This up if you watched my last video at out what apps i couldn't find it locally. In any my gun stores what else was new but I'd usually take a yearly trip to. Atwood epson they had it so I've been hearing a lot about this how it's really good and stuff this was $6.99 canadian i don't know if. That's good or bad i would absolutely reasonable so i mean i picked one up anyway i was gonna pick up the like the. Ballast all cane like that they're normal cleaner or whatever. This is strictly like a clp extreme the. Maximum heat resistance so let's see. Okay I'm gonna lubricate my glock lubricate yeah i kind of said that weird. Anyway so I'm gonna lubricate my clock and my 1911 go out shoot whatever now the 1911 i didn't fire that many because i haven't bought any projectiles in a while so evan low for it in a while so that kind of sucked. But whatever the glock though i fired about a hundred and fifty rounds and it. Did great it did really good I'll show you real quick sorry it's Kansan is. Stained here we have you know trigger. Really i put four drops and look at it all in there isn't that wicked like that. Is cool did i notice a major difference mm-hmm not really i don't have a problem with my gloves so i don't have a problem. With any of my handguns so truth I'll. Rack it here a little bit can i notice a difference well i got a new recoil spring in there so it's stiff to begin with as you can see a lot of you guys like that word stiff as you can see. There's oil on the barrel there too and this was after 150 rounds so i mean. That's pretty impressive i was like wow that's cool so my column story short. I like this stuff it's pretty cool oh. And the smell is fantastic. Don't go eat it now but the smell is. Waked uh yeah smells like i don't know. Like a blueberry slushy or something by. The way it is blue guys i don't know you can see that yeah its weird smell but. Bala salt people like the smell of it i freak hate it i start coughing and shit i don't like it umm but i like its. Performance and how it works so as you. Can tell by the way a little update the nork polish nork has entrusted her anything i was very surprised I'm like. Who cares for the price of the gun I'm gonna polish the whole thing if you guys want you can check out those videos on my channel but i did get the new hammer. Hand nighthawk custom hammer and the. Brown ells values here i put in is ridiculous I'm gonna do a trigger pull i. Finally, got a trigger pull gauge guys i got it for Christmas actually so it's a. Trigger is cuz i mean it's nice or compared to the newark anything's nice the norc is the stock north land sucks but uh yeah i would love to no creep. No nothing now you don't get a lot of creepers anyway but i mean it just feels really good anyways back to the subject at hand lucas gonna try it sees if you like it i. Like it so far it's nice i think a. Little goes a long way with this stuff so i have to keep that in mind this is only one fluid ounce bottle or 30. Milliliters for our us can canadians. This is a viewer-requested review of Lucas extreme duty clp as I've done in. Previous reviews i will test the products ability as a powder solvent and as a corrosion inhibitor. I have prepared the steel plate by. Sanding to 400 grit degreasing with brake cleaner and separating into three. Sections i have a new assistant to help. Burn the powder let's fire it up walleye. Joe. Here are close-ups of the burnt powder. I applied hoppe's number nine to one. Section and the lucas clp to two. Sections. I let the plate soak for five minutes i. Really like that clock i scrub the hoppy. Section with a brass brush and wiped. With a clean patch. After cleaning the brush with brake cleaner i repeated the process with one. Of the lucas sections. I gave the remaining lucas section 25. More minutes of soak time after cleaning the brush i scrubbed and wiped the last section. You. Here are close-ups of each section the. Lucas clp did little to dissolve the burnt powder what powder was removed from the sections was due to the scrubbing and wiping the extra soak time did not seem. To help either irie sanded degreased and. Sectioned the steel plate i mixed one. Teaspoon of kosher salt with one cup of. Water i used a clean patch to apply a. Film of wd-40 to one section and the. Lucas clp to another the middle section. Was left untreated. You. With the plate held vertical i sprayed. Each section with the salt spray here. Are close-ups of each section after spraying i let the plate soak for 24. Hours here are close-ups of each section after. 24 hours i was surprised that the wd-40. Section showed signs of corrosion the. Lucas section was in great shape so i. Found that the lucas extreme duty clp. Performed similar to break free rem oil. And otis 85 all of these products are. Able to prevent corrosion but are not able to dissolve burnt powder as well as. The hoppe's number 9 the lucas clp had a. following the easy steps of virtual kc's. Perma blue liquid gun blue kit will keep the mettle of your firearm rust free and protected included in the kit is birch. Wood kc's cleaner degreaser blue and rust remover and perma blue as well. Included is wet/dry sandpaper a sponge. Glue and divers service cloth and barricade wipes after you have disassembled your firearms clean all the metal parts with. The included sponge saturated and cleaner degreaser make sure to. Thoroughly clean all metal parts and then rinse with water you can now remove. Rust and old bluing with the blue and rust remover saturate one of the dobbers. In the solution and apply it to the metal parts with a small pad of steel. Wool polish the medal lightly to remove rust and old bluing continue this. Process until the metal is gleaming if the metal has deep scratches or pitting sand the areas with sandpaper followed by steel wool polish to smooth it out. Make sure the metal is completely clean. Of rust and no bluing before moving to the next step next reapply the cleaner. Degreaser scrub with a sponge and rinse again with water now at this point of. The process try to avoid touching the metal with your finger tips to prevent markings on the metal when it comes to the bluing process now when it's time to start the bluing process timing is very