I’m here to talk to you about the loom, a 10 foot, so let’s check it out. So as we open up the package, you can see the luminal comes in this white ripstop nylon bag and, as you take the limit it all out of the bag, we’ll just take all the contents out. You have the loom needle and then it also comes with these things called needle ties, which I’ll show you in a second, but first and foremost, as you can see, the lumen neutral has a reversible USB, which means you can plug it in either way.
This will run off of any USB port, so any USB battery in a computer literally any USB port. So as we unload it off the spool, you can see on this one end. It has what we call a utility loop, so you can just loop it and hang it from anywhere and then it also comes with these three magnets. So these three sliders, which means you, can move them anywhere along the loom needle and on this end it has a magnet.
So you can stick it to anything metal. The noodle ties which you just pop over the end of the illumina tool like so and then you can loop it around tree branches or anything like that, and it goes through itself so that you can hang it with the noodle ties. If you want a power supply, we also have a package called the loom needle plus.
So we’ll just take this battery on the box. Real quick- and this is the lithium 4400. It’s awesome little battery when you flip the toggle up. It shows you capacity, so it’s half full and when you flip it down it, it gives you an extra a little bit amount of light, so we’ll just plug the loom needle in and as you can see it lights up and provides about a hundred and eighty lumens of light.
The other cool thing about the white ripstop nylon bag is, you can actually take the loom, noodle and kind of wrap it around the battery. If you will and you stick it in the bag that it comes with and it doubles as a lantern. So, like I said, this is the 5-foot version. We also have a 10-foot version: the 5-foot version with this battery, the lithium 4400 will run for about six hours, and the 10-foot version will run for about three hours.
I’m here to talk to you about the a five foot and a ten foot, so let’s check it out. So as we open up the package, you can see the lumen noodle comes in this white rip-stop nylon bag and, as you take aluminum out of the bag and we’ll just take all the contents out, you have the loom noodle and then it also comes with these things called noodle ties which I’ll show you in just a second, but first and foremost, as you can see, the luminoodle has a reversible usb, which means you can plug it in either way.

Today I am repairing this and what happened with this one is it got yanked on pulled out, got this at the rei garage sale for cheap, so I’m going to cut this open and then solder that back onto the board and glue it back up all right. So with a razor blade, I’ve managed to get that popped open there we go so yeah. I think our pins are all good actually, which is pretty awesome. Yep. All four of those pins are still good. So that’s pretty great here’s our little chip um, the wire colors, are still on there too, so I’ll be really easy to solder back on all right.
So next step is going to get to be to get these exposed here. This is basically like the style of cable that is used on headphones. Okay, so here’s our three wires, we’re just gonna start by tinning these ends and then soldering it up all right, so we’re gonna dip each of these in some soldering paste to get that solder to stick all right got all three of those tinned pretty good. A really good trick that I’ve used before is just to heat this up heat the solder up to remove it, so we heat it up and then just give it a good tap on something.
So let me try that, let’s see there, we go so check that out. I don’t know if you can see, but that you have the ability to do that. It’s a really easy way to remove solder. I’m just going to go ahead and do that with all three of these that’ll make it really easy there we go, got those all cleaned out all right, let’s see! If we can get this going now there we go all right. I got the red in there, let it cool for a sec. Okay, all right! Last one! Let’s get this little guy in here there we go, there’s all three of those bend them down flat.
Just fine, perfect, okay, cool we’re good to go all right, so just going to put a little glue around here clean this up, just a tiny bit with the razor blade. Okay, that’s good good! So now we need to do is drop this back in and oh gosh, so sticky. What I’m going to do is just put a couple drops on here. I should have worn gloves. I would recommend wearing gloves I’m going to put a drop in here to kind of prevent this from getting pulled out again same over here.
It’s getting very messy all right! So now we’re just going to set this in here. Both sides drop this over the top. Yep looks pretty good shove that in there a little more and then I’m gonna squeeze it back together. I think what I’m gonna do is just throw a clamp on here. I’m gonna put some glue in here, throw a clamp on and we’ll call it good. You basically use the same exact method with headphones. If you break a cable with headphones done, that many times works very well, there we go.
It looks pretty good all right, I’m just going to leave it like that, while it dries, I think it’ll be good. Yep, perfect! You! You.
Hey good afternoon YouTube world today, I just wanted to provide a quick unboxing of the Luci solar string lights made by empowered. This is, as you can see here, it’s their warm white and a couple quick facts about it. It comes with a 18 foot cord, which means you could take this 18 foot cord and stringing across any kind of area that you would like, but you got 18 feet worth of light. It’s also solar-powered I can recharge by solar can also repower by, of course, a USB charger.
