The new guys Lee enhanced triggers are a Brown ells exclusive product. And gives superior performance over factory ar-15 triggers there are two models of the enhanced triggers the BG 2 SE. And the BG RF the BG 2 SC is an enhanced version of their popular two-stage trigger. That provide superior control. And accuracy while maintaining the robustness. And reliability that guys Lee triggers are known for this trigger gives a smooth 23 pound per stage take-up. And a crisp 12 pound second stage break it’s also ideal for use in precision squad designated marksman type rifles for firearm accuracy. And reliability are critical the guys Lee rapid fire trigger. Or BGR F was developed to give semi-auto only rifles a smooth trigger pull similar to the guys Lee super select fire trigger. That was developed for the US Special Operations units. This trigger is perfect for fast shooting events like three gun competitions as well as recreational shooting the BG RF can be set up with. Either a three point two. Or a four pound pull note the BG RF is a very short light pole.

And reset and therefore is not recommended for bench rest shooting like. All products sold by Brown ells the guys Lee enhanced triggers are backed by our 100% unconditional forever satisfaction guarantee you.

Everybody likes loosen from a mole. And trigger this is the g2 s the stands for guys Lee two-stage kind of like our SSA. That two and a half. And then the two four. And a half all together United marks. You just want to shoot through the target bang four. And a half pounds smooth pull no creak. What we consider a budget trigger for nicely but. We might not consider with. That but one retails for $129159. It doesn’t go through the whole hand checking inspection process of the other ones. You still got your EDM cuts. One out of every batch is tested they’re. All magnetic particle inspected doesn’t have the distinctive laser engraving which you’d be able to see. We left the other side of the trigger at the old. One looks like some markings but. When the holidays come around Christmas Thanksgiving Black Friday Father’s Day Memorial Day Patriots day anytime the gun industry does. You know wide sales. We call the scene you can find this trigger for stupid ninety-nine bucks. And appreciate you see them at. That price buy as and put them in. All your rifles with the prices of the ARS coming down. These days you might get into a rifle nowadays for $400 may not want to put a 250. Or 300 on our trigger in there. Although you know we’ve done stuff like. That in the past but. This is perfect you know you’re doing a bunch of guns budgets build. You want a good reliable nice breaking trigger can’t go wrong with the g2s. And it’s not packaged in a little plastic bag with just the trigger.

And the slave pins you still get the patches the oil the stickers a little swag. And little creature comforts there but ya find trigger. You know it for $159. You know you saved up the extra 30. And gets the SSA something like. That but these guys 400 bucks pick them up it’s just a remarkable trigger out of.

You do guys today I’m going to show. How to put a Magpul. And hands trigger guard in your ar-15. This is the package right here that’s a picture of the trigger guard comes with instructions on how to install. It but I’m going to show. How to do now it’s rather simple but. This will make it easy for anybody. What it does is it gets rid of. This stock trigger guard. And a stock trigger guard is kind of flat its kind of sharp on the edges. It has kind of aggravating gap back here. That rubs on your finger. When you’re shooting when you’re moving if. You move your finger sideways. Whatever it’ll catch. And it’s uh it’s just urban economic Lee. It wasn’t designed well. It was designed to guard the trigger. And there wasn’t much thought put into. Iguess a Magpul trigger guard will fill in. That gap making it smoother. And it’s curved they recommend. When you’re wearing heavy gloves with the stock trigger guard the swing this open to make the room but. You have to swing your trigger guard open leaving your trigger exposed. And not protected what this goes being curved is. More room in that trigger guard for gloves without having to worry about swinging. That out of the way so. What this comes with is. It comes with the trigger guard itself.

One is aluminum they do make them out of plastic. Either way they’re good. Igot the aluminum because that’s. What they had at the store then. If they had the polymer. Iwould have been perfectly happy with. It the polymer one actually has the Magpul logo mold. It looks good it’s durable. They didn’t have any of those are about 995. One is about $1800 I went with. One that’s what they had had the other. Iwould have gotten. Either way it will also come with. This roll pin this roll pins may get. Some light on there is meant to replace. This roll pin on the back of the trigger guard. It comes with this screw. This screw here is meant to replace. This ear you look this particular screw.

Idon’t know you can see. This light this screw has. Some thread Locker on. You might want to have. Some thread Locker just in case. They do provide thread Locker on. You happen to get that doesn’t have the thread Locker on. Isuggest you use just small drop a thread Locker on. It to keep it from working its way out. Ialso suggest having a piece of wood a small block of wood. Something to support the tabs on your lower receiver. You take this roll pin out. You want something. That the roll pin can drop into but it’s gonna support those little ears. Or little tabs they can break they’re not very thick. You bang on them too hard. You push you know we’re in not straight enough. You can cause some damage. Once those break you know.

