This is my new rifle case from plano all weather case, waterproof dustproof case from plano hard plastic case. It comes in a 42 inch dimension, 42 inch, long, 14 inch wide and a five and a half inch deck. It comes with four locking brackets four locking brackets. Actually, two of the brackets under each side is a locking, comes with a key to lock the brackets and also comes with two holes on each side next to the brackets.

So you can put your own luck for extra safety. Okay, there we go, you can hold up to one rifle or shotgun, with the scope and plus the accessories, and also you can have it like. I did. You can put your pistol inside, so I can hold up to one more pistol inside the case. There we go and inside the case like you say you can hold one shotgun and one pistol, plus the magazines and a few more accessories, the rifle or the shotgun cannot be longer than 42 inch, because obviously this is a 42 inch long case, and inside that case I got these beauties.

My zastella ez9 pistol comes in a 9 millimeter, it’s a double action, single action pistol and holds 15 round magazine. It comes with the two two magazines when you’re gonna purchase it. I take this one from the classic firearms and also the shotgun I also get from the classic firearms. The ak style, shotgun semi-automatic comes with two magazines, five round magazines.

It can hold two and a half inch. I mean two and a three quarter inch and the three inch shells also you can use extended magazines from pro mac, the saiga magazines that can hold 10 to 12 inch. I mean 12 10 to 12 rounds of the shells and also I see an internet. There is a drums. 20 20 round runs 25 round drums that you can use, but for those I think you gotta do some modification on the and the magazine.

Well, that’s about it. You.

Follow description link in the layout of this plano all-weather tactical gun case that I picked up from Amazon I’ll, put a link directly to this gun case down in the description below, so you guys can just click on it there and then determine if it’s something you guys might be interested in buying. So for the price point on this, this is just a very good alternative to you know: spending two or three hundred dollars on a pelican I.

Think I picked this one up for 62, maybe sixty-five dollars with prime. You know two-day shipping from amazon the price just like Amazon. You know it kind of bounces around a little bit I’m, seeing them up around seventy seventy two dollars and then sometimes they run some pretty good, sells on them, 55 to maybe sixty dollars, so I think at whatever price point you know kind of $75 and below it’s a very good, very good gun case for the purposes that I need it, for it has one two three four five different locks on it.

You can see that those just came over real nicely and secure, and then these these front two do accept a key. So you can lock them and has a spot here and a spot here for additional padlocks for additional security and protection. Then on the inside, you can see it’s that pick and pluck foam, and this here shows you what it is.

It’s the gun guard by plane now and then once I get everything where I want it and all the foam plucked out I’ll show you a quick run-through of how I do the Plasti Dip. It just adds a nice solid plastic layer on top, so your foam pieces don’t continue to separate from one another. So the rifle that I’m going to be using this case for will be the 6 5 Grindle that I custom-built, so I know there’s you know varying ways that you can do this.

Some people say to put the optic up by the carrying handle. So whenever you’re carrying it, there’s not pressure on the optic. I mean it’s a it’s, a vortex scope built like a tank and then I’ve got American Defense mount on it. This rifle it’s going to be spending the majority of its time. Laying down like this in the case, I know there are you know some cases where you might have in the back of the truck.

You might want to stand it up on its edge, but if that is the case- and you can just put it on the handle, if you have to- but even if I have to do that, I’m not real concerned about a little bit of weight being on this one, it’s going to be inside a foam and then too, you know I’m I’m, pretty confident in this setup here on top of the rifle, so we’ll go ahead and just kind of try to figure out where I want to put stuff at this is the 42 inch version and I’ll put this in here with the buttstock fully collapsed.

That way, I can get as much room as I can out of this. So that’s kind of how things are gonna look now what I’ll do is I’ll. Just start tracing everything with just a black sharpie that way. I know where to start picking the foam out and there we go. That’s where we start picking the foam out pick everything out inside of the black.

Of course, this kind of looks like one of those guns that I used to draw when I was in second or third grade. If you did that now, you’d pug get kicked out of school, then what I’ll do is I’ll just start cutting along the black line here and then just start pulling the pieces of foam out all right. Let’s see how easy this stuff is to pluck out of here there we go we’ll see how everything fits.

