There's the logo by the way hootenanny can onion. What a cool name right by the way. These does have the ikbs bearing system in the pivot which is fantastic incredibly smooth. And so fast and just flies out. And requires no flick no. Nothing oh man that is so nice. Iwill take a bearing pivot anytime. Ican get it welcome back you're watching the leap boy scout channel. And you've tuned in to my review of the CRKT hootenanny from our friend Ken Onion yeah man. This guy is a classic knife maker. Idon't really need to say. Anything about him you guys know ken onion is the bomb right I'm gonna bring out a couple other Ken onion knives here in a little bit but we're gonna just bask in the hootenanny for a little bit. And enjoy the amazing design here. This is fantastic guys. And I'm gonna show some testing of.

This knife very shortly here in. This video that goodness. Iwas just really impressed with the ergonomics of. This little blade I mean its look at. That here it is in the hand alright it's not. That big alright it doesn't seem like it's not. That thick either so. Where are the ergonomics. Where is the stuff that's gonna help. Me out make this super comfortable in hand for hard work. Idon't know it is but somehow. This thing was extremely comfortable doing all the work. Idid with and we'll get into. You the testing here in a little bit but first we'll just kind of get into the knife. Some of these features. Some materials. It is 8 CR 13 MOV steel a decent steel chinese-made. That works well has to be resharpened fairly frequently. It holds up to just about. Whatever but yeah again it's not the best for edge retention can rust.

That other stuff you guys are probably familiar with. It's an inexpensive steel. That does an alright job. Idon't mind it there's the logo by the way hootenanny Ken onion. What a cool name right by the way. These does have the ikbs bearing system in the pivot which is fantastic. And incredibly smooth. And so fast and just flies out. And requires no flick no. Nothing oh man that is so nice. Iwill take a bearing pivot anytime. Ican get and I'll compare. It to at least one other bearing pivot knife here in a little bit the steel as. Imentioned is ACR 13 MOV the blade length 337 5 good length for EDC. What I would call what he would call a frame lock. This area that looks to be bolstered is really just part of the frame so. Imean there's some really interesting design to. You know that's obviously. That bolstered top part of the frame comes down here then we've got a scale over the top of the frame rounding it.

And giving it some comfort having a nice. That kind of fish scale dragon scale sort of texture. Or appearance anyway it's very nice-looking really attractive doesn't provide a lot of grip provide. Some texture just a little bit but not so much grip. You take these off. It scales off both sides the knife still works yeah still works just fine so. You don't of course. You wouldn't be very comfortable to use but again. These are not structural that's my point pocket clip way back here following the spine of the knife which is a very cool thing helps. It to sort of disappear in pocket. It also adds to the comfort organ ah mcclee.

That is sort of back in the meat of your palm. Than fighting with your pinkie. Any other things as you're kind of dealing with. Some cuts that's something to consider. And I'm glad that can onion considered. And thought that out otherwise the shape of. It works well I did have to take. It off at one point. Some bending to bring it back. It not comes tight enough. Ican't remember to be honest it's good. And tight it works well a little back strap on here. It looks like a type of plastic. This is the type of plastic as well I'm gonna say that's like a FRN ish material. Something like that definitely not carbon fiber. Anything like that is just a simple plastic e material.

And that's what we have here as well again it's kind of FRN type of material. It works well gives. You a nice you know a little bit of a texture there to help. You hold on to it got a little bit of a jumping up here on top of the bolstered area of the frame. These little cutouts just for decoration but aren't. They good-looking and. We have a great-looking pivot there as well that's cool obviously it's just a screw just screws into. That but we've just kind of got a big flared head to. That pivot once again for good looks. And pretty much you know a lot of the features on. This knife it's not expensive materials not expensive construction, but they've given. It a lot of just aesthetics. You know that aesthetic appeal also needs a lot of machining touches which brings the price up to about $45 okay so. You can get eight CR 13 MOV steel blades for around twenty twenty-five dollars. Or less depending on if where. You shop around so if it's just the steel type you're concerned about it's a little high for the four before.

Where you're getting but that's not. All you're getting your also getting just fantastic design. And ergonomics so yeah I'd say it's worth. Ididn't mention however CRKT did send. Me Ben my buddy over there sent. Me for review I did not purchase. Idid I'd be saying the exact same things about. And I'd be happy to purchase. It really alright so we've got. Some chipping up there on the top of the blade as well allowing you to get. Some great kind of controlled cuts there oh man it's just so cool so. What I understand is. This was designed to be wasn't like a fishing knife. Something like I can't remember but Ken Onion had. Some plans for this knife. Or had to use this design for more of an outdoor hunting type application game application. And then CRKT said let. That into an EDC knife. It gave the okay they turn. And it's just fantastic. It really one in my opinion.

You guys might have seen. This in my shot show video. Idid with crkt Ben over there. Iraved about right off the bat. Ineeded to have it's great it's fantastic, so I've done. Some testing with I haven't mentioned. This little bit of jumping up here. You can sort of get your finger up there. And do a little constant. You could kind of do. Something like if your fingers are not big in fact mine kind of are so. They would probably write up a little dangerously close to the edge but. You wanted to you could do. Some cuts like this as well just. Something to point out. And again the liner a frame lock. Ishould say is well done. It comes out just enough. You can push on that very comfortably to open. And close it centering is not perfect. Ihave to point that out not. That bad he doesn't rub against the liner. This frame but it's a real well done. Ithink we've covered.

All the aspects of the knife as far as construction. And materials let's get into. Some tests this knife did a fantastic job. All around sly some paper to start of course. And sliced it like a champ like a boss just went to town there's a little bit of hanging up as. We got going but you know almost. Any knives that I've tried will do. That occasionally especially. Ihave not sharpened. It since have used. It for other things. This being 8 CR 13 MOV yeah it'll get dull in spots. If you're going to be using it. And not be sharpening it frequently so slicing some paper. It did a great job anyway. And yeah I'll give it a pass on. That of course I got into. Some cardboard with. This time some double walled stuff cutting it across the fluting and.

Inoticed right away. Us in a hammer grip. It was not super comfortable. It just wasn't something to do with the sort of horseshoe shape to the handle. That dug into my pinkie. Some other aspects to. That not super comfortable holding it in. That sort of hammer grip. Igot my thumb up on top of the blade made a world of difference in oh my gosh. It was just extremely comfortable sliced extremely well through. That cardboard you know took. It apart like a boss. And was super comfortable. Ichange my grip once again. Ialso of course had. This knife dig into. Some two-by-four and just kind of see. What it could do there. Once again holding it in the hammer grip not so comfortable get your hand on the foam on the back of the spine. All of a sudden it's the. Most comfortable life in the world. Or really close to it just felt great in hand. Iwas able to slice away.

Ikind of dig away at. That 2x4 without a lot of fatigue. And with some pretty nice effective cuts in fact. Iwas getting some really almost paper-thin slices off of. That 2x4 so it was not. You know kind of rough. And tumble just digging in. And pulling chips away. It was slicing stuff off. It was doing a really nice job. Iwouldn't tribute that to the almost paper thin blade on an edge on. It which is hollow ground so. That allows for the very final terminating edge to be very like. Isaid almost paper thin so. That dug into and just kind of sliced at. That two-by-four really aggressively. And very well so big wind there as well. One last point on that ergonomic aspect of. Something to do with the way. This blade kind of dips down like. This getting your thumb.