You know you’re pretty screwed. We want to avoid all costs okay couple things you’re gonna need besides a thread Locker which. You may not need that little block there you’re gonna need an eighth inch punch. You have a roll pin punch that’s excellent a roll pin punch. Idon’t have this is just a flat punch. They do make roll pin punches with basically a little nub. Or little nipple on there. That centers it in roll pin those are great. You have them you don’t. This will work just fine. You just be careful. And you’ll also need a 1/16 inch hex key. Or allen wrench for. That screw there that’s. What we need to get going and you’ll also need a hammer. You don’t need this big. And do not have any small hammers believe. Or a 3 pound hammer so.

We went with all right so first thing we need to do is. You take your punch. Ihave a smaller one here use an eighth inch. Either way for this. It doesn’t matter you’re gonna pop. And spring-loaded push. And then that trigger guard will swing out easy as. That’s the easy part next. You want to use your eighth inch punch. You want to make sure. That we’ve got this set up. And ready to go and make doubly sure. You don’t want to throw up your ears suck. It by the deck you want to gently at. This roll pin out you can check on. It makes sure everything looks good not breaking anything definitely do not want to screw up your lower receiver okay. You need help somebody to hold the gun for you hold the block keep. It steadies whatever. You need to do going tapping it gently — let roll pin pops out no roll pin is done there. You can take this roll pin.

And compare it to the new. They are relatively the same size so the roll pin is good so. Either replace it with the. You can use a new either way. It doesn’t matter you keep the other. One as a spare you’ll go back to here we’re going to take. This trigger guard and that’ll pop right out that’s the stock trigger guard kinda like. Isaid plain sharp on the edges it’s plastic it’s thin. It doesn’t fill in that gap. They just this is a very minimalist design. They didn’t do a lot of thinking when. They did they just wanted. Something to put over there. What this is gonna do your machical trigger guard you’re gonna drop.

You always test fit. Everything line up the holes make sure. Everything looks good. That fills in a little pointer here. That fills in this gap here so. You don’t have as much space for your fingers to rub up against. It fills that in much. More comfortable it gives. You a curve more room for your fingers. You are wearing gloves. More room period you got big giant hands. Something Plus as a bonus it’s its. More attractive than the stock. One which is nice it is a rather cheap. And ugly looking thing so. We are gonna put that in the spare part of. It okays so what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna put. This in here and get a lineup. You want to make sure. You put the trigger guard in there before. You try to get this rolled pin in.

You start banging on. This with a roll pin in. It no trigger guard in there. That eats unsupported. You could break the ear which. Iwouldn’t want to do so. You can use a pin oh I’m sorry. You can use the punch to start. You want to use the proper size punch. This case to get it started I’m just going to use the hammer gently since. Idon’t have a roll pin punch that’ll sit in. Ican’t hold the pin. And the punch and the hammer at the same time want to make sure you’re getting. That in their good and straight. It go you’re gonna put your little support back in here take your PIN punch go-slow do. You feel any resistance wiggle. That around make sure it’s right. Now it’s not fully seated. You want to go-slow nice and easy.

You want to make sure. That everything’s lined up correctly. You can take this smaller punch. You want and line up. That hole to make sure. That one’s lined up I’m going to continue with. This it’s going in there slowly but surely Legolas seems to be good. This is the place you don’t want to make your mistakes caution pays off here. Everything nothing looks out of the ordinary like. Ihate to seem like I’m being anal but. You really want to be careful with. You nervous about banging this. And having it slips off the receiver go ahead to the store. And get yourself a roll pin punch it’ll be like. Isaid earlier it’s just the same as. This but I’ll have a little nipple that’ll fit into the hole on the roll pin. And that’ll make it don’t slip off as easily.

Now I’m kind of gonna cover. This with my finger but. All right when you’re getting close to flush with. You want to be careful. You want to make sure. That punch is lined up. And they’ll give enough light here let. Me grab my flashlight. You want to make sure. That punch is lined up perfectly. You start banging on. That roll pin and you’re off to the side. That roll pin hits flush. You start banging on. That ear you can cause. Some damage so we want to avoid. You want to make sure that’s lined up it’s. Another good reason to have a set of roll pin punches moving around. You want to stabilize.

What you’re gonna want to do is you’re gonna want to look on the other side. That your receiver how much. You got to go and about sixteenth of an inch there. And I’m flush on this side so. Iwant to go a little bit. You want to get it to recess just a little bit. Now that’s gonna vary depending on your roll pin yours might be a little bit longer a little shorter. You want to make sure. You use the eighth inch punch. You use a small punch like. You might get it in there. And spread that pin apart. And make it harder get in there so make sure you’re using the right size punch that’s important. Now we’re gonna check the other side. You can’t see some light on their getting pretty close very close okay so. That in there now you’ll notice. You get a little bit of silver exposed on the edge there. And you’ve got your silver on the end of the roll pin.

