The shoe is necessary equipment for vacations. You.
I usually wear a size 9, but it wasn’t. I have super long toes which hit right at the end of the shoe, but I found them to be very comfortable. The problems I’ve had with my old water shoes are what led me to choose this style. I work out at my local pool, so I needed something that was secure on my foot, but also allowed water to pass through the whole shoe the drainage holes on the bottom have made a huge difference. I don’t have as much drag in the pool and especially when I get out, I’m not sloshing around with a shoe full of water that only uses out of the sides.
The elastic on the top allows me to control how tight I can get the shoe on my foot, depending on how aggressive my workout is so far. I haven’t had to put it that tight to keep it on my foot, which is great. They haven’t slipped off once also. They have good grip on wet tiles. I’m not sliding around one of my most practical purchases yet so very happy. These water shoes are so much better than the ones I had previously being able to adjust.
The width is important to me. My feet are narrow in the middle and wide in the toe area, very lightweight, but the sole is substantial enough to do the intended job of protecting my feet. I most often wear a 10 in a sandal, so I ordered the 10 5 size for women they’re a little long, but I prefer that to having my toes jammed up in a smaller size and the bright pink color is fun ordered a size, 8 5, which is what I wear in most shoes.
I wore them on the boat today, where we walked on shelves and sand and water of course, and I had no trouble with anything getting in my shoes. They fit just right and weir tm re-comfy the whole day. They had perfect grips on the bottom, so I never slipped. The color is very bright and cute highly recommend you.

Experience out-of-the-box comfort in this waterproof hiker. With durable leathers, a supportive footbed, and Vibram traction, all in a versatile package, you won’t doubt why moab stands for mother-of-all-boots.
Oh, this is my review of the Merrill pair of murals I, just my first pair of Merrill hiking boots, I worn like the slip-on ones, because there’s very comfortable they’ve been pretty durable, usually I, wear size, 15 shoes, but coming to realize my feet may have shrunk, so I tried for teens with these get them for nine months. Now you can see these shoe laces broke.
These are the originals, so I had to replace them. They’ve kept my feet pretty dry and I am going to demonstrate how dry they keep your feet and there’s wrenching my foot in water, both feet for good measure, I, think ampere and some water. We can see that three thoroughly soaked a minute now try to trim this off using just my hand, see what the he look like.
That’s my dog mad. He likes my Marilyn. He likes to hike with me. I go on about three to five mile hikes and they’re pretty great. For that, don’t look very wet at all. Do they see? That’s that’s a win. I will point out that was not completely submerged. I bet, some time being submerged. It would eventually get wet, but, as you can see, they do a good job of keeping your feet wet, I, highly recommend them very comfortable, never had any issues with them, except for the lace, braid.
Hey everyone I’m Adam with Merrill I, want to talk to you about my favorite, the Moab, to mid waterproof. This boot is awesome and I think you’re going to love it as well. It’s known for its out of the box comfort. So as soon as you put your foot in it, you’re gonna get that Merrill wild moment and just want to go hit the trails. So let’s talk about what makes it so great. When we look at the outsole of this boot, we’ve got a Vibram outsole, so it’s super grippy super durable.
So when you’re hitting the trails, they’re wet, they’re, muddy, you’re, gonna be gripping just fine and it’s gonna last you for years in the midsole. Here we have our Merrill air cushion right under the heel, so it’s essentially a little cutout like if you took an ice-cream scoop right to the foam and put another layer right over it. It creates a little trampoline effect for that heel feels amazing right underfoot getting into the the upper here.
We’ve got a nice performance way. That’s going to be really durable. It’s gonna shed dirt clean up nice, and we also have this silicone stability band here that wraps around both sides of the foot. So when you’ve got a light to medium pack, you’re gonna be supported in that boot. It features our M select, Drive, waterproof membrane, which is both breathable and waterproof.
So, even though this boot looks really messy, it allows your foot to sweat and that sweat will evaporate out of the boot, but it does not allow water into the boot. This boot features our typical narrow fit, which is going to be snug in the heel precise over this instep and really roomy in that toe box. So it’s an anatomical fit and it’s comfortable right out of the box, so you can gear up and hit the trail today.
