Wolf, we are here checking out some winter gloves. The temperatures have dropped, the Sun has gone away and it’s cold I’ve got baby fingers. They get really chilly out on the trail, so not one of my favorite times of the year ride, but it is one of the best times here to test out. These gloves so thought. I’d report back on five pairs of gloves that I’ve been riding over the last few months, some of which I wrote last year and still really like and a couple of others that are brand new.
So we’ll start off. First, with the the Tasco dawn patrol, these are a glove we actually reviewed last year, we’ll put a link in the the review to our winter gloves shootout from last season, they’ve still stuck around in my ear bag. I take them out from time to time, they’re really nice glove, there’s something that gets used in. You know place like Bend Oregon in the shoulder seasons once it gets too cold. For me, I need something a little bit thicker, but if you are warm-blooded or don’t deal with temperatures, you know much below the 40 degree mark.
This is a really solid glove. It’s got a very thin fleece line. You know top of the hand area, it is wind proof, water resistant, and it has some silicone grip here on the lever or your fingers for the levers and palm for the grip. So if it is a little damp or dewy in the mornings, you’ll still be able to grip a very cool glove really like it. The tasko dawn patrol these retail for 3995 I believe it is pretty solid value and a good, you know, mid weight kind of a you know lighter to mid weight.
Winter glove to that are brand new. This year, at least to me, are from Alpinestars and I brought both of these into the review because they showed up together and, like I, said, I have really bad circulation in my fingers, so they get really cold out there and I’m glad I took both of them out with me on my last ride, because it ended up snowing by the time we were done. So temps were definitely in the low 30s and you know I started out the ride with the thicker glove, which is the Cascade WP tech, and this is you know, it’s got a leather palm, it’s a weather, proof glove.
It has some insulation velcro wrist closure, I mean when you put this glove on and just you know looking at it if it looks like a much more substantial warmer glove when compared to the cascade Gore Windstopper. However, on the climb up – my hands were frozen. With these gloves on I was I mean hurting I had to you know, stick them under my armpits and try to warm up. I switched to the Cascade Gore wind stalkers, which are a much thinner glove.
However, they employ, you know: Gore’s wind, stop technology. You may be able to notice that it’s it’s a bit thinner of a glove. There’s, not you know an insulation layer or anything else, but this love kept my hand much warmer, even though it’s thinner and doesn’t have as much insulation. I don’t know if, if it has to do with just the employment of the gore wind stop material or if it was also a combination of that and the fit or what it was.
But this glove is not quite so tight around my fingers. There both sides large. This was very tight around the ends of my fingers, which you know could be partially to blame with why my fingers are so cold in this glove. But the Cascade WP tech is a is thermally insulated. It claims to be a little bit warmer, but it it is a waterproof glove, leather palm. It’s a bit bulkier, it’s also 69 95 and honestly from my experience as well as another guy who I had testes, we actually shared gloves.
He wore a left and I wore a right and we we rode with both different gloves on a separate day and came back, and you know both felt that the thinner cascade, Gore Windstopper glove was warmer than the more expensive WP Tek glove. So these are a 5495 again has some reinforcements in the palm around the outside. Here both are velcro closures, but if you are gonna search for one pair of gloves from Alpinestars, my recommendation would be the Cascade Gore, Windstopper I think it is a better glove, it’s not as bulky and it kept my hand warmer, which is pretty impressive.
So all right, we’ll move on to some other new gloves in from Liette. These are the dbx 2 0, wind block gloves. Also, these are a slip-on they’ve got a very thin minimal palm outside here is their wind block technology? It’s a you know: cool water, resistant, I, wouldn’t wear this out in the rain. It’s got some 3d micro injected brush guard kind of padding on the knuckles and fingers, which is nice because it always hurts sitting your fingers when they’re cold.
