a phenomenal. Anything especially. It comes to electronics higher quality.
You want a phenomenal television. You have to spend you know so. Ithink people are a little bit harsh as far as judging this item. What it is its an expensive record player. That is its portable so it's intended for use in small areas. Or a small space it's not. You know a huge high-quality record player the sound. Ithink is fair for what it is the volume. Ialso think it's real realistic. What I expected from. It consider the size. And pricing of the product so. Ihonestly have yet across the con. Iam so happy with it for the price range. Idon't know if I'm going to become like a real serious record. You know user record for a vinyl user. And I'm going to want to upgrade eventually. Ican't say but for now. Ido believe I did make a real. You know reasonable choice I'm happy with. It suits my needs for now. And um yeah so, so I'm going to insert a clip of. Me playing a little clip for you as far as music so. You can hear the sound.
And hear the kind of estimate the volume as. You for your for yourself so. Iwill insert a small clip of. Me playing some music on. You can see this baby in action that's my initial thoughts. And kind of review on my record player. Iam loving it so far. You guys enjoyed this kind of tech video again like I'm trying to switch. It up for you guys and put a little variety in there. And get not so much just hair makeup. And fashion but um throw in. Some other things I enjoy which is music so. You enjoyed this video. You found my review helpful. You have any questions as always feel free to comment below please rate comment.

Crosley® Record Storage Crate
Irecently fulfilled my millennial duty. And started buying records right. They live in my sofa I've only had a place to store them. That would be great. You first I need to rip the 2 by 3 so 2 inches wide for. Both end and side pieces I'll rip just the end pieces to one-inch-thick for the side pieces I'll rip them down to 3/8 inches to get three cuts per piece of lumber next I'll cut the 13 by 13 inch phone panels out of ply. This time I start trying to end inside pieces down to size I've set up a scrap piece as a stop block for a quick repeated cuts just to be sure. Idouble-check the measurement of the first cut before cutting the rest. Irepeated the same process for the side pieces cutting 3 at a time to speed things up understand did. Imention I'm making four grades oh let's get to. It first that's a some of the front faces attach the front frame piece to the plywood panel with. Some wood glue amusing tacks to hold down the wood in place until. It dries make sure to wipe off. Any of the glue squeeze out with a damp rag not tacking too close to the edge of the panel to leave space for the bigger nails I'll be using later on I'm marking the vertical members to redrill holes I'll be screwing it to the cross members to hold. All together use the first vertical piece as a sort of template to speed up the process for drilling into the rest of the vertical pieces since the holes weren't drilled perfectly vertical.
It wasn't a perfect match but. It was close enough encounter syncing the holes on. One side so the screw heads will sit beneath the wood surface play. All the pieces out glue up to touching surfaces. And clamp all together don't clap too tightly before double-checking. Everything is in the right spot after. That screw all together noise time for the sides. And bottoms I pre attach. Some nails at this point to make assembly easier later on set up the front. And back faces with their bottoms facing upward. One hard hit from the nail. We already put in helps lock. It in place repeat for the three other corners leaving just. One nail in per corner make sure. Everything is squared up by verifying.
That the diagonal measurement is equal dr. Another nail into each corner to lock. All in place turn all on to its side. And attach another side piece along the edge furthest from the kraits bottom attach. Another side piece to the opposite edge make sure to line up. This piece on the right spot. It helpless look at these centerpieces using their edge instead of their center points plot. Ihave the piece it should be knocked. It in place readjust the other side. And then drive all the nails in repeat. This process for the rest of the side pieces let. And you're all done. These crates will be a huge help to organize. And store our records but. Ibuilt four for a reason. And it's not I plan to fill them. All up not saying I won't.