So you just plug it right into an external battery. If you got one and then also you can see here, it comes with 10 individual nodes. Now these individual nodes themselves are LEDs, so not just a little white Christmas light bulbs or anything like that, but they’re actually LED. So you know, that’ll tell you that your efficiency and longevity of the lights will be for a long time. Also, the cord itself, as you can see here, is like a flexible braided cord, so seems pretty durable and it means you can just basically take that wrap it around anywhere.
You want and should be good to go. Another thing is it has a water-resistant reading of ipx4, so hopefully a little bit of rain won’t hurt it as I’m sure some people will be using this outside, of course, and then another thing is, it does have a internal flashlight. So, as you can see here, this this little bulb right. Here is your internal flashlight, so you can use it as a flashlight or you can use it as a string light itself.
Also another good thing and, as you can see here, it has a battery level indicator. So, of course that’ll help you to identify how much juice you got left in your battery. It comes with a USB input, so you can actually use it as an external battery itself. You could plug whatever you want into in there and you charge your phone whatever you need, of course, I’m sure everybody knows what they could use now.
It does say it has a 20-hour single charge. Now you got to understand that this does have three settings so I, don’t know what that twenty hour charge is for low, medium or high I’m. Guessing that’s, of course, on the low low setting, so you’ve got 20 hours there, medium high I’m, not sure what that would be, but maybe take a few hours off for each level. It does weigh and let’s see, eleven point three ounces, as you can see here so not too heavy.
The housing itself feels like a plastic covering so I, wouldn’t say: it’s drop. Durability is very high, I would say if you dropped it and probably would crack and then also this container itself, you can see it’s like a pop-up storage container. So what will happen? Is you can take that and you twist it it pops open and that’s where the cord is stored and you can wrap it inside there pop it back down, lock it and you’re good to go.
It does come with a one-year warranty and, of course, that’s manufacturer based. So if it’s something that’s wrong with it and it’s manufacturer issue you those more than likely they’ll, probably replace it. As you know, all all companies are kind of going down that line where something’s wrong. You have a complaint, the overplays it for you. So we’ll get started here with the unboxing. It just has this a little piece of tape up top here, and so we can get that cut.
Nothing. Fancy I, don’t think nope. So it’s just basically stored in this cardboard container here got a little package in there, not packaged, but some signage USB port to charge. Other devices as I talked about USB plug to charge. Solar, streetlights and you’ll see here in a minute that this USB is one of those very thin type chargers. So did you you can thread the cord to the bottom notch closed unit as desired length, so what you can do is you can unravel it to are before and you want and then what you’ll be able to do is unlock it or lock it in place to that that, let that that footage and you’ll be good to go.
You see, that’s the flashlight there itself. You got your USB port here, which is cool, that they got the cover on there. That probably helps keep it. That water-resistant got your power button. Your battery level indicator see what happens when we press that all right, almost the full charge, you got your solar panel I, couldn’t tell you what kind of days I didn’t look that up, but probably nothing fantastic, I’m sure it’ll take forever to charge us a lot of these little solar chargers do.
But then you got some cordage here that I’ll probably help you tie it up. You could probably put it on a carabiner lock or something along those lines and hanging up in a tree hanging on a pole, whatever you need to do to get that sucker hung up, but so far like I said it’s like a plastic container, nothing, it’s not aluminum or anything like that. So I would say. If you drop this, it probably has a good chance of cracking, but hopefully that doesn’t have so, let’s see what happens when you pop it open.
Alright! So there’s your cord inside there’s your thin USB charger port, whatever you want to call it, and let’s do a quick unraveling here just to give you an idea how long it is and what the process is gonna keep grabbing at. So we got here looks like a the locking piece itself. That’s interesting, almost lost it. No so I guess that helps I! Guess, I! Guess lock it in place. If you need to somehow anyways keep unraveling here and that’s it I guess this! That’s the notch here.
If you want to lock it, that’s it twist turn locks it in place. When you see the cord itself is not bad. It’s that flexible, braided type cord. You see on a lot of power cords. Now, there’s your little nodes there with your LED lights inside each one, all right. So let’s give this a test run here and maybe I can show you a quick idea of how bright the lights are themselves. We’ll just take our power button here, alright, so the first thing that comes on is your flashlight yeah I’m, not the brightest flashlight in the world, but it’s a it’s a light.
Alright! So there’s your notes lit up I, believe that is the lowest setting medium and I, and you see it’s got that nice, warm white, color, warm white! Color! Excuse me: they’re, not your really like high fluorescent, LED whiteout light, but so this way here’s one of the reasons I got it. You can hang it up in the campground and in car camping or in a tent, and just won’t be that super bright white light, but the nice warm white and that’s it.
So there’s your three settings, your flashlight, your low, your medium and your high, but that’s pretty much it a couple reasons you might want to get. This is like I already stated at car: camping you’d, probably hang somewhere in your back yard. If you wanted to definitely inside a tent there’s some over landing people that was probably great for inside a vehicle at night or inside one of those pop-up tents and then emergency lighting.
