What’s up y’all um, it’s joseph green, as y’all can tell from my youtube channel. I haven’t posted a video in quite a while, and the only two videos I have on my channel right now are those two: you know: hunting videos where I’m kind of showing y’all, where we’re hunting and what we’re hunting and what that’s kind of like here in alabama- and I think I put one of my videos- was from tennessee actually on redfoot lake or beside real foot lake but anyways today.
What I’m gonna do or try to do is give a review a duck call, and I use this duck call. I got it for christmas last year, so I used it for the whole month of you know the end of december and the whole month of january. Our duck season goes out january, 1st or 31st. This is the chase. Roberson pro series from duck commander.
It’s a double, recall, uh. I think this is oh, don’t get me lying. I forgot what wood this is, but anyways, let’s get down to what how it did in the field. It did good. It has a kind of whiny tone to it: it’s raspy, but um when it got really cold up in missouri. I hunted with it in missouri too, when it got really cold.
It was kind of sticking on me a little bit. No big deal just popped. The reeds out, wiped them off and kept rolling kept running it. But after doing that about three times you know it could have been me. You know I could have spit in the call too much or something like that. Someone else might not have that problem, but me personally, I did, but it wasn’t too big of an issue.
I’m not you know, knocking the sound or anything. The sound is great. It’s a great call. I was running into that with some other calls too. So I believe it is me, but I’m just going to throw that out there so lay everything out on the table. So, let’s give her a quack [Laughter] back back back sounds pretty good.
If you ask me, I, like it yeah, it’s the jace robertson, pro series. I think it was when I got it. I believe that it was retailing like 54, I think um, I’m not sure if I got it on sale or or how that went down, because I’m I think I got a little cheaper. I think I got mine for like 45, but I’m not sure I mean I’m just talking to y’all but yeah.
I think right now. It’s retailing for 54 99. If y’all want one good calls, I don’t think 54 99 on the grand scheme of things to get a good duck call. Sometimes you know they can get pricey. I think this is a good duck call. You know it’s kind of in that balance of you know it’s on the higher end of lowering calls, but it’s a good call.
You know so I’ll give y’all another bite. I didn’t plan on this being a long video. This is all I really wanted to do. I figured I’d, throw something out there. Let people watch it. Give me some feedback. That’s another thing comment. Y’all’s favorite calls and calls that I should try. I have a duck commander inferno and it’s crazy.
I don’t want y’all to think I’m just harping on duck commander, but the duck commander inferno. When I first pulled out the box I quack on it. It was so raspy and I had a and it was on the lower end, and I I was thinking it kind of was flat, but lo and behold I pulled that joker out in the duck blind and it’s the only call I have on my lanyard.
That was turning ducks. That day, and I know this is supposed to be a jace robertson, pro series review. I know that, but I’m just saying you know it can day to day those ducks might want a flatter sounding call. They might want something a little more wine here, something louder, something quieter. It just depends.
You know so yeah, that’s my little spill about that. But those are the only so the jase robson pro series, the rnt daisy cutter and the duck commander inferno are the only mallard calls that I have on my lanyard right now, and I also have because we’re in alabama we get a lot of you know mixed varieties flying around.
At the same time, and just about you know, if you see that bird in alabama you’re probably going to be able to work it just because they, you know everything’s, real, close and they’re, not getting real high, you rarely rarely see migratory birds. You know most of the time when, when I’m hunting, if I see a bird I’m calling at it and most of the time they’re either going to give me a look or they’re just going to come straight in that’s the way that works.
But I have to excuse my ac it’s kind of loud but yeah. I got those three miler calls. I have a field proven raptor, canada, goose call, and I love that thing. Um I’ll call him mini piece with that, and I have a flex tong wood duck call. Now I had the duck commander. Wood duck call, but there were some sounds that I was hearing these ducks doing and yeah you could do them on a duck commander called.