It’s pretty well for me, I think that’s gonna work, just fine I might take some pieces and lay back behind her to raise the rifle up, but I kind of like having it set in there. We’ll see that’s kind of stuff that I can play around with so now. I’ll take out this insert, leave everything else down here and then I’ll take this to the garage and run some Plasti Dip over it and see how that turns out all right so out here in the garage.

Sorry, the lighting is not real good out here, but this brain is just Performics Plasti Dip smoke caller says the shape for one minute, bigger sweetie for use, and you can apply up to three to four coats and wait 30 minutes in between each coat and I’m gonna try to get up in this area too. So none of that continues to try to flake away or fall out.

Alright, then I’m just going to wait. 30 minutes probably do two more coats for a total of three see how much is left after that and then I’ll just come back to you guys after it’s done and we’ll see what the results are. Alright, guys, here’s the finished product I think I put a total of four coats of the Plasti Dip on it and Amazon has the Plasti Dip as well I’ve noticed they kind of put together a combo deal.

One of you buy one of these gun cases. They kind of you know how they add something to it to make it a make. It look like it should be bought together, but they have this with the Plasti Dip. So I’ll link both of these the gun case, plus the Plasti Dip down below you guys, can just click directly off of that. Take a look at it and see if it’s something you might use, but you can see here this whenever I touch this, it does not separate, but here’s just the piece that I took out earlier and just touching that I mean just barely not even pushing hard, but you can see that separation there and the same thing I’m not pushing real hard, but makes it look like it’s just one piece now: I’ll just grab the rifle here, put it and see how she fits right there.

The bipod over here seems like it’s a little bit tighter fit now, which is nice, probably because those pieces aren’t separating when you slide them in here, slides right in and stays in there pretty solid, put the suppressor in here last everything’s. In its place, nice and solid still want to find something to do with my sling here, I’m sure it’ll ride, fine, if I just you know, put it right here- I might put a little layer something right there and just set it right there for transport, but I’ll mess with that, so yeah all in all pretty fun little project, nice, very nice, solid sturdy gun case.

You know it’s not going to be as solid and sturdy as Pelican, but you’re also saving what close to $200. So for what I need. This is perfect. I’m. Just you know, taking this rifle directly from the safe and heading outside heading to the gun range heading to hot coyotes, whatever it might be, and this will be the transport system, so I don’t need something super solid, nothing like Pelican, so pretty happy with how it turned out.

If you guys have any questions on this, don’t hesitate to comment down below make sure and subscribe to the channel like this video and stay tuned for more planning to do a lot more projects like this so appreciate you guys watching if you want to buy this.

Department of dear fence, your first stop for Intel on mission-critical hunting gear, thanks for joining me in the DoD gear lab, because today we’re analyzing, planos, aw 252 inch rifle shotgun case. This case is the second generation of planos all-weather line, which is where the aw comes from in the Nate. So how is the all-weather case? All-Weather? The primary reason is this airtight and watertight contiguous seal around the entire perimeter of the case when you clamp these lockable latches down the male portion of the case seats into this corresponding dry, lock, Channel, keeping dust water and even air out.

But if you remember our analysis on the all-weather bow case, I urged caution, because not only does this barrier keep moisture out, but if you put your gun away, damp it’ll keep moisture in -, which is bad news for a firearm, be sure to only seal the case up. If your gun is dry and speaking of seals, a special set of challenges arise when you’ve got an airtight container, specifically during air transport. The pressure inside the case just can’t equalize, you don’t want your gun case, blowing out in the cargo bay of a commercial jet you’re on plano, installed an adjustable pressure, release valve right here by the handle with a phillips screwdriver.

Tighten it all the way down to make the case completely airtight or loosen it up to allow the pressure to equalize as it changes continuing on with the outside of the case. Everything is heavy-duty and designed to withstand impact, which also adds to the weight of the case. Our test unit clocked in at a hefty nineteen point two pounds, but with that half you get for rugged, latches, two of which are keyed to lock the two copies of the keys come with each case, two handles one to carry the case long wise, the other to wheel the case along on the two integrated plastic wheels.

Well, that’s what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside counts, -. After all, that’s what’s actually coming into contact with your firearm. The aw – features planos pre, perforated, open cell pluck foam to make it easier to shape the phone to conform to your gun. The pluck foam gets its name because of how its removed just pinching a segment and pulling on it briskly plucks it out of place. I suggest using a strong black marker to outline your firearm, then removing the foam from within the shape for the best fit a thinner second layer of foam lines, the very bottom of the case to ensure there’s no plastic on gun contact from where the pluck foam segments were removed.