You can take a black sharpie. And touch that up it’ll make. It looks like new you have a roll pin punch it’ll probably look neater to begin with. This other screw you’re gonna take your 16 in sixteenth inch hex key. And you’re gonna drop. That in there now you’re gonna make sure. That hole lined up properly. You can do away with. This block it gets in your way. Now make sure that hole is lined up properly. This hole in here is threaded so you’re gonna want to make sure. These threads you’re gonna kind of just sink. It in there till you feel a little pressure. And then you’re gonna start turning. That feels like it’s going in with just a little bit of tension not much at. All you’re good to go.

You don’t want to put much tension at. All just two fingers is. All you’re gonna need to get. It go if it seems like it’s not going in right take. It out start over this is threaded but it’s only aluminum will strip very easily so. You want to be careful safer is better. Ihate to sound anal but. This is not the type of thing you want to screw up. You screw up these threads. You need to go buy a new trigger guard. Now you’re going to turn. This get some light on. That for you it helps. That hope keep turning until it’s about flush you’ll feel a little resistance it’s just below flush that’s.

You need these receivers look at the stock trigger guard there’s. That comes out the backside so there’s. Nothing on the front of the trigger guard. That attaches here it’s just that’s. It there’s nothing there. You got three points of attachment. This side of the back. That side of the back. And the side of the front that’s. That holds it in there you’re in there you’re good. You don’t want to go much further. It says to make you look at the instructions. It says using 1/16 hex key slowly hand tighten the front set screw until. It is flush with the receiver tab. And that’s it takes care to not over tighten the setscrew as. It can result in damage to your trigger guard so it’s flush. You feel like you can go further. You don’t want to go further. It needs this to be supported by. This tab to hold the trigger guard. You go too far now it’s just gonna flop out. What you don’t want you’ve got your thread Locker on there already you’re good to go that’s.

It you’re done so that’s. All there is to it’s pretty simple come up with. Some good instructions. It tells you exactly. What you need to do but sometimes it’s a little easier to learn by watching somebody else do. That made it easy for you. That helped you get yours will be easy thank. You liked the video. It helps you can subscribe to my channel. Idon’t have a lot of videos right. Iplan on doing a I have quite a. Few plans for videos in the future so there gonna be. That are information technical kind of videos like. That are gonna help. You with things some disassemblies cleanings I’ve also got. Some ideas for some shooting like I’ve got.

One video up now shooting I’ve got. More fun stuff planned so grab to the channel in the meantime put. Some comments in the section below. Imissed something. Icould have done better. Or differently any tricks. Whatever that work can make. Even easier this help. Everybody out tell them. What you got and hopefully I’ll see. You on the next video thank you.

What’s going on guys today we’re going to be installing the Magpul enhanced trigger guard on an ar-15 so the things you’re going to need to do. This or a punch a hammer. And a allen key which is included with your Magpul trigger guard so first things first we’ve got a push pin. And a roll pin okay the push pin just take your punch push down on. It gives a little pull it’s going to snap right out okay. Now the roll pin, so we’re gonna need to use a little force. You have to take your punch line. It up and you want to smack. It with your hammer giving it lights taps to get. It started okay we’re going to flip. It over because it’s kind of already started on. This side here so you want to find a punch that’s gonna fit in there nicely I’m sure there’s an appropriate size but. Ihave no clue I just go through my punches. And find the one that’s going to work best okay before. You do this you’re going to want to grab. Something got some towels. And just brace your AR to kind of absorb the force but your. Iwant to make sure. That you’re not blocking where. That pin is going to come out of so just take our punch it’s going to drive right out almost there. We go so that’s that I’m gonna make sure you’re not going to lose your things YUM you’re not going to lose the pushpin. Because there’s another little bitty roll pin that’s holding. That in and just kind of stick. It back in their set. It to the side okay. Now we’re gonna grab our Magpul enhance trigger guard. What you have been obviously your trigger guard.

They supply their own roll pin. And instead of a push pin. This one actually has it’s a threaded screw it’s gonna hold. It in there so you’re gonna take your see which way. It goes here no goes. This no I had it right first time just sliding in their look at. It to make sure it’s lined up we’re flip. It over because it’s probably best. That we screw in the screw before. We go to whacking on. It just so we know. We got it somewhat lined up. And in the game so go ahead whoops but sit. That in the hole I made sure. It was lined up just start twisting it. And you’ll feel it grab okay where’d. You get it down so far. You don’t really have to torque.

This thing down too bad but don’t want. It to lose in there, so I’m just kind of gonna just ensure. That it’s in there really good. And just to add a bit. More that’s good all right there’s the first part the second part grab your roll pin look in here to see. That we’re lined up you’ll grab a flashlight look through their see. If I can see you exit hole. All right we’re pretty good right there to get. You started just kind of grab your hammer. How to give it some taps. Once you get it decently far you’re not going to want to. More up your AR so grab your punch. And you probably could beat. It in real quick but I’m trying to be Protestant sound like I’m being easy but I’m being kind of gentle with. It almost got it one. More little tap will have. It alright guys that’s good enough for me make sure. That we’re pretty even on. Both sides so there. You go guys that’s how. You install your trigger guard it’s on there it’s good. If you do get some scratches on there as.