And writing it up on. Idon't know man whatever is having your thumb in. That position as you're doing some hard cuts. It just feels super comfortable. Ithink you're just kind of supporting the knife in the right place. And taking pressure off of other areas. Something anyway whatever the case. It becomes very comfortable. You hold that way let's compare. This knife to a handful of other great EDC knives there's a hootenanny. And around what did. Isay $45 we've also got here's the bench made 9:43. And around one hundred. And seventy dollars s30v is gonna hold up hold an edge for a lot longer no doubt no dignity then there's also the CRKT what's. One called again the ripple yes the ripple also designed by Ken Onion also featuring ikbs ball bearing pivot system fantastic just so cool love. More can onion design might as well since. It handy Kershaw leek. One of my all-time favorites just love. This as an EDC knife super thin especially on.

This frame lock version of. It carries great very aggressive sharp blade. And great steel 14 C 28. This was a Kudo plus s30v. Ididn't say it maybe. More here just for kicks there's the vg-10 Spyderco delica for full flat ground also fantastic knife at around 60 no not 60. Ithink it's 50 something I don't know I'm just giving you really big ballpark ranges here excellent knives for EDC. Ididn't tell you the hootenanny comes in at around four point eight ounces it's a little bit heavier on for EDC as far as I'm kind of how. Imeasure things and heavier. Any of these actually but. You don't really notice. That weight I don't anyway. It carries really well carries fairly nice and deep. And again the weight is kind of up here the bolster kind of up here the pivot which know. Something about that just feels great in pocket then again. That flipping action. Ikb/s flipper is so amazingly good. Iwill deal with almost.

Any potential drawback to get. That on my knife not a lot of drawbacks on. This knife I could spy. Or spot out the way is a tiny issue from my perspective given. All the other great features well that's. It that's my review of the Ken Onion hootenanny isn't. That fun to say it sure is fun to play with. This knife I Malay Boy Scout thank. Hi everyone we're looking at two very popular survival knives here the. One on the left is gerber bear grills ultimate knife. This one is also made by Gerber it's bear grill parole ultimate knife so. This one is more expensive so definitely. This one is better. Then the ultimate knife the pro version is better but let's compare them. And see why this one is better. And more expensive so let's take the knife out. They have similar features ok so first let's look at the knife itself. They both have the same length which is 4 point 8 inch length for the placed length overall is Tang inch let's look at them the difference eating the blade material ok so the bottom. One is ultimate knife the top. One is pro ultimate knife as. You can see the color difference. They both have orange but the ultimate. One is orange plaster the gray the pro version is orange plus the black color. And then the plain material the ultimate. One says is high cut carbon light the pro version is actually the better steel is 9 CR 19 mov steel so it's better. They both have this spot for using on the fire steel the blade length is about the same is. It same accord to the spec but as. You can see the pro version has. This the groove for the finger so it's easy to use thickness wise is same. They both have this for our three holes on the handle. And as you can see here the pro version is foot ten. And you can see that it's. All the way through the end. Even this metal Palmer is its same steel.

And then you can actually take the handle out on the probe bridge. And he has fourth group of schools on the fourth two sides. And this ultimate version it's full ten — but. You cannot see it and. You cannot take the handle up they're. Both very comfortable in hand. All right hand they. Both have this whistle okay let's look at the whistle here a little different but. They do have the same purpose so let's try to listen on the pro version first see. How loud this is okay. That was a pro version. Now I just automate virgin so. You probably can hear the difference the pro version definitely is better on the whistle part okay after looking at a knife let's look at the Sheep wise.

Hello Internet what we're going to look at today is. This is not the Bear Grills ultimate survival knife. This is the Bear Grills ultimate survival knife Pro. Now I'm going to be looking at. This from the point of view of an archer. And the knife to an archer it's a very important tool. And yeah this knife it's its got a bit of a funny reputation purely. Because its predecessor wasn't. That good it was completely redesigned. Ithink towards the beginning of. This year or the very end of last year anyway it's been completely redesigned. And in my opinion for the money. This is a really good quality knife it's a Gerber blade that's made with Gerber steel so yeah without further ado let's have a closer look okay here. We have Bear Grills ultimate survival knife Pro. What are one of the new features of. This knife over its predecessor is the fact. That it's now full tank so the knife goes to fallen the blade goes the full length of the knife from tip to pommel it's a good 10 inches. These lash marks a lash holes here so. You can lash it to a stick. You ever find yourself in a survival situation hopefully. Inever will it's a they've upgraded the steel of the blade it's. Now a 9 CR 19 MOV carbon steel which is a very strong steel. If you're into your steels. And your chemical bits. And bobs and it's now 100 percent fine edge its predecessor had a serration. One of the versions have a serration. Some people love a serrated edge. Ifind them very difficult to a sharp. And, so I'd go with a fine edge of your time it's a drop point it's got a lovely steel pummel there.

You need to break open. Something but yeah it's a really solid knife. You can use it for many things. You know I do a bit of bush craft. Ithink it's going to be brilliant for. You know you can Batman with. You can do many things. That from Ramon accounts. You can abuse these knives quite readily I'll put an article in the description. All about this knife goes into far. More detail than I'm going to go into but yeah. Ithink its predecessor wasn't wasn't fantastic. This is suffering because of. That a lot of people assume it's the same thing but it's not it's been completely redesigned. And it's its a lovely knife. One of the other points. Iforgot to mention is. This here is a coil it's called a toil. And well enables you to do is. If you're doing to finer carving or. Something you can drop a finger in there. It just gives that little bit extra control over the blade but it's erm yeah it's. You know on the whole it's its a fantastic knife.

And for the money I don't think. You can get better the retail price of. This knife is $9999 that's British pounds. Ihave seen it as low as 57 pounds which in my opinion is an absolute bargain. That is actually cheaper. Ihave seen it's pretty accessible so. You can find it at that price then I'd snap. It up the sheath it's a little bit futuristic for my liking but. You know horses for courses. That it's a rubberized sheath very grippy. And you've got the carbon name sorry. That the fire steel rod in there so for starting fires. You have a built-in sharpener which is a really useful tool. We just run the knife through there to give it a good sharpen. Although I would recommend. You do know how to sharpen a knife then.

It on a whetstone. And just a keep the edge great. Imean the sharpener on there is great for just honing it but. You really want to look after your knife then run. It on a whetstone every. And again just to keep. That blade sharp but there. That is the just a brief look at the bear grills ultimate survival knife Pro. And there we go okay guys that's been the Bear Grills ultimate survival knife Pro. You found that interesting I didn't want to go into too much detail about the knife. Ijust wanted to show. Some archer gear. You know I felt like. Ineeded to say something about. This knife it's its. It does get a bit of a bad rep purely because of the predecessor.

