And yes, I have another unboxing. This is a product from JBL is called the flip, for it is a portable Bluetooth speaker and what I really liked about this Bluetooth speaker in particular, is the colors that it comes in. It comes with a different. You know various colors, but I really love this teal. It’s a really nice color for the summer time go ahead and put the Box like. So we can look at the front, so it says portable bluetooth, speaker, let’s see on this side of the Box, you see all-purpose all-weather, companion, portable bluetooth, speaker comes with a connect app, so you can control different aspects of the speaker using an app on your smartphone, and it looks like you can kind of daisy chain these together, wirelessly JBL connects you can wirelessly link.

It says a hundred-plus JBL connect compatible speakers together. So you can connect a whole bunch of these speakers together in order to get you know better sound, but our volume good for a party put one of these in each room. You can link them together and have each ring playing the same song kind of a cool thing. I, don’t know how many people actually use that feature, but it’s cool to have so want to open this box. I, don’t see my knife, but I always have handy a PCI slot cover peel it off there and peel that here.

Okay, with the tape off I can now pull this out. Oh, what a cool box look at that folks, that’s cool, so it shows some some Millennials partying I really don’t know their age, but it looks like they’re, probably Millennials, and look at his boxing. This is really cool, so this pulls out and there’s the speaker itself and I’m just going to put that aside for just a moment and inside this we have what exactly just open this up, really interesting packaging. You can see it’s just flipped forward.

There’s like this. It’s matte black and there’s a shiny black squiggles interesting inside I can pull this out. There we go. This box is now empty inside. We have the manual okay and this three booklets. So one has an exclamation point on it, and this is important safety instruction. So we’re not going to read that we have here a warranty card which not going to read that either we have a flip for a booklet with a quick guide that shows you how to pair them, how to pair them with the JBL connect.

What the different features are a nice little quick guide here looks like there should be a cable. Ah yes, so if you look at the top of the box, this pulls out to a separate box. Oh wow, this is cool, so it’s a microUSB cable, but look at the cool orange color. Isn’t that cool I love bright fun colors, especially for something for the summertime. That is really cool. Alright. So let’s look at the actual speaker now so the speaker, oh, it even comes with a cool little lanyard.

This is so cool. Awesome. Look at that folks that is so cool, so it comes with, and the orange matches kind of the JBL it’s a little bit different shade, but it kind of matches there. So this is like it’s not waterproof, meaning that you want to dunk it in a pool, but it’s kind of like splash proof. Then it’s good for you know getting dings and things like that. So this you could bring to the beach we could bring this to the to your pool for, like a party. Jbl is known for great sound.

If you can see there’s speakers on both sides for a good stereo separation. Let’s look at the top, so there’s a power button. The JBL connects button. This says flip form guessing this is the power connector which is protected. Here we go yep, so we have the power connector here, I apologize, my neighbors are riding dirt bikes, I, don’t know if you can hear that in the video there’s three there’s the three-and-a-half millimeter audio connector. So if you do want to connect a device that doesn’t have Bluetooth, you can connect that here and again you can charge it with microUSB.

There’s some nice buttons on here. So there’s a bluetooth, pairing button volume up and down in a play button which I’m going to guess also doubles as bluetooth for I’m. Sorry I’ve got a doubles for pausing, so an exclamation on that side and the JBL logo on that side. So I’m not sure if it has power from the factory, but let’s give it a go. Yes, it does and it makes a cool noise starts up, ooh, okay, so I guess that means that it’s ready to pair- and if you don’t like this lanyard, it’s easy to come off.

You can see here it’s easy to pull off or if you want to replace it with a different lanyard. That’s that’s pretty neat, so you can kind of put this around your wrist. So if you were like walking with it, you don’t you’ll have to worry about dropping it or you can just kind of let it dangle from your hands. So I’m going to give this a good testing for review. Listen to some, my favorite tunes outside and inside both I’m using this JBL flip 4. So if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below, unfortunately, I don’t have a second one of these to test the Kinect feature, but boy, oh boy, what a well-designed speaker I really like it and I love the color and I, particularly like I, like one accompany.

