We’re looking at the women’s that’s the life jacket by silk West. This is a US Coast Guard approved for life, jacket that is slim and comfortable and can be used either kayaking or sailing. It’s a front zipper entry that makes putting it on nice and easy it buckles here in the front and then just at the shoulders actually has eight adjustment points, including this diagonal, one on the side right there that helps, keep it from riding up. It has a nice narrow back to increase your range of motion, which is useful both in sailing and kayaking.

There’s this nice lash tab right here. An attachment point to secure items got two big pockets in the front that zipper shut, which is pretty nice, and you also have these two side: pockets that are fleece lined for your hands. So quest has a trademark rapture, which is preformed foam to help the lifejacket feel broken in right. When you get it, there’s a shelf for the bus cut into the foam on the inside, which you can see there. There’s nice ventilated mesh here on the shoulders to enhance comfort.

This is a great life jacket, that’s economic and made for women there’s silk with Betsy available at West Coast sailing thanks for tuning in.

This is Ryan my body’s tokus water, we’re talking about the new escape PFDs. We do have men’s and women’s specific model this year updated graphics, pockets. We also introduced paraded sizing into this piece, so the differences between the you know- women’s small and large sizes, as well as men’s, drastically change, much better fitting piece that, in the past, women’s have a cup on the inside as well. We also have a youth two in two sizes of fifteen and ninety youth size and a 75 to 125 pound youth size that really fills that void between the youth.

That’s too big for a youth vest but too small for adults small. So this is a nice fit for teens and tweens and it was hard to fit kind of Inbetweeners retail. On the adult escapes, it’s gonna be 69, 95, 59 95 for the youth sizes, and these will all be available. It’s like January, 1 2017. You.

This is the Stoll quest Betsy PFD, for women. This is a Coast Guard approved lifejacket and is especially cut for women. They’ve moved a lot of the flotation down here to the stomach and they’ve, been able to leave the chest really slim, which really helps these also sink kind of out the way. So you’ve got a lot of room to move the shoulders adjustable straps here.

What they’ve done on the side is kind of a crossbody tightening system, so, instead of just down here, they snug up all the way here. It kind of brings the whole thing more form-fitting to your body. We’ve got two zipper pockets here, a lot of storage there. Some adjustment points attachment points. Extra fleece lined pockets on the inside here, which is really nice, and if we just take this off front, zip close your buckle at the bottom.

What’s really nice is this little meshed panel here it’s pretty spongy if you can see it, so that makes it a really comfortable when you’re sitting on your back. This is the Stoll quest, Betsy PFD for women.

Hello, everyone Carlos here with Austin kayak and today I’m here to talk to you about PF, decent lifejackets. Specifically, this one is the NRS Chinook. The Chinook is one of our best-selling jackets out there in the market, it’s being out there for years and and and people love it. The reason why I like this one is specifically, it is because it not only keeps you safe on the water, but it also serves as an extension of your cockpit it.

It is loaded with features. It’s got two large compartments, you can have your pliers, have them very close to you, a knife, and it is extremely comfortable. We consider this. This is called a high pack life jacket. The reason for that is because, basically, the top half of the jacket has application device over the foot. The foam, as you can tell the bottom, doesn’t have it so whenever you lean back lers on the seat, it’s not pushing you forward, it’s just it’s a better fit against your back and then you know it also have some mesh which allows you back to breathe a little again.

We really like this PFD and if you have any questions, please visit us at ACK, calm and let us outfit your adventure don’t forget to share like and comment below and subscribe to our newsletter for all things. Kayak fishing. You.

Creating videos in order to be able to teach the world to fish the newly redesigned NRS Chinook is one of the most comfortable PFDs I’ve, ever worn with the plush padding and the contours of the vest. It makes it very comfortable and very easy to wear all day long. One of the things I love about the NRS Chinook are the pockets places to put everything that you need to get to quickly, while you’re on the water, with a high mesh bag and all the adjustments as the Chinook is very comfortable.

Even in the hottest of days. The NRS renewed with its safety and design, allows me to fish without worried and comfortably throughout the entire day.

