The Best 11 Inexpensive Snowboard Helmets & Goggles for Ladies

A reliable helmet is a significant part of snowboarding gear. It seems to be easy but there are some points you should consider. Otherwise, your helmet won’t provide proper protection.

The helmet should fit snug around the head. To check it, put the helmet on and shake your head from side to side. Shifting of the helmet means that you have chosen the too large size. Try a smaller one.

High-quality goggles are not less important as a helmet and other gear. Their main assignment is to protect your eyes and skin around them from wind and snow. Also, there are additional features which can be helpful: lens type, tint/color, frame size, interchangeable lenses.

So here we have the brand-new and on WM One goggle. Its brand-new for 2015 and it features one of the best things we’ve ever seen on a pair of goggles. This has a sparkle lens so it’s cut from a sphere shape and that maximizes your peripheral vision and gives you really good optic clarity in all directions it’s what we’d. Call a medium to a large sort of fit for a female face so you do get that. Slightly oversized look but it’s super comfortable and it really fits well on most face shapes.

It comes with a micro fiber goggle bag so that case is useful for transporting it around and keeping the goggles safe and also for cleaning the lens as well. These also do come with a spare lens so you can keep the spare lens in the kit in the case when you’re traveling around to keep it nice and secure.

The best feature on these goggles is the lens change system. It is the fastest lens training system we’ve ever seen on a pair of goggles what it has is it has 14 rare-earth magnets based around the inside of the goggles so you pinch the frame slightly off comes the lens pick up the other lens and let out. It back on like that and it snaps into position and you can change the lens on these things in a matter of seconds.

It also means you don’t get your fingers on the frame on the goggle as well so you keep your lens nice and clean fingerprint free the wm one also comes. With integral clarity technology so you get really good optical clarity and you get a spare lens as well with every single pair you get wall-to-wall vision. So again that’s minimal frame intrusion around the side i mean that’s maximized by the fact that this is a frame less design as well so that’s the a WM One goggle.

My name is johnny! We’re here at an Outdoor Retailer Snow. We’re at Sweet Protection. It’s a norwegian company that’s kind of just launching our snow helmets here in North America for 2018. We have the switcher just won the ESPO Gold Award. It’s an advanced Hybrid Shell construction which means that it’s part in mold and part shell offer some unique protection.

We like to balance rigidity with elasticity to dampen the energy of the impact. We have multiple different densities of foam eps foam on the inside. We have a close working relationship with mips technology we believe in. What they’re doing we have some unique one-turn ventilation. System audio ready retails for 219 and. Then to 49 for the mips version.

Okay, tell me what mips is a multi-directional impact protection system so a lot of impacts are linear? Right, so a linear kind of direct on so mips solves for rotational impacts so a. Lot of a lot of the impacts that you hit when you hit snow or rocks or whatever it might be it might not be directly straight they’d be from the sides so what mips is a low friction layer. Between your head and the helmet that. Slides and allows for some of that. Rotational energy to get transferred to the helmet and not to your neck. And award if the advanced technology and. The attention to detail we recommend me to replace your helmet every three to five years due to uv breakdown yeah awesome and we’ve got some.

Yes, some nice colorways there you go but these one so you’ve got mips and a knot men non-mips version, correct? Yes, so the ones with the shiny. Or the myths i know what you’re looking for with the mips versions is you’re looking for this little yellow dot okay that’s kind of their trademark sign so are you going to be sacrificing safety if you’ve got a non mips version we. Believe in the technology yep and we think that it’s worth you know save twenty or thirty bucks on your jacket or your socks and throw down for mips. Because it’s technology that’s data-driven and proven.

It’s not subjective like how its key fields or snowboard fields its mips and collecting. Data on rotational forces for over twenty years, and they’re experts and, and we believe in what they do i. Mean projectors kind of the high end for. Well it’s because we’re we’re users we. Like to say we make products for people who really use them and it’s its it’s a. Very sort of data-driven business like you can actually measure the results we’ve had some good independent third-party testing that that shows that what we’re doing is pretty unique, and we take head safety. Seriously yeah sweet protection.

