This chat Ferguson learned to catch catfish calm. And I'm going to show. You today a product. Ijust recently started using called a Berkley portable lion spooling station. It just recently had about half my fish. And rails cleaned and serviced. Ineed to respawn these reels with fresh fishing line. Istripped everything off. Ipulled these reels out of service to clean. And maintain I wanted to go ahead. And put fresh line on them so. Ihave my Berkley portable line spooling station here have a roll of offshore angler tight line 20 pound test fishing line. And a big pile of reels. And I'm going to go through here. And show how to use. This Berkley portable line spooling station so. This is the line spooling station. You can see here everything stores away nice and neat inside of. This product just going to loosen up. This little not here. And rotate this around. This little arm will come out of here for spoke from the storage area. These goes let's see here every time. This I'll do it the wrong way down inside here. This product also comes with a Berkley line stripper.

You don't have one of these. This is a great little tool. One is actually a little different. Than the that I've bought in stores. Ihaven't put any batteries in. Because I've got one actually out in my shed but. This is a great little tool for stripping fishing line off of reels also has a little hook sharpener here on the end of. Idon't ever sharpen hooks. Most of the hooks you buy nowadays are chemically sharpened. And don't really need. Any sharpening other. Than what they come with, so I'm going to take my line here. This assembled and put my spool line on here. One thing I will say. Ihave found so far about. This product I do not like is. Itypically by very large spools of fishing line.

It would not accommodate. These large spools of line so. Ihad to go to a quarter pound spool of fishing line for. That purpose so what I'm doing here is just tightening this up. Ishould have left that line taped down is tightening these little deals up here so there's plenty of tension on. That spool of fishing line. And I'm going to line. This back up here make. This a little bit easier so. Idon't have this excess line. That I'm working with anytime your spooling a fishing reel. You always want to make sure with a bait casting reel. That you're spooling over. This way onto the reel not under. And onto the reel, so I'm going to put my reel here into the reel seat on the reel spooling station.

And just tighten this down. And then I'm going to go ahead. And run my line here through my line guide on my reel. And wrap it around my spool. This is the hardest part of the whole process is getting my big hands down inside of here the easiest thing I find to do with. These is just to tie a real simple slip knot like. And then you can just pull on. This line and tighten. It up real good I always fasten my line to my reels. That way and then cut. That off all right so. That I'm all set up I've got my line on here got my line of fix to my real running through my line guide on my Garcia 6500 c3. And I'm just going to go through here. And turn and continue to spool. This fish and reel up. Iused to always run a pencil through the spool of fishing reel. And hold it with my toes in between my feet. This is definitely a lot. More comfortable than doing. That okay so now I've got.

This real completely fooled here. And I'm just going to cut my fishing line here. And remove this reel from the spooling station. What I like to do is just tie a little knot here in the end of. This line just a simple overhand knot double. It up here with a little loop in. Ijust put my line around the bottom of the reel foot here. And secure it nice and tight like. That way I don't have to worry about. It come loose before. It on my rod all right so again. This is called the Berkeley portable line spooling station. You know it comes again with. This line stripper the line stripper alone. This separately in a store cost about fifteen dollars. I believe maybe ten dollars. It is included with. This product it's got an instruction strict sheet here on the bottom of the product so. You don't have to worry about keeping up with. Ithink overall it's a great product. Ireally don't have.

Any complaints about. All it's definitely made spooling my fishing reels much easier as. You can see everything folds back up stores nice and compact here inside of the spooling station. And the only complaint again. Ihave about it would not accommodate the larger spools of fishing line. Itypically use because the hole here. And the center of the line was too big, so I'm not actually going to take a wooden dowel. I find a wooden dowel. That will fit down inside of there. Ican drill a hole straight through. Ican hack this thing so. It will accommodate those larger schools of fishing line full review. More tips and tricks on fishing for catfish go to learn to catch catfish com.

I've been Joyce here with Berkeley. And I'm here today to talk to. You about a new exciting product from Berkeley that's gonna be available fall of 2018 it's the Berkeley line stripper max normally you'll look at taking line off your spools. When you're ready to refuel is not a big deal but. You have big reels or plenty of them to do. It can cause real headaches. What this tool offers is a quick convenient way. When matched with a power drill can quickly strip multiple reels in a matter of seconds so to attach the line stripper max to the drill use the adjustable Chuck on the drill with the included bit. That is built into the line stripper. While holding the Chuck simply turn the drill until. It locks on and you're ready to use from there take the line from your spool put. It through the cut that is actually on the line stripper tie a quick knot to secure.

Everything together loosen your spool. And open your Bale and start stripping so. One cool feature on. While you're pulling line off every. Once in a you hit a knot. Something moves in it stops. You from actually being able to pull line off. We actually built a safety feature into. This D spooler so when line does catch. It doesn't harm your drill. Or your spinning reel so. All the line off of your spool onto your line stripper simply detach. And our integrated end cap comes right off with a simple twist. You can pull all of your line off. And safely dispose of. You have a Berkeley recycling station please use. They can be found all along the coast at a variety of marinas. And boat ramps or simply make sure. They get into a recycling container so. What this is something. Ithink a lot of people should have. It cuts your line you got to do is slide up hold. It to the line and there. More demonstration just for the road just like.  Cancer and Reproductive Harm- www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

This is my product review of the Berkeley portable line spooling station. This as a Christmas gift. Ihave used few times. I wanted to share my thoughts with. This product first of. Ithink it's very well-designed. And a great concept a great idea it's very compact. And it's got a thing to hang. It on your pegboard for storage. When you're not using it well lets's get into the review first of. All I'll go into this thing is set up has the. These two extendable arms let. You lock out like once you've done. You can just pull on those until. That clicks into place then there are two additional arms. You lock into place. That are going to hold a metal rod. You actually put your new spool of wine on to in order to reel. It onto your reel and I'll go over. That in just a second. That rod is stored in the back of the unit right here underneath. This sliding button. You just open it up like. And the air rod slides right out. And then you can put. It into place here first I'm going to show.