This is I mean the build quality of. This is lovely and fits in the sheet so well but yeah it's its sold as a survival knife. Now hopefully I'll never have to use. It as a survival knife. Ijust want to use it for digging arrows had tree stumps. That purpose this knife is. Than adequate I think it's a really strong knife Robert make. Some excellent knives they've never let. Me down in the past. Idon't think they're going to let. Me down again though it's got Bear Grills on. That's completely irrelevant. Ilike the knife or not it's a Bear Grills knife. Ijust think it's a nice solid knife but yeah. Imean the one thing I have heard about. This knife is the negative I've heard about. This knife is not tactical enough.

Now why you'd want a tactical knife. Idon't know I personally want a knife that's going to do a job. It to do I don't need. It to be tactical I like the fact. That it's not completely black. Ilike the fact that it's orange. It shows that I'm not trying to hide. It's a knife it's a tall remember that's. What a knife is all it's not a weapon. You know it belongs. It belongs in your camping pack. It belongs in your archery gear. It belongs in your toolbox. It doesn't belong on your belt down the pub please don't do. That we're really strict in the UK on their knife crime so please just be careful. When you're you are using a knife use. It responsibly but yeah other. Ihope you've enjoyed.

What's up guys ben from living Survival today. Igot a brand-new tool from Weatherman. This is the Weatherman Rev so stick with. Me so today I got a brand-new tool for 2015. This is the Weatherman Rev. This multi-tool has 13 tools on. It's very similar to the wing man. Or the sidekick of those 13 tools. You have a knife blade of course it's a 420hc knife blade similar to what's found on. Most of their multi tools. It does open from the outside which is very nice and it's got. This liner lock which snaps closed so. It does lock open and then. You just press the liner there to retract. It's got a nice deep carry pocket clip on the back that's built in. You could also take. That off you wish that about does. It for the tools on the outside. You can see there it says Phillips. And flat headed screwdriver. However those are on the inside so looking at the inside of the tool here. You have your standard players needle nose pliers up top then standard players with wire cutter below. That non replaceable blades on the wire cutter then on the inside on the. One side you have a flat blade screwdriver. And a Phillips screwdriver. And then on the opposite side of the tool. You have a can opener / bottle opener a file with a ruler on the other side. And then a package opener. These package openers come in pretty dang handy for when. You need to get into those blister packs. Or those plastic packaging that's really hard to open that's. Where those package openers come in really handy so like. Isaid 13 tools it weighs in at five point nine ounces it's very lightweight which.

Ireally like you barely notice it's in your pocket so it'd be great for like a budget EDC multi-tool definitely great for you know survival kits for maybe on the boat in the RV things like. That places you want to just stash a. You know a wallet friendly Weatherman. And still have the quality of the Weatherman. And still have that 25 year warranty which Weatherman puts on their multi-tools, so I'm going to go ahead. And play around with. This a little bit and I'll come back. And tell what I like about. All right so size-wise. Ijust wanted to compare. Few other tools here. We have the Weatherman Wave. Ihave the accessory pocket clip put on. Ilike to have a pocket clip. Ilike to use these without the sheath to slip them on to my bags. You know of course where in my pocket so. That is nice that the Weatherman Rev comes with. That pocket clip and as well. It does have the outside opening blade which is found as well on the Weatherman Wave so definitely like.

That feature about the Rev. And then here it is compared to a rebar. You can see that the rebar is pretty much the same size a little bit smaller. Than the wave so pretty similar in size to. These other to more expensive versions of the Weatherman but the weight on. This is much less definitely a lot less. Then the wave you definitely can feel the difference carrying this in your pocket, so we'll take a look at the size comparison between the blade. You can see that it's a little bit smaller. Then the wave but definitely just as sharp. This thing comes razor-sharp. And it's quite durable — there's no bend in. It really you actually have a little bit.

More Bend in the wave. You do in the Rev but. It is a little bit smaller blade. And then looking at the plier difference between the Rev. And the rebar you can see. That the rebar has the replaceable blades there which the Rev does not so. This little tool it's very lightweight very easy to use. It has the essentials. That you'd expect to find on a budget version of a Weatherman tool. It seems to be built with. You know the same quality as their other multi tools like. Isaid it's very similar to the wing man. Or the sidekick on the sidekick I've got Chris Tanner's bird in the background on the sidekick. You do have spring-loaded players a saw. And in your detachment. You don't have on and on the wing man.

You have a spring-assisted players as well. And then also the scissors. You don't get on this as well but overall. Ithink it's very nice for a budget-friendly Weatherman. It comes in about ten. Or fifteen dollars less. Then the wing man or the sidekick. Ido like how the knife is accessible from the outside of the tool without having to open. It up that's definitely a plus to have. Although they would have configured the knife blade to be similar to the sidekick. Or wing man on the sidekick. And wing man you can really get. It out very easily with. One hand one is the whole is placed quite high. And it's its placed quite low on the tool so. It does take some work to get. This open with one hand. You really can't do. It without moving your hand. Or scooching your hand up so. You know it would have been nice. That was similar to the wing man. Or the sidekick you can flip. One open with one hand there isn't. Any other tools on the outside of.

This which I find is okay. It might be nice if the package opener at least was on the outside. Ido find myself using. That a lot it would be nice. It was accessible from the outside but. That being said this isn't a key chain multi-tool so it's not like you're going to have just on your key chain. And need that very fast access anyway like. Isaid very good for throwing in survival kits bug out bags get home kits in the car to have. This in the glove box of your car maybe the glove box your boat. Or in your RV definitely handy to have with the basic set of tools. And the quality from Weatherman so guys. You enjoyed this video today on the Weatherman Rev. Ithink it's a great multi-tool for an entry level into multi tools maybe as a gift to. That doesn't have one maybe here.

You want to buy a few of them. And put them in all different kits so. Idefinitely like the aspect. And the price point. And the tool set you get on the Weatherman Rev. hi their thanks for clicking in I've got. Another interesting night based multi-tool to show. You today from Weatherman who is really better known for their pliers based multi tools but. Most people know Weatherman is a USA company out of Portland Oregon. All their stuff comes with a 25-year warranty but. If you've never taken a minute to read about Tim Weatherman the founder. And his story do that it's a great American success story about a guy who had an idea had a dream. He just didn't quit. He just didn't give up on. This is the crater and the crater has a lot of different variations. And confusing model numbers but. One is the C 33 t comes like. This the tool out and let's just set. That down for a second take a look. What we have here this is just. What they call their knife user's guide. It just shows several languages the different models of the crater. And I'll go over that in a minute later. And the different tools. You use those on the back. Some information also about. How to use the knife set. That aside and the first thing you probably notice about.

This knife at least my impression was it's not very aesthetically pleasing I mean almost a it's ugly but I'll put. That down to these black glass filled nylon handles, so they've chopped up glass fibers. And added them to nylon to make a very strong impervious handle material. Because it's so strong. It doesn't need stainless steel liners. It keeps the weight of the knife down. You can see they have finished. This in a way where there is. Some pebble inge or kind of dimpling I guess along the edge here. And the groove here. You get your thumb up to the thumb stud but the rest of. This kind of flat-ground look to. It makes very slick a handle so. All the craters come with a locking blade liner locking blade. And with a thumb stud. What they call the blade launcher. And I'll show that here on the back.

