What we're going to do is we're going to shoot the Rocky Mountain advantage okay in my backyard there is a steel trash can right there, so we're going to shoot the Rocky Mountain advantage. And we're going to shoot. One of its competitors we'll just call the competitor fuzzy, so we're going to shoot. It 30 yards out of my elite energy 35 65 pound lens 30 inch draw Rocky Mountain 5 pin dovetail shoot the Muzzy first so hunter green Ozzie. Both of these are being shot with a black eagle renegade weight at 509 grains so do the Muzzy first here. We go listen for the bang. What it is I can see rocky mountain with broad head arrow weight 509 grains see well sir okay let's go see. How badly okay, so we're at the trash can pretty nasty trash can whose yard clippings. And then it rained. It pretties nasty soup in there so. It stinks my gosh is. It stinks so down in the nastiness. This is the muddy this is the Rocky Mountain advantage there's the entrance hole. And the entrance hole for the multi but the Rocky Mountain.

When a good four or five inches farther. And the good ol Ozzie so let. These out then we'll inspect them okay so first the muddy. You guys can see it every. One of those Ozzie blades is Nick says. One has a crack in it Alan looks like a Salt Lake. Iwould not shoot these at. Any living animal so Ozzie is destroyed. And then the Rocky Mountains still sharp let. These blades I would still shoot. This without us out at. Any whitetail I come within 30 yards then that's a confident 430 yards in the mountain only reason is.

Igot a lot of trees. And branches so Rocky Mountain advantage will help.

Hey guys it's AJ from Bob. And AJ's archery world last week. Some testing with a bunch of different broad heads on a steel drum we've had a lot of questions a lot of comments. Even quite a few phones calls asking about the performance of different heads. Ijust want to talk to. You about another broad head. Istarted playing with today. This is a ram cat Diamondback. This is the hunter green version which is a 1. And 1/16 cut never really played with. This is a three-blade broad head the blades are on a single bevel so as. This goes into the foam target. Or an animal this is actually corkscrewing in the damage it's doing to my foam targets is unbelievable. It a single bevel another thing I liked about. It the back side of the blade is also a sharp so. Now for whatever reason. You didn't get a full pass through. This arrows inside of an animal working its way back it's cutting as it's coming back the accuracy of. This broad head is what just really impressed. What I want to do right. Now telling you this is put. It through 2 steel drums. Iwant to see these blades handle the steel drum let's walk over here give. This a go and then at roughly ten yards 17 elbows so main ritual dirty dancing role every won't put. This ramp through well we've got a clean pass relates held up on the entrance hall. We got a nice three bladed cuts on the entrance hole. What blades did fail. And didn't stay intact as the arrow went through the backside but. One thing I can tell. You out of all the arrows. We had shot into this barrel. This is the first and only.

That has made it through the backside so that's saying a lot of right there the penetration of. This arrow is by far exceeded every other broad head. We have tried on the same as egg set up. Now like I said the blades did shear out but. We got a nice three blade entrance holes here. Ican pull this out so. Ican't really get this out in. One piece but we have three blades. That opened it punched a nice hole in. And I'm pretty impressed with. This broad head so again. This is a ranked RAM cat Diamondback a hundred grain. This is good I'd say we're doing pretty good I'm not the world's best shot but. Iwould say that is pretty good actually hit the bull's eye. Iwas aiming at with the broad head. What exactly do we want to see. This go through and tear up our first choice was a deer but seeing is it's not deer season. We were a little disappointed on. That we couldn't put. One through a deer our second choice would have been a turkey scene. That is his opening day of turkey season here in Mississippi. We went out we hit the call a. Few towns and we could never get. Any talk back to us. Because as you can tell the weather is not going to cooperate today it's raining so. We are we decided to get a cooler. And just some random stuff. That we thought would make a good test for this brown head we're gonna feel. This cooler full of. All what you got there got. Some great stuff literally great stuff foam spring got a book in here that's full of sand water leaves. And ain't no telling what else got. It out of my little boys sandbox so ain't no telling what's in there. We don't really wanna dick there we're just gonna pour. It in mix it in we're about to make.