Hey guys Robert field here from NRS fishing and I want to talk to you today about my favorite PFD that I, you never see me on the water without it. This is this chinook one of the best-selling PFDs that I know of packed full of fishing features features are going to help you catch more fish. It’s also newly revamped. So right here, we’ve got new pocket configurations. These are gonna actually, once you open them hold themselves up right. So, if you’re working on rearing a lure or retie inline, anything like that put a new leader on this will kind of support that you can set stuff on it as you’re kind of working two large pockets here, they’ve got pockets inside the pockets, lots of lash tabs d-rings all around here, so you can really leash a bunch of gear.

To this, you got everything handy everything right where you need it. When you need it, when you got that fish next to the boat, you don’t have time to be fumbling around for your tools. It’s a high back a mesh back, so it’s gonna be comfortable. Even with these kind of lawn chair style seats on these fishing kayaks is gonna sit up above your seat. So it’s not going to be pushing you forward. Making you uncomfortable tons of adjustment points. It really kind of fits form fits the body it’s made of multiple panel, so it really kind of moves with you.

Stevan got an integrated rod holder here. This will hold the tip of your rod and there’s a loop down here at the bottom, where you put the butt of the rod in so you can kind of hold that rod here and then be hands-free. While you retile lure on the water super convenient supers, it’s going to keep you safe. Keep you everything! You need right there. Whenever you need it, you can learn more and you can shop right now at interests, com.

Now and this uh chinook pfd by nrs is awesome um. This is the second time I’ve used it and yeah. I just wanted to go through some of the features on it and all the gear I have in it. This thing just looks: awesome looks uh. It looks great when it’s on you um, just the the design the fit and finish of it. It’s super well done that. Also, I think, helps with with catching fish is just looking awesome.

Let’s take a look at the features on this uh pfd and then we’ll go ahead and look at all the gear. This thing is super comfortable, so the chinook is the half bath um. The mrs has another one. That’s uh, that’s a full back, but I like this because I’m I’m sitting in a kayak, usually um, and so I want I want more kind of. I don’t want to like a bunch of bulk in my lower back um this webbing, this mesh is it’s breathable.

It’s super easy to adjust when you get it on you, um just kind of loosen up the straps, get it on easy to pull and uh and tighten it loop right here, which I have not used yet, and then it’s got these big straps up here, really easy to just kind of loosen up when you get it on you just pull these down until it’s nice and snug zipper on it is big and beefy. So really it doesn’t snag.

It’s easy to undo pretty adjustable pretty lightweight. It’s got a strap up here. Your fishing pole attachment here for a knife I’ll go through gear in a minute. It’s got these little attachment points all over the place, so you can attach lanyards or different kinds of gear. You’ve got two main pockets. This one has a full pocket. This one has two pouches on the front: each of the big pockets they’ve got two zippers um, with these kind of almost vinyl feeling or rubber feeling attachments on the zippers, so really easy to grab seems super durable.

All right. Let’s look at the gear first thing I got for this was the niko knife, also by nrs, which attaches to this knife attachment point up here: um when you have this on you, it’s really easy to just reach up and pull this down with one hand um, but I not so I’m gonna pull it with both hands. I really don’t recommend doing this because um you could pretty easily like slice your hand if you slip so be very, very careful.

If you do this, so the knife has a bottle opener on it has a place for a lanyard. They have a blunt tip and then a pointed tip. I went for the pointed tip because I’m pretty much just in still water in lakes and stuff, so not too much risk of of dropping the knife and and popping my inflatable boat. That being said, who knows, I might be updating this video later and and eating those words.

One side of it is um blunt, the others got a sharp edge and a serrated edge, and it just attaches in with uh tension on the sheath for the tool pocket. I picked up a um, some fishing pliers by pissafun um. They, these are on amazon, for about 20 bucks or something uh pretty highly rated. It comes with lanyard, so I attached it to the bottom. Here. It’s got a little sharp edge for cutting line, an area for crimping things.

This uh edge for opening up rings fits into this pocket here it seems so this pockets a little interesting, because this loop has a lot of there’s a lot of like play in here, and so when I’m actually, when. If I have this on and I’m standing and I’m bending over, these will come. These will kind of ride up quite a bit. Um I’ve never had them pop out, but it will. It will ride up a bit now when I’m actually in my kayak and I’m seated and I’m paddling um, I’m casting stuff like that.