The top half of the case is lined with premium egg carton style foam depending on the form factor of your firearms. You might actually be able to squeeze two guns into this case, especially if you lay them in opposing directions. Now, if commercial travel is in your hunting plans, Plano is a w-2 gun case should definitely be on your list to consider its brute strength and airtight construction. Make it a solid choice. During transit, plato’s got a whole lineup of cases to protect your passions, and you can check them out at Plano.

Welcome back everybody, this is Luis 57. Today’s video is gonna be on play, know all of the tactical 42-inch rifle case and before we get started on this short review or more show until about the case, I want to thank all my subscribers and everybody that supported my channel. Thank you guys and I deeply appreciate it. So, starting off with the case, it’s pretty it’s pretty tough, being a play.

No plane will make some great stuff for the price, especially for the someone who’s on the budget. Right like like most of us and there’s many competitors out there like Pelican and I, can go on with brands, but the most common one is Pelican horse play no play. No, they don’t just make gun, bought, gun cases. They make boxes for our tackle boxes, for fishing, for those that fish and also for bone arrows people that are into our tree and make cases for those folks as well starting off the case.

It’s pretty it’s pretty durable. It has some. It was made very well I’ve had this case since 2015, and it’s pretty pretty good I’m having to this day and has some scratches dirt marks because I’ve used it everywhere. So my arrogance, airsoft guns and now my arms, it has five locking points or five hinges and got three in the front one on the side here and the other one.

This side there are two holes here for padlocks. If you wish to use those two of these locks here have key mounts: Plano does include the key to lock them down as a rubber seal and the inside of course, I open it up here, and mine is a little bit of custom lights. Customize. When you get the case, it does come with a clicking. Pluck style foam, it’s not the best, so I removed it kept the edge which will be mounted here on the side and I made it pretty Universal.

So I can swap out rifles and they would all fit here. The edge protects the gun from moving or if it does move it doesn’t hit the plastic it stays rested on the phone it worked for me. I think me personally, it’s a great idea: I I can put different pouches in here. Take multiple stuff swap out different rifles to work. Eight, a show foam on top KEK show foam in the bottom and pretty basic right and yes, the rifle is safety checked.

Of course you can fit anything in here. Up to a forty like I said it’s 42 inches give or take the this is about an inch and a half of phone about two inches on the side and an inch on the front and rear or ring shield. As I mentioned, it’s pretty durable it’s. It is a little flimsy, as you can see right, like I said it’s, you can’t compare this to a pelican.

Definitely not it’s made pretty well, you can deck yours out, especially with stickers. You’ve got a lot of real estate here here and, of course, in the front I got mine with a couple of stickers: no I’m not getting paid by any of these brands, I’m just showing them off. Dpms t-rex arms, Palmetto, State, Armory I am a member of the farm policy collision and, of course, black hawk cool brands.

The company there’s more stuff again, I, guess stickers. They get mounted here and eventually I’ll probably go down from there. I’m hoping you guys can hear me through the camera, there’s a little bit of noise out here. So sorry, if he cannot hear me, but that being said, it’s a very robust case. I believe I purchased this for about $80.

When I got it keep going price and depending on where you get it could change. I can’t forget to mention there is a grab handle here that extends out pretty solid and clips down when you’re not using it. It is, you could travel with it. There is a pressure bowel in the bottom right here. Very nice well-made case I, like I, said, handle it’s perfect.

I. Think that I’ve had this for about four four years and and it’s in good shape. Like I said it’s a little flimsy. You can see it kind of dips down it flexes, but it works. I’ve used this in the rain, dirt hot temperatures and it protected my gun flawlessly le oz you’re out there looking for a good case. This is it my recreational shooters out there perfect case out there, for you guys, keep in mind, you know I, don’t claim to be anybody I’m, just an average recreational shooter out there I’m just an American that likes to enjoy Second Amendment rights.

So that being said, it’s really good. If there’s any cons about it, I guess it would be since just the flimsiness guess it flexes a little bit. There’s pros and cons to that make actually take. It has I, guess you could say it’s a form of shock when it comes to the case that essentially it folks like I, said it was more of a show and tell of the case.