I haven’t, heard a wood duck call that sounds more realistic than that flexed home with that car. You know it’s, you just supply a little bit of back pressure and you can tear it up with it dude and that’s the majority of what we kill down here. Are wood nugs, at least in my medical woods here, but yeah. So if y’all have any calls that you want me to look at or try to get or something like that, comment them below man and I’ll check them out, but I’m a college student, so don’t go commenting no 300 calls or nothing crazy, don’t go too crazy with it and then tell me y’all’s thoughts too.
Well, I came back from y’all it’s cool comment. What did the youtubers always say? Comment like and subscribe? You know you gotta do all of that. It’s all right! Your bi! I’m not doing this for any clout or anything. I’m just doing this, because I’m a college student who’s bored and doesn’t want to do homework. That’s what I’m doing all right I’ll highlight! Y’all later you.
Seventies early since early seventies, we used to blow them over with cut down them all old cause. I wanted one that was a little closer to abduct a little easier on you, but fast forward to 40 years and in 1450 now, but these young bucks over here I trained them. You know, but up they come up with this little time. What are y’all, calling it we’re calling it the Jase Robertson pros here sweetness is what you should have called it.
What part didn’t you like? The Jase Robertson part of the pro series, oh, where the grand scheme of things are they’re, making difference as long as it sounds like that, so you boys, I’m now officially I’ve, never told you boys this, but that thing is better than anything I ever built, so y’all were trained well, the way I see it stone. You got my granddaughter out the deal and I’m placing a duck blind. You Sly Fox, you good trade, good trade know when I blew it I said I’d put my name on that, and so he did I, don’t know where he came up with the pro series, because is that for pro zone? Well, there’s three of them in series.
You got this one for [, __, ], Garber good and you got the acrylic barrel. Then you have this one here woods here: the wood version of it come on. Oh, how do you do I always thought when you put Pro Series on something I always thought that come out in the up yourself divisions, Pro everybody’s approached me and I thought it’d. Make me sound like a pro all I want to see. Is a mallard duck flying along hey honey. He locks up by Mark, Clark I’ve.
Seen that that’s all I want you here to do that. It’s your will easy it’s the easiest called flow of ever it is you.
Waterfowl just got a new call. Today, it’s the Jays, rapid and Pro Series duck call. They asked me to do a review on how I call and all the cadences I like to use when I’m calling so I figured I’d. Do a review on this call and I do this at the same time, since my calls are down south right now on my lanyard but I’m, it’s a nice sounding call, it’s it’s wood.
So it’s it’s really quiet! That’s how that’s what I like I, really highly against acrylic calls because Mon they’re too loud they normally and in my opinion they scare birds away. So I I like to go to a would call for one because it’s quieter, it’s a more natural, sound, I! Think and I normally choose a double reed, because it’s easier to blow and again it’s quiet here, but I’ll go ahead and blow this call for you guys and see what you think: [Laughter] [Laughter] [Laughter] I love.
This call it’s very easy to blow I like the raspy tone. It’s got more of a natural hen tone to it and then I like to mix up my my chuckles I, go from a single and then I add a quack. At the end, that’s really all I’ve got got to say about it. Wood calls non acrylic, go quiet, it’s that’s! That’s my way to go so, and this Jase Pro Series.
It’s a really nice. Looking call it’s very light. It’s made out of wood I’m, not sure what kind of wood it is. I. Think it’s made out of oak I’m, not sure, but very nice call. It fits in your hand very well and it’s it’s extremely easy to blow. Beginners I would go with this call either that or River mallard I blow a river mallet, mostly and then I’m gonna I’m gonna blow this quite a bit next year.
So go ahead and give this a give this a check out so.
You ever know that you probably have an advantage, because the person where the bigger silo has more air and that’s what this is about- a lot of air going through a death toll, it’s showing how you can control here’s the problem that I personally out with it it’s the world’s greatest duck caller and a God, would not place. In fact, a duck would finish in last place.
You know what, because they dug and Mallahan will go. So what is that a speed gun? You said well Whitman, what is all this stuff? They call it machine gun, that’s thousands of miles feeding! That’s the same time! Here’s the problem with that. If you do that, when you’re hunting, you got 12 because you don’t want to dunk, that’s not realistic. Remember I told you.