So no electricity, you can you know if it’s charged and everything is running right. You can use this as your emergency lighting and hang it up somewhere in a room. That’s pretty much it I would say when I first got it, it was on sale. That’s the mean one of the main reasons: I got it. Is it because it was on sale base, I got two of them and it was basically two for the price of one. It was a forget what sale was but I know right now the price is thirty, nine, ninety five on Amazon and 44 95 on the actual website, but they typically do have some sales, so I would keep looking for those sales and I think the last thing here is when you purchase one of these.
Apparently they provide I, guess funding or maybe even lights to people around the world. That I guess are less fortunate, and this this helps give them light. So that’s pretty much all I got for you. Any questions feel free to put them in the comments below and again thanks for coming and watching.
Hello: everyone, my name, is kevin and today we’ll be taking a look at the lucy solar string lights by empowered now, first things. First, we can see that the product itself comes equipped with a solar panel on the external side which can be used for charging the product. There is also an led light here that can be used as a flashlight or as an area light. There are two buttons one button for the power supply and the other button for checking your battery with the four led light indicator now, there’s also a usb port used for charging cell phones or other devices.
Now one of the unique features this lucy solar string lights comes equipped is that the string lights comes hidden and neatly, tucked in in this bottom compartment of which you can twist to open. Now, as I unroll this to the fullest, we can see that it is a total of 18 feet. Long now, within that 18 foot cord, we find 10 nodes with two warm leds within each node, making a total of 20 warm leds in the whole lucy solar string lights. This at max gives out 100 lumens. Now. One of my favorite features is that it can charge via usb, meaning that you don’t have to carry all those cables and find the right one every time now.
It is also ipx4 weatherproof, meaning that it can be put into a lot and, in my opinion, is very bright in the campsite. It provides much light more than needed into the campsite and provides light for everyone nearby.
This is an overview of the Luci solar, take with this camping and, like it so far, so it has a battery indication button right here, so you push it and these four little lights show you the battery charge right now it’s fully charged. This is the on button. So there are four modes. This is the mode that turns on the light for the unit and then just look at that. Little light bulb there to show you low medium and high and I’ll show this again at night.
It’s very, very strong light. There are 20 LEDs in here, even though there are 10 light bulbs and it’s a hundred max lumens of light back to this unit here. So there’s a USB port to charge like your electronic devices. The lights actually wrap into this area here and you can close it. So that’s pretty cool. The string seems very durable I, like the fact that it’s a string, it makes it easier and it seems more durable I should say it’s 18 feet long and, like I said before there are 10 actual lights.
There aren’t well, there are 2 itty-bitty clips; they don’t necessarily help with clipping on to anything unless you have something to clip it around. So right here is one of them, so you can’t actually remove it from that area. Just move side-to-side along that portion of the string so we’re using our own little clips here to attach it to the tent, and then let me show you over here. This is the end. So the end does come with this, which is a USB port that you can use to plug it into a wall.
Charger and I. Have it clipped here using this little clip on the edge, so you’d see a little better here. You can’t remove it, but you can clip it on itself. So it’s really easy for a clip here, but you know in other areas like in that corner over or even up top. We had to use your own clips to attach to the tent. So here we are testing these lights, so you can see the different modes at night, so John, here’s my Vanna White, and that is the backlight of the unit.
This is the low setting the medium and the high, and we actually brought out a book just so you can see how easy it is to read so quite a bit of light. We really like it so far and hope you like this video thanks.
Hey my name is steve, and today I want to show you an unboxing of the lucy solar string lights. This is the warm white, it is an 18 foot cord and it’s by a company called m powered now on the box. It’s packaged nicely. The box is quite nice. Actually, on the back, it says we put the sun on a string hidden inside the expandable unit, lucy solar string lights pack, 100 lumens into 10 nodes on an 18 foot cord. So I was looking something for along the lines of outside lights, to use around the back porch, the fire pit, and possibly when I go camping, this looked like it might fit the bill.
So, let’s open it up, see what we got inside all right inside you have the unit itself. You have a usb power cord. They give you this little brochure, here’s the lucy light itself, the top of it has the solar panel, usb connector power lights. There’s the bottom! Nothing there here are the cords. This is a lanyard they’ve attached a lanyard to it. So you simply twist that pops, open and inside are your lights. There’s a little hanger at the end of this, and then you simply start unwinding your lights.
I think the lights are spaced out every I don’t know 18 inches or so that’s what they look like there very compact looks like it’d, be easy to hang and the rest of it is cold they’re inside so I will make another video where I’m using these and I’ll show them lit up. But for now this is an unboxing video in case you are interested in this product. This is what you can expect when you open the box.