You can see few on their take. Some oils rub it out the other thing. That works really good for these scratches. You got a little sharpie marker handy just go ahead. And fill them with a sharpie marker. Ialso use that on. This right here as it deflects the bullets are the casings as. They come out just kind of fill. That in with sharpie marker. You can’t really see. It so that’s our first video on the upgrades to our a ar-15 really like. It stays tuned for the next part.

Okay we’re going to take off the factory trigger guard. One thing you need to be aware of check with your manufacturer as to which way. This pin goes out now on the armalite. It goes out from right to left so other ones may go left to right so like. Isaid check with your manufacturer. One pound taking this pin out. They do actually make a jig. You can buy to do this but fortunately. Idon’t have one so but I’m going to use. This little block of wood here. And just slip it up underneath. And our pins right here. Iwant to make sure. We clear it on the other side. That gives the trigger guard. Something to rest on alright andI’m going to take our punch. Ivery much recommend not using a steel hammer. This little job or right here a plastic. And rubber on one side we’re going to drive our pin out okay check we’re coming out good okay. If you’re not careful. You can snap these little ears off. And then you’re really got a problem there. We go alright pins out set. It off to the side you know the little punch release. One looks pretty easy like. Isaid be very careful. You bust one of these little ears off you’re in trouble ok. Now we’re going to we’ve got our magpul enhanced trigger yard okay. They give you a little set of instructions. That come with you can pretty much tell which way you’re going now. They say bring in right to left so. And here’s the pin so again we’re going to give a piece of wood under here support. This goes in fairly easy. Ibelieve I gotta get. That right up underneath there. We use our other punch hey sugar flush on the other side there.

We go okay now for the fun part still with. We can get rid of now allen screw on. Iwould recommend just a little dab of Loctite. You don’t want it working loose not much just a little. All right there we go oh man yeah figures it’s. One of those days okay reapply the lock tight in here since. All over my hand ok damn. Another frustrating there. Now it’s in their thread. It in okay you don’t want. It to go all the way through I’ll bring it up here so. You can see you want. It down in there just a little bit but not. All the way in but not quite flush. Either so back it out just a hair. Now works there we go the huge over molded grip meg pulls. And enhance trigger guard so. What I was talking about earlier about the little piece of tape hold. Because sometimes your finger drops off the end but. Ido plan to get one of the inserts made specifically for this. And that’ll be down the road. And I’ll put it on video show.

All so there it installation of the grip. And the trigger guard well. That about does it for this segment so like to say be safe send. It down range and target on.

Everybody back again with. You for the seventh video out of the series I’ll be doing upgrades. And accessories to my ar-15. This is the Smith & Wesson M&P; 15 T. Or tactical as I mentioned. This is the seventh video so. You haven’t seen my prior videos feel free to jump out to my channel. And check those out. This video is going to be covering a real quick. And easy upgrade you can do to your ar-15. Some people feel it’s necessary. Some people feel it’s not kind of mixed emotion on the accessory but — the trigger guard the current trigger guard as. You can see here is just kind of flat. It is aluminum and a lot of people. What they find with. This especially for myself is. Ilive in a cold weather state so trying to fit a glove into the trigger guard there’s a little bit. More difficult and puts a little bit. More undue pressure on. That trigger than I’d really feel comfortable doing so in order to get around. What I’ve done is I picked up. One of these Meg pull m OE trigger guards its just a polymer drop-in replacement runs about $10 on amazon com it’s gotten very good reviews. You do have to be very careful. When you’re installing this. And I’ll kind of touch bases on. That but ultimately. It just gives more room there in the trigger guard so you’re able to put. You know again a glove finger in there. And be a little bit. Safer with the pressure that’s being put on.

That trigger so the model number for this make pull. One is ma g for 1/7 blk. It did come with instructions on how to install. This pant lid here although it’s pretty self-explanatory just a couple pins. You drive out and replace with the pins. They give you which is right here. And then they also sense a nice little sticker here make pull sticker which is kind of cool so. And then obviously the trigger guard itself. What I’m going to do is pull the gun down here might take off my mag well grip is that’s covering the front pin. That I’ll need to take out I’m also going to separate the upper from the lower I’m not going to go ahead. And get into how to do. That I’m sure you are familiar with. That operation so ultimately. What will be left with is just a lower receiver without the magwell grip.