Hello and today we are testing out the Moab – made of water food boom, as you can see, I also have my leg gaiters on, as you can see, I’m in the water. This is not staged, not staged my feet. First, we have the M select drive which locks out moisture, so I can stomp through rocky creeks or city gutters, without kidding my socks way.
I am going to brand new. These are the barrel Moab mid waterproof. These are not the cortex version. This is exclusively the waterproof version. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on the internet and on YouTube, but none of them showed the waterproofing ability and I have heard a lot about the fact that they don’t propel the water like they should so we’re going to put these to the test right now.
I realize that you’re probably not going to go, stand directly in a stream, and these aren’t gonna be for fishing or things of that nature. But if you’re planning out hiking anywhere, where there’s gonna be streams or running water, or if you slip off from a rock you hate to have your feet, get wet right off the bat these are supposedly waterproof.
They have the meril end right membrane. These are again are not the gore-tex, so I’m standing in water, as you can see it’s about halfway up the boot. This is definitely much more than I. Would ever do in. Am that a hiking trip, but again, if you have to cross the occasional stream or something like that, I have read where these are not waterproof at all, and the people complain that they got wet just walking through tall wet grass and things of that nature.
So again, as you can see them about halfway up the boot, but in here for about a half a minute. So far again, these are brand new I have not put any kind of aftermarket spray or anything of that nature. On these, and so far my feet are absolutely dry, have no problem at all been wiggling. My toes and the boots have been kind of moving around a little bit here, so a Meryl Moab mid waterproof.
This is these are men’s. Size, 11s I’ve had no trouble at all, don’t feel any water penetrating the membrane. My feet are completely dry, I, don’t feel any dampness, and again this is far more than I would ever imagined doing during real hiking I would never expose it to this much direct water contact. So if you’re reviewing this shoe, I found that it’s very comfortable I warm around and work the other day.
I’m not had any hot spots, didn’t have any discomfort. They fit great coming out straight out of the box. I think they look nice they’re very comfortable. They have the Vibram soles that are gave a great traction and again here for about a minute, if not two minutes and again, no water, no penetration. My feet are completely dry.
So hopefully, if you’re looking to buy this boot, this will give some confidence, or at least a video to watch the shows that they do what they say. They’re gonna do my feet are completely dry. After standing in this bathtub full of water- and hopefully this will help- you make a decision. Of course, I haven’t really hiked outside by giving them a lot of abuse, but my intention is going to be to spray these with an aftermarket spray anyhow, just to kind of reinforce the waterproofing, but just so you know right out of the box.
You can definitely save us. Some water with these Merril Moab, mid water proofs and your feet will stay dry. Thank you very much for this helps you.
Emma SARS elixir to back it’s much a little less you want, and then you can roll it up and English dashing away. So now we’re gonna them hey guys. Today, we’re gonna be talking about the Moab – before we get into don’t forget to click the link below to subscribe, let’s get into it. So what makes this shoe a fan, favorite! Well one thing that the mob is really known for in what’s what hasn’t track, attracting lots of customers all around the world is its comfort right out of the box.
You’re gonna have great comfort with this shoe, unlike some other hiking boots, where you have to do there’s a break in period. There is a great like right when we slip the shoe on we found was super comfortable right off the bat there’s other shoes. Obviously the more you wear it, the more you wear it in the more comfortable it is gonna be, but it does have great comfort right out of a box. Another thing to notice is that this is the waterproof shoe.
However, there still is lots of ventilation. As you can see, the mesh insulation around it is really great, with a good mix of ventilation and waterproofness they’re using a merrill, select, Drive waterproof nests, so it’s their own in-house technology and works. Well, has good mix of breathability and waterproof s. We have really enjoyed having to not worry about puddles and stuff walking here on hikes the traction that uses a Vibram company technology.
As you can see, it’s a kind of a funky looking pattern provides. We found it had great traction through a variety of conditions and held up well on slightly slippery and slightly damp cool rocks and logs and how it held its own really. Well. One thing you notice is the weight compared to some other hiking boots. It is a bit on the heavier side, especially compared to like a trail run, inspired shoe like the XL 2 3. However, shoes like this, they each have their own pros and cons, so this shoe may be a little bit heavier than some of those other boots, but you’re getting some really great cushioning in this shoe compared to the Moab one.