It acts like a flipper but it's not an extrusion on the actual blade it's a separate piece like a washer. Or a cam that fits down in there next to. You can see there are bronze washers there for the blade. And the blade launcher to help. It operates so there's. Iwouldn't call it jumping here there's a little bit of scoring here to help. You get a purchase on. It first of all the thumb stud operates pretty smoothly here's your liner lock. While we're got that open the liner locks cut away to mirror. This cut away in the handle so make. More comfortable grip but they've cut. It they've reduced it so much. That it's a little bit tough to get a hold of. You almost have to kind of use your nail there on the side of.

It fortunately it's very easy to push over it's a pretty thin piece of metal. And a split down the middle. That makes it very easy to operate the other thing I want to show. You is the full and complete lock up on. That liner lock you know a lot of knives. It comes about halfway in just enough to lock up the blade but enough to just enough to get. It to deploy easily. This comes all the way over seats up against. That blade launcher there just about. And makes a full lock up I'm very confident of. And but again it's very easy to push out of the way so let's just take a look at the blade launcher until tricky first but it's like a flipper see that's a fail oh my got. It's a little stiff. Because it's new there. We can talk about the blade. That out stuck Weatherman etched on. You look carefully behind the thumb stud it's got the C 33 T model number so. This is a very attractive blade. And has a nice finish a satin finish to. It doesn't show finger prints at.

It came from the factory with a very nice edge very nice edge. Igot a piece of paper here just a little paper cut test well here. We go pretty sharp the blade is not very big 26 out inches so just a little over two. And a half inches so it's not a real big blade but it's got a nice thick spine. And it's thick all the way to the tip so. It looks pretty rugged to. Me neglect didn't mention but the entire knife in the closed position is three point eight inches. And weighs just three point two ounces it's not bad that's about 90 grams just as a size comparison here. It is up against the torn-up Spartan 91 millimeter knife three. And a half inches so. You can get a get an idea of the size. It is quite a bit thicker. And heavier all the craters come with the blocking blade with thumb stud.

They don't all come with a blade launcher but. All do also come with a pocket clip. And the pocket clip. It looks like it's seriously attached with three different screws here but. Ithink it's too big. It is awfully long it really works well to cook your knife into your pocket but. It is not that comfortable in your hand. Now fortunately it's removable. You don't like and there is an alternative the other tool. Iwant to show you that's pretty innovative is. This thing here on the back. One hand opening and locking carabiner. And bottle opener and it's the bottle opener I'm sorry. Idon't have a bottle here to show. It comes across the bottle like. This it's one of these cotton. It opens and the cool thing is. It usually holds the cap so. It doesn't fall to the ground. You have to hunt around for it. This is locking and a lot of people seem to have a problem with. You read the instructions it's quite simple.

You just press down on. It back so it's really not. That difficult folks just press down. That folds right back. Now a lot of people would say. This is kind of useless tool. Ilike a cap lifter. And the carabiner again. You want to take off the pocket clip works quite well to hang off of a belt loop. Something like that so yeah. Ithink that's pretty cool tool. All come with that the other tools. That just this model comes with. Or your screwdrivers. Now let's take a look at the Phillips first. This right here and it's not really intended to be a. One hand the opening tool but. And listen to that lock up it's very stiff. It doesn't lock but it's got a really good snap.

Idon't think that will collapse on. If you're careful I do have a board here with. Some different size screws I've got. Some different size Phillips over here so let's five. This a try first of. This one is quite big. All the way through. This board so it's pretty stiff but. It fits in there it works okay. That actually fits in there pretty good. Now let's try the medium. One here also that's a good yeah. If that's a really well shaped Phillips. Now here's a little tiny. One that's sort of stripped but. It fits in there it works so that's a that's a winning Phillips well-designed. Now the flat head is over here. You have to use the other hand to get. It put it's kind of difficult to get out. It drops down in their pretty far. It hides in a little bit behind. That pocket clip I don't know why they didn't design. It stops right here but. It drops down in their like. That so let's get that out also very firm snap.

This is a quarter-inch. And like most Weatherman screwdrivers it's very sharp so be careful it's really easy to gouge yourself with. These things they're not rounded off. Any whatsoever let's try. These flathead screws. This is a bigger one right here. This is gonna work obviously. Now it's been in and out of. That wood a couple times so it's really not. That challenging here's a medium-sized. One fits in there really well no problem. And then finally a little. One right here that's right in there no problem so. These are well-designed drivers. They fit a variety of different screw sizes. And do the job and also like the fact. That they've got a really firm lock up. And extend from the end of the tool it's always. More handy to have your screwdriver in line with the tool then sticking out the back like a t-shape okay just a quick rundown on the different model numbers. This is again the C 33 t there is a C 33 TX.

And the X always on these craters indicates a partially serrated blade there is a C 33. This is your basic version. And a C 33 X it's got the locking blade with the thumb stud no blade launcher. It also has this carabiner bottle opener in a pocket clip then you've got a c 33 l. And a C 33 LX again locking blade with the thumb stud but also with the blade launcher the bottle opener carabiner tool. And pocket clip and then you've got the C 33 T we're looking at C 33 TX with a serrated blade. And finally a C 33 SX which is their surf knife. And the difference is they're it's its a C 33 TX with. This partially serrated blade but it's got blacked-out tools black oxide tools. And in place of the Phillips driver. It has a key your surfboard fin so. They call that the surf knife. Iunderstand it's totally gnarly okay. This uh knife retails by the way for $46.

Ipaid 32 some change on eBay shipped to. Me so it's possible to get them for a lot less the entire line runs retail from 22 dollars up to $60 for. That surf knife I talked about so a lot of different varieties. Ithink it's a very innovative clever tool. It obviously works well. And it's built to last. It looks very durable. Some opportunities for improvement would be the aesthetics. And the ergonomics by the way. You hold that knife there are. Several hot points and I've got a problem with my bench made North fork folder here too it's got a similar cutout so. You get your thumb to the thumb stud but the way they've done.

It leaves two sharp points. You grab the knife it pushes forward in your hand. That bites into your index finger also as. Imentioned the pocket clip just to. Me is a little too long. And a little too wide. It flares up quite a bit there at the end so it's not a very comfortable pocket clip. And then finally this tool here the cap lifter carabiner sticks out just enough. You get Scott too so. You get a hold of it will bite into. This finger so again it's not the. Most comfortable or good-looking knife I've ever seen but. It is very capable multi-tool it's fairly priced it's made here in the US has a 25-year warranty getting a lot of innovative features. Ithink it's a win the Weatherman crater C 33 T thanks for watching and have fun collecting

Everyone bent from living survival. And today I'm going to show. You my top five favorite Weatherman multi-tool so stick with. Me try not to go anywhere without carrying some sort of multi-tool with. Or at least have one nearby. You never know when you're going to need an extra blade maybe a set of players screwdrivers nail file saw scissors. You name it the Weatherman can handle. Now Weatherman make. Some great key chain size. And smaller multi tools as well such as the juice series. This Weatherman micro but today we're going to be focusing on the Weatherman surge the Weatherman Wave the Weatherman OHT. Or one-handed tool the Weatherman rebar. And the Weatherman skeletal right off the bat. You can see that the size is very just a little bit. You can see that the surge is actually quite a bit bigger. Then the wave although they're very similar the one-handed tool just has a unique design.