These are a good glove. If it’s slightly chilly, if you again run really warm and don’t need a lot of warmth at the hands, they’re comfortable, they’re, light they’re minimal. Excuse me if you ride somewhere, where it starts out being chilly and warms up pretty quickly into your ride, this would be a good option. You know, I have even worn this out on the dirt bike. When the temps you know get down into the you know, high mid 40s and wind chill is a factor.
These will do a good job, a block in the wind and I definitely wear them regularly. Next up one of I think my favorites and many other riders out there is the hundred percent brisker. They now offer this in a waterproof version. This is just the standard brisker, these retail for twenty nine. Twenty nine fifty I believe it is cheap they’re. Under thirty bucks, they’ve got tech threads on the finger and thumb. So you know you can navigate your smartphone or look at a map if you need to get get somewhere.
A little bit of silicon printing is on the palm and finger for traction slight insulation on the top making it you know a little bit padded, but not too bulky or or thick, but still a thin palm. So you get a good grip on the handlebars, really cool glove I like it. The waterproof version is our little bulkier and a little hotter. So if you need waterproof gloves be aware that you know they’re a little bulkier, but they will keep your hand warmer as well.
That is 100% brisker, so, hopefully, is give you guys a little bit of information on these five gloves. If you’re looking for some to keep your hands warm this winter, there’s plenty options out there. These are five that you know. I’ve got some pretty extensive experience with and really like. So to summarize it if you’re looking for some cold weather, gloves in a you know, more -, mild or moderate climate, or your really warm blooded.
The task oh and tbh, Dawn Patrol gonna, be a good option, doesn’t get too cold if you’re. Looking for some on, you know, kind of chilly starts at your ride or some wind protection. The lyac wooden blocks are a good one. I represent brisker if it’s chilly and you don’t need to go something like a full-on. You know crab claw and it’s like frigid. This is gonna, be a good cold weather. It’s love. I will wear these into the 30s. Even with my cold hands, alpinestars the the WP tech I, don’t love it.
It didn’t impress me on time. Not you know. I was really hoping that this would be a new. You know thicker well insulated glove. That would keep my hands warm. It doesn’t do as great of a job as I’d hoped so I would recommend. The cats gave Gore Windstopper from Alpinestars. These are I, think a warmer better, cheaper glove and I definitely will be wearing these a lot more of this winter. So, thanks to ask any questions below we didn’t have something in this list that you’ve been riding or are looking at.
Ask a question and we’ll see if we can compare the two based on not some experiences with gloves. You know we don’t have here, but thanks for watching, please subscribe to our Channel and check out the lone wolf calm for more detailed reviews. Thanks.

The deluge over trousers are a great value piece of kit, essential in the hills you.

Hey guys how’s it going welcome to another gear review. Video is not raining, but we’re talking about these rain trousers or pants for you guys who are American or wherever you say, pants I got like same pants. It just feels fun because it’s not what we normally do so these rain pants. What we’re talking about today! So these are the burgh house pack light rain pants, so they cortex and basically they’re waterproof trousers. So you put them over a pair of trousers that you might be wearing with the idea of staying dry, so I’ve been using these for the last six months right throughout our winter season, in some rather atrocious weather, where I still find myself questioning why we bounced in that weather, but then you’ve stood up to the experiences I’ve put them through and I just wanted to have a bit of a discussion to allow you to make a decision as to whether or not these are the waterproof pants that you need in your life.
So, let’s start right at the beginning, I have used Burk house in terms of waterproof trousers orig for about six seven years. I had another pair of waterproof trousers by Burke house that I’ve used for all of my long distance trails and just basically everyday being out and about and I’ve upgraded to these guys because they’re considerably lighter so these retail retail at 110 pounds I, did not pay that I paid. Eighty, so I would encourage you to shop around, but they weigh in at a 185 grams, obviously give and take a little bit depending on what size you’re getting the movies are so small and yes, these are actually the men’s just because they fit better and that’s just how I am so.