This shoe has a refined, insole and a more of a cushioning in the heel cup. This is really great for holding your foot in place and has really found it really improved the fit compared to the Moab one, the tightening more cushioned. She look up allowed for great support, help, keeping your foot in place so you’re, not gonna, get blisters from your foot sliding around a lot, and it was really great for all day long lots of miles comfort.
So it was really nice to see that another thing you notice is that they do make a vent version of this shoe. You mentioned the vent option is gonna, be a little bit lighter. Roughly two ounces lighter for like one point out each foot, so it isn’t the biggest difference in the world. However, if you are gonna be somewhere, you’re gonna be in, they know the water more, especially with the low version and doing the in bit higher water.
We do recommend the vent option, as it is easier for draining the shoe for drying out when it’s not waterproof. However, there is no big difference in terms of weight, so if weight was the only thing holding you back, it’s not the biggest deal, because there isn’t the biggest difference and concerning it’s a generally a comprar base. Shoe I mean that extra comfort is. You will really appreciate that we hope you enjoyed our thoughts off the meril Moab -.

Hey everybody’s, a Sun Collins and today about six months ago, or so my daughter gave me a pair of shoes and I was really excited for those of you who have been around for a while. The company is called Merrill, M e RR e ll and they are kind of famous for the I. Don’t know what they’re called the barefoot, the toe shoes that were popular about six or eight years ago, my daughter who’s in our early 20s. Now she loved the things and she warm everywhere and personally I thought there were a little bit odd, but she’s a little bit odd, so it worked out for, but she raved about him.
She said they were great so about six months ago. She gives me a pair of merrill, hiking boots, gore-tex, hiking, boots and I was pretty excited about them. There were awesome boots, I looked them up online and they were you know like a hundred and forty two hundred and sixty dollars a pair and so I was super excited about it, and then we had a problem. They the the sole just started. Coming apart, it’s like a multi. It’s like multiple layers of sole in there and it’s like a main sole, and then they have this grippy part that goes around the outside and that’s all sort of vulcanized together or something anyway.
We started having a problem with the sole of the shoe coming apart and then there was also some problems with the sort of the leather trim on there that was wearing off and I’m, not sure if it was really leather or not. But anyway, I had a problem with the shoes, and so I was really disappointed. But I went online and I reached out to Meryl and I explained the problem to him and they were like hey. Can you send us some photos of the problem that you’re having with the shoes? I’m, not sure no problem I’ll go ahead and do that I? Send them the photos and then about a week later, I get a message from them and they said hey.
We want you to do something a little bit goofy at least I thought it was a little bit crazy. They said, if you will cut the tongue both of the shoes and send us a picture, will replace your shoes. They they’ve been recalled and we will take care of that, for you and I thought. Well, that’s pretty cool, so you know I get out the knife and the scissors and everything and I cut the tongue out of the shoes and I. Take pictures of them and I send them back to Meryl and then a couple days later, I get another email from Meryl and they say hey the shoes that you have have been discontinued and they’re no longer available.
But if you’ll go on our website and pick out three different pairs of shoes, like your first, you know your your first option, your second option and your third option. You know the one. You really want, the one that you you know, kind of want and one that you’d be okay with getting, will send you some new shoes, so I went on their website and I picked out these. Needless to say, a couple: well, maybe, four days later, after picking out the shoes, they showed up and I got from Meryl a brand-spanking-new I’ve, not even worn them, so this is like the first unboxing or whatever you want to call it.
These are the shoes that mail sent me. They are really really close to the shoes that I had before that. My daughter gave me they’re they’re gore-tex hiking boots the soles on them. You guys can take a look and kind of get an idea of what I was talking about, the sort of the two-piece design, there’s sort of a gray part that goes on the bottom of the shoe and then there’s this black really hard. Grippy part that goes that’s sort of married to the bottom of that, and so that was where I had the first problem.
That was coming apart in several places around the shoe, and so that was no good and then some of this trim stuff here had cracked and was coming off, and you know I’m not I. Just wear these things like in normal wear because most of the time I’m here in the Batcave, so I’m not really like out scampering through the jungle or the forest or the desert, or anything like that, I’m just working from a home office and so I’m, not really that hard on shoes, or at least I, don’t think I am so I think there was probably some sort of a flaw in the design and manufacturing of the first pair that I got.
