I'm gonna teach you guys is just a simple cast. And treif anybody can do. You just cast and retrieve. It in it's a steady don't do. Anything else just steady retrieve back. And that's just gonna make the base swim through the water it'll look like a perfectly healthy fish. And maybe something will take. You want to crank one notch basically cast. And retrieve but just every so often every second. Or so just twitch that rod tip. Imean try to just do. It an inch or two but it's gonna be hard you're gonna be doing about a foot but the smallest which. You can get away with it's. What you want to do. And that's gonna make. It looks like an injured bait fish struggling to swim. Because it's gonna dart up. And then sink back down guard up swing back down. And that'll that'll be enough to entice a lot of strikes. You really want to crank. It up a notch you stick your finger in the path of the line as it's coming in. What that's gonna cause. That lure to do is just vibrate the entire way in it's gonna just be twitching and vibrating and sometimes that'll just get a reaction strike it's just such a erratic action. That sometimes fish just can't help themselves they're just like what's.

That crazy face doing I'm gonna eat him so yeah you're sticking your finger in the path of the line. What that's causing is every time. You reel every original line comes around. That lures giving that a little jolt a little jerk jolt. Idon't know if it'll pick up on the camera but. You can kind of see. How that's doing really popular method is to suspend. It underneath a float. Now the trick here is. You want to go with the smallest float. You can get away with. Because a lot of times crappie. Any other fish will hit. These lures just super soft so. You use too big of a float. You won't have any indication. That someone's actually got. This in their mouth. You use the smallest float that'll keep your lure up off the bottom. And still you know still be floating on top then the lightest little strike will show up. You can set the hook on. If you're fishing in a lake with. Some wave action or with a little bit of wind action.

Even in a stream where it's gonna get carried around. You don't need to do. Anything else you just let. It sits there and those marabou feathers on the back end of. That lure they'll sit there. And they'll just pulsate in the water like. And that's I mean just a little bit of actions enough to get a lot of strikes. If you're fishing in really still water like. This pond then just kind of. You got to give it a little twitch every. And then and then just let. It sits just nothing move. That bobber and that's gonna get the it's gonna get the lure underneath there shakin. And those tail feathers just shaking around. If you're gonna get strike there it's gonna typically be right as you're doing it. Or as soon as it drops back down again.

Another alternative method doing. That it's just kind of retrieve. This works great in the wintertime just as slow as. You can so that that floats barely making awake behind itself. What that's doing is it's looking like a bait fish swimming around but just super slow a lot of times crappie on. And bass even will just hammer. He gets them to the right strike zone we're fishing from a docker from a boat. You can vertical jig. It just like you would a spoon. Any kind of jig for. That matter what you're gonna do is gonna let. It floats all the way down to the bottom. Once it's at the bottom you're gonna reel. It up just until the lines tight again so. It seems you drop that rod tip down. That line goes slack. You pick some tension on. What you're gonna do is you're gonna sit there. And you're gonna hop. It up off the bottom. It slides back down and as soon as. It hits the bottom and as soon as.

It goes slack again you're gonna jerk back up again. And just keep doing. That over and over. One of those times that line going slack is gonna actually be a fish grabbing ahold of. You already have the hook set. They grab but they're gonna grab. It on the fall nine times out of ten there. We go perfect little bluegill.