Hi everybody! Sean Sewell with in-game accom here. We are our here in Colorado testing out the Sweet Protection Trooper Nips helmet. This orange guy right here this has a really sweet home for a lot of reasons. Yes, it has mips technology so that goes with your head and all that wonderful stuff, but they have a dual density system that will go into further details in the written review below but essentially it has different kinds of foams in different places to best. Protect your head in any given situation.

One of our favorite features of this helmet is its compactness. It’s very streamlined compared to La Blair helmets. This is a size small medium up to 55 centimeters is what they recommend my head’s right at 55 centimeters so it fits me very snugly. It’s almost too snug but just about right there’s no gapping moving back and forth.

It is dialed in history. I’m Valentina, can battle in back here to adjust as you probably saw back here the goggle strap is easy to use big old snap right there. Goes into place there are air bands right here. You can easily manipulate back and forth where are they.

They circulate all the way through the helmet. It’s pretty lightweight as well. It’s like the ultimate protection it’s really high-end well how they msrp on a given website. Below here some cons a little bit of gap in with the smith io7 goggles just a slight bit you can feel a breeze a little bit not, they’re not a game changer.

One of my favorite features though is actually the ear pads. They’re not as well insulated as some of the helmets but that’s to our benefit here the back country cuz I can hear my tour buddies a lot better, so they’re nice ear. Pads they go right to hear very well by key here very well — so big plus my book. Overall great helmet from a great. Company a lot of technology packed into this puppy they’ve made to keep you safe from impact we’ll have all further specs. On the review below an endearment calm. Have fun and safe season take care. You.

Everybody shawnsmith in gear Montcalm we are testing out seat protections igniter. Mips helmet now last year we tested out. Suit protections trooper mips helmet it’s a fantastic helmet they sure test out the igniter and although they have it as one step lower or price wise in their catalog i don’t think it gives up any major features and in fact i personally like it better than the trooper for a few reasons I’m gonna go over that a little bit detail so let’s take it all in here it is the igniter. Mips stands for multiple impact protection system what does that mean to you keep your brain safer well make you. Smarter but should you get in an accident it helps pivot a little quicker and it’s just it’s just better for you okay we’ll have the link up next below has a lot of. Features you probably saw that’s here really cool there’s only two ways to adjust these two things right here boom open close go through a whole. System right here keeping your head nice and warm on cold days like today or cool. One on warm days sometime later on in the year so also you’ll see back here. Your goggle straps in place and it’s. Been goggle compatible Aragon with testing so far these are the zeal goggles with me have them in review here’s a minute the biggest ones we have. In the test, so we figured what we want here you can see no gaper gap so of course it fits Smithson spies and harness all that they fit great so little. Features make this great us hairy people. With beards this chat strap of super soft against your skin and even as little rubberized pull over here to keep it easier to do with your big old gloves off so little things like that going a long way cool feature that like with suit protection besides I’m using mips and no great construction is the air pads you can hear i feel like you can hear better than you can other helmets and that’s really kept in the back country user comms and your check and andrea is trying to be observant of the terrain and conditions around you and you have dogs with you bark and you wanna you want to be present i like having that ability to hear better that’s really important to me whatever so anyways this. Is a the sweet protection igniter mips. Helmet it’s the size large personal take. Away I’ve learned last two years of sea protection size up their sizing charts a bit it a. But on the lean side so this is a size. Large and it fits my head better usually size media another helmets but large with these guys also word of advice just. Get the damn helmet sue protection helmets are legit there are european company to get more attraction here in america, and they should great ok helmets. So here we go sue protection item its helmet will have. All the nerdy tech specs below one and gherman calm as well as best places to purchase it to get you the best deal if. What issues you can face when choosing snowboard goggles?

Using the most appropriate goggles depends not only from your choice but also from weather conditions. Nevertheless, there are some points telling that you have chosen the wrong variant:

  1. The lens color decrease the visibility / too strong tint;
  2. They are not compatible with your helmet;
  3. They move and don’t fit tightly.

We suggest you buy a helmet and goggles beforehand so you can check their fit. It will give you more time and abilities for choosing the best set.