Do I recommend it? Yes, especially if drawing a budget you can always like. If you want this case to be dedicated for one rifle, you can always replace the foam. Okay, they do sell. Pelican Pelican actually sells foam for this particular case clicking, pluck or whatever that’s called it’s a solid piece of foam draw. It out, cut it out, and you can make your case.

However, you like it right all comes down to personal preference, just like mine, I made mine universal as I like to put it in I, can take this swap-out rifles and just set them down here. I can add more gear here back here. There’s plenty of room I might not have to worry about buying multiple cases for multiple guns down. This verse 57 comment like subscribe.

Hey gasp, I’m gonna put one here: you guys play no all weather gun box pick this up at Academy, Sports and uh want to do a quick review on it. I think it’s an excellent box if you’re looking for one it’s on the budget, if you’re gonna go get one of the the Pelican type boxes, you’re gonna pay a lot more money. This one right here is on the budget and it has just about as many features as the Pelican boxes, but at a budget price you guys hold tight stay tuned, we’re going to a quick review on Zadar one standing, you know shake like no box set out here on the workbench like I said.

This is a 36 inch model if you notice that the latches these two on the end are keyed and they do come with two sets of keys inside of here. It also has this heavy-duty handle with the steel hinge pins and the pressure relief valve, which is uh. You’re gonna need a screwdriver to loosen that up to get that pressure out of here. That’s if you’re flying or what-have-you changing in a atmospheric pressure. You can build pressure inside these cases here, but just these inner latches right here, they’re just regular heavy-duty latches.

You have capabilities of putting a zip tie through these little hinges here or you can go all the way around the case because on the backside, you had the same feature right here. So if you had a strap, you can strap these down. You also had the padlock feature right here. We can take the padlocks on the ends on both ends and you can lock them down along with that key, the key latch. So you had that feature in here. This one also has the rubber gasket seal around the lid.

So when you shut this, it does seal off, so it shuts off any moisture from getting inside the case. That’s all weather series make outstanding. This is the 36 to 42 and I. Do love this case here. It’s not a pelican by no means, but it’s pretty close and has the same capabilities as the pelican does so I do like this box, so I’m gonna go ahead and open. It up show you guys what’s inside and how I got everything laid out, so we’ve got it opened up in here, you’ll see the egg crate and the rubber seal.

The little white rubber ring sill around the top of the case, and it has this egg crate cushion inside of here, which is moisture, wicking moisture adheres to it or it sucks the moisture out just be aware. If you do go to a range- and you had this case opened it’s going to take moisture inside of here and it’s going to get saturated. So when you put your guns and your items in here trying to protect from the weather, you’re gonna find out it’s going to rust, because now you got the weapons locked in here in the moisture environment.

So you want to make sure this dries out before shut. This I always try to keep it shut, even if you’re going to outdoor rains and it’s raining outside I always try to keep this playing shut and when I get home, I’ll, maybe open it up and let it dry out a couple hours and then shut it up and secure it and store it. But I had my a our pistol laid out in here my Glock, some magazines and some little bit of ammo, and this is the way I wanted to lay this out.

I love the way it looks, I love the way it came out, looks kind of like a John, wick, double-oh-seven type layout I like this. This is nice and neat, and you can see everything and how it planes laid out. Nice and neat so well. I have two magazines: I also cut this out to where I could have a magazine already loaded inside the rifle or the pistol, and also I have two Glock 17 magazines with a high-capacity magazines and the Glock itself inside has a magazine inside of it.

So hi laid this out when you buy this and purchase this and I got this Academy Sports, like I, said before it comes just flat, smooth just like this all the way across so you’ll take your your weapons and lay them out, and once you get them laid out, you’ll take a regular little Sharpie pen and just kind of trace out how you want to lay everything out in here. Once you get that traced out, get yourself a a little craft razor blade. This is a exacto blade.

I think you can pick them up at Walmart in a craft section, and you can pick them up at a any craft store, especially where they sell model cars and stuff like that, because guys use these I guess cut out parts, but uh I used it for this, and then this right here to me is the one the best one, but then one of the features that has on it is this blade guard right here and what I did is once I got it traced out as I ran this through until it touched that blade guard that way.