And without the magazine so let’s go to. And we’ll take a look at. It from there alright guys so. Igot the upper removed from the lower receiver. And removed my mag well grips so essentially I’m left with the lower receiver. You can notice I have there’s a pin up here. And a pin back here. Ialready started driving out the rear pin but essentially. What you want to first do is take. This tension in the front here. You can use anything you know. Idon’t have actually had a punch. That small so what I’ll do is I’m just going to push down on the front pin. Because it’s just tension spring tension in there. And then pull what you’ll notice it’s just kind of as. You can see clips in there. Or less so with that depressed. What you’re able to do is then go back with a punch. And punch through this rear pin mine is really super tight just be very careful. When you’re punching it. That you’re not going to break off the things. That hold the pin in there.

You break that off you’re gonna. Imean that’s part of your lower receiver so it’s just gonna be a mess having to try to fix. Something like that, so I’m gonna go ahead. That here real quick. And we’ll take a look at putting it on then alright guys so as. You can see here I got the old original trigger guard off. Igot the new trigger guard here. That I’m gonna be putting on. What you want to do to put. This new trigger guard on is gone ahead. And start with your rear pin. And you’re just gonna go to make sure. That those lines are lined up real nicely. They did give you a new pin to go ahead. And push through that as the connection so. What I’m gonna do is go ahead. And punch that through here real quick okay so as.

You can see I got the rear pin set. It in their real nicely real tight. What I’m gonna do is go ahead. And work on the front pin here. They do provide you a screw pin. They want to use a 1/16 inch hex screw. You are putting it in here just be very careful. That you’re not using too much torque. You don’t want to over torque. You can strip that out. You won’t most likely be able to get. It out again so just be very careful on. That so go ahead that real quick. And we’ll set all back up again. And take a get what it’s like for the finished product. All right guys so it installed button back up the gun put back together looks like. It turned out real nice. You can see there I got a little bit. More of an indent there in the trigger guard. What was before which should ultimately give.

You a little bit more room to put your finger in. One thing to make note of. You guys go ahead and try to do. Something like you do have the magwell grip. Idid notice that since. It wasn’t a flat trigger guard along the bottom here. It did come down now at an angle the nwg. Or magwell grip here had to be dremeled on the inside so. It would allow for more spacing for. That trigger guard now comes down. It was a real tight fit to begin with. That magwell grip so with. That new trigger guard on there. It was next to impossible to slip. It over without again modifying. That magwell grip to provide a little bit. More space to get that trigger guard buttoned in there but like. Iused the regular file. And then I kind of finished. It up with a dremel tool just to stand away a lot of the plastic on. That magwell gripped to get of enough space be real careful with. You are doing it you do have to do.

You have to stand away at the magwell grip is right around. This screw housing so. You go too far you’re gonna break right through into. That screw housing which isn’t going to do. Any good so just be real careful with. That ultimately it wasn’t a big deal took. Me about 15 minutes just a brush setup get. It fixed up — modified to work in there so that’s. Everything hope you guys enjoyed the video. You have any questions feel free to let.

Hey guys will chambers air 1500 calm. We got a new review for you guys today. We are looking at the CMC triggers 2×2 two-stage trigger we’ve been using this trigger for a couple of months. And so far we’re liking what we’re seeing we’ve done a lot of dry fire practice a lot of groups zero in rifles. And getting ready for the varmint season as. You can see here we’ve taken. Some groundhogs and varmints with the CMC two-by-two to stage. We also took some raccoons a couple of weeks ago. And so far again really liking this trigger. It offers a nice clean smooth first stage a crisp break. And the reset is just awesome. You get a nice positive reset plenty of spring pressure on your finger pushing it forward. And it’s also a little bit shorter. Some triggers I’ve used which. Iactually like so real happy with the performance of the CMC 2×2 two-stage trigger. We have here about the only complaint I’ve had. This is kind of positive. Or excuse me a negative with a positive is the second stage so. This is advertised as a 2 pound by 2 pound trigger ours is breaking right around 3. And 3/4 pounds its pretty consistent at. That which again is right in my preferred pole range. Ilike a hunting trigger to be between three. And a half and four pounds as a two-stage trigger we’re talking single stage triggers. Ilike them a little bit lighter. However the pole weight is beautiful I’m really liking. You start pulling through. That first stage I found it’s very easy to dry fire practice to pull right through.

That second stage without. Even hit you know hitting a wall like. Many of the others two-stage triggers I’ve used. Or possibly you’ve used. And at first I was concerned about. Iwas concerned while out hunting it was gonna cause an issue. When I’m out hunting I take. That slack up in the trigger. While I’m getting on target. And then once the shot is there. Ijust barely have to give it a little bit. More pressure that trigger. And the hammer drops. Itake the shot and hopefully make the shot. Iwas concerned that with not having. That real defined second stage wall. Iwas going to have. Some issues well I didn’t in fact. What I found was it actually made. Me practice a little bit better trigger control which is the positive side of. This negative so never had.