Let’s just run through the features, so you see they’re very simple and that’s how they’ve managed to keep the weight down so starting from the top up. We have a nice elasticated waist here, and that means you can pull these up over as many layers as you want to and just make sure that’s, nice and snug, and you can also tighten it with a little and like draw cord finger here on the side and just make sure they’re not gonna fall down, which is great. No one wants that.
So then, coming down to the side, we have these three-quarter length zipper, which should double access, so you can see I’ve opened them from the top and that just allows for ventilation, which is great there’s an absolute must for me. I tend to find myself feeling quite clammy in water crews, especially sort of the muggy weather that I’m often walking in being able to open. These is fantastic because you, then you just straight access to the outdoors and then from the bottom access you can unzip them and again that’s a must in my world because it means I can pull these on and I can take them off really easily over my boots, don’t need to walk without my boots.
I have no stress, ohshit ugh we’re trying to get my feet through its just whip them on put them off so simple as that, if you, if you’re new looking for a pair of waterproof trousers I’d, encourage you to start with a pair that have at least a halfway zip, because it really just make all the world of difference just being able to get them on and take them off really quickly. And then you find yourself not necessarily loathing the waterproofing world quite as much.
Also at the bottom, we’ve got some little poppers, so we can basically tighten these up around the ankle and just secure in the heat a little bit more, and that was quite a nice thing with gaiters. If you just wanted to keep everything nice and and tight, or you know, crampons as well, you just don’t want baggy clothing around the tightening. That up just adds a little bit level of security, so they called the pack light Strauss’s and essentially that’s because you get this little mesh pocket thing here, which is a little toggle at the top, and you can basically roll them up and stuff them in there and that just shows you the pack size.
So these are really tiny trousers. When it comes to packing down they’re, not gonna, you know get out to sacrifice any snackage space in your backpack, so it’s all good. So that’s just a really nice sort of evidence that they pack down small because you get this little mesh bag to come with them. So one thing I want to just consider mentioning or I just want to mention is actually there’s two things. So. Firstly, if you want pocket access, these are not the trousers for you, there’s no access to your internal pockets of your houses, so you kind of go to just pop yeah your hands down the front and try not to look suspicious, but that’s how you get to your internal pocket all like that.
It’s a bit of an ordeal! So that’s just one thing to consider, but the other thing is something I’m quite passionate about, and it is. It was actually something that I considered and that helped me decide to buy these trousers and basically Burke House have teamed up with a company called blue sign, which they basically ensure that, throughout the entire manufacturing process of a product, it’s right through to the use time. There is no. There is no issues, basically that the product is not going to have any adverse effects in the natural environment.
So a lot of waterproofing clothing at a microscopic level as it rains the the chemicals leach out, and we therefore are quite unintentionally quite often walking through a beautiful pristine or as pristine as it gets natural environment leaching out these chemicals, which have adverse effects in the natural environment. Now, you might just say well, I’m just one person, but if you think about the number of people that walk that trail in it in the year, take the West Hollen way.
For example, at least 36 000 people hit that trail. Each year now say: 36 000, people’s water, pries leached out a bit of chemical. You get that bioaccumulation in the natural environment and generally is not a good thing. So it’s really nice to be able to wear and own a pair of waterproof that you know. If it’s raining, you don’t need to be like, but chemicals, it’s just a good thing and throughout the entire manufacturing process as well. You know none of the the water and that the again the chemical is used in the manufacture of these are not going to get anywhere near the natural environment.
It’s all disposed of and used safely. So if you wanted to be conscious of your environmental impact, then I would just consider looking into these trousers and actually have a look at the blue signs website as well. I’ll pop it in the description below I’m, quite enthused by them, I, must admit, and I do passionately believe that outdoorsy people we should be setting an example about how to respect protect, conserve and actually enjoy the the spaces that we work and play in.