This thing as hard as. You can to go through we're about to put. This arrow this broad head through. It and show you what kind of damage. It does well like we said. We feel the cooler fullest. And stuff that we just talked through together the end result is actually. It looks a little soft on the top but in the middle of. This hard is a brief so. This is gonna be a good testament to the durability of. This bra here so let's get. It down as you can tell from the little tests. We have just run the dead right there broad head can pretty much take. Anything that your arrow can say. If your arrow doesn't break broad heads going to go through. It's right here is possibly.

It does some serious damage to the game DRT three bees were dead right there. That explains it all. Iput this thing for a series of tests which you'll see soon. And results in my opinion our are not compared to the rest the construction of the DRT stainless steel point zero five. One blade thickness a total cutting surface of. One point eight four inches. And that's including the point six three inches of bleeder on. Either side of the broad right here. They are the inventor pat pending on the modular wave system 25 green collars. You the double bevel DRT 100 grains single bevel versus double bevel into pork ribs. This is one of our realistic tests here. You can see the entrance here on. This on the double bevel a single bell. You can see the entrance. It kind of did a little. More damage a little. More rotation on that single bevel coming through a little. More tear but definitely. Both leave a pretty devastating hole. If you want to come around. And see the exit hole here's the exit of the single bevel DRT 100-grain. You saw going in that. It created more of a spin going through a little. More cut into the wound channel a double bevel pretty much a clean straight through shot but. Both left great wound channels. Imean you can see right through. It you know the kind of blood trail that's going to leave is going to be incredible test we're gonna be shooting into.

Some blood-red jugs here we're going to demonstrate the single bevel. And double bevel comparison on what kind of blood trail would lead. How fast these things will drain things like. That so we'll start off first with 100-grain DRT double bevel here's a double battle entrance here. You can see the plastics a little. More resilient than muscle so it's going to kind of go back to its form but. You can see the entrance a little to the side but here's the exit quite a bit of difference on the exit but. You know as the deer is walking his muscles are moving you can kind of see. What it's going to do. And that deer will pretty much be dead right there same scenario blood-red water jugs with the single bevel 100-grain DRT. You all right single bevel again entrance. It cuts this way exit the cuts. This way you can definitely see the rotation going through the wound channel there on the single bevel here today with horn star outdoors a little broad head test on these new dirt.

And abroad heads I'm shooting a double bevel 100-grain broad head out of an Athens conviction set at twenty-nine. And a half inch and seventy pounds I'll see. What this thing does single bevel 2x4 there's the entrance Center the board didn't get complete pass through on the 2x4 the single the double. We did, but we did hit a little high that's at seventy pounds for the twenty-nine. And a half inch draw same test two-by-four for about eighteen yards double bevel DRT. One hundred grains I'm shooting a matthews helium twenty-seven. And a half inch draw at 63 pounds 63 pounds 18 yards to by forbes the solid wood got about half penetration no exit double bevel. Ireally wouldn't expect. Any broad head to penetrate the solid wood hitting a dead center but for testing purposes we're giving it a go again that's the hundred grain DRT double bevel single bevel dr t 100 grains two-by-four. Now just as I anticipated.

This single bevel you see. Where it starts to splinter the wood right here. It kind of has a shattering effect shoot a deer in the shoulder it's going to kind of shatter the bone has a spiral wound channel. That it creates double bevel great penetration on. Both consider we're using a 2x4 saw wood got to love. It we're going to show the rotation with. Both a single bevel compared to the double bevel through. This can will see our entrance going through. When it comes out we'll see. Where the blaze line up in. That way we can see our rotation as. It goes through quote-unquote the cavity of the deer. You double-double DRT entrance blades line up. This way exit almost the same slight rotation but definitely awesome wound channels. We can compare here.