All on its own and then there's minor differences like. Whether the tools are on the inside. Or on the outside of the tool for example the surge. And the wave you can access things like the blade from the outside of the tool without having to open. It up the rebar you have to open the tool up to get to what's inside. And then we have the skeletal which again is sort of like the OHT. And has a design all of its own so let's start off with the Weatherman skeletal. One of the newer weatherman's. That I've been carrying lately. It does have a pocket clip which is very nice. Some models come with a pocket clip. Some models like the wave in the surge. You can add a pocket clip but. One comes with a nice deep carry pocket clip so it's great for just carrying with. You on the go or putting in your EDC kit. It has outside access to the knife it's a combo knife so it's got a serrated blade as well as a straight edge on the front portion of the knife it's also got.

This carabiner which is nice for clipping on to the outside of your pack. And then that also functions as a cap lifter as well then. You open the tool you get access to the pliers which is. Something that is different in a lot of the different lemon multi tools. One has a wire cutter as well as a player's. And then needle nose at the tip. One also has a bit driver. You can put different bits in the end of. This tool by pressing this button here. That will release and then. You can put different bits in there Weatherman makes. Something called their bit kit. You can see that there's. All different types of bits Allen heads Torx screws flat blades Phillips.

Even down to the smaller. You know sunglass hourglasses sized screwdrivers so. This little bit kit. You can see it's got a super small form factor. You can just slip this in the sheath of. One of your Weatherman tools. This with my Weatherman Wave. And it's nice I always have access to different bits. Imight need and those bits will also work in the skeletal. Now the skeletal comes in two different models. It comes in the satin finish. And then you can also get. It in a carbon fiber finish which is awesome as well the skeletal is small. And light although. It doesn't have many tools on. It has the most important being a knife cap lifter. And a screwdriver so. Iget by with one pretty well next.

One we're going to look at is the Weatherman rebar. This is a favorite of a lot of people it's just a rock-solid tool. You can see you access the tools from the inside of. One it's got a fairly small form-factor. You can see here it's about the same size as the skeletal as. All the tools are accessed from the inside but the main thing. That the rebar has going for it is the 154cm replaceable cutting blades for the wire cutters. And has a great set of pliers. And a great set of needle nose it's very pod rugged. And very powerful gives. You a nice firm Rep. You need pliers other tools inside the rebar include a file a flat blade screwdriver. Another flat blade screwdriver straight blade knife serrated knife a cap lifter slash can opener. These sturdy Phillips. And a saw all a great option for a DC. One in my gallon bag next up. We have the Weatherman OHT. This one's pretty unique. You can deploy the players using just.

One hand handy went on a ladder for example it's got a locking system on the side. You twist to either lock. Or unlock the pliers so. They don't deploy on. You in your bag or in your pocket for example. When it's unlocked you simply give it a quick flick. And it'll deploy the players. It also is spring-loaded players which make. It really nice as well just like on the rebar the oht features the same 154cm replaceable blades on the wire cutters a nice set of pliers. And a nice set of needle nose. That come together at the very tip there is no flipping this tool open. All the tools are accessible from the outside. All the tools also have a picture of what they are on the outside so.

You have a Phillips screwdriver. You have a flat blade screwdriver a larger flat blade screwdriver can opener slash cap lifter serrated blade straight blade a cutting tool also an oxygen tank wrench. And a saw the OHT also has an adapter. You can screw in a cleaning rod. It comes in this color. Or black the Weatherman OHT is a great all-around tool a little bit larger. Some others but. You do have the one-handed deployable players two of the. Most talked about multi tools. It comes to survival are the surge. And the way you can see the wave is a little bit smaller. Both have similar tools. You can get them in. Several options. This is the new version of the Weatherman surge with upgraded players but. You can get this black oxide finish a satin finish. You look hard enough. Even get it in a camel version. Many years ago just like on the OHT the Serge features a.

Few of the tools that are accessible from the outside without having to open. One of them is the knife which is a nice generous longer blade. It deploys just by using your thumb. And then it locks into place. You simply depress the lock. And then you can put the blade away on the outside of the Surge. You have four large tools. You have a large serrated blade a large straight blade a saw which. You can also put other bits in here. It also comes with a file that's interchangeable. And a nice larger pair of scissors on the inside of the tool. You can see these are brand-new. These were sent to me the other day by a subscriber mine. You can see this is the new model with the replaceable 154cm cutting blades on the wire cutters pliers.

And needle nose as well other tools on the inside are an awl a large. And small flat blade screwdriver can opener slash cap lifter. And again the bit driver. You can replace and use different bits in. All the tools on the inside to lock into place. You press this button on the inside to release them there's also a hole in the surge. You can put a pocket clip. Or a lanyard as an accessory my favorite of. All has to be the Weatherman Wave it's a little bit smaller. And lighter than the surge in features pretty much the same tools. You can get several finish options. You can get it in the black oxide the satin. Now comes in this green. Or orange you can also find it in blue. And there is a camo version floating around the wave is just a great mix of size. And versatility as well as useful tools. It has tools that are accessible on the outside. Ifind myself using the. Any other multi-tool just like the surge. It also has this slot on the side. You can slide in the accessory pocket clip making it nice for everyday carry just like on the surge.

You have a large straight blade serrated blade a nice saw. That also works really well for striking a ferrocerium rod. And a file you can see. That the file is fixed. And not replaceable as a bit. Whereas on the surge. You can interchange the file. And the saw and on the surge. You get the large scissors. Whereas on the wave. You don't again all the tools lock into place with. That little lock you depress. It to unlock on the inside of the wave no replaceable wire cutter blades like on the Serge but. You do get a nice pair of wire cutters pliers needle nose. And then several tools on the inside the other tools on the inside of the wave are a pair of scissors. Now they're not as large as the ones on the outside of the Serge but. They work really well a flat blade screwdriver a small sunglass screwdriver which. You can flip around from flat to Phillips a bit driver again very similar as on the surge.

And the OHT and then a cap lifter slash bottle opener as. Ishowed you before. You can get the bit kit. And further extend the usefulness of. This bit driver some of the tools also feature a ruler which is actually pretty useful there's. One on the wave the surge. And also the rebar there's as well. Several sheath options. You can get with your Weatherman tools. This is the standard nylon sheath. This is the I use for my wave. Ialso have a little flashlight in the side. You can see that there's. These little nylon pockets on the side so. This works really well for the wave. And then I can also slide the bit kit right into the back of the pouch into the other compartment there so.