There were more important things to being a successful duck hunter than just blowing duck call what you want to do with these is how realistic sounds that go with your decoys and I? Let him go when she’s feeding, she’ll quack, that’s what she does this she’ll do a Hale call greeting coughs. You know when we make that sound. When aren’t we see ducks go, they lock your wings because they thought that was a valid.
They turn and they look and they see the decoy. We may have one jerk strength moving around we’re trying to convince, while mallards that are decoys, that our faith are real. So in essence, my judges have wings when they lock and they comb. The hair stands up on the back of my neck. Okay can I convince Wow, Kennedy wheel, all the way down there loose yeah, then those real that turns me on I’ll start getting yourself good, Japanese government food.
We get better we’re trying to call them in which I’m chilled.
Invented this call by mistake: we had a prototype from a wooden call, we built it, it wouldn’t work. We had a series of reed manipulations and we used air bubble technology all duck. Pickers have a noticeable air bubble inside the plastic, and the result was a flat sounding mallard hen cup and what I mean by flat is that it’s a proven fact that mallard hens do not echo so when you’re making the sound of a mallard hen if it doesn’t have a sharp sound, that’s a good thing, if you’re in the woods or you’re doing close in calling.
So that’s what this call is good at. It does have some range on the high end, which is a good thing which makes it versatile here’s what it sounds like.
Hi I’m Tim price I’m up here in North hunt today, but one thing that’s really important when you’re duck hunting is having a good quality duck. Call these new Jase, Robertson Pro Series duck call from duck commander we’re on the best calls I’ve ever used. They are the most realistic call takes really little air to blow and it’s a great great call so make sure you check out duck commander calls and the new Jase Robertson Pro Series calls.
Perfect for kids or beginners actually made after a kids toy. We made some subtle change in the material to make the perfect complimentary call a little better. Sharper sounds and great looks round out this call capable of mimicking the Pintail, widgeon, morning dove, bobwhite quail, Green-Winged teal and the Mallard Drake. Its also a whistle that can come in handy for working your best Retriever on those long retrieves when they need a little handling. This gumbo of possibilities is why every Duckman carries a Pintail/widgeon whistle on their lanyard-regardless of their preference in Mallard call. We use them as a back up for the main Mallard calling on good days, and we have also noticed that some of the most call shy Ducks seem to get a little more comfortable by the simple whistles of this little call. Endless possibilities of combinations of sounds make this call a must have and permanent resident of your call lanyard. 6 calls in one-teal Drake, Pintail Drake, Mallard Drake, wigeon Drake, dove, quail perfect companion/confidence call to add to your routine great for youngsters wanting to help out attractive and forgiving cal-easy to blow made of high impact plasticю
Confidence call for everybody to have on their lanyard when the Ducks get leery in late season. This call right here will help you kill more ducks. There’s no doubt about it. You can do a pintail, you can do a wigeon, you can do a green-winged teal Drake. You can do a Mallard Drake all on this call they’re six and one because it’ll also do the sounds of a quail and a dove for the Ducks.
The first one you have is a pintail you’re gonna cover this hole right here and then you’re gonna as Phil is so known to say, flutter your uvula. That’s that little ball of meat in the back of your throat. Super simple and tail sounds something like this. They don’t make a whole lot of sound. So that’s your pin tail Widgeon. The second note always goes up.
So it’s a three note. This is the one we’ll do it just like it. When widgets are coming into the decoys. I know you know this. They are very talkative, so it always helps to use that if your decoy and widget green-winged teal Drake doesn’t do a whole lot. Just does a little peeping. That’s call to do that too. That’s all they do really helps because a lot of times, green winged Drake’s, are more vocal than green, winged hens.
So early in the morning, you see a bunch of teals start doing that little bit of peeping. That’s what you do! Don’t use it during teal season, you’re, hunting, blue wings, then blue wing Drake’s don’t make a sound Mallard Drake! You can do it all so you’ll just cut the end with your hand, super simple and home a low bass. Note! That’s all you got to do.