We have the exit of the single bevel the exit of the double the entrance of the double bubble the entrance of the single bevel. Iwould just ranged. It we have a hips target set out there 70 yards. This is my first attempt at long-range shooting with a DRT 100 grains I'm going to shoot the single bevel see. How she flies at 70 yards for a shot 70 yards hopefully. You can see the flight of the arrow is. This coming towards the camera, but we're about a little over 2 inches off our mark. And a little low winds blowing about 10 miles an hour maybe not bad for the first shot. It either way performance of a DRT at 70 yards with no tuning it's a seem to fly pretty true 70 yards Justin's going to shoot for the first time long range with the DRT let's see. How well he can do here's the first shot. We got seven yards 70-pound Athens ibex. Imean you asked me it's right on the money take. That all day watch as the single bevel DRT spins as. It passes through the half-inch plywood.

You we shot the DRT into quarter-inch steel three times upon the third time. We could not extract the broad head from the steel the blades were chipped the Theron was a little crooked but the DRT held up using the. Most popular broad heads in today's industry. We did a comparison test shooting through. This steel on comparison test number. On the broad head bounced off. And broke into pieces test number two broad head broke into pieces upon removal on our final test the broad head bounced off on shot number two you.

It should be pretty exciting we've got a lot of kind of neat. And fun things some really hopefully educational things. That show just how tough our broad head is here. We go for a can of shaving cream that's pretty cool coconut with a double bevel versus. One gallon water lid on here. We are with a single bevel versus watermelon here. We are with our single bevel right grind. This watermelon it angled. Iguess would be probably a 45 degree angle. It traveled through the watermelon. It came out on the backside a 90 degree so that's the benefit of. That single bevel that spiraling wound channel throughout the cavity single bevel versus metal sign double bevel versus white-tailed deer buck front right shoulder we're going to show. You here is that pass through on the deer shoulder we're going to cut up. And show it broke the shoulder obviously we've got our entry within there.

You can see you can't. This is the bone snapped. It rights in that's the main shoulder bone. Ibroke a rate right in half their double bevel DRD versus the rack of pork ribs. This is a four shots through a rack of pork ribs rotted sharp. And ready for action single bevel DRT versus a Jeep Grand Cherokee driver side door well. It went through the door panel. And through the inner panel that's pretty good performance same single bevel broad head same car door let's just do. It again doubles bevel pink versus SUV driver side door. All right here we're gonna try the same car door with a competitive competitors broad head well bro double bevel pink BRT versus whole turkey double level versus coconut well obviously. We got a complete pass through on the coconut bra Ted seems to be fine.

It passed right through our subject here orange double level versus a three liters of orange soda three liters of red soda drain test half-inch plywood. Or the double bevel DRT looks good it's ready to be shot again half-inch plywood 45-degree angle double bevel DRT shaving cream oh it's raining too.

Hey guys, so I promise talk about the DRT heads. Ialluded to the fact. Ihad a follow-up shot. This year it just so happened. That the air I grabbed had. One of these DRT heads on. Ido still shoot slick tricks slick trick magnums to be exact. Ilove those heads their blades are exceptionally sharp in the ferals are great but that's not. What this video is about. This video is about. These Dirtnap gear DRT heads. This is their single beveled version. Now granted most single beveled two blade broad heads don't have the bleeder Reader blades but. They there's do I do like. It opens up the wound channel a little bit. More has these bleeder blades. You can see running perpendicular to the main blades. If you're not familiar with single beveled. What single bevel and hopefully. You can see one side is honed. One side is not and on the other side so.

This side is honed on. This side and not down here. That does is as this broad head goes. You know it's flying through the air. And it's its its rotating just simply due to the fletching and. Everything but it impacts the deer. Most heads now will instantly kind of stop twisting in. That deer though they've got. That spin going that actually will slow down your penetration just a hair again probably not measurable to the point. It makes a huge difference but. It would you think about. That arrows gonna be twisting it's going to slam on its brakes. Now it's going straight through a deer. This head it hits naturally by design is gonna keep twisting and it's gonna keep rotating as. It enters into that deer. That rotating factor actually will grab soft tissue.