Okay, but we are still in hurricane know that he’s serious about getting you prepared for hurricanes and for storms, but he also likes absum fun too. So today he has a solar-powered lighting option, but it comes with some strings attached on today’s hurricane gear test. We get to look at the Luci solar string, lights. I think this is a creative entertaining way to light up your space.
This unit is made by M powered and I’ve reviewed several of their lights over the last few years, and they create sustainable lights, solar-powered and built to be outdoors and, to be honest, I love the company and their lights. This one they say, they’ve put the Sun on a string. There are 20 warm LEDs, packed into 10 nodes that has stretched out over 18 feet, and this is really more of a cord than it is a wire and it seems very durable.
There are these clips that will help. You hang up the lights now on the brightest setting. You’ll only get a hundred lumens, but when you spread that out over nearly 20 feet, it is surprisingly bright. There’s also a medium and a low setting, and on that low setting, you will get 20 hours of total runtime, but I will warn you that that low setting it’s not very bright now.
One of the greatest features is how compact this thing will store. The string will wind up all the way around this collapsible disc and inside the main unit here is where you’ll find the power source. It’s a 2000, milliamp hour lithium-ion battery and you can recharge that from these solar panels that are on top or the end of the cord itself has a USB plug on it.
So if you plug that into a wall charger, you can get a quick charge in six to eight hours. You can also charge your other devices through a USB port that is on the side. So, if you want to, you could kind of consider this a solar charger just for your cell phone, if you kind of wanted to look at it that way, you can monitor that battery with the decatur level.
That’s here on the top and you’ll also find that there’s a small external flashlight on the top as well, and that’s great for providing a little bit of light without having to necessarily unwind the whole thing. So many useful features in a cool light. I give the Luci solar string lights, a cat 4 out of 5 on my hurricane kit. Priority skill I would not make this my only lighting source, but it could certainly find a good spot in your go-bag.
The list price is 40 bucks. Have you made a solar-powered light purchase yet tell me about it on my Facebook page I’m at John, Dawson Fox, 26,.
Brightech Ambience Pro Camping String Light
Introducing Brightech’s newest addition to our string light family – the USB Powered LED Fairy Light! These strands include 10 S14 shaped LED bulbs. They have a color temperature of 2700K, and shine brightly, but not too harshly, at 1.5 watts, 100 lumens per bulb. The LED’s are wrapped in a layer of silicon for protection and also encased in durable plastic bulb covers to provide as much protection to the lights as possible. Set up is very easy, just hang the lights as desired, in canopied formations or straight across the space. We recommend using a guidewire as the sturdiest way to hang the strands, but you can also use zip ties or hooks to hold the main wire in place. Plug the wire directly into a USB Port outlet, a USB-AC adapter (adapter sold separately), or a portable charger with USB port, and your lights should power right up! Just unplug them when you’re finished using them! Specifications- USB input needed is 5V. Each strand is 24 feet long with 10 S14 bulbs spaced 20 inches apart (the lighted portion is 15 feet). There is 6.5 feet of space between the USB end and the first bulb, and an additional 3 feet at the other end to secure the strand.
- THE WOODS DON’T HAVE OUTLETS & THESE BATTERY PACK STRING LIGHTS DON’T NEED ONE. Take a standard USB power pack for charging phones and plug in your lights. These Ambience Pros are better for breaks in nature than solar lights, because you don’t need sunlight before you use them. So if you get to your campground and it’s cloudy or night time, no problem with USB lights. They also install easily under an RV awning.
- WATERPROOF, WEATHERPROOF, SHATTERPROOF. BUILT FOR NATURE. The Ambience Pro series all use commercial grade insulation to keep water out. This set also has strong plastic bulbs, so even if they knock into trees or gear, they continue working fine without smashing like glass. Other Brightech Ambience Pro outdoor strings even continued working fine after a Florida hurricane, per reviews.
- GENEROUS LIGHT FOR YOUR TENT, OR LIGHT THE WHOLE CAMP GROUND UP FOR GREATER SAFETY AND OPTIONS. With 10 included LED bulbs (1.5W of soft white (2700K) light, each) hanging across about 17 feet of a 24.5 foot string, you have ample light to keep animals away, find things in your tent & or even read. Walk easily between tents, avoid tripping on uneven ground or debris and set up the barbecue.
- USEFUL ALSO AS PATIO LIGHTS OR YARD LIGHTS: Throw a party and set just the right mood with these attractive outdoor string lights. The light is bright enough to grill by and eat, yet not overwhelming like a yard security light. If instead of hanging these outside lights in a straight line, you want to hang them in a canopy style – the style known as Italian cafe or bistro lights – get 2 or more strings.
- BRIGHTECH’S 3 YEAR PRODUCT WARRANTY: We proudly stand behind all of our products 100% and offer a full 3 year warranty. This will cover if the product stops working within 3 years or if there are any defects within those 3 years.