Everything on this top edge would be even at even depth, and then I went back after I put the muda weapon back started, pulling apart and going down a little bit deeper and doing the fine-tuning be careful. How deep you go best thing to do is take this whole foam padding out, because there’s two sections of foam padding that come with this and I take this out. This is about inch and a half two inches, and then you have another foam padding right here, which is a stopper.

You do not want to cut this part right here on the bottom, that’s where the weapons were rest on. If you cut that Google I went to the bottom of the occasion, you don’t want that. You just want to take this whole top layer out when you’re laying and configuring out how you want to leave your case out. Just pull this whole thing out and then do. What do you cut? No, it does have the cubicle removable things. I, don’t know if you guys can see that so once you trace it out, you can go through and actually push and pull these out of there and get the pattern that you want and if I intended to take your exacto blade and go back through and kind of fine-tune you see where I can book it up a little bit on the edges, but I think all in all.

It come out real nice, so I’m very happy with that product very happy with the price, but very happy with the quality of it and I. Think it’s gonna last me a long time, I’m, not sure if they’re TSA approved but uh, they sure do look like it. I know that Pelican cases go beyond TSA approved, but I think these are here would probably pass the TSA inspection. If you need to go to say, fly off to another class somewhere or you were going hunting and you had just cut out and configured to a hunting rifle I don’t see where that would be.

Just concludes my review on the Plano all-weather 36 inch case gun case and how I had everything laid out guys if you in the budget for getting one or you need one, your going traveling to go into a class. What have you probably the best best thing under budget right here to get besides the Pelican, not knocking the Pelican, if you’re going that route I mean that is a good bump is on what you need and what your needs are but I enjoy this box I think it’s gonna last a long time, I think it’s good quality, guys, like I, said Academy sports all day every day.

So well, if you check them out guys appreciate you stopping by appreciate stopping and watching the review I. Thank you guys for subscribing for sharing liking the video and, if you’d like this, one, give us that thumbs up. We always appreciate it guys, a god bless you, you got stay safe. Remember guys! You are your brother’s keeper spy, my page with one we’re out.

When traveling with kit, sometimes you want both form and function, both of which I have definitely found in the Pelican 1720 case or 1720 rifle case, as it sometimes referred to, though you could really put any gear in this cameras: video equipment. What not Pelican 1720 has definitely been an ideal solution for traveling with kit it’s made in the USA and it’s watertight plastic features an automatic pressure equalization valve.

That’s got rollers on the side, so you can roll it like luggage and several very conveniently mounted and handles it’s got four places you can lock or put a padlock on for security, for travel by car or by airplane. The interior dimensions are 42 by 13 5 by five point: two: five inches it’s supposed to be watertight, crushproof and dustproof. So those of you familiar with my channel know that I took a Trek a little over a year ago and that involved driving a thousand miles away from my wife and children.

So I wanted something that I can travel with. Take it. That would provide all the tools necessary to ensure that I get home to need. Be a couple of these items that travel down in this case have been brought out and are in normal rotation for home defense. The rifle, on the other hand, has sat in here since I packed it in here over a year ago. You can see here that I have my M&P 15 stork – I got this for grip on it.

A little button that releases that by poverty, pretty nice, probably about a hundred dollar optic, monstrum I got four Magpul pmags over here you can see I have my Glock 19 X, with the tlr4 weapons light and the three Glock 19 X magazines. Here we have the benchmade bug out just a a knife that fits the color motif, not my favorite knife, but I figured it’d, be a good inclusion.

Probably could have done a little bit better with a knife. I thought the Falcon, even f1 crow would be a good inclusion into this kit. These are known for being bushcraft knives, but I always thought this would be a good combat knife, something that you could mount on the vest, or maybe even a better option would be the Ontario bayonet which actually would fit on MMP sport.

So this is what I’m running in the actual Pelican 1720 some of the criticisms. I guess, of course, would be a better knife. The foam itself was cut out a little last minute. I literally did this about 16 hours before I woke up at 5:00 a m to drive 17 hours to my new job, a new life. Another criticism is when I, when I was initially watching these videos on the pelican 1724 reviews.

Somebody mentioned that you should mount the scope or the optic towards the handle, so the weight doesn’t bear down on the optic which could lose it. Zero I kind of call BS on that I, don’t know if there’s any like hardcore sniper, guys out there or something that could lend credence to that. But if you google tell Pelican 1720 foam cutouts, almost every single one has it where, when you open it towards you, it’s displayed like this.