If you look here, they even put JBL branding on the cable I like when a company puts a little thought into cables because look a micro, USB cable is like a dime-a-dozen right. They could probably get you know some mass-produced, cable from China no-name brand black cable. Instead they’ve decided to go with a really nice flat, orange cable with the JBL branding, so they actually spend some money on this cable. And you don’t even see this cable when you’re, you know before you buy it, you only see it after you open the box.

Oh, it shows that JBL cares about the presentation and their products. I. Think that’s really neat! So I’m. Looking forward to testing this after beta news com could, like I, said, listen to some, my favorite songs, both outside and inside, but really outside. Is me my big focus, because this is designed to be an outside speaker and since we’re almost at the summer time we’re almost there. This is going to be probably my go-to for when I have a Barbara to when I’m having some people over.

Just you know, relaxing even if I just want to know sit by myself outside and listen to some Neil Young in a hammock or something this will be my speaker. Now I personally wasn’t going to get this speaker because there’s something about it that I don’t like and we’ll talk about that in a minute, but my dude Matteo from the notification squad hit me up and asked me to check this out so Matteo.

This is for you now you can buy this from Amazon I’ll put a link up in the description, the price 100 bucks. Actually, let’s go through some of the features: real, quick. You get 12 hours of battery life. Now two speakers ipx7 waterproof. Now that’s a major change from last year’s JBL flip 3. This one wasn’t able to submerge. Now you could submerge the speaker up to 3 feet. You’ve got JBL connect plus now that’s the main thing about this speaker that I don’t like.

Now. If you remember on the JBL flip 3, you got JBL connect. So what JBL connect? Is you compare to speak up to your JBL charge with JBL Xtreme, any other JBL speaker that has JBL connect, but now, with the flip, for you got JBL connect plus now that’s a little bit better because, instead of being able to connect to just one of the speaker now you can connect up to a hundred speakers, but the main problem is you can’t connect to the older speakers alright, so this is for moving forward.

So now all of the new JBL speakers are going to feature JBL connect plus and you can connect 100. But if you already got a flip 3, you already got a charge 3 and the JBL extreme. You won’t be able to connect them to your JBL, flip 4. So that’s the main thing about this speaker that I don’t like. You also got a speaker phone for hands-free calling alright. So let me grab a little unboxing knife and we’ll pop this open.

Now, Matteo I’ll sell this to you right now for 80 bucks. I will talk about that on Instagram there we go beautiful presentation, I got to give them that! Ok, let’s see. Oh, this is nice. Little uh looks like a little play button. Let’s see. I like this little uh blue case right there, that’s nice got another little pouch on the side. Let’s see, what’s this all right, here’s your micro, USB charging, cable! Now one thing I do like about the JBL cables. These are the tangle free versions and they usually come in this bright orange color. That’s pretty dope and here’s your speaker. Okay, nice weight to this lets see pretty much okay, a little bit bigger a little bit taller than the flip three, but other than that they pretty much look identical, got a nice carrying, strap right here.

You take this on and off here’s your power button. You got five LEDs use your JBL connect plus button little flip floor flat flip for flat. Here’s your three point: five millimeter auxiliary input for non bluetooth devices. Is your micro USB charging slot? Okay, on the front you got play, is your volume up and down, and your Bluetooth connect button? Okay same little, flexible! Oh, what’s this another little play on the side now that that’s another little difference instead of maximum JBL Brandon, you have JBL Brandon on one side and you got your little play button on the other side.

So that’s pretty much it. So let me grab a phone will pair this up and we see how it sounds. Talk amongst ourselves, alright, Josh, we’ll be back in now. The first thing you’re going to want to do is download the JBL connect app now from the app you’re going to have a few options. Now, if you happen to have 100 JBL speakers that feature JBL, connect, plus you’d hit party mode and that’s how you pair them up now, if you’ve got two JBL flip fours, you could connect them to left and right step real channels.

Now you also have the option to change the functionality of your play button, so you can have it with the standard play and pause or you can have to control your voice assistant. That’s your Siri and your Google now alright! So let’s try that out so we’re going to hit the play button. What time is it? The prom is 10:13 p m? Okay, so it works, so that’s pretty much it for the app now for the most important part, the sound test.