So if there’s something you are passionate about, you’d like to find out more about, and then please do check it out, take the time to research that and build your knowledge up, because personally, I think it’s very important to set an example. So that’s pretty much it coming back to the waterproof trousers. That is these guys. Berg house packed like it couldn’t be simpler and I really rather like them. So if you use them or you’ve had any experience with them at all or any other waterproofs actually pop it in the comments below we’d love to hear from you and guys.
Thank you so much for watching until next time enjoy your adventures and see you out. You.
Deluge over trouser, the trousers are made from burg houses a cue to rip stop fabric. It is waterproof and breathable. The main features of the trousers are a three-quarter length, zip, which makes the trousers easy to get on and off over big boots and additional zip sliders to help venting when the weather is warm and wet. The trousers align with mesh at the top for extra ventilation and the rest of the lower leg is lined with nylon to prevent wicking of water off your boots and up the trousers.
These also come with an elasticated waist and a draw cord for a more secure fit. These trousers are great value for money on our well featured pair of rain pants.
Hi I’m done from the product team at minutes, and today we’re going to be looking at the Berg house deluge over trouser now, thanks to good quality materials and some well-thought-out features, these are a great all-around waterproof trouser. The fabric used is a really robust, ripstop nylon, backed up with a q2 waterproofing aq2 Isberg outer zone waterproofing technology, which is fully waterproof, windproof and breathable, so good for active use. As for those features, you’ve got this really really flexible.
Elasticated waist backed up with the draw cords that gives you a really great range of adjustment. The main thing about these trousers, which is really sets them apart from sort of inferior to cheaper versions. Is this really generous, 3/4 length, zip? The zip is covered all the way down with this pop word. Storm flap, which stops wind-driven rain getting in, and the zip from the bottom will run all the way up practically to your hip, which means getting them on and off is really really straightforward.
Now a lot of manufacturers would have probably left it at that, but when you you’re better quality outdoor manufacturers have the foresight to put this extra zip in the top, so this will run down from the top to the knee, leaving the bottom closed up and what that does is. As you walk, it pumps cool air around your leg. It makes a really big difference when you’re working really really hard and you want to try and lose some heat and stay comfortable. It’s also surprising how little rain you can get in there when you are walking.
So it’s a really really great extra feature so in terms of sizing and basically I’m a 32 inch waist and I’m currently wearing a medium and often people will buy over trousers a size larger to help them go on over boots. But with these three quarter, length sips, it just isn’t necessary so in. In summary, the deluge over trousers are tough, versatile, rainwear ideal for everything from wet weather commuting to Hill walking, and you don’t just need to take my word for it. Trail magazine voted them best choice for Hill walking in 2013, so what more do I need to say pick up a pair or in-store or online today, thanks for watching.
The Gortex pack light pan from Berg house is the all-out, waterproof solution for legs, giving you maximum protection for minimum weight. They offer ease of use with the elasticated waist and the full-length leg zip, which can be used to vent the trouser or to make getting them on over walking boots far easier. There are also poppers up the legs to secure the protection black over the zips in place, and these trousers come with their own mesh storage. Pouch for quick stashing in your rack, sack for the ultimate lightweight leg.
Protection choose the pack light waterproof trousers from burg house. You.
Hey guys and we’re going to simply hike today, we’re going to be taking a look at the birdhouse deluge hydrogel pants. So this is a nice lightweight, waterproof pants ideal to pop over your normal hiking trousers. It’s covered in hydrogel technology, which is a hundred percent waterproof, and it’s going to keep you a hundred percent dry as well as the trails are being covered head to toe in rip, stop material as well.
So it’s nice and lightweight, but it’s super super strong. So let’s take a look at some of the key features. Now, shall we so first off you’ll notice, your nice elasticated waist on here, so it’s going to give you a nice fit overall, it’s not gonna, be too harsh on your hips or above your hips as well. It’s gonna, you know, hold around you nicely and comfortably.
If you take a look down the legs and we take a look at the knee section- is what you’ll notice a slightly kink out a little bit. This is means that the actual trouser itself is kind of active fit. So if you didn’t better scrabbling you’re doing a bit of fast-paced hiking, the trouser itself is designed to move with you rather than against you.