And kind of twist and snap. It flies through it do a ton of damage to soft tissue but. These heads really shine is impacting a bone. What happens is when the tip gets into the bone. Or makes contact with. It unlike a normal head that's going to try to push its way through just by force. This head will actually get in there. It acts like a wedge. And just it'll pop that blade. That bone and just crack. You look up some videos of single bubble heads dr Ed Ashy. Ithink it's dr ed Ashy yeah does. Some awesome videos on shooting these into like steer shoulder bones. And things of that nature a single beveled head not. This exact head but basically the same design. Iwas exceptionally excited. These new heads you followed. This small acre hunting endeavor long enough you've already seen the video.

Iwas gonna try these heads last year mighty actually. It was two years ago. Icouldn't even get him to fit my gold tip arrows. Now I've switched the Black Eagle carnivores. This year but they do fit. Idid try it in my gold tip arrows from last year. They sent me a couple new packs. Igot two new packs. This year basically. Iwas like I'm gonna try them out. And I'm telling you right. Now guys they fly straight. They don't make the loud noise. Some people claim I have not noticed. That the dough that died 40 yards away didn't seem to mind. Any noise at it blew through her. It was a hard quartering away shot. Ido kind of now the video makes. More quartering away. What it really was but. She was pretty hard quartering away but. Ihad a really good shot at 24 yards. She was pretty occupied with a buck. That was chasing her.

It blew through her. And probably stuck in the ground a good 4. Or 5 inches so it had enough energy. Ionly shoot about 62. And a half pounds it flew through her blew her wide open. She bled like somebody was pouring a water bottle out. And died seconds after the shot. These heads do seem sharper. They came in the pack. That was one of the things. Now granted I'm spoiled. Ithink slick tricks have. Some of the sharpest blades out there out of. Any head but these were much sharper. They came in the packet. Iwas very impressed with. That they're solid this head actually was the. That went through splits. This year for the follow-up shot. It went through his left front shoulder. And then slammed into his right shoulder on the offside. You can kind of see it's still for the.

Most part in good shape I'll try to throw. Some pictures up close but there is. Some Knicks laid a little bit. That could be honed out easily enough the bleeder blade is is rough there's a chunk of. It out rights there kind of Bennett but still. Imean you're talking about hitting bone. These bleeder blades. You know are rather small they're not the same thickness as the main blade. That can be expected. It impacted it to your bone so but overall the heads still in amazing shape I'm actually going to clean. One up hone and it's gonna become a practice head so. Iwant to probably take. It apart cleans because there is dirt.

And grime and stuff on. It but it's actually. These calm as 100-grain heads. They do have you can see. This silver weight screws on before. You screw it in the arrow. And that's 25 grains basically making you're heading out 125. You shoot 125 grain field tips. And that's what your setup is. Iactually then even have 50 grains added to the back of my insert so. Ishould a really high heavy front. And for a high FOC but yeah. These heads guy check them out the company is great the owners are great. Nothing but good things to say about. These heads I will for sure be testing these out. More hopefully on a late season dough I'm gonna shoot. This the rest of the year. Idid shoot my first shot. This year on splits with a slick trick just so happened my quick follow up shot.

It was a DRT and like. That doe that didn't go very far was a DRT head. It performed so probably gonna slap. It on again and go with the rest of the year try to get. More doe down see it performed. These broad heads is. They have one point eight four inch cutting surface. One point to one on the main blade. And point 6 3 on the bleeder blades the blades themselves are actually pointed O 51 inches thick so that's a heck of a hole. That you're punching in an animal. And the ferals on these are made out of 70 75 grade aircraft aluminum which is really cool that's a tough broad head the blades are teflon-coated which maximizes penetration. And reduces resistance that's cool for me. Ilike to hunt elk, and they're a big tough animal. Ishoot into an elk. Iwant to know thatI'm going to have. One point eight four inches inside the animal cutting it up.