So let’s try some music here we go [Laughter], [Laughter], ah all right on a scale of one to ten. This is a go now. The speaker really does sound great for speaker this size, it’s nice and loud has a lot of bass and it sounds clean, nice and clear. Now. You’ve got the fact that this is 100% water resistant. So you could drop this in the pool. It doesn’t float, though, so keep that in mind three feet worth of water: you’re good, but it’s not going to float.

So if this falls to the bottom of the pool, you better know how to swim. Now, let’s do a little water test and see how it sounds after we drag it out of the water and I’ll do a little test on the speakerphone. Let me grab some water alright. So before we drop it in the water, let’s test the speakerphone, let’s make a quick test, call hit the dine up rock yeah. Let me ask a question: you guys make fresh lobster live.

Lobster yeah, no Lobster I will talk with time, you’re close tonight, 24 hours, 20 pounds. You can hear me fine, sorry I say: can you hear me fine on this phone yeah yeah? Okay, no problem! Alright! I’ll! Be there later on I I, later I know first Lobster at the diner. That’s the first thing that came to my mind, all right, all right! All right. There goes now. Look if you notice it doesn’t flow. So you see a sink right to the bottom of the bowl. Let’s play some music. Now, while it’s underwater see how it sounds, this is going to be how it sounds at your beach party, I, fully submerged the water to that I keep hitting the Siri button. All right! That’s one thing you might want to disconnect that Siri, but it actually sounds good underwater.

Oh, this is not alright. Now this exit out, it is the only thing that I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t float so that’s kind of that’s kind of a downer, because if you had a public pool you’re not going to want to be going to the bottom of that pool now for in your bathtub in your house or in your private pool, you’re good to go, but they should have made it be able to float now. Maybe you could buy.

One of these are silicone sleeves. They have the floaters on it and you’re good to go, but overall, on a scale of 1 to 10. This speaker is a definite go, but if you already got the flip 3 and you got a charge 3 and the JBL extreme, it’s not worth it because you’re not going to be able to pair the speakers up together. Now, if you just start on your JBL eco system, then you want to get the flip for and start buying.

The speaker’s from now on that have JBL, plus I saw Matteo like I said this. Video specifically for you, I, sell it to you right now for 80 bucks, otherwise, I’ll keep it because it does sound pretty good. This is. This is actually a perfect speaker for a maybe a one-on-one card game. Take it to work, you know little mini gatherings. This is not a big party speaker, but it’ll get the job done for a nice small environment, especially at work, or especially with your little one-on-one companion in your late night, clandestine rendezvous now anyway, and all y’all catch on a notification squad.

Hey everyone Jimmy would Jim’s review room I’m, seeing your comments asked me to review the flip for all over my previous videos and I appreciate that you guys keep doing that. You definitely got my attention on this one. The Flip series makes a return in other way. Looking nearly the same, nearly everything has been improved, I personally paid for this at the retail price of one hundred dollars and as always, I’ll place. My Amazon affiliate links in the video description below click on my link and they’ll, give you the most updated prices in real time.

You never know when you might see these things go on sale, so without further adieu. My channels here to help you make a purchase decision, welcome everyone to jim’s over the physical features. First, the flip 4 is ever so slightly bigger and ever so slightly heavier. But despite the minor increase, a foot 4 is still very portable, very compact for most people’s needs. The nylon fabric makes a return offering a very rugged experience and with this year’s model, it’s not just splash proof but JBL finally, caught up with the competition, and it is now fully submersible in water.

With the flip force, ipx7 rating, it can’t go under water up to one meter or 3 3 feet for those on the imperial system and for up to 30 minutes. As a side note, the speaker does not float, which is quite a letdown. You eaten fugu. Speakers actually floats if you ever drop them off the boat or into the pool. Now, looking at the buttons there’s bluetooth pairing on the far left, volume up and down and to the far right is pause and play, or if you use the app to change it, you can have the same button to call up Siri or your Google assistant.