But the key feature is the Excite Vince on the scientist, so you’ve got poppers that hold everything into place. Just do that at the bottom and then you at the bottom on and then you’ve got this zip on the inside there. So if I just open that up right down to the bottom there. This is how you get the trousers up on and off now what you’re, probably thinking? What’s the key part to having the pop as well as you can see, I’ve got the vent open.
You can’t take it off completely that one does stop at the bottom there, but what you can do pop of them all up. So it’s still going to protect you from the rain, but if it’s a bit hot, if you’re doing a lot of hot, you know a lot of activity. What you still got is nice ventilation on the side there, so just taking the zip off and leaving off at the bottom just means you can you know you can literally have that open and I’ll be really nice cool air to go through your legs, but also still keeping you nice and warm and just to show you as well.
You’ve obviously got the same on the other side as well. So all in all, these are a really nice pair of waterproof trousers from bag house and, if you like, any more information on them just have over to our website sydney, heiko UK.
About these burgos pack light my finger pack light um, waterproof form, so I’ll use when I’m walking around and moving around town and stuff, because I walk a lot, their gore-tex but they’re, not free pi they’re. Just a single ply cortex, so they’re lighter they’re, not as Rusli. You know they like a crisp packet. You can hear it compared to my Paranal jacket, which probably sounds the same on camera, but my paramour jackets really like, which is what I use, is wearing conjunction with this, but I just wanted to say that these are really good and I really do do get a lot of use out of them in England, because it’s so bloody cold and cold and wet a lot of the time and they pack down quite small which, when you’re putting them into a backpack or even look into a jacket pocket but they’re quite bulky in a battle jacket.
Pocket I’ve done that before and it’s and it’s quite there but I would this is just a quick video about these baroque house. Walk proof bottoms that I use there over trousers they’ve got vent in on the side. The reason I picked these rather than the other burg house and other walk proof, but you see is that there are just a single membrane or a single think so they’re not as fit as crunch yours bulky, so you can easily fold them up.
You know you can get them a bit smaller than that you can. You can fold them up and then, though, they will sit in your backpack now like the size of a big apple, a couple of apples, I guess, but they’re really useful for places like England, where it rains all the time you can just whip them on and off, if you’re walking out and stuff in it Sun. You know not the weather at the moment in England and to Maine out you July main, but you know January through an October and all of that when it pees down in you.
If you’re like me and you wear jeans and you want to get to somewhere and you want to be dry when you get there, these are a god-sent, so I would definitely recommend them. I’ve Adam since about 2017, though I wasn’t wearing them as much and because I wasn’t actually like walking as much between places and you can see they are cortex. I’ve got it on the fan. The only thing is that would be careful is when you put them on and off.
Is you definitely want to make sure that you undo the zips all the way and when you put them on the heel of your shoe, might rub against this on the inside? So if you’re doing that too much, you might end up wearing through them, but I haven’t done it. Yet it doesn’t seem to be any signs of wear so I thought that’d be useful for anyone like if you’re sending your kids to school or something get. My pair of these they’ll arrive freaking bone dry.
They might sweat a little bit if they’re, walking really really fast, but I. Think most people did drive the kids to school now than that’s. Why they’re all fat and everything so yeah I would definitely buy it. My just come by a power if you need walk with bombs.

Driving with cold and wet hands and feet, it’s really uncomfortable and you end up not riding as long because you’re just miserable in this video I’m, going to take a look at two products from showers paths that promise to solve that problem. They’re waterproof, knit gloves and socks find out what I think in the video welcome back pathless peddlers and, if you’re new to the channel.
If you’re looking for information and inspiration that about bike travel, bike, touring, bike packing and bike fishing and definitely subscribe, this channel is for you I recently got a package from showers pass with a couple of their new winter products and two products really bubbled up to the surface, and that is their waterproof gloves and socks. So I’m going to just jump right in and give you guys my first impressions of the gloves and socks so far as well as some of the things I like and some things I dislike about them.