And with what they're made out of your gonna have. That you're not going to have to worry about leaving a blade in the height. Guys set up a couple of deer shores for gear. Ishot last Saturday, so they've been so yeah almost a week. You know set both shoulders from Atari in tune with the broad head. What it does to it there's. Nothing no holes in the shoulder. Anything it's just been meats been cut off but there're no holes. Anything sent shooting the shoulder. It rights behind the shoulder, so I'm just gonna see. What the broad head will do to see. Ican get it to shoot just right. Where I'll go through. Both shoulders what it do I'm sure. You know Bo Tech BTX 28 cents 75 pounds 27 inch draw shooting 365 feet per second with a 510 grain arrow so. You shouldn't have any trouble going through. Both shoulders but I just want to see. Idon't think I'll do. Any kind of damage really to the broad head. Either but we'll see here. Iwant a genius that's right shortly left shoulder blade just try to hit right here. Idon't know let's call. It but right on this middle part. Where there's extra bone. Iknow the worst case scenario. How well hold up, so I'm going to go back to 20 hours yeah hit. What the what I mean. That crushed I don't think. You do he went through a low it's have left on the left short blade right here but. You can actually see. It cut right there it actually did hit a little bit on. That thicker bone part right their see. It cut right there and then.

It went through looks like. It went right through the middle of the. That thicker part that was trying to hit on the back. This out get a little bit to the right on. You can see cut three slits in. They have any trouble going through. That it's stuck pretty deep in. That target and that's a really dense target. You know that broad heads in perfect shape obviously it's not quite as sharp but. Alright here's a quick review on the Magnus Stinger broad heads. It for hunting these things are awesome mine's got the four blades versus the two blades I've killed. That look with it a big six-point bowl. Ishot him at 60 yards you've had about 30 yards. And stopped doing around under 10 steps. And fell over so didn't go real far. Iwatched the whole thing happen almost claimed pass. She was just barely poking out the other side I've shot a couple deer with them some kind of results. These things fly really true really straight make. What my field points are supposed to hit the great thing about Magnus stingers is. You break Bend anything user air Magnus will replace them. This last year I'd finally broken my third. Ikept my original packaging and. Ihad six originally. Ijust broke my third. One of them it was is. This little piece was left. What I've had two am a defendant. One of the like over bend over was barely tip. Ijust ended it into him no questions asked. They sent it right back to. Me with three brand-new ones I'll continue shooting them for as long as I'm going to see fit. Ihaven't seen anything it's. That much better I've shot mozzies. Ishot three blades. And four blades spray mozzies there they're good at good ones but not quite.

Everyone and welcome back spring turkey season is upon. Is right and I've been looking for the edge to get myself a spring turkey well actually I've been looking for the edge to get a turkey. All regular hunting season in the fall. Some Magnus bull head turkey tips here. And basically these are supposed to increase the kill radius of your broad head to help. You give you them you know a little bit. More room for error. When shooting out of turkey. You know I got a pretty good the price on these are about twenty dollars for the set of three. Icame with an instructional DVD. Isat down I'll watch the instructional DVD with my son. You know they had. All the testimonials in the video. They showed a bunch of people shooting turkeys. They did have some instruction in the video as far. How to tune them how to sight in your bow with. They touched on something called a four feathered arrow for using layman terms here. Ididn't quite understand. What they meant. They didn't really show. They just kind of touched on. And then they showed a bunch of people shooting stuff. You know I saw people drawing back on their arrows. And shooting an arrow like. This with three vanes on the back. And then somebody shooting an arrow like.