No problems, these just say these stay seated, so maybe that’s by design at first. I thought it was a little weird that it was up here, but um yeah, maybe it’s by design. It seems to be working all right now: let’s take a look at the pockets personal gear, and then maybe this has fishing gear. So in here is where I would I’ve got another pocket in here where it has a loop to attach to something um, and so I would put in like my wallet, maybe my phone, while I’m out in the water insect repellent some sunscreen, some carmex chapstick and a fisher space pen, because these things are awesome and will pretty much right in any conditions and then on this side, boat whistle, if I ever needed it alexa gear again, this was on amazon.

It’s super loud, I’m not going to demonstrate it right now. It comes with a big lanyard. So when I just keep a bit lighter and then here got some soft plastic, some rubble worms, some senkos power bait, some hand sanitizer and then a couple fish sticks, which I can’t wait until I accidentally think these are chapstick one day, um and then yeah. It’s got two pockets right here and some more loops.

If you wanted to attach some more um some more gear but um yeah tons of uh compartments tons of space on here and it’s uh, it’s pretty pretty convenient where everything is placed. So when it’s on you, it’s really easy to open these pockets and and work within this work. Through this space I went with the uh extra small or the excess medium, so this was the smallest one.

They have the next one is large, and then they have an extra large, I’m 5, 8 180, so yeah. This fits me very well, but yeah highly recommend this thing.

On today’s review, I’ll be checking out the NRS Chinook personal flotation device, see I just purchased this from Savannah canoe and kayak I like about this one is the multiple pockets, eight pockets up, throw it yep plenty of room, another zip, identical pocket there, smaller pockets up front on that side, places where you can put your tools slide a pocket knife through there, pull that off and put a patch and even came with a patch where you can put your fly this your five fishing very breathable.

It’s got a high VAT, which is good for kayaking. My old life jacket came down to here and it would sit on the back of the kayak seat. Nrs logo place to hang it up at orange and gray, looks really good. She’s got the hive is tape right. There, reflective tape got three straps on each side and it’s a really good life jacket very good for kayaking I would recommend picking up one thanks and please subscribe. You.

I’m David fight with NRS I just wanted to kind of walk you through our fishing category. We have some awesome revisions coming in for 2019 just note. A lot of this stuff will be available early 2019 for all of you to look at and consider so. The first thing we’ve had a lot of great success with our snook PFD.

This is our fishing lifejacket mesh back platform. Awesome construction super comfortable, we’re out on the water. So what we did differently is we’re using a multiple layer, foam platform. Now so now the the PFD really wraps around your body shape it’s lower profile. It’s gonna be super comfortable, we’re out on the water, along with that we kind of adjusted a few of the pockets and configuration of the jacket.

So how I describe the Chinook is a wearable tackle box you’re gonna be able to carry your go-to pieces of gear on your body versus stored away in your boat. Awesome, double pull zippers now on the pockets, and we have extra storage opportunities on the inside. We have a designated pliers spot now and it still has the integrated rod holder, built into that.

A lot of people miss this feature of the Chinook. So when you’re standing up in sight, fishing pitching flipping – uh excuse me embedded fish. Stick the butt of the rod right here, go up and lash it down with this velcro tab, and now you can go hands-free and retie if you need to for 2019 we’re gonna have three colors, a gray which is more of a neutral color.

We’re gonna have a green, which is more of like a natural color and then a nice safety-oriented color, which is gonna, be red for us moving forward, Chinook so popular, we had a lot of lady anglers, one an option for a fishing PFD. So now we’re gonna come out with the chinook women’s specific mesh back platform, fishing lifejacket moving down the way here.

Another PFD interest has always been asked to manufacture, is a horse-collar inflatable lifejacket, so we’re gonna have the mattock, which is a manual inflation PFD, and then we’re gonna have the automatic, which is a self inflating PFD. If you end up in the water as a dissolvable disc, it’s gonna inflate, but the coolest thing with this is sit so flat.

It’s gonna sit on your body. The inflation chamber is just this pouch, so when you inflate it and you roll it back up or fold it back up, you don’t have anything to mess with no instructions. It’s just easy fold that right back up awesome reflective on the inside here nice comfortable option for more warmer conditions, places that you wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing an actual, inherently buoyant PFD.

That gives you an option to be safe out on the water. We have the raku, which is based off this same layout as the Chinook, but this is a full back panel PFD we’re starting to see kayak fishing seats get higher and higher and higher. Sometimes this back mesh platform interferes with that seat, and this will give you a super comfortable platform to sit back in your boat in your seat be comfortable along with that we have the Chinook os os is offshore.