Besides those options, you can answer phone calls with that little triangle and with my testing. Unfortunately, it sounded quite bad standing at just two feet away from the speaker. My voice was audible, but it had slight brass penis and on the other end they were able to tell that was clearly on a speaker phone at four feet away, which is very reasonable. Here speaking naturally, my voice sounded very raspy. Then there was an echo similar to me speaking while I was in the bathroom and I sounded much much further away, that it was somewhat annoying for the person and the other end now finishing up these buttons there’s power up top with five white LEDs to indicate better in life.

My battery test will come shortly here. So just hang on tight. There is a JBL connect, plus button and I want to emphasize the plus. In the name with last year’s speakers, they also had JBL connect, but you were only able to pair those speakers with one other JBL connect speaker with the plus versions here, you’re now not limited to just two, but you can connect over a hundred of these speakers all at the same time, and all of them would play in sync, that’s perfect for those trying to fill up a room.

The only problem, though, and seriously I’m personally bummed out about this as I know many of you already purchased a JBL charge 3 or maybe the JBL Xtreme, the Plus version, don’t even pair with last year’s model. The flip floor cannot pair with any other speaker unless it’s another flip for or until JBL releases new models later this year and maybe into the future. Then you can mix and match, and sync two speakers or more together. So just a heads up on that now.

Moving on under that field, flap there’s an axillary port for physical connections and right next to that is the microUSB port for charging the device. It was my testing at 50% volume, the same volume level on every one of my speaker, tests for the last three years, or so after 14 hours of playback that the maximum went here. It still had 50% battery life remaining. That’s phenomenal now ran this a second time this time at maximum volume, and they speaker lasted exactly four hours and a speaker also does slightly warm up at higher vines, but didn’t notice anything hazardous about it.

That, last but not least, your signal strength on this and being frank, Bluetooth technology is nearly perfect. These days, I walked through the entire house here upstairs and had the signal go through. Several walls and the flip floor never cut out or skimp on a signal strength, so – the moment that you’ve been waiting for hear the sound test. I played several tracks for you guys and then I’ll give you my verdict. F words: whatever that’s also misery, it’s no mystery and you and I with a history day.

Whatever left ghosting is also tragedy. When we aim to be you and actually by history, hey I’m, sorry, are you talking in code? No reason why you got me on hold on me, but I knew something was ignited when you left I wanna go all I wanna do is get to tell you he’s to work to taunt us alcohol, you but I did to mention you get the credit. Are you Renee and there you have it folks, keep in mind audio recorded on my end and then play through your speakers are not the best depiction of audio quality.

But it’s my review here, keep in mind the flip floor does fall into these small speaker category. It’s not meant for big rooms, but this little thing can for sure fill up small, better of the dorm rooms and at full volume it can fill a medium-sized room quite well, the large open room. Surprisingly, it does not sound tiny at all, and it is still very much enjoyable for personal listening now for entertaining. Of course, sound will be slightly suppressed.

I would then recommend a medium sized or, of course, the larger size. Speakers at your disposal. I have fifty to sixty percent in volume, which is a comfortable listening. It’s full of bass that is not distorted or raspy at a very punchy character that I absolutely love and we return it up to maximum bottom base levels stay the same, but the mid-range in highs are now further emphasised. The mid-range is clear, very distinguishable, especially at high volumes, which is great, and the mid-range of vocals and instruments are pushed forward.

But despite being forward, the small speaker still lacks detail or resolution, but again it is small and the price is only $100. I can expect it to perform. Like a 200, $300 speaker out there assumption, based on the high frequencies, snare drums and cymbal crashes are two of the main instruments you will find here: they’re, not raspy or tin ii, at comfortable listening, but at maximum volume you do lose resolution or details at the very top and the high frequencies do slightly jumble a bit now for the average consumer.

You’ll most likely won’t notice this, the average consumer that are more articulate you might be able to tell, but again, for the $100 price range. This speakers overall performance is still phenomenal. Now, as for a soundstage like most Bluetooth speakers out, there there’s hardly any audio separation unless you go the JBL connect plus route. So in conclusion, here the only downfall a grep is the lack support for existing JBL speaker owners, basically not being able to pair.

