Hi I'm Erika flying country supply. If here today touched a little bit about dog boots so. You have a hunting dog. You know at some point you're probably gonna have to incorporate boots into a training program. Whether you're doing hard training season. Or during hunting season chances are you're running your dog often at. Some point another thing they're gonna acquire foot issues the best option for. That is a good pair of boots for them there's. Many options out there today I'm gonna be talking about the Lewes dog boots they're our best-selling boot. We carry handmade in Oklahoma they're good for a variety of different conditions saying snow ice. It doesn't matter they work well. All over the country for no matter. What sort of terrain. That you're hunting in, so they're a really nice boot. We like a lot the rubber. They do have traction on the bottom so. You don't have to worry about the dogs sliding around as much. They will stick to the ground fairly well with. And we're gonna show. You a neat way to put them on your dog it's its. One of the best ways. When using these to put them on. If it'll use some of our first aid wrappers. That wrap it's a great product. That will help these boots on your dog better. And have them more securely attached so. That your dog doesn't wind up throwing a boot. While they're out hunting first thing you're gonna want to do. When putting the loose dog boots on is put in a layer of first aid wrap. You want you're going to want to go fairly low on their feet just so you're covering up with a crack is gonna be in the boot.

You know you want to go a little high also so. You can see the boots have a pretty big split down the side that's to ease in. You know given make. It easier for you to put them on. And that's also why you're gonna want to wrap the first aid wrap low is to let your cover down low so. You slide it onto your dog's foot. And then what you're gonna want to do is take duct tape. And wrap it around. This split and that'll hold the boot on securely so. You don't have to worry about. It come off while your dogs running and because of the first aid wrap. You don't have to worry about the duct tape sticking your dog's leg. And then pulling a bunch of hair out. Whenever you take the boots off different manufacturers there're different ways to measure for your dog food with.

Everyone here is the rough we're ferny. This is a technical sweater knit fleece. This a lot when we're camping at night um. It gets really cold. And so it's great for just winter days cold nights it's super lightweight can pack down really nice and small so. If you're backpacking with your dog. You can throw one of their packs really nice fit Kona is wearing a size small there is a zipper here along the body to take on. And off top is a light loop. Either attach a light. We usually attach a bear bells there's a little bit of a cupped sleeve it's. Nothing too long and then as. You can see it kind of tapers down to the back end there's a kind of overlap so the zipper doesn't ever get to the dog's fur. And inside it's just the same as. This sheriff is coming out there. We go yeah so great sweater for the winter I'll show in comparison to the furni gonna come good job so. Ihave Callie who's wearing so. This is the 30 I have Callie who is wearing the climate change er. And the climate change er is a little bit different, so I'll just bring Callie.

And show on a good job so Callie is wearing the climate change ur so. Ijust wanted to be able to show. It side-by-side quite similar in the style in the shape. This is the rough where climate change er. It is a quick drying fleece really great for those active days in the winter. When it's really cold out there's a little bit of a sleeve streamline zipper along the body a light loop at the top. And there's an overlap so the zipper never meets the fur. These are really great for camping we take. These with us for when. We know it's going to be really cold overnight I'll show. You the furni which is a technical knit sweater. Both are great there's not really. That I'd pick over the other just be. Iguess pretty much preference on color.

Both are super lightweight so as. You can see both are quite similar. Both have that little bit of a sleeve. Both come quite up high on the neck so there's lots of coverage it's a long streamline sweater. That goes all the way to the end of the body at the base of the tail.

The herd of petted why harness is made from durable neoprene the harnesses are fitted with efficient 3m reflectors with the addition of a fastener the armpit padding stays in place. And dog is moving providing protection from the clip buckle thanks to the wide padding and ergonomic design the harness is comfortable. And does not cause where on the dog's fur. When a dog pulls on the leash the close-fitting harness distributes pressure evenly across the chest preventing damages to the dog's vertebrae the herd of petted wire harness is suitable for active locks for all dogs.