How to put line on a spinning reel. You do not use the entire reel with. This with this setup. You just take the spool off of the reel. And then this part of the spooling station has three rubber grippers here. That are used to actually hold. That spool in place. And the way that is by loosening these three wing nuts here. And then rotating these two plastic plates until their tight onto. That spool and I'll show. You just rotate that open. And then that loosens. And then you take the spool. You want to put line on two. You rotate them until those rubber grippers are snug. You just simply tighten down the wing nuts then. You take this entire piece right here.

You simply secure it into the unit by pulling backwards on. This spring-loaded handle here. You take your new line put. It on to the metal rod. And here's the one feature of. This product some questions about. Iwill explain you further. This little arm right here is spring-loaded. It has a rubber pad on. It that's designed to hold tension on your new spool of line so. It doesn't backlash as you're reeling lying off of. And it's a great idea. And but I'll show in a second. Some concerns about. That okay you can probably already grasp the concept here. Ihave my real spool back here on the rotator. Ihave my line here but. You get your line tied onto your spool you're simply just going to rotate the handle. And pull a line off of the new line off of the spool down at. That end and on to your real spool until. You have it full then.

You take that off it back on your reel for a bait caster the same concept you're just simply going to take the entire reel. And lock it into place much like. You would on a fishing rod. And just simply peel your spool directly from the air reel at. That end here's what I wanted to show. You guys I don't know. You can see or not but the line there has. Some dark flecks on. It looks like dirt. Inoticed I was reeling. That spool it seemed like the line was getting dirty. Iwondered that was coming from since. It was a brand-new fishing line. What I discovered was. This rubber pad back here on. This tension arm was heating up. And deteriorating and those are little pieces of rubber from. That pad that we're sticking to my fishing line. Idon't know if that's going to be a problem. Iget out on the water certainly hope not. Iwonder I could have prevented. That by spraying some silicone spray. Some line conditioner on there at. Any rate that might be worth a second look from the designers at Berkley a great idea about worried about.

That rubber pad well. That concludes my review on the Berkeley portable line spooling station let. If you've used this product before comment below. You have any ideas about. That problem with that rubber pad. You liked this video please hit the thumbs up. And don't forget to subscribe.

 Cancer and Reproductive Harm- www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

I've been Joyce pen brand manager here to tell. You about a new exciting launch. We have for fall of 2018. This is the pen HD line wonder. What this really is its a line winder option. That is able to put the amount of pressure on the line. You need for spooling up big game reels. All know the easiest thing to do for big game reels is to have them spooled in the shop. Or on a mechanical line wander but there's always. That case you need. Or two extra reels and you're in a bind for time. You need to do it yourself. This is your solution assembly is extremely easy. This side you never have to worry about. You never actually have to take. It off but you do have a spring which gives. You tension a metal keyed washer a carbon washer. And your drag forcing code next. You add your spool you can use. Anything from these big five pound bulk spools to two pounders. Even smaller to 300 yard filler spools on.

This side first you'll add your metal drag cone. And make sure that the spool is centered next you'll add your carbon fiber washer your metal keyed washer your plastic washer. And finally your tightening knob. This is fully tightened down you'll be able to regulate. How much tension is actually put on the spool. You can test that using a simple pant held scale so. You can see I have tension on here. And to start spoiling simply open up. These legs that arm will slide right in there. And you're ready to spool first thing. You want to do is actually measure the amount of pressure that's gonna be on the line the easiest way to do. That is with a handheld scale simply tie a loop in the end of the line. And just pull against. You get up into higher pound tests. Whether it's 40 50 60. Even weigh up to 100. You probably want to max. This out around 10 pounds 10 pounds of pressure is a lot. It seems and it's than adequate for spooling up big game rules so. You are running a bigger game reel.

You are using above 5 pounds of pressure on. This the best idea is to use a c-clamp. Or a friend you can simply clamp. This down to a table. Or have your friend hold. You continue spooling your reel. And you'll have no issues so. This line spooler is adequate for a variety of different reels from spinning reels to level wines bigger lever drag conventionals. Even big offshore reels today for demonstration purposes I'm going to be doing it on a spinning rod so to spool a spinning rod simply pull the line off the spool go through your guide make sure. That your Bale is open. And tie your knot to your arbor. And simply start really you'll get perfect line leg. And have the tension on the spool to resist the line digging in. You hook up to a big fish pay attention to the manufacturer's suggested line capacities pen reels. We suggest going to the third line capacity ring which indicates a full spool to finish off simply cut the line up here so.

You can tie off onto your rod. And to store your HD line winder simply pull the arm support our fold the unit together the unit will keep tension on itself for the next time. It so look for it at your local retailer fall of 2018