Any issues where the rifle. You know surprised and just went off as. Iwas slowly pulling the trigger. Iwas able to find the wall of the second stage. Each time when shooting. That critters with my heart just a pumping and the Adrenaline’s going I had no problems like. It performed very well also think I liked about. This thing with that short reset in the very minimal lock time is follow-up shots. Another groundhog a couple days ago. You might have seen. Some pictures on her Facebook page. And the first shot I hit the hog but. Igrazed him he left the tough a hair up by his hole. And took off running well. Iwas able to make a quick follow-up shot thanks to using the air 15 semi-automatic rifles. And because of the CMC 2×2 two-stage trigger so real happy with the results pricing is right in line with the competition right about $230 retail. You can find them cheaper at other places. They have some stinkles single-stage triggers as well.

Some of those are a little bit. More affordable this one’s price. You know right in line with the competition. And it’s definitely a sound investment. If you’re looking for a higher quality trigger for your hunting rifle plus its 100% made in the great state of Texas what’s not to like about. That so thanks again for watching you guys will be seeing some dry-firing video. Where we’re sitting here with our rifle in a jig. And we’re doing some dry fire practice so. You guys can hear how the trigger moves. And see the reset and here. And we’ve also got some video of. Me shooting when I was earring a couple of rifles so stay tuned. We appreciate you guys watching please subscribe to our Channel. And watch out for our upcoming videos.

We got a lot of playing this summer take care.

Hey guys welcome back to the channel welcome back to the woods of NIDA hope Jeremy from T tag here today we’re checking out. This is the third installment in the ar-15 trigger roundup actually. This is CMC triggers it’s the three. And a half pound tactical trigger with the straight trigger shoe today the CMC is also on the budget end of the spectrum for drop-in ar-15 triggers so let’s go in for a closer look. And see what you get for your money alright let’s go in for a closer look at the trigger pull. And one thing I should mention right off the bat is. That unlike basically. All of the other drop-in triggers on the market there is no means by which the drop-in unit can be snugged up inside of your receiver. And with a few different trigger pins including the ones. That came with the CMC trigger there’s actually. Some wiggle rooms the holes through the trigger the bushings are a slightly larger diameter. Than the diameter of the pins which makes sense. Because you have to be able to get them through there but. What that means is. That there’s actually. Some wiggle room in your receiver. And maybe you can hear. This so it was a pretty minor nitpick but. This slack you can sometimes feel. When you go shooting and. It feels like just a little bit of slack. Or wiggle in the trigger. Because you know that’s. What it is if I own. This trigger unit I would probably put. Something underneath the back of. It between it and the receiver like a little piece of double-sided tape.

You know the foam kind. Something to just squish in their press the trigger unit up. And take up that slack like. Most of the other ones have set screws. Some of them have a little bit of rubber. Or even Springs underneath them but. Something to take up. That slack so disregarding. That possible little source of wiggle. Once you put your finger on. It that is taken up. And now you are right up against. This year there is no further take-up. Or slack pulling it slowly shows really no discernible creep at. All it’s a nice clean break with very little over travel. Now the reset relatively short. It is audible and you can feel. It in your finger and then pulling back on. It again no slack now their clean break overall a really great feeling trigger on the fundamentals very nice. Now real quick before moving on. Ithought we would discuss the build of the CMC trigger unit itself. Because it is a bit of an outlier in the market. Now I do have a couple.

More that aren’t on the table right. Now because they’re in rifles for testing but. This does represent. Most of the drop in trigger market. All of these have machined aluminum bodies they’re cnc machined from a piece of aluminum billet. And they are anodized the only exception besides the CMC is the wilson combat trigger. This is actually machined from a piece of steel. Now the CMC was the lowest cost option by a pretty darn decent margin until. This velocity trigger came along. This one is also an aluminum billet that’s machined. And then anodized the CNC kept costs down by doing something that’s. Even simpler which is it’s actually made out of steel sheet metal it’s a piece of steel sheet metal.

That is bent into shape as. You can see and the trigger parts are inside of. It with those bushings. Now just to be clear. Ireally have nothing against. This at all is it’s. More than sufficient it’s very light it’s very simple. And it keeps costs down. And I think that’s great. And you still get a drop in trigger that’s a lot easier to install. Than your normal multiple part trigger that’s the only other note really on the build is. That the hammer itself is quite skinny. And the disconnect err is also skinny. And I really don’t know. If that’s a problem. Idon’t think it’s an issue but. Iknow a lot of other manufacturers like to make a point of setting. That they have a full 1/4 inch width hammer. And a full 1/4 inch width disconnect er. Most of the ones here are 1/4 inch width but. Some of them are not. And this one is an example of a unit. That uses a skinny disconnect er. And a skinnier hammer as well yeah oh crap. Idid not expect all the flame out of.