But these are awesome. These are really I mean they I think they’re even better. Well, may I’ve, really you know sort of tried to flex these and see if there was any part of it where it mates together. Where give none of that I think these are awesome, so I wanted to do a product review and a shout out to Meryl for stepping up to the plate and really taking over and showing excellent customer service. If you guys are interested in these and I, don’t know if you can, if you can see this I’ll try to zoom in so you guys can see.
Maybe if I put it down here, it might help these are actually the the style is called the Moab MOA, b2 and I guess mine was the Moab one gore-tex mid width shoe the interesting thing about how Meryl does things is. They really only have two widths in their shoe widths wits with their shoes only come in two width, specific sizes, and one of them is medium, which is what this is and the other one is wide. So if you, you have a narrow foot, you might want to look into you know into whether that’s going to work for you or not, but anyway guys.
This is the gore-tex Moab – and in there awesome I can’t wait to get them on and get them out and try them out. There will be a link to Amazon on here. So if you guys are interested in checking that out, you can go and you can order you a pair full disclosure on this deal. Okay, if you click on the Amazon link below I’ll, make a couple of bucks on it. These shoes were sent to me free from Merrill, but only because the original pair of shoes messed up and had a flaw and we’re discontinued.
So you know this is not a paid advertisement from Meryl in any way shape, form or fashion. These are my shoes and they just happen to be replaced under Merrill’s warranty and they’re. Awesome customer support so anyway, if you guys are interested in that check it out and otherwise be sure to like hey comment if you’ve, if you’ve used these or if you’ve used the other ones with the toes and you like those, let me know in the comments below and be sure to subscribe, because we’ll be doing different product reviews and things as we go forward.
So you guys have a great day, we’ll see you next time.
Hi everyone, its Craig, forget out their gear reviews, and these are Merrill’s Moab to waterproof hikers I’ve, given them a very good test over many kilometers on many hikes across many different trails. Here’s what I thought of them, as you would expect from Merrill. They are very good shoe with many high quality features that made my hiking a very pleasurable experience. First of all, I really like their solid construction, when I put them on I could feel that they were a hiking shoe that would perform well and last a long time.
The core of the shoe is rugged and provides lots of support and protection for Rocky technical trails. The upper is a durable suede, leather and mesh, and of course, you have a substantial protective rubber toe cap for added protection, something you won’t necessarily find in cheaper shoes. Are these bellows here attached to a closed cell foam tongue? That’s going to help, keep out, moisture and debris and of course, only in a premium shoe.
Are you going to find excellent waterproofing the Moab twos have Merrill’s M select dry, which seals out water but lets moisture escape. So you stay dry when you’re on the move. I want to point out the webbing eyelets that come on this shoe I prefer this kind of eyelet because they just seem to provide a better fit to wrap it all up. They have a Vibram sole with a 5 millimeter lug depth that gives them excellent grip on a wide variety of terrain.
All of this adds up to a shoe that weighs in at two pounds one ounce or nine hundred and forty grams. Each of these features contributes to a very solid shoe that make it very likely that this shoe will continue performing for many kilometers for many years to come. Finally, I was curious about the name Moab, and it turns out that’s an acronym for a mother of all boots. That’s a bold statement but I think it’s one that Meryl can get away with on this hiking shoe.
It is very comfortable and an incredibly functional hiker. You won’t be disappointed. I’m, Craig, freaking out their gear reviews be sure to check out our YouTube channel for many more reviews on gear suitable for endurance, sports, outdoor recreation and adventure.
Hey how’s, it going everybody today we’re of the moab 2 waterproof hiking boot from merle. Let’s jump into this now I bought this boot back in february 2nd of this year. I wear it every day to work and after work I go hiking and on the weekends I go hiking. How is the boot held up? It sounded just fine, very, very comfortable, I’m a heavier individual, so a cheaper, a cheaper shoe or a cheaper boot would not work for me. It would be worn out within a month. These have been doing really really well.
The only thing I’ve done is: I purchased a new insole from merle. Let me show you real quick purchase this right here. This is the what’s this called the kinetic fit base. So that’s what I had to do here, because the one inside of it kind of got smashed a little bit it’s the way it is but, like I said I I walk at work while I’m at work on my lunch break, I go for walks or if you want to call it a hike to hike and there is a difference between a walk and a hike. I’ve discovered that the hard way I’m what you call a hiking amateur.