Pin tail Widgeon call six in one whistle! Add it to your lanyard.
See here, I have a couple of dc2 hunters [Laughter]. What I would say to you: oh-oh-oh your tongue doesn’t move. What you got to do, mr Helms is you’ve, got to learn to say ten, ten, ten, ten and the reason it’s ten is because look! Oh, oh, oh no pressure! But ten, ten ten when you say t sounds I told Jase coming when you say t sounds it gives you some pressure because your tongue enables you to put pressure on these reeds. So what’s the difference? No pressure! There is pressure.
It all comes down to what one does with one stone. So when you blow a duck all right, you say: well, it’s more control! Breathing! So it’s! If it’s a feed call it’s quick, ten Sam’s! If I don’t take my tongue and raise it up against the roof of my mouth and come down all you have is so it’s got to be ten ten, ten, ten [Laughter]! It’s not that you come from your gut. It’s just that your gut tightens up. When you say the word ten everybody say ten, ten you’ll feel your stomach tighten up! That’s why? They’ve always said: well, you got to come from the gut.
What they’re really saying is you’d have to say a word that your stomach tightens to say it si si. So it’s pressurized there any t, sound, I’m, saying 10, because 10 your tongue must hit the roof of your mouth twice: 10 it drops down on the T, no 10, no, and that’s exactly what you’re doing that’s where your tongue is and that’s what it’s doing with each note. That’s five little quick tens draw your first note out, say ten, but hold it I’m, saying ten, ten, ten ten, so whether it’s a feed call whether it’s a quack or whether it’s five to seven notes, which basically all the duck ever does get a squirrel if you’re in water, 12, inches or less, if you’re in water, you’re hunting in water, that’s 12, inches or less.
That tells you that that’s it’s deeper water, as puddle ducks will feed so puddle ducks he’ll get wall. Widgeon Mallard pintail is deep as they go where they just bobble up, then they come back well as far as they can go down, is about 12, inches or less. So, if you’re in water, 12, inches or less he’ll, give a feed call. No look while you’re learning here, there’s the dork of the high school. Don’t forget you say well what, if I’m in water over 12 inches, don’t use a Pico, don’t even give him a feed call by the way, don’t go.
That’s not a peacock! That’s just what people call it because they feed call that’s what you just heard and look yeah, but you take your hand and you cut it a little bit. You open a little bit, that’s just with your hand, so this fine tunes the sound of your duck call especially on little finesse stuff like a feet. Call a feed call is a little finesse thing. By and large you don’t have to have the feed call, it doesn’t hurt if you’re in 12, inches of water or less it does hurt.
Give you on water too deep for ducks to feed you’re, giving them feet call they know better. So you hurt yourself by using it when you shouldn’t now what else you want to learn here today for our kills and beavers.

What’s up everyone with me, I’ve got a duck. Bender till call I’m gonna do a little review. Slash test, try out! Whatever of this call before we get started. Please hit that like button and also push that subscribe button, it’s red, bright, red tap it make it tone gray. Do that also hit the notification, but also hunting seasons, just the first hunting season really this year, except for the spring turkey hunt, but it’s coming up in two and a half weeks, I think it’s dove season till season goose season school season, deer season it just keeps getting better and better as we go anyway.
So also I said hit that notification bellow. So y’all can get notifications every time. I put out videos since hunting seasons coming up. That’s like some of the best videos I’ve not had any hunting videos on my channel when I’m, actually in the field, hunting I started it my youtube channel around just under a year ago and I wasn’t really thinking about duck, hunt no I’ve. Definitely any hunting.
I was just still loaning. I can even put videos together, I didn’t know anything about. I just started my channel less than a year ago, so I didn’t really have a time put out any hunting videos, but I’m gonna. Try that this year and enough of talking, let’s get to the call it’s easy to blow it’s made in the: u s, a it’s blue wing, green wing and cinnamon teal call on the back. It shows a little bit about it.