This is a necessarily review but it's a comparison of the two rough wear packs. Ijust got back from a three-day tr3 day hike back hiking trip with my dog. Ihave a golden retriever so. Both of these are the large extra large size. Ifigured I'm going to be sending this. One with the tag here I'm going to be sending this. One back I figured before. Isent them back before. Ikind of explain the difference. These are the two I was looking at. This is the Ruff wear Palisades. And our palisade this is the rough water approach they're actually fairly similar in size. Ibelieve for the extra large is. Ithink it's 18 litres. This is 16 litres so size wise they're pretty comparable the reason. Both of them is at first. Ithink retails for 129 that's. What I actually bought. It for and this was retail at 80 so 130. And 80 bucks $50 difference. One first but in getting my dog used to. It walks dude his nightly walks for quite a. While he'd be fine but then. Some weight in he wouldn't. Even make few steps. Ithought man this is a problem let.

Me try the Ruff wear approach maybe he'll walk in. And then I came to find out. It was just really the way. Iwas packing in so. Ikind of mentioned a little. Few things about that but. Iwanted to show those of. That are trying to decide. That is a pretty big difference in price. What the differences really are size-wise like. Isaid they're about the same but there are quite a. Few differences and I'm going to end up sticking with. Ithink size-wise this would be just fine for me. This is probably it in size but the extras. It comes with it definitely makes. It worthwhile so first I'll let's take a look at the approach comes with two causes obviously has the harness is between the two are very much the same so. This goes on the front the dog here underneath. You have some straps as. You compare the two of them you'll see. That the probably even the same basic harness the difference.

Though artis is this harness is removable from a pack so. Idid use that quite a bit on the backpacking part. They go through water. You know it was deep enough water. And opinion you pack the food in here. You know what have. You depend on what's in the pack. You may not want that way so. It only takes a about. You know 15 20 seconds. Or so of that to detach the pack from the harness. And leave the harness on the dog. And then as soon as. You get to the other side of the water. Or finish taking your break. You just click it back in. It doesn't take as long to put. Iwould say as this the harness itself, so I'd say that's. One plus for the palisades. And I'll shut I'll take. That off here in a bit actually. Ican take now I'm going to show. This kind of puck comes. That comes out just there're two clips here there're two clips in the front there's the same two clips in the back. And then there's actually underneath here.

You have some cliffs underneath the pouches. And probably easier to Stephenson's out underneath the pouch is there a couple Clips as well. That basically makes. That the pouch isn't flapping on top. And so that's that off you'll see here's the harness itself for the palisades. This stays on the dog the harness was pretty nice just in itself. You have a loop here which. This has also and then. You have the loop back here so perhaps. Even around camp you might want to have. That have this on to pin for dogs okay with. Ihad a flashlight glow stick. Igot a Walmart taped to. This for a while but then. Iended up not needing this in camp. This off my dog and it's.

Something real quick to know for those of. You I'm assuming that you've never had the backpack before for your dog. You don't need to cinch. This down like you would your own backpack. You don't need to cinch. It down tight on them. You want it to be tight enough so. It doesn't slide you know to. One side of the dog. Or the other as you're walking but. You want you know snug but not tight. And then you may have to adjust. It every you know quarter mile. Something like that which doesn't take very long but. It also allows the dog to kind of shake. And hit let him find his own position. You know work things out for himself just like. We are fine-tuning it in our own backpacks as. We walk so that's just a scientific. All right we don't need. This let you the differences in the packs themselves inside the palace are inside the rough the approach basically inside the pouch it's just a pouch there's. Nothing in here other.

Then an empty sack so. You have one pouch here totally empty. And on top of you do have a pouch here. It can't fit much for those of. You see these types of flipped out bowls before. You kind of get that gives. You an idea on the size. This does not fit very well in here. You can't really zip. You know you might be able to but you're going to risk a zipper. Idon't think you could actually set. It up — might be able to force. That gives you an idea. This is about probably. It looks like about five. And a half inches and with so it's not quite. That width for this pouch. This would be good for your leisure treats. That kind of thing the other side is exactly the same. You do have a couple of the daisy chain type things here.

Iguess strap something — I've seen. Some people put the dogs sleeping pad on top. Itry to do that with mine. You wanted nothing to do with. That so don't know what you would actually put on here. You can overload them the pack in weight so. Idon't know I would ever need to strap. Anything on there probably won't also just. Another tip for me what I found was easier at first. Iwould clip a lead to. Where his leash whatever to. This but then he got ahead. Or behind as the least gets pulled taut it's going to change the adjustment of the pack on the dog. It was much happier. Ijust let the pack on him. And then click the small lead to his collar. That way it did get pulled tight. It didn't change the adjustment of his pack. And make him uncomfortable just an idea there.