So that’s a topic for another video, but as far as this shoe goes right here, I have not had the opportunity to test it in water, really don’t want to I’m not a fan of getting wet when I’m in the wilderness. I know what happens, though, but I’m here in arizona and it’s the dry season right now, so I have not had the opportunity to be caught like in a monsoon or walk through whatever so there you are so, but these boots have done really really well. You can look right here.
The build quality is amazing. You can look like they’ve held up, and I know some people are going to say. Well, you’ve only had them like three and a half months, but remember every day use all right from seven in the morning to like nine at night. They don’t come off my feet. It’s like this is what I’ve been wearing and that’s that’s how comfortable they are they’re, a very great boot. Now I paid I bought these right here at dick’s sporting goods and I paid 141 after taxes uh just the other day.
I went on merles com and I purchased another pair. I got these right here, for I forgot what I paid for upgrade anyway long story short, there’s like a memorial day, sale going on. If you go over there right now, you can actually get these for a cheaper price than what you can get them for cheaper than 140 a lot cheaper than that. But this right here I went and I purchased the this color right here- the granite color, pretty cool, pretty cool. Looking I like it same the same boot, the moab, 2, waterproof and just a great just a great boot in general, but anyway back to this so yeah.
If you’re, I do a lot of rock hiking rock trekking and uh yeah. So that’s what you do. You get amazing amazing traction out there on the rocks, amazing grip, same thing like say I don’t know, say you work in an office or a work environment that would allow you to wear something like this. I highly recommend you purchase a pair of these boots. They’ve been very, very good to me. So after six months, I’ll do a six month review I’ll, keep you all up to date how these boots are holding up, but that I just I just want to read it reiterate everyday usage, I hike most days of the week and on the weekend, I’ll go for other hikes as well or, if I’m doing yard work or if I’m just running errands around town.
These are on my feet because they feel that good but uh yeah. I highly recommend these and, like I said right now, mara murrell. I keep wanting to call them. Merles merle is having a special like a memorial day. Deal uh. You can get these, for. I want to say for like 120 dollars or something like that. I did not pay full price. I did not pay nothing crazy, all right so anyway. That’s the way for this video in the description, I’ll put a link to merle com where you can purchase these amazing boots and uh that’ll be for this video thank ally for watching and I’ll catch.
All of you in the next one.
Ever outdoors, so in this video we’re gonna be taking a first look at the merrill Moab to tactical boot, so keep watching all right guys. So, as you can see, my current hiking boots are about shot I’ve been putting off for a while, but I finally realized I needed to bite the bullet and go ahead and find me a new pair of boots. Now I had actually already had my eye on a pair of Moab twos I had went to the store, tried them on I, really liked the look of the boot I really liked the comfort of the boot.
It’s one, that’s been around for a long time has really great reviews, so that was really what I was leaning towards getting now. I’ve, never actually owned a pair of Meral boots for myself before, but I’ve heard from a lot of people. One of the really great things about them is that they are really comfortable out on the trail right out of the box. So there’s not really like a long, painful break-in period.
You pretty much, can just put them on and go so. I was actually about ready to pull the trigger on a pair of Moab twos, but I started kind of looking at their waterproof version and I ended up coming across these now I’ve always been kind of a fan of tactical gear, especially when it’s kind of the hybrid tactical gear that works really well, you know for the outdoors, so I figured. If there’s anybody who could do it, it would be Meryl.
The reviews looked like they were pretty good on these, so I decided to go ahead and give him a shot. I couldn’t try them on in store. There wasn’t anywhere locally that carried them, but I figured I would just go ahead and go with the same size. That I tried on in the store, which was a nine and a half, and hopefully everything works out right. So let’s go ahead and open these up all right.
Here we go now. These socks are not included. This is something else: I ordered I, guess they just put them in the same box so right out of the box first impressions, you just feel quality right here, really well-built boot a little bit heavier, probably than the regular Moab twos, but not as big of a weight difference, as you would think just because you can feel it’s got a much sturdier build now.