Ihave the wave the bit kit. And a flashlight this works great for my survival kit. Or bug out bag as well as just keeping in the car. Or keeping handy whenever. Ineed a multi-tool. You can also get more tactical nylon sheath. That features MOLLE webbing on the back as well as being able to put. It on your belt loop. One came with the surge. What is going on everybody so. Another tool overview. Some slight use with. It so I'm giving my first impressions. And things like you go back. One video I did a video on the SOG baton q2 multi-tool accidentally got. It from the Amazon center. Ibought the q3 from which is. What this video is about. Idecided to keep they gave. Me a discount code for the price difference. Ido intend on getting the q1 in the q4 there's there's only four tools in the SOG baton series. Now have two of them. And they're just they're blowing me away, so I'm probably gonna end up getting the other two so stay tuned for those videos but. One is just so damn cool it's so different. Iabsolutely just fell in love. And Layton loved it can't. Even talk right fell in love with. It I'll be carrying it for like four. Or five days and yesterday. It came in super clutch for me. Iwas replacing my halogen lights on my pop-up camera to. All LED lights it quite a bit during. That process especially. One tool on I definitely didn't expect to use but. Iwas like oh I do have. That so yeah without further ado.

It is SOG Bataan q3 just look at. That sexiness just look at. That it's so modern looking and sleek. And just slides in the pocket so well with. This pocket clip it's just awesome. And it's a completely different take on the multi-tool platform. And I'm so glad I discovered. You can in any way swing buying one of these. Iwould definitely recommend. It I'll put the link down below. Ibought mine on Amazon yes. Ihad a little mishap but the second time around was perfect. And I'm sure your experience will be the same but I'll put a link down below $7999 is. What I got this for prices might go down. This is fairly new series of tools by SOG so just like. Anything prices might go down in the future so keep an eye out for them.

You do like this but just can't really swing it rights. Now alright so it is a full-size multi-tool does not look like. You can see the tools. All there but you might be wondering how the hell does. This thing pack pliers well. It just slides open. And there's your pliers spring-loaded awesome it's got like an internal spring I do believe. You might be able to remove. That pivot and service. It ever needs that I'm not to sure of but yeah just bad ass so quick rundown with. All the tools all right so. You got two sides all outside accessible which. You need tools its very handy. And convenient to have them outside accessible like tools like my Weatherman rebar. And stuff it's not too much of a hassle but. All the tools you have to unfold. It to get to so this is just.

Another way to give. You ease of access to. All your tools so you got two sides here let's get them. All lock with this lock back design here so right. Now they're all locked so first. One little I grew up. Iglass screwdriver very fine point flathead driver there for kids tools. And eyeglasses sunglasses what-have-you. Anything super small like. That so they're not walking because they're. All out but I assure. They do lock I'll show. What the last tool I get to. This is just a little. All punch whatever. It could be used for a lot of things boring a hole in leather. You know feeding thread through just. All kind of stuff it could do. All kind of stuff haha. And then you got eight see. They lost because it's only two out right. You got a wire stripper combo'd with a slightly two-dimensional Phillips screwdrivers.

That appears to be about a p2 size which is a very common size so. That snaps in there. This part I actually used the hell out of. It last night it's a little sharpened chisel scraper thing and. Iwas working on the lights replacing all the lights on my camper. Ipulled off had a they were. All cocked around the edges so. Ihad to pry them up. And then this worked perfectly to scrape. All the double-sided tape. And caulk whatever the previous owner just went nuts with trying to seal those lights up so. This actually worked perfectly. Iwas so glad it was just literally in my pocket so that's. That side this side tools are very easy to come out as. You can see its kind of slammed there so. You could pick and choose. And select which you want. Or just get them all out like. Ijust did there as. Isay it's easy I struggle so. You got a little blade there. Iconsider all blades on. All my multi tools backups.

Inever really use them. Anything were to happen catastrophic failure on my blade. Whatever I always have a multi-tool. And my multi tools always have a blade so. Idon't use these pretty much at. All ever little two-sided file. One side is good for wood. One side is good for metal a little file there. You could probably use. This end as maybe a little flat-head screwdriver. Idon't know if it's meant for. That but then you got a bottle out bottle opener. And then another flathead driver right there it's sort of medium. And then you got your can opener. You could probably do. Something with that little piece there but can opener.

Iwill say with the chisel. Iwill recommend to not ever try to use the chisel as a flathead screwdriver. It does have a sharpened edge so you'll ruin. It as a chisel it comes to a very fine point there so just a little word of caution. You do get this tool. Iwould advise against using this as a large flat head. Because you're just gonna ruin. And roll the edge and it's going to bend. And you're gonna be pissed so that's the two plyer head very nice pretty stout not too long. And slender but it does come to a pretty fine point there. You can see the light through. Both generals do taper. And make contact there into a pretty fine little gripping edge there. And then of course you got the big rounded gripped area for grasping bolts. And things and not heads. And stuff like and then. You have non-replaceable wire cutters in their soft wire. And then it goes to. That little circle area is for harder wire.

And small cables and stuff like. This thing is just so bad ass. How I've been carrying it is let. Me grab keys I was carrying my wallet in my back left pocket. And then this down just like. And clip it to my back left pocket so. It rides more like. And then I always back left pocket. Iclip my keys to the belt loop above. And then I put my keys down in next to my wallet so stuff. They don't jingle and stuff doesn't fly off my keys. And stuff but this is a place. That I've never been able to run a multi-tool. Once with clips everything they're just way too wide. They got the two arms. That fold together I'll just I'll grab the wing man. It nearby so this has a clip as. You can see with it next to the wallet you're doubling your width. And that's just that's just enough wider. Ican't carry this configuration so obviously. You don't carry a flashlight like. II carry mine front left pocket clipped in. You could have your knife on your right side your multi-tool on your left side.

And there you go so definitely opens up. Some different methods. Or ways of caring with. This design and it's just so damn cool it's cool. Imean I'm showing a. Few people so far they're like. What how is this never been a thing before. Ireally don't know so with the slide action. Idon't have enough room here but. One hand open Abul you want to call. It with just force down like. Ihad to do it twice there. We go so you can just fly. It open like that rotate. It around and there. You go yeah I don't know. Idon't know what else to say I'll go to the specs for it. Italked about price. Everything close length is five point eight inches for reference a dollar bill is exactly six inches so.

You don't have a measuring tape nearby. You want to see because you're gonna go run. You can do that with a diode bill. And the origin is China has 13 tools the blade steel which. Ibelieve is just for the blade it's 5 CR 15 MOV I'm not quite sure of the rest of the steel yeah black. And gray anodized tells. All the tools here the weight is awesome the weight of six ounces so. If you're huge about weight. This would be perfect. If you're a backpacker. And you're really concerned about weight. This gives you a lot of function for not a lot of weight. If you're talking weight. Imean six ounces it's. Ican almost guarantee it's in part due to the aluminum construction but six ounces compared to like. This is twelve or fourteen just. Each have their part in the world but. If you're not huge and carrying the giant heavy multi tools like. This isn't that huge.