You know you find what your dog is tolerant of but. It made sense to you would let's look at the Palisades difference in the Palisades. Even the detaching the. This from the harness itself. That was worth quite a bit but there's a lot of extra stuff. That comes with the Palisades. That definitely I'm thinking you know. You probably want to buy a second pack so. You might want to go with. One thing I really like about. This is expandable even fully tight tightened. It had plenty of room for me but here. You have one pouch. And inside you have. This here is pulling here it'll relieve the pressure on the strap. You know you've got your straps here you've got to cinch straps. It goes through the pouch. And attaches to here pulling them. All the way tight it still held. Everything I needed for a three-day backpacking trip.

What I liked about these patches in addition to. That was this was a good spot for me to put his bowl fits in real easy. It also fits this his water bowl was high dribble. That I've got this is hit my dog's food bowl. And then this is the hydro Bowl. This lifting their really easy to no issues there that's. Iput in there kept. It cleans inside the pot inside the pack there's also two pouches just like in the approach the difference being this pouch is. Ithink exactly the same. Idon't know this would fit in here. Ididn't see you need to try. It looks like that is about the same width as the approaches top pack for me. Iput his leash in there. And I've had some glow sticks in here for nighttime. And then what else do. Ipack in here put some dog awesome mutt MIT in the end of. This power slope you do have a divider so. This one's a little shallower yep. It only goes up against his body as a has.

It looks like it feels like a little. You know little vinyl. That slick matera blanking on the name right. Now but basically it's a divider. You can push that to the side. And you've got access to the full pouch so. You don't have to use. You don't want to choose not to you've got a much bigger pouch here again. It expands quite a ways but. Ican't imagine you know. If a pretty big dog. Iguess to fully fill. Something may have that but for me. That was bigger than then my dog can probably handle. It looks like just looking comparing right. Now then think of it before. One also the Palisades also has a drainage hole here for so. If you've got some water in there's a place for the drain out comes out right here. And then it's got its only its seal around the top. And it's open on the bottom for the water to escape. And but rain wood it wasn't getting it so there's. And that's on both sides.

Both sides have they also have. Both have the daisy chain here so those are the differences with the packs. Ialso wanted to kind of throw a. Few things in here for those of. That are kind of just starting out. One thing I found with my dog is. You wouldn't walk I had put in a moose antler in there. And a rawhide bone for a big treat for when. You went there and then. Ithrew in a couple other things. He really wouldn't walk. And that's why I in the ordering approach thinking it was a problem of the pack but with the problem was with. Ipacked it rights so. Iwant to show I packed. You know it might get your dog started a little better first off. You get your pack whichever. You didn't choose doesn't matter but it's your choice. Ithink pallet a is well worth the extra 50 bucks. You can afford if you've been considering it.

You probably can afford. It is pricey this will last for a long time definitely abrasive abrasion resistant. You know my dog they don't realize. How much wider they are at first so definitely walking into blogs. And branches and bushes. That kind of stuff so also be careful. You know they got poison oak. And poison ivy or sumac. Where you're at you're probably going to have. It up aside along sides the pouch here by the end of the ship so. You know keep some tech new. Something similar with. You to wash that off so for my dog. What I did was I also have the Ruff wear of canine overcoat my dog loves to be in the water there's no keeping him out of. You go in the wintertime. You know if he's swimming at night. And tell him off, but he's still a bit wet he's got long fur so. He could it was cold at night. This would help dry off. This isn't what review. This product but it's a nice terry cloth inside. Or fleece inside sorry. And then I believe. This can push down some rain.

And then also this pretty cool gloop. You can slide in a glow stick. And then you can see. Where your dog's walking around. This is also reflective oh. That reminds these are also reflective pretty highly reflective on the dog as well as on the harness. All of these lines here also reflective so real high visibility in. That see here I believe. These are also reflective on your coach you've got. That unbolting on both packs. Some packing what I did which definitely. We went on the backpacking ship. It was a 180 degrees from the nightly walks were taking first off put two. You have the Palisades put the harness on him. You go for a few nightly walks then put an empty pack on the harness go for a.