So I’m going to start off by talking about the socks. First off, they look and feel like regular socks. So you no longer have that feeling of a neoprene bootie with some kind of weird fabric. On top of them, they actually look and feel like regular socks. So these socks are actually the second iteration of their waterproof socks and even over that version, this is a big improvement.
They’re softer. They just feel more. Like socks, they’re less plasticky, we didn’t really think they could improve on the first version, but they did another thing. You’ll notice is they actually have some give and stretch to them like real socks, so you’re not locked into like this kind of weird plastic bag feeling thing they’re, also a lot more fluid and easier to get on and off.
They feel less like you’re, putting on a big neoprene bootie and more like just like I, said a regular sock. I will say that the fit of the sock is a touch on the snug side, I’m solidly a size, 9 foot and the medium /. Large version of the sock was just about spot-on, if not slightly on the snug side. So definitely keep that in mind. If you want to layer with a under sock or have a particularly wide feet, I’d consider sizing up.
So if you’ve never put on a waterproof sock before the experience is I have to say kind of strange at first, especially if you’re standing in cold running water, it feels like you’re getting wet feet, but we’re actually feeling is just the coldness and when you take your foot out, it’s completely dry and it’s the most bizarre thing ever so. I’ve used these socks on a couple bike rides couple trail runs and hikes and I’m digging them so far.
I don’t find them overly sweat inducing, as you would expect from something that is waterproof. I do feel that they are fairly breathable in that respect, for biking, I feel like the sweet spot in terms of temperature is around the 40s and 50s any warmer. You might sweat more and any colder. It might not provide enough warmth. That’s primarily for biking on hikes and trail runs I’ve found that you could actually push it down a little bit lower into the upper thirties and still be good to go.
So now. Let’s move on to the gloves and just like the socks, these gloves have a amazing knit feel and they really don’t feel like any different from your regular knit gloves. There might be a sense of a little bit more structure and that’s from the waterproof membrane, but otherwise to the touch. It feels just like a regular knit glove and like the socks I found that the sweet spot in terms of bicycling is about 50s and rain for these and rain below that you’re kind of pushing it just because there isn’t that much insulation, but again for an activity like trail running or hiking.
We’re not creating a lot of your own windchill that you can definitely take it down lower one thing I really like about the gloves is despite the fact that it has a waterproof membrane in there. You have good dexterity so on the bike, no problems shifting and I’ve actually used the gloves, while fishing. So, while fishing I found that the gloves maintained their dexterity, I was able to fish successfully manage lion, do roll casts and double hauls without the gloves feeling like they were interfering, I found when I was fishing with larger flies like streamers and tying.
You know kind of easier, simpler knots, the gloves weren’t a problem, but when dealing with smaller dry flies, I did have to take the gloves off to tie the knots. There would be a couple more features, I’d like to see for this to be a fishing specific love and it’s primarily kind of a longer gauntlet style glove, and this is because, if you’re going to land fish or you drop something in the water, like you do when you’re fishing, it would be nice to be able to reach down a little bit deeper without going over the cuff of the glove and getting your hands wet.
But again, that’s on my wish list for a fly-fishing, specific glove. I think the same could be said in terms of a fishing specific knit waterproof sock I’d want it a little bit higher, maybe slightly below the knee, so that I can wade out just a little bit deeper without getting my feet wet. So that’s it for the general features overview and my general kind of likes about both the socks and the gloves.
There are a couple minor dislike and specifically with the glove whatever a rubber grippy material that they use does not play well with smartphones. So you do have to take the glove off to navigate your iPhone or your Android phone or whatever, and well last point about the gloves. If you are gonna use it for an activity like fishing, the heat, the knit material does tend to be a little bit snaggy, but that would be the case with any knit glove.