This really gives you an option to carry a UHF radio with you out on the water. So that antenna is going to stick out of this pocket, whether it’s on the left, side or right side doesn’t matter with the double pull zippers. You can kind of accommodate that pocket for that UHF radio and it’s going to have more reflective built into it and more safety oriented colors.

So you can be nice bright, visible out on the water for those longer paddling trips. Along with that, we have awesome apparel selections, so whether you’re in super sunny warm conditions. We have awesome. Sun protection, UPF did 50 materials, but then you get into the shoulders season. Months of the year, we have awesome rain protection, splash gear rain, jackets, even cold weather, cold water, submersion options for kayak anglers to consider so just want to kind of walk you through briefly couple things that we have going on are for 2019.

This is the Vermillion shirt. It is a colored, button-down style fishing shirt, couple extra pockets built into it, but a cool thing with our shirts is they’re all adapted for anglers wearing a life jacket. So when you wear a PFD with some of these shirts you’re gonna cover up those vents for us, we’re actually gonna, put vents down your arms and on your side.

So if you’re wearing a jacket, you still get breathability in those areas that you need to. Along with that, we have the Baja and the varial. The Baja is gonna, be a UPF 50 material, but we’re gonna incorporate the net Gator into it and it actually has perforated holes. So if you have that net Gator up you’re, not blocking or fogging up your sunglasses, the varial is my go-to piece when I’m out in a fishing kayak full sleeves thumb loops.

So you can keep the backs of your hands protected. You have your integrated, buff or face shield built into it, and then you have also a hood. So if you have your ball cap on your Sun sunglasses on you have the net Gator up the hood over the top you’re completely covered, you don’t have to apply. Sunscreen sunscreen is damaging two lures line and fish.

This will give you full sun protection with this piece and then we’re gonna have some rain gear. Some sub splash gear, some cold weather gear, awesome stuff to consider all of this new stuff will be available. Like I said early 2019 to check out more information, you could go to NRS comm feel free to ask us any questions we’ll be able to answer those follow us on social media, we’ll be presenting a lot of this new product videos coming soon awesome stuff for NRS.

You.

Hi I’m Gareth ACK. This is Joseph today we’re going to cover the NRS chinook PFD I’d, say: basically it’s a kayak fishing lifejacket geared towards the kayak angler, so you can kind of take a look at the chinook comes in this nice bright orange color there’s also another color available Bart color. It’s like a dark green.

As you can see on the front of the jacket, there are a lot of various pockets and attachment points for different tools that you’re going to carry with you when you’re on the water start up here on the top got a smaller pocket for smaller items, whistles Clippers, anything like that, so you undo it here.

We got a pair of clippers actually on the inside and it’s got a retractable attachment point on the inside of the pocket itself. You even got a little smaller pilcrow pocket to add additional items. So if you want that, like a fishing license in there, it’s highly possible to do so on the front of the bottom.

You’ll see they’ve got large pockets on each side to accommodate larger items, pockets. So large you can even accommodate large large items. Such big pairs of pliers, the Front’s, got a Velcro portion as well. That’s the got a elastic front that will expand with larger items here. You’ll see, we’ve got a another retractor in a tube I can attach something with a clip on it.

The actual tube itself comes completely out, so you can take it with you anywhere else. You want to go, or you just leave it at home. Altogether got a nice spot here that you can throw maybe a large knife or you can even do a pair of pliers. That’s really handy as well a little attachment point on the chest.

You can throw those various knives that have a clasp on them inside the square. Then this pocket is just the same as over here see. You’ve got two pockets on the front, this time, still expandable for larger items and then the larger zippered pouch right behind there, like a phone in there and jackets, also fully adjustable for all sizes of anglers that come in various sizes and all of them are going to have these nice adjustment straps the ones on the shoulders are going to pull the jacket up and tight or you can drop it down a little bit.

If you care to on the side, you’ll see three adjustment straps to help the jacket conform to various widths of paddlers and on the very back you’ll see, the Chinook has a very high portion piece of foam that gets completely out of the way for your kayak seat to rest flush on your back, and that will cause the foam to ride up on the back of your neck and then you’ll also notice.