Few nightly walks, so he's getting used to having on. And then start adding weight. Irecommend I brought my dog is. This jacket he carried his jacket his food oh that's. One other thing the Palisades comes with 2 1 litre water bottles. Where the approach is not so. This comes addition to the Palisades pack but does not come with the approach so here's. What I did back to packing is. Ifolded this went into. That pouch inside of. This pack so this goes right up against his body so. What he's feeling is. Something very soft. Iknow I'm not doing a great packing job here but it's trying to give. Me an idea of the profile of the shape of. That went in there so. These feeling of his body up against by. Something really soft. And then weight gets added which. He didn't mind the weight. It had up to about ten pounds. Iwas done with this jacket on. This side in order to keep.

It balanced which you definitely want otherwise as the dog walks it's going to start doing this on him. And you're going to constantly have to be adjusting it so on the other side. Ijust a microfiber fiber tala fur for me. It was just super absorbent so that's. What I had one in the other pouch on the other side. This gave a good starting point on the pack. And then I had his bags of food which. Iput in like those little snack packs. You might have for your kids I'm the little snack Ziploc bags. Remeasured them out. And then so I knew exactly breakfast lunch. And dinner which at home my dog. When he's breakfast dinner but out on the trail. You know he's working hard so. Iwant to make sure. Something some more energy at midday so. Itook those two meals. And divide it up into three who seemed to appreciate.

That out I also put. One water pouch on this side. One water pouch on this side the weight about. And again these are fully tightened right. We will expand and have plenty of. More room and then. You have plenty of room in here from our food from your room in here for food. And then I put is a water bowl on. One side and his people on the other side. And bridge I did bring some other stuff for him but. Ifigured I could carry. This weighted up about 10 pounding I was done for with water. Ifigured that's plenty for him to carry. Ibrought a couple of snacks. And stuff of our treats form to chew on a couple toy. Or a toy I just threw them my pack so. You know make your own decision but. This is about the profile for this a pack looks about. You know like I think that's okay in the camera a little bit hard for me to see but. Ibelieve that's okay so let. Me throw that in the approach so.

You can see that should do. Ido highly recommend espouse I'd say. Iwill be keeping this. Ireally like this back. Iwas really happy I figured out. How to get it packed so. That my dog was happy see so. This out a little good so. We can compare with loosely. Ijust do some areas so. We can get an idea of the size let. This out and after the palisade the pouches seem to look a lot bigger maybe. Because are not divided. They don't have extra collagen so. This would be a probably easier to pack to be honest with. You since we're going to have. That divider here's the profile the front profile for lips here's the front profile for the approach so that's the difference. That helped you out a little bit making the decision.

Either pack would be good. Both feel like they're made of the same material make sure. Both meet very have very long endurance your lifespan but for me the extra $50. This is worth it for me mainly because of the fit the divider is pretty nice but the water bottles worked out perfect the detachable pack was a huge selling point for me. And with many extreme crossings. You guys do I think that's going to be worth your own frustration. And putting the pack on. You know if they've got the pepper. They got the harness on already adding the pack on doesn't seem like much forum but you'll find. They don't mind they prefer to not have. You might find mention chasing your dog down to put the pack on.

You know you might think it's a gay matter depends on your dog my dog's great but. Ithink you'd much rather walk without a pack. He doesn't mind is so much. When it's on anyway make sure. That put you leave from home put. Both sides on a scale measure so. That about and then definitely take your dog out on a couple walks with. Some stuff in the pack so. He understands what's going on. Ithink the excitement of the backpacking trip will make him forget about. If he's never done it before. He might be a little confused. You know you want to find out. All the Gauchos before. You leave all the uniqueness to your dog so thanks again. And have a great time.

He wants and I'm also going to get a couple treats bearing it to make. It a nicer pleasurable experience for the door it'll be a job step. Everybody goes in so taking our time with the dog giving the dog affection giving the dog treats taking it off-putting it back on making sure. That it's a pleasurable experience for the dog. That he's got it enjoying having the backpack on. And associate in the backpack with good things so. This backpack sits on top of the webmaster harness. It has the five points of adjustment so. We can get a really good picture Barry really comfortable. And then these straps hide inside here, so they're not going to get dirty.