So definitely be aware of that. If you’re gonna use it for multiple sports other than that, that’s really it for the dislikes the socks, I’m, absolutely loving and having no problems with it’s really going to be a matter of how long it keeps its waterproofness. It’s really kind of hard to determine in just a couple of weeks of youth. So if you’re looking for a waterproof glove and sock that doesn’t feel like a plastic bag, then definitely check out these offerings from showers.
Past I think the thing I love about the most other than what they’re waterproofness is that they’re great for multi-sport activities for biking for fishing for trail running for hiking, because they don’t look sport specific, so I think it’s definitely a great piece gear to have in your arsenal, especially if you’d like to just generally play outdoors and want to keep your feet and your hands dry and warm.
So I may update this video in a couple weeks after I get a better sense of durability, but so far I’m loving them I think you guys should get them. If you guys have any specific questions, leave those in the comments section below and if you liked the video you know what to do. Don’t forget to subscribe, and thanks for watching.
Got in from a really really really wet ride, it’s 20 degrees outside Celsius, which is like room temperature, 72 degrees. So or this thing the pit things are open, both of them left the collar open a little bit, but just put this thing on to see how it would work, as you can see, from totally soaked and the helmet It was as if I wasn’t wearing a helmet.
That was rain. Hitting me on the place and gloves are completely soaked and it’s it’s pretty bad I brought a change of clothes. It is the last day of school like the last day, so I don’t have to dress up real good, so uh. Here’s the jacket on the outside everything’s nice wet on the inside. It’s dry right, so a little bit of sweat and it’s a little bit.
It’s too warm. It’s too warm to wear that jacket, because it is really really nice for colder weather, not so great for warmer weather, even with the pit vents open. It’s it’s not super great for higher temperatures, as in anything above 40. Maybe 45 really raining hard at 70 degrees, not the best thing. Like my pants are completely soaked up to here, because the jacket covers up to here- and my pants to here are soaked but rest in these good shoes and socks, sopping, wet and after wear those all day, but jackets really good for keeping you dry and really good for keeping you warm I, bought it in the fall after a really bad rain when I realized that, oh, my goodness, what was I thinking, why, after 10 years of commuting by bicycle to school, do I not have a decent raining jacket, because I get soaked and it’s pretty bad anyway, this I’m six five and about 210 right now- and this is a this- is a large, the sleeves at 6’5 or actually really nicely long.
The tail! This is it’s a pretty nice tail. It actually covers most of my rear end, and so, even if I’m riding without fenders and I do ride with fenders most of the time it keeps keeps most of your bum dry and the in the body. It’s long enough to get all the way down to a little bit of my leg and keep that dry. It’s got some nice big, wide pit vents, so the vent for the armpit goes out to here.
There’s the end of the sleeve and there’s the end of the zipper and it drops down to there partway down the body. It’s a nice big pit, vent, that’s about 16 or 17 inches long and really seals up nicely at the collar, so nice seal at the collar, and it does look like it’s designed for a ring hood but I just with the velcro things are for I guess what does Sheila pretty tightly on my 17-inch neck and it has reflective material all around reflective piping here and there and on the backside, also more reflective tape everywhere that it’s got a got.
A back, vent back vent and back vent didn’t really seem to do much, especially because I am riding with a messenger bag on most of the time or a backpack, so they’re not as useful as I would like them to be, but really really really great jacket. Liked it a lot- and it’s worked out- super well through this winter I wore it down to about 10 degrees, Fahrenheit, and it worked out quite nicely with like a long-sleeve shirt and a t-shirt underneath it with snow mobile, snow mobile, hood, hood, snowboarding, helmet and a little facemask and some nice big mittens.
But it’s a really great jacket, totally recommend it. It’s a long term investment. For me, it’s got some nice thick material doesn’t move much when the wind hits it. So it’s a pretty good material for keeping you warm. So this is bike physics. My recommendation I mean look at this. Look at the sleeves on this thing.
Look at the body legged job of keeping you dry so totally recommend this particular jacket.