This is a waterproof boot advertised to be waterproof. It’s a waterproof leather upper as opposed to gore-tex, which is what you would get with the standard of waterproof. Moab, 2 and I mean it’s. It’s really I mean what I expected it’s a Moab 2, but heavier built with a more tactical look to it. It’s got a Vibram sole got a nice aggressive, tread pattern. There got a little bit of a heel to it.
You’ve got a good. What do you call that a boot cap that might be the wrong term? For that? You can see that’s reinforced right. There. You’ve also got some reinforcement on the heel that kind of a rib going in there. There is the inside feels like a a nice footbed to it, and just a really good-looking boot I’m definitely not disappointed as far as first impressions go by the way. As far as the color is concerned, this is what they call a coyote tan if you’re curious how it compares to like this is a coyote brown like you would see.
This is a standard issue. Us army boot so definitely lighter, which is exactly what I expected, but just keep that in mind. If you’re expecting it to be like this, it’s not a coyote brown, its coyote tan, alright, guys, let’s go ahead and get these old boots off. I’m really excited to try these on alright guys. So a couple of things in the way of first impressions as far as comfort goes, the sizing was definitely pretty spot-on, I think compared to the regular Moab twos that I tried on in the store, so I’m thankful for that I generally opt for a wide if I can get it and these boots I’m not sure if they weren’t available and wide or if it was just that they didn’t have them in wide.
On the website, when I ordered so I end up getting a standard rather than a wide, but I mean these boots are soft enough and there’s enough give to where it’s not a problem. For me, I’m kind of somewhere between a wide and a regular, so I still think I’ll be fine with that. But they’re super comfortable I mean right off the bat I slid right into them. They feel like they’ve, got nice cushion to them and I really I.
Don’t expect I’m really gonna have a break-in period on these at all, I. Think from what I remember, they feel a little bit stiffer than the regular Moab’s, which I mean is not surprising, because I think they’re made of a little bit heavier weight material with that waterproof leather, but I mean pretty much the same thing in terms of comfort. If you are a fan of the Moab twos I, really don’t think you’re gonna feel much of a difference.
I think you’re gonna like these just as much so we’ll go ahead and walk around just a little bit in the east I apologize if the cameras shaking on you guys but I just want to get kind of a feel for how they feel in the trail. Because is it really what I’m gonna be using them before a lot? Is you know my lighter hikes out on the trail out in the woods doing, videos doing my bushcraft of type stuff, and so far I mean it feels like a well broken in pair of boots, like not stiff at all, really comfortable, good, cushion and I’ve been on my feet wearing boots already all day today by the way, so my feet are a little bit sore a little bit swollen up, but that’s really a good time.
You know to try on a new pair of hiking boots right because you kind of know what your feet are going to be like at your worst and that’s when it really matters in terms of comfort when it comes to your boots, so guys overall, as far as first impressions go I’m really happy with this pair of boots, it’s a little bit on the higher end price-wise as you would expect from a merrill. But when you compare it to just your traditional Moab boot, it’s only a little bit of a step up in price.
By the way, this is their mid cut boot, which is my personal preference I like a little bit of ankle support, but you can also get it in a low top shoe version or a higher top I believe it’s either a six or an eight inch tactical style high ankle. So who do I think this boot would be right for well. You might be somebody like me who is looking for a hiking boot, but you want something a little bit heavier built a little more tactical styling to it, or you could be doing bushcrafting things like that out in the woods.
It also makes a great service boot if you have a job where you work on your feet all day on hard surfaces, this is gonna, be really comfortable for that as well. I also think it could be a really good rugged, EDC boot, for just about anybody. Of course, just like any other new pair of boots. Only time will tell just how good it really is, but as far as first impressions go, I am really really happy with this pair of boots, as usual, I’ll go ahead and drop links in the description.
If you want to check them out for yourself and if you’ve got any questions or comments, feel free to drop those below and I’ll do my best until next time stay happy stay outdoors.
Hey guys, chris here so I’ve been looking at my hiking boots, and I said it is time to replace these. These are high-tech men’s, mid, hiking boots, mid-top hiking boots and the tread was really pretty much wore out like an old snow tire and we are heading into snow season and I thought you know I just need to get some boots to take care of myself. Uh the uh. The toe guard here was separating look at that just totally separated right there very scuffed up.