Or heavy I have the Weatherman surge. That thing is like it feels like two pounds. That thing is huge but obviously different tools different usages but hey full-sized multi-tool for six ounces in. This cool of a form I'm loving it so that's pretty much. All the specs their height weight. Everything steel so yeah. You want to see that I'll put a link down below for this. Everybody my name is Tony. Iwant to just go over the benefits of. This mr twister electric fillet knife sure does help. You have a lot of fish to fillet I'm in love with. It just came back from a day on the lake got. Some nice walleye in the box it's a simple procedure. You just take one slit on the side. And look how easily. It goes right through there. One side complete you flip. It over to the same thing on the other side to tell. What offs with what is also nice as. This new fish filleting table. That sure does help out matters. You got the fillet you simply just strip. It rights off the skin. You like the skin you can scale. And keep the skin but. You don't it's a simple procedure just hold the tail let. Me spray along the skin. And it's done to fillet less. Than a minute sure do love. These fish lane tables. And the mr twister electric fishing knife.

Unscrew the left-handed thread EzyLock not Remove the packing sleeve. And the packing washer Put the wheel on to the shaft together with the EzyLock nut Lock the wheel by turning it anti clockwise by hand whilst holding the honing wheel Insert the pointer into the jig so its tip points towards the angle scale Then place the jig on the axis. And secure it gently with the locking screw Set your desired angle For example a knife with a 30° edge angle is set at a 15° sharpening angle Keep the knife-edge parallel to the grinding wheel whilst sharpening Follow the edge profile during the whole sharpening If your knife has been sharpened to the set angle previously 2. Or 3 passes on each side is sufficient Remember to always sharpen with the same number of passes on. Each side Apply approximately the same pressure as. When you cut with the knife When. You feel the burr along the entire edge the first step is completed If. You cannot feel the burr sharpen. Some more Make sure to always hone with the honing wheel rotating away from the edge otherwise the knife will cut into the wheel When. You no longer feel the burr your knife is ready to use Some knives have a wider handle which might get in the way whilst sharpening When. You sharpen such knives move the jig on the axis so. That the full length of the knife’s edge is in contact with the wheel Move the jig in the opposite direction. When sharpening the other side of the knife When. You have moved the jig remember to ensure. That your angle setting is still correct There is a removable magnet attached to the reverse side of the jig which collects the steel particles during sharpening The magnet can be cleaned with a tissue… ….

And then be put back again When you’re done sharpening you can pull the cord around the machine A click function by the cord’s outlet keeps. Everything in place The handle makes. It easy to move the machine. If needed Good luck!.

The Kershaw oh so sweet a tale of two knives. What are you talking about late Boy Scout those are just two exact duplicates of the same knife. They are they maybe there are. Some differences there let's see let's have a look scales look the same the pocket clip looks the same just in different positions the blade shape looks basically the same is. It really two different knives trust. It is I'll get into the details here in just a second first I'll tell. You an old story actually the first story. Iever told on YouTube was about the Kershaw oh so sweet. And the new version which is. On the updated version. You can see the aligners here. It is hollow ground instead of flat ground. And also it's not ground from as high up. And the vectors as far. That comes is a little different. Iwent into that quite a bit in my first ever video. It was pretty much the reason. Istarted my youtube channel was to address. That with Kershaw and talk about the problems. Iwas having with that knife. Ifeel like they've pretty much ironed out those problems which was basically a centering issue. This one's still not perfect but it's not given the same friction. That old and the deployment is adequately fast. And adequately easy so. Ifeel like they've pretty much ironed out. Whatever problems this knife had it's really just still a little bit of the nostalgia. Iwas missing for that original version.

Ipassed up at a knife shop so long ago but. Ihave in my possession. How does that happen well. Iactually got that in a knife sale. That a fellow youtuber was having I'm lucky enough to grab. It from him it was a bit used slightly beat-up. Some scratches on it's not from. Me that's from the previous owner. It resharpens it works pretty well. Now of course there are downsides to having the old version of the Kershaw oh so sweet. This is the that was initially released. They kind of quickly said no. We need to change a couple things. Because maybe that Aust six a steel isn't quite up to par maybe. You were not getting enough of. Some for somehow for whatever reason we're not getting good supply of.

We need to change while we're changing. That let's change some other stuff like the liners which. You cannot see in this version they're in their yeah it's in there. Ionly get a light out. Iwant to kill you with brightness but maybe. You can see there are liners in there. Ithink the weight also changed a little bit between the two versions not so sure about. That but whatever the case the real difference. Iwas missing out on was. This sweet line right here. That grind and the flat grinding of. That knife which is so cool so attractive it's really just a looks thing for me really just an aesthetic thing frame ergonomically they're pretty much the same carry ability basically the same knife as far as the looks go. Iprefer that old however they've also kind of updated the updated. And they're bringing. That back a little bit. This is actually looking different from the. You saw in my original video, so they're kind of gradually moving maybe back to.

This same grind probably will never go back to a flat grind they're just. Isuppose it's more expensive. Than a hollow grind easier to mass-produce probably. Idon't know I do believe it's still made in yes China. Now with HCR 13 MOV steel as opposed to the aw609 edge. That well okay just. Hey guys Jeremy aura tactics today we're going to be looking at an EDC folding pocket knife the Kershaw oh so sweet alright guys, so we're up top on the bench here. This is the Kershaw oh so sweet. Ido have to say this is a pretty sweet little pocket knife I've been carrying this on a regular basis for the last. Few months I want to make a quick video to tell. You about this particular EDC knife has a lot of neat features first of. Ireally like the opener style a lot of knives have the little post right here. You can use to flick open with your thumb on. This knife Kershaw has. What they call their speed safe it's a flipper style assisted opener. This is a spring assisted opening knife. Ido really like this flipper style. Ihave to say I'm probably gonna be looking for more EDC knives in the future. That have this style of opener. Ido like it over the thumb post design Kershaw also heat treats. This blade which is made out of eight CR 13 MOV blade steel. And brings out a lot of positive characteristics. These are going to be good edge retention strength hardness. And wear resistance the handle on.

This is a glass filled nylon. Or Tzeitel it offers a good balance on durability. And cost-effectiveness Kershaw has also incorporated a textured fish scale like pattern. That gives the oh-so-sweet a unique look. And the pocket clip on. This can be reversed top. Or bottom so you can carry. It points down or point up. This makes it really good for. Both left-handed and right-handed carriers which is a plus for me being left-handed. Ialways like when things can be ambidextrous so just a. Few quick specs on this overall length on. This comes in at 7 and a quarter inches blade length at 3. And 1/8 inches the steel on. This like I said is an 8 CR 13 MOV which is a Chinese steel the 9 CR Steel's from China are roughly equivalent to the AUSA 8th steels.

One thing I would say on these knives the 8 CR Steel's are definitely the least. Iwould go with don't bother with. Anything less than an eight CR steel. They just aren't durable enough in my opinion to make for a good EDC blade. This blade does feature a drop point style. And the website for Kershaw Alissa's as a hollow ground the handle material like. Isaid is a glass reinforced nylon Tzeitel handle the weight on. This comes in it right at three ounces. This is spring-assisted. And a liner lock design. And the handle is going to be steel lined. Now as far as the actual blade steel. This is gonna vary from 56 to 58 on the Rockwell scale for hardness. That will vary a bit from manufacturer to manufacturer Kershaw does not list a specific rockwell hardness on their website.