So who knows I’d like to run my AR is kind of wet. So this is a little dry, but I wanted to not. You know, dissolve the foam. This is probably my least ran AR, that’s probably less than a hundred rounds on it. So one of the things that I plan on doing is mounted with a single point. Sling I got the Magpul ASAP QD I’m gonna, put on there anyway. That’s my Pelican 1720 thought you might be interested in seeing that all right later.

Looking at the pelican 1720 case with foam black, this case comes in three colors, the black one, the desert tan and OD green. So let’s take a look at some of the features on the outside, so this particular case comes with four latches. These are the double throw latches. These are the classic style latches for Pelican cases, easy to open, easy to close and very secure.

You also have four holes up front that can be used to lock this case and secure it with a combination lock or something like that. As long as it can fit within these holes, anything will work. We do sell one, which is the 1506 t-s-a which I’ll link it below, but you can pick one up at any hardware store as well.

It has three handles two on the side, one on the top here they are all foldable with the smaller case than this has a fixed handle up top and one up here. So this one’s nice, because you have three points to carry it from now. These don’t have any like rubber, mold and grip on it. So they’re not as comfortable as classic cases like the regular style cases, but again they work for it just fine and a very durable and will last a while.

We also have the automatic pressure valve. So this is what keeps these cases equalized in pressure. So if you are going to high altitude, it will release the air, but won’t let any air or water in so that’s just automatic. You don’t have to do anything about it. There’s also a nameplate right here that you can have customize.

These cases will come with a little sheet. You fill it out, you send it to Pelican they’ll laser engrave, a name or whatever you want to put on it and you just slip it back in. So it’s a nice little feature that you can add to these things for travel or whatever it is that you’re wanting to do with it. On the back side, it does come with wheels, make it a nice and easy to transport this, and whatever else you have in it, it’s nice heavy-duty wheels see the bottom here on the backside.

You can tell the hinges, are heavy-duty and very protected with extra of the plastic molding, and everything like that. So again, these are military-grade cases used all the time thrown out helicopters and all those sorts of stuff, so they can withstand the abuse. Let’s go ahead and open this thing up check out the inside all right.

So in this case the lid actually folds all the way over, in the 1700 case, the one case smaller than this. It actually stops like that, like all their other cases, do so what’s nice about. This is when you do have gear, and everything in here it makes it. You know if it’s heavy, because this gets pretty heavy on this end, and so you don’t get the tipping in the lid.

You have one piece of solid foam and then on the bottom piece, you got two pieces of solid foam. So if you are familiar with the pelican pick and pluck foam it it’s kind of already pre-cut, so it makes it very easy for you to like trace out the gear pick it out, cut it out, but that does not come in these cases.

Not an option, and so you get these hide it’s a high density foam, which is nice, because these are mostly used for weapons. These are still customizable, so what you do is keep if this is gonna be used for like an AR of some sort. You would just keep the bottom foam in place, so you take the top foam put in your weapon, trace it out, cut it out with a nicest sharp knife and it works.

Just fine. What’s nice about this foam is that if you are putting something in here that you’re going to be taking in and out on a regular basis, it lasts a little bit longer because it’s a higher density also just like every Pelican case, there is the o-ring. This is what keeps these cases watertight and dust proof.

You always want to make sure that these things are in place and isn’t corroded or anything like that they are replaceable. So if something does happen to them, you just pull it out and buy one separately all right, so the 1720 is 42 inches on the interior, so that is like end to end. So when you do try to figure out what would fit best or if this case would work for your application, you just want to make sure that you are accounting for the foam padding around it.

So this case is 42 inches. You wouldn’t want to put something. That’s exactly 42 you’d want to cut it down to maybe 40, so you get about an inch and a half or so of room, maybe even smaller than that, just depending on what it is that you put it in here and how you want to protect it. So it’s a great case. It’s one of the most popular it’s mid weighting between the 1700 and 1750, and so it can be used for a lot of different applications.

So that’s it! That’s the Pelican 1720 with foam black. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. You can also just reach out to our customer service Pelican cases for less calm. You can also check out more case videos on our Channel and as always, thanks for watching.