This is a nice little feature. Once the backpack is on. This here is a little clip. That goes on there and that's going to secure the backpack to the harness. When the dogs out walk in exploring so it's going to attach. It to there and the backpack is not going to be flying around.

so this is our Palisades paddock. This is a perfect pack for a multiple day backpacking trip for a day hike. Or for an overnight er there're tons of storage with. This pack it's built off of the web master there's a lot of great features with. That make it really easy to use. When you're on your back packing trip like. Isaid there're tons of storage. This pack comes with two soft bladders to store your water in separate pockets for those full in their like. Isaid tons of storage be careful. When you're loading up your dog. We recommend about 20% of your dog's weight is the max. They should carry pay attention to your dog's body movements. You know if the pack is too heavy maybe. They won't move maybe. They don't want to stand up maybe. They don't want to go uphill. Or downhill so pay attention to those things. Another great feature with. This pack is it has cinching capabilities. This is really important. When you're on the trails. You start using water. And food the way it can become uneven which can drag on. One side on the dog which can cause problems with the performance of the pack so. You pull these two straps here cinch. It nice and tight creating it a really low profile really snug on the dogs need to zip. It up keep it nice and tight. You have extra little pockets here. You need a store you know. Another Bowl whatever maybe. We have hangers here. You want to attach you know like a dog jacket your jacket on the outside.

We have to leash attachments. You have the aluminum d-ring here. And then you have the webbing on the back here so my favorite feature about. This pack which makes. It different all of our other packs. We offer it's a saddle bag actually comes off of. That furnace so these nice little metal buttons ha. And the saddlebag comes right off here. This is a great feature so. When you're on your trip. And you're done with your hike. And you're settling up camp. You can take the pack off. Now your dog can roam around with your webmaster harness. Everybody I'm Scott Daughtry with the dog outdoors. And today we're taking a look at the Ruff wear Palisades dog pack. This happens to be one of my favorite packs. We carry and there's a. Few things that said. It really set it apart from the other packs. We carry I want to show. You real quick up close so the first is. That the pack itself the pack portion can be separated from the underlying harness. This makes it really convenient. You know some people are looking for a good dog harness. And also a pack well you've got the best of. Both worlds with one so let's take a look at how easy. It clips on you look right up under here there're two snaps on. Either side that connect the straps. And kind of help secure the pack down so there's not too much shifting you just release. This same thing on the other side. And then there's only four clips two on. Each side you just unclip. And there if you've looked around on our website at. You might notice this looks very similar to the Ruff wear web master harness. And basically it is exactly the same as the Ruff wear web master only difference is. That you've got these clips to attach to so it's really nice. You can use this harness separately from the packs maybe. You want to take your dog hiking biking for mobility assistance. This is just a great all-around harness. And the built-in handle makes. It great for lifting over obstacles getting in. And out vehicles the there's padding on.

This front chest portion. And also on the two straps. That go on the other side of the dog there's padding here as well it's gonna prevent. Any rubbing issues you've also got five points of adjust ability so. It you've got one two three where's the. And then oh poor five so. You can really get the fit customized to your dog make sure. That it's beefs nice and secure. And comfortable on your dog. All right so that is the underlying harness. Now let's take a look at the pack portion so. You can see up top it's got a nice breathable see. We can see that mesh material. Idon't know you can see through. Or not on the video but it's a durable mesh material that's breathable you've got.

You know reflective stripping throughout for low-light visibility as well here you've got. This ample storage so you've got a couple different portions of the pack to store stuff there's your top portion notice. These have water resistant zippers so it's made to not let water into the inside of the pack have a little top portion up here store. Some smaller items this is the main portion of the pack fit stuff in their notice. It comes with a 1 liter water bladder so. You can fill these up with water bring them along maybe throw in. One of our collapsible dog bowls. You can have water on the go. This is there's either side so. You see there's quite a bit of storage in there so.

What the size we're looking at right. Now is the large extra-large size. This front portion it basically mirrors itself on the other side so what's on. This side is it's basically exactly on the other side as well so. Another area to fit items in it's also got a load distribution I'm not sure exactly. What you call this but. This is basically for tightening down the load. Once it's on your dog yeah further help prevent. Any shifting if you're going to be. You know going on the rugged terrain. And uneven slopes and things like. You can make adjustments here to. And there're instructions to tell. How to get it properly fitted for you to. How to use the loaded distribution straps as well. That come with it okay here's Parker in his Palisades pack. Ijust loaded it up with. Some random stuff just to kind of give. You an idea of what it looks like. All filled up boy Parker good boy. Ialso wanted to show. You the obviously through the top. You can connect your leash.