I don’t know if you can see that uh the shoelaces were like exhausted, so I’m going to replace these, I may actually bring them down to the thrift store. I think somebody could pull out the old insoles and then replace them and maybe clean them up with some fresh shoelaces, but nonetheless they’re going away, and I got merrell moab vent two mid top mid-range hiking boots for men.
I got these today at the local sportsman’s warehouse. These can get these on amazon. They are 4 5 stars about 9 000 reviews. They are a best seller that is also with. They also have the the lower cut ones. I like the ankle support, so I went with the ankle support and I paid 110 for these uh. It’s a good investment in what I like to do, which is hiking on amazon. You can even get a better price if you, if you get the different look at the different colors different sizes, and even when you buy it like if you buy on a tuesday like a week or two later, sometimes it’s like cheaper uh.
It’s like almost like getting airline tickets. You kind of check back and see what the prices are doing. Okay, so the overall standard price is 110 for the mid cut like I have and then 100 for the lower cut check on amazon check around the internet, wherever you like to shop, see if you can get a good price break on sometimes, like I said, there’s you can get them for a little bit cheaper than the standard retail price.
You can see that they uh really have a nice design to them. I really like the look of that. Compare that to like this boot is just a nicer. Look to it overall, I think so the moab, which is the mother of all boots. I like that. That’s pretty funny is 1 1 pounds. This has a durable leather and suede mesh uppers. You can see the mesh in here. It’s very breathable has a waterproof treatment to it, and what that does is is it keeps your feet warm and dry and still breathes at the same time.
It also has a microbe shield that they’ve applied to it another treatment, a solution that they’ve tried for the inside of the liner here that has an anti-microbial solution which is called a microbe shield and that fights those odors that you get when you wear and you get a little wet and soggy, and you put it in the garage and like a day later, like oh, my gosh. What is that dead? Musk ox smell in my shoes, so it actually helps with that with the microbe shield, very nice thing to have, but very popular boot.
I really like this boot and uh really happy. I got it. This is just a really a very, very comfortable boot hiking shoe hiking boot people. Just really like how comfortable it is right out of the box, you can use it and you don’t really have to break it in and worry about wearing it for uh. Two weeks before you go on a hike or something so you can just wear it right out of the box.
Well, ventilated, very durable boot and the um you can see. The construction is really well done with the toe guard coming up and this coming way up over the front of the toe and that’s where the problems are even in the back. It comes way up like that very well built, really great souls on these. This is actually a vibram soul. Vibram, I think it’s maybe it’s vibram, but I’ve always called them vibram souls back in the 80s.
I had the original colorados, which had the vibram sole, the colorado hiking boots, and that was the big hiker boot back then. So I remember wearing those in the mid 80s going to school and thinking you know, I’m kind of the outdoors look to me. You know with the big hiking boots and stuff, and my first hiking trip in the 80s was the cloud peak wilderness in central wyoming, great trip.
That was a lot of fun. That’s where I learned how to backpack and I went from there up to yellowstone, etc. But the rest is uh history, so, but really a good boot. So the inside we have the insole here, and this has some extra. It’s called the air cushion insole a little extra pad right here, extra padding. You can see the design on it real well built to give you really cradle your feet.
It’s got ventilation in the sole there with the holes and and such so really very nice put those back in, and so the moab bent to a hundred and ten dollars is like the standard price or about a hundred for the lower cut ones. But, like I said on amazon, I just found this and they’re. Currently, this color with the lower cut, is 85 on amazon, so it even says normally 99 95 and you’re saving, 15, 95, you’re saving, 16, so just interesting, amazon’s worth checking out.
So I’m going to put these on in the the other room. Take a look at them. I got the size 11 these uh fit me really. Well, I got a bigger foot, I’m a little bit. I got a little bit of sasquatch and they slip on nice and easily look at that very nice and there’s one eyelet at the top that you just uh the hook eyelet. I believe that’s what they call it um, which is fine, because sometimes you get too many of those hook.
You’re hooking the laces on but yeah check that out. Look at that goes on nice and smooth, and just they just feel so comfortable, so real happy with these okay, I’m going to take him out for a walk like that, like I’m, taking a dog off for a walk or something, but all right. Thanks for watching and we’ll see you next time, you.