That juggernaut tactical break there. And actually like startled. Me after that first shot big freaking fireball cool it’s a fast trigger ah I’ve never actually experienced. That before this thing is pushing the muscle down so hard. That it’s kicking the stock up into my cheekbone a little bit weird but. It is not a review of the break it’s a review of the trigger. And that thing feels great for. Both slow precise shots. And rapid-fire yes as. You can see I did forget to put sights on. This gun before I came out to the woods today. Iwas doing that muzzle brake shootout testing but like. Isaid I put hundreds of rounds with. This trigger and no complaints as usual thank. You for joining me out in the woods hope. You hear me over the babbling of. This rook tells you the CMC trigger is great dropping of course is really nice the price point of.

This is good it was the lowest price. Ithink on the market until. That velocity trader came along. And beat it on price. Iwould say unfortunately. That velocity also beats. It on quality the trigger pull is a little bit better the features are a little bit better. Irefer it I think it’s better made as the mp3 coating the quality is better. And the like I said the trigger pull fundamentals are better so. Iwould not choose the CMC over the velocity. However it does come preinstalled on a lot of rifles like. These lands are lower. And it’s excellent I probably would not see. Any reason to change. It put it is a really good trigger again. Iwould modify it a little bit myself by putting something squishy underneath the back of. It to lift it up and kind of pin. It in ze receiver so. It doesn’t wiggle a little bit but.

Idon’t think mostly would. Even notice that I do like to look at. This straight trigger shoot. It also feels really good on your finger. Iknow that little lip on the bottom might look like it’s uncomfortable but it’s not. They give your finger a really nice place to rest in the same spot every time. And consistency is great for accuracy so. If you’re on a budget. Iwould definitely still recommend. It although not more. Than that velocity trigger alright please like. And subscribe if you would especially. If you’d like to be notified about future videos like the next six installments of the ar-15 drop-in trigger roundup maybe 7 as usual check out the link in the video description below — the food becomes calm tea jack for the full write-up on.

This CMC trigger with photos. And more information. And I hope you’ll join. Me in the woods again next time you.

This guy’s Lee super three gun trigger a little bit is I’ll just beat. Me up a little bit I have stock turn around before so. Irun 12 reload with 12 see that’s a big difference tell. Ican tell right away the trigger pull is a lot louder. And the resets a lot shorter. Than stock trigger it is a two-stage trigger think it’s. And a half or three. And a half pound second stage feels like a 1/2 pound to. That was most probably. Some of the fastest shooting I’ve done ever I’ll practice with a little. More gets a little better on my reload. He got them from guys Lee automatics yeah I’ve shot. Few there triggers I really liked. Everyone I’ve shot they do have a YouTube page so just run over their check. That out check out the website thanks for watching

hey guys and welcome to Z reviews today I’m checking out the guys Lee super semi-automatic enhanced trigger. Or the SS AE trigger. This is a custom trigger for the AR platform. Now why I want to do. This is basically because the standard trigger on the SR 556 is fairly heavy I’m guessing around about 8 pounds somewhere there. That really was my only complaint. Idid the review on the AR for the sr5 6i. This trigger is supposed to break nice and crisp like Cammy at about three. And a half pounds so there’s about two pounds of the first stage. It is a double or two-stage trigger. And then it breaks Chris put about 1/2 pound so anyhow. What I’ll do is look. This is just gonna be as. You guys know I show things. It really is I’m going to show. Igo about installing the trigger. And just a little bit about. It men will just Aradia actually test on. It ok so first of these are the instructions. That come with the guys through automatic stria obviously. You want to follow these step by step on the back here you’ve got actually the diagram obviously of your dis connector. And your hammer and obviously also the trigger there so there’re different areas. Where you’ve got to put. Some lubrication oil grease so the trigger itself will have a look at. Me I’ve had a look at the manual part obviously. These your trigger and the disconnect er there’s the hammer there. And we’ve got three pins here. Now the silver one here is just a slave pin okay so. You put in the basically. You put in the trigger.

You also put in a hammer. You can use a slave pin then you’ve just got your standard hammer. And your trigger pin there. And last of all there’s a little bit of grease in here as well so pretty straightforward those of. You aren’t too familiar with the AR platform basically you’ve got two pins here on the lower receiver which obviously will release the trigger. And also the yellow hammer so let’s go ahead. And take the hammering up first, so we’ll just pull the trigger. And slowly release that forward just to take the slack off. It okays well pull the pins out. Because we’ll use the guys Lee pins obviously so there’s the original Ruger happen it’s obviously next is the actual trigger. And the disconnect er so. Once again just push down. And the pin will come out the back here okay so that’s. It that’s the trigger. And the hammer disconnect to taken out so move.