Iforgot to mention. That earlier and then. Ialso misstated these are called the load compression straps so. You do is once it's on your dog pull. These real tight on. Either side just pull. It tight it's going to compress the load against your dog's body just to make. It shifts less also want to show. You keep stay still Parker see. Ican get it into the main pack portion hang on boy it's kind of hard one-handed but. Iwanted to show you the water bladders. You know you just unscrew the top cap. And fill it up it's very simple. And then you know it's just like your standard water bottle anywhere. That anyway there's the Palisades pack. And it's great for you know overnight from things like overnight hikes. All the way down to just. Some extra weight to your dog for better exercise it's just really an all-around great combination harness.

All right this review has been a long time coming I've gotten. Several about people seeing max with a different pack on. And different gear what they recommend. Ihonestly wanted to give. This pack more time to really fully appreciate. This is the Ruff wear bring out the other. And here's the pack it's the Palisades. Now his previous pack was a rough gear pack. It worked pretty well I'm not going to say. It was perfect I was always in my head looking for ideas to improve. One thing the reason. Iwent with ruff here. You look is one of our very first videos. Iever did probably know seven. Something whatever I started. This YouTube thing I talked about their harness. Some friends that were in search-and-rescue. They pretty much used Ruff wear exclusively there are a. Few very specialty dog companies out there. That are designing stuff specific for police dogs search-and-rescue dogs. Even tactical dogs military dogs over. And Iraq and stuff but there. That accessible to the everyday adventurer back pack guy. You know they're also really expensive. This Palisades is on the upper end of the dog packs it's literally sort of the Cadillac. You will of a lot of the recreational dog packs it's won a lot of dog packs strive for I do think the granite gear has made. Some improvements with their long haul. Ithink is what it's called but I'd already purchased. One about the same time. One came out they also have a climbing harness. That is somewhat similar to. This the sternum is a larger area here on the webbing along with the belly has a little bit.

More fabric you can see. This has basically a chest front sternum. And around the ab you know very soft. All the webbing is pretty much covered. It makes any contact the couple improvements. They have made which. Ireally appreciate as. You can see right now the harness is separate from the pack. And that's huge being able to take the pack off. And leaving the harness on is great especially. If you've attached lights. Anything on here the only issue I've had a little bit is. Iwish the buckle was a little bit stronger in locking it seems to. Me it's a little too easier to pull out. And that's not just exclusive to rough. Where you're going to find out with a lot of backpacks. And outdoor gear they simply have a cheaper buckle. And the lock here isn't strong enough to keep. That webbing pulled tight sorry had. Someone at the door um we're we're ready on the buckles. Idon't fault them you know. Ithink there's improved buckles but again.

It increases the price down the road my only real suggestion on the harness would to be making different size packs fit the same harness. If you'll notice on the bottom here. One frame is the buckles aren't adjustable. They buckle into the harness so the large harness will fit the large bag with. Me not really wanting to load down max as much. Ifirst got the tan bag. Iwas looking for a smaller pack but. Istill wanted a good frame the problem with the other rough wear. Ihad done last summer was the frame wasn't great the suspension the harness wasn't as good as the webmaster here. You can't buy this separate but. It won't come with the buckles that'd be. Another suggestion is. It set up for a pack. Now down the road I'm a so a small bag. Even put on I don't have right here. Some small bags I've sewn on. You know work in some snaps. That could be done but pretty impressive so far the other thing with the bottom you'll notice is there's.

Some velcro attachments. Something that had needed to be done in dog packs for a very long time. That does is secured to the webbing down here. It keeps there's our alarm going off. It keeps the pack from flopping up which was. One of my pet peeves. That helps it slides. And round that you'll see on a lot of dog packs. If things will get a little off wobbly. And low off kilter and part of. That is not being really attached but except for right at the top so. This pack solves that very nicely. Now let's get away from the TARDIS. And get to the pack I'll put links to the website. Idon't remember the top like the details cubic inch storage. And stuff like that right off the bat. You can see the top is a nice mesh very breathable mesh really like. This is a like hypalon rubber sling attachment so.