This would be new foot for now. Maybe there’s a firmware update that could come down road, maybe not we’ll just have to wait and see now for those looking for a rugged bluetooth, speaker. The flip floor is rugged though, but keep in mind. It does not float when you compare it to some of the competition out there. It is somewhat of a letdown if you do drop us into the lake and you’re unable to see where it fell or, if you’re unable to dive and get it, it’s basically gone forever.

On the other hand, though, how loud this thing gets the amount of baseless offers, and indeed the future speakers that can connect using the JBL connect plus feature that foot 4 is still a great speaker to buy I, do highly highly highly recommend it the audio performance alone, something better than most other small bluetooth speakers on the market, in my opinion, so that’s it for this review be sure to like and subscribe to help support my work here.

Right there welcome back to another in-depth review from OCD review today, we’re going to be taking a look at the JBL look for JBL flip fours. First appearance was on 2017 CES and now it’s available in the market. The fourth generation is a little bit bigger than the flip 3. The base radiators are a little bit different from the previous generation and now have a smooth plastic.

Carbon fiber. Look to it. The new body design does not allow the speaker to roll as easy. As this flip 3 dessaline an improvement. The speaker has 2 8 watt 14 millimeter driver ranging from 70 Hertz to 20 000 Hertz, compared with a low-end 85 Hertz from previous generation. This actually produced a deeper and more punchy ER bass. Well, since you’re watching OCD review, I still have to get my pros and cons as usual.

Let’s start with a bet, the speaker suffers a little bit higher volume. What that means is a higher volume. The treble is actually pretty harsh as a little bit of a year. Piercing sound to it put on a pair of socks or some sort of cloth can definitely help the treble distortion at higher volume. The foot for uses the JBL connects plus, which is different from the JBL connect it promised to connect hundred-plus devices, but unfortunately this doesn’t work with extreme charge.

3 and all the previous generation I hope JBL relieves a firm update for all the older speakers, so that JBL can that cloth will work for all generations. Now, let’s talk about pros the JBL flip 4 is the first full waterproof speaker from the previous flip models. Unfortunately, the speaker does not float on top of water, so don’t drop the speaker into a lake or ocean somewhere.

You cannot dive and pick it up. I assume the back air pool will be fine with the same 3000 milliamp batteries, the JBL promises 12 hours of play time on it, volume I was able to get around 10 to 11 hours. I. Think four decides the battery life is outstanding. The bass is more present than previous generation for something too small I’m actually really happy with the mountain bass.

This thing, pumps, the Bluetooth connection, latency, is not noticeable at all watching movies, YouTube and videos won’t be a problem for this speaker. Alright guys. Here’s some sample from the JBL flip 4 enjoy well all in all I’m, actually really happy with a JBL float for as long as you don’t use the speaker, a higher volume. This actually produce a very clear and rich sound experience and share for a small size.

Speaker don’t expect this thing to shake the floor or anything like that, but please in a corner or a bathroom somewhere echoes, you can actually experience more bass coming out of the little can so for the size. I think is a wonderful little speaker for a dorm room or a bathroom and I’ll definitely recommend this one. So you know, let’s turn these bad boys on and pair these up and see how it really is so we’re gonna click on the app turn.

The speakers on that sounds. That sounds really awesome. Okay, so so here we have they. They. It comes of different kind of speakers. We’ve got they flip for they charge free, they fuse t extreme and flip free. So that’s all the speakers. As JBL’s and mates we’ve got the flip 4, so we’re gonna click on the flip, for and as you can see, we have types of mortgages or a mode, stereo mode or voice.

A stick assist so we’re gonna go. Try not bleed to. If we’re gonna turn on the bleach. You from here turn the Bluetooth on so see for this pairs up. So the JBL speakers are currently on at the moment. So, let’s just see so I’m gonna press the Bluetooth button Bluetooth, let’s see no ago, it appears there. It appears the JBL flip for speaker, so we’re gonna click on that see see if it airs up speed up speed up.