Now for me this knife has a lot of prose the pattern provides really good traction. While not being overly aggressive I'm able to keep a really good grip on. Ialso like the aesthetics of. This particular pattern. And well that's not the. Most important part of an EDC blade. Whenever it can also be pleasing to look at that's a bonus for me. Though so sweet also holds its edge well I've carried. One regularly like I said for a. Few months and I've only had to sharpen. It about twice a month the 8 CR. And 9 CR Steel's like s8 will require a little bit. More regular sharpening than tougher options like a d2. Or a m3 90 steel if your knives get pretty heavy use.

You may notice this needs about. Once a week sharpening mine's fairly moderate so. Itend to sharpen mine every couple of weeks overall the ergonomics on. This is really good hand sizes will vary obviously but. Ifeel like the shape of. This handle fits nicely in your hand. And I'm able to maintain a good strong grip. Though there's no jimping on the blade. Or the handle itself. This also has a great price point for most retailers. This is gonna be under $20. Ipaid about $1800 for this on Amazon as far as the cons are definitely going to be a. This price point generally the lack of jumping on the spine is definitely a con for me I'd much rather see.

Then not but it's not an absolute deal breaker in an EVC knife like. Isaid the grip on here is good enough. That I'm able to keep a nice solid grip so. This was a tactical knife I'd be a lot. More put off by the lack of jumping but for this. This is gonna be okay especially at the price point. That the Tzeitel isn't the strongest material out there but again for the price. Than adequate this is held up. Idon't tend to baby my item so. These get tossed around a lot. Everything and this is held up really well, so I've been really happy with. It for less than 20 bucks. Ihave to say overall. This knife isn't the best in. One given area but overall. This is a great package for what you're paying for it as far as my final thoughts go.

If you're currently in the market for an EDC knife definitely give the oh-so-sweet. Some serious consideration it's a great combination of design materials. And mechanics for what you're paying for this. And the total package makes. One of the most well-rounded folders in the under $40 category. Both the blade in the handled materials balanced hardness. And flexibility and can also withstand the abuses of daily use at least for my experience Kershaw's have always been really rock-solid. And affordable for me the cursor. All owe so sweet definitely upholds. And let's face you really just can't beat 20 bucks for such a good knife so like. Iwanted to do just a quick video to talk about. This here you have. They coulda came up. Though but yeah there. It is Kershaw overall length is 7. And 3/8 inches blade length is 3. And 1/2 inch it's got a drop point partial hollow grind the handle is a gr n which is kind. Ihate gr and tell the truth but yep there. It is no it's a flipper. It is assisted there's no other ways to open. It just the flipper. Idon't mind necks I'd like flippers anyways but 42 ounces the retail is 40 bucks. You can usually find it for around low 20s 24. Iactually spent too much on. Ididn't get it off the internet. Ibought it from a store. Iwas out shop I paid too much. Ipaid like 30 bucks. Something stupid for this there's your little pocket clip. This is only for the right side carry. Either tip up or tip down. Nothing for the lefties sorry about. That little lanyard hole. That hole is pretty small. Iwouldn't imagine really getting 550 through. That'd be tough not. Iput freaking lanyards on folders anyways but it's there liner lock lock ups pretty early. It deploys very fast I'll give it.

That handle shapes yeah it's its pretty good it's pretty good. You know there's a little bit of a ramp but there's no jumping or Nothing semi-open construction spacer thing going on right there. Now the texturing is yeah it's there that's about. Nothing for your thumb really a little bit of a finger choil. That does hold and that's. One thing I like about flippers. You know they act as like a finger choil as soon as. You flip it around it's right there to help. You from going forward. Now the handle is kind of small out of. Iwear like a regular large. And my hand you know it's almost like coming off the end of. It does work you know. And for little daily tasks. It probably cools so let's try. This thing out a little bit your motherfucker don't make. You with mine oh so sweet yeah it's not very intimidating but let's try the initial sharpness. Idon't know this is gonna work cuz there's a beat-up piece of paper I'd had my backpack hey we'll try.

It rights hey all right. Isay yeah that's this oh yeah it's pretty sharp he's got to work out my people cutting skills it's doing it. Igot a big mess to pick up that's okay so initial sharpness is pretty good. And the tip feels pretty pointy let's try. This thing out on some wood next we'll try a little bit of whittling see. That goes that's like. It seemed pretty damn sharp oh yeah Wow actually that's flying right in there. You know most of time little folders ain't meant for bush craft crab but. Isay why not yeah you just have a fold. Or a fixed blade instead but boulders are nice to have. Ialways got me anyways. Or couple three for whatever it's doing the job pretty damn well a little bit bigger piece.

Some nice control push cuts. That works well and it's sharp everywhere on the blade so it's pretty consistent at least nice next we'll do. Some stab that goes. Some hammer stabs now I'm not gonna full-blown test a little folder. You know I have baton folders before but. You know I'm not out here to just direct my collection. Idon't mind using it. And trying it out but just wrecking it for you know. Iain't got that so wow steps pretty decent for a little guy see. This choil hurts at. Or the handle this is probably the. You know grueling thing you're gonna do with a fold. You know handle lies. How it's gonna feel stabbing your put a lot of force. You know you're coming to a dead stop. Unless you're stepping flesh but yeah stabbing in well does hurt a little bit.

That choil on my pinky swear my hand is does hurt there a little bit try a couple thrusts next see. This hurts I have a feeling. That choice get hurt. And a thrust every time. Ifeel my thumb sliding up since there's no traction yeah the toy hurts a little not. That bad I keep doing it well but. That being so smooth the top of. It my thumb just keeps sliding forward so. That could be bad the toil is there to stop. You but it'd be nice for this to have traction — instead of totally smooth like. This really ain't get to work but I'm gonna just try chopping at. It a little bit to see. Anything tests a little bit of the durability — from the shock of hitting it checks out the old lock off. And stuff see anything happened lock ups about the same looks the same to.

Me anyways deploys good still no wiggle side to side up. And down that's cool oh so sweet. You think I forgot to mention the steel HCR 13 mov so it's higher up on. That Chinese scale would. Irecommend this little knife I'd say well. It depends on what you want. It for and how much. You want to spend for what I spent on. It thirty bucks no I'm definitely not there's cooler for sure for thirty bucks 20 bucks yeah pretty much. Iwouldn't carry this for a defensive knife just testing it stabbing and stuff. How much my hands lit around on. How small I don't do't feel like. Ihave a really good purchase on. And it's just kind of slippery. And stuff so for deep defensive I'd say no for just regular crafts like Oh cutting cardboard opening boxes doing little stuff whittling sticks. It weren't good for. That I'd say yeah but for what's out there in the price range I'd say. Irecommend you know. What I'm saying I don't know.

That doesn't make any sense right I'm. What I'm trying to say is it's not a bad knife but. What I knew I wouldn't have bought. It so take it for what it's worth there. You go read one to ten I'd give it like a four. And a half four and three quarters it's okay but. You know it's not as cool as. Ithought I first bought.
