That retains its weight so. Both the bullets that expand like. And then we also make the RIPD which is the fracturing I’m still a big fan of the fracturing but. Some people wanted one bullet can expand to basically three times its diameter. Provided both in nine-millimeter. And the rifle line as well. You can find this on wwwgecom.

Hey thanks for stopping in today we’re taking a look at. Something new from g2 research their civic duty 100-grain solid copper hollow-point. And nine-millimeter solid copper hollow-point is designed to expand to two. And a half times it’s starting diameter which is pretty huge because of. That we’re only expecting nine to ten inches of penetration. And we’re expecting velocity of about twelve hundred. And thirty feet per second. When fired through a service length barrel let’s get. It out on the range. It does give shot velocity tests coming in right at 1223 feet per second less. Than 1% difference than the 1230 publish looks good gel testing we’ll be using a block of clear ballistics synthetic ordnance gel which is a density similar to organic joe 1204 24. Now with three shots in the gel block take a look at how. They did bear gel light clothing heavy clothing look very similar nice big stretch cavities. All penetrating to approximately the same distance in the gel block take a look at the final penetration measurement remember the goal is nine to ten inches here bear gel nine. And seven eighths light clothing nine. And three eighths and heavy clothing coming in ten.
And 1/8 take a look at the recovered bullets the expansion is very large. One thing I did notice is incomplete expansion. We actually had two. Or three petals that failed to separate. And expand fully not sure why. That happened but you look at the overall expansion. We were looking at two. And a half times the initial starting diameter which was 088 inches every single. One exceeded it by just at least a fraction. You review the numbers I’ll give. You a recap of the tests. We were looking for twelve hundred. And thirty feet per second average velocity. We came in close enough to. We were looking for penetration between nine. And ten inches we came in on the long side. More towards 10:00 and then expansion of two. And a half times the initial starting diameter. That as well the only concern.
Ihave coming out of the test was the incomplete expansion on. All three of the test shots. You can see with the bullets lined up under their test scenarios. That two or three of the petals failed to separate. And completely expand. Ireally can’t explain why it happened but. It was consistent across. All three of our test scenarios so there’s your first look at g2 research civic duty ammunition we’ll see. How other testers make out with. You enjoyed the test. What I have here is pork chops in the front then pork ribs like spareribs. And then watermelon spareribs on the back. And then of course I’ve got a t-shirt. And then I got a hoodie. And then of course my little towel backstop. That was out in the rain so it’s nice and wet should help stop the bullets. If there’s any over penetration so anyways let’s go ahead. And get to shoot him okay so that’s the four shots through the USP 40. You a picture of how. These bullets in that picture. You can see all for the projectiles had made. It through the ribs. One of them this pair right here was actually caught in the plastic so. It had made all the way through but. It was just caught in the plastic. None of them made it through the t-shirt. Although um you know. They were basically resting in the t-shirt. Ifound them so you know. It did pretty good but let.
Me go ahead and show. You a couple of other pictures. That first picture you can see. That the bullets had already expanded by the time. They reached the spareribs. And you’ll notice that the spareribs didn’t blow up from hydrostatic shock. Anything and the pork chops didn’t. Now the pork chops and the spareribs were slightly frozen but. Even being slightly frozen. You would probably still see. Some kind of explosive effect from the hydrostatic shock well that’s not really. It happens in the human body hydrostatic shock. If a pistol round is to reach 2000 feet per second. That energy is going to be lost basically by the time. It gets through the skin because of the density of the skin so your actual wounding effect for organs is going to be.
You know the permanent. You know crush cavity which is basically. Whatever the bullet diameter is so. You needed to expand so with. This with this demonstration on the spare rib. You can see it was the holes were basically exactly the size of the cores. And actually one right here so. You know it actually does do a good amount of damage. It expands it expanded very early. It had only gone through like. This much meat before. It had darn near fully expanded. It was partially frozen so. It was a little denser so pretty good representation of. Me go ahead and talk about the watermelon damage was still less. Than the Winchester white box. It was almost on par with the Remington 180 grain the generic haul point.
It was a little less damage. Then the sig 165 I remember correctly but. You know what it did. More damage than the been the critical duty. Now the critical duty was horrid there was still solid. Ipulled it out so anyways a lot of people don’t like the jacket separation on these bullets but. You saw in the picture. All of the jackets were with the cores at the end. And that’s what we see a lot of outs of the Golden Sabres. Icouldn’t find the core to. It was probably on the other side of the ribs but. You know that’s fine but. You know most of the time. What you’re going to see with golden Sabres. When they’re extracted from people. Or test mediums is they’ve already reached a critical penetration depth.
Where they’ve already struck organs. And probably gone through. Or they’ve already gone through the FBI was far past the FBI minimum like 13 14 15 16 inches before the core continues going so in. That case I have no problem with. How the golden saber is performing its staying on long enough. It still does its job very well. You can see you actually apply. It to meat that the jackets are not far behind the cores. They basically stick together the whole way. And I’ve done this with pork shoulders. You know ballistics gel. And stuff like that but ballistics gel tells a different story. Than actual meat so anyways. Iappreciate you guys watching if. You have an ammunition.

All right today we’re testing Remington’s new ultimate defense compact which were specifically designed for contact handguns. This particular load is a 1:24 grain 9-millimeter. And we’re going to be testing it in Remington’s new r51 pistol. It runs just a little over a thousand feet per second. What we have is some pork ribs. Or just gelatin, and we’re gonna cover the ribs with two layers of denim so let’s see. What this boy first fuck to gelatin it’s about seven a half inch block of gelatin see. We got a pretty decent wound cavity second block of gelatin we’re getting 12 about 13 13 1/4 13. And 1/2 inch of the penetration which was exactly the same sweat. This load showed in gelatin without for real let’s look at the bullet. What it looks like you.