This with four vanes. Ireally didn't know. What to think about. We went out hunting anyway for turkeys. One of my friends took a shot. He had also used some of these. He took a shot at a turkey. He said the arrow just took off like three feet up to the left. And up basically he missed by a mile. It sounded like a helicopter. It took off with the arrow so. We really weren't sure. What was going on other. These things were causing our arrows not to fly straight so. Iwent back and looked in an instruction video again. And figured out that hey in order to get. These to work they're recommending using. That arrow with the four feathers on. Iwent to the Magnus website found the link bought. Some of these arrows for the poundage of my bow. Iwent ahead and bought. Some of these little quiver adapters as well. These things here did not fit in my quiver. And the blades end up sticking out. And basically what these are supposed to do is. You stick them in your quiver like so.

And then your turkey tip goes in here like. It gives you a little bit. More protection so you don't cut yourself so already I'm in four new arrows. And a quiver adapter. Iwas just going out for some turkey tips so. Igo out I shoot my four feathered arrow I'm sorry. If I'm using the wrong terms here guys but em. And granted my arrows do fly a little straighter with. These four arrows but the feathers are getting are. These four feathers but my feathers are getting tore up I'm using an octane capture rest turns out. You need to use a drop away rest. Because as you can tell with. These there is no way those feathers are gonna come through without dragon. And their dragon and getting tore up but with.

This arrow the way he would've chewed up like. And using the capture rest my arrows flew straight. And grouping better groups let. Me say I'll roll some footage in here excuse. Me I'll roll some footage in here of. Me shooting my normal arrows with just a field tip. You can see that I'm taking the zero no problem. And then I will shoot my normal arrow here with the turkey tip. It shoots about six to eight inches to the left. And then I used the four feathered arrows here. That was recommended kind of in between the lines in the instructional video the grouping got really good. It only dropped a couple of inches. Isuspect it was dropping because of my capture arrest so in short.

Idon't think this is going to add much to your hunting if. You will because like. Isaid I'm out 20 bucks $25 for the tips. Another five or six for this. Ibelieve thirty more dollars for the arrows maybe up to forty with shipping and then. Iwent out and bought. Another arrest and looking back. Iwould probably just stick with my broad heads instead of doing this. This has created more gear for me to carry. And I'm really the margin for error isn't the odds are not. All right we're getting my bow set up for a guillotine today. And I've shot a ton of turkeys with my bow but my partner James whacked one's head off last year. And I've been wanting to do. It for years and try to get done. This year so I'm gonna make. Some adjustments put up to my bow first thing I usually shoot 70 pounds we're gonna crank. It down below 60 just. Because the heavier faster arrows seem to make. These things spin out of whack. You slow it down a little bit. It helps to fly a little straighter so good tune the bow down. And then we got to get sighted in for about 20 yards with our field tips. That doubt in then we'll put. This baby on give it a run. We need to make more final adjustments you're gonna talk about the arrow set up. We have a little bit in order to help. These things fly straight. You want a really stiff arrow. What I use is the Grizzly Momentum's. These things are made for shooting water buffalo probably I'm gonna be doing. That but they're super stiff so it'll serve well for our purpose here. And then let's talk about our fletching we've got a four flat arrow. And their four inch forged veins with feathers. And what's important about. That we've got feathers. That could catch a lot of air. And help kind of steer. That thing through the areas were shooting it the smaller. You go the fewer veins. You know the more opportunity. You have for the thing to wobble in the air. All right what we got here is. One of my dog pillows which is junk. And peed out a lot I'm gonna take. And shoot into this well shoot it's.

Something soft like a pillow an old pillow works good. Because you'll help save those blades shooting is. Something hard they're probably just gonna break right off. And then let's go buy. More so in order to keep practice with. You want to shoot it up soft got. It set up here we're gonna make a little target for myself. And walk away we'll see check your head seven theater buzzes cut good to go kill him alright gonna stick. This head on it's got a three. And three-quarter inch cutting diameter on. It so hopefully I can punch. One within that he's a nice. You just screw a mine no blades to hold they're screwed on there. You rock and roll sound cool well.