These off to one side okay so. When installing the SSA trigger you’ll see here. That you’ve got these lubrication points on the disconnect er. And basically the trigger so obviously the trigger pin hole you’ve got to put. It there and then up underneath the trigger. And then also on the disconnect er here okay just. It says lubrication points. Ifind probably the best way to do. It just a cotton wool bud there, so I’ve already got a little bit on the end but I’ll get a bit. More okay so here on the disconnect er up under here. Once on the top there beneath the top there. Ishould say the trigger put a bit there. And we’ll get a little bit. More water stir out in the hole there the trigger pinned it’s put a bit across their policy.

You know you don’t want too much but just enough they’re put on. It okays so what we’ll do is we’ll just install the trigger. Now but first of all we’ll just put the slave pin in okay the reason. We put the slave pin in is obviously. When you’re putting the actual trigger pin in it’s so easy much easier to do. You can just push it straight through basically so it’s got to make sure those holes just there. You might not be able to see. It on the camera just of the disconnect has to line up obviously cause. It doesn’t line up you just way to push. That the slave pin through then got quite got. It that’s it there. We go okay so just push. It through you know. When you’ve got because obviously. You only need your fingers to push.

It through now with the spring on the trigger as well obviously. This goes forward okay on the bottom of the lower receiver doesn’t go back okay, so we’ll just seed. It okays so what’s a team obviously it’s gonna be the lower hole in the lower receiver there so. You basically just with your finger. And the tension of the spring he’s got to push. You can see it there just gotta push. It okays see so you can see the slave pin there okay so. You can see and it’s lined up down there. You really need three hands for this. You see the original guys Lee install I’m thinking even makes mention. That anyhow you can just take. One of their pins just push. It straight through okay so the slave pin will fall out the back. And then obviously we’ve got.

It installed correctly there Co. You can clearly see. That it’s got that tension there from the spring being installed correctly okay so. Now we’re just gonna install the hammer so. Once again have a look at the Russians there’s a little rotation point there on the hammer pen. And then actually on the hammer to the top. And just below here so. What I find probably easier to do is just get a bit of lubrication of the grease. It over the hole here to start with. And then the other lubrication points. You can do you actually install. This is honestly guys. This a part of you really need to have three hands. Because it’s quite difficult. You put your slave pin in there again. That makes it easy to line up. And push through with the other actual hammer pen. You actually putting the hammer in it’s got a the legs of.

This Springs here okay looking at. It from Simon have to sit over the top of the trigger pin okay. They don’t go under. They go over the top so push. And then obviously that under tension has to be lined up with the actual hammer pin hole okay so. This is work it’s a little bit tricky. Because you’ve really got a push on. This actually get it lined up. Because there’s a fair bit of tension there obviously with the hammer spring and then. You line it up basically you’ve just got to be able to push down be ready with the actual hammer pin. And push that slave pin out. Isaw just try to give it a go. This a little bit difficult but. You really need three hands kind of almost got. It there we go so. Imean that’s a little bit of a tricky. You know you can sort of tap.

It just to get the first part of. And then just push it in from the other side. Once it’s aligned so as. You can see look it’s cuz it’s under pressure it’s its very hard to do. This just hit your fingers but. You know we got there okay so. Now we’ve just put the grease on their want to make sure. That obviously you know. It does work so you’ll know obviously pull the hammer back take up. That first little bit of slack just put your finger in front of the hammer side doesn’t drive on the receiver yep. That works no problem law let’s put. It on the safe make sure. That the safety works as well so that’s. All good so let’s get. This upper back on and don’t actually take.

And just make sure it does work. It don’t work safely okay, so I’ll try. This trigger out now obviously. Whenever you put in a trigger in look. Idon’t care whether it’s actually from an armor. It yourself should always test. And make sure that it’s working safely so. What I’m going to do is just test. It out here because I’ve actually got a contract to do right after. Ifinished making sure. These triggers right just to get a. Few wild dogs and so forth so. This is the reason this sort of trigger. Something that obviously. Ican bring up to my shoulder. And then obviously get a couple of Rapid Shots off without having a real heavy trigger that’s going to take my aim. Or possibly drop my shot okay, so we’ll see. It goes anyway I’ve just got a magazine here. And we’ll just see we go we’ll just take a couple of just normal shots to start with. We won’t do anything too rapid just to get a feel for.

That trigger it’s really nice so. You can actually feel. It like the to stay just like. You just it’s so easy to get used to just. Now after only fine. What a couple of shots so. You just take up that first bit of slack. It just breaks just so crisp so it’s just beautiful so see. Now just retain a couple of quicker shots see that’s really light really nice trigger absolutely beautiful such a massive improvement over the original Ruger trigger just very nice okay we’ll just get rid of the rest of the rounds clear so look overall guys. This trigger is absolutely beautiful that’s the reason why I got. Because it’s perfect for my needs as an occupational shooter so anyhow.

That seems to be all working functioned. When you’re functioning correctly, so we’ll finish up the review their guys. Because I’ve actually got work to do okay till next time we’ll catch.