If you would like to read it, please pause and then it shows instructions head in to clean the reeds right down here and how to call pretty simple easy. It’s not much to it. It’s like such a simple easy watch, a video from duck dynasty, and they had this exact same tale, called a new video how to cocktail and I watched it, because when he has blown the thumbnail he’s doing this and I was like hey.
That’s the same car that I just bought so I’m gonna watch the video and pretty cool video links will be in the description below. If you like to see that anyway, this is a teal car and that’s your average debt call. So it’s a little um longer taller, whatever I’d like to say. Well, that’s a little narrow, narrow uh. Anyway, you can pull it apart right there and just follow the parts.
So you can clean, it reads: double read: you can clean it dry, it whatever and then that little piece- and you just set that back on there. Now, if you are about a clean, it then go out. Hunting I would suggest before you go blow it. Why? Because, while ago I was blowing on it and practicing yawns, my teal calling had then took it fall to look at it inside shut it blue sounds totally different.
He was like some squatchy something so I just took it off kind of adjusted. The things put it back together and blew on it and down she’s gonna do one to make sure it sounds good. Okay, that sounds pretty much like it now and pretty cool about that, because you pour I, put Norma duck call, and it’s like that: I, don’t think this comes out and less you get a patch any locks and who wants to break it.
Car, not me, okay! So, first of all how to hold it, you just want to put your thumb right here and your pointer finger right there, and you can just put your fist like that. You can leave it a little open. You can put it tight. You can do that. You just move your hands around here then, if you want to you secondhand and like moving around, and it makes different pictures have been also another thing lots of beginners do.
Is they do this? My siblings do all the time when they are trying to practice on duck, calling hey and I keep telling them it’s like you’re drinking from bottled water. You put your lips around it like this, like you’re drinking form of water, water and another thing you don’t want to just blow from your mouth like you want to make it come from deeper in your throat and stuff and now I’m just going to kind of show you like on the back.
It says you want to say ten into the car like this. This is what it sounds like in the back of the car, and you want to say ten five times now. You can do that and at a walk great, but in the video I watched from duck dynasty. He want to do some like this and that’s just basically how you blow it is nothing really to it, like you saw me doing this because, with my other duck call listen to this.
What sounds more like a real duck? Well, of course, the last one jus stap it she’s changing and stuff, and that just sounds more like a real duck. So you’re supposed to just sounds better sounds more even less sick. So that’s what you want to do with the teal car too anyway, so you get that done pretty simple, just blowing in the call and you’re just doing that now you want to add it four to five.
Just to little notes like in the back. Squat sounds like like just you can say ten, you can say all types of different rhythms, but I’ll just say ten, three simple: how to use it! Yes and it’s that easy now I feel you get better at it, you can change pitch on it and change the little dear friend. Of course, a $200 call do way more than a $10 call, but of all it will walk for till hunting, and it’s only 10 bucks like you, don’t you don’t really need to be expecting and get some really nice super expensive call only 10 bucks, although I’m not saying it’s, not good, it’s and it’s cheap and stuff.
No, it’s nice! It’s it’s dirty! It’s good quality in the United States and I, like it I’m glad I bought it I would recommend it. Links will be in the description box if you like to get one yourself bye, suppose that feel like all. It’s not really hard to blow you just you just have to practice on it. The more you practice, the better you get well I suppose, that’s all I’ve got for today.
I hope you enjoyed this video I hope it was helpful. Please check out my channel and please like and subscribe and I’ll, see you next time.
This is the gadwall Magnum. This is the call which we still say it’s shorter and louder, it’s great for them. Cypress breaks with the green seat on top over to them and gab always loved. So much or you can give this call to a beginning caller and your your kids and they can be part of the game with you, because they’re not gonna scare, anything off with it either gadwall gadwall Magnum.