You can add their pack their dog bag there his bed. You can actually attach things on top which is pretty handy. What I've gotten here is a kind of increased version of like the light they're still having here. Iused to velcro on with. These little velcro straps the light gear light. Ican actually put into the Phoenix headlight. It holds onto the side pack very nicely. You can actually in fact leave the hold. This out you can leave the flashlight part on. It does help illuminate a little bit in front of them just a little bit nicer. Than strapping, it in the middle. And seems to function very well. All right you've seen his first-aid survival pack yeah I'm not going to go through the contents. Icarry a lot of this stuff was in here from last hike his dog light I'm still loving the Ruff wear baby bowl lightweight heavy-duty that's an example for storage the medium orange stuff sack of the outdoor products.

Iremember the leader capacity right offhand I've actually got. This scrunched down before. That I'm going to show. This outside pocket here can fit treats leashes car keys a little bit smaller flatter things but. Where you're going to find in here is a very inventive system. Something that needed to be done for a very long time. That is a compression strap inside the pack. You guys haven't fallen by channel for a. You guys know I was actually planning on putting some sort of compression strap on the previous row for pack. Ilearned this basically had 90% of the things. Iwas going to do to the old pack well. Ijust decided to get. This pack I would love. If they came in the rei t tan. They did the other someone should get. It in their just tighten up straps. That keeps any load like I've been keeping max with a lot of stuff lately so.

That compressed way down so. He doesn't have these big floppy bags out here. It sucked into the side of his body works out great. If he's going to work. More no that's not even totally full. You can see there's a little bit. More room in there but. That bag nicely that compresses. This whole side plate up against his side body so. That stuff is stored in there perfectly. Now here's one thing I think. You should carry your stuff in a dry bag. It would add a great amount of flotation to a dog especially with. These straps on here to help keep. This pack down sucked on to the harness. You had to dry bags full his gear. He could probably float by himself. Ihaven't worked out the buoyancy issues with. That but something we're playing with. You know we'll see down the road but very impressed. Now with all the little nitpick things there are. Some cool features with. And you're going to notice there's.

This zipper in here so. You could actually see. That in there and the zipper goes to an inside pouch. That inside pouch is made to hold ruff wears own half liter water bladder basically a Camel back it's meant to be close to the body to help regulate the body temperature. You know you fill us up with ice-cold water right next to their side. And it's going to help keep them cool in the summer. Ithought it was a pretty cool idea there is a small little rubber flap down here. And you'll find a small zipper. And from that zipper. You can actually work out. You can work the poor spot out so. You can just take the dogs pack off from its harness. And open up this valve. And fill up the water dish let him. You know get his own drink of water there is a small drain hole with a flap on the bottom.

That was so you do use. He does cross the river it's not going to hold the water it'll fall out here's issue number. One of these got a pinhole leak in. Iresearched it's happened to a lot of people so it's. One issue rough where it's got to get sorted out um the single track with the REI tan had basically a platypus bag. That was designed with rough wear logo on. Although it is very cool to have. This tube come out I really think. That's a better way to go. Iknow the REI and Ruff wear would replace. This but I'm just going to carry the platypuses in there for one. Ican take this off. You don't have to take the stuff out. You can just get the water by holding the pack that's fine. One issue I had is. This is made to have hangers just like inside your pack you've got a little hook told the Camelbak. This pack does not have. Any way to secure that water bladder so overall. That is a fail that said. Ithink that's about the only real fail with the pack it's carrying capabilities it's compression.

You know other things are a little nitpicky. Ihave had the buckles loosen up on. Ido wish it came in a not so bright color. Idon't worry about max. You know needing that sort of color. Ijust like earth tones. It doesn't have to camouflage. Ijust like earth tones. And that's why I love. That single track but. You know it really is just a load hauler. Now the smaller I believe it's the approach is a little bit slender not quite. All the same features but. It you're still able to pack. That pretty well I think without. That compression packing those bigger bags you're going to have. That flopping issue. And between the compression. And the loop that goes on ties on to the harness it's a very stable ride. And I'll put in pictures. And stuff but this has been a long review coming he's had.

This pack for quiet. Some time and I'm pleased with. It the only thing that I've really actually done. That wasn't original is I'm not going to use their bladders I'll put in the Platypus. Even then you could still work the platypus out. They make hydration hoses for the tips of platypuses. That plastic is just a little bit. More well-known and heavy-duty then. You know even know who made. This bladder for them but. That it's happened for up to a lot of people. You know that's just my two cents.
