They aren’t pictured in the mounting diagram and there’s no mention of what to do with them. Since the toe clips are just plasticine in the holes, for the screws are slot and the screw heads aren’t much wider than the hole Eska would make sense to use each metal plate on the outside of each toe.
Clip so that the plastic toe clips would be sandwiched between the metal plates and the pedals. Unfortunately, the plates don’t fit in that location as they are wider than the space allowed. That’s a shame ik because when I hand tightened the screws cwith out the metal plate ech the plastic easily deform it can I doubt the toe clips would have gone long before breaking, since my wife ordered them for her first triathlon. This didn’t seem like a chance worth taking so I took them off then reinstalled them with some washers between the screw heads and the plastic clips.
Now they seem sturdy enough to last a while overall cosecha lee for the price that I’d recommend them. But if you don’t have a bunch of washers waiting in your garage for just such an occasion, plan on a trip to the hardware store also note that if you have reflectors installed on both sides of your pedals, you are going to have to remove the ones on the side that you install the toe clips.