Thanks for watching so we’ve done a lot of duck, calling videos and we figured we’d, throw it into goose, because the first thing you started out doing throughout the years. Goose call and we’re just gonna- do a very basic honk and show you new beginners. How to do it. I have a short, read, goose call! It’s an MG rush, I, absolutely love it. So essentially what I’m gonna do is do the honk and the way that you put together a goose note is kind of like the way you put it out for a duck, except there is absolutely no voice inflection in your throat the way I’m going to be doing it is with cold air.
So it’s like you’re blowing out candles on a birthday cake. So it’s a same thing with a duck call to cut off the note. You use the meaty part of your tongue, so you have your tongue anchored against the back part of your teeth, I’m, the blob bottom level and you force out air, so I’m gonna kind of go through the first noise you’re gonna hear, and that is a and you notice how it’s really high-pitched and all that notice how I’m also not putting my hands over the call like you would for a normal goose call.
Just to not confuse you guys, because that really confused me, you should be able to do all your notes without having your hand over the call, so you should be able to do. You should be able to do that without having your hands on the call. The only difference is just for the sake of teaching and for you learning you want to learn how to do it. The right way, I know a lot of guys who can break over the reed, but only with their hands on the call, and that’s not the right way to do it.
For me, teaching you how to do this I’m gonna. Do it in the back of the call so I can show you the kind of air I’m presenting you can hear my tongue cutting off the note, so I’m not just really going I’m, not using the back of my throat I’m just blowing it out like a birthday candle in the front of the calls gonna sound like the last night I did there was a clock and that’s without the moan in front of it. Damn near. Every single note will stem from this.
That first part of the call is called the moan. That’s without me, breaking over the Reed, what I’m doing there is I’m having my tongue sitting as low as I can in my mouth. So this is just the normal here. I was going up and down up and down, but it’s not breaking over the read it doesn’t break over the read til I force the air over my tongue. This is really hard if you’ve never blown a short read, goose call, but once you get that down without your hands over it, every other note will go so much faster.
So with my hands, without the call I bring my hand closer to it, am I blowing any different? That’s just my hands are adding it as like a tuning board just like when you’re going like this with a duck call, so the hands are important, but just for the sake of learning, how to do the note properly, don’t use your hands starting out, thanks for watching guys, be sure to like our stuff on Instagram and Facebook and be sure to subscribe to us on YouTube thanks for watching.

Goose flu right here, I ordered it off Cabela’s for $14 I think it was on sale, though I think it’s originally $19 um. It’s really easy to blow really simple, but it makes lots of good. Sounds here’s no chance pretty nice, but it’s um super easy to go. Yeah.
Our grounds with all of the short reads it’s on the market today everybody seems to be blowing short reads and nobody. You never see a flu call anymore. Hardly ever is there still room on your lanyard for a flute color most, definitely because today and this day and time when everybody’s using the same thing short reads, all right, install the short route, the same I’m, not saying that, but if flute has a different tone to it, some guy here, like I, like swing over the water first line I, didn’t carry a water, lanyard and I’m a tile and when you’re, okay, but a clock, I’ll kill this many geese with that sound.
My kids I have anything but definitely a spot for it. They’re inexpensive but you’re blowing instead of pop in the air or if time is coming I’m hungry emphasize, but between your teeth. It’s like a corporate, a wine bottle, but with the short read your comes to coming up pop it not always sometimes it’s like you’re, yawning and you’re. Just the air makes three quick, vibrate I, wouldn’t I wouldn’t go to feel without one. You don’t say: oh no, we don’t get the geese like we used to, but it’s still a killing the king.
Well, let’s let everybody hear what two guys. Most calls have a reed that is the same thickness from end to end. Through a special process, Primes has “shaved” the reed of this call so that the tip of the reed is much thinner and tulip-shaped. This allows the call to be blown with much less air pressure while giving you a perfect sound. It also has a lot of volume, which is needed for large fields or marshes. You will be amazed at the sounds you can get from the Shaved Reed Speck from yodels to the piercing hail call. Features: – Super loud, requires little air – Tulip-shaped reed from 6/1000″ to 14/1000″ thickю