It’s got a clasp up here on the top. That’s designed to hold a waiting net or, if, like a fishing net, I clip it on, let it drape behind you whenever you’re going wading away from the kayak very handy. So this is the international I suggest you go over to ACK comm and check it out.

Hey guys, I’m Edward with everything in kayak, we want to thank you for joining us on our YouTube channel, be sure to subscribe thumbs up. If you liked the video and hit the notification bell, if you want to get a heads up whatever we put these videos out, as the title says, we’re eyeballin the NRS Chinook OS today we’re going to talk about some of the unique features. Definitely at that high vis Orange. They have a different color I, believe they offer in a couple different colors.

But this high vis is what we’re promoting what you’re looking at we’re going to see start at the top here. First of all, we’re gonna have padding where the straps are coming over your shoulders to reduce any kind of chafe. We’re gonna, see on that back panel. We’re gonna see that isolated flotation up to the top. It’s gonna be up to your shoulder, blades and be out of the back of any seat rest for high back seats from there. That mesh is gonna, be on the bottom.

It’s gonna kind of help cool you down a little bit and we are gonna see those reflective runs right across the back of that so off on your shoulder, blades you’re, going to have that not going to be covered up by the seat again right here at the top of the straps, as well as right at the front of the vest there, where that flotation starts, we’re going to see those we’re gonna have the velcro strap here we can walk down a little bit of accessory and then this little gear tab, so we can strap in lock in clip whatever you want, whether you’re running a knife, a radio or whatnot speaking of radios, one of the things we push with this vest.

This does have a gear tab here that you can walk into. But with this vertical pocket and with this vertical pocket having dual zippers, we can lock in a radio sorry guys an antenna on a VHF radio. So, with this being suggested to offshore VHF radio storage is gonna, be very important with that and then again across that vest, we’re gonna see a lot of storage got a little stash pocket. We’ve got a zipper pocket here, which is actually got an internal pocket which is nice.

So what have we put in there? We can secure we’re, gonna open it up and get to it. We’re not too worried about it falling out immediately when we open that again, two more small stash pockets over here and then we’ll see a larger open pocket. This is going to be really great guys if you little mesh right here on the front side with a hook, so we can tether whatever’s in there and then to separations hole the management loops across the top of that and they’re gusseted.

So this isn’t gonna fall all the way down. It’s going to kind of hang there. If anything does fall out in the bottom, it’s not going to roll out the corners, and these are going to have see if you can zoom in there yeah. So we’ve got the stitching there. That is a drain hole. That’s going to exist on both sides of this larger pocket, zip that back up and on the bottom of both of these pockets over here. This is going to be a front, zip closure, and then you can see what’s nice or I really like about these, especially since we’re talking about that offshore environment, where things get a little hairier than we want.

Sometimes this buckle here is going to be down the bottom of that vest to help prevent that vest we’re sliding up. So we want to make sure that we’ve tensioned that properly when we aware this PFD, so we zip that up without looking and then just some little features. We’ve got the two-tone on the zipper. It’s kind of a neat addition, just kind of a cool little set up there. Yeah just add some flair to it, fully adjustable on the shoulder, straps and then again on the side.

So we’re gonna have this bottom. One is gonna lace through, so we get that out of the way nope. So this is gonna lace through that floatation and go to that buckle that we talked about a minute ago and then, with that guy’s up here, that break down gonna have a lot of open space on the side, which is what makes this say, the difference between a paddling vest and a ski vest, and that is gonna. Allow you all the articulation needed when you’re paddling that kayak or casting working bait, whatever you do, when you’re going to have plenty of range of motion on that PFD to allow that activity to be done comfortably again internally, we talked about the mesh on the back here.

We’re also gonna see a nice little add-on. That stitch is going to be there. So as moisture builds in here, it can have a little bit of room to breathe, Oh knock it all. On the floor. We talked about these pads here again, so that’s strap. Not only is it going to run through that vest, it’s gonna have a little bit of padding there to help prevent any kind of shape, and then this breathable material on the side of that PFD, which is going to really help out the longevity of that PFD so guys that is the NRS Chinook OS in the orange like we said, we really promote that I’ve is orange, especially for this environment.

If you’re going to be offshore keeping that visibility high and it’s a really good vest guys really good fit and extremely popular thanks for tuning in guys Cheers. You.