important you can work on sections of metal rather than the entire piece using. A dawber in the perma blue apply it to entire surface a lot of the perma blue to stay on the metal for no more than 1 minute then rinse it with water and wipe dry it's better to leave it on for less time. Because you can always go back and repeat the process if you would like a. Darker finish after ordering rinsing polish the metal with fine steel wool and look at the coverage of bluing if. There is streaking or you want a darker finish repeat the bluing process after. You finish the bluing process wipe down. All metal parts with barricade wipes and allowed a cure overnight. Hello viewers what i have for you today is kind of work-in-progress video in this video right here I'm gonna see how. Aluminum black can be used on aluminum knife handles to repair any damage to a. Black finish and this particular video. Was inspired because of course i bought this knife here this is the crkt foresight and there are a lot of videos. On youtube if you want to see those about this knife so this isn't really about the knife in particular but i bought this knife used and it has an aluminum handle and as you can see it was a used knife when i bought it and it was very well-loved so that handle which is a normal a dark. Black finish is kind of beat-up and. Damaged all around and now it's just. Surface damage the knife itself is perfectly functional no issue with the knife but i wanted to see if i could. Maybe touch that up a little bit and so i was just browsing on amazon and i saw they offered a product called aluminum black and this is from birch wood casey. I've used their bloomin solution for. Firearms before so i wanted to try this. Solution out and see if it might help the aluminum finish on my foresight and. Now this is just an experiment i have no. Idea how it's going to react so what I'm gonna do essentially is I'm gonna use the rubbing alcohol here to clean off the foresight's handle as well as i can, and then we are going to apply some of. This aluminum black and see how it changes the appearance so let me hold. This up the before image relatively. Close to the camera so you can see how it looks before okay but you can see. Damage right there and on this side you. Can see damage right there and so the pocket clip is stainless steel I'm not going to remove it for this because you. Have to disassemble the knife to do so you'll notice i put some skateboard tape on it to help get it out-of-pocket so I'll try and avoid that area I'm just gonna use cotton swabs to apply it but. Hopefully you know by the end of this little experiment we'll see if this improves the appearance or not so I'm. Going to go ahead and do it and see how. It comes out so let's go ahead and try so first thing I'm going to do is. Use some cotton balls in the rubbing alcohol to clean off the knife you know. Get fingerprints off of it. And I'm just doing this really basic. Task I'm not going to in depth I'm sure you. Could spend a lot of time doing this and cleaning it off but I'm just trying to. Make this a nice quick job and of course whenever you're doing finishes on knives on guns the more prep time you. Put into it the better they're a finished result will be but still I'm. Just making this a quick evening project i don't intend on spending all day doing this so I'm going to do one side at a. Time okay looks pretty good let's just. Dry it off of it. And then I'll final rub down with a paper towel. Okay so let's start with this side right. Here i don't know if the results are supposed to be instant or not allow to. Work one minute rinsed with cold water so I'll rinse it with water off-camera see how that works but let's take a look. We have a seal on here and what can i. Used to open that I'll just find a random tool on my desk you know i better shake. It up a little first i don't know if it needs it or not but just in case there. We go so I'm just going to gently swab. In these areas that need coverage and. Again i could be doing it totally wrongs. And how much coverage it needs on it. You. But I'm going to go ahead and rinse it off and bring it back and see how it. Turns out so let's check that out okay. So after one application you can see there is a definite darkening on the. Raised edges, but they're on the tips there's still definitely a silver tinge. There so I'm gonna keep giving this coats of the fluid until i get a better. Result but again a lot of the areas that. Only had light scratching are a little bit darker than they were before although you can still kind of tell the difference between the two areas of coating so that's kind of interesting result there so I'm going to keep this. Process up I'm gonna do it off camera just for sake of space, and we'll see how. It works all right so i just did about. Four applications of the aluminum black. On this knife so you can see the. Difference in the handle itself it. Actually to me i think it's kind of big difference and now you can still of. Course see gouges where it got gouged but instead of being that bright shiny aluminum finish it's a darker more matte. Subdued black color which i think is. Pretty cool so i think this is a win-win. And the good news is you can get a bottle of this stuff for about $6.99 on. Amazon and i mean there's enough in here. That it's gonna last you for life essentially i mean unless you're refinishing you know say an entire firearm or something but look at that. Difference i mean compared to the beginning of the video wow that is a big. Deal to me so great product and super. Easy to apply i mean i've done this in less than 20 minutes so really. Nice maybe I'll do a couple more rounds. Of it just to see how dark i can get it and some of the upraised edges a little bit more but even so as it sits this is. A much improved knife over what i. Started the video with about 20 minutes ago so look at that oh great job so i. Totally recommend aluminum black metal finish great. Product can make your very well-used and. Loved knives good as new. Assuming you have a black aluminum finish on it I'm kind of curious how it would react if you had like a red anodized aluminum or something like that or some other color but dang in black.
